After a weekend full of Christmas markets I'm quite delirious but I'll try to put the things I am working on in some kind of order.

Ok, the thing I’m doing exactly right now is a drawing of Violet, Misty, and Jackie when they were kids. I've just reached the part where Jackie dies and… so many FEELINGS. So I had to do this!

Here they are… probably I’ll post the finished version tomorrow.

On the artistic side I want to draw chibi Aurore, Aymeric and Jhonny at least. But for them I only have an image in my head so far… The gremlin in my head is also yelling: “What about Jackie, Misty, Viktor and Jago!?!? And your other two Vs (one is not even already made in game xD) ?!?What about them?!?” So… yeah, Ill be drawing them way into next year…

As I said in a previous post I’d like to write something about Hansen and V. So far I've only some crazy thoughts and things in a really colloquial form. This is the only part I’m comfortable showing. Oh, it's probably a bit… I don't know, there’s some psychological/physical torture? Nothing too extreme for now. Their relationship in my head is not romantic at all and it probably never will (but there's absolutely some tension). They are just two assholes who find it funny to mess with each other ❤️.

There are also probably some mistakes and some phrases and words I'll definitively need to change later. I haven't proofread it and I'm too tired to do it now!

A SHOW IDEA THAT I WANT TO MAKE REAL ONE DAY (really long post)

this is gonna be a HUGE little rant thing because i love talking about my ideas, future ideas, concepts. etc etc

i just realized i never said anything about this but uhh, for months ive been dreaming on wanting to make this string (I've always had in mind) come true

at first it was going to be a joke play with the huge inspiration of gumball. hes based on this joke episode i made called "Lil H". a baku inspired series (by sethical)

at the first point, he was literally gonna be called Lil h, LITERALLY. but I thought of a different name for him, and i named him "douglas dinget". it was a stupid name. the first image is the first concept idea i had for him if i actually wanted to take his design seriously . (its uhm... pretty old!). second image is the actual concept drawing when i thought of him having his own show (not a serious design take obviously LOL)

for 2nd image, he's just sonic but with a square cap hat, long gloves, basically a frickin recolor/edit LOL. it was funny when I imagined how he would look if I animated him and the background is just a realistic school. and then i thought of making his name "douglas tucker". i think him having that name is pretty cool and funny

his inspiration is a mixture of a chibi figure (like gumball) and his animations would be peanuts esque. like the way how he would walk, run, slip, etc etc. BASICALLY how peanuts characters are animated. i really loved imagining that as a test animation for this design, never really did it tho. im still learning animation

now this is where i suddenly had a new idea. i imagined "what if douglas had a girlfriend and she was a cactus? because cactuses and hedgehogs are spiky.." and this is where the design comes in

her name is KATHERINE STERLING!!!!! OMLLLL!!! (also a HALF redesign on Douglas)

this was the third character i thought of tho. second character is a "My melody" rip off LOL. (which she WILL be redesigned soon)

(unless if a team is formed for this show and someone knows how to put a 8 bit pixel character in a high resolution show, just like ocho)

okay now i want to show you the months that went by with DT's design, i just cant type any longer to show this i geniunely wanted to say all of that just so you can get on the path before i, PROBABLY, make this show a real thing

PERSONALITIES!!!

DOUGLAS: Douglas is normal about almost everything. it would be VERY rare to see douglas scared. he is extremely calm about stuff. he is tough. he doesnt take his rage out on anyone. even if some people would try to start a fight with him. he's a strong teen and he KNOWS he would knock someone out with one punch. its rare for him to get angry because he knows how strong he is. Lets just say hes kind of the opposite of gumball. Gumball can sometimes get scared when someone is raging at him (mostly people he knows who are STRONGER than him.) hes basically a wimp LOL. douglas is the opposite of that basically. douglas just does his own without meeting any new kid unless if they want to meet him (its best for him to wait if someone wants to be friends with him first)

KATHERINE: Katherine Is a very nice and polite person. but she can overreact sometimes and get mad at douglas if he says or does something that she doesnt like at all, especially if douglas makes a joke compliment to her. she basically hits douglas multiple times on the head. usually when she does that to her friends it hurts them but douglas barely feels anything when she does it to him LMAO

HADIZA: She trys to act tough like douglas despite the fact that douglas doesnt even try to act tough at all. she basically has the personality of gumball a little bit. she trys to stand up and be a more "scarier" person, trying to scare the big character. but when the big character makes a furious noise back at her, she would bunny hop away from them fast

CLAIRE: like i said earlier, "She could overreact a lot. she doesnt do stuff harmful or anything, like causing damage and other stuff like that. shes not THAT aggressive basically."

JACKSON: Jackson Is, to put it in short, a bit of a asshole. LMAO. basically jackson is always tired and can sometimes have aggresive tones. its very common for him. douglas has gotten use to his aggressiveness because theyve being friends ever since they were in kindergarten. Jackson has been getting tired of the world throughout the years.but luckily douglas and jackson are always staying communicated everyday. they never missed a single day not communicating. they are basically BEST best friends.

THE CLASSMATES & TEACHER (W.I.P.)

dont really have that much to say about the classmates. i got 5 more designs to create till the number of students is completed. i dont have that much to say about the teacher either. but i do know its gonna be REALLY HARD figuring out how to animate her. but i REALLY want this show to be good whenever the next episode comes out. i REALLY want these guys to be animated in the style i want them to be animated in

GUYS GUYS EVERYONE HEAR ME OUT-

I think these 2 panels are pretty underrated cuz they hold deeper meanings than we actually think

It might not be as deep and im just overthinking but let me explain myself

Well the first image obviously is Mikey licking the remainings of dorayaki off his face, while in the second image it's the dark impulse licking blood off his face.

I know it's probably not it, but it seems like the dark impulse is being fed by blood just like normal ppl are fed by food.

Or more specifically not blood...

but rather revenge.

To be more clear, try switching the text on the 2nd panel from "kazutora" to "the dark impulse". We'll get this text: "to make himself believe he wasn't the bad guy, the dark impulse decided you were his enemy" he says that while licking his own blood- or rather the dark impulse said that while licking Mikey's blood.

I don't know if anyone gets it but it looks more like foreshadowing about how the dark impulse's enemy is Mikey.

Alright alright... first, the dark impulse only appear when someone close to him dies (Baji, Draken...) and who does he attacks after ???? The one responsible ofc (and not actually the killer cuz Baji committed suicide and Draken was killed by some random dude) it's obvious the dark impulse only comes around when Mikey wants revenge for his loved ones.

But what does that have to do with anything??? Let me explain : you see the text summarizes what even is the dark impulse, it's nothing more than Mikey's brain naming his actions whenever he seeks revenge so he won't feel like the bad guy. Or simply put, Mikey is still Mikey when he avenged his close ones yet he created a version of himself in his brain and made himself the enemy without feeling like the bad guy.

Also really stupid remark, but i guess that's why it's called Tokyo REVENGEers.... no ??? No, okay...

And after some research, i think that Mikey have schizophrenia.

Not to be an extra but that's EXACTLY what Mikey and his dark impulse are.

Breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion and behaviour ?? Check.

Faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings ?? Check. (That's exactly what Manila Mikey timeline is all about)

Withdrawal from reality and personal relationships ?? Check. (Bonten Mikey)

A sense of mental fragmentation ?? Check. (All the fucking timelines)

Mikey's dark impulse defiently didn't start when Shinichiro died, he didn't go crazy trying to kill Kazu or Baji cuz he was just a kid and wasn't really that seeking for revenge, but in fact it began when he became a teen.

"Troubled relationships" ahem Sanzu ahem Bonten ahem legit pretty much his entire friend group excluding Draken and Mitsuya ahem

"poor schoold performance" that was introduced to us in a chibi revengers ep, and it seemed like some funny joke and all like 'oh would you look at that Mikey is so lazy and Draken is his babysitter hahaha' but boy i don't think it's a joke anymore...

"Reduced motivation" V E R Y. Like boy let's Draken carry him around in his back after he sleeps for the 20th time in a day from EATING. Jokes aside, it doesn't look like he feels like doing alot of stuff in the entire series, the "normal" Mikey doesn't even feel like walking and let's Draken carry him.

Alsoooo, another point that Mikey himself is the first one who mentioned the dark impulse to Takemitchy and in general,

another proof it's a delusion from his brain so everything will make sense to him, just like Kazutora but in a different way cuz Kazu blamed another person while Mikey blamed himself (kinda)

IN A NUTSHELL OF WHAT IM TRYNA SAY : There is no dark impulse but in fact Mikey putted the blame of whenever he avenges for his friends on a delusional non-existent split personality of him because of schizophrenia, and Mikey & the entire tokrev series's searched main enemy is Mikey himself. @ that one 326 panel with all of class A: is deku actually clean bc i saw someone say its an imagination thing

hmm well

at first i was like holy shit youre right! he does look like hes cleaner!! baby boy has finally taken a bath!

but then i got to thinking. i looked things up and checked stuff out. hes still in torn clothes. hes still slightly ragged. sure, compared to the last 30 chapters or so, deku FEELS a lot cleaner to us—yet, technically he hasnt actually changed all that much.

take a look at this panel.

see, we as viewers are more accustomed to THIS deku. our image when we think of how he looks now is this gritty version of him that looks like springtrap. the scary one who looks like he walked right out of the berserk manga. his stuffs all torn up and he looks very... chaotic. and i was like ok maybe thats just... hori's way of showing wear and tear? thats his art style so it's probably just a display of how muddy and gross deku is rn.

so i looked at previous panels where deku was severely fucked up. tried to see if there were any matches for this style of cross-hatching and drawing of torn cloth.

this was the next closest thing i could find.

i mean like. THIS is how deku looked after the first muscular fight. we all remember this scene. we all know how gruesome it was. the cross hatching and the torn-up frantic lines that emphasize his ripped shirt and mangled arm. and i was like okay. drawing deku like he did in the second picture was an intentional choice to make him look WAYY more fucked up and compare it to be like 10x worse than what happened with muscular in the first fight.

and its like... pretty bad the more you think about it. in the panel above, deku literally thought he was about to DIE and all of his arm bones were broken until doctors said they nearly had to cut them off? so i questioned it again.

in the latest chapters... deku could still move. thats a key difference. his injuries were bad, yes. he got shot by lady nagant several times, fought plenty of villains, even got mobbed by a fuck ton of civillians. but the difference between deku now and the deku from the first muscular fight, was that the old deku... he was drawn like that because he was so injured he couldnt even move.

and that got me thinking! what if the crusty way deku is drawn in recent chapters had nothing to do with his actual physical injuries?

okay, i know i should be taking these words with a grain of salt, but i legitimately think this is horikoshi throwing a quip at us because my working idea is that... the way deku is drawn doesnt just reflect his physical state, but is rather a manifestation of his emotions.

well no shit! i can hear you scream at your phone screens. that should be obvious! seeing as thats literally the oldest trick in the book. you draw characters in accordance to what they feel. it helps with story telling-- which is why during funny or cutesy moments, manga characters are often drawn as doodles or chibis.

but i think its more than that, seeing as even people in-universe AROUND deku can see that. its quite literally a transformation he goes through from holding his burden all by himself. the grime and tatters arent just a physical symbol but an emotional one too. and maybe im a little delusional and insane over here, but is it just me? or is it as chapters go on and deku gets closer to his friends he--

...gets closer and closer to looking normal.

Kanato's Birthday Mun Musing

Surprise!

I also did not plan well for Kanato's birthday~ I'm literally a whole day late! (insert angry Ayato for taking his day)

So, I decided that I would just muse about Kanato in general~ We will look at a few of my favorite officials and rave about how much I adore this character.

A note that this will purely be based on the limited bits I have been able to read of the games and the CGs themselves. I do not claim to be an expert - I just wanted to rant about how much I really like Kanato.

Everything will be below the cut, due to length and general themes throughout the post. Feel free to comment or send in your thoughts about the great purple monster.

-Diabolik Lovers ~Haunted Dark Bridal~

Two of my favorite CGs for this boy! (Clearly, I got recreations done for Yuuki!) I think that something I was really draw to with Kanato through the first game was his growing presence over the heroine. Despite him being the shota, he forces his will upon you - the least likely one to look dangerous (unless you see the crazy behind he eyes).

When I started this blog, Kanato wasn't really my favorite boy. Sure I adore a good shota - like high key they are like one of my weaknesses, I love them bratty and young (that sounds really bad - im not a creep!). Yet, when I was looking for a fit for Yuuki, who originally was a self insert, Kanato helped her grow into more than that. Through him, Yuuki was able to become her own character - apart from myself.

It's crazy how that ended up happening, similar to how Kanato takes over your life in the game. He's like this creepy little jerk face - who literally bullies you into falling for him.

Diabolik Lovers MORE,BLOOD

Second verse is the same as the first. More Blood gave us more of the overwhelming Kanato presence - but this time- with someone he hates. I adored - ADORED - the fact that Kanato cannot stand Azusa. I think that was such a great idea, considering how Azusa is - and it makes total sense that the - cant wait for pancakes guy - would be annoyed with the character that talks slowly.

I also adore how the ending and after stories are so tender. Kanato gets a new teddy and it's just the cutest bear (honestly surprised I didn't give that to Rini, but Bunny is life). I like to think this new Teddy still sits in Yuuki and Kanato's room even as adults. He just sits happily in a chair, Kanato still greeting him each morning.

Diabolik Lovers Vandead Carnival

The first game to give us some vampire fun - and the most holiest of CGs to grace the DL fandom (personal opinion) with the Sleeping Vampires. I. Cannot. With. Any. Of. Them. That was the most adorable idea they have ever come up with - to this day - and I just love all of them.

This game we got to see Kanato kind of mature up - I feel? Like every CG really has him in control. And not necessarily in a toxic way. Idk just something about his energy. Which is all completely off set by his adorable sleeping CG. OH MY GOSH~ If there was ever a weakness for me - it would be sleeping. I find that so cute and innocent and you can just see the pureness of a person based on their sleep.

There is also an adorable chibi winter CG and Kanato kills me! While everyone else is like interacting and being butts to one another - he and Teddy are just sloping in the back. It cracks me up.

Diabolik Lovers DARK FATE

Kanato is so sweet in this game - like relatively speaking. Anytime I get to see him defend the heroine I loose it. Whether he admits to it or not, it always warms my heart. We also get to see sweater wearing Kanato fight his dad - which is a funny image to me.

I loved the tenderness of his CGs this game. The ending ones were in direct references to the ones in More Blood, where Kanato held her. Now she is holding him. The look of security on his face! I love seeing him feel at ease.

