when they said a masters thesis is more difficult than a ba thesis i didnt think they meant "nobody cares about your masters thesis"
#hakuna matata#i think im a bit more affected by my consultant not even reading it before meetups than i thought#last time my consultant was literally doing diplomacy in japan and she could read what i was sending her and give me feedback#my current consultalt not knowing about jojo isnt an excuse i had to explain trans women to this previous one and she could help#i dont want to slander this man. the rest of my class does that enough.#its just a bit frustrating putting out 10ks of characters not even knowing if what im doing is any good#not expecting my classmates to care tbh. whenever i had to discuss my topic with them it felt like it was a joke for them#its just. idk? anyone? does anyone care that im doing it and if im doing it right?#other than my beloved friends whose support i honestly appreciate <3#it just feels like im assured that pop culture analysis is worth the work in an academic environment#but nobody in the actual academic environment seems to really care what im doing#ah that and the lady that ran the thesis writing class last year giving me a 3 :))#i thought i gave a good presentation and she showed no signs that she disliked anything about it.#the paper i sent her i think i did pretty well on too. especially for a paper i sent after 3 days of being very sick#i sent it late but i told her i was going to be late because i had a terrible weekend#so she knew i was sick! and she was very 'prioritize your health' in class!#idk what happened there... so my work is praised in class but then its only worth a 3...?

Okay so I know many of us are grieving and angry right now, and for those of us who follow QSMP we're experiencing like the second instance of this in two months (three if you count Cellbit's letter), and for those of us who follow DSMP/SMPEarth we're dealing with someone who is very central to a story that is beloved to us having been revealed to be a person we don't want to spend our time on. However, I would really like to caution people against some of the rhetoric that I've seen on the dash.
Be really cautious about posting things like "all men are abusers" or "kill all men" or "no man can be trusted".
I understand emotionally being in that place, but that is rhetoric that generally we want to avoid because it is TERF shit. Like literally that is TERF rhetoric. A central facet of TERF ideology is that all men are evil oppressors and abusers who desire to do women harm and women keep safe by banding together and isolating from men.
This is bad because TERFs extend this to say that trans women can never be real women because they're inherently men (evil, oppressors) which is obviously transphobia, but it's also bad because it says that men can never be abused and women can never be oppressors because men are inherently the ones with power and women are inherently the ones acted on by that power. And it's also shitty to trans men. And it divides the world into a male/female dichotomy of power that ignores other genders and ignores power dynamics along things like race, class, nationality, disability, and language.
Posting "no men can be trusted" and "kill all men" is the sort of thing that is really uncomfortable to see on my dash, and it's really unkind to the trans men, and survivors of abuse by women and other genders, and masculine survivors of abuse that you know are on your dash.
I understand the rage and the uncertainty and the betrayal, but dividing the world into a simplistic class of people who do the abuse and people who are abused, and we can identify that by their gender identity is not helpful, and it also just stokes us into rage circles where we could be focusing on supporting victims instead.
Please. Go watch SOS SMP. Make a pot of tea. Go look at the crocuses that are blooming now. Donate money to your local domestic violence and homeless shelters. Stop putting actual TERF talking points on my dash.

I genuinely do not enjoy straight ships (all the straight ships I like I make into a lovely same gender couple) but Verosika x Blitzø is infinitely better than Stolitz to me.
In terms of chemistry they work pretty well and the dynamic is cute. Verosika would have been an awesome season one antagonist, imagine her getting in the way of IMP’s business. Instead of Queen Bee being about Vivziepop’s sparkle dog OC and the furry bait asshole who exists only to make horny merch, it could have been about Blitzø making up with Verosika and exploring his past and why he acts like he does. You can have melodrama and a dark comedy about imps killing people.
Also Verosika and Blitzø adopting Octavia and her and Loona being best friends is so cute to me, it could also give Loona and Octavia more depth as a character.
Stolitz is an abusive man child who abuses his power in order to get sex from a lower ranked member of his world (who is only one rank above people who get treated as literal pets) who needs it to run is job.
I doubt Verosika would let Stolas into her party if she knew what he did, she does not seem like the girl would like Stolas. I don’t know I think she has standards.
Anyways Blitzø is a beautiful trans woman who came to terms with his identity while learning to become a better person and to cope with her trauma (he/him trans women my beloved, I love you he/him trans women). So long and goodnight.

