i think he's a great mirror type character for the mc depending on how much you draw on the default ra-on and their characterization, but more specifically their feeling of inferiority to solomon (which i take for my mc loyal). both the mc and bael are stuck filling in for a role for a king that neither feels they're well equipped for or were even born to hold and the fact that bael's so used to taking the fall that he's automatically ready to do it for you too is just. man. orz

obligatory disclaimer to all the "its just mc eggs its not that deep" people that this is about characters. we are allowed to post character analysis, even ones that arent positive, about fictional characters no matter what medium theyre from. this is 10000% about the characters, not the admins and there are moments i may not know about since i cant watch every pov but heres my thoughts on the sunny/leo "beef"

which it feels wrong, at this point, to even call it beef when its mostly one sided on leo's part and the adults are failing both sunny and leo

does leo have the right to be wary about the new eggs? 100%, absolutely

does that excuse her recent treatment of sunny? no

is leo to blame for her behavior? well, no, she's a child

do i think q!foolish and q!tubbo are good fathers? yes

did they both drop the ball in regards to this situation and should have handled it better? yes, but that doesnt mean its not too late now

again, i dont fault leo for being distrustful and cautious of the new eggs, its more than reasonable given what shes gone through. im glad she's warmed up to pepito and i think it's a good choice on foolish's part to not force her to interact with anyone she doesnt like while still encouraging her to try. that being said, i think he should say something to leo about how she has recently been treating sunny because it is quickly getting to the point where it is bullying, not "beef"

to be fair, maybe he hasnt seen [in character/roleplay] the extent to which she has treated sunny, and obviously none of the parents are aware of the baby fight club, but even then, someone should say something to leo if they see behavior similar to how leo treated sunny after the fight [although i believe foolish and roier are two of the only people she will actually listen to /neu] with that being said, i dont think foolish takes it very seriously and at the end day has a rather "well what can you do" type of mentality about it.

we know that leo is stubborn and can be a little hard headed, which is one of the reasons why i personally love her, but its been toeing the line in regards to sunny and i feel as though she crossed it during the baby fight club. sunny has been trying to take leo's feelings into consideration [among other eggs, such as tallulah, who excuse it as distrust of the new eggs despite being warm/neutral to both em and pepito while being harsher to sunny].

the fact that the fight ended and sunny was trying to leave when leo blocked the exit and continued to hit sunny shows that her feelings towards sunny are more than just apprehension. even ramon, leo's triplet, felt the need to step to in and separate them out of concern for sunny's well being.

i can also see the nuance of leo's behavior: its the first time where she has disliked someone and been forced to be in close vicinity/interact with them, and no one has taught her that this sort of behavior isnt ok so how is she supposed to know better?

its not an excuse by any means, but it doesnt make it any less bullying than it is. this is where the adults are failing not just sunny [by being bystanders] but theyre failing leo, too.

and sure, disagreements and fights between the eggs is interesting.. when it comes from both parties but when you have one egg--one child--who doesnt want to be around another egg child in consideration of their feelings while the other egg child vandalizes their things and hits them to the point of almost being downed--that's not a disagreement. thats bullying.

does leo have to like sunny? no

do i think that they have more in common and similar feelings of loneliness that they both dont realize, which could make way for a friendship? yes

would i mind if leo never warms up to sunny? no

its realistic. sometimes kids just.. dont get along and thats ok, its good to teach children that we arent going to get along with everyone or even like them [and not everyone is going to like us and we shouldnt try to force them to], but its also important to teach children that not liking somebody doesnt make it okay to treat them poorly or bully them.

in fact, this would be a really good situation in which both leo and sunny can learn the aforementioned, especially since their fathers are good friends that enjoy one another's company so i dont see them stopping hangouts anytime soon so leo and sunny will hopefully learn to, at the very least, be civil with one another. i hope this is the direction the story goes because a bully arc is one of the last things i personally want to watch

i understand its hard, especially when their first languages are not one that they share, but thats what the qsmp is all about, isnt it? coming together in spite of language barriers

im hoping the sunny/leo situation takes a turn for the better, even if it takes time to get to a point where they are mostly indifferent to one another w/o excessive antagonizing

with all that said, i will always have faith in the admins to give us their best, even if the outcome isnt what we wanted or expected