That was kind of the theme I got from Dark Fate for him. He was able to be at peace - no matter the ending. Whether it's through being with you or being dead - the boy can rest easier.

Diabolik Lovers Lunatic Parade

More mindless vampire dates! I loved just being able to enjoy Kanato's company. Going on actual dates - even if that mean falling out of something. Again, seeing this softer side of Kanato is nice. I like that he wants to be around you as much as possible.

He wants to be there, and to be present. A lot of that is due to abandonment issues, but it is so cute to see. He genuinely looks happy, like he is enjoying himself, and that is what matters to me. I love the extra CGs as well. I did not think Kanato knew how to cook? Or maybe he doesn't he is just playing with the tongs. The pool one is precious - he looks like he wants to be splashed too.

Diabolik Lovers LOST EDEN

Kanato kind of feels like a ticking time bomb. Like, he had been so kind and gentle these past few games since the first. Then all of a sudden they were like - oh yea, he's crazy. You can kind of see it in Yui's and his face in most of the CGs, that it's just a matter of time before he snaps.

I have not seen or read anything really from Lost Eden, and these CGs really feel disconnected from one another. Nothing seems to flow or like they belong to the same game - other than the crazy look in Kanato's eyes. The crepe ending is super cute though - it's literally everything I ever want from an outing with Kanato.

Diabolik Lovers CHOAS LINAGE

Another one I don't know too much about - just that its an alternate story line where the siblings are all mixed up. Kanato in this game has back a lot of his uneasiness - but not like to the unstable level that it was in - say- Haunted Bridal. He just looks like the youngest brother who is trying to prove himself.

In this game his siblings are now; Ruki, Shin, and Ayato - do you see his dilemma? Ruki is super smart. Shin and Ayato are both loud and out going - Kanato is just the baby trying to prove he can be like his brothers. Because, unlike Azusa, who is happy to be with Ruki Yuma and Kou (similar vibes), Kanato does not like being over looked. He wants to be noticed. So, that is the vibe I get from him this game.

The Anime

While not the best - the anime version of Kanato is still wickedly adorable. I am happy that he is so involved in season one, as the anime mostly focuses on the triplets. I think they do a good job of showing off just how much of a little monster Kanato is. Whether its smacking coffee or falling off a balcony.

Misc. Merch.

The more I see this boy - the deeper I fall in love. He is so adorable I can't stand it. They always make him look so needy and hopeless~ or bratty and yandere.

For him not being my favorite when I first got into the series, he has come a long way. I always have to stop myself from just buying everything Kanato I can - because he is just that cute. I know a lot of people are put off by him - but I am a sucker for a lil baby who just needs love and validation.

☾ Indulge in Chibi-Usa’s favourite foods! Like her mother, she has a major sweet tooth - in particular, she loves purin, which while often translated as “pudding” refers to a specific Japanese dessert similar to flan. She also loves pancakes, particularly those made by her mother figure Ikuko - try adding blueberries!

Or, you could bake Chibi-Usa’s specialty, apple pie with a lattice crust, or some animal-shaped cookies with sparkly little decorations - but keep in mind the best cookies are the ones which might look a little funny, but taste delicious! Just remember to brush your teeth later or risk a visit to the ~haunted dentist~.

☾ Chibi-Usa is still figuring out what she likes and practices a lot of hobbies over the course of the series. That said, she is consistently shown to be a passionate and talented artist! She likes to paint and draw and, although she finds it difficult, also enjoys sculpting. Why not break out the old watercolour paints or air-dry clay? You could also ask a family member you admire to pose for some life-drawing practice. (Just don’t be offended if they’re a little vain.)

☾ Chibi-Usa liked to perform little magic tricks to cheer people up, a habit she learned from her guardian figure Sailor Pluto - “if you feel sad, say the magic word ‘abracadabra’ and you’ll soon feel happy again.” Of course, Chibi-Usa had the assistance of her magical tech-toy “Luna-P,” which could transform into objects at will, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn some sleight-of-hand to brighten someone’s day!

☾ Dress like Chibi-Usa for the day! Despite being a kid, she has a very mature sense of style, and often dresses quite sophisticatedly; perhaps a reflection of her desire to be grown up. She’s often seen wearing an imitation of a Japanese school uniform, so it might be time to wear something uniformy-but-cute yourself. When not mimicking a sailor suit, she trends between two extremes; regal layers and frills with darker, richer colours, or bright, sporty, and colour-blocked to emphasize her youthful energy. Common colours are blues, grey, and yellow. Her favourite accessories included red-and-white ribboned saddle shoes, a backpack shaped (or even made out of) a stuffed toy, a hairbow matched to her outfit, and a broad sunhat with red ribbon gifted to her by Ikuko.

As Sailor Chibi Moon, her uniform is similar to Sailor Moon’s but with even more hearts, so if you have any loveheart-shaped accessories it’s time to PILE them on. Her image colours are sugar pink and red.

Chibi-Usa’s hairstyle might seem like a physical impossibility - her creator Naoko Takeuchi certainly thought so - but believe it or not, it’s possible to do yourself without a wig or extensions! Follow a tutorial like the one below to nail that signature pinecone-odango-head look.

"KUROO TETSURO, YOU GET YOUR ASS BACK OVER HERE!" you yelled as you sprinted after him. 

Your best friend has snatched your phone from you. On a regular day, you would ignore this. He normally did this with your other belongings, mainly your school supplies, but he never went to the extent of taking something like your phone away from you. Therefore, this was not a regular day. Needless to say, you went ballistic and darted after him as he dashed out of the classroom. 

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, CHIBI-CHAN~" he yelled back in a mocking tone. 

The chase had taken up quite a bit of your lunch time. You had lost sight of Kuroo a while back. You didn't know what twists and turns he made that allowed him to wiggle out of your grasp, but you had a feeling you knew exactly where he would be. 

Kuroo, on the other hand, had managed to escape from you with your phone in his hand. He was camping in the storage room of the gym, scrolling through your photo gallery to delete any blackmail photos of him from your storage. The other day, you had threatened to send Bokuto meme pictures of himself if he didn't help you study for the upcoming Chemistry exam (he did not need that annoying owl to have more material to make fun of him with. Absolutely not). Of course, he said he would help you, but he only said that because he wanted to steal your phone and delete whatever those photos were at all costs.

He scrolled through the folder you created of his meme faces, cringing at how many you had managed to take without him realizing. There were some that he did think were funny, so he sent them to himself and left them there. After deleting all of the bad ones, he didn't know what to do. His thumb hovered over a folder that was labeled 'Mementos,' hesitating before deciding to press it. He expected to see a variety of different photos with friends and family, but he didn't expect to see so many photos of him sleeping. 

All of the photos were taken on days the two of you studied together. But the thing that stood out to him the most was the fact that all of those photos had your head situated next to his with an affectionate smile. His eyes widened, and he fought back the urge to scratch the back of his neck, a habit he had when he felt embarrassed. He let his eyes soften when he realized that the smiles you gave him in the photos were genuine smiles, which he learned to recognize over time. It was one of the reasons he fell for you, but he would never tell you that. He was completely fine with the relationship you two currently had. These photos explained why he remembered one of his more realistic dreams. During one of those study sessions, he had remembered the feeling of a warm breath blowing softly into his ear, but he didn't know whether it was from his dream or if someone had done it to him.

Speaking of remembering, he had felt like he had forgotten something very important about you, but he couldn't put his finger on it. 

"Is her birthday soon? No...." he muttered to himself, crossing his arms, letting the phone dangle loosely in his hand. 

He was so deep in thought that he hadn't heard the sound of the door creaking. He had his back faced to the door, and he had his eyes closed, so he didn't know that someone had come into the room. He continued to rack his brain of that one crucial fact that he had forgotten about you. He was so concentrated that he didn't feel your phone slip out of his hand. Just as he was about to give up on remembering, it hit him. 

On the head. 

He crouched down in pain and clutched his head. 

You just so happened to be a black belt in karate. You had just knife-handed him on the head. 

A few minutes after he recovered, you sent him a text. 

chibi chan: I copied the photos. 

"Damn it, Y/N." he said to himself. A few seconds later, he received another text and a few images. They were the pictures of him sleeping. 

chibi chan: Let's hang out soon. 

He smiled and felt himself blush before sending his reply.

Airplane Crossing Over Plots~

Like it says on the tin, these were ideas I had for crossovers involving our fav writer~ (EDIT: Thank you @guiltycorp for inspiring this a bit XD)

Now, I’ve mentioned before, with Airplane choosing the go home option, he ends up still with a golden core in all this mess but he needs to cultivate his body really carefully because of it. (come on, he put in all the time and effort to be an immortal master, he should be able to still have his bad ass skills; not to mention with it being a soul thing, because a golden core is just as spiritual as it is physical, so he will definitely still have it.)

So, sealing his core and having his Nascent Soul outside his body to relieve some of the pressure on it, (having it look like a little chibi SQH that usually hangs out in hoodie pockets or hiding in Airplane’s hair with an aura of disguise around it), Airplane has to go and actually work out, which isn’t too much of a hardship for him at least, seeing as he’s had years to get into a routine and survival instincts kicking in to help him out there.

And, he may have actually started taking school seriously again, actually applying himself, maybe even getting an online accounting job to help supply his income. When he’s steady with that, he finishes PIDW the way he had been leading up to, the ending that makes the most sense and satisfices the writer the most (and if it gives him some closure, he isn’t saying anything about that.) Now that he is finally free from PIDW, and has college and work to worry about, he writes whenever he damn well pleases, and whatever he wants to fuck what anyone says.

(He might or might not write some absolutely filthy porn whenever the mood hits him, and cackles how his fans both greedily read it and cry because his newer works are so tragic, even if they have happy endings at times. Yes, Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky is a porn writer, but first and foremost is he an angst writer more~ His fan’s tears and cries just make him stronger kind of writer~)

(I just honestly want Airplane to write what he wants to now, that is one of the biggest motives behind all this honestly)

So, we have the set up :D let’s get to what we can cross over here~

First Up: ~Cutivation Group Chat~

Come on, how can one resist this? Plopping good old Airplane into this wild ride is one of the few things that makes me so happy in life. The thought of it makes me grin, especially since it can go two ways in my opinion~

First way: Airplane replaces Song Shuhang; like, just seeing Airplane, who was an Immortal Master and Teacher in those situations would be so funny, yet intriguing as well to see how he handles it, because you know he’ll be able to, just in ways no one ever expects. (Besides, that werid luck of Shuhang’s would be perfect for him, tho he won’t seek death like the other would~ :D Airplane still has a lovely sense of self-preservation~)

Second way: Airplane is one of Song Shuhang’s roommates. (for this, I’m going to say their Dorm was big enough for five peeps, because I want Airplane to have more friends damn-it.) Just... the imagery of the two neutral disasters getting into so much mayhem and hijinxs together, giving Song Shuhang not only a friend/brother in arms he can always depend and rely on, but also a steady source for learning and cultivation as well :D

(Also, Airplane and Gou Moumou being writer friends, the two of them able to bounce ideas on to each other (oh god, now you have inspired me, how dare you make me write this./hahahaha, you know you want too/ bitch turnabout is fair play/ ah fuck.) also: just the image of Airplane meeting Senior White and being completely unaffected because not only is his survival instincts going in overdrive, but also:

Airplane: ? He’s not my type.

Everyone: *jaws dropped*

Second Idea: Card Room (Rebirth)

Now First, for those who don’t know Card Room (Rebirth), this is an action/survival/mystery thriller BL Unlimited Flow type of novel; it follows one Xiao Lou, a medical professor who specializes with examining the dead, and his journeys through multiple rooms after having died in reality, the difficulty of each of these rooms measured with Playing Cards from 2 to K and with different types of rooms being sorted by their suits of Hearts (Mystery), Diamonds (Puzzle), Spade (Survival), Club (Luck/Money). The Goal of the story is to beat all the rooms and return back to the world of the living once more. To aid in this, people can get special cards to help them fight/ take care of their health/ or even just daily life essentials to be able to actually get through places. 

So... this means after getting all used to living once more and getting into his grove in the modern world... Airplane unfortunately kicks the bucket, yet again! Thing is, this time it happened after he played a card game with some of his roommates, I’m going to say poker, and they were betting who would do what chores. Aiplane managed to make out pretty well, and was pleased with it, so was very much bummed when he ended up dying yet again.  He goes through the room, some by the skin of his teeth, but with his cultivation abilities still usable (can’t stop something on a soul level here) he gets by okay. Though, all his cards either deal with writing, supplies, and the rare cultivation one at times.

He gets by at least.

Now, because this series gives me some emotions, here is one thing I will say: Airplane and Liu Ying end up partnering up and break through together, because damn it, Liu Qiao and her sis deserve some damn happiness ;-; Maybe Airplane and Liu Ying meet by chance, Airplane impressed by the young woman’s intelligence and Liu Ying can in turn be grateful for Airplane’s resourcefulness. Maybe even include the original girl that Liu Ying teamed up with, So we have three people already in your team to survive! (because surviving the rooms 2-4 is already damn amazing considering how hellish they get :D ) 

This is a fun crossover for me to imagine honestly, because it would be perfect to showcase Airplane’s skills in logic, reasoning, and pure survival our boy is known for; let that resourceful and logistic riddled mind out to play as he fights to get the fuck out of this world, even if The City of the Moon is beautiful and all.

:D So, those were the ideas I would like to really see, but here is some more for anyone curious:

Honorable Mentions: These are ones I would love to see Airplane accidently going into, and just going yikes, or nope! or even ‘Really?’

Lord of End of World:

... This story, it concerns me greatly; I like the worldbuilding, even has a few really cool girls in it, and I find the protagonist rather curious (to an extent, blackened Gary Stu that he is...) but does it make me cringe at times with the underage theme to it; it’s part of their cultivation and all, but god damn does the way this story push some of it really sqink me out, I had to drop it because it made me so uncomfortable, so just a heads up there. this is one of those stories that makes me want to write spite fiction, but also make me cringe at the thought of remembering it at times.

Anyways, so, how it boils down to it is that this poor guy, known as the Young Master of the Unground Palace, was abused in all the ways one can practically be abused, just so their Master can get stronger themselves by forming the perfect cauldron to absorb, but who manages to kill their master only to die as well. He ends up transmigrating into Gong Lixin, a 16 year old wealthy young master about a year (I believe) before the apocalypse happens... (Like I said, I have so many damn issues with this damn story, I cry.)

