“Lena? Lena, baby, is that you?” You called out, turning the stove off as you sped-walked to the door. You received no answer, but when you turned the corner you saw Yelena standing there, shoulders heavy and a frown on her face. She looked down, dropping her bag before you engulfed her in a hug, eyebrows furrowing when you didn’t feel her return it.
“Hey, hey,” You leaned back, cupping her cheeks and forcing her to return your worried gaze. “Talk to me, sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Her cheeks hollowed as her eyes remained on the wall behind you, tears grazing them. You took the sign and sighed, guiding her to the couch where she instantly crawled into you. Her legs crossed yours, her arms wrapping around your shoulders as you heard silent sniffles.
“Do you want to talk about it?” You rubbed her thigh soothingly, kissing her forehead after she shook her head slowly.
“That’s okay, we can just sit right here. Is there anything you want, baby?” She shook her head once more, her body shaking in small shivers.
“Oh, you must be so cold. Here, take this.” You wrapped a blanket around her, continuing to rub her skin to create further warmth. She was shaking less, but you could feel her heartbeat thumping rapidly. Your fingers threaded through her soft hair that felt dry and unwashed.
“When was the last time you had a shower, Lena?” She shrugged, and you wondered if she had blinked at all this entire time.
“Alright, we can wait here for a few minutes and then we need to get you in the shower.” The few minutes flew by faster than she thought and soon enough you were easing her into the bathroom. She stopped you, muttering a few soft words that you were unable to understand, leading her to repeat them as you asked.
“I don’ want a shower,” She stumbled over her sentence. “I wan’ to play with- with the bubbles.” You chuckled at her playful wishes and led her to sit on the edge of the bathtub, turning the knob as water began to flow out. Yelena watched with a grin, clasping her hands together as her leg continued to bounce under your soft caressing.
“You ready to get in, love? C’mon, I’ll go grab your toys.” She waited patiently for you to return, recognizing the items in your hands instantly as the excitement brewed. The reconciliation from earlier seemed to begin to fade as she focused on her Mommy, her lover.
“There you go, are you comfy? Yeah? Good, good.” You spoke as she lowered herself into the warm water, sighing in relief as she felt her sore muscles start to ease. You rubbed her shoulders when noticing this, causing her to squirm as you brought your lips to her neck in teasing kisses. You gathered soap in your hands, letting them run over her body as she traced her finger through the bubbles. Her rubber duck dipped under the water before splashing its way to a return. She giggled every time, and you only stared in admiration.
“You’re so cute, Lena girl.” Her cheeks darkened, her eyes squeezing shut while her nose scrunched as you brushed a hair out of her face. You pecked her forehead twice, the second lingering a moment too long before you leaned back to meet her gaze, your eyes softening as you saw nothing behind them. There was no thought in her head, and you were relieved you got to bring her to a place of such peace.
“Alright, you ready for bedtime, hm? You tired, honey?” She nodded, reaching out to grapple onto your shoulders, her teeth taking her tongue in a deep bite, but she seemed unfazed. You helped her dry off, ruffling her hair and causing the wet locks to become less damp. You ushered her into the panda pajamas she picked out one evening during your online shopping trip before helping her brush her teeth, your lips landing on her shoulders every few moments as reassurance. She gave you a cheery smile once finished, letting you lead her back into the bedroom where she leaped onto the soft mattress. She tossed the blankets over her body as you followed, sitting next to her as she placed her head on your chest. She listened to your heartbeat, drawing small hearts over the skin as goosebumps ran through you.
“Mommy?” Her small, hushed voice came into play. You turned your head to look at her, worry ranking your expression. “Can…can I, uhm,” She poked your breasts softly, running her short fingernails against your nipples, causing the peaks to harden. She giggled at the imprint forming, teasing your shirt down slowly in case she received denial from your end.
“Of course, you can.” You led her face closer by holding the back of her neck, sighing as her tongue teased you. You bit your lip, running your fingers through her hair as she hummed, the soft skin rubbing against her cheek and creating a warm, fuzzy feeling to erupt inside of her. She squirmed, letting the small flood of milk graciously travel down her throat as her knee butted against your core. You moaned from the contact, squeezing your eyes shut as she looked up at you with curious eyes.
“Did I do something wrong, Mommy?” You shook your head, trapping her knee between your thighs as you brought your hips to create a thrusting motion. She blushed, returning her mouth to your skin. You mumbled small praises, chuckling at the whimpers she let out. She began grinding her knee into your heat, her eyes nervously meeting yours in hopes of approval. Your lewd sounds proved her question right, leading her to grin around you. She always loved to please her Mommy, you deserved it after all you do for her.
