eh i remember when the wb executives wanted kit for batman pre pattionson getting cast. i think it's about corporate synergy more than anything else, going to the pool of actors they've already worked with. see kit doing another hbo show after this marvel movie flopped, he got kicked off blade and they dropped the jon snow show. milly is very talent but she's wrong for the role, plus she's talked about not wanting to do big roles/franchises in interviews so this is all just seems very random imo.
absolutely brutal take down 😭😭😭😭 kits career post got makes me almost as sad as jon hamms post mad men lmao

Spitballing Space Jam 3 villain actor ideas
If WB actually brings back the Looney Tunes to theaters in spite of Zaslav pretty much against the idea and even goes through with a third Space Jam without basketball, I thought I'd spitball some ideas for actors to play the new villain, whether it's comedic or serious or both (even though many prefer Swackhammer or Al G. Rhythm returning).
Eric Andre
Angelina Jolie (a more serious villain for a Looney Tunes film)
Bobby Cannavale
Scarlett Johannsen
Steve Buscemi
Nick Kroll
John Leguizamo
Jack Black
Catherine Keener
Maya Rudolph
Kathryn Hahn
Bryan Cranston
Jason Sudeikis
Nicolas Cage
Jon Hamm
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Benedict Cumberbatch
Denis Leary
Greg Kinnear
Sam Rockwell
Zazie Beetz
Liev Schreiber
Michael Douglas
What do you think?

I love this channel... It's rare to come across content that's actually positive because criticism always gains clicks nowadays... Sucker Punch is a movie with really really great depth and it's not just some eye candy... I know I already posted one sucker punch positive clip... If you liked that one you'll love this one...

Superman Fancast:Last Son Of Krypton
With the success of The Batman, I’d love a similar treatment for Superman
my other DC fancasts
DCEU Recast
Batman
Wonder Woman
The Flash
Green Lantern
Aquaman
Green Arrow
Justice League
Teen Titans
Justice League Dark
Batman Beyond
The Dark Knight Returns
Telltale’s Batman
Injustice
Legion Of Doom
Birds Of Prey
Few things I wanna say before we continue with the fancast.
Metropolis. You know how Batman adaptations make Gotham very distinct with a broody atmosphere and Gothic architecture? We need the same energy for Metropolis. Metropolis should look bright, shining and borderline futuristic. Metropolis should have a proper 50's retro-futurism vibe. Long monorails, golden shiny buildings, rounded glass penthouses

Director. Ideally I would say Brad Bird, George Miller or Matthew Vaughn
Reason for reboot. WB still has no idea on what they want to do with Superman or if Henry will even still be attached.  Also another reason for why I want this hypothetical reboot is this video

Gymnast Batfam Head Canons Part 1
Alfred:
Doesn’t care much for trying any of it, but loves to watch Dick entertain himself by trying to learn new skills
Was once convinced by Dick to try a circle on the pommel trainer and aft he fell once he refused to do so again
Has been a certified judge for when Dick, Tim, Barbara, Stephanie, Damian, and Duke face off against one another
Has a tenancy to be very harsh on scoring
This has helped Dick become a better gymnast and strive for perfection
Bruce:
Felt obligated into buying a bunch of gymnastics/trapeze stuff for Dick after he adopted him, now currently owns one of the worlds best gymnastics gyms that is near Wayne Manor
After a while, he grew an interest in the sport and tried a few events. He only sticks with parallel bars and still rings because of strength training
Has a strong hatred for pommel horse because he once saw Dick do an amazing routine and tried to replicate it. All of his bulk stopped him from reaching the other pommel and he landed back first onto that pommel
When Dick turned 13 he hired a coach for Dick to learn better and faster
Opened the Bruce Wayne Gymnastics and Dance Academy when Dick turned 16 to allow Dick to have experience in the work field, but didn’t want the job to not be unstimulating because of Dick’s ADHD/Autism/Dyslexia diagnosis (yes he has all three, fight me) so allowed it to be a great way for him to pass on what he knows
Dick (que now, pretty long):
Spends a lot of his free time there after school when he was younger
Was actually grounded from going to the gym at one point because he was ignoring his homework
Taught himself a lot of skills
If he were to have ever competed in JO (junior olympics) he could be an elite gymnast and have went to the olympics
Has created his own skills
Learned 50% of the skills in the MAG and WAG Code of Points and could give a lot of elite gymnast a run for their money, has also decided he will not allow himself to die until he learns every skill in the Code of Points
Least favorite event is pommel horse but is still pretty decent at it
Most favorite event is high bar and vault
