Wukong ♡ Part Of The Family
I'm not dead whoop- Just lost motivation and also didn't really have time. I don't know if I'm now fully back, but here have this one-shot... And a Mink (Ink MK) X Reader is in the making as I'm publishing this one-shot. c:
And Wukong's got a thing for MK's mom in this one...
Tumblr media
ⓘ Reader is USING SHE/HER PRONOUNS
 ♡ ~ Fluff ~ ♡
"Alright, I'll be heading home now."
"Make sure not to forget your backpack this time."
"Oh c'mon, I told you I was in a hurry yesterday, Pigsy! Anyway, see you tomorrow."
And with that, you put on your backpack and made your way over to the front door of the noodle shop. You were casually walking outside, humming a tune that's been stuck in your head the entire day... Until you noticed a little boy standing there, nude and covered in dirt, just staring at the noodle shop's bright light in awe. Confused and concerned, you glanced around the area in search for any possible parent looking for their runaway child. But there was no one even walking around the street. It was almost closing time for many people, after all.
When the boy still didn't move, you decided to take action. Slowly approaching the boy, you kneeled down to be more at his height. "Hey there, sweetie. How did you end up here like this? Are you lost? What's your name?" He looked at you, then back at the shop. Yet, he did not talk. Scratching your head in thought, you decided to approach the situation differently. "So, uh... Are you hungry? I'm sure I can let Pigsy take a bit off my paycheck for some noodles. I don't think he would turn down cooking for a kid in need."
Again, he just looked at you, then back at the shop. You sighed. This would be a fun problem to solve past closing hours. Extending your hand out towards the boy, you stood up. "C'mon, sweetie. Let me at least get you inside. I'd rather have you sit inside in the warmth than standing outside in the cold and dark once the sun is gone. I'm sure we can help find your parents."
This time, the boy looked at you, then at your hand. He hesitantly placed his tiny, kinda dirtied hand in yours and you began to slowly lead him inside the noodle shop's light.
Your boss was kind and helped you clean him up and gave him spare clothes, which looked a bit too big on the boy, then cooked up a meal for him. Sadly, you were unable to figure out what happened to him or where his parents were. You even looked outside the shop in the dark occasionally, trying to hear or see anyone who was looking for their child. But nothing came of it. Eventually, you found out the child's name and... It was really long. And since neither you or Pigsy could be bothered with saying it, you decided to nickname him MK. Your choice of the nickname was actually inspired by the legendary Monkey King, how he also had a really long name that got shortened for convenience as well.
A couple of days passed and there still was no parent looking for their child, nor was there any missing person report regarding a young boy with his descriptions...
You were basically taking care of MK during day and night, taking him home with you. At one point you suggested placing him in an orphanage, but MK only started to sob and cry, hugging your leg, not wanting to leave you. And being unable to say no, you accepted your fate. Hell, you even went the extra mile and became his legally adoptive parent with the paperwork you filled out, with Pigsy as uncle-figure of course.
As time went on, so did the years of development for your son. He moved out of your house and moved into the apartment Pigsy owned right above his shop, making him have a much easier time going to work. Meanwhile, you decided to travel through other towns all around the country, sending many little souvenir gifts and postcards over to Megapolis for MK to see, as well as keeping in touch with him through texts. And just a few years later, you heard news about various demons attacking your Megapolis, and how a boy called the Monkie Kid saved the city multiple times. Concerned, you started to travel back to the city, trying to get back as soon as you could to make sure your son and your former boss were alright.
To be honest, you arrived at a probably horrible time.
Looking at the city's skyline in the distance, you had to rub you eyes in confusion. Were you seeing this right? The city was partially covered in what seemed like giant ice shards... Did climate change really hit this area this bad the past years? It wasn't like it covered everything, but there certainly seemed to be a lot of icy remains. Shaking your head to regain focus, you proceeded with your self-proclaimed mission of checking on your son and your former boss. Cautiously making your way through Megapolis... the city seemed rather ruined. People were seemingly trying to get rid of any remaining ice as well as just generally trying to recover from whatever occurred. You were more confused if anything. What happened? Was this the aftermath of an attack of a demon you heard and read about in the news?
You then found your way back to Pigsy's Noodles. The noodle shop didn't seem to have changed at all. Upon entering, you immediately recognized some familiar and some unfamiliar faces. But the three you were most happy about to see were MK, Tang and Pigsy. You grinned, staying quiet as you leaned against the wall next to the entrance.
"MK! Order up!" Pigsy yelled out with a smile... It was certainly strange to see him smiling, but you weren't going to complain. Nice to know he was happier than when you left.
"On it, boss!" MK exclaimed as he swiftly grabbed the ordered bag. Though, as he turned to leave, his eyes spotted you... He froze, almost tripping over himself as he nearly let the noodle order fall in absolute shock. The boy simply looked at you with wide eyes... Before he started to tear up and seemingly hugged you at lightspeed. "MOM! YOU'RE BACK! I MISSED YOU! IT'S BEEN SO LONG!"
You chuckled as you tightly hugged him back, slightly tearing up yourself. "I'm home, sweetie..."
Of course, due to MK still having to go on his delivery route, he didn't have time to catch up with you just yet. However, you asked if you could join him on his delivery to catch up while he drove around. And of course, he happily agreed. Though, it was interesting to see where he went for those deliveries... The way he so casually delivered those noodles to so many demons with you... However, he was inhumanly fast at it. You were actually intrigued... What happened to your son while you were gone? Why was he suddenly so fast? Sure, he was a pretty hyperactive kid at least since you and Tang told him about the legend of the Monkey King, but this speed was new to you.
However, it wasn't until the last delivery where you were really questioning things. He had to deliver to Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King. At first you were under the assumption that he was supposed to place the delivery as an offering at his temple... You did not expect your precious baby boy to crash into a rock solid wall, apparently revealing the Monkey King's home on the other side, and creating a hole in the wall from excitement... Yeah, you definitely were missing out on major context here for sure. And if that wasn't enough, the legendary Monkey King himself was actually standing behind said wall and casually greeted your son as if it were just another day... Was this real? Didn't Sun Wukong supposedly vanish since he sealed the Demon Bull King? Was this a fake? You were actually internally freaking out at the sight of the legend himself from the stories. Though, you tried to keep calm and not squeal like a fangirl. He looked too real to be a human in a costume...
"Hey, bud!" Monkey King greeted MK before noticing you. He blinked at you in confusion. "Oh- Who's your friend?"
But before you could introduce yourself, MK hugged you excitedly from the side. "Monkey King, this is my mom! Mom, meet Monkey King!"
You awkwardly wave with a nervous, not sure if you were even allowed to be here. "Uh... h-hey."
"My mom and Mr.Tang are the reason I became a fan of your stories in the first place! She's a huge fan of you too!" MK said excitedly, which made you blush in embarrassment as you pursed your lips, mentally wanting to shut your son up from talking about you and your interests.
Monkey King couldn't help but snort at the dynamic you and your son have. He didn't even need his powers to notice the clear embarrassment and awkwardness you felt at your son's words. "Well, I'm glad to be able to meet the mother of my successor." The ginger-furred simian held out his hand for you to shake. You smiled awkwardly and hesitantly shook his hand, internally screaming that you were literally shaking hands with the Sun Wukong...
But then his words hit you and you looked at him and MK in confusion. "Wait a minute... Successor? Of the Monkey King?" You gave MK a slight glare. "He didn't tell me anything about that..." Your son laughed sheepishly, to which the Monkey King grinned smugly at him.
"Whaaat? You didn't tell your mom about how you can wield my staff and powers? And how you did a bunch of hero stuff?" Monkey King teased the poor boy. MK really just wanted to disappear right about now in fear of your silent rage.
"MK, I'm not mad that you didn't tell me... Well, I kind of am. But I'm mainly just worried about you and your safety, sweetie." You stated as you kissed MK's forehead. The way you handled MK seemed to very slightly stir something deep inside the Monkey King... He didn't know what it was, but it made him feel a little funny. It was a rather pleasant feeling... Just the way you talked with MK and treated the boy who was somewhat of a son to him.. Wait.
Actually- Nevermind, he realized something.
MK whined a bit, "Mooom, but I'm grown up already! I can handle some bad guys, even the big ones!"
