Nicknames for tiny: little one, prince/ss/x, my child, puppy (depending on what you're ok with or like of course)

As a carer, Lucifer tends to be on the stricter side

This means he has clear rules and consequences for if you break them. However, they're mostly rules like not eating too much candy, brushing your teeth on time, managing screen time and making sure to drink enough water (not just juice!)

Consequences depend on the rule you broke, so for example if you ate candy in secret and lied, Lucifer would not hand out anymore candy for a certain amount of time or if you don't brush your teeth, he will come to you every night and brush them together with you to make sure you keep up with it now

"punishments" just turn out to do more harm than good usually and at least with you, he tries to restrain himself and show that he cares for you and your wellbeing, instead of making you fear and avoid him

Lucifer is also a big fan of work sheets and if you're old enough to work on them, likes to set you up in his office so you two can do "work" side by side

He even grades papers if possible, gives you little gold stickers and other rewards like candy and praises you for a job well done

Let's you sleep in his lap while he works too - he won't even complain when his legs fall asleep and just summon a cushion to make it easier on his legs while letting you sleep

Pats your head a lot - when he praises you, when he walks past you as you play, when you hug or cuddle and so on

Satan

Nicknames for tiny: kitty, pumpkin, kiddo, little one, bud (depending on what you're ok with or like of course)

As a carer, Satan is not necessarily strict per se but definitely goes more in that direction

He sets up a whole plan with you, makes little to do lists with illustrations so you remember to do things like brush your teeth, wash your face etc before bed for example

Having read into parenting books and tips to make sure he's not doing anything wrong, Satan understands quite a bit more about what things can help you, why you may react in some ways and how to work on problems in a way that isn't forced but a collaborative effort between you two

He's very enamored with you and even plays with you with stuffies if you like that. There are a bunch of cat stuffies that found their way on his bed and towers of books over time - so there's always one on hand when he wants to talk to you 'through' them

"Mr Claw wants to ask if you want to read a book together? How about..."

Favorite activity together is definitely reading out loud for you. Especially when it's an interactive book, like the ones that have little images instead of words so the kid can read out loud together with the adult

Also loves going outside though and playing in the park. If you like bugs, you can catch them and figure out what it's called together with an encyclopedia or if you don't, there are enough plants and the like outside you can identify!

Likes to give you little tasks/activities like finding something for every color of the rainbow and doing fun quizzes on stuff you learnt that day

Ruffles your hair if it's fine with you, otherwise just pats you on the head - when you're joking around, when you've gotten something right/done a good job and so on

okay so i read a lot. When i say a lot i mean a lot. The amount of fanfiction i’ve consumed in the last three years is probably unhealthy, but what can i say really? I don’t have much going on in my life🤷🏼‍♀️

so going into this, i contemplated how i should categorise my favourites. Current favs? Fav fics per ship? In the end, i decided to simply compile a list of fics that i still think about weeks and months (if not years) after i first read them. Fics that punched me in the gut, fics that made me question my whole existence. I could probably go on forever with this list but i’ve narrowed it down to 10 to make the job a little bit easier for both me and you hahaha!

Changes in Wordgirl: Exploration

Let's talk about some of the changes our project makes to the original show's timeline. Since Wordgirl: Exploration takes place when Becky/Wordgirl is 12 while she's 10/11 in the show, it's safe to assume that most if not all of the show's events are canon to Exploration. However! We're a reboot not a continuation, which means there are things we've changed either to fit the narrative we want to tell or because we didn't like how something was portrayed in the show (Go Gadget Go is non-canon).

Everything listed here are changes we can't organically explain in our episodes, so you might see hints of what's in store for Wordgirl: Exploration. There's also some changes missing on purpose because we can fit them into our episodes.

Character Changes

Huggy got an upgrade from the show. He's got a prehensile tail now that he can use during fights (he's a monkey after all), is capable of changing color (excellent for sneaking up on villains), and has limited shapeshifting. He can't do much with his shapeshifting, just enough to make him look different than his secret identity or give him a small advantage during fights. Separate from his shapeshifting, Huggy is able to unhinge his jaw like a snake to consume massive amounts of food. It's definitely the ability Becky finds the most disturbing but boy has it really helped in a lot of fights against the food based villains. We just felt it was a little unfair that he didn't get any powers when he's just as alien. He still got the short end of the stick compared to Wordgirl, but they both work with his powerset as best they can.

Wordgirl and Kid Math have more alien traits because they deserve it <3 No one really questions Becky's less human traits. When you've got Chuck and his brother running around, a 12 yo girl with fangs and weird eyes isn't anything noteworthy. Kid Math's cape being traded for wings does mean that he doesn't fly like Wordgirl anymore. He buzzes around like a giant math obsessed dragonfly while Wordgirl treats gravity as an option.

It's an extremely minor thing but we took away Chuck's height. In the show he towers over almost all the civilians. We like short Chuck better, so he's only 5'6" now.

Sally is Afro-Latina and therefore has taught Becky and TJ Spanish. Becky is a natural, and since Ms. Question is also Afro-Latina, they both enjoy having someone they can talk to.

Squeaky is a woman now. We support women's wrongs <3. Also consequently Dr. Two-Brains is non-binary now as he's a fusion between a cis female mouse and a cis male human.

Story Changes

Okay, let's talk Kid Math for a second. In the show, Kid Math shows up at the start of season 7 and quickly gets established as an overeager but inexperienced superhero who's got a lot to learn about being a hero on Earth. They even seem to set it up as Wordgirl taking him under her wing and teaching him all she knows, which would have really shook up the status quo. Except they didn't. He's only been a background character ever since. Which is wild! This kid is just running around! He could have helped with Rhyme and Reason but he didn't! So we're changing how long he's been on Earth. In Exploration, Kid Math made his debut only a week ago. He's still very new in the public eye and Wordgirl is keeping him under close watch. As a result, he's going to be showing up in quite a few episodes.

Becky never tried to tell her dad and TJ she was Wordgirl. Honestly, her telling them did nothing for the show other than tell the audience her backstory. So in Exploration she has yet to tell her family and has made no attempt in the past.

Okay we had the 'nice' question with Anna, if anything about Anna is nice. On to less nice things.