Sometimes can’t stand rings because his ADHD brain will be like “OMG you’ve been holding an iron cross for fucking ever” when in reality it has been 2 seconds
Idolized Paul Hamm as a kid
Really bonded with his gymnastics coach and sees him as a second father figure (Bruce and then the coach)
Invented the kovacs on rings (that move in YJ where he lets go of the rings, does a back flip then catches them again, which is impossible because the rings would never be still enough to catch them again so someone at WB DC needs to watch more gymnastics, once you let go you dismount, only option)
Keeps up with every meet in the sport
After hearing whenever someone has died or a tough day he will call in sick and go in to the gym and do certain events when he is mad in a certain way to let off steam, will also allow himself to lose his bearings whenever this happens
Mad at himself: pommel horse because it is easier to take out his frustrations on himself on the event that he already hates
Mad at a person: rings or parallel bars, helps slow his brain down and think
Mad at an enemy: high bar, whenever he swings on there when he is pissed at the world, he feels like he is back in the circus, but then he remembers how his parents died, his hatred for Tony Zucco and how he ruined his life, then everything that is awful floods back to him until he is brought back to reality when he feels the large rips he has on his hands from doing to many consecutive skills (the deeper in the trauma he goes, the more in bar skills he goes for, the more in control he feels the more flight moves he goes for, once connected 17 skills in a row before dismounting) then goes on a tangent to himself on how he is a failure and spirals further until his coach, Bruce, or Alfred catch Dick in this spiral and help reassure him that he is an amazing person and that he is not a failure
Mad at the world: floor, every time he lands a skill perfectly it helps him relax
Someone is mad/very disappointed with Dick (heads up this gets deep into my experiences with ADHD): pommel horse and vault, starts at pommel and goes down the failure spiral until he pulls himself out and goes over to vault to make himself feel better. Bonus: his favorite songs to listen to while on pommel during this spiral is Would?-Alice In Chains (So I made a big mistake, try and see it once my way), Snuff-Slipknot, Hurt- Johnny Cash, Keep The Wolves Away- Uncle Lucius, Something In The Way- Nirvana (much like Kurt Cobaine when he wrote the song, this occurs when he feels like a burden to other people), What A Catch, Donnie- Fall Out Boy, Down In A Hole- Alice In Chains (down in an hole and I don’t know if I could be saved...... I have been guilty of kicking myself in the teeth), My Immortal- Evanescence, You Never Knew My Mind- Chris Cornell (being one of the few neurodivergent people in the batfam/gym and being raped by Tarantula he often feels alone at times) Wake Me Up When September Ends- Green Day, So Far Away- Avenged Sevenfold (with his parents being dead often relates the song to their death when he is mad at himself). Entering out of the spiral we have 45- Shinedown, Patience GnR and Chriss Cornell (both songs help him think of ways he can change to make the people around him more satisfied, when he was younger he took this as hiding his neurodivergency and found himself being victim to himself as he would blame himself whenever a mistake was made even if it wasn’t his fault. As an teenager/adult he took this as a way he could still feel good about his differences while still allowing himself to function enough to make things easier for the people around him),  Fix You- Coldplay (at this point he is trying to fix himself, if that makes sense), Fell On Black Days- Soundgarden (love Chris Cornell, also a literal “black day”), C’mon- Fun. and P!ATD (rebuilding his optimism), Here Comes The Sun- The Beatles (end of the spiral, moves onto vault)
That previous note also happened when Bruce fired Dick from being Robin, spent most of the day doing giants on rings and pommel
Coach knows Dick was Robin and is now Nightwing and although he does not like the fact that he does it he understands and keeps his secret safe
When Dick was fired, his coach saw him on rings and almost damaged a wall in the gym when he walked over and talked it out with Dick, this helped Dick reach a point where he was still able to control his emotions a little bit
Isn’t political at all but will get on someones case if they call Simone Biles weak (2021 Tokyo asshats) and will go deeply into a rant about how USAG needs to change and that Larry Nassar is a fucking monster and how death is too fucking deserving of a fate for him as it would end his misery (most of this anger comes from being a survivor of sexual assault)
He’s a damn great coach and loves it
He also hasn’t stopped being an acrobat
Spends about 6 hours a day at the gym switching between being an acrobat and gymnast
