A hero’s best friend

Part two! Find part one here !

Summary: Drew goes to deliver some important information to Bruce Wayne about the infection a new villain gave him. Bruce is feeling... odd.

Word count: 1513

Drew grinned, waving a little, “Figured you would be, Alf. How’ve you been?”

“I’m quite alright, sir,” the man smiled warmly and gestured first at Drew, then to Tucker, then inside, before asking, “would you like to bring Tucker in? Ace has just finished dinner.”

At hearing the man, Tucker’s head perked up from under a bush, the dog running full speed to his dad and the man, falling into a sit between the two men quickly. He glanced back at Drew, his tail wagging furiously underneath him. Drew shook his head with a smile before looking back to the other man. “He’s been so bored at the apartment, I’m sure he’s missed his crime-fighting buddy.”

That’s answer enough for all three of them, the man stepping aside so Tucker could race inside. Within seconds, there was a bark from both Tucker and Ace, and Drew laughed a little, stepping into the mansion and smiling at the butler.

“So, how’s Bruce doing? He ditched before he could get his blood results from Henrik- uh, Doctor Hayward,” Drew tried to keep any accusation out of his voice, fully aware that Bruce’s ego was a rather fragile thing, and he didn’t often rely on other people he didn’t know.

“He’s managing just fine, sir. He said he trusted you to get any information he needed, and clearly he was right,” Alfred smiled warmly at Drew, the man blinking for a moment as he registered that Bruce Wayne had trusted him with something.

Alfred led the way through the front hall and past the living room, where Tim gave him a quick wave before he threw the squeaky toy Ace and Tucker were fighting over away from him again.

The rest of the manor was quiet, Drew realizing the rest of the occupants were down below. Sunlight filtered in through the study’s windows as Alfred led Drew in, the butler moving to the clock to fiddle with the lock and eye scan, while Drew examined the grounds. It was nice outside, nicer than it was 2 minutes ago; the clouds had let up, and it was a rare moment of peace in Gotham.

Alfred cleared his throat, Drew looking and seeing the clock was open and the dark stairway behind it was looming. “Would you like company, Mr. Harper?” Drew smiled a little before shaking his head, patting Alfred on the shoulder before heading down.

It didn’t register that there was a much faster elevator down to the cave until he reached the main floor, immediately spotting Barbara and her wheelchair by the large computer in the cave. Bruce was next to her.

Grunts came from the training mat a level down, Drew walking over to the rail to see Jason and Dick sparring. Dick was laughing, the angry sounding curses coming solely from Jay as Dick avoided another headlock attempt.

“Too slow, little wing!”

“Eat my ass, Grayson!”

Drew smiled and tapped his hands against the guard rail, the sound drawing the attention of both men. Dick waved over Jason’s shoulder, Jay turning around to see who was spectating their fight. At seeing Drew, Jay jutted his hip and smirked, his arms lifting in a not-so-subtle flex as his hands clasped behind his neck.

“You enjoying the view, Harper?” Jay called, his smirk widening when Drew’s face flushed.

“A little. You blame me though?” Drew cast a helpless glance to Dick, who nodded with a mock solemness. Within moments, Dick snuck up behind a cockily boasting Jason, grabbing him around the waist and flipping him back over Dick’s shoulder, the both of them slamming into the ground. Jay spluttered angrily as soon as his breath came back, Dick and Drew both laughing at his outrage.

“Drew!” Bruce called from the Bat-Computer, Drew turning away from the brothers to face the man. His smile faded quickly as he saw the stern look on Bruce’s face. “You have important information for me, don’t you?”

Drew jogged the several feet between him and Bruce, giving an awkward, unsure nod while he rubbed the back of his neck. Anxiety was creeping in as he struggled to retrieve the information from his long-term.

“Yeah, uh. So Henrik said that the infection you have is new. Something he’s never seen before. And it looks so far like it’s incurable,” Bruce nodded, looking back to the computer.

“That’s the conclusion I’ve come to here too. The concerning part of this infection is that it looks-”

“Degenerative? That's what Hen said, anyway,” Bruce nodded, raising an eyebrow as if telling Drew to continue. “Um, right. He said it was just a theory, but it’s likely gonna eat at your cells for a while, until your blood turns totally black like the wound is,” he was almost directly quoting Henrik, and he let out a sigh of relief as he realized he had remembered correctly.

“That’s good to know. Did the blood sample turn black, or is he guessing?” A note of uncomfortable judgment entered Bruce’s voice, and Drew stood up a little straighter.

“It did. He doesn’t just make educated guesses, he wouldn’t have let me leave if he didn’t know what he was telling me was true,” Drew defended his friend with a slight frown on his face, and Bruce nodded once.

“You trust him then,” it isn’t a question, but Drew nods in response anyway. “Then if I get any more information, you can pass it along to him. Considering that new villain is going to be hanging around, we need to keep on-top of figuring out what exactly he does to people. Have you encountered him before?”

It’s a test, Drew knows. Tim had been with him the first time the glitching asshole had showed up, so no doubt Bruce already knew. Still, Drew answered, “Only once. He was the guy who killed Joker. His body had turned black pretty quick, so… I’ll talk to Henrik again soon, see if he can figure out where to begin curing this shit, for your sake.”

Bruce nodded, and sighed heavily. “Let’s hope one of us can find something. I’ll keep you updated too, Drew. Thank you.” It’s a dismissal if there ever was one, but Drew had heard those words so rarely from Bruce that he stands frozen for another moment.

Bruce doesn’t look at him again, so Drew shakes his head before nodding in response, “You’re welcome. Uh- see you later, Bruce.” He turns and goes back to Dick and Jason, both of whom were at the rails separating the two floors.