✧∘* ✧・゚welcome to my page!✧∘* ✧・゚
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is my current nsfw/18+ tumblr for my horny rants and rambles. enjoy your stay!
who are you?
i'm fitgirl, and i'm a 20-year-old female metalhead with a fucked-up side i share here. i've been a long-time lurker of kink content on here, and i finally decided to take the plunge and make my own page. i mainly make written works or post my abs cause apparently people like those
i consider myself to be homoromantic bisexual. i relate heavily to men and would have sex with them but i'd never marry one :P i'm attracted to men, women, enbies, trans women, trans men, and everything in between. i do not have a genital preference
Tumblr media
can i send you pics of my body / give you money / request services outside of conversation?
all degradation and fetish/feeder DMs require a one-time $10 cashapp fee to $fgffund or i won't respond
this isn't because i feel like i'm better than you or something. i literally cannot financially afford spending hours DMing people eloquent paragraphs when i could be working my 9-5. maybe you can change that?
main kinks:
-degradation / praise -bimbofication / domestication -dumbification / iq loss -slobbification / incelification (is that a thing?) -weight gain -breeding / pregnancy -cucking -humiliation (mainly public hehe) -femdom -mind break / mind control -hucows my beloved
basically anything where someone loses control or gets worse. i'm a dom and lowkey a stone butch so i like when the above is done to others, not myself
kinks i'm picky about:
-cnc (needs to be combined with something else or i find it boring) -extreme pain/guro (only specific areas of the body and this blog is not for that side of me) -crossdressing (bikinis, bras, panties are hot--anything more and i don't care for it sexually) -piss + vomit (in very specific fucked-up situations, maybe)
hard no's:
-shit, bodily functions, etc. (if it's in a fic i'll still read it, but if it's the main focus or in graphic detail it turns meoff) -inflation (does not include rapid weight gain. i mean like the fuckin balloon shit on deviantArt) -vore (okay i just don't understand this one i'm sorry) -anal (i watched 1 Man 1 Jar when i was 14 and got immediately turned off forever)
non-kink stuff / interests (if u care):
-metal (Pantera, NIN, Slipknot, Children of Bodom, Sybreed, Fear Factory, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Gojira, Tool, Opeth, Wintersun, etc.) -industrial (KMFDM, aktivehate, Overseer, the Prodigy) -berserk [manga + 1997] and other medieval fantasy (TES series, DnD, Baldur's Gate) -digital art
i hope you enjoy reading my posts, and if you don't, i hope you have a good day! <3

Thoughs on Transfem Luffy? Personally I actually love this concept, some of my main hcs are:
- She comes out after Garp leaves her with Dadan so when he first sees her bounty posters he thinks he is going crazy at first
- Design is literally the same but with pigtails and the classic op girl eyes
- She casually nentions being trans after a visit from Chopper and everybody is cool with that. (Exept sanji)
- Amazpn Lily is a nightmare at first but after explaining herself Boa makes misgendering her a crime
- Impel Down is a lot more interesting
- Akainu is the only transphobic person in op and he gets his ass beaten
- Sabo cries (of joy) at Dressrosa for her
- Wano is more interesting too
Very very positive thoughts about transfem Luffy. She's my beloved. My little ball of chaos. The same exact as our canon Luffy but with different pronouns and somehow I imagine her to be even more unhinged because you wouldn't expect a cutie pie like her to be so damn chaotic.
Honestly, the whole thing is just something so cute to me. Makino? Dadan? Ace? Sabo? Shanks? They'd all support her like crazy. Ace and Sabo would beat the shit out of anyone saying anything bad about her while Makino teaches her (and her brothers) how to do her hair so it doesn't bother her while playing/running/training. This makes even more sense now because both Shanks and Dragon give major girl dad energy, so of course they'd love her (thinking about Dragon seeing the first Wanted poster and being thrilled about it and mourning a bit not being able to see her). Uta!!! Uta would tell her to be more feminine and delicate but she'd end up being charmed by her freedom, so she'd also beat the shit out of anyone who doesn't consider her sister a girl. Luffy is very nonchalant and careless about these things but is very stubborn so she gets frustrated when someone doesn't respect her identity. She's all like "I am a girl but I still wanna do stuff boys do, y'know? It just feels right to do whatever I want but, uh, as a girl. It makes sense".
Not to mention that she'd come out in the worst moment possible, in the most sudden way, and everyone in the crew would accept her but they'd be so astonished because Luffy is just so damn stupid and blunt sometimes. Also, I think it'd be good for Sanji to learn about trans girls... It'd help Sanji... In so many ways... The closet is glass for Sanji too but this isn't about her...
Amazon Lily is even better because Boa and Luffy would've been even greater friends (even though I love the whole "Luffy being the only guy she feels safe with" I also think that Boa acknowledging trans girls in an island specifically for women would be awesome).
