Chief: What are you doing, Netaro-kun?

Netaro: He’s gonna glare at me if I open it~. I wanna get closer to the rabbits, but Lulee said I'm not allowed to be near them.

Netaro: That's why I was just staring at the rabbits, trying to figure out the best way to make my move. 

Chief: I-I see…

Chief: (So Netaro-kun wants to be friends with the rabbits. Liguang-san really cares about them too, so I gotta watch my words…)

Chief: If you do something for Liguang-san’s rabbits, there’s a chance you’ll please him. 

Netaro: …OH!

Netaro: I understand perfectly! I’ll do that, Doudou!

Chief: ……Let’s just go to the pet supplies section!

Liguang: I’ll leave that to you.

Sojun: Understood.

Netaro: Lulee—!!

Liguang: Hah… It’s you again.

Netaro: Behold, I present these rabbit treats! Please accept this offering~.

Sojun: ...No signs of it being opened. There are no punctured holes or anything either. It should be fine.

Netaro: So will you let me meet the rabbits now!?

Liguang: ….I’ll give you 120 seconds. No more than that.

Liguang: Sit over there and don’t make any sudden movements. Don’t raise your voice too. 

Netaro: Okay~!

Liguang: Only Ryanpin will be let out. It’s used to being around people.

Netaro: Ryanpin~. Wanna eat the dried carrots I bought as an offering for you?

I feel like a cute fall themed idea is a coffee date and then a walk through the local park where you admire the colors of the leaves!!

And turns out the day is quite windy, but the reader didn't bring their jacket, so the character gives them their own jacket so the reader won't be cold😭😭❤❤

Is it kinda basic? Yeah, but I feel like you could make this into something really cute

A/N: In Japan around this time of year, they celebrate Tsukimi, aka the moon viewing festival. I really love the idea of it, and so the idea to incorporate it into a fic popped into my head! And of course, who better to write it for than our own Tsukki?? The play on words is, of course, that Tukishima's family name contains the character for the moon (Tsuki).

"Look at this!" The poster just catches your eye as you're leaving the coffee shop. It's advertising a Tsukimi event at the nearby park, and it's this evening. "This month has gone by so fast, I almost forgot that it's Tsukimi already!"

Kei leans in to get a closer look at the poster and merely hums in acknowledgement. You tug on his hand. "C'mon, why don't we go? It's only a few blocks away, and it's such a perfect evening." You gesture up at the clear sky, already in its full sunset glory.

"You sure?" He raises an eyebrow. "You don't even have your coat," He points out, and you shrug your shoulders in your t-shirt.

"It's not even cold today! Don't try to make excuses just so you can be a stick in the mud." You pause, donning your best pleading look. "Please?"

He sighs, but his grip on your hand tightens. "Well, alright," He agrees, and you grin. "Only because you said please."

You laugh softly. "Thanks, Kei." You swing your linked hands lightly between you. The walk to the park isn't far. When you get there, you find it strung with soft lights, and a few small food and drink stands are giving off delightful smells.

"I guess you want some dango?" He gestures to the nearby stall, and you nod quickly. It wouldn't be Tsukimi without dango. With your snack acquired, you soon make your way to one of the benches set up throughout the park. You have a clear view of the sky once seated, and you look up into the darkening twilight.

"How soon do you think the moon's going to rise?" You ask, glancing at your boyfriend.

He shrugs. "How should I know?" He slides his arm around your shoulders, and you gladly settle in closer to him. Now that the sun is gone, the warm autumn day is turning into a cool autumn night. You try not to shiver in the cool breeze, not wanting to prove him right about the jacket.

You try to keep up a conversation, but it isn't long before you're clenching your teeth to keep them from chattering. "You're not cold, are you?" Kei asks with a smirk, and you shake your head stubbornly.

"I'm fine." You force out.

"Sure," He says, pulling his arm away and letting even more cool air against your skin. You can't help hugging your arms around yourself. Before you can react, he shrugs out of the jacket he's wearing and drapes it across your shoulders with a click of his teeth.

"I don't want you to be cold," You mumble even as you pull the jacket tighter around you, relishing the body heat still clinging to the fabric.

"It's not even cold today," He mimics your earlier words in a squeaky voice, and you immediately punch his shoulder.