pjs daycare was a AU for undertale made by blogthegreatrouge. the au, was as it says, a daycare. basically all the sans aus were children, from like 3-6 i think, and the characters were... sanscest ship characters or sans fusions. one of the caretakers, and our- basic mc, is Paperjam, or PJ, the fusion between ink sans and error sans. i say fusion because i think that what they were originally intended to be before the fandom... yoinked them. aslo i refuse to ship sans aus together because thats WEIRD AS ALL SHIT. anyway. those are the basics, shipkids/fusion sanses are the caretakers and the sanses are children. interesting concept ig (i will make it better trust)

ok now that we have the basics down, lets get to the story. this was a ask blog so there wasnt much story, but from what i do remember, there were 2 major plot lines. the first plot line was uhm. borderline gr00ming. basically fresh sans, the satire sans au, has a crush on PJ. this fresh is i think about 3 yrs old. so ok, hes a kid, kids are weird. he claims he wants to marry pj. again, child, children say that stuff alot. and you think pj would be yk, normal and be like " no no, we cant do that" nicely and shit. WELL HE DOESNT. THIS BITCH SAYS "we cant get married righ now, but when your all grown up we can ^^" IM SORRY HUH. SIR. WHAT. not only that, later, there is a ask of how would pj react to adult fresh. in which its super weird with really gross sexual tension. not only that, lets follow in this aus rule, aus made by the same creator/s are gonna be related. ok. error, fresh and geno/aftertale are brothers. kinda weird but lets keep going here. pj in rouges interpretation is a ship child. A SHIP CHILD. MEANING FRESHIE HERE IS IS UNCLE?? ITS SO WEIRD?? also there is a mini plot line where ink and error like each other and its a big deal even tho, again, CHILDREN. also same person but i digress.

our next plotline is... where shit hits the fan. so, error, gets deathly sick and needs to go to the hospital. didnt know monsters had hospitals but ok. geno, error's older brother who is at most, 5, gets really depressed. and ik depression can come at any age, however, GENO here tries to commit farewell. this. doesn't. make. sense. a child isnt old enough to even comprehend death that well, let alone have the feeling to die AND ACT ON IT. not only that, right after stopping geno from leaving this mortal plane (isnt he immortal though?) they completely forget about it and have this weird romance between palette and goth (swap sans and dream sans) (geno and reaper) and its super weird, and gross (not as gross as nerd and jock but still) and palette is weirdly obsessive over goth and shit so its all just a huge pile of SHIT

oh yeah there is also this weird plot line with like this trio of mini villains, one being rouges self insert i think so. yeah.

anyway, that was pj's daycare. i will be reworking and remaking the entirety of this au. so uh.

#1215: uhhhh, julia-related

just after i yapped about my hogwarts inquiries project i had self-combusted into Strong Feelz about a scene that happens after the high keep mainquest (sharp was Very Not Happy about what julia and natty did for the exactly the same reasons matilda wouldn't be)

ok so that project is pivotal to the julia's story development because what essentially im doing is drawing the timeline of the canon events. i was only able to plot until the end of october. that second trial's date falls on oct 31st isnt really important here but events prior absolutely do

so far i was able to guess aka establish to myself that the excursion to Feldcroft occurs on oct 25th, 1890. it's saturday and it was this day's evening.

after mc and sebastian were teleported back to undercoft, it would be around dinner of the oct 25th, and at the same night they had astronomy class (so the High Keep quest takes place on the oct 26th).

for whatever reason, sebastian doesn't attend the class, and so doesn't natty.

i suspect sebastian got his arse kicked given he's absolutely useless during the loyalist fight at the ruins of isidora's home. so he decided to skip the class (to then have ominis an earful about ancient magic thus pestering him about the scriptorium i suppose; remember: sebastian thinks of ancient magic —of an innate ability— as of an archaic form of wielding magic, not as of its own thing like being a seer or talking to snakes or being able to naturally morph like tonks).

but natty also doesnt attend the class. natty was sneaking away from hogwarts to get to the falbarton castle in time.

suffice it to say, by entering the class, mc was up since the morning (and on their way to feldcroft, raced imelda! if to add to this day's events another one), perhaps had lunch on the way to feldcroft, but then was out and about until midnight and likely skipped dinner.

then, professor shah urged everyone to go stargazing outside the class, in the surrounding wilderness.

which means outings aren't prohibited at night but may be limited.*

the student's right can be revoked by the headmistress, matilda weasley, if she suspects they'd get themselves in danger. it nearly happened —or happened, i forgot ;-; — to adelaide oaks when she expressed the concern about her uncle who's gone missing lately and wanted to search for him, alone. perhaps this is why both natty and fig advise mc not to tell a soul about what they're up to. or matilda will be like, uh huh huh

after the brief and permitted and absolutely encouraged stroll with amit ends, mc hurries to the falbarton castle hungry, tired and perhaps, very sleepy.

