A few tips for new Tumblr users wanting to write here

Yo if you're here from Reddit or Twitter or some other site and just wanted to give this a shot you may have seen some blogs that are dedicated to writing headcanons or short fics or even original works for their own OCs and you may be thinking "hey I wanna give that a shot! I like to write!" then I have some tips to make it easier on you and people who see your content.

1. First off, if you're writing a pretty long piece the you should probably put it under a read more, it'll look like this on mobile

and this on desktop

or you can write :readmore: on a line by itself and press enter.

2. Now if you're gonna write for a whole bunch of different fandoms and you wanna make a master list then I suggest making an actual list with the fandoms you write for and then making more lists with the actual content as a you go along because you can only have 100 links in one post (I know that sounds like a lot but as someone who has around 300 Transformers things written trust me you fill up a post quicker than you expect, especially if you take requests from other people). The way I typically do it is like this

The first pic is the MASTER master list that lists everything I write for and when they're underlined like that it means they're links. The second pic is after clicking the G1 link, it's a separate post that has the actual fics and headcanon links. Note the 6/100 in the tags, this is how I keep up with how many things I've added. You can of course just use the numbers options from here

or just number them manually from your keyboard like I'm doing with this post. Adding links has no barring on what else you add to the post so you can add yourself some fancy header or divider pics if you want.

3. Adding links! Links can look like this https://www.tumblr.com/wingwaver/721887224846778368/test-post-for-reasons?source=share or like this https://wingwaver.tumblr.com/post/721887224846778368/test-post-for-reasons depending on whether you're linking from mobile or desktop/browser Just highlight the text you wanna add a link to and a the little chain will move to the end, click it and paste your url you want to link to and press add link, then press post/save draft/save (whatever the blue button says)

Now you've successfully linked a post to another post!

4. Tagging! To get your fics and headcanons seen to build an audience you usually wanna tag the stuff correctly. If you're posting a fic about Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney then you'll tag it with #Ace Attorney, #Miles Edgeworth, and #Phoenix Wright in the tags area. But it's also a good idea to mention if it's a ship or general fic in the tags too. If so then putting ship names and #Miles Edgeworth x Phoenix Wright and #Miles Edgeworth/Phoenix Wright in the tags will help everyone know this is a ship fic. Tagging with characters or fandoms that aren't apart of the fic just clogs the tags for people looking for content of said characters and fandoms so it's very looked down on here and will likely get some of your stuff reported for spam so only use the relevant tags. Also tagging for triggers can be tricky here because of how fucky tumblr is but please don't tag censor tags. Tagging things like #a**** or #a*use or even #abu$e doesn't work here because people who have #abuse blacklisted will be able to see this content because it wasn't tagged properly. Also if you're writing for OCs or reader inserts it's common courtesy to tag those appropriately too. Someone looking for a reader insert may not want to read an OC and vice versa. Also many people filter those out so try to add tags like #x reader, #*fandom name* x reader, and #*character name* x reader for easier filtering. Also people cruise those tags too so it'll help people who fo want to read that content find your stuff!

This is mult. fandom related and I'm 25 and have been on Tumblr for approx 10 years so I'm not speaking as someone new to either Tumblr or fandom spaces

AITA for reporting art and fic as spam when it's tagged as something else in a tag I'm searching for?

This applies to many fandoms I'm in not just one so I feel no need to list them since it's not like personal beef or fandom specific drama but basically as I'm sure many people do when I want to see fan art or even the occasional fic for my favorite character I'll go into their character tag via Tumblr search, it's one of the few things I enjoy about this website is it's semi functional tagging and search system. But more often and usually lately I've been finding a lot of stuff in say character A tag that doesn't have character A in it, it's a drawing of character B that's been tagged with the main fandom tag, B, and every other main character. I know its so the art or fic gets more views but it's annoying ESPECIALLY if it's fic because not to generalize but fics tagged like that usually dont have a read more either so I have to scroll past this massive block of text that's not only a fic I'm not interested in, but one that's incorrectly tagged for a character I'm trying to find content of so they're the ones I tend to report as spam the most over art which is easier to scroll past ill admit

Even on ao3 it's a feux pas to tag characters that just "appear" if they're not central to the fic so they already shouldn't be tagging any character mentioned in their fic