Just, on one hand, imagining Airplane in this world also makes me laugh (and maybe hope), because maybe here Gong Lixin could actually learn a cultivation style thats not only suited to him, but also doesn’t need him to dual cultivate all the time and rely on cauldrons (maybe get some needed therapy as well, Airplane knows some peeps; I can dream~), he can have a stable, reliable teacher here who will have no lust or attraction to him, Airplane helping the kid out at first because they look like they’re recovered from a really bad Qi-Devitation and the teacher in him can’t leave that alone. Airplane can also relate with the youth about transmigrating, maybe even telling him about his own time with that. (And Airplane can use his own cultivation to smack around any bitch looking sideways at his student, because fuck that shit, he is only seventeen and traumatized.) Just, turning this story into a cute mentor and discipleship and emotional healing would make me so happy.

Monster Inn Rectification Report

So, this is another Transmigration story~ MC transmigrates as a poor canon fodder son, who would have ended up in a vegetable state after being neglected in favor of the super amazing awesome adopted son. He then goes on to accidently inheriting a supernatural end for Monsters~

Like, this idea makes me grin evilly; though things will change up a bit, since both of Airplane’s parents have already split up and have their own families? Just, the Former An Ding Peak Lord running an Inn? :D Building it from ground up from bascially nothing? :D Oh, man, this man has run worse things, and even a Demon Kingdom, he got you~

Supernatural Movie Actor App

Its a BL about a guy with a split personality who does realistic (as in for real) horror movies through an app, to get his wish to come true.

This actually goes really good with my idea of Airplane wanting to be an actor and all, only to have his dreams crushed :D He doesn’t at first realize what he is getting into when he gets the app, thinking it might be a chance for him to still be able to do his dream, only, surprise, surprise, he ends up entering a real life Horror movie environment~ I’m really curious about what he would dream about~

Comeback Kid: Part 3

Summary: More third person additions to the chaos rp that @chibi-mushroom​​ and @animacreates​​ are doing.This time, Sabrina has spontaneously decided to break up with Ventus after what could amount to a nervous breakdown. In the aftermath, she is forced to take all her vacation time and become reacquainted with one of her favorite hobbies. But is it enough to get over Ven, or will the memory of him be too much to ignore?

In dance, the phrase 'one more time' was its biggest lie. It was always 'one more time' before you ran through the routine seven more times. It was very common for a class to sometimes run five to ten minutes over just because the teacher wanted to make sure everyone had the right steps down. The only good thing about having private lessons meant that you could almost end the session whenever you wanted. Roxanne wasn't that bad either- no surprise, Max was pretty good at finding genuine girls.

Not much smaller than Sabrina, Roxanne was a lovely redhead with a habit of twisting her hair when she was nervous or excited. When dancing, she kept her hair up in a high ponytail with a little strand hanging down on the right side of her face. Sabrina didn't want to admit it, but Roxanne was pretty good as an instructor. Just a few days under her tutelage and Sabrina was once more accustomed to her dancing shoes. It also helped that Sabrina was there four times a week. She would have been here six times a week if her family wasn't closely monitoring her. It was like being a preteen all over again.

“The recital isn't that far away, but if you want to, I'm sure we can squeeze you in.” Roxanne offered after the first week. At this point, Sabrina had gotten a refresher on the basics, so she and Roxanne were working on a short routine for her to further develop her old skills. “You can use this routine we're going through and everything.”

“I've got all the time in the world, Roxanne.” Sabrina prudently informed her. She couldn't look at her teacher because she was currently stretching a leg on the barre. “I can be here every day of the week if I wanted. As long as I'm home before 10. I'm on a curfew.”

“Any particular reason?” Roxanne asked, not meaning any harm. “I noticed that someone usually drops you off. Max mentioned that you were trying to recuperate from a bad breakup. Is that still the case?”

Sabrina's body tensed. “Yeah.” she grumbled. She switched legs before telling Roxanne, “Apparently, coming home and screaming like you've got witnessed a murder means you've had a mental breakdown and need to take a month to recover. If that.”

“Oh, wow.” Roxanne marveled. “I didn't know. I'm sorry. Let's talk about something else, then!”

“Let's.” came the agreeing hiss.

“I know!” the bubbly instructor said. “The local radio station is going to be interviewing some staff here at the studio for a little sketch they're doing. Something about hometown heroes or hotspots? Either way, I'm one of the staff that volunteered to be interviewed, so I may have to leave our session for a bit to talk to one of the hosts.”

“When is this happening?” Sabrina questioned, putting her leg down so she could give Roxanne a hard glare.

“Next Monday, I believe.” Roxanne grinned. But then she noticed Sabrina's dark expression and seemed taken aback. “You don't mind, do you?”

“No, I guess not.” Sabrina replied, her voice rather dark, before she got down to the floor to straddle the wall. Maybe the pain from the stretch warmup would distract enough to not be bitter.

. . .

“Lengthen your body a bit more. Good. Now lower your leg slowly… Perfect!”

This routine was becoming second nature at this point. Roxanne would sometimes stand near Sabrina to help her balance a bit when they had to review certain positions, such as at this moment. Not that Sabrina particularly enjoyed the -literal- hand holding. Still, someone would have tutted at her for not accepting other's help- let alone from her own teacher. She could stomach this for now.

The girls were interrupted when Roxanne's phone started to go off. She carefully let go of Sabrina before going on over to see who it was. She gave the phone a rather funny look as she answered it.

“Hello?” she asked. Sabrina only half listened to the conversation as she got some water from her water bottle. “Is he here? That's great! I'll be out in a moment.”

Roxanne happily twisted her hanging strand of hair. “He's here!” she happily announced to Sabrina.

“I'll be back in a jiffy. Feel free to go through the routine again, or whatever else you'd like.”

Sabrina gave the instructor a rather disinterested hum in response. It didn't phase Roxanne in the slightest. She happily smiled before heading on out the door. Sabrina looked back to where Roxanne had left, then her gaze fell to the one-way mirror next to the door. It was placed there so parents could watch their children dance. Sabrina had a good feeling that other people used it to peep in on whoever was in that studio at the time. She knew that at least one single parent on Mondays looked in on her while she practiced. He wasn't particularly cute and his kid was a brat, always asking to go to the bathroom so they didn't have to be in a class they didn't even enjoy.

She had a feeling someone was watching her now, and the thought made her grimace.

Besides throwing a towel up at the window, there wasn't much Sabrina could do about it. So instead she went to the stereo and flipped through her music playlist. She didn't know how long Roxanne would take, but she wouldn't spend her time just sitting around for her. Sabrina clicked her tongue as she went through every song she had, not liking a single one at the moment. She finally paused when a song with a relatively good beat started to play. Her expression hard, Sabrina carefully stepped away from the stereo to the center of the room.

She looked at herself in the mirror as she started to move her body to the music. It was like she was experimenting. The routine she and Roxanne were working on led emphasis more to her legs and upper body control than much else. But this time, Sabrina just went with whatever felt good. Quick foot movements, seductive little hip tilts, her arms used to bring her chest up a bit higher as she continued to watch herself. Sometimes she'd close her eyes- phantom images of a certain someone crossing her mind as she moved her body just the way she wanted. She never once got the chance to 'service' him like a professional. The idea just never came up before. Now it was the only thing she could think of.

She was a bit disappointed when the song ended. At the same time, she didn't realize how much of a workout she had given herself. Her chest lightly heaved as she caught her breath. She wasn't quite aware that the door to the studio room opened up until she saw someone with fiery red hair enter with Roxanne. Sabrina immediately spun around to give them both a dark glare. Roxanne didn't seem to notice Sabrina's annoyance, the newcomer (who had to be a good six feet at least) just grinned at her in a smarmy way.

“Sabrina!” Roxanne happily said, “Come meet Lea. He's that radio host I mentioned earlier.”

Sabrina remained rooted in her spot. It didn't stop Lea from casually walking over to her, extending his hand in hopes of an earnest handshake.

“Pleasure to meet'cha!” Lea grinned. It didn't change Sabrina's outlook on him in the slightest. “Your name is Sabrina, yeah? You wouldn't happen to be the same Sabrina that used to work at the police station with Sora, are you? The one that was fraternizing with another cop. Ventus, I think?”

Sabrina's face immediately paled. Without meaning to, she grumbled under her breath, “Shit.”

“So you are her!” Lea gleefully marveled. “Sora's got a lotta respect for you. Makes Kairi jealous sometimes, you know?”

Sabrina just gave him a stiff nod- unsure if she was going to kill Kairi first when she next saw her, or Sora. Maybe both. Both sounded incredibly tempting at the moment. Then she could steal their kid as a peace offering to Ventus. It would be the perfect revenge.

“How do you know Kairi and Sora?” she asked instead through clenched teeth. She did accept his handshake, although her grip was a bit too hard. Oh well, she had to assert dominance over this moron somehow.

“I'm Kairi's brother if you'd believe it.” Lea snorted. He pulled his hand away with a little shake, but didn't say anything about it. “We don't get to meet up as often as we'd like, but when we do…! Phew, her man really knows how to tell a story.”

“Sora does have a chronic 'won't shut up' problem.” Sabrina agreed with a sneer. She folded her arms in front of her chest in defiance.

“Now, I wouldn't put it like that,” Lea laughed, placing a hand behind his neck. “But he is animated. Hopefully having kids won't knock that out of him too much.”

“Here's hoping.”

From there, a dead silence fell between the two of them. Sabrina casting daggers at Lea from her eyes, while Lea likewise felt a bit out of place. There were few people who made him feel small. Kairi when she was peeved was one of them. This girl, Sabrina, was starting to become another.

“Well, I, uh, should let you girls get back to your lesson.” Lea stammered, hoping to get out of the room as fast as possible now. “It was a pleasure to meet you guys. Roxanne. Sabrina.”

Roxanne gave a happy wave as Lea left, Sabrina just continued to give him a hard glare. Once it was sure that he had left the building, Roxanne immediately turned to Sabrina to take her by the hands.

“You were a cop?!” the bubbly redhead asked. Sabrina’s whole body tensed as she tried to get out of her instructor’s grip.

“Roxanne, now isn’t the time…”

But Roxanne was too in wonder to do much else.

“Well it’s no wonder you got such refined upper body strength!” she went on. “You can’t really tell because you don’t show off a six pack or anything, but do you ever look at yourself in the mirror? How your abs just contract and expand in this beautiful way?”

“How does that even-?”

At this point, Sabrina might as well give up making Roxanne change the subject. She was going to have to excuse herself to leave early today if this kept up. Why did talking about the past feel so much more draining now? It’s not like it was anything she was -too- ashamed of. Were the memories draining because she worked to the point of exhaustion? Was it because of the people she spent time with? No, that couldn’t be right- would it?

Either way, Sabrina was sure of something;

If she saw Lea again, it would be far too soon.

Sabrina looked at Roxanne like the dance instructor just told her Ventus had recently punted a puppy.

“Don’t worry,” she tried to tell the unamused dancer, “You’ll still be able to do your single routine at the recital. But I think it would be good if you tried a pas de deux as well.”

“With who, Roxanne? Because I don't know anyone else in this studio, and I sure as hell am not just going to start shaking hands with the first guy that walks in.”

Roxanne very quickly twirled her strand of hair in excitement. “Oh, but I think you already know who this is. He’s been a super quick learner for our first session. You and him can come up with a routine for the recital in a snap.”

Sabrina just continued to stare. “No, I don’t think I do.”

“Just trust me.” Roxanne told her, even putting a hand on her shoulder. “He’ll be here on Thursday. I’m going to get you two started as soon as possible.”

Sabrina emitted a low growl of displeasure. Even when she had freedom, she was still trapped. But she was patient… to a degree. She decided to humor Roxanne and waited dutifully for her new dance partner. The odd feeling that the certain someone was blonde kept nagging at her. When the door to the studio room opened, she had to physically keep herself from strangling the six foot, fire red haired mutant that actually did come through the door. He even acted all surprised and thrilled to be with her- that fool.

“Hey Sabrina!” he cheerfully greeted. “Roxanne was telling me that you're looking for a dance partner.”

“I am not.” came the prudent reply. She even folded her arms in displeasure as he walked further forward.

“Ah, too bad.” he teased. He boastfully pointed to himself before adding, “Because you got one right here!”

“Behind the beanpole in front of me, or are they somewhere else in the building? It would be rude to not tell them they aren't wanted to their face.”

“Ha, ha.” Lea retorted in a dry tone. “Look, Roxanne’s kinda already gave me the spiel that you’re not that trusting toward others. I ain’t gonna knock that outta ya because it’s your business. But you’re a good dancer. You put a lot of heart into what you do. Now, I may not be the best, but I want to work with you.”

Sabrina held herself tighter. “Why?” she sharply questioned. “What do you have to gain from it?”

“Do I have to have anything to gain from it?” Lea wondered right back, his hand sheepishly reaching behind his neck. “Maybe I’d just like to dance with a talented partner? Do I hafta go through a whole interview process?”

She wasn’t going to lie, it sounded incredibly tempting. But this wasn’t the police station. This wasn’t even her trying to find some good trait in a super lousy county treasurer with delusions of grandeur. She didn't know Lea well enough to know what he'd do at all. Not knowing if she couldn't trust someone was like being vulnerable; she couldn't allow it, and she wanted it even less. However, she likely wouldn't even be in this spot if she didn't open up more. She flinched, not for the first time today thinking of someone else. If she could have just stopped being an abusive monster and just talked to him like he wanted…

“Fine.” she finally grumbled. Her fingers digging into her arms as she looked back up at Lea. “But only until this next recital. After that, I don't want anything to do with you.”

“Alright, geez.” Lea retorted, unsure if he should be grateful or even more wary. “Dancing with one guy isn't going to change your whole outlook on life, kid.”

Sabrina recoiled a bit. Lea didn't know it, but that was exactly what she wanted to do.

Soukoku Fluff Week 2020 – Feb. 11 – Present (gifts) and “Will the empty days start to shine bright?” - Trash Candy, S1 OP

Title: Proof that we belong to each other (cat!Dazai)

It’s been four months since he started living with a human and in those four months he has learned many interesting things.

First, that said human’s name is Chuuya. At the beginning he referred to him as Chibi-human (because he was shorter than the average adult humans he used to saw around when he lived on the streets), but it wasn’t until another female human came to visit them that he learned his name, mostly because he always seemed to react at the word Chuuya, so it wasn’t that hard to connect the dots.

Second, that Chuuya had given him the name Dazai. At first he couldn’t understand why his human produced that weird sound around him, especially when he or his tail was too close to crystals filled with a red liquid, but soon he realized that that was his human’s way to refer to him or call his attention. So now whenever he heard the word Dazai he knew that Chuuya was talking to him and that now he was Dazai.