Drew knelt down in front of them, jerking his head towards Bruce, “Is he feeling okay?”

Jay laughed loudly, stepping back and letting Dick take this one. Dick shakes his head and huffs, leaning forward more to whisper, “He doesn’t like not knowing things, so that whole infection thing is really ticking him off. Plus he didn’t know the doctor you brought him to. And he’s not used to people disobeying him. Basically, you kicked his ego’s ass and he doesn’t want to be an asshole to you, so he’s going to the other end of the spectrum and being super nice.”

Drew blinks for a moment, before tilting his head and narrowing his eyes. “You’re fucking with me?”

“Nope! You got him good, D!” He reached through the rail and ruffles Drew’s hair, before backing off and going back toward Jay. “Ride that high while it lasts, bro!”

Drew scoffs with a steadily growing grin, before he turns to head out of the cave. The elevator catches his eye before he can start climbing the countless stairs, and he crosses the cave towards it. Barbara looks up from her part of the computer as he goes, wheeling back a foot so she catches his attention.

She calls loudly to him, uncaring that Bruce was right next to her, “Thanks for keeping him humble, Harper!”

Drew laughs and waves in acknowledgment, his giddy grin not fading when Bruce glances over at him. The man rolls his eyes before waving a good-bye, and the elevator’s gated door closes in front of Drew.

As it ascends, he can faintly hear Bruce call, “I’m not that bad!” followed by a round of laughter. Drew can’t help but chuckle along with them, even as the walls of the elevator shaft drowned out the others.

Drew practically skipped the whole way home, Tucker bouncing along in front of him, the puppy behaving but clearly excited, either because he got to see Ace and Tim, or because Drew was so damn giddy.

Regardless, when he opened the apartment door, both Tucker and Drew ran inside and immediately got into a play fight, Drew ending up on his back with Tucker standing on his chest, the dog’s tail going wild, and Drew’s grin still plastered across his face.

They had a moment of peace and happiness, no villains, no hero duties, no panic attacks, just a man and his dog, riding the high of hanging out with their good friends. For the moment, all was good in Drew’s life.

Cops-N-Robbers (prt1) the one where the 99 lost a detective

I sat at my desk finishing up the paperwork on the Kim murder, or my 'sweet murder case' as Jake would call it, when He walked into work, making a B line for my desk.

"heyyy hotstuff! watcha doinnnn?" he said as he sat down on the chair next to my desk. Rosa, who occupied the desk right in front of mine, rolled her eyes. "I'm doing my job, what were you doing that was so important for you to be one hour and 30 minutes late, 'hotstuff'" Jake stood up and laughed "I! was fixing up my car! so whos the one doing their job now?" I looked at him incredulously "still me, and how did you even get the money to-" I couldn't finish my sentence because Jake turned and noticed Amy coming out of Holt's office. He immediately walked towards her and they started flirting.

I rolled my eyes, for weeks now Jake had been drifting away from me and towards Amy more and more, as a matter of fact everyone had been. It was getting to a point where the longest conversation I had was fighting with the vulture. It was getting insanely lonely to work at the nine nine.

I had started looking for a new job in police work, I may have been the youngest detective on our team at 23 years old but that didn't stop me from wanting to join the Behavioral Analysis Unit as soon as I heard about it. I finally sent in my application for the Quantico team. I flew down for my interview with Aaron Hotchner soon after.

I followed the Stoic man up to his office, passing by a few people who all gave me slightly confused looks, before I found myself entering the small office. "Detective (y/l)" The man said as he stood up and held out his hand for me to shake "Agent Hotchner" I took his hand and gave it a firm shake before we both sat down. Agent Hotchner opened my file and quickly skimmed over it. "It says here that you finished high school at 15 years old, went to university in Mathematics, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, and have an IQ of around 190. It also says you got to detective in only one year and quickly became the best in your Precinct. this is highly impressive, what made you want to join the BAU now?"

"I love being a detective and I love New York, but I think its time to move on to new things and to help more people. I saw the BAU and did research on what you all do and I thought it would be the perfect job for me." Agent Hotchner nodded slowly before standing up. I did the same and he shook my hand. "welcome to the team Agent (y/l), you start in one month." "Thank you sir, have a nice day". As I left the office I caught the group of people whispering to each other and starring at me. when they saw I was looking at them they all ,very obviously, looked away into every direction and all scattered walking to their desks.

I found an apartment close enough to my new workplace and finished writing my two weeks notice in the plane back to new york. when my two weeks were over I walked over to the captains office as soon as I arrived, where the Sarge already was.

"Captain, Sarge?" "ah! Detective (y/l), please, sit down" I closed the door and sat down at his desk "sirs, I'm sent in my two weeks notice much earlier as im sure you've heard, and today is my last day at the 99" Terry and the Captain looked up from the captains computer simultaneously. "What??" the Captain looked insanely confused and i was sure Amy was peeping through the window but i didnt care. "I've gotten a job with the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI in Quantico Virginia, and I start in a few weeks." The Sarge looked down at me sadly. "I care for you all as if you were my family but I need a new beginning and Virginia as well and the BAU seem like a perfect place for me to do just that" "alright. you are our best detective, and It was a Pleasure working with you" the captain gave me one of his rare smiles before I left and the sarge closed the door behind me.