Will sometimes sleep at the gym
Is very specific how he trains, has a schedule of what he does on each day and how much time he spends on each event (will not spend less than an hour on anything because he then feels unproductive on that event)
Will often end the day on the trapeze, trampoline, or tumble track to get the sense that he is flying
Once asked Bruce to remove the safety net and Bruce lost his shit (despite the fact that he allowed Dick at 12 to fight beside him in Gotham)
Has at some point tried to teach everyone at least a few skills on certain events
Does not shut up about gymnastics, or anything that he is fascinated with
Jason has once said he would rather die again then continue to hear Dick talk about how he is struggling with a certain skill
Currently decided he is going to train for the olympics
Quit his job at the gym when he moved to Bludhaven but still visits his old coach
Still trains at the gym though
Barbara
Did gymnastics until she was 11
Was a level 5 gymnast
Did aerial gymnastics for a year when she was 14
Did dance most of her life at the Bruce Wayne Gymnastics and Dance Academy
First met Dick at the gym
Normal was boring so she became Batgirl
Dick and Barbara still have gymnastics dates when the gym closes sometimes
They would mainly try to teach each other skills. Barbara would try to teach Dick dance skills and Dick would try to teach her gymnastics skills
Once Dick taught her how to swing in the trapeze
They would also eat in the gym, watch movies in the gym, just in general have fun
Sex is off limits between both of them in the gym because they both agreed it would be too weird to have sex in a building that a bunch of little kids run around in so it was the first thing brought up, almost broke that rule once trying to make out on the trampoline just because Dick was curious what it would feel like to make out on there, Barbara accidentally kneed Dick in the stomach and both of them butted heads and bit their lips, they then agreed to never do that again
Loves floor but has to set limitations on herself after she was paralyzed, and after surgery she isn’t too willing to test the extent of how much her back can take
Often heads to trampoline as a substitute but still has to be very careful
Loves dance almost as much as Dick loves gymnastics but does a better job separating dance from everything else
Coach also knows Barbara is Batgirl only because Dick didn’t keep his mouth shut after the Coach found out
Jason
Dick tried to teach him right away
Loved it at first because he looked up to Dick then slowly started to hate it
Does not like pommel horse
Will jump on tumble track and try twisting layouts
Slowly became more interested in rings
Got pretty damn good at it
Is the only event that Jason will train provided that Dick doesn’t correct him, even after hurting himself doing a muscle up because his form was off
Tim
Started gymnastics because he once saw Robin do a triple back layout from a street light
One time when he was in level 4, he got to the gym early and saw Dick work on a triple layout dismount on high bar which made him make the connection that Dick is Robin
When he became Robin he was a level 7 gymnast
Looks up to Dick for guidance in the sport
Loves parallel bars
Has gotten away on multiple occasions staying late at the gym with Dick just to train even after Dick left for Bludhaven
Has the same coach that Dick had
Took that coach a bit but realized that Tim is the new Robin
Struggles in the sport a little bit but works hard to be the best he could be
When he gets in the zone on a certain event he learns much faster
Got a kasamatsu vault much faster than Dick which makes Dick jealous
Often brings that up
Became an elite gymnast went to the winter cup and nationals on multiple occasions before graduating
Had received offers from a few NCAA college gymnastic teams but turned down the offer and took a break from the sport
After taking two years off from gymnastics he now competes for the UIC Men’s Gym Act team
While he’s not as great of a gymnast as Dick, he can go toe to toe against Dick on pommel horse and parallel bars
Can do more russians than Dick on pommel horse before falling off
Has beat Dick twice in a one on one competition not including created skills with Alfred being a judge

How to Watch Mad Men and More Great Shows for Free Right Now
Another day, another brand new streaming platform out there begging you to subscribe to its service so you can ignore your family members and binge-watch a bunch of TV shows and movies in the name of entertainment. This time, it's NBCUniversal's Peacock, which offers a free tier as well as  two premium options (one with ads and one without). The service  features a number of programs for free, including Friday Night Lights and even Parks and Recreation, but Peacock isn't the only place you can stream great shows without breaking the bank.