Akainu can go rot in hell. If someone's transphobic in this show, it is him only.
Sabo!!!!!!! Sabo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sabo would be the best brother ever to his sister. I just know that he'd be even more protective than he is now even knowing she can protect herself. Like that's his baby sister!!! And he'd be so happy to see her again and realizing she has the family and support she has always wanted!! The fact that she lives free and by her own ideals is enough for Sabo to be the happiest.
Wano is more interesting because she'd actually relate to Yamato's experience!!!!!!!! Trans besties!!!!!!!!! And Kiku!!!!!! Wano truly is the trans arc...
Overall, I believe she'd be the exact same as she is now but would easily get bothered by people telling her she's not a girl or saying that she isn't girly enough. She'd be ruthless and yet the cutest thing ever. Btw, she'd still go shirtless/topless even if she gets boobs because she does not care about it lmao--
I've been saying we need more Luffy female protagonists, tbh. It'd be soooo good for the story and would add more to the topics of freedom and liberation.

It bothers me so much that the only transfem rep in mtg cards is this like. Soldier military woman, like 'ooh look at this guy's we made a trans woman who's a part of a war machine' fantastic thank you magic very original
Tumblr media
=========
Okay.
First of all, there is no "our" interpretation of the text. My thoughts are my own, and your thoughts are your own. Some of our thoughts might align, but I will not allow you to speak for me.
Second, I am sorry you feel so disappointed in the current state of transgender representation in Magic. I understand your concerns and I think they're valid concerns.
Third, your concerns being valid does not mean I agree with what you have to say, though. Don't come into my inbox complaining unless you're ready for me to honestly respond. Respectfully, your approach to these concerns makes it clear to me that you don't actually understand what you're talking about.
It's apparent that you follow me or have at least seen many of my posts. You appear to respect my opinions / analysis (at least regarding Jace and Tezzeret). So listen to me when I say this:
What constitutes 'good' representation is context-dependent, and it's not something you alone get to decide.
Yes, Alesha is a "soldier military woman", as you said. I understand that you have this complaint because you believe this makes Alesha an example of the stereotype that trans women are violent. But context matters. What you're failing to consider is the fact that she comes from the Mardu Horde, a faction on Tarkir inspired by the Mongol hordes of real-world history. In this context, Alesha isn't presented as violent because she's a trans woman. She's violent because she literally comes from a warrior clan based on one of the greatest military forces in human history. And honestly, with Magic being a combat-centric game, she's not any more violent than any non-Mardu Legends, either.
Do you seriously think a story about a trans woman fighting to proudly declare her trans identity in her culture and later becoming the accomplished and well-respected leader of her clan is bad representation? Does the fact that she's a warrior really outweigh the rest of the lovingly crafted trans narrative they created for her, to you?
It's fine if you feel that way. You don't have to like Alesha or her story. But just because something wasn't made for your taste doesn't mean it's bad writing / bad representation.
Anyway, I highly recommend you read Alesha's story, "The Truth of Names", since it seems like you haven't read it yet. It's a fantastic story-- the most beloved short story in all of Magic, actually. It was the most-read article on the entire Magic website for like 5 years, according to WOTC.
And if you're interested in learning more about transfem characters in Magic who aren't Alesha, I recommend you read about Xantcha, who first appears in the novel "Planeswalker".
Next, I need to make things clear about Ashiok.
Ashiok was never intended to be nonbinary representation. Ashiok was created to be a mysterious, unknowable villain. What makes Ashiok special is that we are not mean to know anything about Ashiok. We do not know Ashiok's species or plane of origin, for example. Another part of that element of mystery is not knowing Ashiok's gender, or how Ashiok identifies. Ashiok's original style guide from Theros explicitly instructs people to not use any pronouns for Ashiok at all (which I still follow because old habits are hard to break.) Official Magic sources did not begin to use they/them pronouns for Ashiok until 2022, in the story "A Garden of Flesh" (another excellent story, BTW.) And they only started using they/them for Ashiok because it is really hard to write a story where the character is mentioned that many times without pronouns.
All this to say: Ashiok as intentional nonbinary representation is certainly not the narrative WOTC is pushing.
Yes, there are many fans of Ashiok who interpret Ashiok as nonbinary, but those are their thoughts and you need not concern yourself with that, if it bothers you so.
As for Niko, it's weird that you say they're "non-existent" in Magic story when 2 of the 5 side stories ("Know Which Way the Wind is Blowing" and "Aim Through the Target") in their debut set Kaldheim were entirely focused on Niko. They're also a starring main character in 15 of the 25 issues of the BOOM! Studios Magic comics.