Third question! Anna obviously kidnaps people for more then just the eating. People are useful for certain magics. I assume once you end up there you are dead regardless of how long that takes. So the question. Does Anna have a compulsion to kill? Or is it just pragmatic disinterest in general morality that the lets her kill? Does she have a preferred method of killing? For that matter, Seifer obviously brings her people, but does she have a preferred method for getting new people/bodies?

By and large, Anna's murderous actions are driven by "necessity" and not desire, precisely. She can't just use someone for alchemical experimentation and then let them go. And so she disposes of them, usually for consumption if it's safe to do so.

When she's in her lab, Anna doesn't waste aether or effort on disposal. A slit throat, a broken neck, a hard stab through the heart--whatever is going to kill efficiently is what she'll go for.

After all, killing holds no secrets for her. Anna's spent all of her time in Eorzea learning as many different ways of killing someone as she possibly can. She can use melee weapons, she just chooses not to the majority of the time. (And yes, she's competent with ranged weapons, but why would she bother with a weak-ass bow when she could just blast a fireball instead?) Ending someone's life isn't difficult; she doesn't derive pleasure from that specifically.

However, Anna... has a temper. And when that temper rises, she takes it out on everything around her. With enough survival instinct to know you don't destroy your own havens, Anna will travel away from the d'Latu properties and just... blow up half of the desert, turning sand to glass by slinging fire and ice, laughing manically whenever something dies, feeding her more aether and fueling her fits of rage.

During those little excursions that she pencils into her schedule--yes, she does abide by a self-imposed schedule and hates having it interrupted--Anna will exert that magical proficiency she's spent so much time building. She does enjoy that and makes no secret of it. If she's in a particularly nasty mood, she'll use that same proficiency to torture someone (usually a woman who looked at Seifer or existed in his proximity longer than Anna likes) by tearing aether out of them, twisting the healing magics she knows to cause the maximum amount of pain.

And that is how Anna finds the majority of her "pointless" kills. As insanely possessive as she is, Anna either has Tsukiko follow Seifer or pays C'allie to keep an eye on him when the yurei needs to remain at home to replenish herself. They report back to her on women who've been too close to encroaching on Anna's territory, and then Anna goes out to fetch herself new toys.

For alchemical experimentation, she seeks out very specific living creatures that fit the bill for whatever she needs. When crafting a fantasia, Anna needs at least five living members of whatever race she's crafting it for. When C'allie asked her for a potion to let her half-sister slough the scales she'd taken on for her ex, the Kyho assassin knew well enough to bring the five Seeker women that Anna needed to craft the fantasia. Every specific potion involves a list of ingredients, and Anna will either simply overpower who she needs or send C'allie or Seifer out to do it for her.

If she needs to lure in a quick meal, well...

She's beautiful. And confident. And quite a few people mistake the air of lethality for sensuality. When Anna's on the hunt, she's capable of being quite seductive, all the easier to bring prey back to an isolated location where she can eat her fill.

For those kills, she uses her claws and teeth.

A Handful Of Games I Played This Year

Neophyte

I've long since stopped trying to keep roguelites out of these lists because they are such a large part of the independent game scene and more importantly because no matter how much I stamp my feet and insist They're All The Same, I Do Keep Playing Them. So Neophyte is just that; a vampire survivors-esque roguelite where you're playin a little monk man.

You pick two spells/attacks at the start of the game and over the course of it gain stat bonuses, spell modifiers, defensive skills, ultimate skills, the works. It comes off as something of a combination of a roguelite, where you're building your character over the course of the run, with more of a vampire survivors gameplay loop where enemies spawn and you kill them. Kill all the enemies in a wave, get a set of prizes, repeat. It ends after... I want to say 9 - 12 waves, and if you win you get a prestige modifier that makes the next run harder. Simple. To be honest I think the game distills what a lot of people really liked about roguelites quite well, and it makes for a satisfying gameplay loop, if you're into that sort've thing.

Sorry We're Open

Sorry we're open is what I'm calling a corporate horror RPG where you play a manager of a retail chain. Over the course of a workday you encounter various paranormal entities with a slight retail twist, and using your party members (which are randomly generated and are capable of being replaced via hiring and firing), you beat em up. You use money from your job to use skills, and in the course of exploring the retail store you begin to unravel a bizzare eldritch corporate plot.

It all sounds more jokey then it is, and while I'd struggle to call it scary it kept my attention. In my opinion it ran a little long and the combat is a little loose with the amount of money it gives you so by the end of the game you're just spamming powerful skills and skipping combats and wondering why the combat is even in the game. The secret ending is a bit obnoxious too. That said I do think it tells a neat little story and while you're getting adjusted to the combat system it's quite satisfying. Made by the guy that made No Delivery, Oates, if you are familiar, another game I quite enjoyed.

Thunder Ray

Remember punch out? Super punch out maybe? This game isn't Exactly like that, and I wouldn't go in expecting Super Punch Out Two or anything, but it's a solid modern adaption. First person boxing game, you are Thunder Ray, world champion, who is abruptly abducted by aliens to compete in a galactic fighting tournament.

There's really not much more to say about it. If you're not familiar with punch out it's a first person boxing game where attacks must either be blocked or dodged and you gotta land punches and there's health bars and etc etc. Thunder ray is very similar to that, though it's a bit more heavy on the memorization and repitition of fights. It was apparently made by a mobile development team as a first effort at PC dev and it's quite good for a first timer! The visual style is fantastic and while it's not the longest game in the world I did enjoy working my way through it. More fights to come, evidently, as the story ends on a cliffhanger.

Escape from Terror City

Third person lightgun game. You will need a controller. You're a freedom fighter fighting an invasion force that's attempting to conquer a neutral planet that mines vital minerals for war efforts. While the developer of the game has invested much time into this setting and he has loads of games about it, I'm going to leave it at that. The plot isn't really a home run, and it's very formulaic, but I can't bring myself to bag on a guy that's making his own little personal worldbuilt setting that he made a website for and everything. Let's get to the actual game.

Third person lightgun game, so you're viewing the world from behind the player character. You will need a controller; I repeat myself for good reason, the game is God Awful on keyboard and mouse. You move your targeting reticule to select where you are shooting, hold A to shoot. Make your way through stages on rails, branching paths, five levels. Another simple one, reminsicent of old arcade lightgun games, though unlike beat-em-ups and shoot-em-ups, lightgun games never really got the cult following they did, so this is a bit of a rarity as far as I'm aware. I'm not gonna tell you the game is perfect, there's a bit of polish missing and the dialogue portraits range from passable to almost grotesque. But the majority of the graphical work in the game is solid, and while there's a few Weird Bits, I think it's a fun little romp. Again, not a long game.