Below, we've gathered up a number of shows that don't require you to shell out money for Netflix,  Hulu,  Amazon Prime,  Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max, Peacock, and/or  whatever other streaming service subscriptions are out there. Sometimes you just need a simple freebie. And you know what? You deserve it. So check out the list below and take comfort in knowing it won't cost you a thing.
Watch it on: IMDb TV
Until recently you had to have a Netflix subscription to watch Mad Men, AMC's Emmy-award winning period drama from Matthew Weiner that was dedicated as much to style as it was to substance. The 1960s-set series, which traced the rise and fall of flawed Madison Avenue advertising executive Don Draper (Jon Hamm) through his own complicated relationship with identity, was a pointed commentary on the toxic masculinity, sexism, and racism of the era. It also changed the way we watch and talk about TV. If you haven't seen it yet, now's the perfect time to do so.
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Watch it on: Tubi (complete series), Pluto TV (complete series)
Realizing  The Dick Van Dyke Show is streaming for free feels a bit like winning a secret lottery or viewing an exceptional piece of art without paying the museum admission fee. The popular comedy, which ran for five seasons, was created by Carl Reiner and starred Dick Van Dyke as the head writer of a TV show, while  Mary Tyler Moore portrayed his wife. It's a timeless classic — one that took home 15 Emmys during its run, and if you've yet to experience it, you literally have no excuse at this point.

Watch it on: ABC app (complete series)
Felicity is best known as the show in which Keri Russell cut her hair (not to be confused with the show in which Keri Russell wore a lot of great wigs, aka The Americans). Depicting Felicity Porter's (Russell) college years and the struggles that accompany trying to figure out who you're supposed to be, the show is also famous for Scott Speedman's whisper-talking and the ongoing battle of Ben (Speedman) vs. Noel (Scott Foley). Although the WB series was previously streaming on Hulu, you can now watch it for free on the ABC app.
A reimagining of the kitschy original series, Syfy's Battlestar Galacticastarred Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan, James Callis, and Jamie Bamber and explored the aftermath of a nuclear attack by the Cylons, cybernetic creatures invented by man who evolved and rebelled against their creators. The show was critically acclaimed for the way it tackled the subjects of science, religion, and politics, and for the way it explored the deeply complicated notion of what makes us human. Everything from the miniseries to the two BSG films (Razor and The Plan) is currently available to stream for free on Syfy's website, so there's no better time to watch it. So say we all!
Watch it on: IMDb TV (complete series), Tubi (complete series), Pluto TV (first 13 seasons), YouTube (first 13 seasons)
For many millennials, the fourth series in the Degrassi franchise, Degrassi: The Next Generation, is the defining iteration of the long-running Canadian series. The drama series, which was sometimes so overly dramatic it was actually funny, tackled everything from date rape and suicide to sexual orientation and teen pregnancy. The series, which launched the careers of Drake (then known as Aubrey Graham) and Nina Dobrev, is streaming on multiple free platforms.
Watch it on: ABC app (complete series)
Eli Stone really had it all, which is to say it had Victor Garber singing George Michael songs, Loretta Devine singing George Michael songs, and George Michael singing George Michael songs. What else is there? ABC's offbeat two-season comedy-drama starred a pre-Elementary Jonny Lee Miller as Eli Stone, a high-powered San Francisco lawyer whose brain aneurysm gave him prophetic visions — which usually involved his friends, family, and colleagues breaking into song. Aside from a couple of ill-advised plotlines (the pilot, which suggests vaccines cause autism, is best forgotten), the show was a blast: a weird but memorable cocktail that should have stuck around for more seasons because, as I mentioned, Victor Garber sang George Michael songs. Also, Sigourney Weaver played God?! -Kelly Connolly
Watch it on: YouTube (nearly every episode)
A true Canadian treasure,  The Red Green Show was a long-running comedy starring Steve Smith as Red Green, a handyman who constantly tried to cut corners using duct tape and who had his own cable TV show. It was a parody of home improvement shows and outdoor programs and featured segments like Handyman Corner, Adventures with Bill, and The Possum Lodge Word Game. The show ran for 15 seasons, airing on PBS in the States.
TV Premiere Date Calendar: Find Out When Your Favorite Shows Are Back
Watch it on: IMDb TV (complete series), ABC app (complete series)
Critically beloved but struck down before its time,  My So-Called Life has been praised for its realistic and honest portrayal of teenage life, not just via Angela Chase (Claire Danes), but through the show's young supporting cast as well. Now considered to be one of the best shows of all time, it tackled topics like homophobia, homelessness, drug use, and more without ever feeling preachy or like an after-school special. Also, Jordan Catalano (Jared Leto) could lean.