mc doesnt get to sleep the rest of the night though, as they and natty escaped harlow and returned to hogwarts by morn. crucial thing to note here: end of october means longer nights. when mc and natty are back, it wouldn't be around 4 or 5am. it will be around 7. hence natty noted people could see them through the windows; hogwarts would have had first breakfast goers by that time i think?

then, mc has fig to visit and sebastian's beef with ominis to sort out. sleep-deprived and unhinged, mc goes into scriptorium and gets arse roasted by crucio as if they weren't hit and tired enough the previous day lmao poor mc learns magic the most agonising of ways (and gets called Learning-The-Bare-Minimum by sharp anyway LMAO but honestly that man was able to swing the troll with an one hit too so He Has The Authority in this and his sharp criticism is rather warranted and im not sorry for that pun)

Freyja’s fingertips had barely brushed Talbott’s shoulder when she froze at the sudden sound of his voice. An answer to this question didn’t come straight away, instead an awkward silence began to weave its way around the two. The only sounds now were the night breeze through the tower, along with the hesitant shuffling of feet on the floor.

“Just …”

Just doing what people are supposed to do in this situation, right? Hug?

Talbott shook his head, eyes trained on the floor in front of his feet. “You don’t need to do that.”

Freyja hesitated, then withdrew her arm back to her side. It was a bit of a relief, if she was being honest. She wasn’t one for hugs, really. Even with her family she was always on the receiving end of hugs, reciprocating with far less intensity. And Talbott wasn’t one to play games using reverse psychology, so if he said she didn’t need to hug him, she really didn’t.

Distant laughter rang out from one of the Ravenclaw dormitories, helping to break the silence that permeated the atmosphere.

“I don’t know what to do then.” Freyja said quietly, almost to herself.

At this, Talbott huffed out a breath of air. It could almost have passed for laughter. “You don’t have to do anything, not if you don’t want to.”

A comfort, to be sure. Yet Freyja still felt like she’d missed an opportunity to show a little emotion in the face of what was evidently a vulnerable moment for her new friend.. “Sort of feels like I should do something though.”

Only a little over year ago, you couldn’t have paid the majority of her peers enough to sit next to her in class. Now she was a curse-breaker and a member of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, both of which completely overhauled her social life. Navigating all these new friendships had certainly required a lot of effort. She thought she was catching on to all the nuances of friendship pretty quickly, but apparently she’d misstepped in this particular interaction.

Talbott shuffled aside a little to put a bit of distance between the two of them, then turned to face her straight on. “I get that you’re probably trying to be nice by offering a hug, and if you were someone like Penny then I wouldn’t have said anything.”

Freyja frowned. Like Penny? Blonde? A Hufflepuff?

“Penny’s a hugger by nature.” Talbot explained. “Do I enjoy it? Not particularly, but I appreciate it. Because that’s honestly how she expresses herself. How she shows a friend she’s there for them. But you know, she never expects me to hug her.”

“Aye well, she’d be better off waiting for hell to freeze over if that wasn’t the case…”

Talbot snorted. “Well maybe not that unlikely, but it would be a pretty rare occasion.”

Freyja began to relax a little, the conversation seemingly moving away from her misguided attempt to hug him. She adjusted her sitting position to better appreciate the expanse of the night sky, dotted with countless stars, stretching out over the highlands.

“The thing is that she doesn’t want or expect me to act out a friendship that isn’t true to my own personality. Not wanting to hug my friend all the time doesn’t make me a bad friend, or a cold person. It’s just who I am.” Talbott continued. “And I don’t want or expect that of you either. If you genuinely want to offer a consolation hug, then go ahead. I won’t mind. But I’d be just as happy sitting and talking.”

Well this was embarrassing. Here Freyja was trying to comfort Talbott after sharing the story of how he lost his parents, and yet now he was reassuring her that not being physically affectionate was not a character defect. The corners of her mouth pulled up a little at this.

“I like the sitting and talking option.”

