Are there any comics you were into around when LO was first coming out that you still adore and highly recommend? Any comics you wish got far more attention they they have?

There are several artists I used to love the comics of that went on hiatus years back/the artist doesn't make content anymore and I still look at them fondly (Snakes and Ladders by Mulattafury guts me. I would've loved to see it continue 😔)

So LO was kind of one of the first "webtoons" I got into, and by that I mean I was reading tons of webcomics for years prior to it, but the whole vertical format thing was still very new at the time and I wasn't accustomed to it. I spent a lot of the early to mid 2010's reading manga scanlations and indie webcomics, some of which are still ongoing today (though others unfortunately were never completed):

City of Blank (which is now an Originals series and it's in its final season, please check it out!!!)

Monster Pop (this one is actually really similar in art vibes to LO, it's very pastel and fun! idk if the creator still makes comics but she DOES make eco-friendly plus-sized skirts with POCKETS now!)

AwkwardZombie (i stg this is one of those comics that will probably live to see the heat death of the universe LOL)

A BETTER PLACE (this one was REALLY fun to experience at the time because it pulled off some time travel shenanigans that you literally had to be there to read, you deadass can't read the original pages that got overwritten in the timeline near the end of the story, it doesn't affect the overall narrative at all but it's fun knowing that I was there LOL)

A Matter of Life and Death (this one is pretty much cancelled indefinitely BUT the creator is still an active comic creator and just recently started up a new original project! they also make super cool Jojo fanart and AU stuff if you're into that haha)

And of course there was all the manga that I used to binge like fucking crack LOL Soul Eater, Death Note, Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Yotsubato, Sailor Moon, One Piece, Deadman Wonderland, and those were just like, the well-known popular ones, there were a ton others across varying degrees of popularity that I don't even fully remember the names of now.

On the whole, there was a LOOOOT of stuff I read prior to LO, I used to practically live on sites like Tapas. Some of it's still as good as ever, others haven't aged quite so well, but for the most part, I look back on it all very fondly as it's what made up a lot of my formative years as a webcomic creator :'3 If you haven't read any of these, feel free to check them out, maybe you'll find a new favorite! <3

To clarify,call me Spaide (for now).

I mostly draw my oc's and things related to my oc's. You'll see cool art, gory art, cute art, gross art,creepy art, weird art, and funny art, all in the same style (kinda). But I also draw things from fandoms I like,I'm currently obsessed with Pizza Tower.

I'm working on becoming a comic artist and animator, so hopefully, in the future, you'll see some stuff like that.

Hopefully, in the future, I'll gain a bigger audience like Theodd1sout,Alan Becker,or Piemations.

I'll try to put in some effort even though I'm a minor (but kids can achieve their dreams, too).

Oddballs: A fun filled yet amazing series!

ODDBALLS is a great fun filled show with the main character self James and his crocodile friend Max. Oddballs is a Netflix series created by James Rallison and Ethan Banville .The series is based on and related to James Rallison’s YouTube channel, TheOdd1sOut. In the little town of Dirt, James, a bubble-shaped teenager, has observations on life which encourage his funny complains about  everyday annoyances and takes them to comical heights . Along with his best friends Max, a talking crocodile and a trustworthy partner and  Echo, a girl who claims to be from the future, James’ stupid plans usually end up leading to disaster. This show is in short episodes of 20 minutes, but they are sure to fill your atmosphere with joy and happiness.

HOW DID I FIND OUT ABOUT THIS SERIES TWO YEARS AFTER ITS RELEASE. I've known the comics made by TheOdd1sOut (James) for AGES, but frankly, I had NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS expected a NETFLIX SERIES to come out of it?! No offence, James. It just didn't seem that likely for simple, short, goofy comics like yours to be turned into a whole fricking series, but really, I'M HAPPY FOR YA.

BUT THEN I ALSO DIDN'T EXPECT A TOASTER TO BE A SIGNIFICANT CHARACTER AGAAAIIIN. Like, did James grow up with The Brave Little Toaster as well?! Why a toaster otherwise?! Why a toaster EVERY SINGLE TIME?! It's not as if toaster are THAT POPULAR, right?!?!?!?! I don't have one at home! Many people don't!

Man, these can't be coincidences. I simply refuse to believe that.

TheOdd1sOut Animation Narrative - 2

TheOdd1stOut (James) sits in his childhood room sketching in his room as a kid, dreaming one day of being cartoonist.