"And I'm supposed to believe it how? Sure I've seen you running extremely quickly, but I haven't seen you use any actual powers- Besides you breaking the wall-" You paused. Then you turned towards the Monkey King and bowed a little. "I'm terribly sorry that my son broke your wall! How much would it cost to fix it? I-I'm sure I can cover the cost somehow-"
"Psh, it's fine, don't worry about it, Miss (Y/N). No need to pay for it. We tend to destroy walls surprisingly often during training. I can just easily fix it later myself if necessary", Monkey King cut you off. He then got an idea of how to prove it all. He placed his hands on his hips and grinned. "Well, speaking of training... How about your son and I show you what he can do already? We haven't been training in a while anyway, so it could be a nice refresher after everything that happened with the Lady Bone Deeeuuuuhhhh... Forget that part, actually."
You give both a confused and somewhat suspicious look. Now it was Monkey King's turn to laugh nervously. "Aahahaaaanyway- Let's show her what you've learned so far, bud!" He then grabbed you and MK and lead you outside to the cliffside of his home, where him and MK would usually chill and train at. And to give credit where credit is due, it did seem like MK learned quite a bit from his mentor. He even performed some of Monkey King's 72 transformations to show off his skills. Of course you were proud and happy for your son, but you were still a little worried about him having to face actual threats as the legend's successor.
That's when Monkey King started to act... strange, as MK would put it. He wanted to spar with the young boy, which was fine... But unlike their usual sparring sessions, this time his mentor was shirtless. MK immediately knew something was up because he has never seen him spar shirtless since there was no need. Monkey King never even break a single sweat during training. Nor did he ever overheat...
Meanwhile, you couldn't help but eye the ginger-furred monkey's physique. Despite being on the rather lean side, he did have refined muscles on him which were clearly visible due to the bright sunlight. Monkey King noticed your staring and only seemed to move more in a calculated way as he dodges MK's attacks. It was if he was showing off his body more, which made you faintly blush while he grinned... You thought he was grinning because of how easily he dodged MK's attacks with his staff.
However, Monkey King seemed so distracted and was holding back by showing off his body that he did not manage to block one attack from MK. The attack knocked the monkey to the ground due to him losing his balance in surprise. MK laughs victoriously at his mentor's defeat since the task was to land a hit. "Ha! I did it!"
Monkey King blushed a bit in embarrassment as he watched you hold back your laughter. He sheepishly smiled at his successor before using his tail to help himself off the ground. "Yeah, you sure did bud. Congrats."
Suddenly, your phone rang, capturing the attention of both of them. Looking at your phone, you noticed it was Pigsy calling. You sighed as you turned towards the other two. "I'll be right back, I got a call." You said before going a bit further away from them so you could be able to peacefully listen to what Pigsy wanted to talk to you about.
Meanwhile, MK just had to make sure of something. He raised an eyebrow at his mentor, grinning smugly. "Soooo... My mom...~?"
Monkey King blushed as he looked away, laughing nervously as he scratched his cheek. "Ahahaha! W-What are you talking about, kid? W-What about you mom ahaha-"
"You like her, don't you?" MK asks smugly. "You never take any clothes off during our sparring sessions, not even the smallest piece. Even when someone else is around... You even held back on your dodges to flex! This is the first time I see you trying to impress someone!"
If the ginger-furred simian had been drinking something, he would've either spat it out or choked on it as he tried to nervously laugh it off. "O-Of course not! Wha- W-What makes you say that? That doesn't prove anything! I just... felt like sparring like this today, okay? There's a first time for everything after all!" He tried to justify his actions. MK on the other hand just hummed, still grinning smugly. For anyone else trying to hook up with his mom, he would feel disgusted by it. However, the idea of the Sun Wukong, his mentor, legally becoming his father would be amazing. So, what else is there to do than for him to tease his probably and hopefully future dad? "...I don't like how you're looking at me right now." Wukong commented as MK simply continued to grin at him.
"Just admit it."
"...Admit what, bud?"
"That you like my mom."
"Oh- Ahahaha- Psh, I don't like her. I-I mean I like her, you know? She's nice, she's caring... But, I don't like-like her, y-you know? I-I, uh, just-" The ginger simian stammered nervously.
"Mhm. Sure..." MK's grin didn't fade.
After some awkward staring, Monkey King sighed in defeat. "...Okay fine, maybe... Just maybe I do like her just a tiny smidge more than I should for just meeting her today..."
MK chuckles as he leans against his staff. "So like, do you want me to play matchmaker and set you two up? I could get Mei and Sandy involved too in helping you get her to like you back."
The ginger-furred simian blinks at him in both surprise, confusion and embarrassment. He thought his successor would either just drop the topic or continue teasing him behind your back. Maybe he somewhat expected him to even resent him in a way for liking his mother... He just didn't expect him to willingly want to be a supportive matchmaker.
Monkey King nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "Um... How about without them- I just... don't want this to be a big thing since I just met her...?" That came out as more of a question than a statement. The young Monkie Kid happily looked at his mentor, seeing his answer as a clear-cut confirmation of the Great Sage Equal To Heaven asking him for help.
It didn't take long for a plan to be formed.
From then on, just to have both of you to get to know each other better, MK asked you continuously to come with him to Flower Fruit Mountain everytime him and Monkey King were training... And your son was an annoyingly persistent bean, so you usually were dragged away and over to the Monkey King's lair. Then, after every training session, his mentor would talk to you.
It started off simple, actually. You would usually ask about MK's progress as well as about what kind of trouble he's already gotten himself into while you were gone. Apparently the day you returned, MK and his friends had just defeated some ancient bone demon spirit and Megapolis was still recovering.
But then your topics became a lot more personal with each new conversation. While your conversations once were just about things regarding your son being the successor of the Monkey King, over the course of the next weeks, Monkey King would talk to you more about personal preferences. Soon, most of your conversations became rather personal between you two. And oddly enough, MK never once bothered you two. Which made you a little suspicious because MK would usually pester you about what you were talking about with someone else.
You actually became quite good friends with your son's mentor. And after some more time, Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, the Great Sage Equal To Heaven, asked you out for dinner on Flower Fruit Mountain. You, a mere mortal human, of course were stunned. But also excited to basically go on a date with Sun Wukong himself. Though, it didn't take long for you to figure out that MK was helping out his mentor in hooking you up with him... Just the fact that he was not so secretly asking Wukong about his type right in front of you, to which the Monkey King was responding in a way that was describing you, was evidence enough. It was cute and amusing to see the legendary Monkey King so awkward and flustered that he needed the help of his successor though.
But, your first date was great. You could've sworn MK and Wukong's monkeys were helping him behind the scenes, but they never directly interfered or showed up. Either way, your second date was definitely something Wukong himself set up without MK's or the other monkey's influence, which you appreciated a lot.
However, your monkey boyfriend became a lot more bold in your relationship over time. He turned from awkward and nervous to the horny equivalent of his lip bite meme pictures... Beware of his bad pick-up lines and other advances, because those were the only things that really made MK regret helping him...
"Hey there, beautiful. Are you a peach? Because I want to get a taste of you-"
"Oh my god, Wukong."
"Whaaaat? I just love and a-peach-iate you, babe-"

Lego Monkie Kid Rewatch: Season 3
Episode 9, The King, the Prince, the Shadow Part 2/2
"Does anyone else feel like-" "We've been here before? Yeah. Its weird, right? But- I ah- know I haven't." "Me neither. And yet this place feels so familiar." "Nah. Not me, man. This is all new to me."
Tumblr media
Remember when I said that a lot of characters keep wrongly comparing MK to Wukong, like MK is supposed to be the next Wukong. Well…. that wasn't just at the characters. That was at us the fans too. Up until this season, I too just thought of MK as the next Monkey King. It just felt right. Pigsy was Zhu Bajie, Tang Tang Sanzang, Mei as Ao Lie, and Sandy as Sha Wujing. Simplistically, I assumed MK was supposed to be this new version's Monkey King. But he's not. He's not like the rest. He's not part of their story- at least he wasn't supposed to be.
MK was never meant to be here... to experience this, or them. And this season is when the show really starts opening our eyes to it.
(Also… I think this proves pretty definitively that Sandy is not the still alive Sha Wujing. With his flashback in To Catch a Leaf, I was so sure. I mean, look at those old looking weaponry?!)
Tumblr media
(But unless Sha Wujing has amnesia that conveniently lets him forget the Samadhi Fire incident, than he really is just the reincarnation instead of the original.)
"It is on brand for you to have a worse version of everyone elses powers."
Tumblr media
Ouch. Also… is this a hint at Macaque having been a clone of Wukong once upon a time? Like, in Shadow Play, Macaque chooses to feature a lot of Wukong and his clones for some reason, especially when speaking of the Warrior and Hero being a team. Strangely, some of those clones look an awful lot like Macaque.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or could this be a hint at season 5 where its revealed Macaque's shadow powers are more like certain other being who shall not be named for sake of spoilers?