I turned back towards the bullpen, preparing to walk back towards my desk and pack what little belongings I had there when i was met with Amy and Charles surrounding me. "Hey, What was that all about? I totally saw the captain give you a sad smile and- holy shit" she looked back towards the office window "are they crying?" sure enough, when we looked into the window the Sarge was fully crying and the Captain had a few tears running down his face, they were obviously trying to have a serious conversation and failing. "What the hell did you say to them (Y/N)!" Charles said, quite loud, the team looked towards us, without me noticing. "Todays my last day at the 99, their making it a bigger deal that it actually is really" The team suddenly walked towards me all sounding insanely confused. they were all talking at the same time making everything seem like a strange jumble of sadness, and anger "What??" "why??" "couldn't you have told us??" "What are you going to do?". I finally stopped their rambling by answering "I got a new job that, I think, will suit me better. I care for you all but I need a fresh start" Jake was, for once quite serious, he really looed heart broken to see me go but i knew if i never left, i would be stuck there forever like Hitchcock and Scully. Jake looked up and said "What's your new job gonna be?" I rolled my eyes slightly smirked at him and left, but not before throwing a "You'll never find out" as the elevator doors shut on my friends.

A/N: i’m sorry this took so long but i finally beat writers block and this present to you all... THIS!

Synopsis: You and Shifty begin to talk about the future—what lies ahead on your journey together and what happens when the story ends.

It’d been a long day, warm and breezy, honey-slow for a change. He was lucky enough to snag a moment for himself after weeks of fighting along the frontlines, briefly forgetting the sound of death and instead, his day was filled with you, humming a tune as you laid just mere inches away from him.

It was familiar, but he can’t quite put his finger on it—he thinks it’s probably one of those Ella Fitzgerald songs he used to hear on the radio during those hot, summer nights back home at Clinchco. He rests against the trunk of the tree his body leans against, you’ve laid your head on his lap, eyes closed as his fingers became weaved within the strands of your hair—he thinks you look beautiful. The sun shines on your face so perfectly, it highlights your features so marvelously, the identity of the mystery tune no longer plagues his head but rather, replaced by another.

“I had a dream the other night.”

“Hm?” You glance up, unbothered.

Shifty fights the urge to shy away from the question. Instead, he rests his head against the tree his body leans against and brushes a stray hair from your face. “I had a dream...about us. We were married.”

You open your eyes, and the corners of your lips curved upwards. “We were?”

“Yeah,” he breathes. “We lived in a beautiful house back at Clinchco—two stories, nice, big ol’ living room, and a cute little pupper waiting for us in the front yard. Don’t think we named ‘im, but we were married, darlin’. Wedding bands and everythin’.” The rings were gold, he remembers. He’d run his thumb over the metal when he takes your hand into his over the kitchen counter, early morning I love yous exchanged over hot coffee. Having you be a part of his life in the years to come just felt like the right thing to happen. “I guess...I guess it was everything I could’ve ever wished for.”

“Everything you could’ve ever wished for?” you echo back, asking if you had heard him right and he nods.

“It was all so...perfect. It was the best dream I’ve had in a long time, and I still think about it, how...how wonderful everything was. And it just made sense, y’know, after all this war stuff, for me to go back home and settle down.” He looks down and hopes to see a look of agreement on your face, that maybe, you’d want to tag along with him in the end.

But of course, he doesn’t know what your post-war ambitions include. You’re young, you and Shifty both, at the ripe old age of twenty-one, he wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t feel like setting down just yet. If you wanted to travel the world, earn a university degree, reach for the highest stars in the sky, he’d promise that he’ll be by your side, even if it meant delaying his own plans until the time was right. Shifty doesn’t care where his future endeavors take him, he just knows that he’s meant to live them out with you.

“I think at this point, we both deserve that,” you say, rolling on your side and smiling at him. You’re glad you both grasped a moment for yourselves because if this was the last time you’d see each other, this is the way you would spend it—in his arms, at ease. “I’m hopin’ I get to live long enough to live that, you know? I don’t even know if I’ll be lucky enough to see your face tomorrow, I’m stuck here savoring this moment between us here, so that I’ll have something to hold on to if either of us don’t make it.”

He opens his mouth to speak, but the words come stuck at his throat. When you put it like that, Shifty becomes more aware of the circumstances that surround the universe at this very moment, and he’s almost found himself with a change of heart, a revelation. He pulls his hand away from your hair and traces the shape of your eyebrow with his thumb. He wished he would have appreciated this moment as much as you did. “I...I never thought of it like that before...suppose our days together are numbered, and we don’t know how long it’s gonna last.”

“Life without you, I don’t even wanna think what that would look like, Darrell. I never wanna think about a world where you’re not in it. Guess I love you a lot, but I just wanna believe that we’d be together until the end of time. Physically, emotionally, spiritually…”

“Maybe the best we could do is to hold onto each other for as long we can,” he says. He’s not so sure else to say. He didn’t expect for this conversation to ever happen, but he thinks it was bound to happen anyways—fighting on in a war next to the person he loves, it was a conversation he should have been ready for, but he never knew how heavy it would be.

It’s a solemn evening.

What began as a simple conversation of dreams and what ifs turned into a serious talk about life and death in a time where the next sunrise isn’t even guaranteed for every soul that long to see it. Shifty starts to think that maybe this conversation was meant to happen. He should have known that there might be a day where he would have to let go of you, go on with life as if you didn’t hold his heart with the gentlest hands—he realizes that he only wants to spend the rest of his own life with you. The first time he kissed you, behind the mess hall under the hot Georgia night, hair matted against your skin, he already knew there was no else he would rather spend life’s adventures with.

“I’ve been meanin’ to ask you,” he speaks again, “if you’d be okay livin’ the rest of forever with me. You don’t have to say yes.”

You furrow your eyebrows. “I don’t have to say yes?”

“Yeah. I don’t wanna force you into making a decision for me—I know Clinchco ain’t exactly a town with a whole lot of opportunities,” he said, fiddling with his fingers in his lap. “No matter what you say, I won’t love you any less. You could be halfway across the country doin’ ya own thing, and I’ll still be writing you love letters like I always do. Hopin’ they’ll nicer by then, but I can’t make a promises that they’ll be in any form extravagant.”

