After Doctor Brown created a blackout in his present, he decided to take a family vacation in the past. The choice of 1371 AD turned out to be a bad choice as he, his wife Clara, and their children ended up thrown in a dungeon. His only hope for him and his family was to defeat Lord Biffingham in a joust. (“A Family Vacation” Back to the Future, TV)

Its the little things that make you happy.
Alright, imagine this—everything you see, touch, or even think about is made up of these tiny little things called particles. But they’re not like the little balls you might picture in your head. They’re more like ripples—shifting patterns in a bigger ocean that we can’t even see.
Think of quarks as threads in a giant fabric. You can’t actually see them, but they’re there, weaving everything together. Without these threads, nothing would hold together. But a quark on its own? It’s like a single stitch in that fabric—hardly noticeable, but crucial to the whole thing.
Then there’s photons—particles of light. Imagine a messenger running around carrying important news. These messengers don’t weigh anything, but they carry energy. They move fast, zipping through space to deliver their message—just like light spreading across the room when you turn on the switch.
And gluons? Think of them like the invisible tape holding everything in place. You never see the tape, but if it were gone, the whole thing would fall apart. They’re what keep quarks together inside atoms.
Now, here’s the strange part: these particles don’t have a plan or a purpose. They’re like actors reading from a script they don’t understand—just following the rules, acting without knowing why. The rules of the universe are like a cosmic guidebook, and they just follow them perfectly, again and again. And somehow, by following those rules, they form atoms, then molecules, then living things—like us.
So, imagine all these tiny, unthinking ripples, threads, messengers, and tape coming together, and somehow—after millions of years—we end up here. We’re the result of all these forces, these actions, that had no reason to form us, yet here we are—thinking, feeling, living.
It’s like the universe slowly piecing itself together, step by step, until one day it could look in the mirror and say, "Oh, hey, that’s me!"
But here’s the big question—did this all happen so perfectly by accident, like a puzzle coming together without anyone ever planning it? Or, is there some bigger hand, some force of intent, guiding it all along the way?

"OUT ON THE disc golf course, Nye is yelling at a tree. “Don’t you know who I am?” he shouts at the distant oak his disc has just struck (transferring a small amount of heat into the trunk)." “Somehow—in this huge park—somehow, you’ll hit a tree,” he yells to no one as he lopes across the grass to find his disc. “There’s always a freaking tree in the way.”

Comic History of the United States by Bill Nye (The Best Of The West) Page Preview
Bill Nye The Science Guy has some nerve to mock history while taking science so seriously.
‘We don’t call you Bill Nye The History Guy for good reason pal.’
You know what I could almost forgive him for rewriting history but using comedy to rewrite history, ‘Get lost man.’