"You're so mean to me!"

"Only because you deserve it," He shoots back, sliding his arm around you again and giving your shoulder a gentle squeeze when you pout. His fingertips skim your arm through the fabric of his jacket, and you rest your head in the crook of his neck.

Soon enough, the moon does make its appearance, and you lift your head to look up at it more fully. The autumn moon really does look larger than normal, and seems to shine just a little bit brighter through the crisp night air.

Eventually, you can't help it. You shift your gaze from the moon in the sky to the man beside you. The moonlight softens his features, and your eyes trace the curve of his nose. You feel warmth swelling in your middle the longer you look at him, taking a few moments to memorize his moonlit face in this moment.

"What are you doing?" He finally turns to you, as if sensing your gaze on him.

"Viewing the moon," You answer nonchalantly with the beginnings of a cheeky smile. He rolls his eyes.

"I was wondering how long it was going to take," He sighs at your joke, his exasperated look almost strong enough to disguise the soft smile quirking at the corners of his lips.

"What?" You ask innocently, and reach to sandwich his face between your palms. "You're my moon, Kei."

"You're insufferable," He replies softly, but he closes the gap between you and presses his lips to yours. His fingers soon come up to cup your face, and he deepens the kiss.

"But you love me anyway?" You ask when he finally pulls away.

"Yeah," He says in a low voice, thumb grazing your cheek. "Unfortunately."

I had this thought for a while, how would the entire cast laugh?

Sara Chidouin - Her laugh is very high pitched and hysterical. She laughs like The Joker and it's not what you'd expect from her at all but it's so funny.

Joe Tazuna - Joe snorts when he laughs. It's very funny and dorky. Sara and Ryoko crack up whenever the hear it.

Gin Ibushi - His laughter sounds a lot like meowing. How he's managed to get it to sound that way no one knows.

Keiji Shinogi - Keiji's laugh is kind of weird. He sounds like he's a private detective watching from the shadows as a criminal implicates himself.

Alice Yabusame - His laugh is deep and incredibly loud. He for sure turns a few heads whenever he finds something funny.

More Undercut

Reko Yabusame - Her laugh is wild and maniacal. Much like her brother it's loud and head turning, but it also sounds very charming. She has the type of laugh that you smile when you hear it.

Nao Egokoro - She has a very unrestricted and wholesome laugh. It's super loud and very infectious. When you hear her laugh you just atomically want to be her friend.

Kazumi Mishima - He sounds like a mad scientist from any tv show ever.

Q-taro Burgerberg - He sounds like what "BWHAHA" sounds like in your head.

Kai Satou - His laugh doesn't even have a sound. His body just shakes in movement whenever something funny happens. It's a little weird looking.

Kanna Kizuchi - Her laughter is quiet and delicate. It sounds like the polite laugh you would make in an uncomfortable social situation accept hers is 100% genuine.

Shin Tsukimi - Shin has an almost cutesy laugh. He hates it but when he's not putting on his Midori persona he sounds like a kitten. I can't even express how much he hates this about himself. He's spent a lot of time trying to have a tougher sounding laugh.

Dolls

Ranmaru Kageyama - Ranmaru has a very quiet laugh that sounds just like a chuckle.

Naomichi Kurumada - Naomichi has a very loud laugh that's also very breathy. When he laughs he always sound kind of like he just finished exercising.

Anzu Kinashi - Anzu's laugh is a flurry of high pitched giggles that sound like they're coming from a teddy bear.

Mai Tsurugi - Her laugh sounds like what you think Princess Peach's laugh would sound like.

Shunsuke Hayasaka - Shunsuke's laugh always sounds unsure no matter the situation. It's quiet and usually stops very fast before you get a good grasp on what it sounds like.

Hinako Mishuku - Hinako's laugh almost always sounds sarcastic. Even when it's not at all.

