One of the benefits of making your school AU specifically a university AU is that there are so many ways to justify a particular character seemingly always being on campus which don't require them to be a student or teacher. "Middle-aged alumnus who hasn't taken a class in decades but still hits the student cafeteria every day because they live nearby and it's cheaper than fast food" isn't merely plausible, I literally knew that guy.

Another Saturday shout-out for my maybe actual current favorite Wolfstar WIP, The Collection by the amazing @barneylove, part of a stunning series called University AUs (and honestly each part is freaking gorgeous, read them all).

Just got another update today and every chapter of this fic is incredible. Every character is so raw and real and alive, the Marauders’ dynamic is EVERYTHING, Wolfstar love is precious, new loves for James and Peter, feat. beautiful depictions of Lily and Marlene friendship as well. 

Everything each character struggles with is so undeniably honest, it hits you right in the solar plexus. Also the migraine representation is so accurate it just makes me want to weep. In short, read THIS FIC!

Ah, university -- full of new independence, full of new responsibility, full of new opportunities to flourish or fuck up spectacularly. In university, we meet new people, learn new ideas, try new things. There's parties and romance and spontaneous chaos of all kinds (like international road trips to attend book tours).

Submit your favorite University AUs here! The form asks for some basic fic information, and you're encouraged to include a quick blurb about why you liked it. Any and all fics that include at least one member of One Direction as a central character can be submitted -- that's any rating, any ship (or lack thereof), any length, any publication date, any author, anything. Submit your own work, your friend's work, your favorite fic from a decade ago or something you stumbled across last week.

Submissions are open until Monday, January 15th, when all submitted fics will be posted and a new category will be announced.
