The article "How to Store a Gun for Home Defense" by Richard Johnson, published on The Armory Life, emphasizes the importance of balancing quick authorized access to firearms with security for home defense situations. Johnson advises evaluating one's specific household circumstances, including the presence of children, to determine the appropriate storage methods. The article outlines three primary gun storage categories: exposed storage, which offers quick access but no security; hidden storage, which uses concealment to prevent unauthorized access; and lock boxes, which provide a secure yet accessible storage option. Johnson stresses the significance of tailoring storage solutions to individual needs and practicing accessing firearms safely. The article encourages readers to consider a balance between readiness for home defense and preventing unauthorized access to firearms.

Modern harrow is so fun bc like. It feels like you have to pick, right? What side of Harrow do you transpose? Do you make her a super conservative religious kid who is trying so so hard to be what the adults in her life expect her to be? Do you make her the pretentious little goth edgelord she hashtag represents in aesthetic and ambiance and attitude?
And really, it depends on what story you're trying to tell. They're both real and true representations of aspects of Harrow.
But I think it's also worth noting that they are not mutually exclusive. Harrow's religious upbringing was not mainstream, in that it was so concerned with the adversary, it became a fearful kind of worship. Easily analogous to a small-town church so preoccupied with warding against the devil, they forget to do anything else. Such an establishment wouldn't be put off by a devotee who wears head to toe black and has a strong preoccupation with bones. And there are so many beautiful and varied goth freaks in this world, an antisocial devoutly religious weirdo who may or may not contrive to worship the devil in a god-fearing way wouldn't even turn heads.

Chilchuck is one of those special characters where you learn about his past and you go “ohhhh that explains a lot” except where for most characters this happens like once or maybe twice, with Chilchuck it happens literally any time you learn anything at all about him, and every time it’s explaining a different thing he has going on.

The article "How to Store a Gun for Home Defense" by Richard Johnson, published on The Armory Life, outlines the importance of balancing speed of access with security when storing firearms for home defense. It emphasizes evaluating one's circumstances, such as the presence of children, to decide on appropriate storage methods. The article discusses different storage strategies, including exposed storage, hidden storage, and secure lock boxes. Exposed storage offers quick access but lacks security, while hidden storage utilizes concealment to prevent unauthorized access. Lock boxes are highlighted as a secure method offering fast access to authorized users, suitable for both handguns and rifles. The author suggests practicing accessing firearms to ensure readiness in emergencies and finding a storage solution that works best for the individual's specific home defense needs.

i keep trying to make a post about this scene and all my brain gives me is wordless blah. but i will try, bcuz it won’t leave me alone.
the john scenes in nona give this tumult of events where things are escalating so quickly, and you can see how he did what he did, despite all the points along the way where he could’ve stopped. and then this.
in being reminded that they could’ve stopped, "humanity touched him briefly, like a passing shadow."
and thinking about harrow’s lobotomy as her choice, her first and only free choice, and it is an attempt to belatedly stop the lyctoral process.

I was watching someone play Undertale for the first time on youtube and the comments were like "I hope the fandom doesnt ruin this for you" Because of how common it is for youtubers to drop Undertale because of the overbearing fandom.
And it got me thinking and I think I know why this happens. Its because the neutral endings arent fun.
If I hadnt known that pacifist was the 'best' route when I first played it and gone for it.........I dont think I would have liked Undertale if I got a neutral route.
Yeah you are told you can replay and get a better ending, but if I had played Undertale and gotten one of the endings thats just a phone call and then was told "replay the whole thing to get a better ending" I wouldnt have done it. I would have felt like I wasted 8 hours.
And I think thats where the toxicity towards new players comes from.
Because even if people dont want to admit it, they know the neutral endings will probably make people go "that was the game everyone hyped up? Thats it?" and think it was ok at best. So people backseat HARD to try and make sure people get the most out of the game.
Because if you went in truly blind to Undertale and got a 'phonecall' ending, why in the world would you work hard for another ending that might just be another phone call. You would only know that the Pacifist ending is really THAT GOOD, if someone tells you.
Undertale is one of my favorite games of all time. But only because I knew to play Pacifist first
