i was SO delighted when i saw this ask because if there are two things i love it’s 1) the sound of music and 2) icemav so naturally i would love to combine the sound of music and icemav right? FORTUNATELY i already have discussed this before with both @nicejobkid and @beterparker so i have Thoughts about this.

(i also have so many thoughts about the sound of music being mav’s favorite movie in canon but i can’t find the post i made on that right now so i’m just going to sit quietly and seethe)

but YES icemav sound of music au … the a/b/o verse was NOT included in our original draft but hey, what the hell! i can most certainly get behind it. i don’t have that many ideas for the a/b/o aspect of it right now but i love love LOVE the sound of music aspect of it…

just, ooooh i love the idea of mav being the one to teach ice to open his heart again, and just being so achingly mav that ice is helpless to stop himself from falling so hard and so fast after he starts to dethaw again… i love the idea of the daggers being their kids too bc those kids would ABSOLUTELY try to play matchmaker after things start to heat up between ice and mav… maybe we could have a little fun and spruce the au up with some original scenes too because i just know that hangman would be pushing ice and mav together like barbies, little shit that he is… phoenix too bc anything hangman does she has to do better LOL

and on mav’s side ugh the idea of him developing a very ill-advised crush on his hot boss who wants nothing to do with him is unfortunately so on-brand 😔 especially one he thinks is majorly out of his league (because in this au ice certainly would be)…

it’s interesting to think about how mav’s circumstances might affect his personality a little bit, the same with ice… but the most interesting and wholesome change to explore might be his faith (if one were to stick close to canon and make the abbey his home like maria) vs his sexuality and like… father viper (FATHER VIPER WOULD BE SO FUNNY) giving mav some very supportive lgbt ally parent advice about god loving all his children etc etc <3

maybe that would even be why mav leaves at first bc he’s not just in love with his boss who happens to be engaged to somebody else, he’s in love with a MAN … but love wins in the end and they all live happily ever after <3

anyway since you mentioned a/b/o thoughts like i said, i still don’t have many but uh . there might be something there with captain von trapp’s whistle 😏

Arneis: Detests sweets and avoids ice cream like the plague. But would probably have a little raspberry sorbet if she was out with Lily and Lily wanted ice cream.

Lily: Loves anything fruit flavored. She’d probably eat a concerning amount of strawberry ice cream if someone wasn’t there to stop her.

Banneson: He probably doesn’t even consume enough calories a day to go past triple digits and his diet is atrocious. If you give him ice cream he’d explode but he’d also probably like mint chocolate chip.

Epi: She would like Cookie Dough ice cream but mainly just for the cookie dough chunks, and she’d also bury that ice cream under so many toppings and whipped cream and junk that she’s hardly even eating ice cream anymore.

as exciting as it would be to write a book series about my dead ex's children, lemony had to devote his life to writing asoue and I'm not sure if i'd want such a big project ahah,, I would try to help them, of course, but i don't think that's how i'd go about it

on the other hand, writing a boring book about the littlest elf could be done in ten minutes, if i really rushed through it. i could just make something like: "Once upon a time there was an elf. He was smaller than all the other elves. The end."

Luffy would be vibrating out of his skin with excitement detailing how he would take care of Zoro and build him a special little enclosure and make him little swords out of sticks so he can still achieve his dream of being the world's greatest swordsworm and feed him worm sized portions of meat and booze everyday and carry him around everywhere so they can still do everything together.

he also delightfully rambles about how he could be a worm also and they'd go on worm adventures together and make friends with all sorts of other bugs and how much fun they'd have.

An app for collecting GPS pings and assembling them on a map in real-time, an algorithm that connects geographic points to predict something’s movement taking a hundred other variables into account, simplified versions of incredibly complex homemade programs so they can run on incredibly limited CPU’s.

(Barbara wants to buy the kid a PC. It seems he’s got natural talent, but he keeps making reference to a PDA. Talk about 90’s! This guy’s hardware probably predates his birth.)

On the left, the flumph! Telepathing tentacle pancake with cartoonish levels of joy! 2 foot (61 cm) across with dexterous tentacles that are just as long or more! It feeds off ambient vibes (especially good ones) so you know it's gonna be focused on taking care of you.

On the right, Vine Blight! Human-sized, made of vines, and can create field of restraining animated vines! It's also the only blight with enough intelligence to talk, a voice it uses primarily to taunt people or bargain with them. It is as smart as an ogre though, so not exactly bright but it IS sentient

So Luffy and Law reunion after two years, some totally biased thoughts...

Luffy really just recognized Law right away like that, huh? After two years of not meeting at all, and barely having interacted prior to Marineford. What was the first thing he recognized that he was sure that's the guy who saved him then? (Is there something you would like to share with the class, Luffy?)

It's so funny because nothing could've prepared Law for Luffy's sheer joy when they met again. He was so genuinely happy to find Law and it's ruining Law's emo vibes.

Like damn, he built up a reputation!

Pretty much everyone else up to that point has called him cruel, ruthless and all that. Back to Marineford and Sabaody, people talked about bad rumors about him. Even when he saved Luffy, they doubted his intentions. They were so sure there must be a catch to Law's help. (There was no catch.) It's just fun to think about because here Luffy is treating him as something good that happened in his life. Poor Law couldn't handle that much positive attention.

And uhm no, trying to deflect saving someone's life from death as "nothing" or something like that wouldn't really work. Especially when Law really didn't need to risk it all like that to get Luffy out of Marineford. They barely had a connection and even a potential rivalry is hardly worth the risk. Calling it a "whim" is the most Law can call it before he starts questioning his life again. But whatever the reason is, the fact still stands that he helped Luffy... And isn't that what matters, anyways? To Luffy, at least.

Law: "We are both pirates." (we're enemies)

Luffy: ":D Okay, anyways, you saved my life."

Law !!!! He ADORES you already !! It's over !! And giving more helping hand doesn't actually help your case !!

Also more exhibits of Luffy being excited over Law that I just find so cute. The way he perked up when Law was mentioned... He likes him.

He didn't say anything during Brownbeard's story until Law was mentioned, Luffy my guy.... He likes him so much, not necessarily romantic, but Luffy really just likes Law.

Law really stood no chance and asking Luffy for that alliance was the final nail to his coffin. He sealed his fate to be Luffy's super duper mega best friend FOR LIFE.