The Stinger: Slightly more well covered games that I'm talking about anyway

Void Stranger

If you've been following this blog for any appreciable amount of time you know there was a period of time of about two months where I was religiously playing this game and it made me like chew my nails and bug my eyes out of my skull and everything. It's good! If you're into Sokoban (block pushing/tile replacement puzzles) with a dash of large scale overarching la-mulana esque puzzles. I stress the second part of that is not a massive part of the game; it is largely faithful to the sokoban genre.

Largely for the puzzle game player, I'd reccomend it more for the sokoban then the overarching puzzles (though if you can finish them and get past the puzzles in the main game there's quite an interesting little trail to follow there! I don't want to downplay that!), and if you're shooting for the large scale puzzles there's a few that make you take notes though, so I'd reccomend keeping some basic notes while you progress through the game. The story follows Gray, a lady in waiting for a king. I can't tell you anymore without spoiling anything. I've technically already spoiled you a little bit! The game does have a significant and compelling plot however, and I really enjoyed discovering it. There's not a part of this game that I don't whole heartedly reccomend outside of a few puzzles. I'd keep talking but I think I'd just sort've keep repeating myself and gushing about the game. Strongly Reccomended.

Book of Hours

Another game I played a lot. You're an occult librarian maintaining an occult library. There's a lot to be said about the game world but the fun is in the discovery so I'll leave it at that.

It is quite literally a library management game and you do less handing books out then sorting your vast mansion of a library and studying eldrich secrets. Oddly comfortable, and not a game that pushes you very hard. If you're looking for something more along the lines of say, animal crossing, with a bit more of a Wizard flare then you can not go wrong with this. It's a solid bit of experimentation and I reccomend it. I can't even really talk about the mechanics very much because learning how things fit together is also a part of the charm. It's just sort've a charming wizardgame. I dunno.

19) Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it. Part of me wants to skip this and substitute another question but I am working on some art for the Librarians exchange at the moment. That has to be secret but I don't think it's too much of a #Spoiler to do one line like

"Librarians win with what they know - not magic!"

36) How do you come up with fic titles? What's the one you're most proud of?

I'm quite fond of song titles to be honest. Not usually lyrics, or not formatted as such anyway.

Another place I have looked for titles are episode titles. Not for the show I am writing for usually, but from any show I have watched and liked. I used to keep a text file with a list of titles I had seen that I liked, and when titling a fic I checked that list first to see if anything fit.

Sometimes there is a line in the fic, or the prompt that inspired the story, that just demands a certain title.

As for the one I'm most proud of? Monstrare, Monere perhaps. A Warehouse 13 oneshot. The actual fic itself I am a bit meh about after all this time, but the title and summary I am like "I wrote that?" I also really like and the Sins of Atlantis. Totally self-indulgent ridiculous fic which I enjoy more than I should. It uses the same episode title structure as the Librarians show (I did that for all my prompt month fics that year, which I loved). I particularly like this one though as I feel like there's so many layers to it. Sins - so evocative, so many questions. Atlantis - how? why? I don't know. It was fun.

28) Any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing? Ooooh boy ok. The answer is both lots, and nothing, because writing is very individual. I can advise based on what works for me but it's so much a YMMV situation. I always feel like any writing advice needs to be prefaced with this.

So I don't write an essay (and I probably will anyway) but I will stick with just one point so it's not thousands of words. It's actually something I read once and no it isn't the classic "I can fix a bad page not a blank page" (which is also good advice btw). It's actually a point I super hated for a long time and that is probably why I have forgotten where I read it, so I apologise for the lack of attribution. The quote was something like - "Write what you want to have written, not what you want to write." Now that's crazy talk right? Well yeah, and I hated it, but I see the wisdom in it now.

Now a personal anecdote to illustrate the point. Writing fanfic brought me joy. I loved the plots coming together, how I could sneak in references. I don't know if this is egotistical to admit but I still re-read my old fic sometimes - I was my own intended audience - and I love it. However, I have original novel ideas. I have a dream of publishing. It's a future that I would like to build. Possibly just a fantasy but it's a dream that I've held for decades and it scares the hell out of me. Writing novels is hard. It's facing the fear of never being good enough every day, and making myself do the work anyway. Writing fanfic is so much easier and (for me) it became a way to self-sabotage.

Now I owe fanfic a tremendous debt because it has broken through writers block, it has given me soooooo many ideas that I have mutated into something else entirely. Don't ever think I don't respect fanfic but I'm chronically ill and I only have a limited amount of spoons. I have written novel-length fanfic and pouring weeks/months into a fanfic, was weeks/months I wasn't spending on my original work and I hated myself for that. I was writing something that I really wanted to write but even in the middle of the process I was sometimes like "what am I doing???" and questioning my life choices. I love my fanfic ideas and I get so nostalgic sometimes for the ones on my list that I never got round to writing.

Fanfic was something I desperately wanted to write, but it was not what I wished to have written. It brought me short-term joy for long-term anguish if you like.

So my point - my writing advice - is essentially a riff off "life is short". Be damn sure before you invest so much of yourself creatively in a story (whatever that story might be), that you won't get hit by regret later. It's so easy with fandom events: exchanges, bingos, prompt months etc. to get bursts of inspiration and giddy FOMO, only to get months down the road and wish you hadn't happened that earlier WIP.

We all have a story to tell right? So don't write what you think will get you kudos/comments. Write what is in your heart to write. Not some surface level impulse, but what you will be proud to have committed to a year down the road.

I can't bring myself to regret any of my fanfics. Hell as I said I enjoy reading them. But I had to stop so my energy could be focused in a direction that brought my longer-term peace, rather than short-term joy.

Fandom can be a fickle place, and also playing in someone else's sandbox can turn to ash. When a show has gone in a direction I can't follow, or when there's drama in the fandom, it has stolen my joy. I suppose what I'm really get is with writing, it's a creative journey, it's pouring so much of your soul into something. Protect your mental health. Invest yourself wisely.

Mitzi May - September 25th 1885

A musician who falls in love with Atlas and ends up helping out with the café and speakeasy. Overall friendly and playful, but isn't afraid to say it how it is.

