Do you feel mesmerized by this lobed comb jelly? We shore do!
This vibrant jelly is actually quite skilled at blending in thanks to its transparent, gelatinous body. Thereโs still much to learn about this species but our jellies team were the first to uncover the lifecycle of these marvelous wonders.
From incredible findings like this to culturing jellies that have never been exhibited before, our jellies team has a remarkable story to share about their work and contribution to marine science.ย
You can help our jellies team tell their story by clicking here to vote for us to go to SXSW (South by Southwest)! Voting period ends August 18th!
so uhmmm I also drew this scene from the 2016 slime tutorial bc Alex Wyse voice scratches my brain so I'm in love w all his lines, specially this one (*ยดโฝ`)๏พ
speaking of empires characters joel reminded me of: i do still maintain that while i love ocean empire lizzie being a fish from the start in fics (because i love Creature worldbuilding). so many people still miss the absolute FUNNIEST parts of her character. which were:
she wasn't actually a fish from the start, she instead was just a lady who decided to build her kingdom on the ocean and then halfway through had a horrifying lovecraftian transformation into a fish lady because it turns out she was secretly an ocean goddess with amnesia the entire time
she then decided to sell the equivalent of tourist trap nessie tours about it.
a good climate is necessary for courtyards and outdoor spaces that are integrated into the home more generally. in canada we don't have that so instead we build little cabins close to bodies of water and write grotesque and horny poetry about being murdered by nature. and these are both fine options i'm not putting one above the other. i'm just saying that sometimes i look at something beautiful and i understand immediately that no one was thinking about bears waking up when they built that.
when will i stop seeing posts of the genre "ah! you were supposed to automate away the BAD jobs, not the FUN CREATIVE ones! why not simply just [solve like 8 incredibly hard open problems in robotics] instead of [LLM thing]!"
like. sorry i apparently have to be the one to break this to you but the amount humans enjoy a task has basically zero correlation with how difficult it is to automate
Don't forget! Any of my immense catalog of .pngs is available for moodboard use! All I ask is that you send me a link to what you made (if you want to)!
