Honestly sometimes I wish I was a girl. I wish I was a hot girl with a wolf cut in sweatpants and a tube top or flowing curls in a pretty sundress or a cute pixie cut and overalls, I wish I could look at myself and not hate the way my tits show through my baggiest t-shirts, I wish I could belt the highest soprano notes and not feel a twinge of discomfort in my gut when someone tells me how beautiful my voice is, I wish she/her pronouns didn't feels so distant and foreign to me. But I tried that. I tried being cute and feminine, I tried curling my hair every morning to get it just right, I tried tight shirts and fun dresses and daily makeup and it just didn't work. I could never seem to do it right. No amount of feminizing myself gained me any respect cuz regardless of gender I was always going to be a cringe autistic freak so I might as well be a cringe autistic freak who presents as his actual gender.

I’m a bit sad that non-Spanish speakers will never understand the truly atrocious and hilarious things we consider as “shit posting” which are more like cursed images than anything else. Do they make sense? No. Do I snort with laughter ever time I see them? Absolutely.

on sukeyasu and gender .
just putting this out there because writing a nonbinary character within the confines of a time that doesn’t have much information on deviations from gender presentation and in alignment with that, deviation from gender roles and expectations given at birth, i think it appropriate.
sukeyasu was born of male sex, and is referred to as a the second young master of the inumaki clan, bearer of the inherited cursed speech technique. i write sukeyasu with they/them pronouns to further the point that they are what we would consider nonbinary. however — sukeyasu in their timeline is perceived by whatever means, whether that’s male or female. in japanese language it’s pretty common that once you know someone’s name, this is how you refer to them without much use for gendered terms. if someone doesn’t know a person’s name, it’s more than likely that in place of this they will use あの人(ano hito) or あの方 (ano kata) which translates to “that person”.
sukeyasu being referred to as they/them is personal in characterisation that they have a detachment to their own body, as they feel themselves to be no more than a vessel for power that was bestowed on them. this stems from the clan’s disapproval of involving themselves in society and their refusal to integrate for such a long time, viewing themselves as above it and in turn instilling these ideas into sukeyasu. sukeyasu is referred to in timeline as anything. any pronouns and perceptions are welcomed, but in writing i use they/them.
sukeyasu’s looks don’t come into it much but there is something to be said in the detachment from their physical body that the snake and fangs seal is somewhere so obvious, only furthering this detachment. sukeyasu is slim but lean in build and toned from years of harsh training, and wears their hair away from their face but trailing down their back. a stark contrast of whiteish grey strands to striking purple eyes.