This USUALLY tends to happen with people's oc posts as well and nothing against OCs they're just not my thing and if I were in the main tag I'd happily scroll by since I recognize their place but just like the other two I'll notice it's just a drawing of someone's oc or their OC's profile and it's tagged with the full main cast, thus showing up in the character I'm looking for's tag

Or character x readers and character A (and C, D, E, F, etc) will be tagged on a B x reader fic, obviously I have no interest in reading a fic like that especially when again the entire cast has been tagged not because they appear in the fic but for engagement

Also I'm not dumb I filter for fandoms so like if the tag I'm in is just "Steve" obviously I know it'll apply to multiple fandoms like Minecraft or avengers since that's a super nonspecific name/tag I'm talking about deliberate tagging within the same fandom

I also don't report the post if they're like "this is my OC his name is James Bond" obviously that's gonna show up in like the James Bond tag which while more specific would not count as spam since that's still a proper tag that would apply, it's the OC's name that just happens to be the name of another character

So, while I don't feel bad because I find these people annoying since they're obviously tagging things like I mentioned on purpose for attention but on the other hand I feel a little guilty because fan art and fan fic is important to any fandom but just, that is one of the definitions of a spam post is something improperly tagged on purpose

TLDR: I report posts in my favorite character's tag as spam when they don't have my favorite character but are tagged with them because they clog up the actual tag with garbage

Rating: G Words: 600~ Pairing: none tags: SFW!, fluff, gn!reader, recovering from sickness, comfort. a/n: I'm feeling **so** sick (have a migraine) and decided to write these while waiting for my sleep aids to kick in.

Ghost: He's very caretaking-oriented and less so comforting. Clogged nose? He gets you a nasal spray and tissues. Hungry? Have some soup. Nauseous? Tea and saltines. Migraine? Turns off the lights and tells you to sleep. It sucks if you wanna cuddle and bask in his warmth because he will make you have the bed all for yourself so you can get better. Nonetheless, he's very efficient at taking care of you.

Price: This man is chronically sick. Not a day goes by where he's not nauseous or got a headache. (He joked about it in MW3, but frankly sounds accurate considering his high-stress job). This means that his perspective is a bit skewed. Will probably ask you "Are you sick enough that it's affecting your ability to work/study?" and when you say yes, will make sure to get you to bed and put a few meds, tissues, water bottles within your reach. Probably won't cuddle or coddle you, but will check in on you periodically and tuck you into bed with forehead kisses and words of encouragement.

Soap: (Is probably the reason you're sick in the first place) Will be miserable with you in bed. Everytime you sniffle or complain, he'll be right there with you, holding you close and grumbling "I ken, bonnie lass" in your ear. Will likely be all over you, hesitant to leave your side for longer than to get you things you need. Doesn't mind that you're sweaty/feverish/weak, he's rubbing himself on you like a puppy that's trying to lick you better.

Gaz: The man is a saint. He'll wrap his arms around you and kiss your forehead and rock you a little bit side to side until you fall asleep on top of him. Won't even complain about your bad breath when you have to mouthbreathe because of your clogged nose. Won't complain when you need to be away because you're overheating. Won't complain when you need all the lights off or the room to be cold either.

Alejandro: Remembers all the home remedies his mama used to use when he was little. 7Up for upset tummies, Caldo de Pollo for colds, loads of herbal tea, and Vicks VapoRub for literally any and every ailment. Will also hold you close, probably sit by your side and hold your hand and kiss the back of it while you groggily complain about how bad you feel.

Rodolfo: Also uses home remedies ^ but is a lot more likely to rush off to the pharmacy (even if it's the middle of the night!) to get you actual medication, especially when you're complaining about something specific like a headache or sore muscles. Will bathe you if you have a fever and feel gross and sweaty. Will spoon you from behind and play with your hair until you doze off.

Graves: Will let you groan and huff about how sick you feel. Probably teases you a bit when your voice gets nasally or hoarse, but will proceed to take care of you. Also whenever you get light-headed, he finds it to be hilarious. He parks you on the living room couch with blankets and pillows, tells you to tell him what you need and gets it for you. Also purposely makes you take copious amounts of Nyquil to knock you out.

