The moon drifts overhead in a graceful arch as the hours tick by. Curiously, Anakin doesn't move. He should be looming by now, bent over his new prey to ensure he sees nothing but blood red eyes when he jolts awake from his gifted nightmares, but he stays where he is, lingering at his side.

It gives him the best view of that masculine profile, the slender slope of his nose, the cut of his jaw. He is a demon; he has no need for vanity. Yet the landscape of this thief's bearded face is... pleasant. And Anakin has never denied himself pleasure in all the long millennia of his life.

He can indulge for one night, he decides. Tomorrow, he'll begin the ritual of tearing this man's mental state down brick by metaphorical brick. Tonight, he will simply observe. It's his house, thank-you-very-much. He can do as he likes.

An impressive specimen creeps from beneath the man's bed, sneaking across his sinfully soft mattress. Anakin watches it lazily, reading the spider's thoughts of caution danger predator stay in the dark in its modest, inarticulate arachnese. Eight long legs move in symmetrical unison as it climbs his guest's body like a shivering mountain, over toned arms and broad shoulders.

It's large, by this house's standards. It crawls slowly up the pale column of the slumbering thief's throat, tickling his facial hair, making him twitch. Anakin listens and watches intently as the dark dreams he had graciously bestowed on his new plaything's mind take a different shape, a different color. The violence he meticulously crafted shudders and scatters into a thousand baby spiders, an entire hoard, scurrying in all directions, blotting out his hard work.

Rude!

The spider inches up up up, until at last it rests on the man's sculpted cheek, two back legs brushing against the corner of his lips. Its body is large enough to cover his face from eyes to mouth — a mother, Anakin realizes, likely inspecting their newest intruder much the same way he is — but he is irked by her presence all the same. He has a job to do, here. Those were his handcrafted nightmares she just overwrote!

Irritated, he plucks the offending beast from his guest's face, trading insults through her prosaic language before opening his mouth and swallowing her whole. Immediately the man relaxes, his shivers dying out to calm stillness, the darkness of his dreams swept away to nothing. A neutral, grey mist.

He purposefully does not delve deeper into the satisfaction he feels in that moment. Yes, this man's fear and torment is his ultimate goal, his untimely death an inevitable part of the game. But Anakin himself will be the only one toying with this mysterious stranger in his own house, and if the creepy-crawlies watching them from the shadows don't like it, they'll just have to get used to the infinite liminal space of smoke and flame that is his belly. Serves them right.

Because this man, his newest and prettiest plaything, is his.

Terra is, at his core, a down-to-earth guy. He's kind and caring to others, and prefers to remain modest and unpretentious. He cares more for the pratical and productive things in life than the frivolous nonesense of it all (such as celebrity drama). He focuses a lot on hard work, and as such is a rather patient and honest fellow. 

However, like a big rock or a mountain, it's difficult to get him to budge, as he is pretty stubborn, rarely backing down from a decision or viewpoint he's made unless thorougly convinced otherwise. He's also ridgid when it comes to his schedule, and tends to get agitated or panicked when things do go as planned for him.

9. Most important writing lesson you learned this year?

Reading more really does help improve one's own writing, writing stuff with exact same themes (or even plotline) as previously done is okay and if you want to write it do it, and writing with friends -- even if you aren't sharing your stories -- really does help the creative process and is often much more productive than writing alone even if less total words are sometimes written (thank you word wars in the discord <3)

It took years for her business to take off and hasn’t been easy, not one bit. At times it felt like everyone wanted to see her fail and she has openly spoken about her struggles as not only a entrepreneur but as a woman in this business where no one wanted to take a chance on her

Before she met her problematic friends in secondary, when she was in her pre-teen stage she was involved in the handbell team and in the Color guard but hates to admit it even tho her parents have pics all over the flat

went away to uni for a semester and wanted to join a sorority but the hazing was extreme to the point she was sent to the hospital then accepted? Which led to more trauma in her life so she dropped out

A few years later she decided on online courses and moved out of her parents flat as soon as she could with the $ she saved up and did not leave in the house since it was not safe to smh

Therapy was really helping sis, she felt a lot better and was working on her deep rooted issues mainly the anger and hurt and never really realized how it revolves around her life. She was super thankful for her therapist and reshaping herself