Watch it on: CW Seed (first five seasons), IMDb TV (first five seasons)
If you don't have Netflix but still want to watch  Schitt's Creek, you'll be happy to know you can watch the first five seasons of the heartwarming, Emmy-nominated comedy series, about a wealthy family who loses everything they own except the town of the show's title, for free on CW Seed and IMDb TV.

Watch it on: Peacock (complete series); IMDb TV (complete series)
You may never know what it feels like to have Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) be proud of you, but you can pretend by watching all five seasons of  Friday Night Lights, a series that was as much about a Texas community as it was about the sport that united it. By the end of the show, you'll be asking yourself "What Would Riggins Do?" and tattooing "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose" on your body, all while chanting "Texas forever!" Trust me, it happens to everybody.
Watch it on: CW Seed (complete series)
It is relatively easy to forget that The CW series The Carrie Diaries was a prequel to  Sex and the City, because the charming show, which lasted just two seasons, was able to stand on its own. The coming-of-age series that followed a teenaged Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) was relatively innocent compared to the original series. The show's 1980s setting made it easier for the writers to focus on more harmless family storylines and teenage heartbreaks, but the show never shied away from the heartstring-tugging drama of young adulthood either. It's a shame the show never got the kind of ratings it deserved and wasn't able to exist beyond Carrie's high school years, but the Season 2 finale works well as a series finale, so viewers won't feel as if the story was left incomplete. android tv box
Watch it on: CW Seed (complete series)
It's a shame Bryan Fuller's saturated dramedy  Pushing Daisies, about a pie-maker (Lee Pace) with the ability to bring the dead back to life, couldn't bring itself back to life after becoming a casualty of the 2007-08 writers' strike. A whimsical delight, the show featured the pie-maker teaming up with a local private eye (Chi McBride) to solve murders by reviving the victims for a brief time. Known for its quirky characters, eccentric visual style, and Jim Dale's pitch-perfect narration, it remains must-see TV.
Watch it on: IMDb TV (first seven seasons); Peacock
Columbo kicked off nearly every episode by revealing the crime and its perpetrator to the audience, which means unlike most crime dramas, the show was less about whodunnit and more about Peter Falk's iconic raincoat-wearing homicide detective catching them and getting them to confess. Oh, and just one more thing: it's great.
Watch it on: CW Seed (complete series)
The charming and playful Forever, which starred Ioan Gruffudd as an immortal medical examiner, was the one show that could have saved ABC's Tuesday at 10 p.m. death slot. But the network still canceled the series anyway, enraging the show's fans, who have never let the sting of its death go. Luckily, it now lives on, ahem, forever (aka until the content license expires) on CW Seed.
Watch it on: IMDb TV (complete series)
It sounds odd to say The Middle, which ran for nine seasons on ABC, was unfairly overlooked, but it always felt like the series, which followed the middle class Midwestern Heck family, was a bit of a hidden gem. It wasn't as popular with Emmy voters as, say, Modern Family, and critics also failed to give it its due, but it was a real, heartfelt, reliable family comedy with mass appeal, and you can stream it on IMDb TV for free. h96 tv box
Watch it on: ABC app (complete series)
Trophy Wife's short life — it was canceled after just one season — can probably be chalked up to its unfortunate title, which was meant to be ironic but ultimately kept viewers from tuning in and experiencing the warmth of the show and the relationships at its center. Malin Akerman starred as the young wife of  Bradley Whitford's middle-aged lawyer, and the comedy explored the dynamics between the two, his children, and his two ex-wives, who were played by  Marcia Gay Harden and  Michaela Watkins. h96 max x3
Watch it on: NBC app (complete series)
Loosely based on the Biblical story of King David, Kings was a compelling drama before its time. Rudely cut down after just one season by NBC, the show starred Ian McShane as the king of the fictional kingdom of Gilboa, while  Christopher Egan portrayed an idealistic young soldier whose counterpart is David. The show also starred Sebastian Stan, which is reason enough to want to check it out.