Talbott grinned. “me too.”

and regarding my thoughts on Alonzo as of now, i have a feeling that they may play a much larger role in the future than we think, by looking at our circumstances i have a vague theory that they too are walking towards a similar goal to that of MC, maybe not saving the city but perhaps cleaning it of its pests? or maybe they're aiming for something much higher than we can even think of as of right now, BUTTTTT WHATEVER it dosnet matter because they do seem like someone we can trust even though they're so cold with us 😅 but this shall not deter me from romancing them because who dosen't want the perfect enemies to lovers trope plus they give me the vibes of an unwilling mother of the group who just happened to be at the wrong and at the wrong time and now have to deal with an asshole (or two) who have the energy of a handful of nasty goblins, in a nutshell they give me big mommy of the two vibes and it's just my gut tell me that but whatever 😃

as for the theory thing, it's just a casual theory but i believe that MC was somehow involved in either possibly running their normal life (maybe they got tangled with one of their family members who was into some shady business) or indirectly caused them great pain which our little MC isnt aware of (or has forgotten) and maybe that's why both Alex and Vincent are so concerned about them. maybe the event was too traumatic in itself even though they no (or a little) hand in it which drove them down the alley of self loathing , OR JUST MAYBEEEE it wasn't MC's fault at all and they were just at the wrong place at the wrong time and spotting them Alzono just automatically had a misunderstanding and blamed them for the whole shit, whatever the reason is Alonzo hates our guts but i shall not be deterred! come at me you ice cold bastard!!

Ah, man :'))) Their favorite flower would probably the Sampaguita. Mostly because it reminds them of their early childhood. The flower also symbolizes hope and humility, concepts that Alonzo treasures a lot.

They like bird-watching, if that counts? Alonzo doesn't have a pet, but they used to take care of stray cats when they were a kid. Sometimes they still do.

Alonzo loves spicy foods!!! (some of their faves are laing, sinantolan, and shrimp bicol express)

I've mentioned it here, but especially in Alonzo's case, I honestly think the MC's the one that should be considered a red flag if we're labeling people lmao. Alonzo also has a very caring side to them, so I'd never classify them as one tbh. But idk. It's very subjective, and I feel like it's your prerogative whether to view them as such or not.

You deserve so much more recognition for your writing! Off the deep end is such a masterpiece, it’s so new and refreshing to read in the fanfic community. The plot building is insane and the way you’re so descriptive with words makes it easy to imagine the settings. I literally get so immersed into the story whenever I’m reading it, my obsession is eating me alive lol.

Each of the characters are so unique and interesting, I love being able to learn more about them in every chapter, especially with Minho and Jisung! Hyunjin is still a hard one to crack and more closed off compared to the others so it would be really interesting to see how his attitude towards mc will turn out in future chapters, will he remain hostile or be more accepting. The almost relationship between Hyunjin and Felix has me crying because it’s so heartbreaking to read. Sometimes I wonder what goes through Hyunjin’s mind when he sees the evolving relationship between Felix and mc :’(

However, Felix finding that comfort with mc that he never found within Hyunjin has me screaming and him confessing that he’s in love with mc... like FINALLY?! The last few paragraphs of chapter 7 literally gave me goosebumps, I had to put my phone down and take a deep breath before I started tearing up 😭

LOVE the angst so much and how troubled felix is with his own past and emotions because it makes it feel so much more real.  Thank you for continuing to update each chapter despite how busy you are with life. As a reader, I appreciate that a lot!

You waited for your lover in your shared home, Deciding to wait till nighttime to give him with your gifts.

The gifts you prepared weren't much.

A homemade snezhnayan dinner (you spent time learning the recipes!)

a cake (you're still unsure if he's picky about cake flavors..)

matching bracelets (while buying it, you thought of out childish the idea was. hmph, blaming the harbinger and his love for this!)

your love(??? blaming him again for that.)

and something to remind him about the things he loves. You made sure to pick that item carefully, it was quite small because you wanted your lover to take it with him wherever he goes.

Not too long after, you hear the front door open as you lay down on your bed. "That must be him" You thought. Putting on your footwear, You welcome your lover home.

"Happy birthday, ajax!"

"Y/n! Thank you, i thought you forgot about it." He admitted, hugging you close

You wonder what she wrote this time. Another invitation to their home? No, you've already visited a few months ago. Something about your ajax? Could be a possibility. "A letter? Lemme see! While i read it, go freshen up. We're having dinner."

"No. I wanna see your reaction on spot." He pouts as he hands you the letter

You simply smile and take the envelope, Excited to see what she your future mother in law wrote.

Skimming through the writings, It initially seemed normal. Until a certain sentence caught your eye..