Third, that crab was the best thing in this world! After Chuuya took him in his home and cured his injuries he gave him some canned crab and ever since then he has become obsessed with it. Sadly, Chuuya insists in giving him a balanced and diverse diet, so crab was not on his plate everyday as much as he wishes or begs for it. Although he has learned that if he behaved good Chuuya awards him with crab.

Fourth, that Chuuya will spend a lot of time outside home, not that he was complaining.

He spends most of his time sleeping on the couch in front of the funny looking black box that shows moving images, or sleeping on Chuuya’s bed. Sometimes he would play with some of the toys Chuuya has got him or jump from shelve to shelve to stretch his legs, though he does his best not to knock Chuuya’s stuffs, mostly because the last time he did it he punished him with bland food. Eww.

But the point was that Chuuya would barely spend time at home.

The first three days after he was picked up from the streets Chuuya was with him the whole time, even when he went outside to get him things or to take him to the scary woman dressed in white that insisted in putting needles in him (which leads him to the fifth thing that he has learned in the past months: vets are the worst!). But after those three days Chuuya started to leave their home without him for long periods of time.

He started to think that Chuuya got tired of him and was abandoning him, like his clowder did, but Chuuya always came back and he always made sure to pay attention to him, even though he could sense the tiredness and tension from him.

Which leads him to number six, purring relaxed Chuuya a lot!

He discovered this after Chuuya came back home covered in dust and with his clothes in a poor state. Chuuya seemed really upset and he could have sworn he saw the floor break with each step he took.

“Nya?”

“Not now, Dazai!” was what Chuuya said before entering the room that he has learned to know as the bathroom (seven?) and locked himself in it.

An hour later Chuuya came out cleaner but still tensed. He didn’t know if it was safe to approach him yet.

After putting some new clothes on, Chuuya sat on the couch and hid his face in his hands. Once in a while he saw his shoulders shaking and it seemed that it was hard for him to breath. Not knowing what to do, he hopped on the couch too and started to rub himself against Chuuya’s side and purring, as his mother used to do when he was a cub.

It seemed to work because Chuuya stopped hiding his face, and instead started to pet him. That night Chuuya carried him to his bed to keep petting him, while he purred close to his chest, noticing how little by little Chuuya started to relax until he fell asleep. Since that night it has become his duty to always guaranteed Chuuya’s relaxation whenever he was home.

Of course he has learned more things (had he already mentioned how great crab is?!), but those were probably the most important ones these past months.

[Though Chuuya’s ability to make stuff float in the air was also worth mentioning, and the fact that he hated the one time Chuuya used it on him to lower him from the highest shelf in order to take him to the vet, again!]

Anyway, aside from the vet, he was really happy with his current life, definitely better than trying to survive alone on the streets (although there were times he would receive help from an old calico cat).

Back then his life was empty and meaningless, that is why he barely fought back when a clowder decided to pick a fight with him for entering their territory; he just wanted everything to end once and for all. But never, even in his wildest dreams, would he have thought that a human would take him to his home and give him a better life, a brighter one.  And now that he has taste of it, he wouldn’t trade it or lose it for anything in this world.

“Dazai, I’m home!” announces Chuuya from the door.

“Nya!”

“I have a surprise for you,” Chuuya sets some bags on a table and grabs an object from one of them that looks like a thick blue rope with pieces of metal attached to it. “I probably should have given you this months ago, but with all the work and…well it doesn’t matter,” he finishes saying while shaking his head. “Better late than never, I suppose.”

“Nya?”

“You will see.”

Chuuya approaches him and kneels in front of him. He shows him the blue rope and lets him smell it for a while, he is disappointed that it’s not food but it doesn’t seem to be something threatening either, and when he paws it, it makes an interesting sound.

But as much as he wants to play with the noisy piece of metal, Chuuya ends up telling him to stop between laughs in order to put the rope around his neck.

“There you go,” he says with a smile. Then he picks him up and carries him in front of what he has learned to know as a mirror, an object that apparently shows him how he looks like (and not a window that showed him another cat that imitates his moves, as he first thought).

[“Good! There’s not enough space for another cat in this place, thank you very much”].

“What you think?” says Chuuya; he can sense some expectation from him, like he was eager to receive some reaction from him, probably for the rope around his neck.

He inspects himself in the mirror and he has to admit that the blue rope compliments well with his brown fur. Besides, the rope was not very tight so he didn’t have problems breathing and now he could play with the noisy piece of metal as much as he wanted!

“Nya~”

“You like it, uh?” says Chuuya with excitement on his voice and scratching his chin. “I’m so glad.”

He settles better in Chuuya’s arms and starts to rub his head against his neck, noticing that he has a rope around it too, though made of a different material.

“Still, we match!” he thinks. “I’m Chuuya’s and he is mine.”

“Nya!”

“Yeah, it took some time. But, officially, this is your home,” he says without stopping petting him.

He never thought that it would be so nice to belong somewhere or to someone.

“Prr, Nya!”

why you should love nikaidou yamato

i love the drunk onii-san of i7, he’s literally hilarious,,, ANYWAYS, why should you love nikaidou yamato?? well if you don’t already, i’m about to tell you now!

one, yamato is the leader of i7!! he literally takes care of everyone, especially the underage group,,, he prepares lunches for them!! he even sticks cute flags into tamaki and iori’s lunchboxes, like that’s literally the sweetest imo,,, he acts like some old geezer that’s not interested in putting in effort and wants to take it easy, but he does all this,,, -cue tamaki voice- ty yama-san.

ALSO,,, please don’t forget the time i7 danced outside trigger’s live tour (after the ban was lifted)! they ended up getting in trouble so tsumugi decided she was going to go off to apologise, and smack bang! yamato is outside!! he knew tsumugi was going to get her head blown off, and decides to come with her, saying he’s the leader of i7 and he should also take some of the responsibility of i7 deciding to dance outside!! he’s literally such a big supporter of i7

and that leads straight onto my second point!! two! yamato is so supportive of i7 in general,,, like first and foremost, remember at the audition? he was going to drop out because he was going to let the people that actually had dreams go and try to achieve them! like it went straight to everyone else, then himself in that moment,,, what a good boy

also please don’t forget that he is so weak-willed to honest and hardworking kids like riku and mitsuki! and ok ok, he is honestly super weak to mitsuki,,, like it’s occasionally mentioned in the story that when yamato sees mitsuki working super hard, he actually wears this super upsetting expression because he’s in this for revenge, whereas mitsuki’s dream was to be an idol since he was a kid. he has a big heart.

and remember the king’s game?? he just wanted tsumugi’s lap pillow and then,,, he just gets riku. and he’s like “ahhh i want out“ but riku’s just so happy about getting chosen that he relents and decides to use riku as a lap pillow despite how much he doesn’t want to (i mean cmon look at his face, does that look like a face of willingness? yes but look at how happy he’s making riku) he’s so important in making i7 happy

three, despite how much he cares, he’s so lazy,,, i mean, isn’t that the biggest mood?? if you can’t relate to liking to take it easy,,, i beg you to take a break and just,,, rest,,, like please.,.,.,,., have you just seen him become the laziest human, holding a can of beer in one hand and is just like “you should do what you like on days off” yamato i approve

and yamato doesn’t even want to clean his room, have you seen his pet robot cleaner (roomba) musashi? he treats it like his actual pet though! he even wipes it clean and takes care of it,,, like yamato is so wholesome in everything he does?? and plus, don’t forget that his ideal date is a ‘stay-at-home date’ because he’d prefer being with them in general, rather than going out to places

four, he is incredibly skilled! he learns choreography faster than everyone else and his expressiveness is better than anyone else and he’s extremely observant as well! remember when mitsuki was just like “well crap, idk why i can’t dance as well as the others?? i’m doing everything that the others are doing but i can’t???” and then yamato jumps in. he’s just like “you’re shorter than everyone else (savage yamato strikes again) so your strides will be smaller, that’s why you’ve got to make longer strides to compensate (for your short height mitsu)” and then mitsuki’s just so happy that yamato was able to pinpoint the problem!!

also let’s not forget the music fest incident! when everyone else was lagging behind, super confused and everything, yamato (and nagi) was still smiling and able to dance properly!

plus, his expressiveness! that is one of his best qualities as an actor and an idol! he can actually act really well, even emitting certain auras like bloodlust. like he’s nailed everything about acting, he is practically a god at it! (idk what else to say here so i’m moving onto the next point,,, best face ever though)

five! let’s not forget how much of a secret worrywart yamato is!! during a rabbit chat (i believe it was the goodnight awesome ones but please don’t trust my memory) he emitted a bloodlust aura to mitsuki when they had to act, and then mitsuki started avoiding him (because he lowkey got scared of yamato). because of that, yamato started getting upset and just says to tsumugi “mitsu’s avoiding me and idk why, this is making onii-san sad”! and then he just gets so happy and relieved when mitsuki starts talking to him again!

let’s not forget when tamaki got into a fight with gaku? yamato just started seeing red, and grabbed gaku and is just “what’re you doing to our tama?!” he’s the true overprotective dad

he’s literally takapapa #2 when it comes to yaotome gaku. he makes sure gaku can’t hit on tsumugi, he’s like “stay away from our manager”, he is so overprotective of everyone!! (omg please look at the rabbit and ribbon yamato has on him)

but he’s also like this,,, please make up your mind nikaidou yamato (although he knows his boundaries too because like, on his bday, he’s just like [to the manager] “want to go out in secret? jkjk tonight, onii-san’s lovers are the fans”)

six, anyone that wears glasses should be able to relate to this! yamato cannot see anything without his glasses which is why he noped outta there when nagi tried taking his glasses (”nagi, onii-san needs this to survive in life”). and yamato has canonically confirmed that glasses are,,, his identity lmao!! when someone told him to take off his glasses during sougo’s rabbit parka chat i think, he was literally “are you trying to negate my identity?” it’s hilarious

i found that so funny omg can we not forget the fact that his king pudding chibi literally has glasses like him.,.,.,.,.,.,.,

seven, speaking of yamato’s identity/ image, it’s so important for him to remain inconspicuous (which i guess is also one of the reasons why he doesn’t want to do acting [the main reason is very spoilery so i’m keeping that out of here for now])!! like mitsuki asked yamato to see his family and yamato just instantly went sour and made a bitter laugh THEN there was also the one time he yelled at nagi for asking him about who this acquaintance he met up with was (and then he felt bad right after)

truly yamato, you are more than just a ‘little mysterious’, you are hella shady

eight, he is part of the wholesome pythagoras trio. let me, once again, elaborate to you how much yamato cares that he’ll go to hell and back for everyone in i7! if you’ve seen yamato’s unit rabbit chats, you’ll know what i mean,,, he was literally like “uwaaaa here they come, here they come” each time nagi or mitsuki was coming at him, because they basically,,, destroyed him! nagi was hugging him so much he thought he couldn’t breathe while mitsuki is destroying each and every one of his bones #ripyamato

nine! i don’t really ship anyone together in i7, but apparently, he’s shipped with almost everyone so +1 for nikaidou yamato for compatibility!!

IT’S ALL SPOILERS HERE SO BEWARE!!

i headcanon that he learns choreography faster than anyone else since he used to have to remember drama scripts and stage directions to be a part of movies and stuff,,, i guess he would be dragged into that considering his father is a pretty big and famous actor; chiba shizuo

anyways!! yamato literally became an idol just for revenge,,, like he is HELLBENT on getting revenge on his father,,, like i dont remember why he hates his father (i think it was because yamato was a secret love child?? and he was mad about that when he found out) but you know what stops him from exacting his revenge?? he’s worried about ruining idolish7!! literally i7 stops him. he is truly a supporter of i7,,, so good

he ends up getting these nightmares about basically everyone looking at him, and they’re just like “are you satisfied now yamato?? you screwed us over for your revenge, i hope you’re happy”

not exactly a good thing, but yamato is NOT afraid to screw things up,,, he literally strangled yuki at one point when he (yuki) was pushing on all of yamato’s buttons #ripyuki

also to expand on yamato being weak to mitsuki, he’s in this for revenge so i believe his original intention was once they get famous, he’s gonna screw crap up for chiba shizuo on the news or something, which also means he’s going to turn everyone’s idol career into complete dust and ashes - which also means killing mitsuki’s childhood dream which has finally come true (which is also why he gets this super sad expression i’d think)

BUT OK i need to end this because i am once again, getting laggy from how much content is on this one post -wheezes- but yes, i hope you appreciate nikaidou yamato a little more than you already did, have a yamato to conclude

Firelight Tales of Exandria, Ch.15 - “Nemo dat Quod non Habet”

Thank you all for coming, so let’s tell some stories...

“When we last left the party...they were having a GREAT time: Dren had bore his soul, and to salve that wound had offered up some TranquiliTea that was given to him by Aeden. A couple of the party imbibed, and had quite a mellow ride, and the other half of the group had embarked on an introspective journey. Having sorted some things out, and being given a helpful nudge by Zeal on how to salvage their current situation, the party returned to the Westruun Garrison barracks, and were confined to quarters; not arrested, but under careful guard, due to there being a recent murder nearby.

“The party has spent most of the day within their assigned room, and have been assigned a ‘personal investigator’ to look into the activities of the group and its possible involvement in the murder."

Warrant Officer Regnault du Gaultier makes himself comfortable in the barracks room with the party, setting up his Ghostwriter quill and notes, and Shadow wastes no time stalking and batting at the self-writing instrument.

Leaf contentedly meanders about the parade grounds, working their way through three shifts of escorts.

Cezika bemoans running out of wine, as Regnault peppers the group with questions, unintentionally amusing/annoying the party with his strange accent.

Shadow: “We did not know anything about this ‘mehr-dehr’.”

Regnault attempts to reassure the party that he is working in the best interests of the party, presenting a scroll bearing the signatures and seals of the Westruun Shields Judge Advocate General and Margrave Brandon Zimmerset naming him the party’s advocate. This does not fill Ladryssa with much confidence, as advocates in the Feywild must share the punishments of their clients.

Regnault’s attempts at being cordial with the party are met will cool skepticism, but he proceeds to interview the party nonetheless. The party plays a bit dumb regarding the discrepancies in their testimony before the inquiry board.

Cezika: “It would be better if you spoke plain?”

Regnault: “I am speaking plain.”

Cezika: “No, even more plain. You are speaking plain in the way a lawyer speaks plain, you need to speak plain as if...I don’t know. Be an actual person.”