Something I think about often is Sou’s natural (seemingly conscious at first but spiraled into unconscious) masking

Like I noticed quite often how he mirrors the (very distinct due to the incredible writing and translations) mannerisms of traits of other, “stronger” characters, it’s a silly little thing on the surface but is something quite compelling given some thought

(It’s spoiler time yall look away :3)

When he “threw the old him away”, it was a conscious decision to get rid of Shin Tsukimi and all of the “weaknesses” that were a part of that old him (compassion, love, truth, and the desire for connection being among those “weaknesses”) and it was a conscious decision to become the scariest thing he knew, the real Sou Hiyori (now known as midori)

We know that Sou’s anxiety spiked when doing something as simple as LOOKING MIDORI IN THE EYE, that he would even feel his body shaking and sweating, I would agree that this was likely the scariest thing he knew

But it’s conscious at first to become the charismatic lying half asshole that he is in the early parts of the game, the other tweaks to himself don’t seem to be a thought out decision

Later in the game, his distress sprites include a pose that Qtaro (stereotypical strong scary dude) often does when freaked out, and he also adopts a pose of Keijis

These actions don’t seem to actively benefit him in any way, and it seems like he just picked the poses up from the two of them along the way

He’s a chameleon, always changing to fit in and stay safe whether he wants to or not

He’s unable to reach Shin Tsukimi because although he chose to “kill him”, he cannot bring him back in the same way, because shin Tsukimi is gone under the layers and layers of masking to make it out alive

I’m sure Sou was an anxious masker before midori and before the death game, but midori likely expanded all of this with all of the trauma he gave him (don’t get me started on how they all have unique laughs but midori and Sou’s are the same, very much not a coincidence)

“Yahoo~ We’re here!”

“Kou… not so loud, if you mind.” Ruki’s sigh sailed into the living room while steps closed in.

The sunlight danced in the air. Yuriko sat on the couch, listening to the quiet snoozing that had become rather familiar in a couple of recent days. While the tiny foxpire was eager to stretch her arms and kick her legs, she also had inherited her mother’s ability to fall asleep… However, according to Ruki, Tsukimi was even more skillful in that. 

Slowly, Yuriko pulled herself up, holding Tsukimi against her chest.

“...zuhhh…” Puny fingers curled as if trying to snatch sky-blue locks but Tsukimi didn’t even flutter her eyes.

Yuma was the first to roam in. “Fuck, she’s scrimpy as a bean!”

Ruki strolled in, shaking his head. “Yuma… the language.”

“But just look at her…” Yuma lowered his voice and peeked at the little girl more closely. Yuriko tried to stay still and not be intimidated as the tall Vampire towered over them. “Hee… her digits are like sprouts. Kiddo is kinda cute.”

“Mhm, she’s totally adorable.” Yuriko beamed and stroked Tsukimi’s head. The girl yawned, gazing up.

“Guh?”

“Even the baby girl's voice is adorbs.” Kou stepped closer.

“Tsukimi-chan… is so… cute…” Azusa smiled and lifted his hand. To Yuriko’s surprise, it almost seemed like he was wiping the corner of his eye. “Ruki, Yuriko-chan… I’m so happy… for you…”

Ruki scooted closer to Yuriko and Tsukimi, gazing down. “I never thought I would be allowed to have such happiness.”

The words lingered in the air and settled into Yuriko’s heart while a light heat coursed up her cheeks. It was a little embarrassing to hear such a confession from Ruki while all his brothers were listening.

“Don’tcha get all sappy now, Ruki.” Yuma laughed. As his voice grumbled through the room. Tsukimi turned her head.

“Wah!” She squinted her eyes and waved her hand in Yuma’s direction.

“See? Kiddo thinks that was sappy too!”

“Umh… actually… She usually says that… when…” Yuriko shifted. It was scary to talk to Yuma sometimes but perhaps she should stand up for Tsukimi. “When she is displeased with something… like… like… loud voices.”

“Hah?!”

“Waah!”

Yuma blinked but then burst into laughter. “Haha, Ruki’s daughter for sure! Alright, Kiddo. I’ll shut my big mouth.”

Even Azusa chuckled. “I can’t believe… that someone… is actually… able to… make Yuma… quiet…”

“The baby girl is the real charmer. But I can be one too~” Kou smirked and pulled something behind his back. He swayed a white teddy bear to Tsukimi. “See, Tsu-ki-mi-chan~Your uncles came, bearing gifts~”

“Guh?” Tsukimi squeezed Yuriko’s shirt but stared at the bear with wide eyes.

“Oh my… that’s huge…”

“Indeed. The same size as our angel.” Ruki chuckled. “Thank you, Kou, Yuma, Azusa.”