König: Subscribes to the German (yes, I know he's Austrian) way of thinking that fresh air (and water) fixes everything!. Your head hurts? "Here, drink Wasser". You have a fever? "You need Lüften, I will open the window". You have cramps/nausea? "You need fresh air. Let's go for a walk. It will make you teel better." He means well and, granted, most of it works!! But my God, man, you don't want to go for a 3km hike when you feel like you're going to vomit.

Here's some world stuff again to start

Schooling goes like, elementary for young kids, until they're about 15. After that it's either Pilot school or high school, though since pilot school only takes new applicants every 3 years, some starting pilots are as young as 12

Body augmentations are common. For non pilots, "replacements" are things you can buy to improve your life, originally created as an option for disabled people. For pilots, there is never a choice. When they sign up for pilot school, they sign a waiver that allows the government automatic consent to replace any part of them to keep them alive

Pilots dont pay for their food, lodgings, or Replacements. Medical too. They pay with their service, since the mortality rate is over 80%. They get a small weekly allowance for amusement spending, and any other money comes from their families

When they retire, there are two payment options. If they work outside the government structure or swear off working with them, they receive just enough to live in their chosen area. Otherwise, they're employed by the government for as long as they are able, and have access to standard amenities with decent pay

Joker (I use the name Akira for him but I usually just say Joker)

So, he's not human. A test tube baby too! He's a mix of human DNA and DNA taken from the monsters they've managed to kill. The "spirit" of the monster he shares DNA with was placed into the mech he tends to pilot most, Arsene

When Wakaba and her team created Joker, they used the most human parts for him. The excess was used to create unit M0N-A, aka Morgana. He acts as a companion for the pilots, and is the mascot for Pilot team 3

Joker was raised by a mix of head researcher Wakaba, and security officers Sojiro and Zenkichi (in the words of Cap, Old Man Yaoi). He was raised as Futaba's older half-brother, and is unaware that he is not human

Goro

An orphan, he joined the Pilot academy to make something of his life, to prove that he was worth keeping. One day he hopes to face his father and show him what he missed out on

He didn't have good sync scores with any pilots in his grad year, his closest to passing mark being a 61.23 with Makoto's former partner Eiko. However, he and Joker broke the national sync record by hitting a 95.89 on their first attempt, making them partners

He did nearly die around that time. In order to save him they used Joker's blood for a transfusion, and now Akechi's body is, doing strange things

He shares a quad dorm with fellow class 192 graduates Makoto and Haru, and class 193 graduate Hifumi. He gets along very well with Security officer Zenkichi, and is fond of having debates with head office staff Sae Niijima

He joined the Pilot academy after his orphanage was visited by a few members of Team 2 (the Persona 4 crew). He really looks up to pilot Naoto Shirogane

Ann

Her parents were against her becoming a pilot. They wanted her to inherit their business, which makes the sync suits the pilots wear. However, she felt a rush when she tried one on for the first time, and she doesn't let anyone stop her from reaching her dreams

She and Ryuji were sync partners in the academy, best friends from kindergarten too. Shiho joined their group in elementary school, and all three joined the academy together. Shiho's sync scores with both of them were just below theirs, and their teachers joked that they'd be the perfect team for a three pilot mech

Ann and Shiho fell hard for each other, and started dating at the academy. They planned to try to pilot at the same base after, maybe even actually become a true trio with Ryuji- so they could be together forever

But of course, the final exam is known for cutting pilot numbers down fast. By killing most and injuring the rest, leaving only the bravest to continue forward. Ann and Ryuji passed, though their training mech went up in flames. Ann had to have her left arm replaced, only up to the elbow.

However, Shiho was less lucky. Barely passing, she lost both legs below the knees. She decided to retire immediately, but vowed to stay by Ann's side even if she continued as a pilot.

