CONCERT REVIEW: BRASS CAMEL W/ CHASE THE BEAR AT WISE HALL - MAY 13, 2023
Tumblr media
Chase the Bear and Brass Camel performed at the quirky and intimate Wise Hall on Saturday, May 13th. Tucked away in the Commercial Drive area of the city, surrounded by heritage homes and co-operative housing, the venue is a staple of the local music scene. In a world of mass audiences and global stadium tours, both bands showcased the magic of music engaged with the community.
Chase the Bear kickstarted the concert with blazing guitar riffs and Troy Gilmore’s magnetic, raspy vocals. The bandmates sported trendy retro outfits – a homage to their largely classic rock sound with subtle soul and pop. The band played through their setlist, which included the wild, western-flavoured “Five More Minutes,” the determined and desperate “Underwater,” the spunky and empowered “Quit Callin’,” as well as “Wildheart” – a song of energized longing. Connor Brooks’ drums were consistently confident, skilled, and lively; the beats pulsated through the crowd and into the soul. “It feels like we're in a coming-of-age movie,” I told my friend.
Brass Camel took to the smoke-filled stage with glamour and charisma. Daniel James emerged in a purple suit, white headband, and orange-tinted glasses. The crowd watched in awe as the band performed with their signature steely electric melodies, high-pitched vocals, and vintage synths. The whole scene felt massive and intense, despite being in a smaller hall. The band shredded through many of their released tunes, including the rowdy, sci-fi “Last Flight of the Vulcan” and the bouncy and playful “Dinger’s in the Back.” The melodies and notes had such a beautiful dynamic range in-person. While the studio versions of the songs are fantastic, there’s nothing like experiencing the artistry up-close and firsthand. Fingers maneuvered expertly during complex guitar solos. With each new song, the band transitioned seamlessly and with style.
The crowd was quickly wound up, even starting a mosh pit during the dramatic and feisty “King for a Day.” Brass Camel ended on a high note with the cool, catchy “Pressure Cooker” and jumpy and joyful “I’ve Got the Fox.” At no time was the crowd not bopping their heads or flicking their wrists. Eyes were glued to the stage when James brought out a sleek, double-prong electric guitar. Immediately after the show, the band members ran to work the merch table and connect with fans.
Chase the Bear and Brass Camel teamed up for a high-quality, fun, and inspiring concert. The event brought together a talented group of musicians who don’t get enough credit for the bonds they forge in communities across the country. Sparks were quickly and expertly cultivated and lasted the entire show, the heat rivalling the blistering temperatures of the day.
“So... do you feel brassed?” I asked my friend, as wicked guitar rung out and colourful lights faded at the end of the show.
“I feel brassed,” he declared.

Headcanons and Ideas that Episode “Through the Looking Back Glass” Left Me With
(Long post)
Tumblr media
1. Wandless magic
First of all, every time I see the incident scene, I can't help but wonder about the magic without a wand. I mean the part where Child Cedric performs a spell with his bare hands, when he tries to fix Cordelia's hair.
That got me thinking because (and correct me if I'm wrong) I don't have seen another sorcerer or sorceress do magic only with their hands. My headcanon about this is that some wizards, with a long lineage of magic, can do some spells without a wand.
And, well, it makes sense to me knowing that Cedric came from a long line of wizards.
Anyway, I don't know if doing this kind of magic is somewhat advanced for a child. It caught my attention when Child Cordelia says: "But you can't cast a spell like that, Ceddy. You're too young".
Tumblr media
And then, Cedric shows her he actually CAN do the spell. That, more than a headcanon, makes me wonder if Cedric was a prodigy in magic before losing his self-confidence due to the incident.
And it makes me a little sad thinking about whether Cedric could have had a brighter future if that incident had never happened.
2. Goodwyn being a terrible father
I always found it so unfair the way everyone treats Child Cedric when the smoke serum failed, and even more so, the way his parents let it happen. I know this doesn't even happen in the episode, but I think it's somewhat implicit that Goodwyn didn't defend or at least comfort Cedric. He doesn't even seem to forgive him for his "mistake."
I mean, if your son accidentally hurts his sister, I understand your anger at first. Maybe saying he shouldn't be playing with things he doesn't know or punishing him for his carelessness, perhaps. But eventually, you should tell him it's fine, that you know it wasn't his intention, right? I don't know, something like that, because despite everything, HE'S A CHILD.
