It’s been almost 2 weeks since I had Covid. My first gym session was tough to be honest. I thought I’d ease my way back into it, but even when basic tasks leave me breathless I knew it would be a struggle. Thursday – Treadmill – I started with a 5 minute slow walk. Hope I get better at explaining this. When you do any push or triceps exercise it is important to squeeze out the muscle to get the most contraction out of it rather than putting excessive weight on it and locking out or over extending your elbows which is bad for your joints in the long run. Also focus on the eccentric contraction (downward phase) controlling the weight slower to its starting position. This way you will build better muscle without putting all that extra strain on your joints. I want to focus more on detail this year.
