A few notes on Pat and Chot's conversation:
🔹Ke (เกย์) is a neutral expression that is the phonetic adaptation of the English word gay.
🔹Tut (ตุ๊ด) is a vulgar and pejorative expression used to refer to a very effeminate homosexual man and can have multiple translations, as sissy, queen, [or in this case: tootsie] etc.
🔹Je (เจ๊) is a Thai honorific from 姐 for “elder sister”. Chot uses it to refer to himself. Pat later uses it to address Chot.
🔹krap/kha (ครับ / ค่ะ) are gender-oriented particles. Chot uses the traditionally female particle for himself.

me, trying to explain to Mahito why the scene in Emma (2020) when Mr. Knightley asks Harriet to dance is heartwarming and heartwrenching and makes me tear up and twist my metaphorical old timey handkerchiefs: okay so you see Mr. Elton just publicly snubbed Harriet, right? he first asked Mrs. Weston to dance but when she says no she's like hey here is this lovely lady who needs to dance and Mr. Elton then pretends he can't dance because he's old and married EVEN THOUGH he just asked Mrs. Weston to dance so he's obviously snubbing Harriet specifically and she's just been publicly humiliated at this event which is comprised of people in a higher station than she is and she's already in such a precarious social position and--
mahito: why doesn't Harriet just kill Mr. Elton
me: BECAUSE

snow white looks bad this, moana 2 that. the real question is who in the world wanted a live action mufasa or lilo and stitch movie
#i’m going to bed but i’m going to complain on the internet first and immediately regret it. But like#the mufasa thing just makes me mad. no one asked and it makes no sense to do this.#but STITCH???#one of the Staples of childhood and one of the best animated d*sney movies imo#nothing will top those opening scenes for me. the music! the colors! then the storyyy#but the thing that makes me angry about this one is that live action stitch IS really cute. so diss knee can be like Hell yeah we’re -#raking in our coin with merchandise like we always do!!!! Who cares if our movies are good look at this creature!! You love him and more -#importantly your kids will recognize him on shelves heehee aren’t we so cool!!!!#the state of art and entertainment and capitalizing on recognizable IP is depressing me this fine evening#i think we should do more of what the fall guy did. that was so frickin good. an adaptation of a classic show but a fresh take -#AND jody was adapting a low budget sci fi movie from the 80s to match her wild and silly and spectacular vision#like THAT’S entertainment to me!! we can recognize stories that made us and have all these influences and still make something -#with depth and nuance that isn’t a slap in the face to viewers and that succeeds anyway because of course it will#Anyway ! no one cares to read this probably but i actually am happy that i ended up circling back to the fall guy. i wasn’t planning to LMA#let’s go fall guy my beloved the fall guy#jess.txt#i’m stressed and tired okay let me have this

How the Kendom's Patriarchy Reflected the Patriarchy Within Ken
I know the title sounds stupid bear with me
I noticed the film made a point to show how much shittier the Kendom was to the Barbies than Barbieland was to the Kens. in the world we live in, women are conditioned to be considerate of others, sometimes at our own expense, while men are conditioned to conquer and pursue their goals without considering who that effects. This is what caused patriarchal ideals of women being something for men to "pursue" rather than people. We talk about this when discussing the male vs female gaze, how the male gaze objectifies while the female gaze aims to humanize. The Barbies simply ignored the Kens, the Kens could've made their own society if they chose too, while the Kens brainwashed and subjugated the Barbies. While the movie makes a point to say neither gender group having power over another is good and the gender field should be equal, patriarchal teachings have resulted in way more harmful consequences for women than anything to come out of the femcel/radfem sphere considering patriarchy is the current reality we live in.
Usually this would be enough to make its own point, but Greta didn't include this just to make more commentary on how the patriarchy effects women, but to specifically show what it does to the men within it. Ken's final arc revolved heavily around the idea of men "getting the girl" and feeling useless after Barbie rejected him, because that's a huge part of patriarchy. Patriarchy tells men that women are objects to be won, and that once they win a woman they are true men who have achieved their life goal. Many men base their entirely personality around being attracted to women, and it shows in how they talk, their jokes, how much they sexualize, etc. And when these same men fail to "get a girl" (because we are, in fact, people with our own wants and desires) they feel useless. That anger often leads them to the incel pipeline of thinking they are owed women's time, attention, and bodies, but above all it leads to them feeling hopeless and failed by false promises. The Kendom was fueled by that rhetoric, with Ken breaking down when he realized he couldn't make Barbie love him because that's all he's ever wanted. He was taught that was his life purpose, and he didn't know what to do when he realized Barbie is a woman who exists outside of him, and that he can't seem to do the same.
By doing this, Greta shows the nuance that comes with systemic oppression. Ken's arc is something that holds men accountable and doesn't make them seem like some untouchable and unavoidable boogeyman, but as people who make deliberate choices that negatively effect women. Similarly, because they are people, and because systemic oppression is never good for anyone, the movie shows how the Kens were also brainwashed by this system, and how its hurting them as well. The Kens, and really men, are pumped full of the same lies as women, and the movie calls for them to work on themselves to unlearn these teaching so that they can be better people to those they hurt, and be people to themselves. Not a conqueror, not a mate, but humans who don't need to obsess over their sexuality and ability to get female partners to be worth something. Men's worth doesn't rely on their interactions with women, just like women's value doesn't rely on their interactions with men. The two groups exist and need to start co-existing, because the gender divide has made all of us treat each other as another species rather than a person like anyone we'd find in our families, friend groups, etc. Gender should not be a roadblock, nor a source of fuel for how you interact with people; it should just be, in the same way hair color and height are. This message is not something that will resonate with all, but its important, and Barbie very effectively made it for all those who needed to hear.