The speech smacks you across the face. You roll off his lap and plant your hand on the Earth to keep you steady. “Darrell...you really don’t have to—“

“But honey, I do mean it,” he interrupts. He bites his bottom lip and watches your expression, your eyebrows as they knit together in shock. “The way I feel when I’m with you...I just wanna feel it everyday, forever. I don’t care where in the world you take us, I just wanna be with you, Clinchco or not.”

“How come I don’t have to say yes?” you ask.

“‘Cause I know Clinchco ain’t the town for everyone, and I don’t know if you’d wanna settle down with some ol’ hillbilly like me. I know I can’t offer a whole lot to you. If you don’t wanna be seen with a fella like me, I understand, and I’ll still love you no matter what. And if you don’t wanna be with me no more, or if we can’t be together after this, just know that I would rather have you for the time we have right now than anyone else for the rest of my life.”

“Darrell…”

He gives you a sad smile. He means it.

You hold up a hand to his cheek and stroke the skin gently. “But I don’t know what I wanna do after all of this is over...we don’t even know when this is gonna end.”

“That’s alright, maybe we can think about it on the way…” He takes your hand and plants his lips on your palm. “I just needa know if you’re willing to spend the rest of eternity with...with me.”

For a fleeting moment, you’re motionless and Shifty’s smile starts to fade away with every passing second. He knows not to make a fuss about it, after all, he only wants what’s best for you, and he’ll be happy regardless of your decision.

“Yeah.” You sit back on your haunches and take his face into your hands. “I do wanna spend it all with you.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” You pull him in for a kiss, his own hands resting on the curve of your back. He worries about his lips being chapped, but you’ve kissed him one too many times to even bother with that—it’s perfect every time.

He pulls away after a short moment. “I’m not guilting you, am I?”

“No.” You shake your head. “Never. I’m choosing to live it out with you, and wherever this world takes us—who knows? I’m not expecting anything lavish, dear. All I really want is to be by your side, and for you to be right by mine.”

He’s awestruck. “You really do mean it, do you?”

“I know this is where I’m supposed to be.” You sit yourself next to him with your back against the tree trunk and put your head on his shoulder. “This is where I’m meant to be…”

There’s only a few more hours left until the both of you are able to get some shut eye, the sun finally ends her descent below horizon to welcome the faint outline of the moon. Shifty thinks about his dream again, how it would be to sleep together in an actual bed, legs tangled beneath blankets, wedding bands resting on the nightstand nearby—he wonders if that’s exactly what the future has in store for him. In another world, he wouldn’t have to worry about making it out the war alive, rather, he’d just have to worry about how long you both can sleep in together until you feel the guilt seep in from your sides.

He wraps his arms around you and watches as the shadows on the ground slowly blend into nothing, daylight fading away into the solemn darkness of the night. He feels content with what he has now and kisses the top of your head. You smile and squeeze his thigh, all too focused on enjoying the moment as it is.

For now, he would have to hold on for a little while longer. For the both of you.

Sebastian Stan Writing Challenge

I’m still taking a break from the quickies so I decided that April should be Sebastian Stan months cause why not? This challenge center around Seb and a handful of his characters. I listed the one you can write below. All the prompts are something either Seb or one of his characters have said at some point.

Due Date: April 30th (don’t worry about timezone. As long as it’s the 30th somewhere it counts.)

Word min: 500 words

Word Max: 5k words

Style: It can be a drabble, one shot or beginning of a series. Do not put in in the middle of an ongoing series since I plan on reading them and don’t want to read 10 parts of something to understand the entry. If you create a series only part one has to be posted before the due date.

Pairing and word count also have to be easy to spot in your header!

first of all i will definitely do poorly on this because,,, you know,,,,, he’s so precious and i don’t think my words can do it justice ksbdjshs i wanna make the sweetest scenario for him

but i suck at sweet stuffs smh bye

name: kim wonpil

major: modeling (i still cant believe this is an actual major im living under a rock smh)

other activities: member of music club, keyboardist and main singer of the university band

jae calls him “the backbone” of the music club because wonpil participates in all club events, he always takes part in weekly activities, and he actively finds new recruits

jae on the other side pops up once in a blue moon to play guitar, do shit, then disappears

don’t worry ever since jae starts dating the newest member who happens to be wonpil’s bestie he’s more active now

honestly more than half of their club members joined because wonpil made them to

he’s persuasive and convincing okay you would end up eating rocks if he told you it’s good for health

but he’ll never do that ever bc he speaks no lies okay he’s like the sweetest person in the earth

he’ll cry by the sight of cute puppies, do i have to explain further

wonpil was nominated as the club president but the other candidate park sungjin who’s also his roommate beat him by one vote

well he prefers to be just regular member anyway, that way he can still do a lot of things for the club but with less responsibilities

you see he’s really nice, he’s caring, he’s hardworking, he’s confident, he knows how to present himself and he’s hella attractive

anyway his roommate aka sungjin asked him if he could go buy him a double shot espresso so wonpil did

he rarely visits coffee shops tbh and when he does he always orders vanilla latte with extra syrup for himself

wonpil seems to be that kinda person who tries to enjoy coffee but can’t handle the bitter taste its so frickin cute and trust me you think so too

so anywayyyy yeah he never saw you, aka the new barista, before

it was ur first work day as well btw and he was ur first customer

he didn’t know why but watching you being nervous made him nervous too

just imagine a stuttering costumer and a stuttering barista

everyone watched you two with anxiety

but even when wonpil was a nervous wreck he didn’t forget to smile and before leaving he said to you, “thanks, have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!”

honest to god it made your whole day better

anyway let’s move on to the second meeting

he comes back and this time he orders a vanilla latte, but being the clumsy ass that you are, you slightly confused his order

he receives his coffee and takes a sip and he freezes

It wasn’t until she had turned her back that it hit him how harsh his words had really been. What made it even worse was the fact that he could hear her small sobs. Don’t get me wrong he was known to be a ruthless man but never to those who didn’t deserve it. He never would hurt an innocent person.......but yet here you were crying beside him.

