I thought he lived above the diner, why was he walking in the early morning and opening up the place?...You know, maybe  it was an early morning walk...Maybe he was coming from Lorelai's house where he was in the bushes... I thought it worked for the scene for sure...Why is he walking on down the boulevard, keys swinging his keys? [Am I messing this up or was there a scene where you were waiting for her?] At night? [Yeah, outside your own diner.] Yeah, what's that about?  That's very dramatic..becuase it gave me the opportunity to act this finality of that moment and sort of go in and give up and lock the door. So that was more important than nosy continuity annoyers. You know... [And how did you feel when you realize she painted the whole place?] He had already figured out that they had done the deed right. She's already told him that.[In not such a direct way. But that was when she was in the pajamas.] He put two and two together. That's a that's a tough one. I mean, yeah, I recall really struggling with it because it's like, and you know, I mean, you talk about being at the bottom of of your feelings, there in a situation. Mean, good God, how devastating that you know he came back and they slept together and he knew it, and it's just...[Yeah, it's rough because it was right as Luke and Lorelai were having that that moment] And then and then he comes in. It's painted or halfway or three quarters painted, and it's maybe all done.... Yeah, I had to play all that stuff. So it's like grief and devastation to acceptance to.. It's like I had to go through the five stages, but it's like in reverse, like, hey, there's there's there's still some hope here, I mean, poor guy...But now he's got to deal with the fact that she she went there with him, you know, so there's that the residual effects of that that are you known, have to clean up that mess because that's going to psychologically be I mean, it's devastating. It'll take a while to get back to you know. Now now I think it puts her on different footing where it's like, okay, you know, this train was going in in the right direction and it stopped and now it's going backwards, and maybe it's the train is taken out of service using a train analogy. I swear I won't use a tunnel. There won't be a tunnel on this analogy. [She says when she's there in the pajamas, we had a date, and Luke says, it wasn't a date, it was it was just a thing.] He's he's downplaying it already. It wasn't ... The walls going up. ...And I also think he's it's like, you know, he's judging. He's being hard on himself too, because like, guy, get in the fight, get in there and get with her, close the deal. What do you know she's moving fast with like all these guys, get in there, you know, be meaningful in her life, be impactful. So it's like it's it's it's yeah, I'm sure he's hurt, but it's I think it's really a wake up call. It's like, this is life and it's moving a little faster. And she's from Hartford and she's a country club chick and you know she wants more than I have. You know that I have to offer maybe, so it's like, get in there and fight for her. -Scott

he knows what all of them are up to; he still writes to flertom and she sent him his neckwarmer, so that to me implies that they at least have a somewhat positive relationship?

its more ambiguous with meijack and puckpatti, but since meijack is also a picklock, i wouldn't be surprised if he taught her himself, considering how trades are often passed down through families, and because he talks about sending people to her if he dies.

also the way he talks about puckpatti is very like... it's obvious he wants her to take things more seriously, but he's accepting, and his tone here reads more fond to me than anything else.

like, he keeps his daughters' old toys under his desk? that doesn't scream 'deadbeat' at all, it screams 'empty nester' who doesn't know how to reach out or is scared to do so

EDIT: i know a lot of the 'deadbeat dad' stuff is jokes, but some people are Not joking and genuinely think chilchuck is a bad dad. this post is not saying that you cant joke about it; it is just outlining what canon shows regarding his (clearly positive) relationship with his kids.

the thing that pisses me off about the minecraft movie is how boring it is (or will be). people have consistently proven that complex stories and ideas can be conveyed through minecraft, with it not just acting as a backdrop- instead we get jumanji: block edition and it’s so annoying. minecraft is a beautiful game that has brought so many people together, that influenced countless childhoods, and this is what we get? i’m pretty sure it’s going to be the same plot as fucking angry birds.

this movie is taking all the momentum that countless creatives have provided to minecraft for 15 years and acknowledging NONE of it. you can have your opinions of mcyters but at least they have the guts to tell a story.

fuck, maybe my expectations were too high- but it’s hard to not expect more when we consistently got more from way weirder sources. things like stampys lovely world, the fallen kingdom saga, dantdms lab, hermitcraft, the dsmp and qsmp, genuinely every minecraft let’s play has SOME form of story- it’s just disappointing to see mojang fail to create a better story when they’ve had so many examples.

the world has MUCH bigger problems right now, but it’s still upsetting- i was born right in time to grow up with minecraft. and while im not surprised, i am disappointed.

ok but seriously, thank you all so much for all the support. i never really. expected to make it this far? like, ever?? i’ve mentioned it a few times on here, but i’ve been a lurker for the past… 2 years, i think? and even before that, i never gained much traction outside of a couple posts. so this has been. very new to me!! in a nice way!! it’s weird to feel like an actual member of a community!! that people know about!

the idea of finally coming back to social media was Daunting (i literally got stress hives writing my first post lol) and the warm reception really. meant a lot?? i don’t think i would’ve ever gotten the courage to come back if i hadn’t been encouraged to by the people over at the isat discord!!

the fact that people actually care about my art still doesn’t feel real?? seeing people take inspiration from my art is just. surreal. just. auagssh. thank you all so so much for everything, i really do appreciate it!!! i’m really glad to be in this community. sorry if this all sounds sappy and long winded i’ve just got a lot of emotions about this whole thing!!

someone probably said this already but in spiderverse i think it's interesting how when pavitr was first introduced everyone thought something bad was gonna happen to him bc of how confident and optimistic he was. and then in the actual movie we see that something bad was supposed to happen to him (police chief dying!) but it doesn't! miles stops it! and miguel berates miles for this, says it's going to cause the universe to collapse or whatever.

there's this idea that tragedy is inherent to spidermans growth, and while it's true that some spiderpeople learn important lessons through loss, no one stops to ask, is it really necessary? yeah, maybe the chief was supposed to die. but why does spiderman have to be formed through tragedy? why do we (as heroes) have to let people die? pavitr didn't lose anyone, and he's still a good spiderman! maybe, if he doesn't suffer, he'll end up better off for it!

so while miguel is arguing for all this big picture stuff about saving the multiverse he's lost sight of what it really means to be a spiderman, he's not looking out for the real individual people. yeah it's just one person who would die, but that one person means something to someone. shrugging and saying "stuff just sucks sometimes, we can't do anything about it" is the opposite of what superheroes do. pretty obviously, miles arc is also a reflection of the struggles people face in real life, working within unequal systems, where it's easy to shrug and say "that's just the way it is" and not ask "but why does it need be this way? can't we do something about it?"

miguel is arguing that you can't have your cake and eat it too. presumably, miles and co. are going to find a way to get around that and change things for the better (and maybe that's why miles has that line about two cakes in the advisors office!)

idk if this is accurate but i’ve felt like in previous seasons riz & gorgug have been one of the inter-bad kids dynamics we’ve seen the least of & this season has been so great in that aspect. gorgug having helped make some of riz’s magic gear. riz helping gorgug with his studies. the shared birthday party. gorgug’s gift to riz being something he himself made to protect riz. riz’s gift to gorgug being something he illegally grabbed to protect gorgug. gorgug who utilizes rage to put his body on the line for his friends & riz who will take deep levels of mental stress for his friends. even though it was within the context of a joke, riz calling gorgug an “absolute sweetie.” like yea they might not be in a band together or both part of a presidential campaign team or owlbears teammates, but they’d go to war for each other, because they’re best friends.