“That’s it- ah! Mommy’s gonna cum…Mommy’s gonna fucking cum, baby!” Her eyes widened at your derogatory language, her brain instantly switching as she drank in your sweet milk. You choked up a moan, your body twitching as your orgasm rushed through you. You cried out in pleasure, keeping her head close as her eyes continued to grow heavy.
“Mommy-“
“Shh, just- fuck!” You dragged out. “That’s- it! Oh, yes, that’s my good fucking girl, such a good little puppy.” She wrapped her arms around your waist, teasing her teeth over the sensitive bud. You gasped, tugging on her hair lightly in response, leading her to whimper around you and bringing vibrations through your entire being.
“Oh, Mommy got you so, so messy, love!” You examined her slick-covered thigh that glistened under the small lamp with interest, causing her to follow your eye-sight and spot the same. Your body started to calm, although your chest continued to heave in small pants.
“Why don’t you let me clean that up for you, yeah?” She shook her head, clenching her thighs together as you tried prying them apart.
“Lena, don’t be mean to Mommy, I just want to taste you.” You licked the leftover stains of pleasure before inching closer to her heat where you could nearly smell the arousal.
“You’ve already ruined your little shorts, it’s probably best if we take these off. C’mon, don’t make me sad.” You pouted falsely, smirking to yourself once she complied in fear of upsetting you. She grabbed your hand in a hurry, leading it to her core as she nervously parted her legs. You finally removed the article of clothing, causing the cold air to breeze against her skin.
“Tickles, Mommy.” You chuckled, kissing her swollen clit with desire. She gasped, clasping her hands onto the pillows beneath her before you took one, interlacing your fingers together to calm her nerves.
“Don’t be nervous, Mommy is going to make all those tingly feelings go away.”

In the last few weeks, you and Yelena have become closer to each other. You spent a lot of time together and your crush on her grew because of that. She often visited you at the compound or you drove to her apartment. Spending time together also distracted you from worrying about Natasha and Bucky since they were both on a long and difficult mission. Even though you knew you didn’t have to worry about Bucky, you couldn’t help it because he’s your best friend. And Natasha is also one of the best assassins out there, probably even the best, but since Yelena is her sister, she can’t help it either.
So, for the past few weeks you’ve been watching movies or TV shows, visiting some places in New York that Yelena hasn’t seen yet and wanted to see, and when you found out that Yelena can only cook mac and cheese, you had to change that and asked if she would like to cook something with you. You had a lot of fun and Yelena started to really enjoy cooking with you. Yelena and you also really enjoyed being outside at night and watching the stars. Sometimes Yelena would fall asleep almost cuddling with you and resting her head on your chest. This also happened when you had movie nights together, and you loved when that happened.
You love hanging out with Yelena. You love everything about it. Her silly jokes, her sarcastic comments, her laughter, sitting close to each other and having a deep conversation late into the night.
The other Avengers who weren’t on a mission all noticed how close you were. Wanda always smiling at you both and Clint was also very happy that you were having fun together.
You were currently sitting on the couch in the living room at the compound and were discussing what you wanted to watch this time.
“So, what do you want to watch?” You asked as you opened Netflix.
“What would you suggest?” She asked shyly and you smiled at her.
“Hmm, let me think.” You said, looking at your movie watchlist you had on Netflix.
“What about this one? It’s called ‘Little Women’, and I really liked it the first time I saw it.”
“Okay, let’s watch that.” She said and you started to giggle.
“What?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Maybe you should know that there is an actress in this movie who looks a lot like you.”
“Is that why you like this movie?” Yelena said, starting to blush.
“Maybe” You teased.
“Okay...umm, let’s just watch the movie.” Yelena said quietly and you started the movie.
After a while you sat very close to each other, and rested your head on her shoulder while you watched the movie. You were so distracted by the movie that you didn’t even hear the Quinjet land at the compound. You didn’t even notice the elevator door opening behind you.
“Hey you two.” You suddenly heard Natasha say. You both quickly moved away from each other and turned around. You started to smile when you saw Bucky standing there. You got up from the couch and ran to Bucky.
“I’m so glad you’re back safely.”
“I missed you.” Bucky said and wrapped his arms around you. As you hugged him, you heard Yelena walk towards Natasha.
“You’re back sestra! “Yelena said and hugged Natasha.
You decided to let them take a shower, while you finished the movie. After you all had dinner together, Bucky and Natsha told the others about the successful mission. Then Steve suggested to watch a movie. After the movie ended, you went to your room. You had only been there a few minutes when you heard a knock on your door.
“Come in.” You said and Bucky opened the door.
“Hey.” He said with a smile.
“Hey, Buck.” You said, walking up to him with a smile.
“I thought I’d come to you to hear what I missed while I was away.”