Maybe that’s why he felt bad.... because he realized that you were just an innocent person who got caught in a bad situation.

This was new to him just like it was for you.

All he could do was look at your figure and wonder how this was going to work.

Next Morning

(Y/N) POV

You don’t remember when you finally fell asleep but it wasn’t shocking to wake up and find an empty bed.

“Figures he’d be gone already.” You said to yourself.

Afterwards you showered and made yourself somewhat presentable but not before your stomach made the most inhuman noise you’d ever heard.

Obviously you were hungry.

“Welp there’s nothing in here to eat so might as well go see what I find cause starving is definitely not gonna happen.”

As you were heading out the door you noticed a little note on the nightstand.

“We have an event to go to tonight. Be ready by 7...it’s formal”

Walking downstairs you made your way to the kitchen to see what you could make to calm the monster that was your stomach.

“Hmmmm what am i about to stuff my face with?” You say as you were going through the fridge.

“Anything I can help with?”

“HOLY SHIZ SEONHWA you scared me half to death.”

“sorry bout that.” She said while trying to contain the the huge grin from spreading across her face.

“If you’re so sorry why are you trying not to laugh hmmmm”

“You’re face was priceless.”

“Ew I can only imagine what my face looked like.” You say giving her a warm smile.

“Anyway is there something I could possibly get you?”

“You wouldn’t happen to have chorizo would you?”

She looked at you with a puzzled face giving you the answer you were dreading.

“That’s ok. Anything is fine I’m not picky.”

“Alright I’ll get started on it.”

You sat there with her as she cooked making small talk. Even though you just got to your new “home” you knew that you probably would have gone crazy if it weren’t for her being so welcoming. You were beyond grateful for her at this moment.

“Do you need me to help you with getting ready for tonight?” She said which brought you right back to earth.

“Ahhhh so Im assuming he told you to help me right?”

“He did.”

“Makes sense I suppose....have to keep up appearances....that’s what I’m here for.“

“I don’t think that’s the only reason.”

“Whether it is or isn’t only he knows. But i don’t have anything to wear for that type of event. Got any ideas on what to do? “

“He’s known about the event for awhile so he’s already gone ahead and picked out a gown for you for tonight. All you need to worry about is hair and makeup and I can help you with that if you would like.”

“I honestly think I would have already lost my mind if you weren’t here.”

“Seonhwa idk if we can be friends anymore”

“What makes you say that?”

“My grandma always told me to stay away from brujería and that’s what you just did cause no way that’s me in the mirror.”

“You’re being dramatic. You look amazing.”

Still shocked you look back in the mirror. Not trying to be conceited but the woman who looked back at you....she was gorgeous. Your dark brown hair had been curled and that seamlessly fell down your shoulders. Makeup was subtle with a very easy Smokey eye but dramatic red lipstick.

“Alright now for the dress.”

“I’m curious of two things. One did he pick a dress for me without me giving him my size and second what could he have picked?”

While you were saying these things seonhwa had gone to the closet to grab the dress. When she came back you had to gather your jaw from the floor.

“Wtf. It’s beautiful.”

It was a simple yet beautiful sequin dress with a low cut and spaghetti straps and a slit that came up about mid thigh.

“Shall we put it on?”

“I suppose so he should be here any minute.”

With that you slipped on the dress and to your surprise it fit completely to your body in the most perfect way.

“Damnit!”

“What’s wrong?”

“As much as I hate to admit it. He did really good with this dress. This dress has me feeling like a bad bitch that can take on the world.”

“I’m glad you liked the dress.”

You hadn’t even noticed that Namjoon had entered the room so when he decided to make his presence known you almost jumped out of your skin.

“Seonhwa i appreciate you helping my wife prepare for tonight. You’re free to go home whenever.”

“Yes Mr. Kim I’ll go ahead and grab my things and I’ll see you both tomorrow.”

“That’s not necessary. Please enjoy you’re weekend. I’ll see you Monday morning.”

With that she bowed and headed out the door. As soon as she was gone he turned to you and looked you over from head to toe.

“You look very nice.”

“Ermmmm....thank you.”

“Is it true what you said?”

“In regards to what exactly?”

“This dress making you feel like a bad bitch I do believe we’re your exact words.”

OH. MY. GOD. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Self we have got to start watching what we say out loud. In this very moment if the universe decided to swallow you whole you honestly wouldn’t even be mad.

“Uh I mean I guess you could say that.” Feeling yourself blush you try not to face him. This was beyond embarrassing and he knew it.

“Is that not what you said?”

“I mean yes it was but still...you know you didn’t have to repeat it.”

He gave you a small smile. For a second you thought he was trying not to laugh. This was the first time you had seen him be anything but cold but as quick as it happened it was gone.

“Well I hope that this dress gives you that confidence because you’re going to need it.”

“Why do you say that.” Instantly you feel defensive but you knew he wasn’t trying to make a snark comment at you. He was simply giving you a warning.

“These people are going to try to get to you for the reason that you’re my wife. I will try to be by your side and guide you through the night but there will be times when I can’t be right there with you......I’m telling you this because there will be people who try to get to you I want you to understand this and be prepared.....Do you understand?”