Atlas May - January 3rd 1884

The owner of The Little Daisy Café and the Lackadaisy speakeasy. Known as an opportunist that is slowly collecting a menagerie of misfits. Known to be quite interested in the human nature and often pries into the psychology of those around him.

Rocky Rickaby - December 19th 1904

A rather rambunctious member of the crew who ends up asked by Atlas to look after Silver. Atlas, however, wonders what fate he has designated Silver to, seeing as Rocky is not entirely there.

Serafine Savoy - 1902

Mordecai's coworker at The Marigold, along with her brother, Nico. She had a short fling with Mordecai that ended up being a more permanent arrangement. Confident, spiritual, and appears to know more than she lets on at times.

Wick Sable - January 11th 1895

The man Mitzi has an interest in after Atlas' death. Has a fascination with rocks and is considered a pillar of the community, stopping him from financially supporting the Lackadaisy despite frequenting the speakeasy.

When fleeing from New York, Mordecai is nearly killed for embezzling funds from the gambling rink he used to work for. Given a gun by Atlas, he is forced to kill the gamblers to save himself, marking his first kill.

Mordecai stays with Atlas in Washington as he recovers. Atlas observes him in the meantime, while Mordecai begins suffering from lucid dreams.

Atlas encourages Mordecai to travel with him back to St. Louis, stopping at many cities along the way in the process. Mordecai notices Atlas often gets caught up in opportunities when he spots them.

1917

Prohibition is proposed in the Senate.

Atlas offers Mordecai a job as his bookkeeper, and tells Mordecai to think about it. Mordecai is extremely reluctant considering what he's seen from Atlas so far, though feels he is destined for this life.

Atlas begins training Mordecai in some of his ways.

Mordecai continues helping Atlas in his various travels, but is still yet to accept the job in all this time.

1918

Silver, reluctantly, is married to Valentin.

With a fair amount of money now, thanks to Atlas, Mordecai parts ways with Atlas to deal with some "unfinished business".

Atlas meets Viktor during this separation.

Mordecai returns briefly to New York for revenge. Receives bullet related head injury in the process.

Mordecai is taken back to the Little Daisy to recover.

1919

Prohibition is ratified.

Atlas can see Mordecai is cracking and coming to a decision, so he asks him that fateful question; "who are you?"

Mordecai accepts Atlas' offer for a job at the very end of the year. Atlas is thrilled, though curious what made him accept then.

1920

Atlas converts the limestone caverns under his café into a speakeasy.

Atlas hires Viktor and stops him from making a drastic decision.

I read your reply to some of the drama and I too try hard to stay out of it. I'm sending this anonymously for several reasons.

I too have a fairly large blog and have had several relationships while here on Tumblr. Some long distance, some irl. Some from Tumblr and some were not.

I list my status as Taken and have for years. Nothing more nothing less. The reason for that is in the past I've listed three total persons as being in a relationship with me on Tumblr. All three of those also had Tumblr blogs. We would post on each other's walls, reblog things, etc. ALL three of those people received anonymous hate messages ranging from "you aren't good enough for him, he deserves better" to "just disappear from Tumblr, you're not even attractive, he doesn't even want you really, he just tells you that because he's bored" etc etc etc. The amount of hatred and jealousy spewed simply because that person was attached to me made me feel very guilty and there was little I could do to control it. It caused problems with us because it effected their mental and emotional well being. I'm still very good friends with two of the three and they still think about the negativity around it. One left Tumblr for good because of it, one also quit tagging her partners because of it, and one questioned a lot of things about our privacy because of it and didn't feel safe to continue much farther or deeper, and I understood all three of their decisions.

This isn't really an ask as much as it is a confirmation. That yes it can and does happen and it would surprise you just how nasty it can get.

Thank you for always being a voice of education, a voice of responsibility, and a voice of reason. I've followed you for six or seven years and I think you are one of the best voices out there for everyone.

I’d feel differently about someone asking me to keep a relationship secret from the people I’m close to, but Tumblr is different. 9. when you look at a new blog, what is it that makes you press the follow button? is it the muse, the aesthetics, the writing–?

is it the aesthetics ? HAHAHAHAHAHA. no. it's not the aesthetics. i love aesthetics, they're so fun to augment relationships and worlds that you're building but they are not enough to get me to follow someone ... if anything, if i see too much of it and not what this hobby centers around (ya know ... writing)? it's a reason for me NOT to follow. generally i follow for MUSES i can see having an interesting relationship with mj (hi all you peter parker writers you're doing amazing sweeties), but only if the mun of said muse has a writing style that i can see being COMPATIBLE with my own because ... shockingly, i don't follow just to follow. i follow with the hopes of maybe WRITING together, so if i don't see the styles/approaches/content choices align then it isn't a good fit and i don't want to give anyone (including myself) false HOPE.

13. what themes/motifs do you hope other people notice most about your character?

oh gosh, what a question. and honestly one that i could write a college dissertation on and still feel like i left pieces out. but i guess, to simplify it all and succinctly answer? i hope people see FIVE key traits in my mj: - she's PASSIONATE. about her job, about her loved ones, about her community and the larger sense of justice in the world. mj only has one setting and it's full on, committed entirely to the people and things she deems worth her energy - she's LOVING. there is quite literally nothing she wouldn't do for the people she loves most, including put herself at terrible risk. she has and will keep the walls from caving in on peter's personal life when he needs to focus on spider-man. she's kept his secret safe, kept him fed and warm, even offered to single handedly keep the roof over his head when he lost his job when we all know it would've wiped her out financially and emotionally, working for JJ. - she's INTELLIGENT. maybe she's not a genius level intellect like some of the people in her life, but she's able to put puzzle pieces together quickly and distill a lot of complicated things down to their simplest elements so that a broader audience can understand. she's always helping peter and miles see things from a new perspective, which has proven to be the difference maker time and time again. - she's CAPABLE. doubt her at your own peril because this girlie can hold her own in this world of superheroes and their augmented foes. she can shoot (a taser but still), she can physically defend herself, and she's very good at being stealthy (lol dudebros who hate her missions eff y'all). in fact the one way to make sure you end up on her shit list? is by implying that she can't do any of the above. - she's FUCKING FUNNY. mj is incredibly sarcastic and uses her quick wit to make poignant (but usually loving) jokes at others' expenses to help break the tension or change the subject. it's part of how she says she loves you, since it takes knowing an incredible amount of details about her victim subject in order to make the sort of jokes that she does. it's no wonder she's the love of the famous master of quips's life, since peter can absolutely appreciate what it takes to be as funny as she is.