Loud Annoying Wukong: "What? You got what you wanted, didn't you? Not going to gloat, monologue a little bit before scurrying off to your master?"
Tumblr media
Inner Panicking Wukong: "Ah drat! He's totally gonna know those are fake. Quick! I gotta distract him into wasting more time!"
"Wukong!"
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure that's Ne Zha's favourite word. He says it almost every second. Might even be his catch phrase.
"Oh, so the piece of paper just magically made a bunch of light!" "That's exactly what happened and you know it!"
Tumblr media
Ah, I love these two.
"Stop! If you hurt that kid I'll-" "What. Make things worse for MK?"
Tumblr media
Like I said last time, bad hero, good mentor. He cares about MK more than anything else right now. This same kind of protective passion has happened before, back in the Journey to the West. Wukong is good at devoting himself to one person, and tolerating everyone else for the sake of that person.
"Glowy mystic symbol thingies are always never good!"
Tumblr media
Proceeds to touch said glowy mystic symbol thingies.
AWWWW! Tang trying to protect Mei!
Tumblr media
I love the majority of the adults in this show. They do their best to help the kiddos and protect them, even when those kiddo's are typically more powerful than them. Tang, Pigsy, and Sandy understand that young one's always need to be cared for.
THIS SHOT THIS SHOT THIS SHOT!
Tumblr media
I totally missed this shot the first time around! OH MY GOSHNESS SANDY I LOvE YOU!
Once again Macaque forgets about Mei.
Tumblr media
I'm starting to see why she and Macaque were put in a team together in season 4. She is, strangely enough, his blind spot.
And once again I am shaking my head at the way the show treated Macaque's supposed redemption arc. Look at the way he's treating her, the way he's treating them all! The fear and pain he causes them!
Bashes MK repeatedly into the ground until he is unconscious.
Tumblr media
Threatens Mei's life while holding her by the throat.
Tumblr media
Forces the parental figures to watch their kids get ruined.
Tumblr media
Forces Tang to choose the life of his friends over the sake of the world.
Tumblr media
The trauma this guy is causing them- and they just never bring it up? Mei should have held the largest grudge Katara style until Macaque made it up to her! Tang should be absolutely afraid to go near Macaque after the moral trauma the simian caused him. Pigsy should throw a spoon at him every time he darkens his door way with all his ping pong master might. Sandy should constantly keep Macaque between himself and the kids as a protective barrier everytime the shadow comes around.
Until Macaque makes it up to them, apologizes and tries to do right by them all... they should have continued to treat him with fear, anger, and wariness.
"But he was under LBD control' you say. 'He had no choice."
No he wasn't. This threatening, this danger he puts them in? That was for his own gain. Macaque wanted the Samadhi Fire to escape LBD. He was in control of his actions here. He was going to take the power needed to break her control over him and then dip, leaving the mortals to parish under LDB's rule. Sure, he was probably in pain and obviously scared for his life- but that doesn't excuse the choices he made and the trauma he caused.
It's like Macaque said last episode. You have to look out for yourself, no one else.

Hello! Can you write a oneshot or a headcanon (platonic, ofc) about Macaque with a reserved but also very outgoing child? (like those kids that are calm and reserved but if you mention something they really like they just go off and start rambling all happy and excited)
I had this idea in my head for a little while, I think it'd be really funny and wholesome if he just appeared at Pigsy's Noodles w/ his child and everyone's like "wh- YOU'RE A DAD??? WHEN??? HOW????" and he just watches with that Tired Parent Look™ as his kid stares directly at MK and goes "YOU'RE THAT MONKIE GUY ON THE TV!!!"
Sorry for any errors! English is not my first language, I apologize for the long text aswell, I'm just an absolute sap for the "tired but loving dad" trope also you can totally delete my ask or skip it if you don't want to write it!! Thank you either way, your writing is wonderful :) !
All right! *cracks fingers, snaps neck- whoops-*
You got it anon! Sorry for not answering this ask sooner, I realized headcanons are easier to write than an actual oneshot considering the limited time I have to write nowadays. But I hope you enjoy, and thanks for the ask! <333

MACAQUE X CHILD!READER
Lego Monkie Kid
Context: Long ago, a wise old monkey had taken you under his wing, to train you and teach you the ways- okay, let's save the theatrics for later, that's Macaque's thing. Your father figure. Honestly, he's growing on you, and it's starting to show now that people are pointing it out.
TW: None!
HEADCANNONS
‧˚₊꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶꒦꒷‧₊˚⊹‧˚₊꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶꒦꒷‧₊˚⊹
Macaque doesn't normally take you somewhere where conflict is bound to arise. He'd prefer someplace more peaceful, like a park/museum/theater. Unless, of course, he's in the mood for adventure and will literally take you skydiving without a permit.
Totally the irresponsible dad. He's protective as FUCK, let's make that clear, but in the end he trusts you to take care of yourself
perhaps a bit too much, and even you think that
He'll encourage you to pet that snake
He'll give you the thumbs up if you wanted to climb to the top of the weather tower during a thunderstorm
Like "Go get 'em, (Y/N)! Make your father proud!"
With such a dramatic character when it comes to encouraging you, Macaque will become insanely tired. He'll be snoring on the couch and won't wake up even if you stacked all the furniture in the house on his back
Speaking of the house, he and you live far away from any danger
This guy didn't know jack shit about being a dad at first (you kind of hat to teach him, oh how the turns have tabled) But once he understood the basics, he took the reins, eager to impress you and earn your respect. Macaque isn't usually a sucker for developing any relationship with Earthly figures, but you were the only exception. He'd lay awake at night thinking if he's making the right choice, then slapping himself for even considering abandoning you. You are too precious.
Which is why he's totally, utterly wrapped around your little finger
So when you ask to get take-out at Pigsy's Noodles, it doesn't take much effort to sway his stoic resolve
"Dad. Pops. Papa. Father of mine," you say, grabbing his face, looking a lot older than you actually are. "Please!"
Since Macaque can't turn his face to the side (squished as it is), he sighs dramatically and closes his eyes. You catch the faint, irritated twitch of his tail, but that's about the only hint of Fed-Up Parent you can detect.
"(Y/N), Megapolis is miles away."
"You have shadow magic!"
"You can't just abuse my powers, especially now that you've decided to abuse yours," he grunts, albeit grinning at you. He' loosing.
Triumph fills your chest. "I can handle it! Uncle Pigsy would love to see me!"
"Uncle!?" Macaque splutters, finally escaping your grip. Shocked eyes blink down at you. "Sweetheart, you haven't even met Pigsy, you've only seen him from afar."
You blink up, flaunting those devil-may-care puppy eyes.
Oh, he hates it when you do that.
"Puh-lease! I'll do anything! i'll scratch your back! Do my chores before games! I-I'll stay out of your secret stash of peaches!" You gasp, flopping down on the soft carpet lining the floor. You consider the intricate pattern for a moment, then mutter under your breath; "Even though you said you hate those. . . ."
Macaque fixes you with a stern look. "You know about that, huh?"
"Mayyybe."
Like I said, not that much effort. The guy may be invulnerable to harm at best, but his immortality falls short under your tactics. Persuasive skills that he taught you to use.
Sucks how plans backfire, huh?
When you two do get to the shop, however, Macaque goes into full parent-mode
He doesn't care if you think it's uncool, you're holding his hand and that's that. He'd get you one of those child harnesses but thank the stars you'd convinced him you're worth more than such a humiliating child-control device.
So in you go, holding hands, Macaque glaring at anyone who spares you a curious glance.
When Macaque sees who's at the counter, he almost does a 180 out of there
It's MK.
Of all people.
He hasn't seen the two of you yet, though. You feel Macaque's paw tighten over your small, nimble fingers, and you can't help but squeeze back in return, asking a silent question.
It's times like these where you don't know what to do. You're still a child, even if this was your idea.
But then you spot who's at the counter
and At the same time, Pigsy comes 'round the corner with a giant tray of noodles- fit for the exact number of people surrounding the Monkie Kid. Suddenly, Macaque realizes who all is there.
This guy
Parent-Panic-Pro
The literal Monkey King is the first to turn head, eyes landing on Macaque first. You can tell instantly his fight-or-flight response just kicked in; shoulders tensing, teeth baring, eyes widening (oh yes, typical ex behavior- HAHA)
Then, all heads are turning.
And Monkey King's eyes land on you
Macaque steps in front of you, form tense and on high alert. "Heyyyy," he says, awkwardly.
The Monkey King tilts his head, perhaps confused as to why his old friend is protecting a little kid. Then he realizes. Poor guy connects the dots, lets out an unholy gasp of astonishment, and points and the both of you
"YOU. YOU- AND THEM- MACISTHATYOURKID-"
Pandemonium.