Reading it, you could feel your heart racing and your body heating up. That alone made childe laugh at you

the ableism in Last Legacy

so, i wasnt gonna make a post for the main tags but after seeing some folks agree ive decided to speak up Once Again.

in Last Legacy, there is a lot of casual ableism that is written off as a joke--usually directed at Felix. Before going into the ableism itself, we need to acknowledge how Felix is heavily coded as neurodivergent. (i have adhd, so most of my analysis is from the pov of a adhd player)

Felix is characterized by other characters as a ‘talented but lazy mage’, and is often critisized for said laziness--despite the fact that he’s not lazy at all. He spent years studying a spell, willingly studied necromancy--which is illegal. if he were lazy, he wouldve given up on both long ago.  he has shown to be hard working in his relentless research towards finding the spirit thief in his route, as well as being very fixated on his hobbies (taxidermy, necromancy, novels); all of this is something i, a person with adhd, can heavily relate to.

Additionally, Felix is passionate, emotional & impulsive--all traits associated with adhd. Adhd is a lack of regulation with focus, emotions & reactions, all traits Felix exhibits, as he spends hours upon hours studying areas of interest--sometimes even to the point of neglecting to take care of himself. Also, many people with adhd (and other neurodivergences) experience being a gifted child, only to burn out later in life. (in felix’s case this is shown in the expectations Escell thrust upon him, then Felix being expelled. even it being on purpose by felix is something people who have gifted kid burnout can relate to)

as a person with adhd, im very used to criticism; “youre so lazy” “thats stupid” “i thought you were better than this”. Felix receives similar criticism, from both characters we are supoosed to dislike, AND ones we are supposed to like. Anisa calls him lazy, and is incredibly harsh on him upon learning he fucked up the spell. Escell calls him stupid (although with more elegant wording) and even Sage and MC make fun of Felix’s interests (mainly his books).

Felix is shown to be embarrassed by his hobbies (both his books & taxidermy are sore spots) and the fact that these hobbies are also ridiculed is rude in it’s own right, but when you realize those hobbies may be one of his only sources of genuine joy (outside of mc, maybe) it becomes a little more hurtful.

focusing on ableism though, many characters refer to Felix as stupid, lazy or childish. His inability to cook is never mentioned outright in game, but the devs often make fun of Felix’s preference for olives, as well as generally using Felix’s inability to cook as a joke--as well as his ““laziness”“. We all remember the meme about what the characters do when the dishes are dirty, right?

(if you missed it, it was making fun of felix being too ‘lazy’ to do dishes and eat out of shoes instead. it felt very gross and ableist.)

Felix’s story is also about him proving he isnt in need of protection, as many characters seem to believe he isnt capable of taking care of himself--this infantilization is something many disabled folk face, though admittedly it seems to be a plot point in his route, but fans and devs are also guilty of perpetuating the idea that he is inexperienced, naive, childish.

All in all, most of the ableism comes from jokes made by fans and devs outside of the game, but the fact that Felix is perceived as lazy by the entire cast is something to consider. Many jokes are made about his laziness, despite the fact that he proves with his actions that he is far from lazy.

TL;DR, Felix is coded as neurodivergent (leaning towards ADHD or ASD) and the traits that imply this are often made fun of and ridiculed, in some cases used as a joke by fans and the developers, and its upsetting to neurodivergent players.

"You seem to think I cant tell a lie when I see one. I happen to be well acquainted with them," They fix a smile as they turn an ace over in their hand. "You're already at a disadvantage. Are you sure you want to make your hand worse?"

E's brows furrow tenaciously, "But I've known them for forever! We've always been on good terms!"

"Some friends dont make the best lovers," R chirps, continuing past the growing doubt on E's face, "It makes me wonder why you haven't taken the initiative before. I think you're afraid to push their boundaries. You thought you had all the time in the world to step in slowly, didn't you? In reality, you have to make waves to leave an impression in this game."

"I-I'm not afraid! And I dont need to do things your way, either!" They shake their head, growing morose, "Is everything a score to you? Just another game to win? You dont even care about making them happy..."

R's smile fades into a somber line, their fingers tightening against the deck of cards enough to bend them slightly, "Some words arent worth the breath they take. Happiness isnt something you decide for others. It's not something given willingly. It's just a byproduct you hope you're lucky enough to create."

"...I'm sorry, I didnt mean to say something like that..."

R releases a lengthy sigh, "If only you used that passion for something other than chewing me out at every turn. Maybe then youd raise your odds."

E begins marching towards the door, "I'll show you! I'll go tell them right now?"

"Oh, good idea! If you make a fool of yourself, itll make things that much easier for me."

"Y-Youre just trying to get to me..." E hesitates at the door, beginning to mutter, "Theres some things I have to do first though..."

"Of course," R watches the normally enthused student walk off with a shadow of doubt lingering over their head before leaning back to enjoy the ambient silence they're left with.