before i watched barbie i saw people say stuff like if i was someone who didn't know anything about feminism gloria's monologue would've been great but alas i do know things about feminism so i was unimpressed and i thought the same thing because. i do know about feminism but seeing gifs of it recently because a good quality file has hit the internet and gifmakers reminded me of america ferrera saying that meryl streep had said she would've loved to deliver that monologue and i'm like. i hope one of you is lying. you can't be serious.
#so i wasn't disappointed by the level of feminism in barbie because i knew what to expect#and it's like...there's women and girls who don't know feminism 101 so good for them and i do think the movie as a whole is a great take on#puberty and becoming a teenager and for girls that age like i did see myself in it but it's weird to see people talk about it like it's a#feminist masterpiece is every movie about women a feminist masterpiece? yes art is political and conservatives hate the movie so it's doing#SOMETHING and at least it wasn't choice feminism-y like people predicted it would be but it's also because the feminism in it isn't nuanced#enough not to be lmao which is fine for what happens in it it's dolls discovering feminism but the way people talk about it is like. we are#not dolls why are you gagged by the 2013 feminism monologue. but yes whatever#the monologue was literally the worst part of the movie😭#well i didn't love everything about the kens but like a singular moment i disliked the most like i was rolling my eyes so hard...because it#was cringe like even if i can see why it's in there couldn't they have made it better. i dont know how but yeah.#anyway#i also hate some of the critiques but i also hate how the general response is it's not that serious lmao#i don't know if greta thought she was making a feminist masterpiece but just because there's comedy in the movie doesn't mean you're not#supposed to take it seriously like it's pretty obvious that you are supposed to take it seriously#and like i say: brf slt

just watched notting hill which is supposed to be like an epitome of a good romcom and... Well. Let's just say i highly disagree
#jab we met (2006) really fcked up my expectations of what a good romcom should be#also stuff like nothing serious (2021). it's not enough with the pretty cinematography the colorful#(pun intendes cause they're all white) cast of side characters and the chemistey between the lead actors#i need their background their baggage their context how they actually connect as human beings and change each other#otherwise you're just preaching a stupid idea of what love should be and making up a story where the main couple#go back and forth because PLOT but it's actually because there's practically nothing going on between them in terms of actual trust#you're selling infatuation as love and they're not the same#so in notting hill we know anna has all these troubles. we know she has been in an abusive relationship one after the other. we know she#has a bf by the time she meets the guy. we know that but we never EXPLORE that. we see she's deeply hurt that her intimate#photos were leaked and that her relationship with the guy (her only solace) was revealed to the press but we never really DEAL with the#consequences of that. we're TOLD the guy is a hopeless romantic and an pverall decent fellow. they let drop he dated bella at some point#and worst of all we know he got divorced recently. but we never see his ex wife we know nothing about her he doesn't seem to think#about her at all which is odd at best for someone who claims to both be very devoted to the one he's in love and also claims he's#only been in love twice (bella & his exwife) before anna. we don't see their baggage just hear it. we don't see them talk it out or work#through it and when anna reacts roughly surely because of stress and trauma the narrative ends up putting her in the wrong (though to be#fair he isn't protrayed as being in the right exactly). the film is supposedly all about illusion vs reality and anna's deakre to be seen#for what she is (just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her thing) but actually the movie is about infatuation. a deep#one sure buy not about love. it's about solace but not nuance. it's fairy tale but fairy tales don't work in real life. we're supposed to#strive for the fairy tale which is literally completely impossible to achieve#effective romance movies and romcoms have that fantasy element for sure but they stay grounded. if not in plot surely in human connection#laura watches stuff

Actually no I'm still mad about that. I didn't think people who believe horror is some cesspool of degenerates were actually still a thing. Like you Know you sound like bitches who think listening to rock music makes you a Satanist right. Like motherfuckers who only look to the slasher genre- scratch that only look at the bare bones blurb of the slasher genre, because it is a subgenre with real fucking merit and it should be treated as such- make my blood boil have you ever experienced nuance in your life.
Have you ever considered fear as a vessel of a director's love is a potent thing. Not to be pretentious but art is supposed to make you feel something and that's what horror is all about. Have you ever watched a movie that's made you uncomfortable but left you with something to Learn. Like this shit is what the world is afraid of you can see it in the major subgenres in ever fucking decade!! It's one thing not to like horror on a personal level but holy shit it is the most uninspired, empty take to insinuate that horror isn't important.

summary : charles and y/n have always been best friends. but y/n has been in love with him forever. when charles starts dating a new girl, out of respect y/n distances herself. but how much is too much?
✦ pairing - charles leclerc x female reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charles sat on his couch, scrolling through his phone, his heart feeling unusually heavy. Camille was sitting next to him, engrossed in her own world. He had tried to ignore the gnawing feeling that something was missing, but it was becoming impossible to ignore.
"Hey, Camille," he said, trying to keep his voice light. "Do you want to watch that new movie tonight? The one with all the great reviews?"
Camille looked up, her expression indifferent. "Sure, I guess. But I was thinking we could go to that new club instead. It's supposed to be really exclusive."
Charles forced a smile. "Yeah, we can do that."
As Camille continued talking about the club, Charles' mind wandered to Y/N. He missed how effortlessly they used to hang out, how they didn't need to impress each other or go to fancy places to have a good time.
A memory flashed in his mind: he and Y/N, curled up on the couch, watching an old black-and-white movie. She had insisted on watching it because it was a classic, and he had reluctantly agreed. But by the end, he was hooked, and they had spent hours discussing the film’s nuances.
"Y/N, how do you always find these hidden gems?" he had asked, genuinely impressed.
She had laughed, her eyes sparkling. "It’s all about the story, Charlie. You just have to give it a chance."
He glanced at Camille, who was now talking about which outfit she should wear to the club. He tried to engage, but his heart wasn’t in it. He missed Y/N's spontaneous adventures, the way she always made the simplest moments feel extraordinary.
Another memory surfaced: their late-night drives with the windows down, singing along to their favorite songs at the top of their lungs. They never needed a destination; the journey itself was the adventure.
"Remember that time we got lost and ended up at that little diner?" he had said to Y/N, laughing.
Y/N had grinned. "Best pancakes ever. Totally worth it."
Charles sighed, feeling a pang of longing. He looked at Camille, who was now busy on her phone, and he felt a sharp contrast. He tried to shake off the feeling, but it lingered, growing stronger with each passing day.
Later that evening, as they were getting ready to go out, Charles' phone buzzed. He glanced at it, hoping it was Y/N, but it was just a notification. He realized he hadn’t heard from her in days. The absence was like a void, growing wider and more painful.
"Camille, have you noticed that Y/N hasn’t been around much?" he asked, trying to sound casual.
Camille shrugged, not looking up from her mirror. "Maybe she’s just busy. People get busy, Charles."
"Yeah, I guess," he replied, but his heart wasn’t convinced.
He remembered the countless times Y/N had dropped everything to be there for him, whether it was to celebrate a victory or console him after a loss. Her presence had been a constant in his life, a source of comfort and understanding that he now realized he had taken for granted.
"Do you want to invite her tonight?" Camille asked, her tone slightly annoyed.
Charles shook his head. "No, it’s okay."
As they arrived at the club, the noise and the crowd felt overwhelming. Charles found himself wishing he was anywhere else, preferably in a quiet corner with Y/N, sharing a deep conversation or a comfortable silence.
He excused himself and stepped outside, needing some fresh air. The night was cool, and he leaned against the wall, pulling out his phone again. He stared at Y/N’s contact, his thumb hovering over the call button.
Another memory hit him: the time Y/N had sensed he was feeling down and showed up at his door with his favorite ice cream and a goofy movie to cheer him up.
"You know me too well," he had said, his heart warming at her thoughtfulness.
"That’s what best friends are for," she had replied with a wink.
Charles sighed, feeling a deep ache in his chest. He missed her so much it hurt. He realized that Camille didn’t understand him the way Y/N did, and he felt a growing sense of frustration and loneliness.
When he returned to Camille, she was dancing with a group of friends. She waved him over, but he hesitated. The distance between them felt insurmountable, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something fundamental was missing.
That night, as he lay in bed, his thoughts were consumed by Y/N. He knew he had to do something, but he didn’t know what. All he knew was that he couldn’t keep pretending everything was fine when his heart was screaming for the one person who had always been there for him.
And with that, he made a decision. He would talk to Y/N, find out what was going on, and try to fix whatever had gone wrong. Because losing her completely was something he couldn’t bear to face.

