It's half 6 in the morning and I haven't slept, so have some sleepy vampire thoughts

- Louis wearing a scented, satin eye mask, and his outrageously expensive, matching set of floral, silk pajamas that he all but rolled his eyes at when Armand got them for him but now he rarely sleeps without them

- While at Trinity Gate, Louis is not always entirely sure if Armand slept beside him or in his own room/coffin as he will sometimes retire long after Louis is asleep and be gone by the time Louis wakes. But Louis is glad that Armand knows he has an open invitation to join him in his bed if it brings him comfort

- Louis can cat nap in almost any position, sitting fully upright book in hand, standing up, doesn't matter. He will however deny that he was sleeping if interrupted

akjhsdbsldfhv this is a wild thing to read at night because, I shit you not, I own a lavender-infused satin eye mask that I do, in fact, wear to bed every night LMFAO!! I love that though, like honestly even if they don't need it for the Death Sleep, maybe Louis is more sensitive to light than the others so he likes his lil sleeping mask 🥺 and honestly yeah, I think Louis either goes to bed wearing a ratty, oversized, worn-out TVL band tee and nothing else, or he's going full Ebenezer Scrooge with a matching pajama set

also YES armand always has an open invitation to join louis in bed!! sometimes I like to think that armand sleeps in on purpose so that he can be there when louis wakes up (lestat does this too lmao) but when he's not there, louis absolutely checks for signs of armand— are the sheets rumpled on his side of the bed? did he leave anything on his night stand?

also oh my GOD i'm obsessed with louis being able to sleep anywhere, imagine all the court meetings he's snoozed through while still sitting completely upright at the table afsdxacedjghfvjh

3. hurt today, here tomorrow by me bc actually, I'm really proud of this. It's pre-John/Ronon, mostly Ronon, post Sateda episode dealing with Ronon and what happened and also John's feelings regarding Ronon putting a knife to his own neck.

Actively, I'm working on uh, I'll be nice and say 5 but really I have 10? My most recent one is my good things happened to john Sheppard and this is the beginning which amuses me.

“How about an x-203 wing?” John asked, half-jokingly.

He was aware of the eyes on him.

“We have two we can spare I believe,” Shen Xiaoyi said. “They are stationed at Area 51 but we have increased production of the wings and so we will be able to shift them to Atlantis, provided that they volunteer of course.”

John stared, before looking over at everyone else who seemed half asleep and not paying attention. Rodney was already tapping at his tablet, lost in his own world and Woolsey was writing down a list of things they John was sure they needed. He looked back towards the IOA who were also looking at their tablets. John’s hands suddenly felt very empty.

“Oh, we have three,” Nechayev said. “It is more international than the others but I think that it would be a good choice for Atlantis, yes?”

Coolidge nodded before he looked at John. “So, three wings. Anything else?”

What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

I step back. I close the story and I work on something else, I do something else. Go see friends, go watch a movie, allow myself some grace and come back to it when I'm feeling ready. If it's really bad I'll wait two weeks, transfer it to my phone, settle in with a drink and read it as a reader not a writer and usually that helps.

Terence is a very neat and orderly person. He is not strict or uptight about it by any means - he won't lose sleep over a stray sock on the floor where it shouldn't be - but he prefers his space (and Dion's, if he can help it) to stay tidy. It helps his mental space, and it just feels good to not have a bunch of clutter just laying around.

Soft-hearted as he may be, and not at all shy to show his emotions - Terence is not delicate by any means. Dion is a weakness of his, it's true, and his heart is so deeply rooted inside of Dion's own chest that it's easy for him to lose control of his emotions when Dion is involved - but he is a very sturdy man, who has more than a fine grip on the dragoons when he is needed as second-in-command. He is a leader by nature, choosing only to follow when it comes to Dion. He can be quite firm if the situation calls for it, and dragoon battle style in general tends to be a bit...vicious. This is all the same for Terence.

i think the falling asleep part might also mean you have to accept the pain and the issues, cause when you fall asleep you're succumbing to it you have to let yourself fall asleep rather than force yourself to stay up. and only once you've done that can you wake up and heal and move on

A character/story arc that bores me to tears

well any filler whatsoever. i know some people are into that but the immediate drop on quality is so 📉 i couldn’t bear it. but as far as canon stuff. obvious answer but the war arc. it definitely has great moments but WHY does it take so long and is like over the course of 48 hours or something??? i cannot. none of the characters really bore me tho. idk maybe hanzo and that samurai guy. i didn’t really hate them tho even their fight wasn’t too bad just kinda random lol.

i went back into some old notes of mine where i kept naruto fic ideas. idk if i’d ever get around to writing them but i may ask well share some of the (i think) good ones (yes they are mostly sns):

exploration of the reasons naruto loves ramen, starting out superficial but going more in depth to all the emotional connections like with iruka and everything

naruto and sasuke are wandering around the ninja school post war and recreate the accidental kiss, only this time it isn’t an accident

post war where sasuke and naruto get to be teenagers. they’ve fought literal gods, but never had to date or confess love!!

naruto and sasuke go to karaoke together and one of them tries to hint at a love confession by singing broken youth while making eye contact with the other (“please kiss me please kiss me all night.” yes this one is kind of silly)

for a long time i had this idea for a modern urban fantasy AU. so it’s like modern japan, and magic is real but waned a lot in the modern era. naruto is a normal guy who finds a weird, emaciated stray dog fox thing that he has a psychic connection with and this turns out to be kurama. he meets sasuke who lives nearby and together they try to nurse kurama back to health while coming to understand who kurama is and his connection to naruto and naruto’s connection to sasuke in a past life (so basically a reincarnation AU)

for art i really love anything that people make, especially soft, tender, snuggly. yes. oh this is about sns too. obviously.

because sometimes there are invisible tests and invisible rules and you're just supposed to ... know the rule. someone you thought of as a friend asks you for book recommendations, so you give her a list of like 30 books, each with a brief blurb and why you like it. later, you find out she screenshotted the list and send it out to a group chat with the note: what an absolute freak can you believe this. you saw the responses: emojis where people are rolling over laughing. too much and obsessive and actually kind of creepy in the comments. you thought you'd been doing the right thing. she'd asked, right? an invisible rule: this is what happens when you get too excited.

you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.

you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.

don't fuck up. they're all testing you, always. they're tolerating you. whatever secret club happened, over a summer somewhere - during some activity you didn't get to attend - everyone else just... figured it out. like they got some kind of award or examination that allowed them to know how-to-be-normal. how to fit. and for the rest of your life, you've been playing catch-up. you've been trying to prove that - haha! you get it! that the joke they're telling, the people they are, the manual they got- yeah, you've totally read it.

if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.

you stare at your therapist, whom you can make jokes with, and who laughs at your jokes, because you are so fucking good at people-pleasing. you smile at her, and she asks you how you're doing, and you automatically say i'm good, thanks, how are you? while the answer swims somewhere in your little lizard brain:

how long have you been doing this now? mastering the art of your body and mind like you're piloting a puppet. has it worked? what do you mean that all you feel is... just exhausted. pick yourself up, the tightrope has no net. after all, you're cheating, somehow, but nobody seems to know you actually flunked the test. it's working!