At least, in the most gentle context. MK and his friends do a double take, the Monkey King is gaping and trying to figure out who could ever love Macaque to result in this- and your dad just completely gives up. He gives you this look, like 'see why I was against bringing you here'
And you know. And your eyes say sorry, that you'll make it up to him later
Typical silent father/child communicating
(you guys are really good at that, communicating through your eyes or expressions. it helps in crowds)
That is, until your eyes fall on MK and realize for the first time that he's actually there
And Macaque's face falls into an impossibly disappointed facade (really, he's happy you're socializing) as you let go of his hand and prance right up to MK, eyes literal stars.
Thank goodness for MK, for he's kind and patient enough to let you blabble and gush on about how cool he is and how you've stayed up to date on the latest chaos he's incited (poor dude looks a bit downcast at that)
Funny how you went to such a well-behaved, shy kid to an energetic hyper-fixated gremlin in two seconds
All the while, Pigsy is listening, Monkey King corners Macaque and quietly demands answers (the two of them talk in the background for awhile as you socialize)
Noodles are served
There's just so many people in Pigsy's Noodles that the owner himself couldn't keep track of who ordered what, so everyone just got the same thing- and lots of it
In the end, you're all sitting down at the table (everyone had worked together to gather as many spare tables/chairs as possible to sit together at one huge-ass table)
You insisted you sit with Mei and MK in order to interrogate them about their adventures
OF course, you mean well, and they know that. And Macaque never pulls you aside because he likes seeing you like this, it makes him happy knowing you're indulging in the things you love, and he deosn't have the heart to tell you it's almost time to go home.
So you stay there for awhile, chatting with Mk and his friends
You get to know Pigsy (he doesn't mind being called your uncle, said at this point he's practically everyone's uncle or dad)
But alas
You're bit a child
And towards the end of the night, aftter everyone is stuffed full of noodles, you're conked out in your chair, slumped and snoring softly, eyes fluttering from dreaming
Everyone glances at you, how fucking adorable you are
Macaque straightens, clears his throat, says it's time for him to leave
Sun Wukong stops him for a moment, just to say
"Keep them safe, Mac."
Of course, like the #1 Dad he is, Macaque snorts. "I think I know more about raising a kid than you do, Wukong. I'll . . . see you out there."
Then he picks you up, carefully, so you stay sleeping, and walks out
but not before turning around to thank everyone for dinner
For once, they offer smiles (some are weaker and less meaningful than others, but props for trying. Macaque is kinda responsible for a lot of pain in their lives, anyways)
You don't register any of it, too full of noodles and new information regarding your idols
Macaque knows he'll never hear the end of it
Perhaps that's a good thing, considering the fond smile on his face as he gently carries you home, lays you in bed, and pulls the covers over your snoring form. He eagerly awaits the morning to which you'll wake him up excitedly ranting about tonight, about how you want to do it again
And he's wrapped around your little finger, so if course he'll listen to you
this guy would move the world for you

Random Fanart of MK from Lego Monkie Kid lol My Fandom switches OH so erratically, but I'm REALLY stuck on this one right now.
His design in inspired on the design that @kyri45 gave to him in their Bio Parents AU :D
Full figure sketches under the cut
Tumblr media
I've never been good with human faces, so for now, this is my "bridge the gap" so to speak. Not only am I excited to draw the boy and maybe some other characters from the show Macaque cough cough, but I'm hoping that drawing these characters will help me get the motivation and courage I need to actually start drawing human faces.
On top of this, I struggle with expression, so I'm hoping these can help with that too. All the characters are super expressive :)

[HeroIsBack!SWK finds his Macaque clutching a strange stone oval that the hunters targeting FFM are very adamant on stealing...]
...
Other SWKs opening a portal to see what's taking HeroIsBack!SWK so long, only to see him in a bloody battles aftermath, covered in a lot of blood, missing an arm and holding in the other arm, and staring with big pupils, HeroIsBack!Macaque, who is holding a stone egg and chewing on the missing arm (Flight or Fight makes ya do weird things it seems).
SWKs: ...
LMK!SWK: Umm...you okay, bud?
HeroIsBack!SWK, looking at the others now: I'm dreaming of a solstice wedding now.
I have a whole post I'm working on describing an idea for a HeroIsBack fan sequel, so Imma keep SWK and LEM's meeting short.
Basically once all the kids (minus Silly Girl who was unclaimed by any of the humans strangely) are returned to their parents, Sun Wukong goes home with his new little troop in tow. When he finally touches down though... Flower Fruit Mountain is still in the aftermath of the Burning and is constantly being attacked by human hunters and starving demons. Wukong does the king thing and goes to kill some hunters/save captured subjects.
He gets to the Hunter's camp; only to see the carnage of a one-sided battle, many of the hunters are already dead or gravelly wounded. His subjects are still in cages, but something is busy with the remaining attackers.
Then he gets pounced by a figure lurking in the shadows that mistoke his tall form for that of a man;
Tumblr media
Sun Wukong is immediately in love.
This terrifying feral beauty turns out to be his Six Eared Macaque; currently on one of his many human-focused blood frenzys.
After a quick exchange, they realize that the other is a dear friend they thought lost to the War on Heaven. Things are adorably awkward even as they slaughter the remaining hunters together.
Tumblr media
Accidental hand-holding occurs when they reach for the neck of the leader of the hunters.
Later once the fight has died down and SWK has released the imprisioned monkeys, the two warriors get talking.
SWK, messed up phyically from the fight (maybe looking for a missing limb): "So... the leader of those hunter. I heard you say that he'd Took Something from you?" Macaque, currently has SWK's missing arm: "Yeah. My treasure." SWK, takes arm back: "What kind of treasure?" Macaque, unstraps bundle from back: "This." *Treasure is a Stone Egg* Both Mystic Monkies be like: ╭( ๐_๐)╮ ⬯╭(๐_๐ )╮ SWK: "Well thats... unexpected." Macaque: "Yeah it sorta just smashed near me after that solar eclipse. For some reason the hunters really want it."
Later Macaque sees Wukong interact with Liuer in a very dad-like fashion and decides to ask.
Macaque: "The little monk. He is your cub?" Wukong, (chokes on piece of fruit): *begins realizing the parental-energy of his and Liuer's interactions* "Uh...." Macaque, smiling cheekily: "And he just *happens* to have my title as his name?" Wukong: "UHHHHHH..." Pigsy, butting-in expert wingman-mode: "He is such a good dad! You should see how he tends to the baby!" Macaque, eyes blown wide with excitement: "Baby!? Where?!"
Turns out the bloodthirsty killer Macaque is also a natural caretaker. Known as "Nanai Mihou" to the younger generation of monkeys on the island - much like how SWK himself is "Grandpa Sun".
SWK and Macaque are both having *feelings* about officially becoming parents (parenting Liuer / an actual future baby monkey), and maybe they might ask the other beautifully powerful celestial primate out on a date???
And ofc everybody can see whats blooming between them except the two monkeys themselves - they don't want to get their hopes up. Liuer gets frustrated and decides to pull a Parent Trap on them. Also Silly Girl turns out to be the child of a pair of Important Demons...
I have just realized that this plot set up is like a Hallmark Xmas movie, but with immortal monkeys.
But yeah the sudden shift in plot throws the other SWKs for a loop.

Cinema Sins/Wins Rip off of Lego Monkie Kid
‘Duplicatnation’
Inspired by @satansaidmyturnintheh3llscape
Rules:
-I won’t be counting Animation Mistakes, because Idk how to do that, and I myself am a beginner animator (more like incredibly amateur, to the point I’m asking my sister for help) Unless of course the Animation is obviously and clearly having a mistake for me to watch. (Or it is said in the wiki) The other reason is because I don’t want to keep repeating a scene just to check for an animation mistake.
-I also won’t be counting flashbacks as ‘mistakes’ because most of them are based on bias.
-I’ll be formatting it like this
-Neutral
-Sin
-Win
-Most of this is Commentary, so there won’t be a last sentence nor win or sin counter.
-This is mostly for fun, no need to get offended.
Alright I’ll be placing the rules every single time, without further ado, let’s get into the episode
———————————————————————————
-Intro
Tumblr media
-._.
-Already we’re having a good start to the episode, having a look at our dear boy’s daily life.
-And already we see the side effects of being a people pleaser…
-And already we can see the negative effects it’s having on MK-
-I do wonder if that paint’s gonna last in the water…heck what does the water look like with all the painting he’s doing?