Children make mistakes. Cedric's "mistake" was serious, of course. But I think that, as a father, anyone should not let it grow so much that it becomes social rejection. I don't know if I explain myself. But I mean that the way Goodwyn (and Winnifred) handled the matter was terrible.
This brings me to my idea: something was wrong in that family even before the incident. (Explained more in the later points)
Maybe not as bad as it sounds, but personally, I believe something was happening at least between Goodwyn and Cedric for Goodwyn to act like that. I could also say, my headcanon is that Goodwyn had all his hopes and expectations on Cedric. He was going to be his replacement, the new Royal sorcerer, even if he was a child.
I believe part of the way Goodwyn probably reacts and treats Cedric after the incident (I'm referring to all the scolding and interrupting him, as seen in the Mystic Meadows episode) comes from that idea of him disgracing his legacy. Sorry if it's a very basic idea, but this takes me to another point.
3. Goodwyn shit-talking about Cedric
Tumblr media
So, similar to the part before, I think that even before the incident, Goodwyn was very hard on Cedric. For the reasons I explained before, I think Goodwyn put pressure on Cedric to get his spells right and that kind of thing. Because, surely even before everything, Cedric did not meet his expectations.
And one of the reasons I believe this is because of that part when Child Cordelia screams at Cedric during the incident: “This is all your fault.”
Because even if, at that moment, it definitely looked like it was his fault, why was Child Cordelia's first reaction to scream and blame Cedric? Because it's a learned habit.
From nothing more than Goodwyn. A child doesn’t learn alone; they imitate behaviors from their home and environment. He doesn't care to say it in front of Sofia (a girl who shouldn't be involved in it) in that buttercups episode, after all. That’s my headcanon here.
Cordelia saw the way her father scolded Cedric, and then, she learned to do it. The incident was only the trigger, so to speak.
It obviously got worse after the incident.
4. Winnifred and Cordelia Relationship
Tumblr media
I know it was such a short scene and maybe the animators didn't want to make a young Winnifred model, but where the fuck was Winnifred during the incident? It's your daughter's big special entrance; shouldn't you be in the front row to see her?
That was just a thought I wanted to share, anyway…
This episode, and others about Cedric’s family, gave me the headcanon that just as Cedric had a bad relationship with his father, Cordelia had it with her mother.
Maybe not as bad as Cedric with Goodwyn, but something like that. Let me explain my thought. When Child Cordelia needs comfort, she doesn't look for her mother; she runs to her father. (Well, yeah, because Winnifred wasn't there, so we don't know if Cordelia could have gone to her instead.)
I think Cordelia and Goodwyn had a better relationship because Winnifred always had a slight preference for Cedric that only grew after the incident. With Goodwyn and Cordelia attacking Cedric, Winnifred may have felt an obligation to be on her son’s side.
That probably would make Child Cordelia feel like her mother is betraying her. I mean, if your mother tries to defend the person that hurt you (that left you bald), you probably feel angry at her.
Even more so when she spends her time saying he's a “great sorcerer” despite everything he did. You live permanently bald because of him, and he's a great sorcerer? That's totally bullshit. (At least, that's what Cordelia must have thought.)
And, as it seems in “Cedric be good,” she also supports him in anything he does. Even when it’s something bad and a legit crime. I just imagine Winnifred defending Child and young Cedric for everything he did, even if, sometimes, it was really his fault. So, in part, that makes me understand Cordelia's anger.
Yeah, I made a headcanon to understand and empathize with Cordelia a little.
So, probably Cordelia got closer to her dad. I also can see them talking shit about Cedric while doing some activity together, lol. It's like their recreational time.
Summary: Cedric is a mommy’s boy and Cordelia is a daddy’s girl. (Is that expression well used? I don't speak English but I have seen some people use it. I'm a little afraid of using the wrong expressions and having something else understood.)
5. Sorceress/ sorcerer balls are a presentation to magical society.
Tumblr media
Yep. That's my other headcanon. (And I think it's for any gender)
I belive this because of the other wizards we can see in the background. Again, I know it's because it's probably easier for animators to use the same models of other characters, but let’s leave that aside.
These wizards are the same as in the episode “Hexley Hall” during the song the other familiars sing to Wormwood. These people are academics from Hexley Hall and, apparently, very important people in the world of wizards. (Because of the number of portraits they have around the series and so on.)