Shadow: “Are lawyers not people?”

Regnault: “Very well, I will make zis as plain as I can: you have stepped in merde.”

Regnault informs the party that lying to the inquiry board, regardless of their motivations or degree of guilt, is a serious crime. Whether or not the purpose of their deception is related to the murder, it makes the party suspects. He attempts to explain the nature of the “Chair of Truth” the tribunal employs, when he notices Leaf is gone. Regnault orders the guards to bring the firbolg back in, much to their impotent despair.

Leaf: “Oh, are you the strange man with the strange accent [the guard told me about]?”

Regnault: “Leaf, I presume? Would you be so kind as to come inside?”

Leaf: “If I must.”

Regnault: “YES, you must.”

Leaf: “......okay” *squeezing past Regnault into the room* “Excuse me...”

Settling back in, Regnault smooths out his uniform, at which Shadow casts Prestidigitation to clean him. Regnault, instantly nettled, counterspells the tabaxi’s cantrip.

The party tries to explain that they were covering for Song and his past. As much as he appreciates the group’s efforts and noble intent, it does nothing to diffuse the suspicions of the inquiry board.

Cezika suggests that if Song can be convinced to turn himself in an submit to the inquiry board’s scrutiny, it could clear the party of any suspicion of the murder. Regnault uses Minor Image to illustrate the timeline of events (complete with chibi representations of the party), hoping to find some way to impart the gravity of Song’s absence during the presumed time of the murder.

The party tries once more to convey that Song was incapable of committing the crime, but Regnault says he isn’t the one the party must convince.

When Shadow suggests the identity of the murder victim could help their case, Regnault says that information is classified. Shadow then bemoans the obstinacy of the city authorities when it comes to withholding information that could help people.

Regnault: “To answer your second point: it is because those who have unsavory motives can to just as much with that information for the wrong reasons, as someone with the right motives can wield it for good.”

Shadow: “And you think we have unsavory...whatever?”

Regnault: “It is not my job to think, it is my job to defend you. But the more I know, the better I can do my job.”

Shadow: “How can you defend us if you job is not to think?”

Regnault: *grabbing his quill and pad* “Mon chat, I don’t expect you to like me. I don’t expect you to agree with me. Frankly, I don’t expect you to even cooperate with me. They never want to. But I take pride in my work--”

Shadow insists that everything they did was to help Song, but that it is Regnault’s duty to help Song. Regnault retorts that Song is the only one that can clear his name. Before he leaves, fuming and frustrated, he tells the party that the murdered halfling was the one who brought Buddy in and was the only one who could have testified as to why a simple gnoll trapper would be suspected of unleashing a magical corruption on the forest.

Shadow admits the rest of the party was right about not trusting the motivations of the cityfolk. Ladryssa voices similar frustration about the arcane marks that track them.

Leaf wonders how they are supposed to contact Song when they are not allowed to leave. Ladryssa suggests sending the pseudodragon and Shadow offers to sneak out, but they all agree those would be dangerous.

Shadow vents about how Regnault was quick to offense when no slight was intended.

Ladryssa: “I do not like him. He speaks in tongues that I do not trust.”

Shadow: “He is quick to offense when none was intended.”

Leaf: “He says funny words.”

Shadow: “I say funny words.”

Ladryssa: “Shadow speaks like an avalanche: to the point and fast. He speaks like a river, that is too slow and too muddy to be of any use.”

Shadow: “That is a fair comparison.”

Ladryssa: “I do not like people who speak like rivers.”

The party tries to wrap their heads around why the tribunal would suspect Song of murdering Buddy’s captor, but none of the scenarios they come up with satisfy them. Shadow cannot understand why everyone is so suspicious when the truth seems so plain.

Shadow asks the guards where Regnault went and asks to speak with him, and says they wish to apologize (to which the guard laughs). Shadow then asks for some time outside, which they use to run laps, alarming the guards.

The next day, Cezika is summoned to the Chamber of Judgement, but before she enters she sees Regnault approach with Song in tow. Cezika asks for tips, and Regnault tells her they can tell if the chair is affecting her with its Zone of Truth. Song is not happy about being subjected to such a sensation.

Regnault: “Think of it zis way, mon ami: it’s like being hugged by justice.”

Cezika is questioned by the inquisitorial board, as everyone else before her. Upon being dismissed and escorted out of the Manor, she sees Song being manacled and lead into the Chamber with Regnault at his side. Cezika kisses him on the forehead before Song disappears into the Chamber.

The party is grouped in their room in the barracks, when Regnault brings Song to join them. The party’s advocate says he work still isn’t done and he will continue to push for the party’s case. He also tells Leaf that the Green Men are being released tomorrow; however, they are being banished from the Bramblewood surrounding Westruun. Leaf wishes to say goodbye to them, so Regnault says he will try to make it happen, and gets a flower from Leaf as thanks.

Alone now, the party plies the bard for information on his interrogation, but Song seems deeply disturbed by what was said, or rather what couldn’t be said.

Song: “I tried giving them my real name. I tried coping to everything and somehow--”

Cezika: “It works that you cannot lie.”

Song: “I wasn’t lying.”

Cezika: “No, but you weren’t telling the truth.”

Song: “I thought I was. I told them my name, I--”

Cezika: “That isn’t your name! Song. That isn’t your name anymore. Your name is Song.”

Song: “But then I threw all of that away for nothing; I put all of you in danger for nothing. Maybe they think I’m dead, maybe, they probably just think I’m dead. ‘Cause otherwise what it means, is that, one, I’ve just been paranoid and crazy for ten years, or that they just never cared about any of it.”

Ladryssa: “You were acting with what you thought was right, given the information you had at the time.”

Song: “That doesn’t make it better. That doesn’t give me ten years of my life back. And ‘Song’ is one of seven different names. I don’t even have my own name anymore. Not according to that thing. I’m not anyone.”

Shadow: “You are our friend. You are indispensable. We would not have gone through all of this for no one.”

Song: “But there was no point! Can you not see that? If no one is after me-- if all of that was some ego trip on my end, that maybe I just wanted them to be, maybe I wanted them to give a damn for two seconds-- then I put all of you in danger for nothing and I’ve been doing all of this for nothing. And I lost ten years of my life for nothing! And I haven’t seen my mom for ten years for nothing!

Shadow: “We can fix that.”

Song: “You can’t give me those years back! You can’t give me the life that I had back!”

Leaf: “You have the future. You have the years ahead of you now. That is something.”

Song: “And now I live it as ‘Song’... this asshole... this made-up thing...”

Shadow: “You can be whoever you want to be; whatever name you want to be.”

Song: “I want to be Kelidan again!”

Shadow: “Then do so.”

Song: “According to the cuffs I can’t. Apparently that’s not true anymore.”

Leaf: “It will be if you say it is.”

Song: “I don’t know what I want. Everything I’ve known for ten years is wrong.”

Song asks to be left alone. Shadow admits to having lost his clan a long time ago, and never thought he would have one again, but is proud to have been adopted by a new clan and is proud to have Song as a part of that clan.

A pall hangs over the party, until a frantic knock is heard at the door. Brother Maynard enters the room, bursting with excitement, explaining that Zeal and Dren are meeting with the Margrave on the party’s behalf.

Brother Maynard gives back Shadow’s sample of Alma’s corrupting brew, and eagerly passes on the fruits of his research. The “corruption” is an alchemical and magical malady, transmitted through bodily fluids, that inflicts terrible physical sickness, but also dulls the victim’s mind and “refines” the energies of their soul.

Ladryssa posits that the function of the malady’s effects is the result of a coven of various hags mixing their powers together into a singular form. Ladryssa tries to remember more about Alma’s coven, but the only thing that flashes through her mind is a consuming darkness and the name “Granny.”

What Brother Maynard can’t quite figure out is why the malady dulls the victim’s mind, which doesn’t seem to do anything useful for a would-be conqueror and is unnecessary if one just wanted to destroy a population.

Shadow takes the sample back, but Maynard is just glad to have something useful to do rather than the mundane chores of the temple. He confides that he wants to learn how to write and play music, which temporarily breaks Song out of his funk to give the cleric a crash course in songwriting (which may or may not have been a mistake) and sending him on his way with some basic chords written on some barred bard paper.

Leaf continues to innocently torment the guards by being given a time limit on their outside time (and then waiting a minute before wanting back out for another hour again).

Regnault returns in the evening to tell the party the bad news of Buddy being sent to the court martial, and the good news of being awarded the bounty. However, the Margrave has requested a private meeting with the party before compensating them tomorrow.

As he leaves, Regnault talks about working on Buddy’s appeal and surreptitiously traces a symbol on the table as he leaves, which Song recognizes as the insignia of the Clasp before it disappears. The party debates on what possible connection the crime syndicate could have with an exiled Dustpaw gnoll hunter, the murder of his captor, Gortman stoking resentment against the Margrave and his martial law, and a corrupting darkness encroaching from the wilds surrounding the city.

As the party debates the myriad of possible motives and endgames, Zeal knocks at the door, asking to speak privately with Cezika and Song. The trio stay out on the parade grounds for about two hours before returning. Cezika and Song are awkwardly quiet, but the bard suggests an unusual course of action: he’s going to take a nap!

With Amy Rose…

‘Phh, it’s hot in here.’ he lightly fanned out his bandanna, before wondering why Amy wanted to come all the way out this far with him…

The cave had some decent beauty to it, he supposed.

Suddenly… Sonic realized how… dark and humid it really was…

‘Uh-oh!’ he flinched, twitching back when the thought of Amy’s lowered eyes… blinking to him in a slow.. alluring way… caught the fancy of his imagination.

There was… technically… some beauty… in the cave…

“Wow..!”

Sonic heard the gasp and crunched up, shifting his body lower before swiping his eyes and head over to her.

“What is this place?”

Sonic took more notice of Amy’s features… how she had grown up… the way her hand laid by the crook of the ending curve of her silhouette…

He had barely noticed, but he was checking her out and subconsciously making decisions.

Suddenly, Amy seemed to grow nervous. Seeing Sonic staring at her, she sweat dropped a little and turned to meet his stare.

With the awkward silence, brought increased tension, and her eyes shrunk at him not saying anything with his prolonged stare…

“What’s that for!?” she saw his odd expression, but could barely make out in the dark the slight red upon his cheeks.

He also felt the awkwardness, but for some reason, it pulled him towards her,… he moved away from it though, uncertain as he also shared in her nerves.

“..Aren’t you going to..?”

“To what?!” Now Amy was getting upset, seeing him distracted, but she figured maybe he wanted her to lead the charge towards completing their mission.

Sonic suddenly straightened himself out, as if he suspected her of ‘playing dumb’ but wasn’t going to condemn her for it…

Still, he had to look smart, right?

“Yeah… you know…” he waved his hands out, down and out, to hint to her that he was ‘catching on’ to what she was ‘throwing down’.

He played it cool, not wanting to mess up his first real makeout session.

“We are alone, The lights are off..” he was trying to create… ‘the mood’…

“You’re not gonna try and seduce me, right?”

he prepared himself, getting it together and telling himself it was gonna be a run for the rings…

‘Come and get me, Amy…’

Amy was half-listening, half-ignoring him. She was preoccupied with looking around for the crystal, the true mission at stake here.

She had long since concealed more her obsession for Sonic, but even now, he was only making it awkward and not at all what he ‘thought’ was stirring anything in her.

‘Where coud that Crystal be..?’ she barely admired the cave’s beauty, but in the dark, it did glow and radiate some magnificent light…

It could be romantic…

But she kinda shrugged it away, it’s not like Sonic would-

She suddenly picked up on his last line, and every bone in her body spazzed out at around the same time. It was a like a ringing of a bell going off in her craving-deprived mind and she quickly stepped back to look at him.

By now, he was just wondering when she’d pounce… turning his bandanna around, he carefully, silently… undid the knot for her and waited for her to make the first- and last- true move on him to end and sweeten the deal…

Boy was he wrong.

“GEEZ, SONIC!” she flung her arms out to direct him to the lighted, crystalline path.

“Focus on your job!” she scolded, an eye twitching as she used every mental practice of discipline to tell herself he was kidding.

Startled, he shot himself straight up in an army man’s stance, hands to his sides.

“O-okay…” he was more than embarrassed, he was confused, and downright…

Disappointed.

As they continued along, he mumbled little grumbles from the side of his face, at the corner of his frowny mouth. Looking off away from her, he would secretly take glances back at her, seeming more and more frustrated as she walked on ahead.

‘What’s her problem?!’ he moved himself over rocks in their path. ‘She should have been all over me!’

Amy suddenly stopped in the middle of her stride towards deeper within the cave.

‘H-huh.. what’s she doing?’ Sonic froze up a moment, looking perplexed with an ‘o’ in the center of his mouth, as if confused by why she stopped.

His eyes suddenly narrowed, smirking smugly…

‘Heh-heh! She must have realized what a missed opportunity she had! Alright… I’ll let you make it up. No harm… no foul…’ he switched his bandanna around again, before she turned her head over her shoulders.

He flinched at the deep and menacing glare that she held, before she continued to walk on.

Shivering, and not sure if she somehow hated him now or something, he continued to follow her in absolute puzzlement.

“W-what did I do wrong!?” Sonic blurted out, as she ‘hmph’d and pouted,… what he couldn’t see… were faint pink blushes on her cheeks…

The two continued through, as Sonic raced below her while she acrobatically swung herself up one pink, streaking horizontal pillar to the next.

She was gracefully beautiful… and he found himself staring at her with a puffed up cheek of annoyance.

He looked away after a moment, before spinning himself up and dashing up a speed-ramp.

“Amy!” he called out, as she saw the robots coming and jumped in the air to him.

They clasped hands and he swung her to hit the robots that were coming down from the opening at the top, before they landed in it as the robotic pieces of armor came crashing down with the mechanical worms that were piloting them.

They’re hands stayed together as they both peered down at the falling scrap metal.

“That’ll show’em.” Sonic smirked, before looking at them holding hands.

He flinched, and looked away a moment, still blushing.

Amy thought to herself, still staring down. ‘Phew, that was close.’ before looking back up and freaking out once again, her eyes turning white in pure shock at Sonic’s new expression.

He must have thought the expression made him look cool, trying to be extra-handsome, and purse up his lips and give her seductive eyes, but she just threw her arm out of his and walked on, gesturing to the end of the tunnel’s glowing lights.

“MISSION. AT. HAND.” she scolded once again.

“A..Alright.” he freezed up again in a military stance.

‘That’s twice now she’s rejected me!’ After continuing their advance, he rolled up and tightened his bandaging on his arm before Amy noticed his struggles.