“Sure, come on, let’s sit down.” You said and walked over to your bed. Bucky sat down next to you, and you smiled at him.
“So, what do you want to know?”
“Isn’t there something you want to tell me?”
“I don’t know what you mean, Buck?” You said and Bucky chuckled.
“When were you going to tell me that you and Yelena are finally a couple?” Bucky said and you were confused now.
“What no me and Yelena are just friends.”
“You’re kidding right?” Bucky said and you just shook your head, not knowing what to say.
“Yelena looks at you like you’re her entire world.”
“What?” You said nervously.
“It’s so obvious that Yelena likes you too. The way she looks at you tells everything.”
“Are you sure, Buck?”
“Definitely.” You smiled and started telling Bucky everything he missed and how you and Yelena became so close.
“Please promise me that you will tell Yelena about your feelings for her.”
“Okay, I promise, but I don’t know how.”
“Just tell her how you feel and what she means to you.”
“Thanks, Buck. You’re the best.” Bucky started to smile and pulled you closer with his metal arm. You talked for a few more minutes when Bucky decided to look for Steve.
Three days have passed since Bucky and Natasha returned from the mission. You were watching a movie with Bucky, Steve, Natasha, Wanda and Yelena. After the movie ended you talked for a few more minutes until Bucky suddenly said.
“I think I’m heading to my room, I’m already tired.” He said and looked at Steve.
“Yeah, me too.”
“Okay, goodnight, Grandpas.” Natasha said, making the others laugh while Bucky and Steve looked at her annoyed. Before Bucky left the room, he winked at you. Natasha and Wanda stayed for a few minutes and then decided to leave as well. So, now you were alone with Yelena.
“Do you want to watch something?” She asked and you nodded, but then had to think about what Bucky had said. Now was the opportunity to tell Yelena.
“Well, actually there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while.”
“Of course, go for it.” She said but sounded a little nervous.
“Well, how do I start…” You took a deep breath and Yelena smiled softly at you.
“Yelena, I like you a lot and not just as a friend. My day always gets better when I see you…you mean so much to me.”
“Oh, Y/n, I can’t believe you’re saying that because I feel the same way about you.” She said, making you smile.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I was just too shy to tell you and wasn’t sure if you feel the same way, especially because of my past.” Yelena said, looking away for a second, but then back at you.
“Hey, I know you’ve been through a lot and that doesn’t change anything. I love you for who you are.”
“Thank you for saying that, it means so much to me.”
“So, what are we doing on our first date?” You asked and her smile started to grow, and she spoke, “I think I already have an idea.”
You were so glad that Yelena feels the same way and you can’t wait to see what idea she has for your first date.

The steady beeps and flow of your breathing through a mask seemed loud in Yelena’s ears as she sat by your side. She had hardly moved in the days you had occupied the hospital bed, even pacing outside the operating theatres for the long hours you spent in there. The blonde had been told by nurses, doctors, Natasha and Kate that it would do her a lot of good to go home and get some rest, that you would be closely monitored when she wasn’t there. Yet Yelena couldn’t bring herself to so much as leave the ward.
“She’s stable, but right now our main concern is what her mobility will be like when she wakes up given the damage to her legs and back. It’s hard to predict at this time,” the doctor told Natasha as the pair stood outside of your room.
“When will she wake up?” The redhead asked as looked through the window to where Yelena had fallen asleep on the chair. Her neck would be sore when she woke up.
  “Whenever she’s ready.”
“Okay, thank you,” Natasha nodded, understanding that there wasn’t much more they could do for you at that moment in time apart from administering the right medication. The rest was down to you.
Natasha winced as she watched her sister suddenly jolt awake from her brief sleep. She rubbed the side of her neck as she brought her chair slightly closer to your bed and examined the monitors for a few moments for anything different. The redhead had been trying to give Yelena some space in the previous days given that she wasn’t accepting anyone's company except for yours, but Natasha knew it wasn’t healthy to let her sister carry on alone.
She knocked on the door gently before she entered, giving Yelena a small smile she didn’t get back. Natasha pulled up the spare chair next to the blonde, sitting in silence for a few minutes as she took in your state. You were better, though the damage was still prominent.
“Kate wants to come and see her,” Natasha finally said.
“No one’s stopping her,” Yelena was quick to say.
“You don’t seem to like anyone else being in here,” the redhead commented. Yelena didn’t respond. It was somewhat true. “You can’t shut everyone out, Yelena.”
“Why did you not want us to be together?” The blonde asked as she watched the steady rise and fall of your chest. Natasha followed her eyeline, knowing Yelena was going to ask that question sooner or later.