I think the ball is a way of presenting the new little wizards who will join the world of sorcery. Also, I think that after 10 years old, is the time they enter Hexley Hall. So, it makes sense for people from Hexley Hall to come to these parties to see their future students and members.
I say it's from the age of ten because in Cedric's flashback in Hexley Hall, he already has white locks. Personally, I think Cedric was 8 or 9 during the incident, and that Cordelia is the older sister. In fact, I thought that was canon until I saw some people disputing it.
Anyway, that only makes Cedric's mistake more significant. Because he, in front of the eyes of the most important people in the magic community, looked like a failure. And maybe that's why he had such a bad reputation in Hexley Hall.
Plus whatever he did in his school years.
Thank you for your time! I would like to know what you think about it. I can't believe how interesting a scene that's less than five minutes long is.

With the moon the biggest Ace had ever seen and in such crisp alabaster, it struck him with its true presence as a celestial body rather than an afterthought of a pale disk in the sky. The sand along the island glowed under its light.
He didn’t bother with his flashlight, he immediately spotted the figure sitting on a rock jutting out a few meters below the lodge’s landing, beyond the railing.
“Psst!”
Gia jumped and turned to look up where the voice came from. They gave him a small wave when they saw him.
Ace turned his palms up. What are you doing?
Gia held something in their mouth. Ace thought they were sucking on a stone before they reached into the fanny pack on their side and pulled out a mango. Gia seriously loved mangoes. Gia loved mangoes so much, they’d been tearing through the group’s supply and eventually earned themself a two-mango-per-day limit. One they were currently on their way tripling over alongside the other two he’d helped them smuggle earlier that night.
Ace shook his head as Gia motioned him to come down and instead motioned for them to come up. He didn’t hear it, but he could plainly imagine the huff coming out of them when they waved him off and turned back towards the beach.
“Oh, c’mon.” Ace muttered. He glanced over his shoulder, half-expecting Riddle to be standing there in all his pipin’ teapot tyrant glory.
They were supposed to be in bed, safe in their little pseudo-getaway spot. While it didn’t make a lot of sense to Ace given it was the only man-made structure on the island and might as well be a flashing neon ‘ATTACK US’ sign for Gantu— Gantu never tried. It should have been a riskier move than just roughing it out in the open, but with how things had been turning out so far, Ace was on the same page in regards to it being better inside.
Also, the mosquitoes were driving him nuts.
He looked back out at Gia, still staring off into the ocean. Alright. Fine. If they wanted to get eaten alive out there, then that was their business. Ace wasn’t in love with the idea of having to scavenge tomorrow with a collar around his neck for being caught past curfew. If he slipped back inside now, he could just say he’d gone to the outhou—
“Hey!” The word left his mouth before he had the chance to choke it down. Ace clamped his hand over his mouth and spun into a crouch, trying to discern any sound of movement above his heartbeat. He waited. Ace took a glance at where Gia had stepped off the rock they’d been sitting on.
Now standing on the sand, Gia was looking back up at him. They’d started towards the beach.
Frantically, Ace motioned for them to come back, his other hand still fixed onto his mouth.
Gia only shook their head, pointed at him, then at the lodge. They continued on their way towards the beach just as the mango pit they’d been holding hit the sand.
Ace suppressed a groan.
With not even Grim at their side, there was no way Ace would be able to just crawl back into bed now. He ducked under the railing, climbed off the landing and onto the sand.
It didn’t take him long to catch up to Gia. Unlike their usual speed walk against the imaginary timer they took everywhere and anywhere, they strolled down the beach at their leisure. When he reached them, they greeted him like they’d just happened to cross each other at a mall, “Hey.”
“Don’t ‘Hey’ me.” Ace reached out to block their path, “Where are you going?”
“Beach.” Gia said. They placed their hand on his arm, but didn’t force it down. They simply held it. “Let’s go.”
Ace faltered, “What?”
“For a little bit.” Gia gave their hand a brief squeeze. They had this strange…non-smile. The corners of their lips didn’t curve upward, but Ace instinctively knew they were smiling at him. Something about how their expression seemed so light.
Refocusing, Ace said, “Are you kidding? If Riddle and the others find out we’re not there, we won’t hear the end of it.”