Another thing I adore about OFMD is how the discussion of masculinity is so nuanced. It's like - the best way I can think to describe the depiction of gender in OFMD is it's like the opposite of the recent Barbie movie, if that makes sense? I thought Barbie was fine but its understanding of gender was very basic to the point of being almost reductive, and the whole movie just screamed "this was written by cis people!" OFMD has the exact opposite vibes, you can TELL there were trans writers in the writing room.
So often, when we see gay relationships in media, there's an attempt to force the characters to be "the feminine one" and "the masculine one" in a very transparent showing of how they're too scared of queerness so there have to be some gender roles shoved in there. Ed and Stede turn that trope right on its fucking head.
Because Ed and Stede both have different and complex relationships with their own masculinity, and they're both feminine and masculine in different ways. Stede worries about being seen as soft and struggles with what a "man's work" should look like, but even in more practical clothes he loves his little accessories and he just adores showy, campy clothing. Ed feels forced into an ideal of hyper-masculinity, but he also loves wearing soft robes, painting his nails, and writing poetry. He painted a bride cake topper to look like himself as an expression of his deepest, most tender dreams and it's never made into a joke. OFMD's thesis statement is that "the things we're taught about being a man are wrong," and it shines through in every angle of the show. The men on the show are allowed to be tender as hell and it's a fucking strength.
It's such a lovely, queer thing, to see both of these characters get to express feminine traits in their own masculine way, without the narrative telling us they're any less of a man for it or asking us to laugh at them.

I'm so tired of people saying that the Prince from Snow White is a creep for kissing Snow White when he thought she was dead.
People act as if he put his tongue down her throat while she looks like a regular corpse.
Maybe I'm just more comfortable with death because of my upbringing.
There's a European tradition that you would kiss dead people goodbye. You would also wait with a dying person because dying alone was one of the most horrible ways to die.
In Poland, you would spend three days with the dead body of your relative in the house so family and friends have time to say goodbyes. We even have pictures of family members in coffins, so we could remember them.
Yeah, it's a very post-modern, historically, culturally-small-minded way to look at it.
Specifically in this movie (which is a fairy tale's fairy tale) people just...totally ignore the scene where The Prince is introduced.
Seriously and truthfully, BECAUSE the Prince only takes action in three scenes of the movie, you HAVE to take all three of them very very seriously. Because thats all there is to know about him. That's how fairy tales work: lots of information hiding under very brief, simple snippets of information. It's called nuance.
Anyway.
The Prince kisses Snow White as a culmination of their promised love for each other.
Tumblr media
First scene he's in, he falls in love with her because of her obvious purity and he overhears her longing for someone to love her. Then she runs away because she's not sure of him, and doesn't know him. But he sings his part of the song, which is all about how he has just one heart to give, one devotion to spend, and he's choosing to give it and spend it on her if she'll have him.
Tumblr media
And she will have him. How do we know? She sends a kiss to him on the dove. That's how the exchange ends; that's how she responds, and that's why he leaves satisfied. It's their engagement scene. They're promising their hearts to each other.
Tumblr media
Fast-forward, the Queen messes up what might have been the natural follow-through of that engagement which is marriage by trying to kill Snow White, she's living in the woods, but she won't forget the Prince and wholeheartedly believes he'll come find her.
Tumblr media
And the very next thing we hear about him is that he keeps his promise. He's got one heart, one love, one devotion, and it's promised to Snow White, and he will not stop searching for her. When he finds her, he's returning her kiss from their engagement scene. He thinks she's dead, but he has to finish his quest anyway. This is him, trying to keep his promise even if she's dead; he's trying to fulfill the exchange they had when they saw each other last.
Tumblr media
It's ridiculous to assume that she needed to be awake and alive to give permission for him to kiss her; it's ignorant of the whole relationship, symbolic and literal, between these two fairy tale characters. She already sent him her kiss and her heart; he already promised to claim it; he's fulfilling the promise in that scene.
Tumblr media
Crazy postmodern people, don't know how to take in a story. Not everything gets to have your socio-cultural lens imposed upon it.