-So is it normal for people to go at the arcade every night?
-Stress in a TV show, this is why kids, you don’t overbook and you can always say no.
-‘Wow MK, you look like hot garbage’ that line always throws me off for some reason, Tang was brutally honest here-
-Also he’s here again, so he just comes there everyday…I feel worried for his stomach-
-That bowl of noodles is obviously MK’s breakfast, no way in hell is Pigsy gonna let him eat that.
-I always wonder, if the place is so busy, then why is the shop always empty?
-‘You’re pushing yourself too hard MK, working all day, partying all night, painting boats?’ And this my friend is the reason you’re not a dad, you’re a mom.
-But in all seriousness does anyone not notice that for MK or…?
-‘I don’t wanna let my friends down y’know’ establishing the character development right away.
-I’m still wondering why Mei is partying every night at the arcade.
-It’s specifically the arcade even- like they don’t even go anywhere else-like seriously girl how are you not bored yet?
-MK forgetting Wukong’s abilities makes him more life-like cause damn even I don’t know all his abilities, like, we know the main ones are in the show, but in the original JTTW he’s confirmed to have the ability to revive the dead-
-‘One of Monkey King’s 72 transformations’ wait, is that true? Or is this a mistake? Does this even count as a transformation?
-The animation is so beautiful :3
-Glad they changed it to blow, in one translation, Wukong had to chew on his own hair and turn it into a hair ball before making it into a monkey, that would have been unsanitary to be honest-
-I’m also guessing they changed it to blow as in ‘Blow life unto it’ Idk, I’ve seen a lot of legends in Asia that tell about the creation of people and how Gods literally have to ‘Blow air into them’ to bring them to life.
-Foreshadowing
Tumblr media
-Tiny little detail that not everything about the animation is copy and pasted.
-Love how Tang slowly gets concerned over time- perhaps this is how he just becomes that other parental figure in his life?
Tumblr media
-Another tiny detail, both MK’s don’t leave at the same time.
-Man, Tang’s really chill compared to his past life-
-So…when delivery MK was made…was the reason he ate all that food was because this MK was skipping breakfast? Because he’s taking those orders surprisingly fast…
-I LOVE Party MK
-Again, Tang why are you still here?! That amount of noodles can’t be good for your stomach.
-Notable detail, Pigsy squeals when scared.
-I know some people will call this out as fat shaming, but they may be trying to do the old 2015-2019 format of cartoons. Still this might be offensive to some people.
Tumblr media
-See this is why you shouldn’t constantly work someone to perfection.
-Also Porty MK got a point Mei, no one parties this much- So kinda miscommunication there?
Tumblr media
-Haha
-Ok that is a concerning amount of hair loss…
-Although Delivery MK is pretty adorable, he acts like a baby :3
-‘I don’t know.’ PFFT HAHAAH- it’s funny cause it’s never really said in the book how Wukong got rid of his clones.
-Delivery MK confirms that even the clones can lift the staff.
-The fact the only wavy kung fu MK knew was that one move Wukong taught him last episode.
Tumblr media
-Hairball
-I kinda feel bad for these clones tbh.
-‘OG MK in the House Yo!’ ‘I don’t even know what that means!’ Implies that MK would have learned ‘90’s’ or ‘party slang’ if he kept partying with Mei.
-You know, MK being evil is terrifying tbh.
-‘You’re really bad at making clones by the way’ Sorry Mei- but uhm, I think the clones are him, just in a much deeper level than you’d expect.
-Why did you need that many clones?!
Tumblr media
-Ok, first off how was this legal? Secondly, did Porty MK bribe the owner or something? Thirdly, How the hell did you even make this?!
-Oof, played yerself.
-The fact the hair just…sticks.
-‘Did you learn your lesson?’ Yeah, it’s MK learn to say no, and Everyone, ask someone else, he isn’t the only person in the world. Seriously guys, from what I see you only overwork him.
Yeah! Sorry this came late-

AU CONCEPT TIME- (Ninjago Crystallised and LMK Season 3 Spoilers Below the Cut)
Okay so I had this idea for a sort of fix-it AU for Crystallized that also involves a Lego Monkie Kid Crossover as well as a Morro redemption arch, bear with me here- So basically when Lloyd goes golden Oni in the battle for the first time, instead of getting scared and shaking it off, he gets scared and the overlord takes advantage of this and decides to possess him. Meanwhile, the four ninja aren’t able to free their creation elements in time and end up getting corrupted in their dragon forms. Basically everything that can go wrong goes wrong, and Ninjago falls and is basically decimated by these five- Anyways you can tell this is me really wanting complicated character development through a villain arch, continuing- Now I’m not sure how this happens yet (I have a vague idea that MK’s world is the departed realm but I’m not sure how to explain that yet) but I’m thinking when Morro dies in the water that second time he’s reincarnated in the world of LMK as Mei’s older brother. They’re practically glued to the hip until Mei meets MK and the gang and they start growing apart. Morro doesn’t really show signs of having dragon powers and is struggling with feeling useless since his sister’s out here being a badass while he’s stuck with just doing nothing but skateboarding and gaming. He does end up going with the gang to help find the Samadhi fire, but is in Tang’s position where he can’t contribute much but helps where he can. At the end of this during that scene where they’re all eating on top of that cliff (Mountain? can’t remember exactly) he corners Monkey King and asks what he’s supposed to be. The Monkey King simply says his destiny lies elsewhere and doesn’t elaborate- Anyways because Morro was constantly feeling useless after Mei started growing distant with him he start practicing martial arts to fight the feeling, and he’s gotten pretty good at it. He’s out on his family’s mansion’s big porch one day, practicing, when he accidentally discovers that he can control the wind. He’s shocked, thinking this is some kind of dragon power, and tells his parents. His parents are confused since this isn’t a power you can get from being descended from dragons. Now Morro’s confused as well, wondering where the heck this came from. Then all hell breaks loose with the arrival of a new golden demon and his four winged servants. Outside of the idea of MK’s realm being the departed realm, I don’t really have much a reason for why they end up here, but my current reasoning is that the overlord is basically fostering Lloyd’s anger to keep his form up by sending them to the departed realm to basically torture his enemies. Mei, MK, Red Son, and the rest of the crew are struggling to get a leg up on fighting him, since he’s proving to have an otherworldly power to spread darkness that they can’t combat. Then golden guy spots Morro randomly during the battle and goes ballistic, hellbent on killing him. MK, Red Son, Mei and the rest of the gang come to his rescue and get the hell out of there since they’re not winning this one. That’s all I really have figured out right now for this AU, but I do plan on them finding a way for MK and co to get to Ninjago at one point and meet those that are still alive that weren’t decimated by golden dude, as well as Morro gradually gaining his memories from his past life back throughout the story. Also saving the four core ninja from their corruption somehow. I still have the idea to separate these into seperate AUs since I seriously think Lloyd and the other four ninja could’ve been absolutely freaking amazing villains for Ninjago: United and provided such interesting character archs because they’re corrupted and such. I also would just want to write my own version of a Morro redemption somehow because I love this angsty ghost boy so much and thrown it in there with this whole thing. Also, just a seperate AU where oni lloyd attacks MK’s realm somehow. Idk if they’ll stay together, idk it they’ll be seperate, we’ll see- Anyways thanks for reading my word vomit hopefully it wasn’t too indecipherable. I just wanted to get it down somewhere.

Hello Dubu here!
I just wanted to rant about three ocs (original characters) I was thinking about and have been meaning to draw but art block is a real pain right now. Two are Rise of teenage mutant ninja turtles ocs, and the third one is a Lego Monkie Kid oc.
Therefore this post will have two sections and I will try my best to make it easy to read.
First there are a few things I would like to say,
1. if there are things I am incorrect about, please do correct me
2. I am still researching about few topics I may mention in this post
3. Do not steal these ideas from me. I will come after you(I’ll ask if you really did or if we just had similar ideas) if I see you steal my ideas
4. There will be many grammar mistakes if I misuse a pronoun please let me know
—————————————————
Rise of TMNT OC 1:
Name: ???
Gender: female
Species:half human half yokai (the parents were committed okay)
Ethnicity: Filipino
Nationality:American (born in New York City)
Age: early to mid 20s
Other info: uses she/her pronouns and is heterosexual
Since I do not have a set name I will use one of the possible names, Althea, to explain the character of this oc. Althea has been on her own ever since she was young and as she grew up and educated herself and built her life from nothing, she is now around her 20s owning her own tea cafe known for its calm ambiance and her kicking out rude customers herself. However, although the cafe may seem normal at first, at night when her cafe “closes” she goes around the city helping mutants and yokai who are unable to seek help in the hidden city for whatever reason, needing help with injuries or just wants to go to a cafe on the surface without being judged. When she finds these mutants and/or yokai she brings them back to the basement of her cafe which is her “house” which has one room filled with chairs and tables and another, filled with medical equipment and she helps them heal there and of course, serves them tea. However she is not a licensed doctor, and she only went to community collage for a business degree, so this is very much illegal which is why Althea is very careful about this secret of hers and which is why she does this after hours.