“I told you to stay,” Gia reminded him. It almost sounded coy. Tone variation? From Gia?
“Yeah? What about you?” Ace said, “You can’t be out here alone, Gantu or his bots could be anywhere.”
“Fine.” They shrugged, “Come with me.”
A sigh, born as much out of frustration as it was amazement, left Ace. He scanned the shoreline trying to figure out what about it called to Gia. It was a lost cause. Ace liked to think he was pretty quick on the uptake, but when it came to Gia sometimes he couldn’t begin to guess what went on inside that head of theirs.
“Okay, but only for a few minutes.” Ace said, “And we are not going into the water.”
Gia had the gall to look disappointed.
To be fair, it was really nice out.
Even in this late— possibly early— hour, it was still warm enough to justify their light clothing. The breeze was sea-salted, though not briny, and while Ace wasn’t much for stargazing— stars blanketed the island in an otherworldly surreal technicolor that made them hard to ignore.
Gia produced two more mangoes out of their fanny pack, which at this point Ace was sure had to be enchanted, and gave one to him as they walked along the shore.
They were sweet and refreshingly chilled. He couldn’t blame Gia for wanting to eat them by the ton. They told him about their craving for a sour syrup they called ‘chamoy’ and how just thinking about it made their mouth water. They laughed as they said so.
It didn’t surprise people to find out Gia didn’t laugh often, even when it was just them, Ace, Deuce and Grim— and when they did laugh, it was less a sound and more a subtle shaking of their shoulders. They always hid it behind a fist or turned away.
Maybe they thought Ace wouldn’t hear it over the roar of the waves, because tonight they didn’t bother to.
Much of their walk was silent, though.
Under most circumstances, Ace found silence unbearable. This time his usual urge to break the quiet was nowhere to be found. Even as Gia shot him a side-long glance before stomping into the edges of the waves.
He just rolled his eyes and followed them into ankle deep water. He expected it to be freezing, but found the water pleasantly cool.
“I love it here,” said Gia, throwing their mango pit far into the water.
Something about that came off as strange to Ace. When he thought about it, it was because he was sure he’d never heard them use that word before.
Love.
He was especially sure he’d never heard them use it in reference to themself. That was a whole personal preference they’d willingly voiced.
“I can make it work,” they said.
Ace had followed suit and thrown his own mango pit into the waves. It didn’t splash nearly as far as Gia’s. “You mean staying?”
“Yeah.”
“No way.” Ace said, “It’s nice here for a vacation or something, ignoring the whole ‘being hunted by robots’ thing. But there’s no way I’d stay just to live here.”
“I know.” They said, “You guys would be back in Night Raven.”
Ace studied them for a few seconds, “…And what? Leave you here?”
“Yeah.”
Though he smiled, Ace shook his head in disbelief.
Gia pointed down the path they’d been walking, at the lodge, “That’s built.” They pointed to the fire pit, “I cook. I can build my own fire and I can fish.”
Their hand gestured at the jungle, “There’s water. There’s fruit everywhere. Plus, I finished building a garden around back today.”
Ace remembered the square plot of land behind the lodge sectioned off by a log fence.
“Woah, wait.” he said. “You’re serious?”
Gia continued walking along the water’s edge.
Ace stayed behind, trying to puzzle out what the interaction meant— if it meant anything at all. Laughs were unsurprisingly rare from Gia, but what people often failed to predict was that it didn’t stop them from having a sense of humor.
That’s what Ace assumed it was at this point, anyway. He didn’t know what else to call it. Gia’s idea of comedy was throwing someone a curveball and seeing if they caught it or let it hit them in the face.
He jogged to join them again and said, “Okay, well. What about Gantu?”
“What about Gantu?” Gia notched back, “He won’t have a reason to be here once Stitch leaves the island. Then it’s all mine.”
“You’re just gonna sit here on your pile of mango seeds all alone on your island in the middle of nowhere.”
“I’ll name it: Ogy-Gia.”
Ace settled on his trump card, “And Grim? You know he can’t go back to Night Raven without you. You know Headmage will kick him out the second he knows you’re gone.”
Gia didn’t reply immediately. Their toes brushed over the sand, leaving overturned trails stretching out from their footprints as they walked. Finally, they looked at him with their weird little non-smile, “You do care about him.”