I'm glad you like my analysis of Jace and Tezzeret as transgender characters. Thank you for that, genuinely. But I want you to understand that the reason I have these interpretations is because I love Magic Story. And more importantly, I actually read it. I love Magic Story, and I have so much respect for the Magic Narrative team and the work they do.
What most people don't understand is that the Magic Narrative Team is in fact very careful and very loving in their approach to queer representation. You may not know this about me, but I'm friends with A LOT of people who formerly or currently work on Magic / Magic Story. Knowing these people personally, I know for a fact that the Magic creative Team does not create queer characters for "diversity points". They're not just checking boxes. The Magic creative team creates queer characters because the Magic creative team is full of queer people and allies who want to tell stories that reflect their own + fans' experiences. And they have to constantly fight to include more / better queer representation in Magic. They want good queer representation in Magic just as much as we do.
Am I going to defend everything they do? No! Are they perfect? No! They are just people. They make mistakes and they have blind spots. For example, in my essay about my analysis of Jace as a trans man, I explain that the reason my interpretation means so much to me is because there is currently zero meaningful representation for trans men in Magic canon. There are zero transgender male characters in Magic canon who have names. That's a HUGE blind spot considering the number of canon trans characters! That's something that disappoints and upsets me.
I'm not afraid to criticize Magic Story, and I do so very often. But I am critical of Magic story because I love it. My criticism does not equal hatred or unhappiness.
Sorry to hear that their efforts at including better trans representation in Magic would piss you off. I'm sorry that you've given up.
Lastly, I think Liliana is cis, but that's just my headcanon.

I'm going to try answering multiple asks in one posts to cut down on hitting my limit and declutter lol
Tumblr media
I believe they were hyping themselves up for being a transfem ally who got to clapback to transmisogyny in a way that was totally epic and cool and they want us to fuck them so bad
Tumblr media
What annoys me even more about this is that they still call baeddel a slur even though it was brought back for the first time since literally the Middle Ages by a group most agree were completely fucked up, and it's like, hey, shouldn't other people be able to use baeddel in that retaliatory way then? Why can't they have their justice slur?
Tumblr media
We understand. One of us identifies as as cis woman and another as a cis man, although funnily enough, while the trans woman and two non-binary members also have physical dysphoria, the cis man is is probably the one who feels it the hardest including wanting giant knockers. We're a strange bunch. It's okay for systems to have a complicated relationship with their body.
We love you, all of you, and we hope she feels the solidarity. <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly I'm really tempted to next time I shave just because of how good I've been feeling about my butchness lately because of Velvet Nation, and also wanting to triple dog dare transradfems to say I don't look feminine enough to be a trans woman.
Tumblr media
tpwrtrmnky 🤝 JK Rowling
creating a series beloved by queer people only to unfortunately have your brain poisoned into obsessively perpetuating transphobia
huge W for trans women though because she speedran that shit
Tumblr media
I still don't think we need to be questioning her claims about being ostracized and I'd seriously prefer we stop doing that. It is, however, extremely weird she's still ranting about this like a week or two later, it's pretty clear she bare minimum has a problem with melodrama and should probably limit her engagement with the internet until she can get herself together to not collapse like this when people gently point out something she said not vibing.
Tumblr media
Sometimes it feels like transradfems who act like egg jokes are vitally necessary to liberation have the exact same mindset as cis lesbians obsessed with "losing" AFAB people to being trans.
Tumblr media
yeah, well, maybe so, but looking like a woman is a privilege and you're a gender traitor
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I literally quit Reddit and came back to Tumblr because it drove me fucking insane that the D20 fandom kept calling a high schooler a nepo baby because her dad was a real estate agent.
Tumblr media
High fashion, honestly.
Tumblr media
Yes.
Tumblr media
the thing you have to understand is that being a masculine man is bad but so is being a feminine man, being a man is just bad, that's why trans women are transitioning out of it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm so cool and sexy
Tumblr media
Thank you anon!
Tumblr media
Radical feminism, trans or trans exclusive, is in fact a cult, including frequently attempting to isolate minors away from outside support networks. TERFs and transradfems are the most miserable and sickening mirrors of each other.

Ok I'll shut up about Lisa Frankenstein for a while after this, but like
Never Have I Ever seen transmasculine coding or representation done so exactly to my specifications. It's subtextual, but obvious enough to make me feel like the creators of the movie knew what they were doing. First of all the trope of the reanimated creature that has to assemble its body piece by piece as it learns how to get back in touch with its own soul or develop humanity is also just extremely trans (see Susan Stryker's My Words to Viktor Frankenstein... for more) and I've identified with it pretty hard throughout my own transition. The undead victorian boy aesthetic is also generally beloved by transmascs so there's that.
