It’s late at night and they are both lying in Buck’s bed, cuddling. The room would be completely dark if it weren’t for the light coming through the window.
Buck is curled up against Tommy, tucked up beneath his chin, enjoying the feeling of Tommy’s fingers running softly through his hair.
The silence is comfortable, and they are simply basking in the moment. Buck can’t remember the last time he felt so good and happy. But that’s just how Tommy makes him feel, how he has felt since that first world-changing kiss.
Buck curls in a little closer, and props his chin on Tommy’s bare chest.
Looking down at him, Tommy moves his hand away from Buck’s hair and gently places it in his jaw, with his thumb tracing Buck’s bottom lip.
After releasing a shaky sigh, Buck presses a kiss into Tommy’s chest and then leaves a trail of soft kisses all along his collarbones, up to his neck and jawline.
With his lips hovering millimetres away from Tommy’s, Buck tenderly asks him,
“Can I keep you?”
“Only if I can keep you, sweetheart,” Tommy replies, smiling and looking at him adoringly.
Feeling happy beyond belief, Buck leans down, closing the small distance between their lips, and they kiss passionately as if it is the last time that they will get to kiss each other. But as Tommy roams his hands over the muscles of Buck’s back and shoulders, pulling him closer to his body, Buck thinks that this, them together, might be for forever.

Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac is SUCH a locklyle song.
BLUE GREEN COLORS FLASHING??!!
"I spoke softly now. “It’s me. It’s Lucy....”
I like to think it was just coincidence that Holly laid the silver net over the Source right then. I like to think it was the sound of my name that brought him back. Who’s going to tell me otherwise? Either way, the twist of smoke rose up and up, and bloomed across the surface of his eyes. Intelligence came with it; intelligence and recognition—and something more than that. He smiled at me."
-The Empty Grave, Jonathon Stroud.
TURN AROUND AND SEE ME RUNNING??
TELL MYSELF YOU NEVER LOVED ME??!!

the thing I really love about tbosas is that you go into the story thinking you know who’s the songbird and who’s the snake but “songbirds” and “snakes” are both plural because as individuals Lucy Grey and Coryo are both a songbird and a snake in their own right, in this essay I will
