(This last phrase actually comes from one of the principles in tai chi. In order to deliver a move, one must find the balance between moving through a circle and moving forward in a straight line; the principle of yin and yang is at the foundation of tai chi and is what is at the core of this phrase too.)

You know, now that I have a little collection of GO fanarts, I think I'm realizing that I'm not so good at making a well balanced image with an effective composition because I'm into concept art and costume/prop design more than I am into art itself. I was watching a video the other day about how a well made artpiece comes from highlighting few specific details while leaving wide "empty" spaces where the eye can rest. But every time I work on a piece I found myself too attached to all the little details and easter-eggs I came up with and don't want to lose them! So I end up with super-busy images where every centimiter of space is hyper rendered and there is no clear focus point.

Maybe this is why I often want to go back to a design and put it into a "proper" image, like I did with Idolaters.

If the goods are meant to be showcased in videos or other projects of the kind (permission must be discussed beforehand), please give proper credit and link to my pages (instagram, deviantart or just one of them) in the description.

The goods will be distributed digitally only. Printing is only allowed for personal use and you cannot resell the commission under any circumstances or claim to be the original author of the artpiece.

Unless it has been agreed otherwise, I’m able to choose to display the commissioned art on my galleries and portfolio to promote my work.

I do not allow my art to be used for NFTs, training AIs or crypto transactions.

Things I can draw… Characters from shows/anime, video games and manga/comics I’m familiar with (examples: Sonic The Hedgehog, Homestuck, Pokémon, NiGHTS, Skullgirls, Splatoon, Hades (by Supergiant games), The Legend of Zelda, YuGiOh!, Promare, Undertale/Deltarune, The Owl House, Trigun, Dr. Stone); characters from a series I’m not familiar with if given proper references; crossovers, fantasy, scifi, animals, fanfic illustrations, OCs (if given proper references), and possibly more. Feel free to ask! Things I will not draw… Gore, vore, rape, abuse, offensive themes (racism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.), RPF (real person fanfiction) or shipping real people, I reserve the right to refuse any request.

Upcharges

My limit of characters to draw in one picture/comic is 1, you will be charged for every additional character in the drawing. For an illustration, the price will be multiplied by the number of total characters. The backgrounds will remain one charge. For a comic, every additional complex character is $30 for a pencil page, $40 for an inked page, and $50 for a coloured page.

If your character has a complex design (Examples: detailed armor, complex clothing or jewelry, additional features…) a charge of $15 will apply.

Excessive changes will be charged. On your third and every subsequent major modification request, you will be charged $20.

My limit for short comics is 1 page. If you want more, it will be multiplied by the number of pages and type of commission (ex. a 2 page pencil comic is $100 x 2 = $200).

HOW TO PAY: You will receive an invoice from my Paypal email once the commission has been agreed upon. I will not start working on the commission until the invoice is paid. No refunds. Payment in euros is preferable, if possible. Otherwise USD is always accepted.

My name is Mafuki and I'm looking to run an art group for twisted wonderland! We're looking for twst yume artists who are also looking for friends!

The goal of our group will be to collaborate to create artpieces together (ex. art style challenge), and collab with each other (ex, 2 artists one base)! Additional thoughts below the cut:

Similar in style to the movie poster mockup I did, these ones actually came first and were the practice works for the final poster(s). I have a collage variation of these two in particular that I might eventually post as well.

They work well to emulate a style that the video series itself uses, that is, showing monochromatic humans in a green-ish, natural (forest) environment. So I simply used a similar concept for both Wyatt and the Giant, but added a contour around them to further make them stand out.

I really enjoyed making these, they were among the first things I made when I got back into GIMP.

Heads up it's a very heavy Video and Shows the MC coping with the innevitable fact of a loved one who will die and has come to terms with it

oh this is very lovely anon....a little read more to explain some heavy feelings, with mentions of terminal illness and death

i'm glad to see that something like this can come through in the character-building that i do, because i base my ideas around working through a lot of what i have been through. illness is kind of a big through line for me, and while i normally don't talk a whole lot about my personal life/specifics of what i'm dealing with, i know what it's like to live through this scene. i lost my mom to cancer, and i now live with a chronic illness that's changed a lot about how i can live/what i'm able to do. i think it's part of the reason why i always want a happy ending (other than being a sap lol) - life doesn't often get to go that way, people who are sick often leave after going through months or years of suffering, and all that's left is emptiness where they used to be. i did consider having lucifer go in that direction, having him slowly lose his strength once he was disconnected from hell until he left only ash behind, but i'm a softie who wants those miracles, to let lucifer live and let his "kids" reconnect with him, even if he's not who he once was. it lets me explore much more, it gives the characters happiness myself and so many others don't get, but i also don't want people just cured or all better. living with trauma and chronic illness is important to me too, to show that there can be healing and people can love you so much as you are now, even if you've been changed or if you can't do everything you once did. mike and lucifer are probably the biggest examples of this, and their characters carry a lot of my own personal baggage though i tend not to think of it that way - they are themselves, shaped from characters of mythology in coming from a catholic background, pieces of myself and whatever the heck im working through, and just growing into themselves and how i see their voice.

for the dect piece, i thought of what would happen had lucifer died, what he could think and what mike would if they saw each other one last time. mike is so burdened, he has let this devour him and yet he couldn't grieve, but lucifer greets him with an extended hand. he is always there for him, no matter the mistakes or the regrets. he loves him unconditionally, and he doesn't believe mike should be alone in this moment. mike can't remember that love, a love that comes without strings attached or that can be withdrawn, yet it is so simply given that he remembers why he loved lucifer in return. and that's just the thing i guess. i want a world where the love doesn't have to end, where people can always find each other again and if they wish to reconnect, they always will. this isn't how everyone grieves and i absolutely find value in all the different ways people find solace through their work, but that's just my lil two cents.
