"I sense you're upset with me."

Anders scoffs, applying a generous amount of healing salve onto Alexander's hand. "Upset doesn't begin to cover it," he replies, wrapping the deep cut with his bandages. "I just--" he frowns deeper, as he continues to unroll the bandage along his arm, already cleaned and disinfected. "I can't believe you'd still resort to blood magic. Even after all the danger you've seen it do!"

He grabs onto Hawke's other hand, as he starts to clean that up, as well. "What demon talked you into this? Is it that much more important than what we're fighting for?"

Alexander sighs, wincing from the cool sting of whatever disinfectant he's concocted this time. "There was no demon, I keep telling you. Surely you're aware of how many blood mages there are in Kirkwall-- you can't take five steps without finding someone's notes on it." He squeezes Anders's hand when he (unexpectedly) looks unconvinced. "I know what I'm doing."

"I really, really hope you do," Anders replies, and his frown eases up-- turning less into anger and more into concern. "It's not the only thing I'm scared of. It's just... the Templars. What if they decide it's too dangerous to have a maleficar as Champion? If they decided to make you Tranquil?"

He doesn't notice how hard he's gripping Alexander's arms until the man himself is gently prying him off, sitting him down. "That's not going to happen," he reassures him, gently brushing his hair away from his face.

"It could."

"It won't."

Anders breathes out a frustrated noise. "Hawke, I'm serious. And what if you bite off more than you chew? Your wounds get more and more grievous every time you do this. Eventually it'll be too much, even for me, to help."

He… had a point there. Alexander remembers that one spell he'd casted on a whim. It was devastating, and it had saved their skins-- but he was pretty certain he'd lost a few inches of intestine pulling his staff out of his abdomen. Anders did not like that.

Ever since then, he's gotten pretty good at knowing when to stop, but fights drag on to the point of overextertion sometimes, especially with the growing tension in the city. He offers Anders a sheepish smile.

"I'll… take it under advisement."

"Please." Anders stands back up, as he gets started on Hawke's more minor wounds. Smaller cuts from daggers and light punctures from where arrows had been slightly embedded in his armor were a little easier to manage than full lacerations, at least, and so it doesn't take much longer for him to clean and wrap his torso.

"There, all done," Anders says, as he steps back to seemingly appreciate his handiwork. "I'd rather you be more careful, though. I did the best I could, but… if the pain comes back, just see me at the clinic."

"Good as new," Alexander remarks, rolling his shoulder to test the waters. He offers Anders another gentle smile. "What would I do without you?"

That gets him to smile, at least. Hawke feels like he hasn't seen him do that in three years. Even now it's only barely there, like he should genuinely be thinking about what he'd be doing without him.

Anders takes a step closer, standing in between his legs. He gently cups Alexander's face in his hands, before dipping his head down and kissing him slowly.

"You'd never know. I'm never leaving your side."

i'm begging you guys to start pirating shit from streaming platforms. there are so many websites where you can stream that shit for free, here's a quick HOW TO:

1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online

2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links

3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)

4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)

In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)

you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)

doing these things with anything I create for fandom, such as meta, headcanons, au nonsense like 'texts from the brodinsons,' etc

doing any of the above with the purpose/intent of plagiarizing my work or passing it off as their own in any capacity

Were you not a beginner once? Did you not write crack fic or self indulgent things for your own entertainment?

Maybe don't speak that way about your fellow fic writers? Just because some fics aren't as polished as others, or involve fetishes and tropes you don't enjoy, or are not the style you want your fics to be doesn't mean they're trash.

It's a horrible thing to say and beginners are going to be discouraged from writing knowing that their fics might be considered trash because they're just starting out.