Watch it on: ABC app (complete series)
Ray Wise portrays Satan in Reaper, a supernatural dramedy about a slacker (Bret Harrison) who reluctantly becomes a reaper tasked with capturing escaped souls from hell after it's revealed his parents made a deal with the devil many, many years before. The fact the show only lasted two seasons is a crime against humanity. Luckily, you can watch it in its entirety for free on the ABC app. h96 max x3
Watch it on: IMDb TV (complete series)
A team of experts led by a kooky old scientist (John Noble), his son (Joshua Jackson), and an FBI agent (Anna Torv) investigate strange occurrences around the country, X-Files style, in the J.J. Abrams-produced Fringe. The series is one of the best broadcast science-fiction shows of all time, particularly in its first three seasons, and perfected the art of the serialized procedural by weaving the show's deep mythology and excellent character work into weekly standalone stories, making it easy to binge or watch in spurts. And by the time the end of Season 1 starts, you'll have a hard time stopping. -Tim Surette
Watch it on: Tubi (complete series), Vudu (complete series)
Although American TV producers would eventually adapt  Being Human, the original British version, which followed three supernatural beings trying to live amongst humans, is far superior. The show, which ran for five seasons, starred Aidan Turner, Russell Tovey, and  Lenora Crichlow as a vampire, werewolf, and ghost, respectively. So skip the U.S. version entirely and watch the U.K. series for free.
Watch it on: Pluto TV (complete series),  Vudu (complete series), Tubi (complete series)
The Australian young adult-oriented series Dance Academy is not exactly what you'd call "great television," but it is great fun. Brimming with teen angst and melodrama, the series, which ran for three seasons and even had a follow-up movie, followed a handful of dancers at Sydney's National Academy of Dance as they trained in the sport they loved while also falling in and out of love with each other. The acting was sometimes questionable, but the series itself was addictive, not to mention one of the easiest binges you'll ever encounter. h96 max tv box
3rd Rock From the Sun
Watch it on: Tubi (complete series), Pluto TV (complete series), Crackle (all six seasons),  Vudu (all six seasons)
You might think a show about a group of socially awkward, 1,000-year-old aliens in human skin suits who are trying (badly) to pose as a human family and blend into an ordinary Midwest town might sound ridiculous, and, well, that's fair. But  3rd Rock From the Sun was still charming in even its most bizarre moments and gave its cast a lot of room to play up their roles and create an ensemble of weirdos that, at some point or another, start to tap into their newfound humanity and relish their new home here on Earth. -Amanda Bell.

i'm so sad about this "end of batfleck" news that's going around, so much so that the more i see the headlines about it, the more i want to cry, BUT i have seen people commenting in response to the jon hamm rumors that karl urban should take on the role, and oh boy, does that get me excited! i doubt WB would take that choice into consideration, but they did launch a new service specifically for fan input (which i was quick to sign up for, by the way - it's free, and you just have to take an entry survey to officially sign up), so maybe they can consider him for the role. i lowkey love karl a lot, so i'm all for him in that role. before this batfleck leaving stuff, i even saw a fanmade trailer for a batman tv series that featured him as bruce.
oh, and if this dream casting were to ever come true, then you can find me sailing away on the s.s. wonderbatrev.

DCEU recast/fancast
Like my MCU recast/fancast and for fun, if I could recast anyone, I would choose this.
Few things first.
This will just be recasting the current DCEU, for a more in depth recast, see my old one
Barry Allen will not be the Flash in this, it will be Wally West
Recasting Steve Trevor so Chris Pine can be Hal Jordan
Jason, Ray and Joe are the only ones returning in my recast
I love Henry as Clark, but WB cannot make up their fucking minds if he’s staying or going and we need ONE definitive Batman and we do not need a Anti-Palestinian as Wonder Woman
My version of Birds Of Prey is about Barbara, Dinah and Helena coming together to stop Lady Shiva and Cain and it ends with Cassandra saving Barbara from Cain and Barbara begins to train Cassandra as the next Batgirl and Barbara taking the mantle of Oracle(Black Mask will make an appearance to hire Cain to assassinate someone, but that’s it. Worldbuilding to show who runs the Gotham Underworld)

#wait so, was sucker punch like, good?
@princessnijireiki said:
@ultralaser the director’s cut of sucker punch was good. WB wanted a major scene near the end of the movie to be re-filmed as a rape (on the basis that rape is pg13 and a consensual clothed makeout scene was a hard r, somehow— in a movie v. much about like pathologizing women & sexual abuse/abuse of power, in a scene where this main character actually has some agency), and snyder, jon hamm & emily browning all refused, so WB released a really shittily edited version for theaters in retaliation.