They spun around, walking backwards to face Ace as they spoke, “Grim can stay here with me. He won’t have to do anything. He’ll love that.”
Ace snorted.
“And since it’s just the two of us—” Gia continued, “—that automatically makes him the Greatest Mage.”
“Alright, fine. But then…” Ace trailed off, his hand circling as though he could magically conjure up a reason. A different one he could actually say.
The topic of Gia’s family always made them clam up and Ace learned not to broach the subject. It nipped at him sometimes, though. Even before coming onto the island where the occasional downer thought of never getting off it led to thinking of his own family. He hated the idea of his family worrying about him and he hated the idea of never seeing them again.
But there’d been one time Ace asked Gia about it directly back at Night Raven, when Gia told him outright they decided they weren’t going back home. Don’t you wanna see your family again?
Not as much as I should, Gia replied. He didn’t see them for the rest of the day.
It hit Ace that if they were capable of making a decision like that once, could they do it again? Was it really that easy for them? If family wasn’t enough for them to reconsider, then…
“Then what?” Gia prompted.
Ace shoved his hands in his pockets, “Then I’ll just never see you again, I guess.”
In a single quick step, Gia blocked his path, stopping him short. They nearly bumped into each other. Leaning in with a tilt of their head, trying to get a good look at his face, they asked, “That bothers you?”
Ace blinked at them, then with a dawning understanding he said, “You want me to say I’d miss you.”
Gia had a lopsided sort of grin. It made them look like a whole new person— but Ace knew better now. This Gia was always there. Looking for the next adventure, the next spark of excitement. The one who made things worth the trouble.
“And if I say I won’t?” Ace said.
“Try.”
Ace met their eye, “...You're just playing with me. You're not actually staying.”
Gia glanced at the sky– sharing a knowing look with the stars. This moron. But when they looked back at him, they said, “I'd miss you.” There, see? It’s not so hard.
That was the thing about Gia. When you were someone who didn’t speak more than a handful of sentences at a time, you knew how to make them count.
Gathering all the pride and puff in his chest as he could muster, Ace said, “You wouldn’t have to.”
It wasn’t a real silence that stretched between them. Waves continued crashing against the shore. Ace found himself wanting for something else to break it.
Gia dropped their gaze and huffed. Not a laugh. Not a grin. Not even their little non-smile.
When they lifted their face again, they motioned Ace back to the lodge with a subtle jut of their head.
Ace scanned the sand as they walked back together. Nothing popped out at him. Maybe for the best.
Better for it to stay there than risk him crushing it, too.

CONCERT REVIEW: KATELYN TARVER W/ ROSIE DARLING AT THE WISE HALL - SEPTEMBER 9, 2023
Tumblr media
Adorned with a canopy of lights, the high ceilings and cozy lighting of The Wise Hall were a fitting atmosphere for the Compliments Only Tour. It was an intimate crowd, but one that gave their undivided attention to both Katelyn Tarver and Rosie Darling on their Saturday night in East Vancouver.
I’d been familiar with Rosie Darling since her release “Nail in the Coffin” (with Boy in Space) appeared on my Spotify Discover Weekly earlier this year. Since then, I’d been getting acquainted with her music; therapeutic for both Rosie in her craft, and her listeners. She made her entrance to ethereal nature sounds and immediately invited the audience closer to the stage for opener “Reruns.”
Her music is very chill, singer-songwriter pop with an emotional gut-punch. Many of her songs are short in length, so they’re compact, but memorable. Her breathy edge is distinct in “Say Less.” “Villain” was released a couple of weeks ago, and while it’s aesthetic in sound, its message is even more important. About understanding and finding peace after the breakdown of a relationship, it references blame, responsibility and ultimately letting go. Rosie has a very calming presence as she moves on stage; she’s still coming into her own as a performer, using her free arm to bring in the audience. She’ll clutch at her torso on emotional lines and shut her eyes mid-track, imploring us to feel that ache with her.
Tumblr media
She sang “Nail in the Coffin” (sans Boy in Space) and “Witness.” The latter was introduced as an “older one” given its release in April 2021. Rosie’s keyboardist Mike Nardone (who I believe was also responsible for the programmed beats) genuinely looked like he was having fun, and I loved how her music was able to build in layers but still allow her voice to shine. The piano accompaniment was lovely, especially towards the end of the dreamy “Lost on You.” They weren’t wearing their matching red jumpsuits (or pantsuits) in Vancouver though, Rosie opting for a bronze silkier set; although still a penchant for the hair bow and oversized pajama pieces that give her a comfortable, chic style.