"Guess I'll have to play a little more carefully," they muse to themselves

This is going to be a post about Cinderpelt. 

I feel a lot for her. She is like, the most endearing background character in the series and I honestly don’t think the Erins even intended that. Even despite her hardships, she’s never as mentioned in Thunderclan/the clans in general after she dies. Sure, Leafpool is sad and thinks about her constantly, but that was mostly written as foreshadowing for Cinderheart. Of course, when she dies, Littlecloud is described as becoming sad. But after that, we get nothing. So let’s talk about her for a while, yeah? Cinderpelt, alongside her brother, gets kidnapped by a shadowclan cat. She is saved by the former MC of said clan, and her future mentor. She is a happy little thing, always willing to help and eager to prove herself. This eagerness and willingness prove to almost be her doom. She becomes depressed, finds happiness when she is once again saved (in a metaphorical and literal sense) by the grumpy Medicine cat that had once been Shadowclan. 

She is happy. Then her former mentor (and currently a good friend) runs to her asking for help. A queen is having trouble during birth, she is Riverclan please dont freak out, so she goes and helps. Its her duty. Then the queen dies, under Cinderpaw’s watch, and she’s so heartbroken about it and so apologetic. But you saved the kits, her friend insists, but thats not enough, is it. Her brother’s mentor is now heartbroken, devastated, and because she couldn’t save a cat her friend, her former mentor, will lose his best friend. Because she couldn’t save her, and he chooses his kits over his clan, and Cinderpaw understands. He will be a great father you can tell, and she is so, so sorry.  Then a fire happens. Cinderpaw evacuates with the clan, saves as any herbs as she can, and when she sees orange pelt among orange flames with a kitten in his jaws, and she cannot see her mentor, she understands, too. She understands when Fireheart catches Yellowfang’s last breath, and she understands when she hears what Yellowfang tells him. It doesn’t hurt, but Cinderpelt is jealous that she wasn’t the one who spoke to her last, and shes disappointed in herself because maybe if she had been faster she could’ve saved her mentor just as she had saved her twice before. Cinderpaw finishes her training on her own, and when she becomes Cinderpelt, her heart aches with the knowledge that her leader does not trust her despite the fact they both had been wronged and hurt by the same horrible cat. She never lets the image of the clans be tainted in her mind, and she hides and helps two cats from Shadowclan who anyone else would have left for dead. She saves them, finds the cure to their sickness- isnt that just wonderful? Making up for the fact she let her mentor and a queen die by saving a whole clan? In the end, Cinderpelt doesn’t ask for a payment, she lets those apprentices be as they are. She never even asks for credit, but Shadowclan knows who their savior is and cherish her like their own, though their pride would never allow it. Her act inspired Littlepaw, and he becomes a MC apprentice. He looks up to her. 

When the forest is crumbling all around her and she knows they must go when the travellers return, its her who has to convince Firestar to leave the territory behind. She knows, no- she understands- that he is waiting for his best friend, his companion to everything, to return. Though in her heart she knows Graystripe to be well, it is hard to convince others otherwise. But its for the good of the clans, this isnt just about Firestar. This is about survival of their ways, survival of the young. Shrewpaw had already died before his time, please dont let that happen to any other cat. The journey is long but she bonds with the other medicine cats and warriors like she never had before, and she finds to be in peace. It’s a relief when Leafpaw finds the Moonpool and everyone can finally settle, but it is sad that they will have to part. 

It takes a few moons, but she receives it- not a prophecy, but a promise. She will die, Starclan has told her she will. They refuse to say when, or how, but they know she will and they want her to know it. For what? Because they were the ones who set her path so she would be a medicine cat? Why did they have to cause her suffering? Why do they have to mingle with those who still live? Cinderpelt has never felt so angry and so alone, and yet all she finds within herself is to lower her head and accept it. Yellowfang is among those who tell her, and she sees no sorrow in her eyes or even a hint of sympathy.

Cinderpelt wants to hate her, but she understands. She understands this is beyond her mentor, that this is something Yellowfang had to endure. 