There's never a time when the creature or anyone else informs the audience of the trans experience in that immersion breaking way that so many pieces of media do when they try and take The Trans Experience seriously (usually by making the character tragic or by making them a walking educational pamphlet). To be fair I've only ever seen this problem come up when a character is explicitly trans, I think this is why coding can be more conducive to satisfying representation. I like that the dicklessness reveal was at the end of the movie and it didn't change the character or even the way Lisa saw him at all really. Like it wasn't even surprising because he was missing other parts as well.
He comes out of the closet (literally) during the makeover montage wearing women's clothing once or twice and there's something about Lisa's reaction to it and the creature's reaction to her reaction that feels very relatable. After he cuts the crush's dick off you kind of expect that he wants it sewed onto him because that's the pattern the movie established with body parts.
He was missing a hand and you find out that he wanted it back because he loved to play the piano in his previous life (other people have made posts that go into how his choice of body parts and specifically who he takes them from are significant for Lisa which I recommend checking out). Even if he had a dick before in life, with the knowledge about why he wanted the hand back it just made me think that having male genetalia to him was similarly significant to his character. Like sure it's for having sex with Lisa which is important to him because he loves her, and most cis men would want to have their dicks back if they lost them, but idk I felt seen.
I don't think I've ever seen evidence that a character is transmasc in any piece of media that was both so well incorporated thematically and so on the nose at the same time. It matters to me 🖤

MY unpopular HP opinions
(part 1?)
As someone who’s been a “fan” since 2008
Draco Malfoy is not an innocent
Regulus Black is not an innocent (and jegulus… just doesn’t do it for me)
Lily Evans is sidelined far too fucking much
Snape is an interesting character, but not a good person. Literally that male friend you’ve had forever who you bear your heart to and then he says “i have something to tell you” and if you reject him he calls you a slur. holds onto childhood grudges at his big age. BULLIES CHILDREN?? to the point where he is the WORST FEAR of a 13 yr old boy??
(more under cut)
ATYD, while a great AU fic, has damaged the personalities of characters. ex. in this fic it’s understandable that Lupin has a backbone but in canon it is SO IMPORTANT to his character that he never really had enough backbone to stand up to his friends when they took it too far?? and he grew INTO gaining that backbone
Percy Weasley is overhated, sure he was a bit of a pompous prick at times but that was 1. when he was a literal teenager (aka when everyone’s an arse) and 2. when the job he’d been working towards his entire life spoonfed him propaganda… yeah he’s not perfect but he was trying to do the right thing
All the Weasley’s being in the same house is lazy writing (percy should have been a slytherin and he’s not the only one)
JKR, on top of all the racism, transphobia, etc etc is also… not as good of a worldbuilder as everyone says. Look deep enough into it and everything just falls to bits. Her ‘wizarding world’ (specifically BWW) is just European folklore thrown at a dartboard, with aesthetic English Boarding School dumped on it. and don’t get me started on the rest of the wizarding world. (wym there’s only one school for all of south america. joanne i’m coming for you) at best it doesn’t make sense or is ignorant but at worst it’s actively harmful.
It is not enough to separate the art from the artist when the artist is actively profiting off the art. Especially when the art itself is steeped in Racism, Transphobia, Anti-Semitism, Fatphobia, and more. JKR has her platform and money from these works and is using this platform to spew rhetoric that is directly harmful to Transgender people, ESPECIALLY trans women. As much as you are consuming HP content you better also be actively doing whatever you can to help the people directly affected by her hatred. Instead of merch, maybe donate to a goddamn gfm. Next time you reread the series, put some time aside to analyze the text you’re reading. I guarantee it’s not as good as you thought.
The books could have survived as beloved children’s literature is Joanne had never gotten a twitter. Am I saying there’s nothing harmful in the books? No. But the harmful content would have been overlooked if JKR had kept her mouth shut.