“Yes, thank you so much!” Yuriko managed a tiny bow while still holding Tsukimi.

“That’s not… all…” Azusa swayed a bag and pulled out a book. “We went… to the Demon World… and got this fairytale book… for Tsukimi-chan… We thought that… she might… like it…”

“That was really thoughtful, Azusa.” The corners of Ruki’s mouth jumped upwards while a faint glimmering appeared in his eyes. “Thank you. Let us read it together.”

“Yes, thank you. We should do that. I, too, wish to hear all these tales from the Demon World.” 

“Then sit down, so that we can get into it.” Suddenly, Kou was behind Yuriko’s back, pushing her back into the couch. He even managed to slip a pillow between her and the backrest so that she could sit more comfortably.

“You should read it, Azusa.” Ruki leaned closer to his wife and gestured to Azusa to open the book.

Chapter 9: Chakra control

After getting back, I stretched my body and laid down.

Entering back in my dimension, I started refining chakra while sleeping.

The seals help me all throughout the process. I don't  have to keep an eye on it. 

With my control and seals helping me I can multitask it while sleeping.

After 5 years of sleep, once I felt Matatabi was back with Kokuo I woke up and went outside. Due to time seal only two and a half years went by.

They came to my location to greet me with a hug, 

"welcome back" 

I hugged them back with my tails to surprise them and it was a success. " Brother, you have grown 5 tails. I am so happy for you "

She hugged my fluffy tails with stars in her eyes. " they are even more fluffy than kurama's" I laughed at the comparison.

"Ho! you have felt his tails?" I asked with a smile but my eyes were hollow as if devoid of any light.

Sensing something wrong with my behavior Matatabi panicked inside and hurriedly said "when we were just born we used to tug his tails, as he had more. we used to say 'you have so many you won't lose any if you give one to us.' "

It helped in brightening my mood a little ' I wonder why I behaved like that'. looking at Kokuo, who was looking at me with the same hollow eyes that held obsession.

I just smiled at her and gave her my tail.

Kokuo just hugged my tails interlocking with hers to my surprise with eyes closed. 'They say be careful of the silent ones, so true~~~.'

( A/N : interlocking tails is the highest form of intimacy for foxes. It's true I didn't  make any of that up. Definitely)

Matatabi also noticed and jumped on her yelling "Kokuo, you stealing cat!!".

" You are the cat here" Kokuo came with a fast reply. ' she really said it.' I thought.

It will be annoying now. " grrr, I am a tiger not a cat you slop.." she growled only to be cut off by me.

" That's enough, don't you guys think?" I said with a smile but my eyes were telling a different story, they audibly gulped and backed away.

Two most calm and collected girls acting like that, they sometimes give me headaches.

Now ignoring their adorable puppy eyes I said " I will give you seals to increase the density of your chakra once your growth is complete."

They nodded and asked " why not now? You are also training". Kokuo also nodded at her questions.

" Well you are in your growth phase which when completed will determine your chakra quantity which will be the permanent upper limit.

But that doesn't  mean you can't  get stronger.

If I start your density training now it will cause complications in the future for example irregular chakra, imbalanced chakra, poor chakra control.

So for now focus on chakra control. It will be easier and more productive in the future" they nodded indicating that they understood.

" For your chakra control you need to make chakra leave your body and for a thin layer on your body. Once done, come back to me for the next step".

They just closed their eyes and started training.

And after a day like an abandoned cat with puppy eyes came to me and said " Tsukimi nii-chan we did it."

She was literally looking like a puppy asking for attention which I gave " yep, you did well my little cat."

While patting her head with my tail, it feels weird to use a paw to pat. Anyway it worked as she was in her own world 'mine, he said I was his hehehe'.

' Oye ! Oye! What's up with those yandere-like eyes? Ah they look so attractive. Don't use such deadly weapons Matatabi.' I thought, shaking my head to get rid of such thoughts.

[ KOKUO'S POV ]

Standing Beside Matatabi I was thinking ' did she just accept being called a cat, hmm she didn't even hear him fully before going in her own dreams.'

I froze, feeling a tail caressing my head. It felt so good. Soon I snapped out of it hearing " you did good too Kokuo." Ah! He has been like that since we know him.