“It’s not that I didn’t want it to happen, I just wanted you both to be careful,” Natasha sighed. “You’re new to relationships and y/n’s only seen the bad side to them. That doesn’t make you incompatible but I thought you both would’ve seen the sense in going slow instead of skipping straight to sex.” Yelena listened carefully to her sister, understanding her point. It made sense in hindsight, as most things did, though at the time there had been a part of both of you that knew it too.
“And besides, I thought you guys would tell me about something like that. I never expected you to think you had to sneak around and hide it from me. You should never have to keep something like that a secret, especially from your sister,” Natasha explained clearly as she looked at Yelena who nodded slowly.
“I wanted to tell you,” she whispered.
“I’m your sister but I’m her friend. I should’ve been looking out for both of you,” Natasha admitted.
“You’ll have the chance when she wakes up,” Yelena stated adamantly, not allowing anything to shake her belief that you would be okay.
  “Yeah,” Natasha agreed.
“You recognised Ruslana,” Yelena started slowly. “But not from the red room and not by her name. Who was she to y/n?” She asked, the question had been weighing on her since their meeting.
“As much as I wish it wasn’t true, she’s who she said she was,” Natasha said honestly. “It wasn’t a healthy relationship by any means, she had y/n do the hacking for the red room - not that anyone knew that at the time,” she explained.
  “She never told me that.”
  “She never told anyone.”
“I am glad I killed her,” Yelena said after a steady sigh.
“I’m glad you did too,” Natasha admitted. “Even if it was reckless,” she added. Yelena rolled her eyes but her sister didn’t miss the smile that settled on her lips. “I’m going to get you some lunch,” Natasha told her as she stood up. “I’ll get enough for Kate too.” Yelena nodded and pulled out her phone to text the young archer.
“I miss you,” Yelena told your sleeping form. “I wish I knew about Rae, maybe it would have helped. But I understand why you didn’t tell me,” she said. You took several supported breaths. “I wish I was more honest as well,” she admitted. “But we’ll have time for all that when you’re awake,” she said adamantly, though the continuous beeps from the machines attached to you worked to dig doubt into Yelena’s mind.
“Please wake up,” she whispered, her voice breaking as her eyes clouded. “I missed you so much, please don’t stay away much longer.”
*
The light was the first thing your brain registered when you woke up. It was far too bright, a painful contrast to the blanket of darkness you had rested under for the past week. You kept your eyes squeezed shut as you allowed the rest of your senses to adjust and take in your surroundings, the steady beeping next to you being too loud for one thing. The bed you were on was far more comfortable than your last one and the room was pleasantly cool, as though someone knew that was your preferred sleeping conditions.
The pain was the next thing you experienced and it made the discomfort of the lights jump to the back of your mind in comparison. It was everywhere and seemed to extend right into the centre of your bones without pity. Your skin felt as though it was tearing with every slight movement and the whimper you gave only scratched at your dry throat as you grasped at the bedsheets and stumbled upon a warm hand resting on your bed. You forced your eyes open just as Yelena did, meeting the grey orbs that you had hardly left your mind in your time apart. Your breath hitched as her features brightened at you.
“Hi,” she said as an anxious smile flickered across her lips.
“Hi,” you whispered, your throat protesting. Yelena grabbed the jug next to your bed and poured a glass of water, not hesitating to bring it up to your lips to aid you to take the water with steady sips until you had enough to ease the ache in your throat. “Thank you,” you said, unsure of how to even start on everything else you wanted to say. “Have you been here long?”
“I haven’t left,” she told you.
“How long has it been?” You frowned. “You must be tired.”
“I’m sure it is nothing compared to you,” Yelena said, noticing your pain. You glanced down at your covered body, unsure if you wanted to see what lied beneath. “I will get a doctor,” she announced but the moment she stood up you reached out for her wrist and held it tightly.
“Wait,” you said, not wanting to wait any longer to fix the regrets you had become all too aware of during your last consciousness. “I’m sorry,” you started but Yelena cut you off as she sat back down.
“Don’t say that,” she insisted, though it sounded like a plea. “I know you didn’t mean what you said at the party.”
“I just want to explain,” you winced.
“I read the letter,” she told you.
“Oh?” You remembered that letter vividly. “Right,” you nodded, recalling how it had ended. You hadn’t written that letter with the intention of recalling it to the blonde word for word, it was meant to be a guide to help you navigate your mind. You hadn’t planned for Yelena to be on that journey with you. So where did that leave you?
“Can I take you out some time?” Yelena suddenly asked with an air of uncertainty that you weren’t ever going to be used to seeing on her. Despite the pain, you smiled.
“I would like that,” you told her and saw her shoulders instantly relax. She shifted her wrist so that she could hold your hand in hers, a gesture that hadn’t lost any of its perfection. “Where do people usually go on first dates?” You asked with an easy grin that Yelena mirrored.