‘She can’t really hate me! What did I do? I even tried the first move this time-ah!’

She suddenly put her hands on his shoulders. “Stop a second.” she looked seriously up at him.

‘Ack! this is it!’ he flipped out a moment before taking a deep breath in and closing his eyes.

She didn’t notice and moved for his arm.

He turned his chibi-crying face away from her as she helped clean-up his poor handiwork on his arm’s bandages.

‘Why..???’ he mentally cried out.

“Honestly, you need… to take better care of yourself.” she was blushing..?

Sonic turned back to notice this.

“Hey, Amy… I’ve noticed something.” he was more genuine now, but also innocently inquiring.

She was trying so hard, holding everything back, resisting the urge to hit him just because she didn’t want to frighten him with her constant doting anymore…

“…But you’ve been kinda serious lately, huh?”

She held it together, when she really just wanted to be held at that moment.

Her body quaked, and Sonic took that as her growing frustrated, and flinched back.

“I-I take it back! You’re just super dedicated to helping everyone, r-right!?” he waved his free hand out to try and subdue her anger, but she quickly got up from attending him and twitched her closed-fists.

He looked worried a moment, sweat dropping before…

She looked up with a bright red face.

“YOU DOTE! I’m trying to be sensitive to how you feel!” she blurted out.

He blinked in confusion. “Eh?” he tilted his head as a hammer came crashing down on him.

“OW! H-hey…” he pouted, rubbing his head that he lowered before seeing her turn around, gripping her hammer and hunching over slightly away from him.

“I… emm…” she was still quaking, trying to hold her feelings in… but she really wanted to cry. “Stop teasing me.. it isn’t funny.”

He lowered one hand down.

“…I… I don’t want… em… to distract you.”

He walked towards her, lowering his other arm too and extending them out.

Towards her.

“I just really want to get the mission done!” she thrust herself upwards as his hands flinched back and withdrew themselves from coming around her.

“-And you have to act like me caring about your bandages is ‘too serious’, geez!” she hollered back, and continued on, “Honestly, am I the only one whose trying to be a proper hero here?”

Once again… he misread the situation, and looked almost like he was giving up the ghost.

“I give up. I can’t understand you.” he swayed as if all energy was lost from him.

As they were about to exit the cave, he folded his arms and pouted, looking away while Amy stared at a beautiful scene in front of them.

“For once, nothing is chasing us!” she then continued but he wanted to just leave. Being around her was confusing him, and he didn’t like being so unsure of himself…

Suddenly, as they walked away, she spun around and pecked his cheek after he waited a moment for her to explore her surroundings.

He stepped to the side, pleasantly startled, and tried to hide his embarrassment at not being ready for her sweet action.

“W-wh-what was that for?!” he stated, surprised as his hands came up to ‘guard’ himself from any further unexpected surprises.

She leaned a little forward, to the side of him, and put her hands behind her. She cutely beamed a sweet grin up to him, closing her eyes, “For letting me have my way~” she teased, and then continued on, looking determined and refocused again.

“Now, let’s find the others and the rest of the crys-ACK!”

She had raised a fist up, heroically, before turning back to seeing Sonic flinging off his bandanna reaching an arm out for her again.

When he saw she wasn’t ‘still in that mindset’ he raced back for his bandanna, “Oh no! The wind! My bandanna! Get back here, you-!!!” he faked his worry about the bandanna and darted to grab it again, comically jumping and missing it on purpose to throw her off his…

The Frustrated Introvert’s Dilemma

Well now, what do we have here? I'll go on record and say that yes, there is a specific event/topic that inspired this. But I'm not going to go into any more detail than that, because it's almost definitely going to come back to bite me nice and hard on the rear if I do. That's the unfortunate nature of our online-enabled world these days. That said, this actually happens to me a lot. Something will happen or I'll see a post (sometimes several posts all talking about the same thing) and I'll either have strong opinions on it or just otherwise be frustrated and want to share my two cents, and sometimes I really will go so far as to type out a Big Long Thing about it. Only, I think about it for a few seconds too long, and I end up deleting it. Because: What if the wrong person sees it? What if what I said gets taken out of context? What if I get labeled as [insert thing I don't want to be labeled as here]? What if I get in trouble some other way I haven't thought of? I don't have a very far reach, but I'd like to keep what I do have on good terms. But of course, deleting the post without posting it sort of misses the mark, and so normally I don't feel any better than I did before. But I rarely go back to it, since most of the time I either know or I think that I know posting my super-long (sometimes unpopular) opinion is only going to cause trouble I do NOT want to deal with. And thus, I'm better off keeping my mouth shut. Or, if I must, posting the vaguest-possible 1-2 sentences broadly touching on the subject. And that's where the caption, "Reasons Why I Don't Post Much" comes from. Aside from my art and the very rare things that make it past my "this is not a good idea to post" radar, especially on other social media that don't support long-form text like dA does, I'm usually fairly quiet. I am a "lurker" by nature, for the reasons above and because small talk kills me slowly. I'm sure I can't possibly be alone in this...whatever this is. This want to vent/rant/share your opinion but not being able to because you just don't want to deal with all the things that could possibly go wrong from doing so. So I made this little comic to expend my frustrations in the safest way I could think of. It gets the point across without nailing down a specific event/person/whatever. I haven't tried to make a comic in...in years. And the like 2 times I did, they were very simple and kinda dumb. (And I'm sure can still be found lurking in the depths of my gallery somewhere.) So hopefully this isn't too terrible. I tried to format it nicely so it's fairly clear and easy to read/follow, while still trying to keep it unique to me. (Or at least attuned to my own tastes.) I started with a rough traditional sketch of the four panels, done in a style similar to my Chibi Cards, which I use over on Twitter a lot these days. The character is, of course, supposed to be me, hence the purple hair, blue eyes, and black tank top. Fortunately, once the idea of doing a little "vent" comic came to mind, I was able to pretty quickly come up with a clear mental image/plan of what I wanted and what I would need to get the point across as simply as possible. And simplicity was a must because I knew I wouldn't be able to give this nice clean lines digitally unless I wanted to actually rip my hair out in the process. You can read the full details in my Ongoing Saga journal, but suffice to say I've been trying some things with my current not-Cintiq set up and Jesus Christ is it not becoming more and more aggravating. The biggest issue I dealt with here was the lack of precision, hence the messy, messy, messy lines, and the closer I got to completion with more layers involved, the worse staggering/lagging I also had to deal with. Obviously, I eventually got through it, but I am telling you guys I am so ready for a better tablet solution it's not even funny anymore. Anyway. I roughly traced my sketches to get the lines, then made the centering lines and rearranged things slightly, since my sketch wasn't perfectly centered or squared or anything. Then I expanded the canvas so I could add the frame. Then I moved on to coloring, and once again, for the sake of my sanity, I stuck with simple, flat, imprecise coloring. And I had to do it by hand since my messy lines mean the magic wand tool wanted to select about five times more area than it needed to when I tried to use it to just "grab" the sections I needed. My color choices were fairly simple. I know what colors I naturally am, and it made sense to me to make the background my "Mystic hue," since my walls are that color in real life, and it's just kind of my on-brand, go-to color now. The main colors I had to decided on were the desk and the computer screen. I went with a darker brown for the desk, hoping for a little extra contrasting, and the computer screen I kinda just went with what felt right. Picking fonts was a bit of an adventure. I wanted something relatively easy to read, but with a little be of extra flair than just Comic Sans or Generic Plain Computer text number 3,497. And I think this one hits a pretty nice place between something more computery and a handwriting look. I did have to use different fonts for the *type* 's on the second panel and for the caption/my name at the top to get the look/effect I was going for, though. It's not much and far from my best work. But at least it's a way to sort-of get my feelings out into the world. To know that I could at least do this one thing, even if I can't do anything else to vent my frustrations because other options will not end well. Anime Winter 2019 Final Impressions + Plans for Spring 2019

(I’ve seen Screen Rant and Crunchyroll using this shot as a thumbnail for news posts when the second trailer dropped, so I might as well use it too 😂)

The very first anime season of the year ends and we’re moving on to the next one, and it appears that this season is going to be the best one yet, before I discuss why with what shows I’m going to watch, let’s go back to the Winter season to rank every show I watched this season!

(Just don’t expect to see Kaguya-sama on this post, I haven’t really watched it at all, sorry. (but I will binge it eventually))

1.- Mob Psycho 100 II: Mob Psycho 100 continues to be a sakuga wonder and powerful storylines, I always thought the first season would be much more memorable for me, but I think this season definitely tops the character development and plotlines.

As for the sakuga wonder, this proves why Mob Psycho 100 is being held at better hands unlike One Punch Man, it went from Madhouse to JC Staff which is utterly disappointing, but Mob Psycho 100 being adapted by Bones and continuing to work on it is the best thing the series ever has.

I still haven’t read the manga but I can probably tell this is not the series finale, I wonder if there could still be a third and final season so it can adapt the final volumes of the manga, since it has ended recently, that third season would come in a quicker time, maybe like a year, a year and a half, or two, I don’t know, but it’s not impossible for that to happen anytime soon.

10/10 - Rank: S++ - 100% - AOTS #1.

2.- Kemurikusa: This all-new reboot has completely lived up to my expectations and it delivered some neat changes to the original and some big surprises.

Part of my experience was a bit dragged by the uncultured assholes that is 4chan with “Kemono Friends 2″ is better and such (Since it’s 4chan, some of them could be trolls, some of them could tell the truth, can’t really tell for sure), but it didn’t completely ruin my enjoyment of Kemurikusa, this is no big deal. And then there’s also the janky animation, but it’s Tatsuki’s quirk, so I’m not completely bothered by that and let him have it.

There are still some plot holes around the universe and everything else that raises questions after witnessing certain moments, but I think it’s best to leave things as it is, I wouldn’t expect Tatsuki to answer every single question, or even touch the world again.

I wonder what's next for Tatsuki now that Kemurikusa is finished when it comes to a new TV project, another remake of his classics or a completely original series? He would probably continue doing shorts for now. Either way, I totally need more Tatsuki TV projects since Kemono Friends. But for now, I would expect to see shorts being posted by parts on Twitter and then the full compilation on YouTube and NicoNico.

I almost forgot, I needed to address something: For the longest time I’ve been hyping up to watch the original 30 minute series before watching this reboot, I realized that you don’t really need to watch the original, but you should at least acknowledge its existence. But if you want to compare this to the original that badly, then you do need to watch the original. (We’re back in square one lol)

And for all the haters, please read this thread, and when you finish doing so, apologize and go take the L, conche tu madre, thank you.

10/10 - Rank: S++ - 100% - AOTS #2.

UPDATE - April 4th: Okay, a week after the finale’s release (Wednesday), Tatsuki out of the blue released a brand new 12.1 short video! (So far it raises so many questions)

I genuinely did not expect to see more Kemurikusa content, sequels even, but this is quite a surprise. I don’t know how long this is going to be but I’m sure it could be a weekly release. Anyways, this is really neat.

3.- The Promised Neverland: This was a pretty solid adaptation and the suspense has kept me on the edge of my seat constantly.

I’m so happy to see that a second season got announced for 2020. I wonder if it’s going to be a My Hero Academia situation, where it started with 13 episodes (in TPN’s case, it was 12 episodes long) and later seasons have two-cours.

9/10 - Rank: S - 95%

4.- BanG Dream! season 2: The first season heavily focused on building Poppin’ Party, this season features all of the bands and some episodes were focused on each band, which I was really interested, definitely looking forward to the 3rd season in Fall. (which I genuinely forgot it was coming out too)

Speaking of season 3, I recently researched that Rokka is a member of RAISE A SUILEN, and I wonder if S3 might get a storyline with Rokka becoming a member of RAS.

This looks way better than Monster Strike, I like that the characters have more like shading/lighting than being pure cell-shaded anime-like, but my common complaint with Sanzigen, or maybe even CG anime in general, is that they tend to make some background characters completely hand drawn which doesn’t blend well with the CG characters, it’s just horribly noticeably bad and inconsistent. You can add hand drawn effects and such, but for the love of god, never do hand drawn background characters and even main characters in flashbacks. (like Lay and Tae)

The third season was originaly going to come out on Fall but it got delayed to Winter 2020, which is a bummer, it could have been like BBK/BRNK three years ago but time is always needed.

9/10 - Rank: S - 96% - AOTS #4

5.- Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves: After spending an entire week binging everything Ikki Tousen, I couldn’t wait to see what Western Wolves had in store given on what I last saw with Extravaganza Epoch (even though I kind of forgot already), with 3 episodes for 3 months, this was a solid series with good fan service.

I hope I won’t wait for another 5 years or so for another series.

8.5/10 - Rank: A+ - 88%

6.- Kakegurui XX: Now I’m worried if this was a worthy follow-up given MAPPA’s track record of making crappy second seasons, best example being Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul.

Occasionally I was less motivated to watch an episode when it came out raw and rewatch that episode with subtitles by whatever group and sometimes I also felt like this series was way over-the-top than I previously felt like the first season

Anyways, I thought it was a decent follow-up.

7.5/10 - Rank: A- - 76%

7.- Manaria Friends: Decent series, but the most important thing I want to talk about is, this was supposed to come out on April 1st, 2016, but it got on hold a month prior its release. Since CygamesPictures was founded in 2016, perhaps they took the series and reworked into what it is now, after 3 years of reproduction and release, I wonder if it was even worth the wait. I’m also surprised the show is 15 minutes long, I’m not sure if this was part of the original version, but it’s that kind of short.

For some strange reason, I wish any footage of the original version of Manaria Friends would be leaked somewhere. 😁

Now with Manaria Friends released, and with the upcoming Princess Connect! Re:Dive anime series (and maybe they even took Granblue Fantasy: The Animation (that’s right, it’s confirmed that it’ll get a second season) away from A-1, that’s my theory), let’s see what does CygamesPictures have in store when it comes to anime based on their IP and maybe even original projects of their own (which has gotten me more curious since I’m an original anime fanboy).

Also, the show’s English title is called “Mysteria Friends” for some reason. (Well, not really “for some reason”, there’s definitely a reason why, but I’m not that big of a Rage of Bahamut person)

I never knew the show was going to be 10 episodes long, since it premiered late in January, I thought it would run for 12 episodes which it could be in April, which is way late to the Anime Winter 2019 closing party, but closing the series at episode 10 feels like a good time.

