• she likes when you play with her hair. Fight. Me. When she’s had a particularly bad day she loves nothing more than coming home to you, cuddling and having you run your fingers through her hair.

Bonus Jackson tess Hcs cause I absolutely adore Jackson Tess:

• she becomes much more laid back in Jackson, much more at ease with showing you off and not hiding away. Because she doesn’t have to be afraid anymore that someone’s going to try and get to her by hurting you.

• she always makes sure you get paired together on patrols. Mostly because she likes to make sure you’re safe but also because you joked one time it felt like a date. And she’ll take any chance she can get to take you on a date.

• dancing in the kitchen together to old cds and records

• she used to sleep with a knife under her pillow in case she needed ti attack at a moments notice. But in Jackson she’s not scared anymore.

• late nights sitting on the porch and looking at the stars. But she’s mostly watching you.

Okay, it's getting colder here and I need warm thoughts. I demand you share with me three Tommy/Maria autumnal headcanons.

Oh this is a lovely one and strangely enough one I've thought about. I'm actually going to give you six as a bonus. Three Canon verse HC and Three no apocalypse verse HC.

No Apocalypse Verse

1. Tommy is a huge apple cider fan—all things apple cider, the drink, the donuts, the scent. If it's fall, it's apple cider. Maria is a Pumpkin Spice girl. Fall is all things PS all the time. There are wars in the T/M household on what is better. Tommy once spent a week on the couch when he changed out all the candles in the house to apple-scented candles when Maria wasn't looking. Maria once had to buy Tommy two jugs of apple cider when she changed his Starbucks order to a PSL on the app instead of an apple cider macchiato as a joke.

2. They love fall foliage tours. They've been up to the Adirondack every year to take the train ride that goes through the mountains. They are major leaf peepers, and it drives Joel crazy because every year, they try to get him and Tess to go. Joel could care less about the turning of the leaves, and Tess could care less too, honestly, but she loves to fuck with Joel, so she'll set them up to go just to drive him crazy.

3. Once they have their first son Mateo, who just so happens to have been born in the fall, (which was not in any way orchestrated by Maria keeping meticulous track of her cycles so she could make sure when the best moment for conception would be) they do a photoshoot of him in a pumpkin each year. Then, when they have their daughter Tilly (also born in the fall, hmmm, Tommy's starting to ask questions), the tradition continues. By the time little Solana is born also in the fall (okay Maria this is gettin' ridiculous darlin' how did I not notice you were doin' this.) It's a whole thing: baby, toddler, and kid in a pumpkin. It's getting harder and harder to find big enough pumpkins. When the kids are all grown up, they get together to do a joke photoshoot of a reenactment of their first group photo as kids for Tommy and Maria's anniversary gift. Tommy laughs so hard he snots whiskey out of his nose. Maria laughs too but she also gets Teary-Eyed at seeing all her babies so grown up. It goes on the living room wall in a place of honor and never comes down.

Canon Verse

1. Maria is the one doing all the fall activities in Jackson, she loves it, it's one of her favorite times of year. When Tommy comes along he wholeheartedly throws himself in as well. It's actually how they end up falling in love. One late night while Tommy is helping her get the sting lights up for the fall dance, he turns them on and she looks so beautiful in the glowing bulbs that he can't help but tell her and then fate is set.

2. Tommy hates Halloween, always has. Part of it could be the time he snuck down to watch the Halloween movie from the stairs when he was 8 years old, and his big brother, at 13, was watching the movie with his then-friend Shawna, who he very much wanted to be his girlfriend in hopes that she would cuddle close to him during the jump scares. She did, and they were blissfully together for a whole week; Joel even got his first French kiss from it. But all Tommy got was nightmares about Micheal Meyers trying to break into his house on Halloween to kill him and his family. So yeah, Tommy doesn't like Halloween. But every year, he sucks it up and puts on the brave Uncle Tommy face and the goofiest of costumes to make first Sarah happy and then Ellie 20 years later. Because that's what good uncles do. Maria knows, though, and she does everything she can to try and make the holiday as stress-free as she can for him. They have no decorations inside the house, and what they do have outside is the bare minimum, and it's all silly, not scary.

3. Tommy and Maria still love the fall foliage. Their favorite thing to do is to sit outside on their porch in Jackson, Tommy siping his hot apple cider and Maria siping her PS coffee that she makes herself, and they watch the seasons change. Both of them are secretly happy that their little community ended up in a part of the US that has the change of the seasons. On beautiful fall days, Tommy likes to take Maria outside of Jackson into the woods with all the leaves, and they pile them up and dance in them. Ellie lets them borrow her walkmen so they can each put one headphone in one ear each and listen to the music as they sway together.

And if he somehow lost you when the apocalypse began he would sometimes pull the picture out of his wallet and just stare at you for long times, missing everything about you. But if he didn’t lose you and you are right there, at home, then he would just stare at it at times when he can’t hug and hold you

Iris you came here to make me cry again over this man didn't you? I absolutely agree that he'd keep a picture either in his pocket or a wallet he would never need again, but carrying to around makes him feel a bit more human. A bit more alive than before.

It's probably a blurry polaroid. One he took when he thought the world wouldn't end and things were steady and he'd get a life with you. It's his most precious item. A keepsake from a time that would never return.

Pre-outbreak!Tommy Miller x Fem!ballerina reader headcannons.

Reader also has a baking obsession.

•You meet through Sarah, you had just begun to babysit her.

