We’re not sure if we’ll be writing again, just based on schedules alone (we both are working more than ever, are busier than ever, and have a lot of things going on rn!). But we have found ourselves talking about the OCs more and more and wanted to say hi and see how everyone was doing.

We also were wondering if anyone would be interested in a synopsis of Nat’s planned ending. I think we may have some chapters we never posted too. I’m not sure how many we have, but I think there’s at least one we could share maybe.

Danny stumbled through the forest trying to get away. His family was out on a camping trip and things go less than ideal. His identity gets outed and before he can get his parents reaction he bolted into the wilderness. His heavy footfalls and the blood rushing in his ear were the only thing he could hear eventually as he ran. Soon though he came to another clearing with what looked like a plane and a camp site that seemed to only house the bare essentials.

His foot accidentally steps on a twig and it only takes a second to find himself staring at the twin he abandoned years ago when he died the first time. He held Danny’s own favorite sword against his throat.

so um anyway jiang cheng canonically does not consider wei wuxian a servant—let alone “just a servant”—and does not treat him like one. idk where this idea came from but it is factually untrue.

in fact, jc repeatedly indicates that he thinks wwx’s station is on par with other gentry, that he likes the idea of being part of a pair with wwx, and even jokes with wwx, mocking the notion that wwx could be a servant.

after wwx was taken in, they were functionally raised as equals, and there is nothing in their interactions as youths that indicates or even hints that their relationship was master/servant instead of simply childhood friends.

and obviously wwx is not sect leader, so yeah, he is expected to defer to jc after the war, (and that’s not an inherently bad thing, that’s how leadership works) but jc lets him get away with SO much shit that Would Not Fly if wwx were a servant (or treated like one). if jc only regarded wwx as a servant, there is literally no reason to be as lenient as jc was with wwx’s loose canon tendencies.

i’m sorry, but there is simply no valid reading of their relationship where the dynamic of their relationship is master/servant. their relationship simply is not built on obligation, as much as they both try to act like it. this assumption undercuts a huge amount of context and motivation, leaving nonsensical character decisions and gaping plot holes. there is no mdzs unless they care about each other as individuals.

your personal preference does not determine whether writing is good or not good, nor does it determine if a writer needs to “grow” or not. I’m tired of hearing people (especially non-writers) talk about fanfiction and author’s work as if their opinion determines what is worthy of being called “real writing” and what is not.

if you’re writing, it counts. if you spent time on it and worked creatively, it counts. if you decided to write even one sentence, it counts.

don’t let overly critical people keep you from doing something you enjoy. write what you want, how you want, based on how good it sounds to you. everyone else can shut the fuck up about it.

1. Oh gosh uh… 10 so far with speaking roles I think, 17 I believe, including people mentioned who don’t speak? That’s what you get when a work gets that long I guess 😭

2. That I’ve read or written? That’s honestly such a hard one I’ve read so many incredible amazing fics. I am currently in my @aqpippin obsession era and sleeping with strangers actively changed my entire life by being so good, you already know that the as of yet unpublished halldoll hanahaki WILL be on this list as soon as you finish it and let me see it 👀 and then of course I have to include the fic that inspired me to start writing and publishing my own drag race fanfic, no different from anywhere else (lovingly called bodyguard au by me). As for my own fic? I’m very proud of my newest one :) and I have a few things im working on in my brain that I’m excited to get onto paper

I know this is probably evil to say, but I’m reviewing a document my company contracted out to be written. Which is always so painful. I think I could get a better written document if I asked Chatlander to do it 😒 it’s unreadable, and focuses on all the wrong things. Idk who these medical writer contractors are but I don’t think they know anything about biology or medicine beyond grade school, nor about what normal human writing should sound like.

awhile back I realized I was getting pretty badly addicted to my phone and watched all these dopamine detox videos and downloaded an app blocker (it’s called opal HIGHLY recommend) along with always being on do not disturb or I’ll even turn off my phone for good chunks of time, to try to get a healthier relationship with just my phone/social media but it’s still so annoying that my brain is like 🥺 when my phone isn’t being blasted with notifications 24/7

We know we haven’t really been able to do much in character contents since September due to placement work this semester taking up much time and energy, but with Micah’s 2023 “birthmonth” starting on December 1 and ANHA season finale 3 coming up soon in the following month, we decided that as of November 30th, we won’t be taking new non-plotted threads while we’ll be a lot more slower to get around to plotting and prompt replies ( we’re always open for plotting and new prompts, however ).

This is a point of the series that is extremely important and personal with both the Starwake System’s character developments and the series’ plotline, and we also plan to do extensive meta / study posting in regards to Micah and the Starwake System across December, so we wish to prioritize our original creations so much infinitely more until the end of December / ANHA season 3. If we can get to prompts and old threads, we will.

Unless tag-stated / plotted otherwise, old threads + new prompt replies and any new established dynamics are to be a retro to at any point of September to November, before when Micah visits where their family is with Warlock ( Los Angeles in our canon series ), which is their last active reported location to stop by for their special miracle / mission, along with celebrating the holidays along with Micah’s 2023 “birthmonth”.

As always, we extremely appreciate the patience and support. To those who’s been openly loving and supporting our original series, thank you so so so much! We’re finally reaching to the end of saga 1 season 3 and it’s been an amazing journey with this season, despite us not being able to do much across the autumn months due to real life business.