JESUS CHRIST
princessnijireiki said: @ultralaser it can be very triggering if like rape is an issue for you (not onscreen!!!!!! thankfully; but VERY obviously implied), and I know it took me several tries to get through the first five minutes of the movie, which are super intense; but in terms of mini skirts & high kicks that aren’t shot in porno vision, but are still clearly A Choice, ww made me think of sucker punch IMMEDIATELY.
can we headcanon sucker punch as snyder's dceu blackhawks prequel
princessnijireiki said: @ultralaser first 5min of the theatrical cut (very similar but not exactly the same as the director’s cut) were turned into a music video for emily browning’s cover of “sweet dreams” for the sucker punch soundtrack. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=nSG-6xc-T4U

The 10 Best Films of 2017 so far, and the 10 Films to look forward to in the second half of the year
Well it is now July 6th, and we are now a little past the half way mark of 2017, so I will delve into what are the 10 Best Films of 2017 so far starting with number 10.
10. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: What is it with Marvel and their villains and climaxes of their films?  Sure there are exceptions like Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron and Civil War, but in general Marvel has a real villain problem as well as finishing off their films in a fully satisfying way.  That being said Guardians of the Galaxy is perhaps the most light hearted and funnest of the Marvel films thanks to director James Gunn, the score, and the chemistry/acting of the cast.
3.75/5 Stars
youtube
9. The Wall: The Wall is a short, but a pretty gritty and intense Iraq war film directed by Doug Liman.
4/5 Stars
youtube
8. Ghost in the Shell:  I will always give credit to the likes of Akira and Ghost in the Shell for helping to make Anime popular in America making it easier to for Anime series and films to be release here, but I as never that impressed with Ghost In the Shell outside of its stunning animation.
I have never liked the original Ghost in the Shell as much as the other anime films that I was introduced to in the 80’s through the mid 90’s with the likes of Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, Patlabor The Movie and Robot Carnival among others, so I had no I high expectations with the remake except to get a good film that would hopefully do well box office wise, so studios will take more chances on live action anime films like in pre-production Robotech and the always talked about Cowboy Bebop film.
I think those reasons might have helped me enjoy Rupert Sanders Ghost in the Shell, and I really liked the film. I haven’t seen the original in probably over a decade, but from what I remember the film stays pretty close to the original with the biggest change coming to the Major’s backstory, which I loved.
I won’t get into what I believe are very overblown and unwarranted criticisms of whitewashing when it comes to Scarlett Johansson’s casting, and instead say Johansson was wonderful as The Major who effortlessly brings The Major to life.
The action and visuals/effects were really good. My criticism of the film is the lack of real character development outside The Major and maybe Batou. There were certain Section 9 characters I would have like to seen more of. Another criticism is that although I liked the story, themes and ideas in the film, the film doesn’t dive too deep, and instead spent more time on the visuals and action. I contribute both criticisms to the films short run time at only about an 1 hour and 45 minutes that includes both the opening and ending credits. I wish Sanders and the writers could have spend another ten minutes on the story and supporting characters, but that isn’t a huge criticism for me as it didn’t stop me from really enjoying Ghost in the Shell as much if not more than I did the original film.
I really hoped Ghost in the Shell would do well at the box office, and we could get more films, because Johansson deserves her own franchise. Scarlett certainly has proven to me with her role Black Widow along with starring in Lucy and now with Ghost in the Shell that she can solo lead a action film/franchise.  Unfortunately that most likely is not going to happen.  Ghost in the Shell broke even and made some money, but I doubt Paramount is going to green light a sequel.
4.25/5 Stars
youtube
7. The Exception: A great World War II drama/thriller film about the exiled German Emperor Wilhelm II played magnificently by Christopher Plummer and co-starring Jai Courtney, and Lily James.
4.5/5 Stars
6. The Red Turtle: All your should need to know about The Red Turtle to see the film is to watch the above trailer and know that it was made by Studio Ghibli the same company that made Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, and Kiki’s Delivery Service.  The Red Turtle is my third favorite Studio Ghibli film behind Grave of the Fireflies and Princess Mononoke.