Genre/Warning: Confessions, Enemies to Lover, Eventual Romance, Slow Burn
Author’s Note: The last part aaaaaa im gonna miss this 🤧
PART ONE | PART TWO
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
With every passing year, you were getting a step closer to your dream. The stage became a set and curtain calls became wrap parties. You no longer had rehearsals, you had takes.
There’s no audience, there’s cameras instead. Your live performances were now edited ones, and changing costumes didn’t have to be done so quickly anymore.
Projected voices and exaggerated gestures were no longer your thing. You were now more subtle—nuanced. Micro-expressions and quieter dialogues became your new thing.
These are the many changes you went through to become who you are today, the It Girl of Hollywood. You were known for your sharp wit and an even sharper tongue; thanks to the thorn on your side since high school.
Your rivalry with Kenji became the stuff of tabloid legend. Your public feud became a part of your brands. This time around, though, it was you who had the unerring knack for getting under his skin.
How the tables have turned, indeed. And Kenji looked forward to your verbal sparring matches even more so than before.
Whenever Kenji had a big game, you would inevitably tweet something snarky. And whenever you had a new movie release, he would make a point to mock you in interviews.
It was a dance you two perfected through the years; one that hid the truth neither was willing to admit. The world knows, oh they do. “The more you hate, the more you love,” as they said.
Your one-of-a-kind relationship with Kenji is all over social media, with fans and fellow celebrities alike piqued by your long-standing rivalry of sorts.
“Okay, (y/n),” your manager said. "I need to brief you on something before we get to the studio."
The two of you are headed to an interview with your one and only enemy, Kenji Sato. The limo you were on glided smoothly through the bustling streets of LA.
"What is it this time?” You asked, raising an eyebrow. “Another last-minute change?"
"Not exactly," she answered. "There's been a lot of buzz on social media about you and Kenji."
“Buzz?” your eyes widened. "What kind of buzz?”
"Well, let's just say the world is very interested in your... dynamic," she replied, smirking.
You took your phone out and started scrolling through tweets, heart racing as you read the comments from various celebrities.
Tumblr media
You couldn't help but smile at the comments, a mix of embarrassment and amusement swirling inside you. "Wow, they really think we're... in love?"
It seems like the world ships you two. You can’t blame them. Sometimes you wonder if you’re giving too much away that they’re starting to notice.
But everyone knew already. They have done so since high school. The only ones who didn’t know, or rather, didn’t admit, were you and Kenji.
You were a study-first type of girl when you were a student. And now, you’re a career woman who loves her job. Somehow, there is currently no spot in your life for dating.
Your agency tried, they really did. They tried putting you in a love team with other actors but for every interaction with Kenji, the fans seemed to love it more.
But no matter how you deny it—to others and to yourself—there is something that you refuse to face, a repressed admiration blanketed by faux hate.
Meanwhile, in the studio, bright lights were beaming down on Kenji as he adjusted his jacket. He’s tossing a baseball form hand-to-hand as he waits for you.
In a short while, the door swung open. You walked in with the grace of a seasoned actress, smile dazzling and eyes sharp. You made your way to the stage, commanding attention.
Kenji’s smirk widened as you approached. You looked elegant and sophisticated in the chic dress that you wore. You always did. You were always so beautiful and smart, and all so dense.
“Kenji!” you said with a mock sweetness. “I didn’t know they let amateurs in the show.” You sat down on the couch next to him.
Kenji leaned back in his chair, still tossing the ball. “Well, they needed someone to balance out your overacting,” he replied.
The host, catching the vibe, jumped in with a chuckle, "Welcome, both of you. The dynamic duo, or should I say the dynamic rivals. How are you feeling today?"
Kenji shrugged, his eyes never leaving you. "Feeling great,” he answered. “Especially now that I know (y/n) here is going to try and one-up me."
You crossed your legs and leaned back, matching his intensity. "Oh, Kenji, it's not about one-upping,” you said. “It's about showing the world who truly deserves the spotlight."
The host laughed, clearly enjoying the energy between them, "Well, let's dive right into it. You two have a practically legendary history. Care to share how it all started?"
Kenji glanced at you, his expression playful. "It's simple,” he answered. “(Y/n) has always had a talent for annoying me."
You rolled her eyes, "And Kenji has always had a talent for being easily annoyed."
The host leaned forward, sensing an opportunity. "But there's got to be more to it than that,” he said. “You both always seem to have this... chemistry."
Kenji smirked, leaning closer to you, "Chemistry that explodes, you mean."
You shot back, voice dripping with sarcasm, "Yeah, the kind that blows up in your face."
The host laughed, clapping his hands together. "So, Kenji," the host said. "You’ve got a big game coming up. How do you feel about (y/n) always commenting on your games?"
Kenji chuckled, glancing at you. “Honestly?” He replied. “ I look forward to it. Keeps me on my toes."
You smiled, a genuine one this time. "And I watch every game,” you said. “Gotta make sure l have enough material to roast you."
The host raised an eyebrow, "Sounds like you two are more invested in each other than you let on."
He then turned to you. "What about you?” He asked. “How do you feel about Kenji's constant critiques of your acting?"
"I think he's secretly a fan,” you laughed. “Why else would he watch all my movies?"
Kenji leaned closer, his voice low, "Maybe I am. Or maybe I just like seeing you try so hard."
“You wish,” you met his gaze, eyes twinkling with mischief. "Please, Kenji, you couldn't handle me if you tried."
Kenji leaned ever closer, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "Is that a challenge, (l/n)?"
“Maybe it is,” you met his gaze, heart skipping a beat. "Do you think I do not know about the flowers being delivered to my set—where they come from?”
Kenji was silenced, blush creeping on his cheeks. “Like, come on, Kenji,” you continued. “Flowers, seriously? For who knows since when—just ask me out already!”
The people in the studio gasped at the revelation. Everyone else was on the edge of their seats.
You weren’t dumb to not know where those flowers came from. It started with the very first movie you filmed and it continues until now with the latest one that has just been released.
“If you knew, then why didn’t you say anyt—“ Kenji was cut off by you, “Because I was waiting for you!”
The tension in the air seemed palpable. No one said anything, no one made a move.
“You were too busy chasing a ball! And you were so happy with it, I didn’t want to interfere!” you continued.
“Yeah, well!” Kenji said, thinking of a good comeback. “You were always paired up with another man, I didn’t wanna ruin your love team!”
“Then I’m glad none of them ever worked!”
“Thank heavens! Dinner, later at 7PM, Michelin-starred restaurant, your pick!”
“Fine!”
At that moment, everyone in the room burst into squeals. The floor beneath you shook with the intensity of people jumping up and down at the same time. Even the host stood and did a victory dance in front of the camera.
It felt as if the world rejoiced in unity. This was a memorable day for all the fans that were watching live.
The celebration of each person in the room had blurred as you and Kenji stared at each other. “Took you long enough,” you said softly. Kenji chuckled, “You weren’t so dense, after all.”
Without hesitation, you leaned close and threw your arms over his shoulder, hugging him. He hugged back, tighter, for he was also waiting for this moment for what felt like an eternity.
The screaming in the background loudened at your interaction but none of you paid mind. To you, Kenji’s hug felt warm and comfy and oh-so lovely.
The years, no matter how long it has been, were all worth it for this moment. If there was anyone who knew you best, it was Kenji. The same goes for him.
Your phone, in your manager’s care, beeped with so many notifications. Checking your account on her tablet, she was greeted by over a hundred thousand tweets in just a few minutes.
Tumblr media
That night, the two of you didn’t go out for dinner as said on TV. Instead, you treated your team to the dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant you picked while you, with Kenji, stayed at home.
You found yourselves dancing together in the comfort of your living room. The air was filled with a soft melody, and as you swayed to the music. Kenji realized how natural it felt to have you in his arms.
"You know," he murmured, "I never imagined we'd be here." You remembered high school, the graduation ball, your first dance with each other.
“I think I’ve been in love with you for a long time,” you said, head on his chest.
“Wow you’re even dense with yourself,” he chuckled.
“Shut up,” you replied. “And you’ve always been a dork.”

