i really believe in the inherent divinity of trans people. there’s a thread that winds through the entire history of the world of genderqueerness and sanctity. it’s found in so many cultures and societies. even so many of the catholic saints had diverse gender experiences and this was considered divine. something that brought them closer to the divine, because god was seen as beyond binaries. and continuing with catholicism - even the concept of eve being formed from adam’s rib means that the first woman was formed from originally male flesh. and jesus was born of a human female only so the perfect man was formed from originally female flesh. (i’m not catholic, i just think it’s fascinating that even at the heart of western culture, these ideas are inherently ingrained.)

but this means we were always here!! we are sacred!! any queer space is sacred and any sacred space is queer!! being trans gives you access to the divine, and fuck anyone who thinks they can tell you what your relationship to divinity is.