“I was hoping you would know,” she countered knowingly.
“Maybe a cat rescue centre?” You suggested. Yelena rolled her eyes and dropped your hand with a huff.
“Screw you,” she said, though it was clear she was suppressing a smile. You chuckled at the sight and felt a bloom of pain arise in your chest. “Can I get someone now?” You nodded, letting her go under the certainty that she would return.
You rested your head back and tried to focus on anything but the increasing pain across your body, remembering all too vividly how you had come by your injuries. You didn’t want to think about Rae, especially now that Yelena’s role in your life was finally beginning to feel more concrete, but your past had caught up to you in a way you couldn’t have ever anticipated.
Rae was a widow and nothing you ever had was real. You were just a means to an end for her to use to support what Yelena and Natasha had suffered from. You frowned, refusing to let yourself fall into that spiral of guilt that never did any good for anyone. Sure, you had indirectly caused harm, but with S.H.I.E.L.D and Yelena, you had played a significant part in helping the heroes and the later acts had been your choice. That was enough.
“Miss, l/n,” a doctor greeted as she stepped into the room with Yelena close behind. “How are you feeling?” She asked with a genuine smile.
“Bruised,” you undermined slightly in the blonde’s presence, not wanting her to know how bad the pain really was.
“We’ll increase your dosage so that you can be more comfortable,” she told you as she read your vitals and the information written out on the board above you. “Your body’s been through a lot,” she informed as she began to explain the numerous operations you had gone through and how your body was expected to recover, given the chance and what condition it was in at that time. “Could I ask you to raise your left leg?” She asked. You felt Yelena shift next to you as you strained to lift the heavy limb and succeeded, after several moments' effort, to get it a few inches above the bed and repeated it with the other. You were unable to raise either of them as high as you could prior to your injuries, but you were well aware of how lucky you were to be able to move it at all.
“That’s good to see,” the doctor told you honestly, withholding from the fact there had been great apprehension as to whether or not you would be able to accomplish the movement. “Can you try and sit on the edge of the bed with your feet over?” She continued though that proved to be harder. Your back burned in protest as you twisted it and you had to use your hands to help drag your legs across the mattress until they fell over the edge and you suddenly felt very unsure of your ability to support yourself. You gripped onto the bed as tight as you could while Yelena stood by your side with her arms outstretched ready to catch you should you fall.
“Now when you’re ready, see if you can stand up.” You breathed out and peered over the side of the bed with some apprehension. You suddenly felt quite high up. Tentatively, you pulled yourself closer to the edge until your feet hovered just an inch from the floor.
“I’ve got you,” Yelena reassured. You smiled at her with little confidence and finally pushed yourself off with a soft pat on the floor. You didn’t let go of the bedrail as you steadied yourself, leaning the majority of your body weight on the bed instead of your own two feet until you let go. You stood for several seconds unsupported until the muscles in your legs gave out beneath you. True to her word, Yelena caught you just as you toppled, hooking her arms underneath yours and immediately guiding you back to the bed where you sat in defeat. The doctor mentioned something about physiotherapy, but you weren’t really listening. Your legs were numb again, but it proved difficult to be too disheartened when you felt Yelena rub soothing circles on your waist as she listened to the doctor intently.
“And we’ll monitor your progress to see if you need any additional support,” the doctor said, noticing that she didn’t have your full attention.
  “Like what?” Yelena enquired.
“Leg braces can be of great help.” You nodded absently. You didn’t want a brace.
“Thank you,” you muttered towards the nurse, wanting the meeting to end. She seemed to take the cue and departed with a sympathetic smile. Once she closed the door behind her, you looked at the blonde and patted the space in the small bed behind you. A smile graced Yelena’s lips as she moved to the other side of the bed and you hauled your legs up again, settling on your side as she slipped in beside you. You didn’t waste a second in stretching your bandaged arms out around her as she did the same. It was easier to ignore the pain when it meant you were able to hold the blonde again and a small price to pay to feel her steady breathing above you.
“I will help you walk too,” Yelena told you with a certainty you always associated her with.
“Tomorrow,” you replied. “Let's just stay like this for now.” Though Yelena wanted to help you get better as quickly as possible, she couldn’t decline the offer to stay with you in the way she had been craving. Instead, she rested her chin on top of your head until you both fell into a peaceful slumber like you had numerous times before.
*
“Oh my god,” Kate rushed out once she stepped into the room.
“Hey,” you smiled at the sight of your best friend and sat up slightly.