And continue she did. Chosen for the elite Team 3, Ann got to stay in Central Base City, and married Shiho as soon as they were able to. She shares a room quad with Ryuji, Yusuke, and Joker

Her ultimate dream? To retire and live peacefully with Shiho, working on making better and better sync suits

Ryuji

Being a mech pilot was always his dream. His dad had been a deadbeat, and tried to hurt him and his mom. A pilot trainee had noticed and swept in and saved them, and ever since it was the only thing Ryuji wanted to do

He grew up besties with Ann, and eventually Shiho. He never minded third wheeling them, they never made him feel left out. His marks were always just barely good enough to pass, but his physical test results were always top of the class

During his final exam, his and Ann's mech caught fire. He lost his right leg, up to his hip. The replacement works well enough, but he always walks with a slight limp. Neither Researcher Wakaba nor Medic Tae Takemi know why, nothing shows up on his tests

He is the pilot that gets along the least with M0N-A, and goes off base once a month to stay with his mom for a week

Yusuke

He was the first student pilot to use a solo mech on the exam and pass. He also came out of the exam whole, since his Replacement eye came from a sneezing incident while he was sketching his precious mech

Yusuke's mom used to work at the Northern Reach base, which is where the infamous Pilot Team 1 was stationed. His art teacher was a corrupt man and tricked his ill mother out of money with the false promise of a new-gen Replacement for her liver

Orphaned once she died, Yusuke nearly killed Madarame in his rage, but two Team one members, Makoto Yuki and Kotone Shiomi, stopped him in time and took him in for a spell

He believes he owes the pilot program for his survival, and joined the academy the first chance he got. He was temporarily sync partners with Hifumi, but they could only reach a 65.20 sync rate. As such both were pushed into the test group for solo mech's due to their otherwise high test scores

Yusuke rarely pilots a dual mech because of this, but he has the most success with Joker (who is genetically designed to achieve high scores) and Haru. The highest sync score he's ever achieved was a 73.95, with Joker

He also is the one who sews on the patches to everyone's bomber jackets. Oh, cause they each have a Team 3 bomber jacket in their mech's colours. Yusuke made team 3 patches, as well as any other patches his teammates wished for and sewed them by hand

Makoto

A second generation pilot! Her father and mother had met through the pilot program, him as a pilot and her as a researcher, and they had Sae as, an accident. They were both young, maybe too young. It did keep him out of combat for a few years though

When their first daughter was about, 12-15, you know, pilot age, they found out they were having a second child. Sae didn't want to be a pilot, but she wasn't pushed that hard because well, her father was going to have a second chance for a legacy now

However, the mother didn't make it. Makoto was born during the first monster attack on Central Base City, and the complications with the birth meant only daughter survived. It was devasting for her father, but he sat in the loud, flashing hospital hallway with his baby daughter, his oldest tucked into his side and shivering, and promised to dedicate his life for their futures

With her father focusing on piloting, Makoto was mostly raised by her older sister and said sister's girlfriend, Tae Takemi. Still, she looked up to her father almost too much, and knew she was going to be a pilot no matter what

Even when he died. Even when Sae tried to rip up her pilot school application. Even when she legally died for a few minutes during her final exam.

Before the exam though, she was top of her class in all categories, competing for top spot with Goro. She was dating her sync partner Eiko, was good friends with another pilot named Haru, life was good

But you know. Her partner died during the exam, and Makoto nearly did too. Their mech shorted, sending electricity right through them, and lots of it. Makoto's heart was, well, fried. But Tae and the medical team got her in and successfully implemented the 22nd functioning organ replacement

She didn't retire though, and was paired with Haru and placed in Team 3. She always feels, less than human, and fears she'll lose her humanity without her heart

Futaba

Daughter of the lead researcher, Futaba was around mech's her whole life. Her mom is still alive! And she's doing great. She didn't want Futaba to be a pilot, but she also knew she couldn't tell Futaba no and expect her to listen

In her exam her copilot died, and her spine had to be replaced. They were, crushed. Literally. Futaba won't let that stop her though, and wants to keep pace with her big brother Joker

She is unaware that she shares more blood with her brother's partner than her brother

Both she and Makoto's Replacements require monthly check ups, whereas everyone else only has to go in every 3 months

Futaba has. Something, with Sumire. They were made sync partners when they were assigned Team 3, but there's. More. Neither will admit there are feelings involved though, so it's. A work in progress

Haru

Daughter of the owner of one of the big companies that fund the pilot program, Haru entered as a secret. Her father only found out when she was accepted, and by then it was too late to turn back

She was fond of her first sync partner, but from day one she was in love with Makoto. She was fine with the way things were, and kept trudging on. She was going to be a pilot, she was going to help

In fact, she was pretty damn good. Haru was one of few that survived the final exam without needing a replacement, yet her partner still retired. She was paired with Makoto when they were placed in Team 3, and it was like a dream come true. Only, her partner is as dense as a concrete wall

Oh well. She's already waited ten years, what's a few more?