Once again you found you brain going a million miles an hour.

“I can do this.” You said more as a reassurance to yourself.

“I believe you.” Was all he said as he extended his arm out to you.

“Shall we go?”

You didn’t know why but you found a sense of reassurance as you linked your arm with his.

“Let’s go.”

Eternal Purgatory: Chapter one

Welcome to AU

Today marks the worst day of my life, joining a frat. My dumbass dad is forcing me cause I can't stand to alone forever in my room with my books and writing, even going as far as to take my tuition away if I don’t. my name is Christopher Matthews and I come from a long line of assholes controlling the mass market of industry, and as the next head of the family corporation, he expects me to be part of his alma mater and brotherhood. God do I wish for death right about now.

Christopher begins talking on the phone with his father

“dad you can’t be fucking serious about this, they want me in an initiation and you know frat guys will do something really heinous and I don’t think I can handle that.”

Christopher’s father Joseph talks to him pretty pissed off about the situation.

“Oh I’m so sorry that I’m paying for college while you spend all your time writing those weird stories and keeping yourself locked from the outside world. Get over yourself, you have to venture out on your own and get used to society, how else are you going to take over the company?” Chris responds

“Yeah that’s right dad I got to do everything you want, no use in arguing with it anyhow, I know your minds made up, but rest assured I don’t condone this and something will happen, I know it.” Joseph on the other end

“Jesus Christ again with you bitching about taking risks, hows about you stop trying to be such a little bitch and do as your told, not that you ever proved yourself before.” Chris sighs before hanging up

“Love you too dad.”

Chris looks outside his window seeing a bunch of people crowding around in frat sweatshirts and gets a knock on his door.

Chris rolling his eyes

“gee I wonder who it could possibly be, not that I would know.”

As he opens the door a bunch of guys rush him placing a bag over his head dragging him off. As he has the bag taken off his head, he finds himself feeling bitter cold and notices they are in the basement of the dining hall on campus. The frat guys come forth and welcome chris and several other young college students to the freezer.

Frat guy

“welcome maggots to the initiation, tonight you venture into the freezer for one hour wearing only your skivvies and when the hours up, you’re going to be brothers.”

Chris glares at them and asks

“So you want us to strip down and go into freezing cold as you guys get drunk and wait?” Frat guy

“yes that’s exactly what we want.” Chris strips off his clothes and walks in flipping off one of the frat guys staring at him

“Yeah I know I’m covered in scars get over it, just let us out when your done waiting.” Frat guy

“okay just for that kid, two hours for you”

Chris thinking to himself.

“Yeah I’ll be waiting with bells on.”

Chris looks at his watch as he shivers in the cold, noticing it’s been well over two hours and the frat brothers haven’t come for him. More time passes and Chris notices the lock turning, showing that the dining hall has been closed. Shivering in the back, Chris contemplates what he said and knew the brothers forgot about him and he told his dad so about the risks to going for the brotherhood.

“I told that asshole, I told him I didn’t want to do it, but he made me anyways, god I’m fucking freezing.” As Chris finishes thinking he closes his eyes waiting for help.

As he awakens he notices hes in his boxers in the quad and looks around

“huh, guess I was able to make it out after all, I wonder who let me…, this is not my campus”

Chris looks around quite a bit more seeing different toned people walking around heading to classes glaring at him

“What the hell, it’s not even Halloween, what’s up with the floating and scarred people… oh fuck I’m dreaming.”

As Chris ducts into the bushes he notices a set of feet walking towards him and the person is wearing gold boots that are bejeweled and stands waiting for him to come out.

“Its okay, you can come out, there isn’t anything to be afraid of.” Chris crawls out of the bushes and notices a hulking man with piercing blue eyes and blonde hair slicked back in gold armor carrying a straight sword on his back and lending his hand out to help Chris up. Chris looks at him and immediately questions everything

Chris blinking and seeing if its all true

“okay did I stumble to a renassaince fair, cause your in armor and carrying a qhat I can only presume is the blade Excalibur, nice workmanship btw.” The man stares back at him and shakes his head.

“young man I am Dean Arthur, and this is not a replica of Excalibur, it’s the real thing, your in purgatory.” Chris’s eyes widen and looks around.

“so I’m dead, your king Arthur, and this place is a school.” Arthur

“Yes you died before your time came and so you will continue your education here, at Afterlife University.” Chris sighs and face palms contemplating the situation.

“good god I am in an never ending hell.” Arthur brings chris to his office registering him for classes as chris looks outside and sees a fat guy smoking a bowl outside the window. Arthur looks out and opens yelling at the young man.

“Mr. Stone, I have told you repeatedly no marijuana on the campus, recreational use may be legal, but only off school grounds.” Mr. Stone puts out the bowl exhaling his smoke in the air.

“Sorry, I keep forgetting, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind but had a test coming up and the nerves you know.”

Arthur looks at him getting annoyed.

“my boy, your so bright but yet your careless and lazy, why not be more like the new student, straight A’s and responsible.” Chris looks at Arthur and raising his eyebrow.

“actually after all the stuff that just happened, I could go for some of that.” Stone looks at him up and down.

“honestly dude, I can set you up with my dealer, hes super chill, but maybe get some clothes first.” Chris looks down at himself wearing only his boxers.

“Oh god that’s right, anyway I can get some pants.” Arthur looking at him in embarrassment.

“Apologies I didn’t expect this to happen, most come to purgatory with clothes on.” Chris with a blank expression

“well I didn’t, so get me some clothes before I freeze to death, again.” Arthur gets Chris a blue flannel shirt with a pair of brown cargo pants and has him change. After getting clean clothes on Chris is given a registration number for classes and an address for his housing off campus. Arthur tells him that he is going to meet a lot of nice people around but to be wary of a few unwanted figures. As he walks he notices a bunch of game characters, historical figures, and even people from canceled tv shows hanging around.