7/10 - Rank: A- - 74%

8.- Boogiepop wa Waranai: Not much to comment on this one, and I haven’t really read the LNs, but this one seems interesting. The only thing I’m not a fan of is its own style of character designs, it just looks weird and doesn’t really respect much to the original artist’s style, which lead to this whole thing with this Twitter rants and Kadokawa apologizing for the miscommunication (Can’t stop talking about this), so I guess the damage control wasn’t worth it to get used to the anime’s designs. At least the animation and visuals look good, though.

7/10 - Rank: B - 70%

9.- Lupin the 3rd: Goodbye Partner: After Part 5, I didn’t expect a new OVA special would appear right away, it’s a self-contained OVA special, it doesn’t have anything to do with Part 5 at all, though.

The only thing I’m super dissatisfied is that in 37 minutes, it seems like there was a huge skip, we jump to a crazy situation right away, after a conflict Lupin and Goemon had with Jigen minutes prior, we see that they’re working together again, like, what? It’s just feels so random...

7/10 - Rank: B+ - 72%

10.- Mini Toji: This franchise continues to give less of an impact in my life and to consider it to be on the range that of Kancolle and Touken Ranbu (you know, those games I always joke about that Toji no Miko is their baby), one year later after the base anime series, they decided to make a short spin-off series, I couldn’t turn down the offer to watch it, I was curious on what’s it going to be, and the show overall is alright, it is funny at times and I had some laughs but it’s not too hilarious.

As for the chibi style, it just looks so weird. Seeing the image below which I found in 4chan when episode 8 came out just makes me wish they could have chose this style instead of the one from Mini Toji because the current style just looks so wrong.

And there’s also the most painful, if not, the worst running gag ever, Kaoru is always getting mission jobs from her boss, every episode we see her tired and it makes me feel super bad for her, let her rest, let her suffering end. ;_;

Not to mention the show has a very sluggish pace, everything happens so fast I don’t even have time to understand or even laugh at what the fuck is going on. For a 3 minute short series, the best thing they could have gone is make a shorter opening or don’t feature an OP at all, just feature a title card to open the show and that’s it. Or maybe they could have extended the run time to 7 minutes (a la Sugoiyo!! Masaru-san) so I can enjoy the pace better.

Unlike Manaria Friends, I did know but then I forgot this series was 11 episodes long, but at the same time it threw me off thinking there could be an 11th episode but then I realized episode 0 counts.

6/10 - 60% - Rank: C-

And now... time for the top 3 worst anime of the season!

11.- W’z: I’ve probably never paid a lot of attention to the trailers (and even vaguely remember it), I thought it would be a stand-alone and different kind of series with a lot more music themed or something, but when the series premiered, it revealed itself as a sequel to Hand Shakers... THAT’S RIGHT, A SEQUEL TO HAND SHAKERS NOBODY ASKED FOR.

Despite being surprised that W’z is a sequel to Hand Shakers, I’ve grown to really like the series overall in a short amount of time, it makes me like Hand Shakers more than I previously could.

In like 3 or even 4 episodes, I couldn’t stop fanboying out constantly seeing the characters from Hand Shakers who look so grown up after the 10 year time jump after the series happened.

I mentioned that I thought that W’z was self contained, there are some moments and characters that are barely self-contained because the plot is all heavily linked to Hand Shakers (not that I’m complaining, though). I genuinely didn’t care much for the new characters, except Yukiya because he’s the adopted son of Break and Bind (Real names: Reijiro and Yukine Araki, respectively) , and he’s the McGuffin for accessibility to the Ziggurat to find Nagaoka and Mayumi. The one character I was the least satisfied for their lack of development was Midori, at first he’s had a couple of interesting moments, but the rest he barely appeared in the series and only in the previews, but in episode 9, they finally gave him plenty of screentime and even dropped some good info bombs on what the Ziggurat can do and stuff, so that redeemed my feelings on the character.

Another complaint would be the DJ Nielsen character, he’s got interesting motives and he’s the one who gave Reijiro baby Yukiya in a flashback, but his rapper-kind of voice can be so annoying. He and CHU2 from BanG Dream S2 would make a great team, or maybe a contest on who speaks the worst. (SPOILER ALERT: It’s a draw, they’re both so bad in different levels)

Then we get to episode 10 where the most important thing is that NAGAOKA AND MAYUMI FINALLY SHOWED UP. It actually took so long for them to appear because there was like a lot of stuff in the way, but whatever, I was so happy to see them... albeit with a caveat. Since the goal was to get Nagaoka and Mayumi out of the Ziggurat, it turns out that the duo themselves can’t get out because they want to live a normal life and Nagaoka was sick, as Mayumi said. It’s a little sad and it sucks that they can’t get out, but at least Mayumi had a phone call with Koyori after all.

I thought episode 12 with a Midori/Seba episode (it wasn’t an episode dedicated to those two) and to be on par with Hand Shakers with the 12 episode total, but I’m glad there was a 13th episode to have a good conclusion, and boy, this episode delivered some good surprises: The biggest moment is where Nagaoka told Yukiya how much he has grown and then Yukiya himself straight-up called him “Dad”, like three episodes prior, I had theorized that Yukiya would be Nagaoka and Mayumi’s true biological son but I backed off because I thought it would be disturbing (maybe not really, Mayumi must be old after the 10 year gap and she and Koyori don’t look like they have aged at all), BUT IN REALITY, HE REALLY IS, GOHANDS THE FUCKING MADMEN. The second thing I was happy to see was Makihara, at long last the man finally shows up, he always narrated the first few episodes and I couldn’t stop saying “Show yourself, Makihara!” or something and then there were a couple of namedrops, they took so long but maybe they wanted to save Makihara’s appearance in the flesh for last.

This may not be the biggest deal, but since every single character from Hand Shakers appeared in W’z all grown up and such, the one thing I really wasn’t happy with is the absence of Hibiki and Kodama. Sure, they both got namedropped once (though Kodama was namedropped twice) and mentioned their current careers (Kodama being a singer and actress and Hibiki being a costume designer) but I never got to see them at all, maybe they weren’t the most popular amongst GoHands’ staff. They weren’t my bigger favorites of the Hand Shakers cast (and I don’t mean it in a negative way) but seeing them how they have aged would have been really worth it, come on, GoHands!

Despite the hideous visuals GoHands has grown to have in recent years, I really liked W’z, it makes me like Hand Shakers more than I previously could. If I really liked the show so much, then why it’s in the top 3 of my worst anime of the season? Well, mainly for the aforementioned hideous visuals, while they don’t bother me much, it’s for the sake of people who can’t stomatch it. (Says the guy who put Kemurikusa on second place and gave it a 10/10, Rank: S++, 100%).

Like Kemurikusa, W’z also has a couple of plot holes, which I don’t really expect they could get answered that much, but some parts certainly raise a lot of questions, most notable, this Composer character, we never got to see who was this Composer Senri and Hana worked with. (They both don’t have in common, but they both made me ask questions about the plot and lore.)

Regardless on how you feel about the visuals nowadays, I still want GoHands to continue doing projects, one day they’ll return to their former glory with good visuals like the K franchise and they’ll win their old fans back, but the more important thing is that I still want to see them creating interesting stories.

I’d like to see more stuff taken place in the Hand Shakers universe, just don’t make sequels with every 10 year gap because I don’t want to see all the characters from Hand Shakers and W’z grow really old and die, prequels would be fine to explore more on the Akutagawa/Okuike families and/or fill the 10 year gap between said series. If GoHands decides to make completely different IP that’s not set in the Hand Shakers universe, being its own self-contained universe, I would be totalyl fine too. (I previously thought W’z was a self-contained series before it premiered after all.)

You can call me a lunatic or tell me I’m high, and say whatever you want about Hand Shakers/W’z, I’ve grown to like the franchise and I got the balls to tolerate the visuals unlike you. Besides, It’s not about the visuals anymore, it’s about enjoying the story a lot more.

12.- Virtualsan - Looking: This got announced and released a trailer simultaneously out of nowhere, but when I saw the trailer (though it was focused at introducing the main VTubers) and the opening preview, I always thought the show was going to look half-assed, and indeed it did. And speaking of the opening, this series should have been hand-drawn so it would have been cooler to see the VTubers that way.

The bigger problem is that there’s no Kizuna AI at all, which many people aren’t happy with, I’m not worried too much since I like seeing the other VTubers (people should at least watch other kinds of VTubers, not just Kizuna AI alone). Even if Kizuna AI sings the first opening theme, it won’t make up for the fact that she’s completely absent. (At least try to learn to like other VTubers the same way you have your many normal YouTubers/Let’s Players you like, you dumb fucks)

The weirdest selling point of this show, Hideaki Anno was involved in the series. Yes, you read that right, the very same guy who did Evangelion and Shin Godzilla. No wonder why there’s this one sketch where we see the main cast dressed as the girl school uniforms from EVA.

The title of the show, Virtualsan - Looking has given a lot more meaning as I kept watching, it turns out that it’s actually referred to the VTuber Baacharu always watching, he always pops up at the very start of every episode and he’s a recurring star in “Listen Sister!” (forgot the name already, oops) where he always get thrown by Tokino Sora in order to confess to Sister Claire herself [Tokino]. Then he occasionally appears at this Siro segment where some VTubers take a seat and Siro gives a lot of trivia about different topics (then Baacharu became the last guest to star in this segment). It all makes sense now, but for some reason the subtitles called Baacharu “Virtual”.

Speaking of localization, for some reason Crunchyroll decided to license the series a week after its release, but guess what? The episode release schedule was behind, they simulcast the previous episode before the new one aired in Japan, that is until with episodes 5 or 6 which made things even.

There’s no real reason for me to hate this series, I quite enjoyed it and had a lot of laughs throughout the series but the half-assed special effects and stuff are not for the faint of Western audiences’ heart.

Though, I gotta say, this has the potential to spawn more genuine VTuber anime, I’m really optimistic to see more of them in the future.

13.- Kemono Friends 2: *sigh* Oh boy, trying to write a series review on this one is going to be really tough, but to make it short, it’s as expected, Kemono Friends 2 is a soulless cash grab of a show, a shadow of its former self, definitely the WORST of the season. There’s just so many problems the show has:

Recycled storyline from the first season with a new human character nobody asked for.

Boring ass opening theme song that isn’t memorable and isn’t singable like WELCOME TO YOUKOSO JAPARI PARK.

Having two characters who serve the Raccoon and Fennec-type of roles. (despite having them featured in the OP numerous times and started to appear on episode 10)

Ceruleans look like unfinished CG mess compared to every character and heck, even the Ceruleans from the first season.

Occasionally inconsistent framerate from character movements, most of the time is a bit slow but there are a few times that it goes really fast.

Completely wiped out Serval’s memories of the events from the first season

etc.

Let’s go part by part:

The biggest crime of this season is of course not following the To Be Continued teased at the end of the first season and they decided to soft-reboot the series with a totally new human character, Kyururu.

Then, enter Armadillo and Pangolin, two characters who are looking for Kyururu for reasons [that is from the beginning of the series, later it was explained why they did it, it was to bring Kyururu to Domestic Dog], sound familiar? That’s because their roles are very like Raccoon and Fennec from the first season... when Raccoon and Fennec ALWAYS appeared in the opening (and then finally appeared on episode 10).

Speaking of the opening, the theme is a boring jazz earrape and it’s certainly not memorable or even singable as the first season’s opening, WELCOME TO YOUKOSO JAPARI PARK, those days are over.

I mostly didn’t even care for literally every character in the series. However, there are characters I do care, Kaban-chan (which I’ll discuss about her in a bit) of course, I will always care for Kaban-chan, and Domestic Dog, she’s the one Friend I’d definitely protecc because she’s a doggo and I feel bad for her in episode 8. The characters I’d definitely least protecc are Kyururu, nobody asked for a brand new human to take the Kaban-chan role, and Serval, because she doesn’t remember shit about the first season, they kind of ruined her character.

Serval was the worst change that has ever happened to her, as I stated, they basically wiped out all of her memories of the first season (or so it seems). Caracal told Serval that she had traveled with a human before and there was a small flash with Kaban-chan’s silhouette, this is one of the many things this season broke my heart very badly.

As for Caracal, the chemistry between her and Serval this season didn’t absolutely work here. Her character is depicted kind of a tsundere compared to her Welcome to Japari Park version which, gotta be honest, I definitely prefer the Welcome to Japari Park version and voice way better than the Kemono Friends 2 one. Without disrespecting the VA way too much, her voice for Caracal didn’t work for the character.

Rewatched a small portion of the first season, despite Serval having the same VA, she sounds a little different in Kemono Friends 2.

Speaking of Welcome to Japari Park, there’s the finale coming up in two weeks, so I hope it has a better conclusion than Kemono Friends 2 (which I’ll talk about later).

Now... let’s talk about Kaban-chan! If Serval wasn’t that of a poorly written character enough, Kaban-chan has definitely suffered the most! At the end of episode 5, a paper plane with a flame on its tip was flying out of nowhere, just to drive the Beast away, I heard a voice and IT WAS KABAN-CHAN!!! I was so happy that she finally appeared and I was eager to see more of her in the next episode, then the next week came and... she had plenty of screentime but... SHE DIDN’T DO SHIT! SHE DIDN’T DO A LOT OF SHIT, LIKE, SHE COULD HAVE INTERACTED WITH KYURURU A LOT MORE ABOUT WHAT DOES SHE WANT AND EVERYTHING, I CANNOT FORGIVE THIS EVER!

Well, it’s not like I wanted her with Serval to be like “Hey, Serval! Do you remember me?”, I understand she had her reasons and she must have been aware on Serval’s memory or something, but at the same time, she didn’t do a lot, though later in the episode, it was more focused on Kyururu talking to the owls about the origin of the Ceruleums, Kyururu theorized that the Ceruleans must have been spawned from the sea, and they all decide to test this out, which I don’t really blame too much that it turned out that way because they need to focus more on the overarching story of Kyururu’s search for her house, but come on...

At the end of the episode, Kaban says goodbye to the main trio, but most importantly, to Serval, as she asked Caracal to take care of her, she was downright sad.This episode was completely unsatisfying that I went so far to make a review out of it.

But that’s not the end of Kaban-chan, as she did appear in the final episodes, which I’ll talk about them in a bit...

But I gotta say, I really dig Kaban-chan’s new design. She has indeed grown up given by her height and her matured voice. 👌

There’s something I haven’t discussed very often and that is the NicoNico ratings. I haven’t seen these very often but I’ve seen two screenshots of two random episodes of the ratings, and guess what? Japan definitely voted for the “I didn’t like it.” option! Here’s a screenshot of episode 6:

This is the exact same episode with the underwhelming reunion with Kaban-chan, it deserved it.