Many didn’t buy it but she knew she couldn’t give that much of a fuck? She couldn’t. In order to grow you got to learn that you have to involve for yourself and not others

She didn’t like the person she saw watching the show back but when she came back to the reunion a part of her hoped people saw some sort of change in her—even if it’s only been a few months since the show then

Sometimes she’ll slip back into old habits, wanting and doing so by snapping on people and blacking out by getting intoxicated and knowing that healing is a process and valuing yourself is the exact same

the fight between steve&tony&bucky was actually one of the best scenes in the mcu in my opinion, especially when bucky's arm gets destroyed (seriously tho, watching the way he pushes tony into the wall, trying to rip off the arc reactor with his metal arm and the fury in his eyes agh i love this scene)

aww zemo deleting the voice message of his wife before attempting to kill himself broke my heart

i remember crying in the cinema watching steve and tony beat the shit out of each other... my friend who's never seen any of the mcu movies before was looking at me like i was an alien

bucky still trying to protect steve by gripping tony's foot i- HE LOVES STEVE SO MUCH

oh when tony lifted his hand to protect his face with that terried look, he thought steve was gonna finish him

"i've been on my own since i was 18" having multiple illnesses, and probably mental ones as well, steve only had bucky on his side. he was the only one who always got his back, making sure he was okay, always protecting him. so he knew he had to do the same. bucky was the best friend he ever had.

soo, this gave me enough trauma for today. i think i'm gonna go cry until the next episode of tfaws.

It had been a stressful week. Moving everything in and getting settled was no easy feat. Especially since you were doing most of it.

Your mother had helped but then worked demanded her presence.

Just like they always did and just like always your mother left with no hesitation.

"Momma."

"Momma!"

You were jumping at the end of your mother's bed. You were going to a museum on a class trip and your mother had promised she would go with you.

She groaned and pulled her sheets over her head.

"Y/N isn't it too early to be up?"

You frowned as you pulled her sheets down.

"Momma you said you were going with me today to the museum"

You mother rubbed her eyes as she processed what you said.

"Oh Y/N you're right. Why don't you get my bag ready and I'll be ready in 10 minutes."

You were buzzing with happiness as you ran to get her bag. She rarely offered to go with you on school trips because of her work.

She was a top writer for a big magazine and was always traveling to get big stories.

As you finished packing you heard a phone ring and then your mother talking. You couldn't hear what she was saying but you felt a sense of dread.

When she hung up she came over the the kitchen and sat at the island and you knew.

"Y/N darling Momma has to go to work"

"But momma you promised"

"I know darling. I promise next time I'll go"

That's what she always said.

You pouted and looked angrily at the floor.

"You always go to work!"

Your mother sighed.

"Y/N don't start. If I don't go then who's going to pay the bills and get you clothes and toys? Do you think it comes from trees? Please be considerate. I make sure you have everything you want and you go and get mad at me"

You immediately felt bad. You may be young but you had grown up to be more mature than others your age out if necessity.

"Ok momma. I'm sorry," you said softly.

You mother kissed you forehead.

"I'll be back soon. I'll make it up to you."

You faked a smile.

You knew she wouldn't.

As you finished unpacking you saw it was dark outside. Your mother wasn't back yet but that was normal. As you got older your mother took on more responsibility at work which sometimes had her go to events late at night.

You sighed. You were all alone.

You felt hungry thought about ordering out. You searched google for something to eat.

There was a (fav food) place a couple blocks down. You decided to walk there and stretch your legs and explore.

You left a note for your mother in case she came home and grabbed your keys.

It was breezy outside. The wind felt nice on your face. You followed the route on your phone as you took in your surroundings.

There were lots of other apartment building and businesses. They were adorned with bright lights and people bristling along. It may have been late but it seemed as if the city was waking up. Cars passed by and there were people talking all around you.

It was nice.

You felt at ease here. You didn't have to act a certain way or be a certain thing out here. You could walk and forget your worries.

You had lost track of where you were going and came upon an old cozy coffee place. The bricks were discolored and some were chipped. The lights were dimmer than the others around it. There was a huge alley next to it and there was outdoor seating. It had string lights making the alley appear welcoming compared to others you had come across on your walk. As you went into the alley a strong smell of coffee engulfs your nose.