I do have a backstory for her and what happened to her parents, however it is very messy and a bit too dark and I feel like it is much to similar to my other ocs so I am in the middle of changing it.
Relationships:
- She has talked to the hamato family a few times especially the brothers when she found them injuries one night and patched them up and continued to do so consistently.
- She talks to April a lot and they get along pretty well
- Althea and draxum do not get along at first but as time goes on they both bond and eventually even have a father and daughter type relationship
Description:
For how Althea looks, I have no idea but I am sure about one thing and that is that her full yokai form is a giant flying fox (still trying to figure out the whole half human half yokai thing)
Rise of TMNT OC 2:
Name: Sugar
Gender: genderqueer
Species: Yokai
Ethnicity:???
Nationality: American?
Age: 12-14
Other info: uses ze/zir pronouns and is questioning her sexuality currently
Sugar is a sugar gilder yokai, ze is a sweet, energetic, understanding yokai. Do you guys remember the head bat librarian from the mystic library? Well that librarian found sugar on the streets lost and took Sugar in. Ever since then Sugar has been working at the mystic library helping the bat librarian. However Sugar often goes up to the surface to New York City during zir breaks with a cloaking brooch on and explores the wonders of the city.
Zir backstory is a unknown and probably will stay that way, ze has no recollection of zir biological parents and ze is okay with that because right now ze has a mom and that is the head bat librarian.
Relationships:
-Sugar knows Donnie pretty well (although his brothers were banned from the library, Donnie managed to convince the head librarian to appeal his ban) and Donnie introduced Sugar to his brothers (Sugar begged Donnie to let zir meet them).
- Sugar and Mikey are best friends and xe let’s Mikey style zir hair in zir human disguise
- Sugar looks up to Leo and his confidence however for some reason Donnie and Raph keep telling Sugar that Leo may not be the best influence
- Sugar is pretty close to Raph as well since Raph treats zir as a younger sister.
Description:
Sugar in zir true form looks like a Creamino sugar gilder and is pretty small around 4’5, two inches shorter than Mikey. Zir coat is cream colored with apricot/tan markings and zir has dark red eyes. In zir human form zir has 4A type hair, and zir surprisingly has lots of it, zir hair color is the color of zir markings and zir skin is the color of zir fur. Zir loves to put in any cute pins in zir hair and wear fun colorful clothes.
—————————————————-
Lego Monkie kid oc:
Name: Guan (last name)Zhi (first name)? (I’m still thinking about it)
Gender:female
Species:human
Ethnicity: Chinese
Nationality:Chinese
Age: 35 or 42???
Other info: uses she/they and is asexual
Zhi is a kind, gentle, sincere, reliable, and calm women. She is a therapist and does photography on the side. She is a busy women but makes time for her friends. Zhi is a very likable person and she seems almost too rational and gives amazing advice. But there is one unexpected talent of hers, and that is that she is extremely athletic, strong, and amazing at archery and physical combat. However, she never really fights as she dislikes fighting.
Zhi’s backstory is something she never talks about, she has though said that her father was a man which everyone respected and admired, and she has an older brother and had a mother and that she lived in a very traditional strict household.
Relationships:
- Zhi and Tang have a werid relationship, Tang does love Zhi’s company and how she made MK feel a bit more confident in himself however, Tang has this feeling that Zhi is hiding something and isn’t the person she seems like she is. Pigsy also agrees with Tang but it doesn’t bother Pigsy as much as it bothers Tang.
- Zhi and Sandy get along extremely well and sometimes they go out for runs together with Mo
-Zhi cares about Mk and Mei and look at them as their younger siblings despite the age difference. Zhi loves to spoil Mk (she would love to spoil Mei but that girl is rich) and she gives Mk and Mei advice weather it’s for self-esteem, ways to calm down, and more.
Description:
Zhi has long black hair tied up in a bun with a few loose strands and has curtain bangs however she has lots of white hair so she regularly retouch her hair with black hair dye. Her skin is pale and soft and has blue eyes that sometimes look red strangely. They usually wear turtlenecks with a fun cardigan or sweater with a skirt or long pants they can easily move in.

my kid just kinned mk and i am overjoyed and also having a Lot of complex emotions right now. i am in no way ready to potentially have to confront how shitty of a mentor/kinda parental figure i was, i wasn't horrible and i definitely worked to get better but. i wasn't good either. i have a lot of guilt in my heart over how i should've been better for mk and how i could've been better, but things are way different now and even then i doubt we're canonmates. .mainly because a bit after i got back out of the memory scroll me and macaque finally started to talk things through and became friends/friends with a very complicated kind of romantic kind of not relationship and they [mk] do not enjoy shadowpeach stuff in the slightest. which is actually kind of similar to how mk was in my memories because he thought me and macaque no longer being enemies/rivals was weird and didn't like it.
but also regardless of if we are canonmates or not i am still now having to slightly confront these emotions and i am NOT enjoying it. i really wish that i was better for the kid, he seriously deserved it and he still does.

So remember when I said I've never seen Lego Monkie Kid? Still haven't, but I decided to read your fic, Mr. Zhu's Kid, because I'm certain I've read all your Ninjago fics.
It was a fun read! It's sad on the fifth chapter. Why was Pigsy disappointed when MK called him Baba/dad? :( well tbh since I've never even seen the show I don't really know how close the two characters are in canon lol
Yo bro that's flattering you went in to read something of a different fandom!
So that was just me writing to explain something. Pigsy denies being Mk's dad a couple times in the show and my hc about it is that he feels wildly inadequate and is just down on himself. The reason I actually started writing this fic is cause Mk seems to have these wild abandonment issues in the show, but also?? he's been around Pigsy his whole life??? So this fic was me trying to explore maybe why he has such wild abandonment issues despite having a parental figure :P
Tumblr media
YESSSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
YOOOOOO?????? yeah bro check it out! I will say keep in mind season 5 (if you get that far) there is that animation studio change so heads up on that but otherwise um its a freaking amazing show I'd definitely recommend giving it a watch!

10 Characters, 10 Fandoms, 10 Tags
Tagged by @kingdomoftyto here. Took me three days to get around to it but I did it. I’ll put links for the ones that you can get online. A few fandoms I have some honorable mentions since it was a tough choice.
1. Hunter (The Owl House) - This is the character that drew me into The Owl House in the first place. Saw the clip from Hunting Palismen where he talks about thinking he had no future in a world like this on my dash and had to look further into it. I just want good things for him in the end, but the angst possibilities are also good. Honorable mention to Luz since I love her but the fav goes to Hunter.
2. Marius von Raum (The Mechanisms) - A gremlin. In The Bifrost Incident his short scene in “Expert Testimony” is great. His voice, the dramatic way he pouts as soon as he is told that Lyfrassir Edda doesn't want the story told through song. Just very fun. Honorable mention to Ashes O'Reilly and DrumBot Brian.
3. Lars (Steven Universe) - His character arc was great. He wasn't comfortable being himself for a long time and then when he finally was he flourished.
4. Macaque (Lego Monkie Kid) - Disaster man, needs Therapy. First appears as a villain and now seems to be taking the Vegeta route in character development. I think he is an interesting character. Honorable mention Red Son.
5. Wolf (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) - Says "I don't like other people and will let you die" precedes to keep the others alive and help them. Wolf is that character that her trauma makes it hard for her trusts others even though she does want that connection with others (otherwise she would have left Kipo very early).
6. Tris (Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce) - Rough around the edges and also has trauma reasons for not trusting others. Shoved from relative to relative, bullied by her peers of course she is going to come across as mean when she first meets people. Her love for learning, her love of animals, and her loyalty once earned all make her such a great person. Also, love her magic. Honorable mention to the other kids of Discipline Cottage: Sandry, Briar, and Daja.
7. Jon Sims (The Magnus Archives) - Disaster man. Trauma defense mechanisms and some poor life choices make him fascinating to follow. He wants to do good, but well the story he is in well doesn’t really make that easy to do.
8. Ray Crisp aka Berzerker (X-Men Evolution) - "I'm going to fry this turkey." I love this quote ok. But I think I might be one of the few people that like his look, and I think part of it is that he stands out a bit from the others. There are hints about his backstory but since he is a minor character in the series his backstory is basically free real estate. Love his powers as well. Honorable mention Amara.