Always taking care of us. I melted in the embrace of the tail. Closing  my eyes. Grandpa was always there too but we couldn't always connect well like Kurama with him. Then big brother always helped us with everything we needed.

He hated when someone acted like a brat, since we were more mature than the rest in our behavior, he never scolded us. 

Even then he cared for us equally. He was more of a family to us than anyone was to him.

He sometimes tells us of his past but never everything. He tells us enough so that we can learn of the World's dark side and we can only imagine how he was treated as literally being a weapon for power; he called it the divine tree.

I nodded at him and asked " what next brother"

[ TSUKIMI'S POV ]

"Lets see make chakra threads between your fingers as thin as possible once you are able to create it as thin as a hair I will tell you next step." I replied after thinking for a while.

Snapping out of her day dream, Matatabi turned to Kokuo " let's go, we will do it as soon as possible and spend time with brother before the rest of the idiots come back."

I just stared at her dragging the poor girl out of the room.

' should I train as well? They may need a month doing that exercise. I should try some cool technique to pass the time.'

I just closed my eyes and made a rasengan after thinking what were the steps for it. " it's too easy for my chakra control"

I can easily control its size to the level of a meteor. ' let's add elements to it.' That was also easy to manipulate. I can manipulate every element to near perfect due to my chakra control.

I formed all styles of rasengan, then I keep on mixing more elements in a single rasengan but I need elements that accept each other like lightning with water, Wind with fire, earth with fire to form magma.

They were on another level. I can literally feel the power of the technique although it's  nothing to me but it will still do some damage to me. I need to improve my elemental resistance.

I even added yin and yang to a rasengan it formed a black hole-like  ball. These elements don't  mix but co-exist to stabilize one another along with the concept.

Once detonated this could be as lethal if not more than a tailed beast bomb. Once done playing with them I just dispersed the chakra which is only possible with my level of control.

If not the technique would lose control that's  why every jutsu formed has to be fired, especially high level ones.

I went to my dimension, formed a Huge hot spring enough to reach my chest and went into it to soak myself. This is one of my favorite things about Japan: a private open bath, so relaxing.

I remember there is a seal that I recently came to know of here due to my increase in mastery of seals and chakra, it's very hidden, that Hagoromo never trusted me not that I am surprised.

He thinks that I will revive her, well kind of true the girl had suffered enough. I'll knock some sense in her too.

The seals will trap me especially, using my chakra as base and alarms that will alert the old coot if I temper with the moon's seal. I destroyed the seal except the sensing part. I will let him know that I will be freeing her. Do what you can hehe~~.

I drifted sleeping there in my dreams. I was being pestered by some kids, ugh these demon spawns. I came out of the dream in horror. " ugh I hate kids. I can't  see myself having one. "

here's a wip thing for wip wednesday. someone i know does these things every wednesday so i decided why not try to do the same. here's something ive kept in the drafts for a while but ive picked up on writing again.

Shin Tsukimi x Reader under the cut

"Is that any way to treat your customers?" You replied, stalking over to the counter. He was leaning over it, his phone flat against the surface with some random mecha game on. "You're not even doing your job either."

"I thought I told you to stop coming to see me at work," he said, looking back down at his game. You watched as he tapped on a few different things, swiping through different characters. It was kind of cute how lame his interests were.

"When else am I supposed to see you?" You said, leaning over the counter and getting into his space, pretending you were interested in his game. "It's not like you have your own place I can go to."

That seemed to strike a nerve with him, if the way he raised his head and glared at you meant anything. You just smiled sweetly, because in the end you both knew you were right.

He sighed, grabbing his phone and turning it off before stuffing it into his back pocket. He pulled away from you and straightened himself out, huffing in annoyance.

"What do you want? Just come to annoy me?" He looked over the small display next to the counter, shuffling the small candies around like he was fixing them up. You grabbed one and placed it on the counter.

"Hm maybe," you said, spinning the candy around and pushing it toward him. "My friend had her club today and I didn't feel like sticking around. I got bored standing by the gate, so I wanted to come see what you were up to."

"Is that really it?" He snatched the candy from the counter, stuffing it between all the other ones on the tiny shelf display. The second he placed it back you picked it back up and put it on the counter, along with a few others. He sighed to himself, watching as you picked apart the display he had so graciously put together.