Premise- A bigger spaceship for Hat Adult and Lady Bow.

Rooms

* Main Foyer

The biggest room and the main entertainment space. Access to all rooms including upper levels can be found here. TV monitors and high-tech control panels for the ship can be found here, as well as couches, a table, gaming consoles, and a miniature house for Rumbi. Large glass windows on the sky and walls are in this room, which serves as the biggest in the ship. The Foyer also has many relics on display for all to view, although they are quite silly.

*Kitchen/Dining area

The Dining area houses an array of both fancy and somewhat wacky decor large forks and spoons are displayed like statues and are dressed to the nines along the sides of the room. A large cat clock stands above the kitchen and chimes every five hours unless the ship is in sleep mode. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling and windows to space line the walls and are decorated with red drapery. Few paintings are also seen for different planetary locations, and in the center lies a small mahogany table.

The kitchen is a mess. Dishes line the sink and baking powder can be seen in a couple of places. The trash also needs to be taken out. Lists decorate the refrigerator along with art done by Timmy, who placed it there himself. However, the food in the fridge is exquisite. Meats and cheeses hang from the ceiling, nothing is contaminated, and though exotic and scary, the food is quite delicious and has the correct amount of sweetness or spice in it.

*The machine room

The machine room has machinery in it. Anything that isn't a gear or tool has been removed for explosion safety reasons. Blueprints are stored here though as this room doubles as a mechanical workshop. Two yellow birds somehow managed to waltz their way in and make a family in the room, but they don't mess anything up, so it's ok with Hat and Bow. They help with carrying parts to higher places. The birds are alien as they can make disturbing unnatural noises and can lift car batteries despite being as big as a human hand.

*The Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms, one for each alien. Hat has a star on her door and Bow has a moon.

Hat's bedroom is full of strewn books on astronomy, astrophysics, language books, time philosophy, and murder mysteries. They have a closet that they have a science skeleton in. His name is Jeffery and he wears a pretty dress. The room isn't too bright, and it is mostly luminous decals and a lamp lighting the room. Hat still has the pillow pile, which can be used as a doorway to Bow's room and Hat's secret study.

Hat's secret study is in the same location, however, it has expanded to a pillow for builder's dream. There is a TV, more books, some art, a diary, a timepiece lamp, nerd magazines, and plushies.

Bow's room is much more vibrant and bright. There is a big ceiling lamp, fairy lights, lots of loud and colorful posters, soft plushies, and a pillow pile. Bow's secret study can also be accessed through her pillow pile and leads to a much more tranquil space. There are a lot more plants and mini water fountains here, along with the occasional cat plush and valuable condition manga connections. Bow also has some piece lamp. The timepiece lamps follow the same motifs of star and moon for the respective girls.

*The engine room

The engine room is a bit different than before. It contains more machinery than in the game, which is much more neatly mapped out to cover all areas of the ship with equal amounts of power. This is to avoid another incident like doors not being able no be opened because of a missing timepiece issue. The engines use the timepiece power extracted from the ship's core. The engine room also powers the ship's cannons, transporters, and produces wifi on the ship.

*The Attic

The attic is the storage space. There is a bunch of cryptic stuff in here, from childhood drawings to Moleman lore, photo albums, haunted paintings, R.K.'s hidden kingdom, and old badges/clothes that don't exactly fit anymore. The attic looks relatively the same, just another round window on top of the stained glass one. There is also a couple of musical instruments here, in good condition too.

*The Mail Room

The mailroom is the same, just more organized. There is the help of an alien animal here too, they look like a cross between a puppy, bunny, and cat. Their name is Monoliath, destroyer of a thousand suns, or Mooni for short. They are white and have a little umbrella. This room also has a transport for the girls to bean down to the planet. A signal from this transmitter can be activated via a watch (inspo from doodle-draws-things) to beam them back up. There is a letter that, because written in a weird language, can not be translated and has been put to the side for several years. It has a red cross-like wax sealing...

*The Gallery/Library/Music Room

The gallery has been expanded into a vast library with relics, music, and more books. A good chunk of the paintings here are silly. Mooni often comes here as well. A miniature theater has been constructed in a room connected to the gallery.

*The Lab

This is where all the experiments are tested. A vast array of chemicals, elements, plant life, organs, and time energy can be found here. The technology keeps everything in the toon stable by forming a protective twilight barrier aground it, preventing anything from getting out and destroying the ship. Large test tubes are here to contain things that usually aren't living creatures. Just more storage room and food that couldn't fit in the kitchen fridge. And of course ice cream.

*The Laundry room

The laundry room now has a bathroom. Both rooms are clean, don't worry. Soap bubbles are usually seen floating in the air and the theme of the room has a very tropical vibe.

*The Basement/Gamer/Party Room

The basement storage room has turned into an arcade, complete with modern and classic games, claw machines, bowling, a disco and karaoke setup, a streaming section, vending machines, and a food stand. The Nyakuza Metro cash pile is still here.

*The observatory

An observatory with a map of the whole Milky Way galaxy, with a sticky note added for earth since it wasn't stationed on any reference map. The note pictures planet and text that says "Earth :)" There is flora around the edges of the observatory and rotating machinery that serves no purpose other than to loom like a cool clock. This room is the highest in the ship

*The Safe Room(core)

This room is in the center of the ship. It stores a host of valuable items along with timepieces to precious and important to display. A bright sun-like core is contained in strong glass and has wires connecting it to the engine room, which in turn, powers the whole ship.

What else?

There is are two escape pods that connect to the main control center with the fastest wifi in the galaxy and plenty of food. They look like minivans if they were square. The ship exterior is made of space-resistant wood. You must have a password to access the control panel and an additional three passwords to access the safe room. The ship has exterior weaponry, to mainly shoot at asteroids, but also for self-defense. The Nova Model ship has more security than the original, and any intruder is scanned for threat levels. If it is a dangerous intruder, Hat and Bow are immediately notified and the ship fires lasers on sight. If it is not a threat, they are allowed to stay. Most Earthlings are not considered threats.