“slytherin skittles” is a stupid ass name and i view anyone who mains baby death eaters with utmost distaste. babygirl those are fascists. literally wizard nazis, joanne was not subtle but perhaps you’d prefer the subtlety of a brick to the face
yeah so this was long and i’m probs not making any friends lol. but hey. new blog! maybe i’ll get hate mail

twin peaks sexuality headcanons
warning: very long
my god do I have THINGS to say about this show and 99 of them are about albert
so I thought before my feed is entirely twin peaks, I’d give my thoughts on the Outrageous Gay Tension of this show with some context
also ignore my handwriting, I’m very sick at the moment and have taken a lot of paracetamol (be more responsible than me kids)
spoilers for all 3 seasons, sorry
Tumblr media
DALE COOPER
he/him
transmasc (FTM)
bisexual
listen. listen. trucoop is real rosencoop is real it’s all real. i love coop more than i can describe (which is weird considering I’m gay) and i heavily head cannoned him as trans and bi the second he drove onto my screen. i think he’d prefer men but women are also his cup of tea, or coffee rather. anyway he deserved better and he deserved to give Harry a little kiss.
Tumblr media
HARRY TRUMAN
he/him
cisgender male
bisexual
i originally would have said Harry was gay, but I’m not a big fan of relationship erasure. yes, he is with josie. that’s why he’s bi.
i think Harry would have had a crush on some guys at school but would have bottled it down, until coop came to town, and he suddenly had a gay crisis. if i had to pinpoint a moment, i would say his initial realisation would have been when coop steals his nose (best scene) and he would have come to terms with it by the end of season 1.
even harry is not immune to the eyes of Dale cooper.
Tumblr media
LAURA PALMER
she/they
cisgender female (but questioning her identity)
biromantic lesbian
first up, I’d like to give my consolidation to Laura palmer and anyone who may be reading who ever experienced something like her. she is my favourite character, apart from Coop Harry and Audrey, and i think she deserved so much better. PERSONALLY i think she and Donna had a very strong emotional romance but not necessarily a physical one. i think that her experiences with men caused her to do a big ol’ comphet and assume she liked being intimate with men. in reality, i think she wasn’t actually attracted to them but was doing it, alongside all the canon reasons, to reject her feelings to women.
and James happened, i guess.
Tumblr media
DONNA HAYWARD
she/they
demigirl
homoflexible
idk whether i just see my identity in donna, but i think she definitely isn’t 100% female. i can’t explain it at all, but i just get the vibe.
as for her sexuality, obviously she and Laura had their thing, but i think her romantic tension with literally all. the. female. characters. initially made me think she was a lesbian. but, we have the James factor.
fucking James (my reaction whenever he is onscreen btw)
i think that her emotional intimacy to Laura would have naturally led her to the other emotionally intimate person in Laura’s life. i think James is the closest thing she has to Laura left, which is so sad. i love donna, idc what the widely accepted opinion is. i believe the ‘Just You’ song scene is her grappling with her feeling with maddy. i mean tbh if my girlfriend died and then her identical twin came back, i would probably be weird about it too.
Tumblr media
AUDREY HORNE
she/they
trans femme (MTF) (i couldn’t fit it on the picture sorry)
biromantic demisexual
AUDREY AUDREY AUDREY AUDREY MY BELOVED
when i tell you i came out of twin peaks 15% gayer it is BECAUSE OF THIS GIRL. i love her storylines, her dialogue, her friendship with coop. it all feels so realistic! and her dancing!
back to the sexuality and gender thing, which is what this post is about, i personally believe her crush on coop came from a place of seeing a happy trans person comfortable in their identity and finding that beautiful. then translating that to love.
as for being biromantic, c’mon. donna and her definitely had a thing going for a bit. her demi sexuality comes from a place of her extreme discomfort in sex work (which is valid if you aren’t demisexual, by the way, but combined with her virginity until she forms a meaningful connection, the pieces fell into place for me. yes i am also demisexual and yes i am totally biased.)

ALBERT ROSENIFELD
he/him (because he is Him)
trans masc (FTM)
gay as fuck
“I love you, sheriff Truman”
I’m sorry??? excuse me?
albert is gay in so many ways it’s not even funny. with coop. with Harry. with gordon in season 3. and my trans headcanon? idk i just sort of vibed with it. normalise head canonning people as gay or trans with no reason.
also i love the idea that Denise, Albert and coop are just a group of trans fbi agents. we already have Mulder from the x files we need more (tell me if you want an x files version of this)
Tumblr media
GORDON COLE
he/him
cisgender male
bicurious
i honestly can’t tell if David lynch would curse me for this post or just shrug it off
anyway. gordon didn’t strike me as being particularly fruity until season 3, when he had his whole trans power speech and those weirdly domestic scenes with albert. like, pop off little fbi husbands. i think he’s still working through period-typical biphobia and isn’t ready to say he’s bi. but i think with time he will be.
someone needs to take me away from this show for like a week and sit me down with some literature. I’d just gay headcanon it anyway (looking at you Sherlock Holmes)
Tumblr media
BOBBY BRIGGS
they/he
demiboy
bisexual
the more i watch this show, the more i think to myself…”Bobby is…me?” idk whether it’s dana ashbrook’s truly unhinged and amazing performance, the weird nervous gay energy and the lack of masculinity for a character who would normally be obnoxiously masculine. i love him so much.
i think Bobby would struggle in the gender norms of being the child of a military man. and the sexuality norms of being the “bad boy” in school. i firmly believe that he is bisexual, because let’s face it, everyone in this godforsaken show is bi. find me ONE straight character. ONE STRAIGHT.