This is very funny because, two years ago, Pop Team Epic also a lot of dislike ratings, but it’s not because PTE is bad bad, I think it’s because it’s a kuso anime and people would follow the gag that it sucks or something, but in the case of Kemono Friends 2, it’s plain bad.

Moving on, episode 9 came by, the PPP episode, and there was no Crunchyroll-Hime cameo from the first season, wow, the disrespect. Then we get to see Crested Ibis again! Though she was not a main Friend of the episode (as it is a PPP-centered episode), she has become more of a minor role, just doing auditions, she even name dropped Alpaca.

Next we’ve come to the one episode where Armadillo and Pangolin finally captured Kyururu and brought to her master, the master appeared to be a Friend called Domestic Dog. She started talking to Kyururu that she has finally met a human after a long time, she brings Kyururu to her house and OH MY GOD, SHE MADE DOG SOUNDS, DEFINITELY PROTECC, I’M BEING SERIOUS, PROTECC.

Then comes the scene where Doggo was protecting Kyururu from the Beast, the moment I saw her full of scratches and dirt, my god, I cannot unsee that, that was horrifying.

(Yes, I couldn’t resist bringing John Wick jokes)

Then when doggo let go of Kyururu, to come back to her friends, I felt so bad for her. I saw a comment on Crunchyroll where someone said “Oh no, she’s Seymour from Futurama” and things couldn’t be any more painful.

Right at the end of the episode, these two Friends from a promotional poster I saw a while before the series premiered finally showed up.

They’re purpose was to give Kyururu some sort of existential crisis (well, not that much) by asking her if her house really exists, why did she made her drawings, etc.

Now we’re finally in episode 10 where Raccoon and Fennec finally appear after being in the OP literally every episode ever (Maybe I was asking for meaning or pay-off way too much), then KABAN-CHAN REAPPEARS and that time she was hella serious because she, the professor and her assistant, found out that there were Ceruleans being spawned from Kyururu’s drawings. Kyururu then made a drawing of literally every Friend she has met, including Pigeon which she just met but wanted to include her, and that immediately screamed maximum danger, as I thought there would be a huge army of Ceruleans shaped like the Friends, this is where things got interesting.

Episode 11, comes this war of Friends vs Ceruleans shaped like them, blah blah blah...

Episode 12 came and NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ENDING!

THE ENDING, I.... TAKE A LOOK AT THIS!

Then there’s the post-credits scene:

Sure, these moments should bring hype and I should be happy that they did this, the Kaban-chan and Serval scene and the drawing, but it won’t work for me, Kemono Friends 2 tries really hard to redeem itself with hype-worthy moments like these, they just won’t make up for this irredeemable garbage.

Now, I wasn’t a douche on watching the entire series, there are some moments that I found genuinely interesting, had some laughs and made me smile (probably out of confusion, I have problems smiling even on inappropiate shit), the models perfectly capture Mine Yoshizaki’s art style, but without disrespecting Tatsuki, at the same time the models feel lifeless compared to the first season’s.

One thing I don’t understand about the designs is that I’ve seen people in 4chan blaming Tomason for the lazy designs and stuff, or something like that because I’ve seen them use “they” and I don’t really think they’re referring to Yoshizaki, they must have been really referring to Tomason, and that’s not true, Mine Yoshizaki does all of the Friends’ designs, and please don’t call some of them lazy, don’t disservice the man.

Then there are also the next episode previews made by Kikuchi Milo featuring the characters from the first season. Because of Crested Ibis’ minor appearance in episode 9, now I kind of wish the Friends from the first season to show up in the series, not just the next episode previews.

There were also two ED themes, which I find it bizarre that a one-cour series changes theme songs.

We never got to learn more about the Beast character though, she was like an underdeveloped Friend and she behaved more like a genuine tiger animal or something, we never get to learn her origin, or even her race.

Boy, this review turned out way better than I expected, I had a lot of fun writing about this soulless pile of trash. I hope the Welcome to Japari Park finale will help me forget this shit, let’s see how it would build up to the first season of Kemono Friends given that it’s a prequel and this is really old footage, I’m sure there must be how the future of the series got set up or something.

This might have been the most brutal anime review I’ve ever written but it’s the truth.

Watch Kemono Friends 3 get announced but inb4 it could be an adaptation of the mobile/arcade game of the same name instead of following the anime’s overarching story.

Though I think if Kemono Friends 3 happens, it could still be a continuation of the anime's story and it has nothing to do with the mobile/arcade game of the same name. It could be a similar situation with Welcome to Japari Park where there's a manga and a short series and they're both totally unrelated.

To conclude this series review, let me just say this:

Kemono Friends 2 is the Pacific Rim: Uprising of anime.

Fall 2018 ongoing:

At last, ongoing anime from the previous season, I wasn’t having this streak lately and it was about time I had it.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind: JoJo Part 5 continues to be strong. There’s not much to add but I got some small things to say: When I’m 4chan threads, seeing screenshots of Part 4 makes me realize that Part 4 is the WORST looking and poorly produced part out of all the rest, thankfully Part 5 looks way better.

Since I was so accostumed on how the characters sound like in All Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven, the new voices have definitely grown on me now.

Also, how does King Crimson work?

Ace Attorney season 2: I genuinely had this post written with JoJo as the only ongoing Fall 2018 anime alone and somehow I have forgotten about Ace Attorney despite still watching the series. I feel like I enjoyed the Bridge to the Turnabout episodes a lot more.

I felt like this second season has genuinely given me a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth unlike the first season, which it definitely lead me to drop the series, but I didn’t drop it completely, I have picked it up again around episode 10 because I felt bad.

Now, let’s start talking about the Spring season, and why is this going to be the best anime season yet? Well...

1.- Kimestu no Yaiba - April 6: I’M SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ONE! Ahem, well, to tell you the truth, I just love being wowed by Ufotable’s fantastic visuals. I’m definitely checking this one blindly, I feel like this is something I should read the manga because I’m starting to feel like it could be an unfaithful narrative mess, and it’s already making me sad. But is Ufotable the type of studio to go off the rails and completely butcher the story? (Probably God Eater as people say but I don’t really see what’s with the hate and why is it offensively bad, I played God Eater Burst long afterwards, though. Call me an Ufotable stan if you want, but I really don’t see any problem with God Eater even when I binged it years ago, aside from a bit of animation hiccups (probably the/my first with (modern) Ufotable having a bit of hiccups) but I don’t mind it, I just enjoyed the way it is; people are gonna tell me this too and I’d be like totally disagreeing their opinions, refusing to seek the reality; I’d love to rush my ass off and read the manga like I did with One Punch Man, My Hero Academia and Monster Musume but I’m just so lazy to do it now, and I can’t read manga with over 100 chapters long.)

I always watch a lot of anime without even reading the manga first, even I don’t read JoJo (Even though I know some of the biggest spoilers from every part through the games) and Mob Psycho 100, but for some reason Kimetsu no Yaiba feels like a huge deal for me, I wish I couldn’t let the opportunity of reading the manga first go to waste, yet, I’m here about to watch the anime. I wish I could have realized this sooner.

Anyways, enough of that insane talk and wouldn’t boost hype confidence, I’m still going to enjoy it regardless how the story goes and the music might be something worth praising because the composers are fucking Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina, animation and visuals are no surprise worth of praise , I’m just ready to watch Ufotable’s next big TV project since Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu. (yes, there was 2018′s Emiya-san chi no Kyou no Gohan but it was a monthly series and each episode was 12 minutes long, so it’s not kind of a big deal; then there’s also the Heaven’s Feel movie trilogy (loved the second movie (even though I’m an anime only, I’m legit scared of Gavin and other kinds of elitists now; even though he unfollowed me)), but like I said, TV project)

As of March 27th, I read some news that Ufotable is under investigation over tax evasion and now I’ve grown way concerned than I was. It may not affect the releases of Kimetsu no Yaiba and even Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel III but I just don’t want to see Ufotable close. After Kimetsu no Yaiba come out, let’s see how Ufotable will do.

Quick update, I HAVE read the first three chapters, it’s relatively solid and given on the scenes I’ve seen in the trailers, I do believe Ufotable is going to make a pretty good job on adapting the series faithfully narratively.

But most importantly so far, I hope Ufotable will do justice this panel! Which I had posted this on my Kemono Friends 2 series review.

Bones disappointed me with the anime version of Mina’s “NO WAY” scene from My Hero Academia, and I hope Ufotable won’t do the same, I want a perfect recreation of that Tanjiro face.

2.- One Punch Man season 2 - April 2nd: I’ve said this before and I will say it again, I’m NOT expecting OPM S2 to be any good and I’m NOT looking forward to it, even if I say that, I’m still going to watch it, regardless, but I’m not very hopeful for the visuals (Man, all I ever care about in anime is the visuals, I don’t give a crap of the story, I just want good animation!).

Since the release date is revealed to be April 2nd, which is Tuesday, I’m going to miss the good old One Punch Man Sundays when the first season came out, but Tuesdays are a good day for anime, so it’s worth it.

Well, I wrote that sentence literally like a day or two, and a new visual got revealed, it looks clean but it’s already not gonna look like that, very S1-like, given the first teaser trailer released. That aside, Viz Media confirmed that it will be premiered on April 9th on Hulu (RIP Daisuki.net), which that’s on Saturday, so that’s close on the good old OPM Sundays 4 years ago.

Actually, I’m pretty split on that information, in one hand, the official Twitter account tweeted the visual with the April 2nd release, but in the other, Viz Media tweeted that it comes out in the 9th and calls it “the same day as Japan” and “ Details and availability regarding the April 2nd special programming in our territory are currently unavailable.”, I’m so confused.

March 18th, the second trailer dropped and somehow I’m kind of alright with it, still not super impressed but at least it’s kind of something. But the biggest let-down is the new opening theme by JAM Project revealed in the trailer which it’s not as great as THE HERO. I’m a bigger fan of the way THE HERO is, I’m probably the more upbeat type of person, and with this? I don’t want something calm, I wanted a more action packed song! I hadn't payed a lot of attention to the editing of the trailer with the black screens, but yeah, it's so bad.

The more I think about the trailer and seeing people’s reactions, I’m starting to think it’s really looking like absolute ass than I previously mentioned, so I couldn’t agree more. But hey, at least I love seeing some of the jokes and memes related to the trailer.

I thought I had to wait until AnimeJapan to drop the trailer but they decided to do it now.

I now understand what’s with the April 2nd and April 9th releases. The April 2nd release is going to be more like an special of sorts and next week is when the series for real starts. It’s the same issue I had with Kemono Friends 2, but that was unpredictable at the time, so with One Punch Man, I can totally wait for next week. (At the time of posting this, the day has come)

3.- Attack on Titan season 3 second cour - April 28th: It’s seriously been like annoyingly forever after the first cour ended in Fall 2018, but I’m finally it’s going to continue.

I still don’t know what took so long, but whatever.

4.- Isekai Quartet - April 9th: From what I see now, this is going to be more like a show with different isekai projects focused as sketches or something, I randomly thought it would be a crossover but apparently it’s not the case. Regardless, I’m still going to watch and enjoy the way it is.

By the time I saw its announcement, I immediately went to binge Re:Zero, I have seen Youjo Senki, Overlord and Kono Suba, so I needed to watch Re:Zero so I can be complete or something.

Since I write this post as time goes on, the trailer for Isekai Quartet has released and indeed it is a crossover like I wanted!

5.- Girls’ Frontline comedy anime short - ???: It appears that we’re getting our first Girls’ Frontline anime and it’s a comedy which it’s even cooler.

The trailer was first revealed on a BiliBili livestream on January for Chinese audiences, then a few days later, there was another livestream taken place in VTuber Nekomiya Hinata’s channel for Japanese audiences, where they showed off the same trailer but one frame of new footage and then there’s a new trailer for another Girls’ Frontline anime, that’s right, we don’t have just one, but two different Girls’ Frontline comedy anime, this one’s focused on the AR Team and 404, and the other one has a variety of T-Dolls featured, but the former is the bigger focus here.

What I find rather surprising about this short anime is that ever since they showed the trailer on said livestreams, there’s no official upload of the trailer, not a whole lot of news sites reported about this, and not even a full release date after two months. I thought there would be more information on AnimeJapan 2019 but there was nothing in sight.

So I guess I’ll have to wait until April to see if this will indeed come out, it could be a surprise release not everyone is going to notice or it might be delayed to Summer. Nevertheless, I’m excited to see this one, and the other one too but I prefer this one with the AR Team and 404 the most.

6.- Fruits Basket remake - April 5th: I never watched the original Fruits Basket and I’ve been seeing a lot of announcements about returning English voice actors and stuff, I dunno why but I’m thinking the remake could be overhyped with all this stuff, but I’m sure it’s still going to be enjoyable for the people who read the manga, who watched the original anime series and newcomers alike.

Speaking of the manga, I wondered why is there a need for a remake now, one of my friends told me that there could be an actual ending of the series since the original anime prematuredly ended when the manga was still going at the time, so I believe the remake might add the manga’s ending or something, I don’t know anything about it but it sounds like a likely thing to happen.

7.- Miru Tights - May 11th: There isn’t much to comment on this one, but it’s interesting because it’s basically Yom the anime. Yep, the man of the thights is getting an anime. Who would knew one day this would happen? Also, it comes out on May 11th, it’s kind of an unusual date even for a web series.

8.- 四月一日さん家の (Watanuki-san Chi No) - April 19th: After Virtual-san wa Miteiru, it seems like the anime industry wouldn’t give up on start making anime with VTubers now.

Unlike Virtual-san wa Miteiru, this one’s not really classified as “anime”, it’s more like a drama as its official Twitter account says or something. Well, at least this show stars Tokino Sora as one of the three leads, so it’ll be interesting. Though I’m not sure anyone would really like to torrent this but at the same time it’d be a waste not to.

9.- Bungou Stray Dogs season 3 - April 12th: I’ve watched the first two seasons of the show in December 2017, then watched the movie in my cinema with my older sister on her birthday, I’m definitely quite a fan of the series, not completely hardcore as I need to read the manga, but I’m fine for now. Anyways, I’m glad there’s a third season happening and can’t wait to see it.

There was originally going to be a Chiitan anime this Spring but it got delayed to Summer. And yeah, you read that right, a Chiitan anime.

HONORABLE MENTION (Since that just happened): Pop Team Epic special: I genuinely forgot a special was going to occur on April 1st (being April Fools), but I’m glad I watched it and still loved it like the base series and now I want season 2.