❤️‍🩹I Just Want to be Loved ♦︎ Timeless Pick A Card
We attract terrible loves for various reasons; so many lessons; but now sorrow has got to lessen. Let’s reveal patterns by exhuming roots. We’ve got to stop this cycle of disappointments. Done being made to feel as if we’re hard to love.
We’re not hard to love. Many of us were simply denied love, warmth and affection as we were growing up… Don’t know how to love self; don’t know how to love others; basically don’t know how to even receive Love… Who’s to blame now?
Why the hell were so many children denied love, warmth, affection…?
What are you going to do with yourself when you were denied love, warmth and affection as you were growing up?
☆♪°・.
‘The child who isn’t embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.’ – an African proverb
People denied warmth and affection tend to fall into a desperate loop of fishing for attention as a result of love-deficiency, right? Some learn to lick love off a knife; some pursue success (whatever that means) all too frantically; some…shoot complete strangers in broad daylight; and some who ain’t got the guts to murder complete strangers in public places go instead for antagonising strangers on social media… Gosh, that is desperate.
But you know what, not all hope is lost because there’s still plenty of us who are blessed with this incredibly RARE thing called self-awareness. There are plenty of us who will take our traumas to the graveyard than pass them down the next generations.
You, don’t deserve to have your sanity and your Life ruined by some psychos who didn’t know how to love you. Reclaim lost pieces of yourself by understanding THREE Houses in your natal chart, babe:
4th House: your roots; tells you what was lacking in your home; explains your erratic 10th House ambitions
8th House: your marriage or your desire for a bond like it; this the House where trauma manifests itself in full spectrum
11th House: your wish fulfilment; where you connect with people who support your visions; breeds a healthy sense of connection, even community

Pile 1 – Because I Can’t Even Trust Myself
VIBE: Trust by Hamasaki Ayumi
Tumblr media
lost pieces (pertaining to 4th House) – Ace of Pentacles Rx
It’s clear your childhood didn’t offer a sense of stability or security—the physical kind that children usually need. It could be that a grownup left early or it could be that you moved around a lot, so you easily lost contact with new friends you’d just made. In essence, it feels like you grew up feeling ‘everything disappears eventually; everyone leaves eventually’.
Some of you might’ve grown up not having a lot of material resources, but for the majority of you tuning into this Pile, it was more a feeling of a lack of warmth. For children, the pain of neglect and a lack of emotional connection do really affect our physical health more severely. You might’ve grown up poor and sickly due to all the grownups around you being inattentive, unaffectionate, and just…unreliable at best.
Because of this awareness, from a young age you realised you would have to do everything yourself. You wanted to grow up quickly and do your own things your own ways. It’s not like you had to grow up fast, you wanted to grow up fast to have your freedom and power! It was…hard to trust adults. It was hard to trust the world at large.
growing pains (pertaining to 8th House) – 8 of Pentacles
On the path of growing up, I think you became a hard worker of sort? This is very nuanced though—there are layers to your developing yourself to become a hardworking person. In many ways, you grew up responsible because you didn’t want to become like the adults who had disappointed you. But since this sense of ‘responsibility’ is a product of neglect and trauma…this is coming off as your feeling responsible for everything. Everything!
Some of you could’ve been too hard on yourself, expecting way too much for your age. You’ve felt like you’re always the one with everything to prove. It’s hard living like that. It feels like you’ve put so much effort into keeping everything together, and yet, nobody sees how much you care. Nobody truly understands the fear in your mind and pain you carry in your heart.
In matters of relationship, you cling extra hard to friends or lovers, too; because deep down you’re afraid of losing things and people, again and again. This unhealthy attachment—and to some extent, controlling behaviour—is truly your wounded inner child attempting frantically to keep your Reality from falling apart…
reclamation (pertaining to 11th House) – 4 of Cups
I’m very sure that at some point in Life, your Higher Self and team of Spirit Guides are going to kick in and meddle with your Earthly business. For some people, it’s possible you could lose contact with everybody you’ve ever known in Life and go into a hermit mode to find yourself again. For some, it could be that your whole Life is simply flipped, without necessarily losing key people in your Life, for you to look at Life and human connections from a very different point of view.
It’s going to be hard, of course. Emotionally, it could be devastating. Themes of abandonment and betrayal are big in your incarnation. But you know, ultimately, all of these challenges serve to remind you that the Cup of Love and Affection you’ve been looking for has always been right inside of you. You’ve had a bitter time with a lot of people because deep down you couldn’t trust them. You couldn’t trust other people’s loyalty because you didn’t even believe that you’re worthy of that Love and Loyalty you yearn for.
Your Spirit Guides are saying, that although at some point in Life things are going to get really tough, know that when you’ve graduated those lessons, you’re going to be rewarded with the most beautiful Soulmate-shit friendships, familyship and relationship. Truth be told, part of your Soul’s scenario in this incarnation is to find your Soul Tribe; and find your Tribe you shall~