9. Sidney Malik (Widdershins) - His my icon for one. The icon is from a scene of him struggling to figure out how to word something in a letter (he was trying to tell his parents that he had been expelled from university) and that just felt fitting. One of the reasons that I don't post many things is just struggling to figure out how to word things in the first place. But he is just so excited about the adventure that he is dragged into. He is a very happy character. Honorable mentions to Harry, Mal, and Ben.
10. Papyrus (Undertale) - I just love skeleton. I never played none Mercy Routes but I know from hearing about the other endings that he understands the danger that he is in fighting the human but hopes that he can get through to them or failing that at least buy time for others to escape. He is a wonderful person. He has high standards for himself. Just love him. He wants friends. How can anyone kill this man?
Lego Monkie Kid can be watched on Amazon while Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts can be watched on Netflix.
Ah, I do not have ten mutuals so I won’t be tagging ten people for this. Feel free to ignore if you don’t want to do this. @emeraldmew @miyuzaki-1 @shea @actofcreation @theakumabaka

Here's a way that Demon King Red could be less crazy towards MK and it involves the AU were PIF gives Prisoner MK a love potion.
While Red hates that MK was given a love potion he can't really cure or show his displeasure less he insults his mother efforts. So he keeps M.K like that, while its an uncomfortable situation he vows once Monkey King is defeated and the world is his families he cure MK.
Though he would lie if it didn't feel nice to have MK smiling at him and eagerly if drunkenly conversing with him.
But than the day comes of his families defeated and Red is left with a choice. And as he runs back to MK, he's so unsure of what he was going to do.
Did he want to cure him finally? Did he want to take him away to a safe palace?
He runs until he finally at the palace and in front of an innocent smiling MK.
He doesn't have time to make a decision though as Monkey King slams him to the side. He could hear MK screaming for him and his friends trying to calm him down.
When Red finally recovers enough to get out of the wall he was knocked into he sees Monkey King examining the face of a struggling and crying MK being held by Sandy and Pigsy.
Then the demigod face slowly turned to his direction.
"What did you do to him"? he asked coldly.
A murderous aura was sent his way and in a panic Red flees for his life.
Monkey King obviously can see this was the work of a love potion and luckily knows the cure.
While under the effects of the love potion MK mind was in an cloudy haze that only seemed to clear around Red, where a rush of love and happiness courses through him whenever he saw the Demon. Those moments of clarity were addicting and his only oasis in his muddled state.
When MK finally comes too he shocked that almost six months have passed and is sickened that he had been drugged that whole time by the person he thought he loved and trusted.
Red of course is a wreck and is incredibly ashamed of himself, he had nothing and once MK was cured he was sure to hate him. After taking time to grieve he vowed to become a better person to make up for the horrible things he's done.
He becomes the new Demon King and establishes a court for the sake of keeping in line most unruly demons.
Eventually when things are established he sends a letter to Team Monkie Kid, stating that with the new Demon court they have nothing to fear and were open to creating alliances with the group.
Curious of this supposedly friendly Demon King, the group visit the castle. Imagine their surprise and shock when it's Red-Son sitting on the thrown.
The group is on edge and ready themselves for a fight, while MK looks at the Demon in horror and fright.
Demon King Red tries to say that he's not their enemy but of course no one believes him.
Then he tries to apologize directly to MK, trying to say that it was never his intention to put him under that love potion. That it was all his mother's idea.
While MK was silent during the "apology" he suddenly exploded.
"It wasn't your parents who tricked me though! Wasn't your parents who locked me up! Wasn't your parents who put that fillet on me to control me! That was all you Red"! He shouted "You let this happen, you didn't try to stop it"
The Demon King tried to interrupt but MK kept going.
"SIX MONTHS RED" he screamed "SIX months you've stolen from me! Six months I can barely remember! Six months I'm still recovering from" !
And it was true, because of that incident MK became rather paranoid around food. Barely eating because in the back of his mind he didn't know if it was tampered with. Only now getting used to food that someone else had made and only if M.K knew them personally.
"And the worst thing is Red, I can't figure out if you were ever going to cure me" MK said nearly in tears "Be honest, we're you....were you going to leave me like that"?
The Demon King tried to deny it but as he stuttered in his words it was evident there was hesitation there.
At that point Mei says that he can keep whatever alliance he wants and shove it were the sun don't shine, because they were through trusting him.
Red knew their anger and distrust was expected, but to see those stares of pure loathing really hurt.
And worst of all he knew he deserved them.
Oh, this is a continuation of this ask from a while back, where Iron Fan gives Prisoner MK a love potion.
This is really great, Anon! Yeah, having MK under the love potion all that time would really change the perspective of both Red and MK, so this makes sense. And I love the confrontation you wrote at the end there because no way MK would forgive him! He's done way too much aside from the love potion to ever deserve that.

Hey! This is my first time doing this ! But can you wirte a scenario where in Winter's cursed AU where MK's parents try to come back and get custody again?( With prompt 14 and 45) With protective monkey dads? Have a great rest of your day! 💕
Thank you so much, I hope you like this as your first fill! It was very enjoyable to write since I had this idea months ago but never had the chance to put it down. But you’re gonna get a little more than just protective monkey dads! This is set pretty far into @winterpower98 's AU so he has a lot of people behind him.
Am I scaring you?/You may technically be an adult, but you’re still my child.
It didn’t take much guessing to figure out exactly what had made MK look like he wanted to run for the hills the second he picked up his phone. There were only a few very specific scenarios that could make him react like that now. But it was the way his face hardened and his whisper yelled into it that made Pigsy realize exactly who they were dealing with without the young man saying who it was.
Again.
“This is the third time you’ve gotten a new number for this,” he said, trying to keep his voice down. “I’ve told you already, the answer is no.”
"Tang," Pigsy whispered, nudging his favorite freeloader to get his attention better. "Go keep an eye outside. The last time they did this they showed up an hour later. If they do we're shuttering the shop early."
"On it," Tang said with a nod, standing with another nod to MK as he left.
"I am an adult, you cannot do anything to- yes I'm sure. Yes... yes, because I have a lawyer now mom!"
MK’s tone of voice made Pigsy smirk proudly. Had this been a few years ago MK would have had so much difficulty even just talking back to his parents, going quiet and shrinking into himself. Now?
He was standing up straight, speaking firmly and calmly, raising his voice a bit even. In the years Pigsy had known the young man he had changed drastically when it came to his parents. His and Tang’s attempts to raise his confidence and teach him to speak up for himself had certainly helped in that regard, but his attained abilities and strength as the Monkie Kid had no doubt given him a boost as well.
Not to mention the knowledge that not only did he have two father figures behind him... he had four (granted, Pigsy had mixed feelings for many reasons about both of them, but he’d warmed up to them when he saw how much MK had grown attached to them). Add Sandy, Mei, and Red Son to the mix?
He had a powerful group behind him to support him in whatever he needed.
"What do you mean you're already here?" MK said suddenly, drawing Pigsy's attention back from his inner thoughts.
"Whoa, hey, I said you can’t go in there!" Tang's voice suddenly rang through the entrance as someone pushed him backwards into the shop. He stumbled, almost falling flat on his rear and just barely catching himself on the counter. "You've been banned from this establishment and you know i-"
"MK," the woman who entered said as she closed her flip phone shut with a snap.
A man entered behind her, matching her in simple modern fashion. He shared MK's hair while the woman shared his eyes. It was obvious who they were to anyone seeing the three of them together.
Tang turned, shooting Pigsy a quick sorry that was met with an easy smile and a nod before the chef scowled at the two of them.
"... mom, dad," MK replied, slipping his phone into his pocket. He stood at his full height, back straight and no sign of hesitation on his face. "I told you, I'm not coming home."
"And we told you that we realized we made a mistake," his mother said, voice soft but with a softly uncertain undertone to it. Like she didn't quote believe her own words but was convincing herself otherwise. "Please, let us make it right."
"You had plenty of time to make it right all the times I tried to contact you before I became the Monkie Kid," MK said easily, practiced and firm. "Besides, I'm an adult now. You can't force me to do anything I don't want to do."
"You may technically be an adult," MK's mother said with a sigh, reaching out to grab his shoulder. "But you’re still my child."
Pigsy jumped in front of her, a sharp glare his only weapon. He knew better than to threaten these two, much like some of his more rowdy customers, but he would still put himself bodily between the young man he viewed as a son and anyone making him uncomfortable when he had the ability to do so.