Top 10 Anime (That I've Seen) in 2020

Well now, it has certainly been awhile. I'm currently sitting at eight months too late for posting this, but, y'know, something something life happens. More accurately, I already made this list, but wanted to try out what response I'd get from Reddit. Turns out, they're not as cool as you guys!

Anyways, as the title states, this is not a list of my favorite anime that came out during 2020, but instead my favorite anime that I just so happen to see during that year. While it's fun to have an end of the year retrospective, I find that having a list in this format not only adds variety, but also helps bring attention to anime that might have been lost in the shuffle in previous years (I also don't have enough time to stay caught up in seasonal releases).

10. Maid-Sama (2010)

In hindsight, I find it a bit funny that I wanted to watch something wholesome to kick off 2020. Anyway, Maid-Sama is about a high school girl that is also a no nonsense Class President and she kind of has to be at a school where, until recently, was an all boys school. While she kills it in academics and is good at shutting down any shenanigans from the male student body, her financial situation isn't the greatest and has to balance a job at a maid cafe along with her school-related responsibilities. She does her best to hide her employment there to keep up appearances, but is one day found out by one of the boys who happens to be a big flirt and, yeah, hijinks ensue. While this anime doesn't have too many surprises, our main leads bounce off each other well enough to keep me entertained. Nothing I haven't seen already in other anime Rom-Coms, but I think it has more than earned its place at the start of this list.

9. Haganai NEXT (2013)

It's a personal rule of mine when making these lists that I don't include sequels of shows that were in previous lists. While I DID see the first season of Haganai a couple of years ago, it didn't quite make it into the top ten at that time. Because of that, it meets the criteria for this year's list. While I found the characters were just as charming here as I did during the first season, the development of their relationships really took off. It's a shame that it will most likely not get a third season, but I'm happy with what ride this show gave me. But hey! At least I can read the light novels/manga to continue the story! Wait, nevermind, the Haganai fans on Reddit are saying that's a bad idea.

8. Engaged to the Unidentified (2014)

Based off of a Four Panel joke manga, Engaged to the Unidentified tells the story of a girl in high school suddenly getting some life changing news. As it turns out, her grandfather made an arranged engagement with her and the son of a family he knew. Next thing she knows, the boy in question, as well as his little sister, moves into her family's house! While the boy is unassuming at first, there may be more to him and his family than he lets on. Plain and simple, this anime has charmed me. There's a decent amount of drama and mystery despite the source material and I applaud it! Even though this also doesn't have much new to offer, even to the point where I would compare this to Maid-Sama, what made me pick this at the 8th spot were the color choices and animation quality. Give this a shot if you can!

7. Grimoire of Zero (2017)

It's a fantasy/adventure story starring a loli sorcerer and a huge, anthropomorphic white tiger man. I honestly can't say anything else. I won't be able to do it justice. That first sentence should intrigue you a lease a little bit. Read it, again. Please check it out. It's an underrated gem that no one is talking about.

6. ID: Invaded (2020)

Hey, here's something recent! Unfortunately, this is also not something I can say much about. There may not be too many deep characters and the secret bad guy isn't hard to figure out, but BOY is this anime cool! The best way to describe this series is that it's like the movie Inception, but instead of brain heists, it's brain murder mysteries.

5. Carole and Tuesday (2019)

A runaway rich girl has a fated meeting with an orphan and they decide to make music together...oh, this also takes place Mars. Joking aside, this show was something special with its music (a new song almost every episode no less), interesting setting (freaking Mars, dude), and endearing main cast. Shoot, the music itself would be top 3, maybe number 1, but what bogs it down is the show's second half. I can easily see myself watching this again someday, and maybe my opinion will lighten up, but for now, 5 is a dang good spot.

4. Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front - Babylonia (2019)

Part of me hesitates placing this high up on list due to this show being animated, fan service spectacle for Fate fans. However, that hesitation is overshadowed by the fact that I am a Fate fan myself and I can do whatever I want with this list. Even if you're not a Fate fan or play FGO, if you enjoy some solid fight animation, this is worth a look.

3. K-On S1 (2009)

I'll admit it, I might regret not watching the second season then putting the series on the list as a whole, but this how I've been doing these lists and I'm such a creature of habit. There's not much I can say about K-On that hasn't already been said. By itself it's an anime classic and one of Kyo-ani's biggest properties. It's a sweet and wholesome watch, but be sure to have some insulin within reach.

2. Princess Principal (2017)

Imagine you're working with a team of programmers trying to make a mobile game then all of a sudden someone asks to make a show out of it. You know, a show with different character motivations, plot, twist and turns and all that? Most might say that's just a shameless, shallow cash grab, but it turns out okay for Princess Principal. Sure, most might summarize this anime as, "cute girls doing espionage things," but with its cast, visuals, and interesting alternative timeline, it works! Apparently there's a new season or movie in the works and I am all for it!

1. Beastars (2019)

I was not expecting this to be number one, but with much deliberation (with myself obviously) this feels right. It tells a pretty unique story while showing itself to be the exception to the rule when it comes to 3D anime.....it being that it's actually good. While I acknowledge that shows like K-On are classics and deserves to be number one on many different lists, it didn't line up with my personal criteria like Beastars did. My biggest deciding factor is: Now that I've watched this, do I want more? It's true that while I'm excited to start K-On S2, Beastars intrigues me more and ever since season two was announced, I'm looking forward to that more.

Sorry again for this list being so late, but at least the silver lining is that the next end of the year list is about four months away (in theory)!

Popular idol group who made their debut on November, 2021, Naniwa Danshi. The 3 members Nishihata Daigo, Takahashi Kyohei and Ohashi Kazuya showed us a fresh appearance with the flowers of their respective member colors.

Ohashi: The gap between our sparkly self when we are singing and dancing and our Naniwa-ness when we are talking, that's our strength. All of the members have their own individuality but, by such us gathering together we make up one big thing.

Nishihata: I agree with our leader Ohashi-san! Because within us whatever our leader says is the absolute.

Takahashi: My personal strength is my uniqueness. I want to be Naniwa Danshi's secret weapon.

Nishihata: Don't go award casually saying things like "secret weapon" by yourself, please? (laughs)

Takahashi: What kind of person am I?

Nishihata: It looks like I can hold you but I can't, you're someone whom I quite don't understand.