“I can’t believe you did that!” She exclaimed. “That was so dumb!” She continued, giving you the same frantic look she did after drinking a dozen red bulls in order to get through a twenty four hour stake out. “That was so so dumb and I’m so mad at you,” she told you as she enveloped you in a tight hug and clambered onto the bed beside you. You chuckled with a wince you didn’t want the archer to see as her hands caught the edge of the strike on your back. “I’m so glad you’re okay,” she said as she held you tight.
“I won’t be if you keep squeezing the air out of me,” you told her with a grin. She pulled back with a start and gave you a sheepish smile.
“Sorry I just…you scared me,” she admitted. “I shouldn’t have left you alone. I’m so-”
“Don’t you dare,” you interrupted. “It was my choice to leave. It scared me when I thought they had you,” you pointed out, seeing the comfort Kate drew from your words. “Worthit though.”
“Really?” Kate frowned as she glanced at the different bandages across you.
“Yeah. The way I see it, I tried to save your ass so now you owe me so much pizza,” you shrugged and Kate began to grin.
“Except you didn’t really save either of us,” she said matter of factly.
“I still almost got turned into minced meat for you!” You huffed. Kate was beyond glad that you were still able to make light of something that could have destroyed other people. She knew you were still hurting, but it was good to see you hadn’t been entirely broken by what had happened.
“Not just me,” she smirked. “I heard Yelena’s been in here a lot.” You hummed simply, suppressing your smile.
“I sent her home to have a shower.” Kate chuckled at that.
“Are you guys good?” She asked except the way she was looking at you indicated that she already knew the answer.
“We’re going on a date,” you informed with a grin that Kate quickly mirrored and launched forwards to give you another, lighter hug.
  “Finally,” she beamed.
“Yeah, yeah,” you dismissed with an eye roll as she pulled back.
“I’m happy for you,” she told you with a sincerity that made her eyes glimmer. “For you both,” she added.
“Thanks, Kate. For everything. I don’t know where I’d be without you,” you told your best friend.
“Somewhere really lame I bet,” she shrugged and pulled up a chair next to your bed to give you some space. “So I know you’re happy with Yelena and all that sappy stuff,” she began. “But you do realise that as best friends we’re obligated to discuss this latest addition to the whole crazy ex thing.” You knew that there was never any genuine pressure to discuss the most recent events that had unfolded with Rae, but you were done trying to pretend like anything to do with her never happened.
“Well for starters, she’s a widow,” you said.
  “Dude, what the fuck?!”
*
“You’re doing well, y/n,” the therapist encouraged once she helped you up from the heap on the floor. You bite your tongue as you clung to the bar to prevent yourself from snipping that it didn’t feel that way. It didn’t feel like you were making much progress at all despite working your leg muscles as best you could in the past few days. “I think we should call it a day for this session and pick it up again tomorrow,” she suggested. You didn’t want to stop. You wanted to keep going but you knew the physiotherapist had a lot of other patients to attend to and you couldn’t take her attention away from them.
Yelena emerged from where she had been watching from the sidelines and brought your wheelchair with you to help you into it. You almost swatted her hand away to do it yourself, but you needed the support and you couldn’t brush her off. You went back to your ward in silence as Yelena commented on your progress, apparently sharing the belief that you were making good progress. You still couldn’t walk unsupported and you could only take several steps at a time before falling. Yelena and Kate were amazing for being so supportive, but it had always been Natasha who had taught you skills you needed the most. You hadn’t seen her since that night at the party and you were beginning to believe it would be a while until you would again.
“We don’t have to wait until you’re walking, we could go to a restaurant that is wheelchair accessible,” Yelena rambled as she helped you back into the bed.
“You’re not getting tired of waiting on me, are you Belova?” You quipped.
“I’ve been waiting a long time,” she muttered back with a fond smile. You hummed in agreement. “I’ve done some research to see which restaurants would be best,” she continued. Of course she has. “But I want to visit them myself to fact check,” she told you matter of factly. “Because sometimes it’s not as good as they say and-”
“I love you,” you said suddenly. Yelena’s eyes widened as she took in your words. “Sorry, you don’t have to say it back and I know you kind of already knew it because of the letter and if history has taught us anything I probably shouldn’t be moving so fast anyway but it just felt right to tell you because-”
“I love you too,” she cut you off confidently. “I think I have loved you for a long time,” she added. You pulled her forwards slightly and she took the cue to lean down and kiss you softly, cherishing the moment’s intimacy that you had both waited so long to display. It was new territory for you both, yet it felt like the most natural thing in the world. “And I would like to go on a date sooner rather than later,” she smiled.
“Just don’t stay away for too long,” you replied, still holding her hand as she pulled away.
“Never,” Yelena promised, leaving your room with a glowing feeling in her chest that she was allowed to embrace for the first time in her life. She owed that to you.