Sumire

One half of the former Yoshizawa strike team. She and her twin sister Kasumi had record high sync scores, and were on track to be the best pilots of their generation.

You can probably guess what happened.

The final exam. Their mech was sliced in half, the core exploding from the stress. The left side was completely destroyed, Kasumi along with it. Sumire survived, barely

Her left arm, leg, part of her shoulder, some ribs and a chunk of hip were all replaced. She also feels like half her soul was ripped out. She did t retire though, vowing to be the best, for her sisters sake

Paired with Futaba on Team 3, there's. Something there. Along the lines of, friends with benefits? Maybe. Kind of. They're being, selective with the whole thing

Hifumi

And finally Hifumi! She payed for a brain augmentation, a processing chip, to be placed in her brain. So she can think and plan a lot faster, but she's still getting used to the whole thing

I don't have much for her compared to the others, she's otherwise full human and tends to be sent out the least of the Team 3 pilots

Like seriously. I started this blog in mid-2019 cuz I wanted somewhere to put my doofy LIS incorrect quotes that wasn't my main cuz I didn't wanna clog it up too much. (Which is a bad way to think about your main, but I digress.) I did not expect to get like a thousand followers over the course of a year. And now 2 thousand, even though I've been posting very sporadically over the past couple years now.

I love Life Is Strange. I love it with my whole heart. And I know it's going to break my heart, which is probably why I haven't actually played BTS yet, and why it took me three years to replay the first game. So I guess I try not to think about it. And that's probably why I don't post as much here as I used to or as I'd like to. I still love this fandom, but I haven't hyperfixated on LIS in a goodly while.

I've got projects that I've promised you guys, and some I haven't, and I want to follow through and complete them or at least post what I have of them. WAIT HOLD ON I DID HOST THE THING ON THE PLACE I've gotta find that old post hold on. But before that I'm gonna finish my thoughts here.

I'm working on a lot of things simultaneously, and right now I'm working on a really big non-LIS project that I want to start posting in a couple months. So yeah. Take my excuses as you will. But I promise, I promise with my whole heart, that I will not leave these projects unfulfilled.

all i'm saying is that some people have a different interpretation of what leon is like and that's not like what he's being portrayed on majority of the fics on this tag.

i do write for leon, not on this blog but on ao3 based on what i interpret him to be like, but i'm just disappointed that 4 in 5 fics on this blog is something related to weird age gap/ddlg/stepcest fics which doesn't sit right with me.

obviously I don't read them, but it's just frustrating to find nothing that you personally like (something that's not the vast majority of fics on here) and i was merely expressing my opinion on the matter.

i wasn't exactly expecting attention either, but i believe that this was the right tag to post it on, since it's relevant to whatever is being talked about on this blog.

seeral other blogs have brought it up too, and unless you've been reblogging their posts too, i'd like to know why you interacted with mine, considering you've said that i dont have to interact with blogs that i dont like.

i apologize for assuming that you don't write for leon. it's genuinely cool that you do, and i'm glad that if you're engaging in this discourse (which i do wish was over) that you do actually care about the fandom.

that being said, the reason that i was upset was because your post was very similar to quite a few other posts in the past - most if not all of which were from people who were primarily in other fandoms/blogs created entirely for the purpose of engaging in this argument - and this discourse in the past has caused harm to dark content writers in the past (they've received death threats, racial slurs, etc.) and even if you had no intention of creating a hate campaign, these kinds of posts attract people who do harass others and will start this shit back up the moment they see an opportunity.

within this discourse, people on both sides have been asking people to stop clogging the tags with discourse like this so that's why i was pissed off that you put your post in the tags. i only tag my smut fics with the smut tag. when i'm talking about smut in a meta way, i won't clog the tags with it.

i agree that not finding what you want to read is super frustrating - despite having written certain dark topics, it's not what i seek out as a reader (i really like angst personally, and i don't think there's enough in the fandom, but that's why i'm writing a long angst right now!)

