i love how the moment they make president snow a young hot guy they forget the literal war crimes he's committed and how many people died due to him? like he's not even morally grey like the bookstagram girlies claim? he's literally straight up evil and killing children just to maintain his own power. GIving victors and the rest of the people of panem an illusion of glory and fame while secretly using them as pawns on his personal chessboard. Like I love myself a character with skewed morals but this *gestures around myself vaguely* is not it
I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.
tbh I find being in the presence of a real gun to be too spooky, but with replica guns I can really just focus on the design elements and this one is SO SLAY
The literal dumbest thing I see in fandom is someone going out of their way to tell a fan of a villainous character “if he was real, he’d kill you!”
I see this allllll the time when it comes to Sukuna in particular, but also with characters like Toji, Dabi, Shigaraki, etc.
Why do these people think we’re fans of these characters in the first place? Hint: we don’t love Sukuna because we think he’s a kind, respectful guy who will treat us right, okay? We’ve got Nanami for that.
Also these men aren’t fucking real. They’re imaginary. So if I’m imagining they’re real, I can imagine whatever else I want about them. I can imagine I’m exactly their type.
My current version, of my ever-evolving theory, on what constitutes "aromantic stories" is that first off, there's absolutely a wide spectrum between 1, "this is explicitly undeniably about aromanticism," and 2, "there sure is a noteworthy amount of aro subtext, but representing aros clearly wasn't the author's intent." But the spectrum is best completed not as a straight line, but as a triangle, where the 3rd point is "the story probably wasn't created with aromanticism at the forefront of anyone's mind, but was created with subverting particular expectations related to romantic relationships in mind." And in my experience, a lot of juicy aromanticism-related experiences that are underrepresented in their own right can lie in that third option, regardless of whether the characters are aro-spec or allo or kind of whatever you headcanon.
So, what does make a story on this spectrum "aromantic?" IDK, I wouldn't necessarily include all or most of the firm 2s (unintentional subtext) under the aromantic story mantle. But when you get into the gray areas that inch a little closer to 1 and 3, let alone the gray area between 1 and 3 where intent is ambiguous but ultimately may not matter, it makes sense that different people will have different takes.
jaykyle au where they're theatre kids in the same school but they're not the actors jason's the scriptwriter/director and kyle is the prop manager (i don't know the official terms sorry) and they'd probably do an amazing job on the backstage setting if they could stop arguing for 5 whole seconds about their artistic visions and ideas and how "this would obviously work better this way"
catra reminds me of frollo from the hunchback of notre dame, with her whole “if this person i’m attracted to doesn’t choose me over everything else, then they must die”
I......really don't see how people can look at this scene and think magnifico is right, you Must not be Listening
"It's my Responsibility to grant the wishes that are good for rosas" he says after telling a 17 year old that her 100 year old grandfather is a terrorist for wanting to play music that would Inspire people to follow their dreams,
"It's my Responsibility to grant the wishes that are good for rosas" he says after singing about how Beautiful and good ALL the wishes are, Proving that he knows that their are no "bad wishes" just wishes that don't help him gain Power or Stay in power,
Magnifico Labels rosas as the place where your dreams come true, he labels Himself as someone who WILL grant your hearts desire,
But thats a lie, magnifico said so.
"People come here cause they know they can't make their own dreams come true, the Journey too Hard, it is too Unfair, they Give their wishes to me, willingly! And i make it so they forget their worries" Notice how he Didn't say "grant them"? no he said "i make it so they forget their wish" Magnifico Doesn't like granting wishes Which is why he only grants 1 wish per month cause granting wishes equals losing wishes and that means losing Power so in his eyes giving people back their ungranted wishes will make him lose power, The fact that magnifico sees Sabrino's wish as a Threat is a Big Enough Red Flag in itself!
"Good for Rosas" is Actually just "Good for Me" Because sabrino's wish IS good for rosas and thats the problem it's good for the kingdom but not good for magnifico, "good for rosas" means good for magnifico, not rosas.
"Protecting" is actually just "Hoarding" so magnifico can Stay in Power, if magnifico gives back the wishes and let people pursue their dreams themselves then he loses Control and Power over people.
"Protect" and "Good for rosas" are just words that magnifico uses to Gaslight with, they both have Selfish meanings Behind them.
There is no good reason to not give people back their wishes if magnifico is not going to grant them, there is also no good reason to not grant sabrino's wish, Magnifico Himself said that the wishes are good and paints them as "Dangerous" when he thinks the wish poses as a threat to his Power OR he just Doesn't Care about the wish at all, there is no good reason why magnifico makes people forget their wishes, the way real people Believe every lie that comes out of magnifico's mouth but also get mad and ignore everything that shows his True Character is Frustrating, Y'all really did Missed the Point here, the point is that magnifico decides and ONLY he decides if you get to live out your dreams, NO ONE should have the position or Power to decide if you get to live out your purpose in life, the point is he and nobody but him is in Control and has Power Over Everyones lives at all times, asha understood this and Thought that it's Unfair that people don't get to live their dreams like their were promised too, Like how magnifico promised them, but he Broke that promised for Power.