Similarly, you lay with a content grin on your lips for a while as you reflected on every moment you had with Yelena and couldn’t help but anticipate what was to come. Though if she was constantly willing to go the extra mile, you should be too. With that in mind, you dragged your feet over the side of the bed and braced against the sides as you raised yourself to your feet, unaware of the emerald eyes that watched you from the hallway.
You took a supported step as you clung to the bed, feeling your legs shake in protest but unwilling to back down just yet. You carried on regardless and successfully reached the end of your bed so you could set your target on the window just two steps away. Two steps was nothing, right? Wrong. The moment you advanced towards the window the numbness took over both legs in their entirety and you toppled to the floor without Yelena being there to help you up. Someone else was though.
“I thought you were only supposed to do that with a nurse around,” Natasha stated as she appeared by your side. You looked up at her with a badly concealed surprise as she held her hand out to you. You took it, knowing you were unable to get up on your own.
“As if you would follow that advice,” you muttered, uncomfortable at the tension that filled the room.
Natasha didn't reply to that. “They said you’re doing well,” she said instead as she helped you sit down. She didn’t pull up a chair, opting to hover by your side with her arms across her chest.
“Apparently,” you shrugged, glancing down at your lap. You had never found yourself struggling to make conversation with the redhead before, even though there was something you both needed to talk about.
“Yelena said you guys are gonna go out some time.” You kept your eyes glued to your lap as you swallowed a lump that had suddenly formed in your throat.
“Yeah, is that…yeah,” you said slowly, wanting to ask for her approval but too afraid to hear her reject it.
“I’m glad-” she began but you cut her off before you could take in what she was trying to say.
“I’m sorry, Nat. I know you told me not to date your sister and I never thought we would actually- I mean I didn’t expect that she would even want to- or that we would end up getting so-”
“Y/n,” Natasha cut off as she sat down next to you. “I had no right to ever tell you Yelena was off limits and honestly, if I had known how you felt about each other before I saw what you did with each other, I never would have stood in your way,” she said firmly. “I would have had some issues with the order you two were working in,” she continued and you finally let yourself smile in relief, “but that’s only because I want the best for both of you. Now I know what that is.” Without another word, Natasha tilted her head to rest against yours and you didn’t waste another second in leaning in to wrap your arms around her, feeling the immense safety that always came from being in such proximity to either Russian.
“I promise not to hurt her again,” you whispered.
“I’ll spare you the lecture,” she chuckled.
“I’ve heard enough of them,” you told her as you remembered the hours Rae had spent at your side.
“You’re safe now,” Natasha said with all the assurance you needed to hear. “I told you I’d find her.” You hummed faintly.
“I never doubted it. Now there’s nothing holding me back.”
*
Six months later
“Just a bit further,” Yelena encouraged as she gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. You glanced up at the last stretch of the hill, knowing it was going to be the hardest. It would be worth it though. “Do you want to stop for a bit?” Your girlfriend asked as she watched you struggle to persevere.
“I got it,” you told her even though your legs were burning, adamant on getting to the top without any assistance. Yelena stuck close to your side as Marty peered up at you from the other, giving a bark of encouragement too. “Thanks, bud,” you told him as the last few metres drew closer and you finally hauled yourself up to the top where you collapsed in an exhausted heap. Your burning legs were numb but you couldn’t bring yourself to care as you gazed out across the cliff.
“Are you okay?” Yelena asked, concern written over her features as she crouched down in front of you. You merely smiled up at her and placed your hand to her cheek, only needing a moment of that contact to ease her worries as she sat down next to you to admire the view and grab some water from her backpack for you all.
“It’s even better in the summer,” she commented as you sat up, resting your head on her shoulder. You hummed in agreement and craned your head slightly to gaze at Yelena.
  “Beautiful,” you muttered.
“We should camp out here next time,” she said, too caught up in the view to notice your subtle admiration of her.
“I like that idea,” you told her, although what you really liked was the idea that there would be a next time and no doubt many more after. “I think they do too,” you added when you noticed Marty and Fanny looking at you both with great interest. Yelena chuckled and rested her own head on yours.
“You think you will be up for it?” The blonde enquired.
“I think so,” you said. “I hope so.”
“You’re doing well,” she told you, knowing how frustrated you had been over your slow healing progress at the start but how, despite the odds, you had made it back onto your feet.
“So are you,” you said. Yelena kissed your forehead softly, knowing what you meant.
“It’s easy loving you,” she said simply. You grinned, feeling your heart elevate in your chest as you wrapped your arms around your girlfriend and sat content under the knowledge that you never had to doubt it. “It always will be.”
The end.