Takahashi: Since Daigo-san is a tsundere, he talks in a roundabout manner, but in short, he's saying that I'm a secret weapon.

Ohashi: Anyways, ESSE lists a variety of recipes, right? I really like to cook. Whenever I have to stay in Tokyo for a long time, I always bring my kitchen knife and cutting board with me. If you ask me then I can make anything, even pasta or roast beef. I even made them for the members, right?

Takahashi: One time when I was playing games together with Ohashi-kun, he fried frozen fried chicken for me. Daigo-kun made pork kimchi, right?

Nishihata: For some reason it's popular amongst the members. The trick is to make it slightly sweet by adding sugar and egg.

Takahashi: I like mochi! I toast about 10 at once then I either coat it with roasted soybean powered, or make roll with soy sauce and seaweed

Nishihata: It's nice to make a bit sweet by adding a little amount of sugar to the soy sauce, isn't it?

Nishihata: From now on our work in Tokyo is going to increase but, personally, someday I want to co-stars together with Kazama Shunsuke - kun in an acting job.

Takahashi: The one I want to co-star with is, SixTONES' Tanaka Juri-kun or Jesse-kun. Since they are a group with a different vibe than that of Naniwa Danshi, that's why a good chemical reaction is more likely to happen.

Ohashi: As for me it's someone with whom we were together all this time in Kansai, Snow Man's Mukai Koji. Even now whenever we see each other's shows we send texts saying “It was great”.

Nishihata: Anyways, we want our debut's first year to be a year that we will run through riding on a super express train.

Takahashi: Firstly, I want to give away the aura to everyone that makes everyone think “They really did debut”. The same goes for the readers as well, while they're engaged in their domestic chores, I want everyone to play our “Ubu LOVE” in the background and lip sync to it.

Ohashi: I believe that thinking about the daily menu is a really tiring thing to do, that's why, during tiring times, I want everyone to listen to our music and smile.

Nishihata: Housewives are not women only, there are men too. It'll make me happy if we get to become an existence which makes housewives and househusbands, as well as people who are working hard for their families think “I am glad that I have my best today”.

Summary: You've been working as a merchant on Nevarro for years now, only out of necessity. Life really wasn't going your way. At least until the Mandalorian came by your booth. Now he's all you think about, and soon he'll be even more.

Warnings: Probably some swearing (real and in universe), violence (eventually), smut (eventually), No use of Y/N, slowburn/fluff (for the first little while)

Notes: Takes place at the end of season 1, and will mostly take place between season one and two. I have been sitting on this for a while due to some fear about reception by the fandom, but honestly I just need to stop thinking about it so here we go. She's going out into the world, and I hope you enjoy. (Also I wrote this prologue like 2 months ago so it isn't quite where I'd like it to be but if you read this please just stick with me, I swear my writing gets better lol)

You don’t know how long it’s been since you last saw him. Weeks? Months? But you can’t get that damn tin can out of your head.

You really have no reason to be this hung up on him. He’s barely spoken to you, you’ve never even seen his face, so it should be easy enough to move on from whatever childish infatuation you have over him. Right? Maker, what kind of person crushes on a mask and a suit of armour?

But there’s something about him, something that keeps him planted in your subconscious. You’ve tried to find the words to explain it, but nothing ever comes close. You can't even begin to understand how this man has completely overtaken your every waking thought.

He used to come by every couple of weeks, and you’d savour every delectable minute of the interaction, but that was all before shit hit the fan of course. You weren't there to see it but when you came back to work the next day it was all anyone could talk about.

“Apparently the metal man broke some Guild rule, and practically all of the other bounty hunters tried to kill him for it.” You heard over your shoulder. As much as you liked to keep to yourself, you couldn’t help form eavesdropping on a conversation between merchants. You did have a guilty pleasure for drama, probably to fill the uneventful void that your mundane life had now become.

“The Mandalorian? He broke their code then!” one exclaimed.

“I heard he went back for a bounty,” someone else whispered.

“What could make someone do something so stupid?” questioned a merchant lady you already didn’t particularly like.

“He doesn’t strike me as stupid,” you interrupt, trying to stick up for the man you were currently enamoured with. “If he did it, there must be a valid reason.”

“If he did it?” She sneered. “Do you not see the damage he left behind? People will be out of business for sure. It’ll take weeks to clean up the mess he made.”

“Then I guess I hope it was worth it. That it wasn't in vain.” You state, putting an end to the conversation. You hoped the man – that you already liked against your better judgement – wouldn’t cause so much harm without some justification.

In the wake of his rebellion, a covert of other masked hunters revealed themselves, shot up the town, and then vanished without a word. And so did your Mandalorian.

Woah hold on. Not yours. Just one random Mandalorian that you’ve said a handful of words to and have harboured a secret crush over.

From the second you saw him you pretty much knew you were screwed. Between the husky modulated voice, and the broad as hell shoulders, there was pretty much no way to quell the instant attraction that rose up in you. His presence alone was suffocating. Nothing could stop the way your vocal cords tightened to the point of forcing out a soft squeal at his sight. The whole time he talked to you, you could feel his visor latch onto your body – pinning you to the spot.

You thought you might find some relief when he left. Quite the opposite. You couldn't help but gawk at the way his body moved, like he knew he was hot shit. He took your damn breath away. And you were glad to know that he couldn't see your lips part to let out a soft moan, or the way they pursed back together as you unconsciously swallowed the suddenly copious amount of saliva pooling in your mouth. Fucking delicious, you thought, shamelessly.

Maybe it was the fact that you knew he could take anyone down in milliseconds. He was untouchable, and this latest defiance proved that. No one crossed the Guild. Well, no one crossed the Guild and got away with it. But if anyone could, it would be Mando.

And there’s another thing. You don’t even know his name. Which means that you’re forced to call him the colloquial slang that is commonly used by outsiders of the Mandalorian culture. “Mando”. You couldn’t help but think about how it almost sounded like an insult, especially when slurred from the mouth of other criminals. You hated the way people spat the word out at him, obviously trying to get him worked up; to see what he was made of. It made you desperately wish that you had a better name to call him, his real name. An intimate piece of knowledge that you could hold on to, something of him that no one else had.

Maybe that made you selfish. Even so, there was so much you wished you knew about him. He was a complete mystery.