•One weekend Joel has to go out of town for work so he asks Tommy to spend the night at his place to watch Sarah.

•Tommy didn’t anticipate Sarahs babysitter to be SO attractive, his brain short circuts and he gets a little stuttery which leds Sarah to giggle and make fun.

•She then begs you to spend the night along with Tommy, joking that if you were to leave he would end up killing her.

•You agree, secretly excited to get to know the younger miller brother

•The three of you decide to make a strawberry cake, well you and Sarah bake, Tommy just watches and licks the spoon.

•You end up decorating the cake at Sarah's request, Tommy watches in awe as you paint the cake with gorgeous pink frosting flowers.

•After a few slices of cake you coax Sarah into bed and go back downstairs to join Tommy.

•Tommy opens a bottle of wine for the two of you as you make yourself comfortable on the couch.

•You begin to talk about your love for ballet and while Tommy doesn't really understand half of the shit you’re saying, he loves the way your face lights up when you talk about it.

• As the two of you indulge in fun back and forth banter Tommy cant help but smile, both at your wine induced flushed cheeks and soft giggles.

•You both begin to grow heavy with sleep, Tommy lets you sleep in Joels bed while he settles on the couch.

• He wakes up to smell of you making crepes, leading to a lovely breakfast with lots of laughter and smiles.

•After cleaning up a bit you announce that you are going to head home, as you walk out the door Tommy mentally kicks himself for not asking for your number.

•But he finds himself bumping into you 3 days later at the grocery store. He giggles to himself as he sees an array of flours, sugars, colorful frostings and baking sheets set in your basket.

•He then blurts out a rapid “can i get your number?” terrified that he wouldn’t get another opportunity. Which you obviously agree to.

• You then slowly ease into dating, at the beginning Tommy is nervous about messing everything up with you. He's never been great at relationships and wants to desperately make things last with you.

However he finds he has nothing to worry about because the love both of you have together is special and won't be damaged easily.

After dating for a few months you decide to move in together. This is where your personalities begin to blend.

Tommy only used to listen to rock and country music around the house, and now he's waking up to classical music.

He also never used to have sweets around, but now there always seem to be a platter of cookies, cakes, pies, and brownies on his kitchen table.

•He teases you for your humongous collection of oils and lotions that you use after long rehersals or recitals.

•However he's found that he loves when you rub them into his skin when he's had a long day.

He shows up to every single one of your recitals and gets you a huge bouquet of flowers every time.

He is your biggest supporter, hyping you up before auditions, rubbing your feet when you come home sore, learning how to do a perfect ballet bun so he can perfectly do your hair when its early and you're too tired to do it yourself.

He keeps one of your bows in his truck <3

Plss, I was just spending time doing no-work and I had this little idea: Do you think people in Jackson have competitions like, who hunts the biggest deer, who dances better, who plays musical instrument better; or maybe not competitions, but just some random festivities where people can show off? Do you think Ellie would try to drag Joel into one of the dances, or Joel would be cheering Ellie after her playing the guitar like the proud dad he is?

Oh absolutely! The safety of Jackson allows people to go from surviving to living, and to me that includes reviving things like art and music and dancing. The fact that Jackson had a Christmas tree in episode 6 just proves that they're in a place where they can celebrate things in community as humans tend to do 😊

If it's a competition for something she knows she has the skill to win, like hunting or archery, you bet Ellie there to show everyone up and claim the prize.

In terms of a festival, I think Joel and Ellie are the least likely Jackson residents to show up unless they're being dragged along by Tommy. And all Tommy has to do is get Joel on board, because Joel will then do his best to get Ellie to go along for "social enrichment," lol.

For a dance, I think Ellie would get peer pressured to go by her friends and ask Tommy for dancing pointers only for Tommy to shockingly admit that he's kinda hopeless in that department and refer her to Joel (but if she needs advice on romancing a girl definitely don't ask Joel cause he's clueless). Cue Joel getting all soft because he guided Tommy and Sarah through their homecomings/school dances and now he gets to do it for Ellie.

Once they get more comfortable, I can totally see Joel and Ellie playing a guitar duet - for Tommy and Maria lol. Ellie might be motivated to display a softer talent like that to romance a girl but Joel strikes me as too private to play in front of a bigger crowd - he will definitely be cheering Ellie on though. And he's definitely putting on his best shirt and slicking back his hair like in episode 3 because he will not be looking a mess when his baby girl is performing.

On the other hand, there is something to be said for Ellie and Tommy getting Joel to be comfortable enough to show that he has talents beyond being good at hunting/killing/building. Joel's a guy that doesn't like the spotlight, doesn't think he deserves it cause he's not that special in his eyes. But Ellie and Tommy will definitely not stand for that. I could see them doing that by convincing Joel to show off his woodcarving skills before working up to playing the guitar for a small group of friends and family.

A mixture of Solange, Tyler the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, and Queen’ s discography got him through medical school. Mac Miller got him through the stressful time that was his first year at Edenbrook  

Though Sienna and Elijah are his best friends, a certain Dr. Feelgood aka Tommy Lee thinks he should be counted too (considering he knows Eddie’s secret).

He’s watched all the popular medical shows (Grey’s, House, General Hospital, etc,) but Scrubs is more his speed

Found my face claim for the Miller Brother mom Cote de Pablo she played Ziva on NCIS. She is Chilean and has a similar face structure to both Tommy and Joel. No wonder our boys are so pretty and stacked.
