shortned version of "The Mandela Catalogue", an analogue horror webseries on YouTube made by Alex Kister :D it's great, would 100% reccomend if you like build-up horror and a great storyline
Nelson Mandela was in USA's terror watchlist until *2008. The guy who fought against apartheid state of South Africa, won a Nobel peace prize, became a president, a beloved character across the globe was in the terror watchlist of USA. So I wouldn't actually take murica's opinion about labeling a person or group of people as terrorists. Chances are they're actually fighting for the freedom of their country.
That's why they call Hamas terrorists instead of freedom fighters. In their eyes The Nelson Mandela was a terrorist.
Choose peace rather than confrontation. Except in cases where we cannot get, where we cannot proceed, where we cannot move forward. Then if the only alternative is violence, we will use violence.
gotta be honest and say it's insane to me that a bunch of people 'misremembered' nelson mandela dying in prison in the 80s even though he lived to become the president of south africa in the 90s and instead of thinking 'wow, i really should learn a bit more about international politics outside of north america and europe because not knowing such a basic fact like this about one of the most influential political figures of all time is kind of embarrassing', they became convinced that this was proof that parallel realities exist and they were having memories of an universe where mandela died in prison somehow. that's presumptuous on a level i can barely conceive of
the whole "angels in the bible don't look like that, they actually look like this" thing is beyond exhausted at this point, but i do think it's interesting to consider it from the perspective of an actual angel. imagine being told that this thing which makes your halo crackle and wings bristle from how wrong it is, is you. this twisted mockery, with its wings that don't sit quite right and move in such unnatural ways, and its halo which looks so dull and lifeless and hollow, its flat empty eyes with nothing behind them. the humans have a word for this feeling, "uncanny valley" - that which resembles what you know but which your senses just can't accept as anything but a false mimic, an intruder infiltrating your ranks, threatening to replace you without anyone even noticing your absence - but you have no such concept, only a nameless fear and inexplicable sense of dread.
Me when… me when… the identity is horror. Who are you? Can you be replicated? Is that replication you? If someone looks just like you, acts like you and is interpreted by others as you, are they you? Do your thoughts count for anything? If everything you actually think stays in your head and never comes out then you die do people grieve you? Do you respond to your name or to any name?