You saw that there was a small lounge with trees and flowers surrounding it and there were birds singing on the branches.

You had never seen anything more beautiful.

You found a corner by the wall in the lounge area and sat. There were different colored flowers around you and you noticed a beautiful mural on the wall. It was a an assortment of flowers and trees with bright warm colors.

A young woman came and introduced herself as your waiter.

"I'm Alice. Is there anything I can get you?"

You panicked. You didn't know what to get.

Alice seems to sense this.

"Are you new here? I can give you a recommendation if you'd like"

You smiled. "Is it that obvious?"

She laughed. "Yeah a little. Plus I know everyone that comes here. My parents own the place so I've been here since forever"

"Wow well they have a beautiful shop here. I've never been somewhere so peaceful and beautiful."

Alice beamed. "Well we are very proud of our little corner of heaven here. I'll prepare something for you on the house"

"Oh! You don't have to!"

"Don't worry about it! I have a feeling you'll be back"

"I probably will. This is close to where I live and I'm in love with this alley"

Alice gave you a napkin before going back in to prepare what she called "the best drink ever made". You decided to take a closer look at the lounge.

Out of the corner of your eye you saw a brick that seemed different from the other ones. It was slightly hidden with vines and bushes. You ran you fingers on it and lightly pushed it. It moved easily to the side and you pulled on it and it came out revealing a small hole in the wall.

You sat there for a while before a sudden urge to write came over you. You loved to write. It allowed to to express yourself in a way that made you feel calm.

You took the napkin Alice had given you and a pen from your pocket and began to write.

Flowers.

Trees.

Life may be a tumultuous beach with crashing waves but in this moment I have found peace.

Among the trees and flowers.

Because life may not be perfect but nature is.

It bears not the trouble of the human heart.

I can only wish to stay here forever.

You smiled to yourself. As you reread the words on the napkin thinking it was silly. You heard the door to the shop open and saw Alice coming toward you with a drink and a small plate.

You went to hide the napkin not wanting to have to explain why there was writing on it and spotted the hole where the brick was missing. You stashed it there and shoved the brick back into place.

Alice came to you and presented you with the most amazingest hot chocolate you had ever smelled in your life.

"That is Mum and dad's family recipe. We use the finest chocolate along with a special something to give it an extra kick!" She told you excitedly before handing it to you.

"It smells amazing" you said blowing on it before taking a sip.

It tasted like chocolate silk. Soft warm and rich. It put all other chocolate to shame.

You hummed happily. "This is fantastic."

Alice smiled. "Glad you liked it!"

"You can definitely count on me as a returning customer! Especially when school starts!"

"Oh what school?"

"NYU."

Alice squealed. "Me too!"

"Oh my Gosh that's great! I won't be a complete loner next week!"

Alice went to say something but then your phone rang.

"Sorry I have to get this"

"No it's fine! I better get back to work before my parents yell at me. I'll give you my number and we should totally hang tomorrow!"

"That would be great!"

As she scribbled her number on her order pad you saw it was your mother calling and picked up.

"Hey mom"

"Y/N do you know what time it is? Where are you?"

You rolled your eyes. She was out late all the time so why shouldn't you be able to?

"I'm just getting something to eat I'll be home in 10 minutes"

"I can't believe you went out so late. Something could have happened to you!"

You let out a breath of air.

"Mom I'm fine okay? I'll be home soon. Bye"

You hung up not waiting for her response. You knew you were in big trouble when you got home but you didn't care.

Alice had left a sheet of paper with her number and a little note.

Shopping at 2 tomorrow? :)

You smiled. You were happy to make a friend.

You took out 10 dollars from your pocket and set it in the table feeling bad even though Alice had said it was on them.

You grabbed your stuff and headed back to the apartment.

Your mother greeted you with comments on how stupid you were for going out so late and without telling her. You shrugged her off. It was tiring how she monitored your life. She went off all the time to galas and parties but God forbid you go a couple blocks down to get a coffee.

As you laid in your bed a sudden thought crossed your mind.

The napkin.

You had forgotten to grab it before leaving.

You sighed. You would get it tomorrow. You doubted anyone would find it.