Chris looks onward to see everything around him from the students to the teachers

“Huh, so everything that dies comes here, even fandoms, that explains a lot.”

As he walks he suddenly bumps into a chubby goth boy with a black goatee and wearing a dark maroon flannel and jeans.

The boy he bumps into looks at him.

“geez man could you be anymore clumsy.”

Chris dusts himself off and looks back at the young man who looks upset.

“apologies, im new and I gotta get used to things around here.” The young man looks back at him glaring up and down.

“Whatever country boy, just watch your step.”

Chris questioning what he meant.

“do you mean you’ll hurt me, cause I won’t take that lying down.” The young man widens his eyes responding.

“oh no I mean watch your literal step, if you don’t focus, youll fall down the stairs over there.” Chris looks at the spiraling staircase going off campus and sees the point.

“Oh thanks, again im sorry to bump into you but I gotta go move in to my new place.”

as he walks away the young man in the maroon flannel covers his pants with his books.

“damn it hes cute.” An incarnation of link from legend of Zelda comes over seeing what occurred.

“so Brendan, got a nice little surprise there.”

As Chris reaches the house he looks at his cargo pants that tore lightly.

“that chubby goth boy owes me a new pair, or a date.” as he opens the door he notices the same fat guy who smoked a bowl outside Arthurs and another man who comes in wearing a Naruto headband and a Tokyo ghoul mask over his face. Stone walks over and offers chris a joint and a shot of rum to welcome him to the home.

“hey there, im paul and this is Robby, looks like you’re the new roommate, your rooms down the hall next to mine, just clean up after yourself and don’t touch my stash.” Chris shakes his hand taking the joint and lighting it up.

“trust me, thank you so much for this I cant believe the day I’ve had, I don’t think I need any more surprises”

Robby takes the mask off tripping over some stacks of naruto manga trying to talk.

Chris looks down at him and sees if hes alright.

“so is this something you get used to at all.” Paul takes a controller out and begins playing call of duty.

“not a chance, just happy to have two new moneymakers in the house.” Chris helps Robby up only to quickly turn around.

“What do you mean two moneymakers.”

Paul just playing his game answering,

“don’t worry about it.”

The door opens to reveal a young woman wearing a pale green tee-shirt, black jeans and brown hair tied in a ponytail walking in.

“well, this is the address and it looks like… OH MY GOD.”

Chris’s eyes bulge out of his sockets and stares at the girl.

“HELEN!!!” “CHRIS!”

The two stare at each other and watch as a robed figure comes out with a clipboard. Checking some papers for the day.

“Paul, can you tell me when the new students arrive…. Oh their here, hmm as yes Christopher Matthews age 22, died of frostbite, Helen Monroe, age 24, died of accidental overdose, my names reefer welcome to the house, er are you listening.

The two of them glare at each other only to say the same thing as they contemplate the situation.

“I’m gonna fucking kill dad.”

New year thingy late af as usual

SO. I KNOW IM LATE. NEW YEAR WAS 3 DAYS AGO. but you’ll forgive me because you all love me ( right ?? ) anyway!! I’ve been in this fandom (on tumblr) for approximately 4 months and while I’ve got ups and downs getting into that whole tumblr business, you all have been incredible! Both my followers and my roleplay partners and anyone who ever interacted with me! I would do a follow forever list but it would be hypocritical of me since I have a toc that makes me unfollow people who are inactive after 2+ weeks (unless my biased little ass waits a month because they’re a doflamingo or another muse I REALLY enjoy) so, instead of lying and pretending I’ll never unfollow anyone, I’m gonna make a small thingy for the people I’ve met and who (bless their ass) have made my days so incredible since I joined!

To be completely honest, Law isn’t even a character I enjoy that much in the One Piece universe, I felt like I was let down post-war and my tiny gay heart still wishes he tampered with Luffy’s body and reveal himself a villain later on ---- but that’s just me. In any case, any time I read you on my dash, my mind is blown with how in character you are. All your threads are amazing and even the one we have started I really love! If anything, you might have rekindled my interest in his character because of how great you are ( I see your Law as even better than the canon one, if that makes sense ). The insights you give about your muse are so detailed and heartfelt I cannot possibly not like your portrayal. I know we didn’t talk ooc but as far as I’m concerned, someone who writes such a « real » muse cannot be anything but awesome. Bless you, I hope you have a great year <3

I told you many times, I’m not fan of characters who are related to canon but in Akane’s case I just??? completely forget about it lmao. Because her personality is so rich, so flavorful I cannot do anything but express my love for her. Your OC is, in my opinion, one of the realest , most heartfelt original character in this fandom. Sorry, I don’t mean to depreciate anyone but I just really really really really love Akane. I love a LOT of other OCS but the dynamic between Akane and my muses is just too good for me to ignore. Even with Noya jfc. She’s the kind of character that can pretty much interact with anyone, she would be a very canon One Piece character too, in my opinion. I hope no one feels left out because I said that, my love for your muses is strong and Akane just has a special place in my heart <3

I’ve always been turned off to rp with Vivi in general because of all those self-inserting mary sues I’ve met and I was reluctant at first to interact with you because of that but you BRING HER TO LIFE instead of bringing your life into her, which I cannot thank you enough for. Pretty Little Liars Recap: Confessions Of A Mid-20’s Drama Queen

Welcome back to another week where I sit through my own personal hell, aka , and try not to put myself into an alcohol-induced coma. And shoutout to all the keyboard warriors who love to type shit in the commentsyall take this show way too seriously.