Pile 2 – Misled by My Own Compassion
VIBE: Cry Me A River by Julie London
Tumblr media
lost pieces (pertaining to 4th House) – Knight of Cups
It’s very likely your 4th House is in a Water sign, but if not, you’re still very much a Water-y person; perhaps your Ascendant or Moon is in a Water sign, or that you have Neptune/Moon near/in your 4th, 7th or 11th House. All of this generally makes you a deeply compassionate person. No matter what outer appearances give, you strive to look deeper into a person’s Soul. You have so much empathy and you want to believe in the good of people.
Alas! This rotten world doesn’t make it too easy. This world is not a world where kindness and compassion are truly rewarded, if we don’t learn to be a tad cruel ourselves. You’re not in the wrong for being so genuinely good and compassionate; it’s this world that’s the wrong world. You know that? Therefore, it is paramount you learn to be a bitchilante! But I’m getting ahead of myself.
In spite of this PAC’s intro, I sense the majority of you tuning into this Pile actually grew up quite well. Many of you actually grew up in loving homes and that’s why it’s been quite challenging for you to grapple with the realness of the ugliness of the world outside of your loving home. Really…people in the real world…are monsters! And you were taken aback!
But some of you instead most likely grew up in chaotic, battlefield-esque homes and that’s why you’ve striven to be so good to a point of detriment.
growing pains (pertaining to 8th House) – 0 The Fool Rx
Be that as it may, you being you… Well, you do put in the effort to try and understand what makes monsters the way that they are, right? It’s all good and wonderful, until you get yourself in deep trouble where nobody can save you but your own monstrosity. Depending on your age when reading this, this could be something that’s happened in the past or will happen; where you will be forced to grow up in the sense of seeing the world as it is and get firm with assholes!
Dr Jordan Peterson has this gold shit to summarise this spiritual lesson you will be taking at some point in Life: ‘You should be a monster, an absolute monster, and then you should learn to control it.’ Well, that’s male speech. In female speech, we just say: ‘you gotta grow up and be a bitchilante!’
Be a bitch only to those who deserve it. How would you protect yourself from monsters if you don’t have the strength to fight them at their own game, darling? If you’re harmless, weak as a fawn, if anything, the real monsters in the world are going to toy with your sanity: ‘I saw my “crazy” side once and decided I wouldn’t be involved with anyone that would take me out of my peace like that ever again.’
Be a bitchilante. That whole concept of ‘good, harmless, love and light, positivity-only’ bullshit was put out there not to really make you good but to weaken you against the truly monstrous ones. WAKE UP, BITCH!
reclamation (pertaining to 11th House) – 4 of Pentacles
So? So what if you’re selective with your affection? Not everybody deserves your compassion. That’s for sure. There are many people in the world and you can’t be nice to all of them. One at point or another, you’re gonna be a villain in someone’s story—so what? Everybody else is the main character of their own Stories; that, you can’t control.
Be careful that you’re not falling victim to your own narcissism in wanting to be praised in everybody’s Story, yeah? So then, pertaining to your 11th House, weirdly enough, your wish fulfilment is in the form of a psychological liberation from your own idea of yourself in the minds of others. I sense that if you’re East Asian this is gonna resonate much harder and louder LOL
Anyway, I want to assure you that once you’ve graduated from your spiritual lessons, you will be met with unique, courageous, rebellious weirdos who will be just as clear as you are about what it truly means to be a good person in a world that’s often very bad. How good should a person be to truly be considered a good person?
‘If I offended you, cry me a river. I’ll bring snacks and a raft. I will literally float down your tears eating chips and working on my tan.’ – Fuckology