4.5/5 Stars
5. John Wick Chapter 2: John Wick is the best action franchise since the first three Bourne films (I try to forget about two mediocre and bad sequels), and Keanu Reeves has found the role he was perfect for and meant for.
4.75/5
4. Logan: Logan might be classified as in the superhero genre, but to be Logan is a modern western with a small dose of sci-fi/fantasy elements.  Perhaps that is one of the reason Logan separates itsself from the rest of the X-Men films and the Marvel films along with its story, themes and tone help to make like Deadpool a breath of fresh air in the superhero genre.  Then there are Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart.  Logan is Jackman’s last film playing Logan whom he’s played since 2000’s X-Men, and Logan is most likely Patrick Stewart’s last film playing Charles Xavior who he’s also played since the first X-Men film.  Both actors give their best performances as Logan and Xavior as perhaps the last two X-Men alive in a world where mutants are all but extinct and being hunted down.  Logan truly is one of the best superhero/comic book films to go along with the likes of Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The Dark Knight, and Wonder Woman.
4.75/5
youtube
3. Wonder Woman: Personally I don’t understand all the criticism of Man of Steel and Batman Vs. Superman, but whether you agree with the criticism of the first two films of the DC Extended Universe and the really bad Suicide Squad the DC Extended Universe needed a win more critic wise than box office wise, and WB/DC got both with the excellent Wonder Woman.
4.75/5 Stars
2. Baby Driver: Baby Driver is a masterpiece of film making and a prime example as film as art.  I have never been as much as a fan of Edgar Wright as critics and my friends have, but what Wright has film with Baby Driver is magnificent.  Baby Driver is a high octane action, drama, musical that combines the cult classic Streets of Fire with the classic Heat.  The level of detail Wright, cinematographer, and stunt coordinators went through to match every song to each scene perfectly is astonishing and wonderful experience in the theater.  The acting by Jamie Fox, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, Jon Hamm, Eiza González, and even the relative new comer Ansel Elgort whom I had never seen before did an excellent job in the film.  Baby Driver is a film to be seen over and over again to fully appreciate the how great film Baby Driver is.
5/5 Stars
youtube
1.The Lost City of Z: It was hard for me to chose between Baby Driver and The Lost City of Z, but if there is one film that is better than Baby Driver than it is the Lost City of Z.  I am a sucker for historical films and especially ones about topics I know nothing or very little about.  Before seeing the trailer for The Lost City of Z I had never heard of Percy Fawcett (Played exceptionally well by Charlie Hunnam) the famous explorer and his disappearance in the Amazon.  The film is based on the non-fiction book of the same name and by David Grann which goes into Fawcett’s life and his disappearance as well as investigating the so called Lost city of Z.  The book is really good, and while Grann’s novel has garnered high praise, Grann has faced some criticism in his view of Fawcett and his exploits as an explorer.
Let us move onto the film itself directed by James Gray.  Gray’s The Lost City of Z has an old school Hollywood of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s with the detailed story telling, themes, score, and cinematography.  As I said above Charlie Hunnam was fantastic as Fawcett bringing to life Fawcett’s love for adventure and his blinding obsession in finding his city of Zed.  Charlie Huunam is supported by Robert Pattinsion who in recent years has finally come into his own since leaving the bad Twilight franchise high praised performances in Cosmopolis and The Rover, and continues here in The Lost City of Z as Henry Costin, Fawcett’s right hand man and good friend.  Like Baby Driver the Lost Citye of Z is a film that should not be missed and seen more than once.
Films I have not seen yet, but want to: Beauty and the Beast, The Lego Batman Movie, Get Out, Life, Colossal, Alien: Covenant, and Megan Leavey.
The 10 Most Anticipated Films for the Second Half of 2017
1. Blade Runner 2049 2. Dunkirk 3. Star Wars: The Last Jedi 4. Wind River 5. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets 6. The Snowman  7. Justice League  8. Goodbye Christopher Robin 9. American Assassin 10. Greatest Showman

Jon Hamm To Replace Ben Affleck As Batman?!?
Mad Men’s Jon Hamm looks like he might be next in line to become the Batman. “Jon’s gunning hard for the role,” a source exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com. Hamm and Affleck are actually good friends in real life and even starred in a film together, The Town. “They enjoyed working together and have been on good terms ever since,” the source said. “But Jon knows Ben has faced some criticism…