She tries to make it count, she really does. But then she breaks at Leafpool and hate Spottedleaf more than she ever had before when her apprentice is gone, gone and she can’t even begin to look or ask for guidance because as far as she knows Starclan is just waiting for her inevitable death. If they warned her- maybe it was because they knew Leafpool would not come back. So Cinderpelt spends time with good Firestar, her mentor once upon a time, her rescuer in her dreams, the flame which saved the forest, her best friend. But even good old Firestar has his moments, and his worry for his daughter leaves her with no time to tell him how much he means to her, and how much he helped her. She spends time with her brother, with her sister- and Brackenfur is excited enough for his kits that he talks to her endlessly for hours, and the only thing Cinderpelt thinks is how she will miss his laughter, and will he miss her too? The medicine cat doesnt eat unless forced, her worry for her apprentice and the possible future lack of a medicine cat for thunderclan sickens her by the day. 

She starts to think this is how shes supposed to go until- well, until badgers storm into their camp and try to claim everyone as their victim, until theres too many badgers for so few cats, until there’s a badger with so much hate in its eyes she could suffocate. She believes her fate is to die from sickness until a badger stands by her and desperately tries to claim the queen and her kits. When the blow to the neck finally comes and she can’t carry her weight anymore, she thinks about how much it hurts. When she hears and scents and feels Leafpool, her whole body hurts so much. Cinderpelt says words she is not sure she still believes in, and she is so so happy that she can see Leafpool one last time. 

When she goes, and is offered a body, she feels guilty. She feels this is wrong. She watches her brother mourn, she watches leafpool mourn, and she watches Firestar as he carries on. Did he mourn her? Did Sandstorm mourn, too? Cinderpelt is not sure she knows the answer anymore. All she knows is to control a life that is not her own, until she feels so guilty about it that she lets go. Then its like she was never relevant before.

so. Baxter was always sick as a child. they had some genetic autoimmune disease that made it so every time they got sick, their body would sort of. shut down and attack itself? bc it couldnt tell The Sick apart from Their Body. so they were constantly in and out of hospitals because of it. unfortunatley though, bc of how immunocompromised they were it meant that while they were in the hospital they couldn't really leave their hospital room

also worth mentioning that their parents were The Original CEO Of Panacea Before Charlotte + His Administrative Assistant & they were kind of a little bit used as a guinea pig to find a cure for their autoimmune disease (good intentions only on their part, but they really fucking dropped the ball so hard there. didnt even come close to catching it. and by good intentions i mean they were doing this for their kid and their kid only- any cure to come out of it would cost millions)

Ethan, after blowing up his neighbor's garden shed in retaliation for them smashing his cello, ended up having to do community service hours to make up for it. he chose to volunteer time in the children's ward of a hospital. i'd say he's about 16, Baxter is 9 or 10

after a few weeks of spending time in the children's ward, he realizes that there's this one room that's always got a patient in it but he's never actually seen said patient. out of curiosity, he sneaks in when no one is paying attention & meets the kid. they're sweet, and very obviously haven't had any human contact outside of doctors and nurses and their own parents. they tell him that they've been in that room for some time, & they just want to go outside, just once

so. yknow. naturally.

Ethan breaks them out of the hospital.

Baxter does get sick from it, but them getting to be outside, even for just half an hour, meant everything to them. their world went from their tiny hospital room and what they could see of the hallway from their door + what was out the window to something so much bigger. and it kind of gave them hope? it gave them the energy to actually want to overcome their sickness, bc it might mean that they could go to that park again

they do, however, eventually end up assuming that it was a fever dream that they had due to being super sick & watching Peter Pan too much (guy w red hair + green shirt whisks them away on an adventure-- they did always want to be wendy darling) and they kind of forget the details (it doesn't help that their mom insists that they had a guardian angel who helped them recover)

Ethan just kind of assumes that they died-- they transferred hospitals shortly after & no one would tell him anything when he tried to visit

they almost meet again when Ethan punches Declan Nash- Baxter was there and they did see the punch happen, but they didn't get to interact with Ethan at all

neither of them realize this until Baxter is stuck in quarantine after the biological attack (Baxter didn't name themself Baxter until they were in college, their deadname was some normal boring biblical name so Ethan wouldn't recognize them from that). they're sick as hell and should be resting, but they refuse to lie down and get rest. they insist they made a promise to someone that if they ever ended up hospitalized again, they would never get so weak that they couldn't walk, but that they can't remember who it was, just that it was their "fever dream guardian angel"

when Ethan finally gets them to lie back down, they tell him about what happened when they were a kid, that they weren't sure if it actually happened or not, but that they had thought about it so often that they had eventually decided that if they ever met him again and he was a real person, they would kiss him about it as thanks for helping them

and then they both Realize.

MC had made aquaintance with some of the ladies in town. They invited her to have a couple of drinks at the local bar this evening, the same bar where arthur would usually go.

She forgot to tell Mozart thd day before, so she figured she would go tell him now, even though it was rather.. last minute.