Pile 3 – Lights Out; I’m Out to Find Myself
VIBE: To. X by Taeyeon
Tumblr media
lost pieces (pertaining to 4th House) – Ace of Cups Rx
I’ve to preface this Pile by saying this the pile that gets a little violent…
You were originally such a positive, happy-go-lucky kid, but quite early on, this world gave you so much darkness. So many reasons to be sad. It’s not been a very kind life, to be honest. Defo many of you have tragical placements here—your 4th or 5th House could start or end in Scorpio; have Lilith/Pluto/Chiron/Saturn there or in the sign of Cancer/Pisces; or it could be that your Venus/Moon is imprisoned in the 8th or 12th House and harshly aspected, too...
If your childhood has been violent or mightily confusing, it’s a group thing, OK? You can think like that. It’s not your fault. Know that practically everybody who has these harsh placements has gone through very similar things as you. So you’re really not the only one who’s failing—whatever that means. You’ve been gaslit a lot into believing there’s something wrong with you, but it was your environment that was just filled with totally terrible Human beings. That much I’d like to assure you.
It wasn’t natural how you were abused psychologically and emotionally. The people around you drew a parallel to Cinderella’s stepsisters in the Disney classic. It’s ridiculous like that. I think you grew up terribly lonely and created comfort characters in your head to console your sorrows? It’s very likely that your comfort characters were in actuality a mirror fragment of your Soul Family’s existence locked in your memory bank.
growing pains (pertaining to 8th House) – XIV Temperance Rx
Life, unfortunately, isn’t a Disney movie. As a result of the psychological and emotional abuse you’ve endured in childhood, your friendships and relationships might’ve been quite turbulent, at times even violent. Juuust a small number of you could’ve dealt with being called a violent kid, or you could’ve struggled with anger management and have terrible tantrums. All of these have made human connections quite difficult to navigate.
It’s not like you want to be a nasty person, right? Many times, you couldn’t help the way you react/respond to what’s being said and unsaid because, somehow, there are many things that people do and say that trigger a trauma response in you. There’s a very difficult Mars thingy going on here. I think many of you resonating with this Pile have some difficult Mars (ruler of Scorpio) placements/aspects that affect the way you manifest human connections in your Life.
Speaking in terms of synastry, it could be that you’ve attracted a great deal of people whose Mars aspected badly in your natal chart—consequently triggering bad traumas and manifesting violent outbursts in your connections. Ultimately though, these negative experiences with other people could’ve enforced your belief about how unlovable you are, which, really, is a false belief…
reclamation (pertaining to 11th House) – 5 of Wands
It is a false Reality that you’re unlovable or unworthy of a healthy relationship. That bullshit was implanted in you through the creation of a harsh environment that caused you a great deal of rage. Of course, you’re accountable for how you behave towards other people, but your foundation was never quite healthy or peaceful or harmonious, so… How about we put it all behind us and focus on healing? After all, it’s not like the people you’ve had a beef with were completely innocent? XP
It's kinda selfish to think like that, but you can depend on your own discernment to distinguish who amongst the people you’ve hurt or had a beef with to apologise to. Remember: sometimes apologies only make you weaker and looking at the unique bullshit astrological placements you were born with… apologising to the wrong fucker would only get you gaslit even more! So, don’t. Don’t apologise for the distress you experienced under other people’s lack of support.
Burn that bridge and detach yourself from that old stinking world. With your sheer willpower, you have it in you to rebuild your own little world of love and peace. After all, those harsh placements you were born with, are you aware of just how much power they bestow you? These placements come with a lot of turbulences but once you graduate your first Saturn Return, they also give you a burst of power unlike any other!
Lights out. Not entertaining aenergies that seek to nip your power at the bud anymore. Burn, baby, burn strong! Burn the whole Tower and find yourself on new lands~!

The way that the cast (with the exception of Justin Baldoni) of It Ends With Us is handling the actual story is so disheartening and gross. It Ends With Us is the recountment of a domestic violence survivor, a story about her and her abuser. It’s not a “fun” “funny” “movie with hot boys and girls” story (Blake Lively’s actual words to describe the film), it’s a story about the nuances of DV, and the hope that you can end the generational trauma. Ryle IS Lily Bloom’s abuser and a perpetrator. He is NOT a male romantic interest in a romance novel, he is an abuser. Lily Bloom falling in love with Ryle and narrating it shows us how difficult it is to leave that type of relationship, how we ignore the red flags because of the feelings and complexities of it all. Like viewers and readers need to understand that.
STOP ROMANTICIZING THIS STORY PLEASE

