Do people not understand that AI improves the more it is used? If I had a fucking nickel for every person who “doesn’t approve of using AI to replace or steal from artists” but that’s not now THEY use it! “They just use it as a tool”. YOU ARE FEEDING IT. I don’t understand how much more simple I can make this. Every time you use AI for any purpose, to help you write an email or an essay, to generate a picture of your OC, to get ideas, whatever, you are contributing to the learning and improvement of generative AI as a whole. You are making it that much better for the next guy who may not be using it just as a tool, who may be using it to avoid hiring a human artist or to steal artists work. When I shout from the rooftops about AI being something we need to boycott entirely I do not mean “unless you’re using it in a cool fun way” I mean STOP FUCKING FEEDING THE BEAST. I do not care what justification you have created for yourself as to why how *you* do it is okay. If you are an artist, if you care about artists, or hell, if you want to continue to have access to good human made art STOP FEEDING THE MACHINE.