if you'd posted something like: "i wish there were fics with 'x' topic in leon x reader fics" and had just kept the convo on what you do wanna see, i wouldn't have been upset, and in fact, maybe i would've agreed with you. maybe then we could have all given each other recommendation of non dead dove smut or non smut fics!

but you posted that you're 'tired of being bombarded' by these fics and 'it's sickening', which reads to me like "i don't want these fics to exist/be posted to this website" rather than "i don't mind if people enjoy them, i just prefer something else". see what i mean?

people definitely have differing opinions of who leon 'is' as a character, but i don't think it's a crime to write him ooc. i don't think he's a sweet cinnamon roll man, but i also doubt he'd commit sex crimes. having the characterization conversation amidst the discourse about dead dove content can only cause drama especially when i think there's a lot more nuance to leon's character. most people who bring up the "he would never do that" argument, want to have these fics taken down.

i would also like to point out that i see a lot of people conflating different topics - stepcest is morally and legally wrong, so is incest and noncon. ddlg, because, by definition, it is a dynamic between two consenting adults, is not a crime, nor is it an issue - i don't personally engage in it irl and don't plan to, but if someone else wants to, that's none of my business. age gap is a completely different thing because (presuming we're talking about legal age gap, bc underage is morally and legally wrong irl) an age gap isn't something reserved to smut, some people just date people that are older or younger than them. who cares?

i have actually interacted with other people who have posted about this and given them the same attitude, so no, you're not the only (again, i don't dislike you as a person). i am, quite frankly, over it, so i'm more likely to try to shut this shit down before it goes any further whereas i used to ignore it more. and ik that might just cause people to want to argue more but i'd rather be the target of the hate campaign than other people - i'm tired of watching my friends get harassed over shit like this.

my question for you is: did you make this blog to argue about this? you said you post on ao3, but do you have a separate tumblr or did you just make one to argue? (you can see why it might seem like someone is seeking attention when their only post is rehashing the old argument that has garnered attention in the past)

STARTING MY TUMBLR RAMBLING JOURNEY!!!! (Spoilers for TFP)

TRANSFORMERS: AFTERMATH

This AU consists of three main archs (with a fourth being planned for the future) :

-Prologue

-Aftermath

-Lost Light

- (Earthspark)

I'm still thinking of an acronym for my AU but I'm thinking it might be TFAM? idk,,,

Prologue follows Atlas! My very obvious self-insert OC (lol). He's a human who was saved by Optimus then basically adopted by Team Prime. He gets kidnapped by Starscream (who uses him as a bargaining tool to get back into the Decepticons after getting kicked out because of his shenanigans) half way through the story and learns about the war from both perspectives, and learns a lot about Starscream.

Well Starscream realizes (with some Atlas therapy) that Megatron kinda sucks when he's on Chaos Lean so he should dump his ass, and basically gives Atlas back to Optimus, which almost gets him killed and he goes into hiding. (It's much more dramatic, I can always write short stories for these scenes if anyone is interested.)

Everything in TFP (except the parts with the OG humans cause I cut em out) happens as usual.

But Atlas is on Earth, and realizes, "Shit, if these guys go back to Cybertron, I won't have anyone..." So he says FUCK IT, ROBO TIME.

He then spends the next five years (between TFP and the movie) building a body. He uses parts from a vehicon, (not Steve don't worry), Dreadwing, and car parts from an old 1998 Subaru Impreza he found in a car dump. Using Shockwave's tech, and some help from Ratchet who begrudgingly agreed to help him, he basically Frankensteined himself into this body and became the first artificial Human/Cybertronian crossbreed? thing.

He cleans up some loose ends on Earth (mainly evidence of his existence and some evidence of the Cybertronians' existence) then GOES TO THE MOON (with wheeljack, who picks him up and then takes him to Cybertron)

He learns that RATCHET DIDN'T TELL HIM THAT OPTIMUS DIED and he's sparkbroken :(

Ratchet was too though, Optimus and him were low key husbands.

Then we have AFTERMATH!

This was a dnd campaign I ran with one of my friends, I only had one actual player, who played Pierce-tail! The last of Shockwave's predacons, who he made to be a guard-dog for a small bunker he was hiding in on Cybertron after Megatron surrendered. The story follows Pierce-tail, who has mysterious magical powers that nobody can explain, and his fight to save Cybertron and Earth from Shockwave and Tarn, who've teamed up to rebuild the Decepticon army and colonize Earth.

