i feel like poolverine easily could’ve been one of those “they’re flirty but it’s mostly unserious” situations, and for most of the movie yeah they were extremely gay, but wade’s been like that with other guys and it was never treated as a serious type of relationship before. they’re willing to die for each other, but even then the romantic aspect of their relationship could be glossed over because it’s a superhero movie, that’s just what they do, and they’re working together to save a whole timeline—it’s not just about them. but then the movie doesn’t end with them saving the day and moving on. i think this’s really the part that sells poolverine as a genuine relationship to me… logan’s leaving, and wade calls for him. he can’t stand to let him go. then he introduces him to his family, and logan stays. he doesn’t really need to stay, but they’ve both decided they’re better off with one another than without

for the first couple days after saving the world, Wade and Logan don't do to much, they have that party, they sleep for 36 hours, then they mostly hang around the apartment for a few days, only really leaving to walk Mary and get take out, which means that by the end of their first week of knowing each other they've been together basically 24/7 the whole time they've known each other, and this Does Something to Logan.

He's a pack animal, and as much as Wade pisses him off and he spends a lot of his time complaining about never being alone, he realizes the first time that Wade leaves the apartment and he stays that he Does Not Like Wade being so far away from him. He knows Wade will be fine, obviously, it's not even 100% about feeling protective, he just feels off. So the next time Wade goes somewhere Logan doesn't strictly need to go, he just goes anyway, Wades certainly doesn't complain, maybe tease him about it but definitely not complain, so then that just becomes how they operate. It's not like Logan has any other obligations in this universe anyway. It becomes a given that wherever Wade's going, Logan will also be there, usually just standing menacingly in the corner, smoking a cigar and watching everyone.

This results in a few things, mostly more jokes from everyone around them about them being together while they continue to dance around that. Also a few incidents where Logan is lurking in the background while Wades on mercenary jobs, and someone gets a few more hits in than Logan likes and Logan appears from the shadows and tears them to shreds. Wade opens his mouth to say something about it and Logan immediately slices his throat so he can't.

I don't have any point to this, it's just what I think would happen

So we can all agree both Wade and Logan (ESPECIALLY Logan) are both very touch starved people and Slash or are very touchy-feely affection people.

Logan taking every chance to ✨️ subtly ✨️ touch Wade, brushing his hands against him, Tapping him, yk that femininizing way of walking behind someone and resting / dragging your hand on their hips as you pass? That too. Every chance he gets he touches Wade. but he lets it seem. Accidental. Just a funny little coincidence! Oopsie!

Wade, however, balls to the wall. he has no shame in acting like an overly attached cat that can not possibly, physically, get close enough. Wade is standing directly next to Logan, shoulder to shoulder while Logan stares into the distance reminiscing about 5 minutes ago when Wade wasn't here. Except he also likes it. It makes him feel real and grounded, it reminds him he's not alone and he's loved.

Logan can not sit on the couch without Wade RIGHT. THERE.

Logan goes slowly from "Stop fucking touching me" to Your personal space??? It's OUR. personal space. As he gets more comfortable and settles in.