"If you so much as breathe on my kid-"
"But he's not your kid now is he, pig man," MK's father sniped back, venom dripping from ever word and making the entire restaurant freeze in response.
"Excuse me," a new voice called out from behind them, a figure pressing a firm hand on his shoulder. "What were you saying to my brother?"
The reaction was instantaneous. MK’s father jumping to the side with a yelp, turning to come face to face with a less than pleasantly smiling Sun Wukong and a scowling Macaque behind him, neither bothering to keep up any semblance of a human disguise at the moment.
"I believe my student made it clear to you multiple times that he is an adult who can make his own decisions about who he wants to live with," he said coldly, moving to stand beside Pigsy with his fur raised and teeth barred in a way that could be mistaken for a smile. It certainly wasn't one if you knew anything about monkeys, though.
"Scram," Macaque chimed in, voice lower and far more threatening than anyone else in the building as he took a step forward. Though his words were fewer his tone was stronger and held just as much weight.
MK's parents took a step back in turn, stepping back into the entryway itself.
"Y-you may be his mentor," MK's mother started, her tone losing the odd uncertainty under it and gaining a frustration and confusion instead. "But I'm his mother."
"Who left him to his own devices and didn't even try to show interest in reconnecting until he made something of himself," Macaque snapped, snapping his teeth together in a warning bite as he took another step forward with a growl.
His parents stumbled back out of the shop, eyes wide and watching as MK was surrounded on either side by 4 others. Pigsy and Tang on his right, Wukong and Macaque on his left.
"Am I scaring you?" Macaque asked with a chuckle, letting out a noise of surprise when Wukong's tail touched his arm.
"I think he's got this now," Wukong said with a soft smile.
"Mom, dad," MK said with his voice still firm and sure. "I'm not coming back home with you. I'm an adult and you can't force me to come back. And if you keep trying like this I'll never give you the chance to let me chose to on my own."
The duo looked at their son, his father's eyes wide in shock and disbelief and his mother's eyes much the same with an undercurrent of... something. Something none of them could really place.
"I think we s-"
“You are not good people!" MK's dad snapped, standing up to his full height to tower over everyone else. "I caution you against this! This is your last chance to accept the damage you’ve caused! And if MK does not go back with us I will have no choice but to take further action! I will be contacting my lawyer to open a lawsuit against you and further more this will ruin your life with insurmountable debt!”
He smirked, crossing his arms over his chest in his assured victory as everyone else stared at him in shock and disbelief. Including his wife, who looked even more incredulous than any of them.
"D-debt?" MK eventually managed to get out, an unbelieving smile forming on his face. Before he started to laugh and march forward. "Debt? DEBT!? FUCK your debt! We'll take our chances DAD, Monkey King has a treasure trove and the best lawyer in all of China so take your debt and STUFF IT!" He raised both middle fingers toward his parents before jumping up to grab the handle of the shutter door and slam is shut before either of his parents could rush back in.
"INSURMOUNTABLE DEBT!" He yelled one last time, almost manically before sitting at a nearby table and covering his face with his hands as he burst into laughter. "I-I just- you can't threaten the Monkey King of all people with financial problems how am I related to this man!?"
The two pairs of parental figures looked at each other before laughing themselves, finding it difficult not to follow in MK's lead given how ridiculously that tense situation ended.
"You handled that pretty damn well, MK," Wukong said with proud smile as he ruffled his student’s hair.
"It's a lot easier when I know I have a bunch of dads and pops to back me up," he replied with a smile.

Sneak Peek of Chapter 5 of Stone Rebirth
I am probably not going to be finished writing chapter 5 this week since chapter 5 will be the longest chapter so far as well as other things (Totally not caused by me getting distracted with recreating Monkie Kid characters in the sims 4, heh). I'll just say, hope you got your fill of fluff since things going to get into angst territory pretty quickly past halfway point in chapter 5.
It might be a week or so until it's finished, but I will share with you the beginning of the chapter. Also, the title of the chapter may change in the future.
Stone Rebirth Chapter 5: Tail Training (Intro)
It would be an understatement to say that packing the next morning was hectic. MK could hardly contain his excitement as he rushed to grab things all the things he needed to pack. So far, he had packed three days’ worth of clothes in a duffle bag along with some personal care items. Pigsy would keep asking MK if he packed this or that so that MK wouldn’t forget something while Tang would occasionally sneak something into MK’s bag when no one was looking.
After the events of yesterday, Pigsy gave the Monkey King three days to train MK at Flower Fruit Mountain, which afterwards the stone monkey soon excused himself so that he can get things ready before MK gets there. It was still unclear whether MK was going to go there on his own or if the Monkey King was going to pick him up and take him there. Then again, MK hadn’t asked Pigsy about that and MK kind of fell asleep as his noodle dads were discussing it with his new monkey dad. Its still a bit odd that MK already considered his mentor a father figure, even went so far to call the Monkey King his Ba. Mei had kind of playfully teased MK about that little tidbit earlier in the morning through text.
MK made his way downstairs with his tail in his hands, not wanting to trip down the steps as he went to check on his dads. As the kid went down the last step, he spotted Tang sitting in his usual spot eating a bowl of noodles while looking through some books. MK waved at Tang who looked up from his book and waved back.
“MK, how are you feeling this morning?”
“Doing good Mr. Tang,” MK said happily as he let go of his tail allowing it to freely move behind him, “Just really looking forward to training with the Monkey King today.”
The scholar hummed, taking another bite of noodles before gesturing for MK to sit next to him, the two talked among themselves for a bit until Pigsy came down and joined them. Pigsy sat down on the other side of MK, elbows perched on the table and opened his mouth to speak but paused for a few moments before speaking.
“Kid…I know you are excited to go train with the Monkey King…but…,” Pigsy stumbled on his words, avoiding eye contact with MK as he did, “…just try to keep in touch, update us on how you’re doing every so often, you know.”
Tang hummed in agreement, both parents agreeing that they wanted MK to keep in contact with them while the kid is gone. MK smiled and told them to not worry about it, that he will update them on a frequent basis.
It wasn’t long after that a phone started ringing, Pigsy took out his phone and set it on the table. The caller ID was unknown, and Tang looked at it for a second and sighed.
“I think we didn’t ask the Monkey King for his number,” Tang commented with a finger holding up his chin, “It might be him.”
“Or someone is calling about our vehicle’s extended warranty…for the fifth time this morning,” Pigsy remarked before grumbling something to himself, “I swear one day someone will call using one of those numbers and find that they cannot reach out to one of us.”
The chef slid the answer call icon on the phone and put it on speaker mode, his voice raised as he spoke, “This better be the Monkey King calling, else I’m blocking this number!”
“Okay…chill out bud,” the voice of the Great Sage came through the phone’s speaker, “I’m just calling to tell you I should be there in a few to pick the kid up.”
“A few what?” Pigsy demanded for the sage to clarify, but the loud whooshing sound that blurted out of the speakers, which MK folded his ears back to muffle the sound of, also made it impossible to hear a response if there even was one. When it stopped there was a sound of something swishing followed by a knock on the door.
Tang didn’t seem to be surprised, the scholar standing up and making his way towards the door and turning the knob. MK went to peak at who was behind the door, the kid thought he would have been greeted by the sight of a monkey with orange fur and a peach shaped marking on their face. What stood there instead was a 5-foot 6 man with tan skin and orange hair that swept back. The man wore a orange shirt with red pants that were held up by a turquoise cloth belt. The kid then recognized that it was his mentor after squinting to see the ginger tail that wriggled behind them.
“Monkey King!” MK chirped excitedly as he rushed towards his mentor and threw their arms around them, “You made it!”
“Hey kid,” the disguised monkey greeted MK by ruffling their hair, “You ready to head out?”
The smaller monkey hummed and nodded in response. Before MK left he went over to Mr. Tang and Pigsy and gave them a farewell embrace. While wrapped in the arms of his noodle dads, MK found himself nuzzling up against the couple. There was also a soft  rumble in the kid’s throat that wanted to desperately escape.
“Take care of yourself kid,” Pigsy nuzzled MK back.
Nuzzling was something MK knew was a way demons showed affection to those close to them. When the pig demon first began to nuzzle against MK the kid was confused until the meaning behind the gesture was explained to them. MK also found that now he felt a deeper sense of warmth and security as he nuzzled against his adopted dads.
“I’ll miss you Dadsy and Mr. Tang,” MK whispered before breaking away from the couple and heading towards his mentor. Before getting even close to the door, MK turned and gave Pigsy and Tang a smile, as if to say that there was no need for the couple to worry. Then the kid turned and headed towards the door where the Monkey King was waiting for him.