Make A Movie
Warning: Smut (+18)
Baby, we don't need no script (Script) for this (For this) I'ma throw a couple thousand, baby, strip (Strip) for this (For this) Let me pull my camera out and make a (Movie, yeah) Starrin' (You and me, yeah)
Roman’s grip tightened on your face, his fingers pressing firmly into your cheek as he forced your gaze into the camera’s unblinking eye. He stood tall behind you, his bare chest brushing against your bare back, while you were positioned in front of the dresser. His black, wavy locs dangled over your shoulder, the ends lightly tickling your skin, adding an unexpected layer of pleasure. The soft, coconutty scent of shea moisture clung to his hair, filling your nostrils with a familiar, comforting fragrance that you loved because you also tended to use the same hair product.
You inhaled deeply, savoring it. His face was also nestled deep in your thick, curly 4b/4c fro, smelling that familiar scent of coconut. The soft coils brushed against his cheek as he moved, trying to maneuver around your hair. But even as he shifted, his lips brushing your ear, you could feel the smile tugging at his mouth. He loved the feel of your curls—how they surrounded him, a constant reminder of one of the many reasons he fell in love with you in the first place. The texture, the beauty, the wildness of them—it was all part of you, and it drove him wild.
Normally, in moments like this, your eyes would wander to your reflection, looking for his eyes in the mirror, enjoying the way he watched you. But tonight that wasn't the case—tonight, you were staring straight into the lens of a camera he’d proudly bought over the weekend.
He had gone on and on, boasting about the crystal-clear resolution, the sharpness of the image, and the way it captured even the smallest detail. You assumed he had purchased it for family gatherings, for special occasions, to create lasting memories. But now, it was clear—the memories he wanted to create weren’t the ones shared at celebrations. No, he wanted to capture every nuance of this moment. The deep richness of your melanin skin, glowing under the soft light. The way your eyes glistened as you silently begged for more, the camera drinking in every flicker of desperation. He wanted it all—the sharp clarity of your moans, how the sound of your voice would tremble and rise, your gasps and breaths recorded in perfect unison. The sighs, the whimpers, every surrendering sound was meant to be preserved, etched into the flawless quality of this new toy he was so proud of.
Your hands pressed flat against the cool surface of the black wooden dresser, fingers splayed wide as you struggled to stay still. The hand holding your cheek worked hard to keep you focused on the camera while the other—free from its task of forcing you to submit—was busy teasing your nipple, rolling it between his fingers with a touch that made your pussy throb with a crazy ache.
He knew exactly what he was doing. Roman was a craftsman who had learned all the ways to unravel you. He was cold and calculated, you could feel it with every brush of his fingers. He had watched the way you responded—the slight arch of your back, the soft gasps that escaped your lips when he touched the right spot. He could damn near bring you to insanity, making you drip with need, but he always kept you right there, hovering on the edge of sweet release.
The way his fingers teased your bud made your breath get lost in your throat, and your body trembled from all the emotions that you felt. He grinned as he felt your reaction, knowing that with every flick and tug, your body was begging him for more.
"You love this, don’t you? Love being right here, just about to break."
And it was true. You were soaked, every nerve tingled, with the feeling of being so close yet so far from release. But you knew he loved it too. Teasing you until your body was as wet as the ocean, leaving you desperate and shaking. It wasn’t just about the physical pleasure for him though. As we all know, he thrived on controlling you, on watching you fall apart piece by piece under his touch.
But he also understood your love for submitting to him. He tended to you with all his might, fulfilling your wants and needs in ways that left you feeling cherished. Physically, mentally, emotionally, even financially—he cared for you in all the ways that mattered, even though you didn’t need him to. You carried your own weight, having a successful career, independent and more than capable. But something was irresistible about knowing you didn’t have to do it all alone. Just knowing that he was there, ready to support you without question, made you want to give yourself to him completely.
It wasn’t just his actions; it was the way he did it. The way he made you feel safe and seen, while still allowing you the freedom to be strong. That kind of devotion—selfless, yet confident in his role—was a complete turn-on. Pussy completely wet without question. It made you look forward to the moment when you could submit entirely, offering him everything he could ever ask for, knowing that he would take care of you in return.
The thought of it made you sigh deeply, in the best way of course—the idea of giving him all of you, letting him guide you, because you knew in your heart that you were safe in his hands. It was what made intimate moments special. He knew how much you craved his words, how much you needed to be talked through it, pushed toward the edge while he whispered in your ear. You wanted to be teased, denied, and kept in that delicious state of frustration, only to have him edge you over and over again. And when you could hardly take it any longer, when your body was shaking, he would finish you completely, making you surrender every single piece of yourself to him.
"Tell the camera what you want," he growled dangerously, his hand tightening around your nipple, the sensation somehow simultaneously sharp and sweet. While his other hand slid from your jaw to your throat, his fingers wrapping around you with just enough pressure to make you gasp. You could barely think, let alone speak, "Tell the camera how much you love it when I tease you. When I make you beg for it."
Your body was damn near burning, crying out for release, but you knew he wouldn’t give it to you until you asked for it—until you begged. And even then, he’d make you wait, because that’s how he controlled you, how he made you submit completely. He loved to hear the desperation in your voice, to see the way your body shook, and to know that he held all the power.
“I love it,” you gasp, your voice shaky and breathless as your body quivers. “Fuck, I love when you do this to me… when you make me beg for you.” The words tumble from your lips, barely a whisper as you could hardly form the words.
“Please Roman, I need you..so fucking bad..”
His hand slid lower, fingers trailing from your neck to your other breast savoring the way your body trembled under his touch. You could feel his body heat behind you, his scent and his presence wrapping around your senses. The breaths you took felt heavy, your lips parting as your gaze remained fixed on the camera.
"Look at you," Roman murmured in your ear. His right hand now pulling behind you to travel down the curve of your spine, resting on your waist as he pulled you back against him. His grip was strong, and you were caught between the camera’s cold, silent witness and his touch. "The camera loves you. I love watching you like this."
The camera’s lens seemed to drink in every bead of sweat forming on your brow and the goosebumps on your skin as Roman’s hands explored you. His fingers traced the contours of your hips before slipping between your thighs, teasingly slow. You gasped softly, your voice trembling into the quiet of the room.
He chuckled darkly, the sound vibrating against your back. "I want you to make the kind of sounds this camera will never forget." he whispered, lips brushing the shell of your ear.
You could barely hold back a moan as his fingers pressed deeper, setting a pace that left you breathless. Your body responded helplessly, hips rocking back toward him, wanting more contact. The camera captured it all—your movements, the flicker of need that crossed your face, the sounds that fell from your lips. Everything. And that's exactly what he wanted.
"There you go, that's Daddy's sweet girl.."
Leaning in closer, his mouth traced the sensitive skin of your neck. His fingers quickened their rhythm, and your fingers held on tighter to the dresser if that was even a possibility.
You whimpered his name, the tension coiling tighter inside you. Roman pressed closer, his lips brushing the delicate skin just beneath your ear, as your body arched against him, his muscles melting into the grooves of your own.
"That's it, let it all out." he coaxed, "Show the camera exactly how much you want it."
Roman's fingers played you like an instrument, and with every stroke, every flick, he pulled a new sound from you. Your world blurred as his words sank in, pushing you further into bliss. The sound of your moans filled the room and your gasps were captured perfectly by the camera's mic—your whimpers echoing in the silence. Roman's fingers pressed deep into your pussy, curling and grazing every part of your pussy that made you want to crumble and curl into a ball. You cried out, your pussy contracting around his fingers soaking them into the slick juices that he typically loved coating his tongue in.
As your body trembled in the aftermath, Roman leaned closer, "Perfect," he whispered, "Exactly what I wanted."
The camera blinked its final red light, sealing this moment. It was more than just a scene—it was a movie, starring only you and him.

Okay I’m gonna preface this by saying that while I have read the comic, it was quite a few years ago and I remember very little, so this will be based on the movie but
Holy shit. The Director’s nightmare. Can we talk about the Director’s nightmare? I’m dying to talk about the Director’s nightmare.
She dreams about a crack, she’s the only one who sees it, and it is what inevitably leads to the destruction of the walls that are so fundamental to the way her society is ordered. And I couldn’t imagine a better allegory for the slippery slope political opinions on gay and trans rights, especially in a kids’ movie.
Like, it’s a logical fallacy, and that’s made plain and clear. When she says it out loud, it clearly comes off as someone obsessing too much over one tiny thing, thinking that it will bring about destruction. Her own sense of self-importance, as well as the fact that she’s really only making vague speculations, is emphasized by the fact that she’s the only one who’s seeing it. She’s the only one who even perceives it as a crack. But after so long of fearing it, she lets that fear rule her logic, and even when she says it out loud, when it’s clear to anyone listening that it makes no actual sense, she’s too far gone to realize it herself.
It’s realistic in the way that she does sound like she believes it herself, and it echoes the speeches of actual harmful people spreading similar fear, so it brings to attention that, yes, there are people out there who believe this with all their heart, and you cannot easily, if at all, convince them otherwise.
But it’s also made clear that she’s wrong. Of course we see that Ballister and Nimona were always worthy of being heroes rather than villains, but even in that one scene, her logic is vague enough that it makes sense only to her. There’s no real discussion to be had here, it’s simply a person seeing something that isn’t there.
Idk I just love that some kids will watch this and become a bit more aware of the nuances of the many opinions that they’ll hear in their lives. And hopefully they won’t fall into similar traps of letting their fear rule them.
Anyway go watch Nimona it’s great