Spoiler alert, Pierce-tail kills Shockwave and fights Tarn to the death and kills both Tarn and himself by literally exploding due to his powers overloading his frame and turning his spark into a nuke.

And then we have Lost Light!

Rodimus (Who was cryogenically frozen for a little while and didn't know the war ended), Ultra Magnus (who was retired from being Cybertron's ruler because he got too power-hungry and racist) and Megatron (Who's taking extensive therapy and learning to be a good leader and prove himself as a worthy member of society with help of Atlas) take a crew of 40 members to find the LOST KNIGHTS OF CYBERTRON!

(It's basically a big dating sim for my three players.)

I'll do big plot updates on what happens in TFAM: Lost Light, but anybody who's interested in this AU, feel free to ask me any questions, I love getting asks! They make my day :3

Okay, so I've noticed this trend in SK8 fics that kind of bothers me, so I just wanna get my thoughts out there.

I personally headcanon Reki as asexual and Langa as aromantic, and I like the idea of them being in a qpr, so I did a search on Ao3 for works with the appropriate tags to see if anyone else had written for that. I did find a few works that I really liked, but unfortunately for my search, a lot of the works to come up were being tagged for aroace Miya. Now, I wanna be perfectly clear. I have absolutely no problem with an aroace Miya headcanon, or with people writing for it. The problem is, it seems follows this trend that I noticed in a fandom before. Which is, a character being headcanoned as aroace not because of canon characterization or a desire to just write a character you like as aroace, but to keep them out of shipping.

To be clear again, I'm not saying I want everyone to suddenly start shipping Miya more. But this mentality bothers me for three main reasons.

It clogs up search results. Most of these fics tagged with aroace Miya aren't ABOUT Miya being aroace, or even Miya in general. He's a side character to the main pairing, and his sexuality is just thrown in there. While this isn't BAD, it does mean people filtering for aro or ace fics will get a fic about a traditionally romantic pair instead of what they searched for.

Aroace characters can be shipped?? Unless it's explicitly canon that a character is aroace and has no desire for any sort of partnering, aroace headcanons could be about all sorts of places under the umbrella, including those who experience some sort of attraction, or who want to have a partner. So if the goal is to keep him out of the ship sphere, being aroace doesn't do that.

Just. Don't ship him with anyone. It's that simple. If you don't want to pair Miya with anyone, don't do it. You don't need to make him aroace in a way that doesn't actually explore aromanticism or asexuality.(That's not to say that every time a character has a marginalized identity, the story needs to thoroughly explore it to justify it being there, this is just talking about patterns in the community, not any one fic in particular.)

I guess if anyone reads this and cares, my request would just to be put side character barely-even-mentioned aroace Miya in the notes instead of the tags. It's frustrating to be looking for fics exploring aro or ace themes and finding something else.

And. I mean. Just. You don't have to make a character aroace to keep them out of shipping. He's like 13, it's not like he's dating anyone anyway.

Occasionally. Mostly for ooc stuff that doesn't seem like it should be reblogged. I'm really not sure what would change how often I replied to things. I don't mind other people replying to rp threads occasionally, but again very occasionally because I don't want to clog up notifications.

If fishing for interactions is sending in asks then pretty often, though I rarely fish for compliments. I also reblog a lot of starters. If you want to partake, the best advise I can give you is not to hesitate to throw in an ask, or reply to that open starter. Nobody's going to get mad at you, and they likely don't realize you want to interact unless you make the first move. And more often than not, you'll get an enthusiastic yes.

Smut and romance. I don't particularly care for either. Everything else, I enjoy just about as much reading as I do writing.

I have a backup of my blogs on my computer, and most of my threads are archived on rpthreadtracker. I still go back and reread some of my earliest threads either because the interaction was just really good, or other times because I need to refresh on a piece of lore that started in that thread.

Mostly starter memes? Or some times from real life events. I also am thinking about Ed and imagining him in situations almost all the time when I'm not focused on something else. I find that going for walks helps get ideas flowing. My mind tends to wander when my feet do.