Tumblr media
SHELLY JOHNSON
she/her
cisgender female
heteroflexible and demisexual
SHELLY IS A LITTLE BIT GAY BECAUSE I SWEAR TO GOD AS I WAS WATCHING THIS I WAS THIS CLOSE (HOLDS FINGERS TOGETHER) TO KISSING MY TV SCREEN.
shelly seems like the sort of person to have been raised with certain heteronormative values. but, i think after going out with Bobby, i think she’d have a little sit and think and say “huh maybe i would kiss a girl.” she hasn’t, yet, but that’s just because her crushes so far have been on men. if she met the right girl, she would.
i think her demisexuality comes partly from trauma and also because we need something in common because, if i haven’t made it clear, i LOVE HER.
Tumblr media
HAWK
he/him
cisgender male
gay
don’t be lying about that poetry being for your girlfriend hawk. this is the only character where i will defy canon, fold my arms and say no. i love that hawk got a bigger role in season 3, and i think that based off all i know about him (being the best character) i would headcanon him as being gay. why? idk. look at him?
hawk would totally just rock up one day with a guy on his arm, no explanation, and say nothing until Lucy stumbled into asking him about this guy. and he’d just be like “oh this is my husband. yeah we’ve been married for 6 years. you were at the wedding, we just didn’t tell you it was a wedding.”
iconic.
also i had hair envy the entire show, i wish that when i straightened my hair it was that luxurious.
Tumblr media
LUCY BRENNAN
she/her
cisgender female
bisexual
I’m sorry Lucy, no one is THAT frazzled and not sapphic. it’s a rule.
i feel like Lucy would consider herself straight until she was taught about the internet, got a Facebook account, and promptly shut it down, but before doing that saw the word ‘bisexual’ and felt weirdly drawn to it. Andy was, of course, super supportive if a little confused. she’s still figuring it out.
i feel like she’d wear sweaters in the bisexual colours and be very happy whenever someone noticed.
Tumblr media
ANDY BRENNAN
he/him
cisgender male
straight ally (but not really)
Andy is straight, but like more in a straight with a question mark way. maybe if he hadn’t dated Lucy, maybe if they hadn’t fallen in love, he would have caught feelings for a guy. after Lucy came out, he did some thinking, but decided to keep it to himself. who knows, maybe his tulpa is “kinda gay” (obligatory Buffy reference)
WE ARE DONE LADIES AND GENTS AND PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT EITHER BUT STILL HIGHLY ESTEEMED.
so, thoughts? I’m gonna do a part two with the season 3 exclusive characters, and some characters i forgot, like Norma, ed, Hank, josie, James….and Wyndam Earl. OH and Denise
thank you so much for bearing with me, and love y’all 🫶
(not as much as I’ll ever love Shelly)

why do people think he was meant to be a woman? helia’s design was very clearly based off shojo anime love interests à la tuxedo mask (although i strongly believe the main inspiration for his design was actually goemon ishikawa from lupin iii lol)
exactly!!! the entire "mysterious pretty long haired boy who is gentle but can still fight for you" is lifted directly from shojo anime like ajdkajdg personally, i think he was inspired by hotohori from fushigi yuugi !! (at least in terms of visuals,, ajhgl) (it's extra funny to me cause there's an entire joke about hotohori being so beautiful that everyone thinks he's a woman aldjhg) (also helia's initial design being red instead like... bro.....)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
look at this bitch!!! they stole his hair!!!
anyway this rumor is so dumb too like it's been around for Years (i remember being ten looking at forum posts about this) but no one has ever found proof or even implications. no one from rainbow has ever confirmed this. years ago, someone probably said something along the lines of "helia is so feminine i wonder if he was meant to be a girl at first" and everyone else just fucking ran with it.
