Contrary to Fitzroy’s claims, I rarely see a woman get to be so fallible in fiction. She’s not a motherly emotions guru. She’s just a person. She gets to be a mother *and* go on adventures. She has no magic but she’s the heart of the Red Company. She’s everyone’s first friend, and she clearly colludes with Mr. Dart to look after Jemis, and she’s just the best. No other character in the Nine Worlds does it like her.

THEE Good Boy. Unreliable narrator of all time. Solves impossible puzzles for fun and his only friendship speed is ride or die. Forgot he was nobility for like ten years.

Everything happens to this little guy SO MUCH and he is just so kind and is the most very of VG’s unreliable narrators

he's just a little guy. he's going through it. everything happens to him so much AND he's got allergies, which is really more than anyone should have to deal with. he's like 21 and yet he's giving the literal 1000-year-olds in this series a run for their money in terms of how many adventures and traumatic experiences he's had, and most of them were in the last three months. beautifully oblivious to flirting. terrible taste in women. a reliable man in a crisis IF what you need in the crisis is 3-5 handkerchiefs and/or some emergency poetry analysis. died and came back and largely just seems embarrassed by that. can knit, bake, and make a nice cup of tea, but can also slay dragons. i look forward to the day when he repurposes his knitting needles for something overly exciting. 10/10 would invite to a dinner party with the utter certainty that at the very least he will liven things up and nobody will be leaving without a story

For Wu Zetian x Gao Yizhi x Li Shimin: (propaganda from previous poll here)

They are in a poly and are so morally gray and I love em. The triangle really is the strongest shape

They're gay because they're all bi (literally in Shimin and Yizhi's cases, kinda more implied for Zetian). Zetian and Shimin tortured a man for information (and also because he tortured them first) while Yizhi cooked back in their apartment. They made a plan to destroy their government and take over instead. Yizhi killed his dad because he was talking shit about Zetian and trying to sway his trust in her (it didn't work lmao). Instead of a love triangle (it REALLY seemed like that was what it was heading towards) they all love each other and would (and have) committed atrocities for each other. There's a whole thing about how they're stronger together (like, metaphorically and on the battlefield (Shimin and Zetian pilot a giant mecha together and Yizhi balances them))

They're a canon polyship who are all a bit deranged and down to kill for their goals and/or to protect bae. Two have tortured a man to death together and came home to the third making celebratory cookies for them.

Shen Yuan / Shen Qingqiu from The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System (SVSSS)

Submission 1: He was an anti fan that literally got so mad at a novel he was reading that he died and then was transmigrated into the novel he hated (besides the main character) as the villain. The author of said novel also transmigrated and they formed a love/hate broship.

Submission 2: 

My man is the hater-est hater to ever hate, except like Kendrick Lamar. He hate-read a webnovel with over 20 million words, and left scathing commentary on every single chapter. Even the author Shang Qinghua, of the webnovel PIDW, which by subtext was very very popular, knew Shen Yuan (Peerless Cucumber) as the legendary anti-fan.  He hated it (everything except the protagonist Luo Binghe) so much that after reading the last chapter, he choked and died (...slight exaggeration). Shen Yuan also proceeded to transmigrate into the novel, make everyone fall in love with him, use the power of headpats and 'a smile from the cold beauty' to overturn the genre from harem-esqe to danmei, bending the protagonist. Tldr, the power of Shen Yuan's haterism turned Cool Edgy Awesomely Powerful Protagonist Luo Binghe to soggy wet clingy white lotus bing-bong Bingmei, and it's honestly better off this way <3 

Submission 3: he's an internet hater screenname Peerless Cucumber who hates this webnovel so much he dies and transmigrates into it to fix the entire plot and also he's left so many hate comments the author (fellow transmigrator) knows and remembers who he is after being in the webnovel world for decades. Dedication.

Sophie Deveraux, Leverage: Give her the right stage, and she can be anyone.