We see him progress through middle school into high school still doodling away in his books while being class.

He tells his parents about wanting to be a cartoonist after leaving high school but parents tell him that he would not be able to have a stable income doing that, So because of this he put his passion on the back burner and decided to pursue a degree in Math.

While in college he continues to do comic strips would post them on Tumblr under the name TheOdd1sOut, slowly he would gain a following Tumblr.

James discovers Youtube and starts to post his comics and animations on Youtube and slowly gains a following on there as well,

after 2 years posting on Youtube he gains 100,000 subs and then after that he starts blowing up on Youtube and keep growing at very pass pace and reaches 1,000,000 subs

New webcomic plans are brewing

So like 3 or 2 years ago I have been inspired by other people making webcomics 'n stuff. Stuff like Domics, TheOdd1sOut, and Homestuck and recently I have thought if I can make my own web comic (semi inspired by Garfield 1978 and the examples above) just to try and see if I could. Also I am not really the best at art (as evident by by profile pic) so expect it to look rough around the edges but if you want to stick around to see where it goes I would appreciate it. 13: Elinor Wonders Why

This one is the most underrated PBS Kids shows in my opinion, And i really adore Ari Bat who's my comfort character now!

12: Littlest Pet Shop

This fandom was such a cutesy childhood show based on the toyline of the same name, And my new comfort character from the fandom is ButterCream Sundae!

11: BreadWinners

Although many people hates its extreme grossness and stuff, I found this show funny nowadays, And i love SwaySway so much that he's becoming one of my comfort characters!

10: Pucca

One of my childhood fandoms in South Korean history, And my main comfort ship is Pucca and Garu but in my AU they're such Toric cuties!

9: The Epic Tales Of Captain Underpants

This Netflix show that's based on the comic/novels by Dav Pilkey is very awesome and underrated in my opinion, And i love Mr. Krupp, Captain Underpants, George and Harold very much!

8: Modern Objects (AKA One of my fav object shows along with Inanimate Insanity, Object Havoc and Object Invasion)

This object show's my number 1 favorite fandom that ever existed in the whole OSC, And my comfort character from this fandom is Bucket!

7: Xavier Riddle And The Secret Museum

This is my number 1 favorite PBS Kids show of all time and it really reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes and Peanuts, Also Brad Meltzer is my bab... I mean favorite character from the fandom!

6: Friday Night Funkin'

Although this fandom is really toxic as hell, I really adore the art style, Musical gameplays and the character deisgns and that's why i love making Friday Night Funkin' OC's!

5: Disney Plus' Diary Of A Wimpy Kid

This Disney animated movie fandom is really cool, And i even loved the animated adaptation of "Rodrick Rules" most of all!

4: The Paul Rudish era of Mickey Mouse (AKA The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse)

It's extremely underrated for me and its art style is so hilarious, And that's why Disney Plus is so nice!

3: Monica'S Gang

This one is one of my most favorite fandom in Brazilian history, And i love Jimmy Five a lot that he's becoming my comfort character!

2: The Emoji Movie (Sorry about The Emoji Movie haters...)

I know it's very unfunny and cringy but trust me, I do really enjoy it and JailBreak is now one of my fictional crushes.

Jaiden's friend's bird Baby Jim is good friends with Ari, as revealed in Ari's third birthday video. He also feeds her, but Jaiden has said she can't let that happen too often so they don't get too hormonal. Ari seems to have a very close bond with Jaiden, acting jealous whenever someone else interacts with her, including Jaiden's mom.Īri seems to get along with Tofu well, and he is teaching the quiet bird to be more vocal like he is, much to Jaiden's delight. Jaiden is Ari's rightful owner, and in many of her videos, she pampers him for his birthday, Christmas, etc. He is also fascinated by drawers.ĭespite being a big attention seeker and "jealous little punk", according to Jaiden, he is actually quite shy around new people, trying to physically avoid them on multiple instances. Jaiden says that he sometimes just decides not to like things, some of those things being hair products, nail filers, and Jaiden re-filling his water dispenser. He is likes pushing things of counters and flinging fruit everywhere too, showing that he is a troublemaker. She says that he constantly wants love and attention, and screams when he is not given it. Besides this, he has primarily cyan-green feathers and grayish-black lining of the ends of his wings.Īri is described by Jaiden to be bratty. He has light grey feathers on his stomach and on his cheeks. His gender is unknown, but he is most likely male, due to him having black feet like most of male conures.