"I mean, there is something I want to do," you replied, eyeing all the colorful wrappers carefully. The red and white soft fruit chews would make a good snack for later. You slipped a few up the sleeve of your sweater. "When do you get off your shift?"

Shin's eyes move from your sleeve back up to your face. You keep your expression even, as his eyes flicker back down to your sleeve once more. He looks back up and his eyes seem more tired than before.

"Eight. Can you put those back, please?" He says, picking up the ones you'd spread over the counter and putting them back in their place. "Stealing wouldn't look good on your college application."

"Like you would know about that," you retort, and he visibly stiffens. You laugh as he scowls, putting the candies back away a bit faster. You open a pocket on your messenger bag, letting the candies from your sleeve slide down into it.

"Besides," you breathe, letting your voice lower to a whisper, "I wouldn't be the one getting into trouble."

Shin freezes. His head turns slowly towards you, mouth pressed into a thin line. You can practically see him shaking with anger, and the thought of him lashing out almost makes you want to laugh. You want to see him seethe, you want him to call you out. Hear his speech get funny as he gets upset. Though it seems like he might be too tired for that today. He visibly deflates, letting out a long sigh as the fire dies in his eyes.

"Just go home already," he says. "I don't want to do this right now."

"Aw, what's wrong?" You mock sympathy. "Having a bad shift? Let's take a break."

"No, no it's not," he shook his head, suddenly exacerbated. "We shouldn't. Just go home already. I'm not in the mood."

"Oh come on, you'll enjoy it. I've literally been waiting all day just to see you," you say, leaning in a bit closer again. He turns away from you a bit, but he doesn't move back. "I don't even come to see you that often, and I know I'm the only real friend you have. Don't you get lonely sometimes?"

"You think insulting me is going to make me want to have sex with you?" He bites back, turning to face you. That's the Shin you were looking for. "I know what you're doing and I'm not falling for it again."

You lean up against the counter, bringing your hands up around his shoulders. He gasps as you wrap your arms around his neck and pull his face closer to yours. Your hands play with his hair, rough and damaged from multiple bad dyes. The turquoise looks good on him at least.

"Hm, but you already have, haven't you?" You whisper. He's staring intently at you, a blush rising to his cheeks. You can practically hear his heart beating out of his chest. "You could stop me if you really wanted to. If you really tried, this would all have been over weeks ago."

His breathe is hot on your face. It smells like cheap ramen. Your lips are so close to his that even just the slightest movement forward and you'd be kissing. But you knew better to give him that now. You didn't want to do it here either.

"I'll let you choose the pack this time."

oh my god wait let me talk about sara and shin for a minute

when Shin first saw Sara's percentage during his first trial he assumes the worst. he assumes Sara to be some mastermind, someone working for the evil, someone cunning and manipulative and calculated, he assumes that she is like Sou Hiyori, and he doesnt want to be a victim to another sou hiyori, so he becomes Sou Hiyori.

he steals his name, steals his personality, steals his mannerisms, does anything to keep him from becoming a victim to yet another Sou, and if that means being someone elses Sou then... well so be it.

so he terrorizes Sara, he lies to her, manipulates her, riles her up and tears her down and he tells himself that he has to do this to survive, to save himself from going through what he already had.

and sure, maybe sometimes he feels bad, Sara doesnt seem like she's evil, just a little... odd, for a teenage girl. but thats just Sara acting, at least. thats what he tells himself, because he cannot let himself go through that again. he's doing what he thinks he has to in order to not get hurt.

Shin views Sara as Sou. he feels like she is going to do what Sou once did to him, but he could not be more wrong.

Sara is not a Sou, she's a Shin.

in the third chapter, Sara meets Sou, and he treats her the way he treats Shin. Sara is a new project for Sou to study. She interests him, in the same way Shin did, but not for the same reasons

Sara gets pushed around by Sou, he corners her, tells her how horrible, how evil and manipulative she truly is, how much he just loves that side of her, and how much he wanted it back, he tells her how she was responsible for her best friends death, he wants her to suffer.

despite what Shin thought to be true, Sara did not become Shin's new Sou, Sara becomes Sou's new Shin.