Since the release of her debut EP Coping (Nettwerk Records), she’s released a number of singles and the EP Golden Age in 2022. Her debut album Lanterns will be released November 10 (not mistakenly, a word woven into the lyrics of “Villain”). “Boxes” was introduced as an “emotional one [to] get through together,” and that we did. Her voice as lush and soothing as ever, breaking free from confines and learning to value herself.
Tumblr media
She closed her set with the somber and much underrated “Coping.” Rosie has a delicate voice with a potent, effervescent kick. Her lyrical depth and visualization are notable, and her music feels like both an anthem and a lullaby. I was impressed by how close she sounded to her recorded music; Rosie Darling is one to watch.
Katelyn Tarver had an unassuming entrance; right into the keys for the beginning of “What Makes a Life Good,” before taking the microphone and working the stage. Instantly, you can see her connection with the music and the questions she poses (“Is it taking someone's broken heart and knowing how to fix it? Is it becoming a mother? Is it learning to be tougher?”). This is a prime example of the big picture outlook in her lyrics; they have meaning and are given much thought.
Throughout her set, she shifted between her trusty mic, keyboard, and acoustic and electric guitars. “Cinematic” was soft and sentimental, while “Hurt Like That” revelled in its instrumental breaks (and driving guitar lines). Katelyn had such a comfortable stage presence; she feels the words and music, and in doing so, allows herself to let go and dance. She’s a natural performer.
Tumblr media
The soulful, R&B inflicted “Nicer” makes use of her piercing upper register, while “Shit Happens” is a weighty piano ballad. She spoke about the journey to write “Shit Happens,” in navigating the unforgiving music industry and wanting to make it. It was a special song on her 2021 album, Subject to Change. Katelyn spent time conversing with the audience, showing off her new boots and explaining the concept of ‘compliments only’ starting out as a joke between friends and family. “Compliments are underrated,” she remarked, before providing ones for guitarist Ryland Holland (who kindly steamed her shirt before the show) and drummer Chris Bellew (who was in Canada for the very first time, which she conceded was more of a fun fact than a compliment).
I loved getting to hear my favourite KT song, “Starting to Scare Me,” live. It’s dark and blunt, but has the most incredible rhythm and flow. “Love Alone” was on her debut EP, A Little More Free, circa 2011. She noted its importance as her first original work and having that ownership over her music. This was a beautiful song, just Katelyn and her acoustic guitar. With this song in particular because of its age, I can see her growth as a musician. I’ve seen an older rendition where she sounded more strained vocally to reach the higher notes, but she sings a softer version now that is gentler and uses her warm spirit.
She sang a powerful cover of Paramore’s “The Only Exception” (a song she loves so much, that she recorded and released her version last year), before moving to her new material. “Ignorance is Bliss” was released the day prior. I’d liken it to a bittersweet pop cut that makes us question our reality, and possibly enter an existential crisis. Katelyn reassured that the new music meant she is heading towards a new album, Quitter (Nettwerk Records), which drew cheers from the crowd.
Tumblr media
“One Without the Other” was the missing link for the album to feel complete, while the title track was an upbeat charmer about reflecting on the past, present and future, and living for herself – not for others. I could tell she was excited to share the new music in her first headlining tour. She expressed that gratitude a few times through her set, stating it’s still “weird” to do what she does for a living and put herself out there, but thankful that fans have stuck with her.
Closing with the recently released “Parallel Universe,” she capped the night off perfectly. The use of shakers during the verses added character and I liked the subtlety. There were a couple moments where both the drums and guitar kicked in and I felt like it overpowered Katelyn’s voice (like during “Out of Excuses”), but for the most part, it remained clear and vivid. Her music is both compelling and poetic, and she embodies her stories as a performer.
It was a great night of music at The Wise Hall by two angel artists. I say angels as both were gracious and stayed to meet and interact with fans post-show. It’s by no means mandatory nor expected, but it says a lot about an artist’s integrity and certainly adds to the concert experience to get to speak with the musicians outside of any minor stage interactions. Both were receptive and kind, and I can’t wait until Katelyn and Rosie make their returns to Vancouver.