"*knock* mozart...?" MC said softly as she knocked on his bedroom door, only to not to get a response.

She invited herself in and mozart was no where be seen, when sebastian happen to walk towards MC's direction

"Herr mozart is having a meeting out in town. do you perhaps need any assistance with something, MC?" Sebastian said as he spotted her looking for mozart

"Ah sebastian! I was just going to tell him that i am going to the pub this evening with some ladies.. could you perhaps pass on this message to him when he comes back? I have to leave very soon." MC explained to sebastian

"Are you sure thats a good idea, its quite late isnt it?" Sebastian said, worried about MC's decision

"Dont worry! Its near the mansion and i wont be home that late" MC said with a reassuring smile

Mc was cut off as the door to the pub had been slammed open, revealing a furious mozart.

"Seems like the musician came to pick his lady up~" the other lady said giggling

"MC! We are going home, now." Mozart said as he marched towards MC

MC failed to recognize the man that had demanded her to go home. She stood up, almost losing her balance and started yelling at mozart furiously.

"And who do you think you are?! Telling me to- mph!" MC stopped mid sentence as she felt the contents of of her stomach rising up her throat abruptly. One of the ladies who happened to be sitting next to an empty bucket instinctively shoved a bucket towards MC and mozart's direction. Mozart immideately held the bucket, forcing her to sit back down as MC began puking r a i n b o w s. Mozart's expression twisted into disgust. As disgusting as witnessing someone puke is, it was his dearest MC. He rubbed circles onto her back as one of her lady friends handed her a clean piece of cloth.

Mozart was walking down the dark street, carrying MC who had a bucket hanging over her face. Mozart didnt want people to stare at her lover in such state any longer, which is why he excused MC and himself out of the pub as soon as they could.

"Oh schatzi.. what am i going to do with you..?" Mozart said as he sighed to himself

MC wasnt well enough to respond.

They both arrived into the mansion, MC had stop puking but she still wasnt well enough

some residents in the dining room wondering what on earth was this sight in front of them. Before anyone could open their mouths, mozart spoke up

"No one question anything." He said as he casually walked past everyone, MC in his arms, heading towards MC's room.

As they reached the front of MC's room, mozart gently place her on her feet and took off the ungodly bucket off her head. He put the bucket to the side and slowly guided MC in.

"W-wait *hic* why are you taking me to bed?!" Mc panicked, resisting him but failing.

"Shush liebling, take a seat on the bed.. i need to change your soiled shirt" Mozart said, but MC pulled away harder

"No!! You can't do that, i *hic* have a boyfriend!" She yelled out as she ran over to the corner of the room

MC was so drunk that she failed to recognize who mozart is. Mozart found this incredibly funny and adorable. He decided to play along with it.

"Oh? Really? What is your boyfriend like?" He said with an amused chuckle, folding his arms.

"He *hic* he comes of as mean..b-but he has the biggest heart in the *hic* world" MC said as she leaned on to the wall for support

"He.. is very good *hic* with the piano and.. he knows how to make my heart flutter.." MC continued

"I.. love him... very.. much" mc said as she begun to lose her conciousness, which mozart quickly rushed towards her side, cathing her on time.

Carrying MC in his arm, he slowly carried her over to her bed, softlt putting her down.

He laid down next to her admiring her sleeping form, carresing her face. He couldnt stop thinking of what MC said about him.

"It may not seem like it.. but you really make my heart go crazy, schatzi" mozart spoke to the unconcious MC as he gave her cheek a kiss.

"Mm.." MC groaned as she could feel the sun blazing on her face. She noticed that she was in her night gown.

"What on..." MC said as she tried to recall what happened last night, thats when Mozart opened her bedroom door with a cup of warm tea in his hand

"Ah, you woke up." He said as he sat over next to her, handing the cup to her.

For some reason Mozart had this angelic aura around him which made MC question the situation more

"What happened last night..?" MC asked cautiously

"Lets say.. you drank irresponsibly and i had to take you home with a bucket over your face" mozart said with a playfull chuckle

All the memories from the previous day begun flooding back into her head, causing her to freeze. Mozart patted her head softly.

"You should really stop doing the most thoughtless things, liebling.. you were lucky that nothing serious happened last night" he said, still patting his lover

"Im sorry.. i was going to tell you about my plan but i forgot.." MC pouted as she took a sip of her tea

"Its fine. But i suppose i have to glue myself to you so you dont get into trouble." Mozart joked as he gave her a quick peck, making her lips curve into a smile