We start with Mona and Emily discussing Charlotte, who apparently stood Mona up the night of the murder. What kind of loser gets stood up by another chick at a shitty diner?

Emily is like and Monas like, uh no? I feel like thats pretty much the only answer you can give at that point. Emily figures that Mona changed her mind in the trial so that Charlotte would be out of jail and Mona could get to her, which is like real far-fetched.

Monas like *what would you do if your son was at home, cryin all alone on the bedroom floor.* and Ems like Monas like, well even if I wanted to kill her, she fucking stood me up so yeah. Of course, this whole conversation is overheard by A.

Aria is like,lets tell the police it wasnt me at the diner! Arias really seen some shit lately. She got burnt and questioned by the police. All Hannas had done to her is getting shitty room service food with a cryptic note. Spencer is like,

Lucas is back. Goddammit. Anyways, he overhears Hanna talking to weird ass Jordan on the phone, and is like Hannas like, Where are you gonna seat him Han? No one wants to sit next to the virginal weird kid from high school. You cant just mix the band geeks with the Plastics, thats not how this works.

Besides, there is this scenario:

Hanna is like, . Wear those ties Lucas, you look like a second place winner at a science fair. He tells Hanna that hes thinking of buying some factory and giving Rosewood a second chance. LOL rookie mistake.

Ali and Snaggletooth are being sexually aggressive in some shit bed and breakfast somewhere in bumfuck nowhere, East Coast. The Ali from Season 3 would have been honeymooning in fucking Paris rn. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Speaking of falling, Ali trips on her skanky heel and takes a tumble down the stairs, effectively knocking herself out. OKAY, did I not set that up just perfectly?

Alis in the hospital with a concussion, and Snaggle is like, you need to stay in the hospital. Shes like and its like, because thats how injuries work dumbass. The manager of the shit hotel is like and its like duh you know that shit is tampered with.

Ali: I was really happy before I fell, maybe this is my karma Snaggle: Thats not how the Universe works

ARE YOU SURE? Because pretty sure its an established fact that what goes up, must come down. Also, Ali its not karma, you just clearly dont know how to put one foot in front of the other and walk like a normal fucking human.

Snaggle is like, its an accident and he would know all about those, since his face looks like it was a victim of a tragic lawn mower accident. Ali decides to text her friends a selfie of her in the hospital, because concussion photoshoots, so hot right now.

All the Liars are like . They have 3 days to give up the murderer, because A is a psycho. All the girls are shit talking Mona and Hanna comes to her defense, because Hanna is like, such a good friend.

Aria and Ezra are getting ready to go to a dinner with their boss and Ezras talking about how he doesnt like the book ending or some shit. Arias like and that shit is about to go from an Ernest Hemingway to a really quick with Ezras freaky self.

Hanna goes to visit Ali in the hospital and Ali tells her she is going back to Rosewood when she can gtfo of this hospital. Ali has flowers all over the room, because apparently people like her, wtf?, and Ali says that they are all from Snaggle.

Of course, Hanna is looking at all the flowers and sees a very creepy card that has pictures of a staircase, and all of them on it. Either Snaggle is one fucked up dude, or A is just like, really a dick. Honestly, probs both. Obvi, Hanna steals the card.

Emily facetimes Spencer a video of Mona and Sara Harveys body guard dude chatting it up. Weve all seen , Im expecting some bodyguard three-way action ASAP. Also, how did Emily even remember that body guard? I watch this show every fucking week and make it a point to write down every flaw they have, and even I didnt remember this. Wow, I need to get it together.

Also, them talking looks like any relationship I have ever had: Mona talking shit and the dude sitting there looking awkward. Spencer and Emily follow the bodyguard when he leaves.

Back to Snaggle and Hans. Hanna is like, And Snaggle is like, Im sure you said the same thing about that B and B, you human chipmunk. Hes like and its like cough, cough, lesbianssssss.

Spencer and Emily follow the bodyguard and act like idiots on crack and pretend to hit the bodyguards car. Hes like uhhhh no its fine, and Spencer somehow manages to get information on the papers he is holding. I have seen better body guarding by the fucking preteens in Project X. Seriously who is this dude?

Spencer learns that the documents our shit security guard has are blueprints to Radley, because of fucking course. Do they just hand out blueprints willy nilly in this town? God I hate myself every time I watch this stupid fucking show.

Aria is reading Ezras newest chapter and it flashes back to a conversation with Ezra and Nicole. Ezra is begging Nicole to come with him, but shes like

Anyways, Ezra goes to his typical EZRA MAD, EZRA SMASH mode and basically yells at her and leaves fucking pissed off. And yeah, thats the last time he saw his girlfriend. One girlfriend you took advantage of when she was a teenager, the other you let get kidnapped by terrorists. Let that soak in.

Hes like , and Arias like,

Emily follows the bodyguard to a fucking ice cream truck? Wtf? And hes just casually sitting there, licking a Drumstick, when Sara Harvey drives up and gets something from him. Wait a second, she cant text and grip shit because of her hands, but she can drive? The streets of Rosewood are not safe. Maybe she was the girl who tried to run over Emily at the diner. She wasnt really trying to run her over, she was just making a very sloppy three point turn.

Hanna shows Caleb the staircase card. Caleb is like why did you come to me? And Hanna is like They decide to call As bluff, because that plan has worked every time before.

Spencer is on the phone with Emily, when she is greeted by her boyfriend and his ex. What a time to be alive. They act super weird, and then Hanna makes up some bullshit story about how she killed Charlotte. She starts crying to Spencer and Spencer is like YOOOOO THIS IS HEAVY SHIT.