To be fair, he probably didn’t even know your own name. You can't recall him asking for it, or if you ever introduced yourself. You were pretty much a bumbling mess the first time you met him. To the point where even if you had tried to say your name it probably would have sounded like you were speaking Huttese. Although, who could blame you. It wasn’t very conventional to introduce yourself to every customer. The people on Nevarro usually kept to themselves, especially the bounty hunters. There wasn’t much room for ‘customer service’. But damn you wish you had tried to make some sort of introduction. Even if it had come out as incoherent nonsense, you think it may have made talking to him later a bit easier.

However, none of that matters if he never comes back, and you bet he won’t. He’s smarter than that. To pull what he did, he’s probably on the other side of the galaxy right now.

Even so, you’ll miss the shared awkward silences and stolen glances that came with each of his visits. Whenever he’d come into the shop, he’d list off what he needed to stock up on, using the most deep and captivating voice you think you’d ever heard. If he hadn’t had that helmet covering his face, you’d swear he stared right into your soul as he did so. It almost made you weak in the knees every damn time. You’d then rummage through each supply crate and gather the best quality of every item, and finally – just to bring your humiliation to an all-time high – you’d give him a discount for absolutely no discernible reason. He took notice of the reduced price the first time and thanked you, only for you to be berated by your boss once he left. Eventually, to your dismay, the niceties came to a halt. Maybe he forgot what full price was, maybe he just couldn’t care less.

Either way, it looks like you’d risked your job for the last time. It’s a shame. For a planet full of bounty hunters and hardened criminals, there’s actually not a lot to entertain you. A shootout here, an escaped bounty there, but nothing that satisfied your desire for an exciting lifestyle.

The closest you got to that would be each time some wide-eyed, eager, wannabe-bounty-hunter strolled through town looking for a chance to weasel their way up the ladder of the Guild. They definitely thought they were more important than they actually were, and they always made a point of showing off for you. Not that you were anything special, just the closest thing with cleavage usually. They’d probably brag about their rank and their kill counts, things you could not care less about. A few of them actually had the balls to ask you out, but it usually only ended in a free meal or drink. To be fair though that was very intentional on your part. It was fun to play the part of a flirtatious girl from the market for a while, and almost exciting to think about how you were completely screwing over those assholes.

Over the time you’ve spent alone in the galaxy you learned exactly how to read those kinds of people. You knew just how far to go, just what to say or do until you got what you needed. As much as you weren’t a fan of physical affection, you often brushed your target's arm or thigh, played with their hair, or if the situation really demanded it – madeout with them behind the cantina. But you always made a point of stopping before things got too far. You may not be a complete saint, but you knew none of the scumbags you met were worth your time.

You wouldn’t have allowed things to go any further. Not with them. Going any further could only be a letdown, and you were fine to take those matters into your own hands…. literally. You may be a complete flirt, but only as a skill to survive in this grimy and dangerous galaxy. You learned early on that being young and female was a vulnerability. That was at least until you discovered how that vulnerability could be shaped into one of your most valuable strengths.

When you think about him though… well something about him made your entire badass facade disappear into thin air. You lost any cool you had the minute he walked past your vendor. Not to mention that there was something else about him that told you he’d see right through it anyway. Maybe it was the visor. Some special setting to read the level of bullshit.

As far as you’ve seen, he doesn’t take anyone’s shit. He definitely isn’t the type to make others feel comfortable in a conversation. He says precisely what he needs to get his point across, nothing more. Never once had you heard him use more than 10 words at a time.

On a few occasions you were lucky enough to end up in the cantina at the same time as him. Whether you were on a break or entertaining some dead-beat for free lunch, you remember how fast your heart would beat when the glint of his helmet met your vision. You wondered if he noticed your presence, or if he even recognized you away from your vendor at the market.

One time you were in the next booth over. Your spine straightened, and your whole body shivered when he slid into his seat and placed himself directly behind you. The proximity was electrifying. It made every neuron in your body fire rapidly and your blood vessels pump impossibly fast. You were probably supposed to be listening to the slimeball buying your drinks drone on about how impressive his last capture was, but the baritone emanating from behind ensnared every ounce of focus you had.

“I’ll take the highest pay” he muttered through the modulator.

“I do have other hunters, Mando. I can’t always guarantee you get the best of the lot.” replied his employer. A smile maintained on his face even when confronting an unforgiving barricade.

“I’m sure you do. But high price means high risk.” Mando responded. His employer’s confused silence forced him to continue. “Those skilled enough to take on the bounties know better than to do so.”

The Guild leaders' laughter bounced off the walls making many patrons turned their heads, while others continued their business, obviously being used to this behaviour.

You were left puzzled in that moment, completely baffled by this interaction. It wasn't until much later that night when it finally clicked. Although you didn’t know exactly how ranking in the Guild worked, you knew Mando was up there. He had the status to strike fear into almost every other bounty hunter he outranked. Mando had staked his claim long ago, and no one in the Guild was stupid enough to try and take a bounty from him. If he wanted something, he was going to get it.

You’d remember that interaction vividly. Not only because of how close you were to the Mandalorian as you overheard it, but also in service as a reminder to you, proving just how dominant he was in this world. He held power over every member of the Guild, including its leader, whether he wanted to admit it or not. You felt idiotic for not instantly understanding the control he wielded wherever he went. Sometimes it's a wonder how completely oblivious you could be.

Although you certainly were not oblivious to the drastic upgrade he got just before leaving. If you thought Mando was intimidating before, his new head to toe silver armour was sure to strike fear into any of his prey. You remember thinking you saw his reflection pass by earlier in the day, but he quickly dissolved into the shadows, as he often found a way of doing. However, later that night when you had just gotten off from work, he strolled back into the cantina for a new batch of bounties and all eyes were drawn to him. Most eyes were filled with jealousy since – as his employer made clear – he completed the job none of them could. They were probably even more enraged by the fact that he wore his reward back into the room, when most of them would have gladly taken that metal to the highest bidder and sold it for a hefty profit. However, you saw him differently than the rest. Your eyes were fixed on him in fear and in wonder. This metal man, already a force of nature, just became that much more impossible to defeat. As if anything could get to him before, it was clear now that no one could reach the Mandalorian.

But again – it doesn't matter. Not a single soul on Canto Bight would bet his shiny ass walks back into this sector. Not unless he has some kinda death wish…