i know at one point the popular rumor was that rainbow wanted to introduce two new winx members (aka aisha and helia) but decided that would be too much and just went with aisha instead and made helia a boy. which like. cmon aldhg
but it's just SO so bad like it's literally just white people going "oh wow long hair into art And poetry??? WOMAN" it's like ?? the fans who think they're being progressive for this too like ajdhglda you are Literally just doing gender stereotypes. that's what you're doing here. you saw a man with long hair and a quiet personality and went "aha! i have discovered that you are secretly a woman!" like. buddy. you sound like a right wing lugnut yelling about "we can always tell" like BOOOOOO
again i really do think a good test is if you can't see any of the other specialists (especially brandon and sky) as women or as trans men then you shouldn't headcanon helia like that. if you can't see white muscular men as "feminine" in any way, then you shouldn't be doing that to helia. (anyway woman!sky my beloved) (someone ask me about sky secretly being a girl au NOW) (LESBIAN SKOOM LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO)
anyway i'm starting a new rumor: tecna was actually supposed to be a boy specialist but they didn't want two nerds in the group so they made him a girl and put her in the winx instead. you can still see clear masculine elements in her design like her short hair, brutish personality, and interest in technology. things we all know women would never have. follow for more fun winx club facts!!!!
(that's how stupid ignorant and frankly misogynistic you all sound when making your helia was clearly a woman posts fuck you fuck you fuck you)

1, 2 for as many as you want, and bonus 6 and 18 if you're up for it :))
1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?
Ceall would be considered a trans man. He identifies simply in canon as a man. Ceall, I think, has a complex relationship with gender and a bit of internalized misogyny. In his world, women have more rights and are more respected. However, Ceall is the product of the old ways of thinking about women. His own strenuous relationship with his mother strained his view on womanhood, especially as he was raised mostly by his grandfather and uncle to be a warrior.
I think Ceall was also afraid of what happened to his mother happening to him. I'm not implying in anyway that Ceall's internal conflict with womanhood is what made him trans. I think no matter what he'd figure out he was a boy. He just has an honest fear, and been looked down upon by adults in his life when he was a "woman" which pushed him to transition earlier. No matter what womanhood never felt right.
Ceall I imagine was a little shit head about this until he became a soldier surprisingly and the death of his grandfather. Ceall I think learns to respect women as he gets into his 20s and interacts with them more and with his grandfather not whispering in his ear, but moreso I think he just doesn't respect himself. His views and ideas get challenged a lot with his daughter Fiadh and his sisters. Ceall also needs to examine his view of manhood too but I digress.
2. What's your oc's orientation? (Romantic/sexual/platonic alterous ect) Do they have opinions about it?
I'll go with Ceall again :3. Ceall I think in modern terms would be considered bisexual. In text he speaks often of the women he's slept with, there's an old soldier he supposedly has history with, and his love interest is a prince. Ceall often feels like he HAS to marry a woman (in his world same sex marriage doesn't exist), so he's avoided it for a long time especially as he can't actually have children which is another thing he's expected to have, but being in the Otherworld now he can marry who he wants (but still with the expectation to have children).
Ceall has no real opinions on his sexuality. He's not even the hugest fan of sex. Ceall usually has sex so he can feel in control, especially as his life feels out of control. So to him, it doesn't matter who he sleeps with. Ceall has not "dated" anyone because that would imply he may wish to marry them, up until Ódhran.

6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?
I'm gonna go with Karma for this one. Karma identities as aroace. She LOVES being aroace and has no shame in it. Karma generally is a person that exists without shame. Karma grew up with a loving found family of sex workers and was very educated and at 18 was allowed to even work at the clubs as a waiter. Karma has seen it all and not one thing has sparked her interest. Which in Karma's mind means she's free forever! Her parents had a very unhappy marriage, and marriage felt very forced on her too. But Karma is happy by herself with her beloved cat and her found family.
For labels in general I feel like Karma is watching her friends have existential crisis about their sexuality and she's playing beyblade in the corner
Tumblr media
18. Do you prefer to give your ocs specific labels, or keep it unspecified? Why? If applicable, do you change their labels depending on circumstance?
Hm! I think a bit of both. Usually I know what my ocs label would be in a modern setting in my head, but I usually don't apply them in canon since most of my ocs wouldn't have those words or labels. Like I usually have Zipporah in canon describe himself as a man born in the wrong body, or if he were to speak in his mother tongue of Hebrew he may refer to himself as a *zachar* or *androgynos*.
For the "why", why do I give specific labels in my head? I literally can't not do that, my brain doesn't allow any "unknowns" especially if it can easily be known. Zipporah doesn't identity with his birth gender so in a modern setting he'd be considered trans. Why deny the label if you just already know it?
For changing labels, sure, if the need arises, they change irl all the time.