Final Part of The Adventure of Y/n Barton and Yelena Belova
Summary: After a month of being apart, you and Yelena finally talk. Will this talk bring you back together or further part?
Warning: jealousy, fluff, Yelena experiences gay panic,
Word count: 3.8k
“Alright,” You whispered. “Let’s talk.” Yelena prided herself to be someone that didn’t get nervous. She looked death in the face and beat it. She had her life altered by a man who saw himself as God and she walked away from him alive. She grieved the death of her sister and rejoiced when she came back. But staring into your eyes under the low light of the alley with snowflakes slowly falling down, Yelena was nervous.
Beautiful, Yelena thought. You giggled. Wait, did she say that out loud? Yelena’s eyes widened. “Well I appreciate the compliment but I don't think that we are here to talk about my appearance.” She felt her cheeks heat up. You laughed, throwing your head back and it was the best sound Yelena’s heard.
“I’m mad at you.” Yelena pouted, with no real malice. It was easy to go back into this joking banter with you. Once your laughter died down, you looked back at Yelena with a smile.
“That’s a shame,” You said. “Because I don’t hate you.” Such a simple statement but it casted away any doubt and fear Yelena was having. “Do you want to try this whole talking thing again?” Yelena had lost the ability to speak. You were so close to her. The cold winter air didn’t bother her because your abnormal high body temperature kept her warm. She nodded. “Alright,” You said. “Let’s talk.” You repeated. Talk. There was so much Yelena wanted to say. She’s been practicing for a week - everything she needed to apologize for. But standing so close to you, the only thought in her mind was how much she wanted to kiss you.
“Yelena,” You said. “It’s just us. Do you want me to go first?” Yelena shook her head. “Okay, just tell me what’s going on in your head.” She was brought back to that night. ‘I want to know what’s going on in your head.’ That is what you said to her.
“I uh I-shit.” You smiled. Gods, she really wanted to kiss you. “I’m thinking about how much I want to kiss you.” Your eyes got wide. “But before that happens, if you let me.” She added quickly. “I need to apologize.” Yelena let out a shaky breath. “I am so sorry. I am so fucking sorry how I ended things. I’m sorry I knew something was wrong and I didn’t say anything.” She was word vomiting so she stopped and tried to clear her throat, it was very dry. “You are right, you aren’t me.” She watched the realization wash over your face. “And I don’t want you to be me. I want you to be you because you are light, happiness, and love.” Her throat began to burn as she kept her tears at bay. “It was wrong for me to tell you to move on. I’m sorry.”
*
You knew you were crying - smiling but crying as Yelena spoke. As she said her piece weight lifted off your shoulders. “I’m sorry too. It wasn’t just on you that our relationship erupted into flames like it did. I should have talked to you. When you were going to find help, that man said some stuff to me.” Yelena frowned, taking your other hand.
“What did he say to you?” She asked. You didn’t answer right away, looking down at your connected hands.
“He told me that I was the reason we were caught. That I made you weak. He also said that my own father didn’t want me. He asked when you were going to leave me because I’m nothing.”
“Oh dorogy,” She dropped your hands and cradled your face with her hands, whipping away your tears. “That monster was wrong. You are not my weakness but my strength. You mean everything to me. Do you understand?” You nodded. “I don’t wanna die or fade away. I don’t wanna dive and disappear without a trace. I just wanna be someone.” You chuckled.
“Well, doesn’t everyone?” You asked.
“I wanna be somebody to someone. I never had nobody and no road home.” She confessed. It broke your heart Yelena believed she had nobody in her corner, that nobody cared about her. You understood though. You covered her hands with yours.
“Yelena, kiss me.” It took a minute for your request to register for the woman in front of you.
“Are you sure?” She asked. “I know I said I want to, but if you aren’t ready then I’ll wait.” You rolled your eyes but your heart fluttered at how caring she was. You moved your hands behind her neck and pulled her close. Your lips weren’t touching yet. She moved her hands to your waist, tentatively. But when you didn’t show any signs of discomfort - her hold on your waist tightened.
“I’ve missed you so much, solnishko.” You said, against her lips. The dam broke that you knew the Russian was trying to hold together as tears ran down her face.
“I’ve missed you too.” It was all she needed to connect her lips with yours. It was a feeling you missed so much - being able to be this close with Yelena. She ended the kiss with a smile on her face.
“We need to talk more about us.” You said. “But tonight can we just be together?” She nodded, kissing your forehead, letting her lips linger on your skin.
“No place I’d rather be.” You reentered the Avenger Tower with Yelena’s hand in yours. You caught Kate’s eyes and she gave you a big smile and a thumbs up. “Dork.” You heard Yelena mumble and although she wasn’t wrong, you hit her on the shoulder.
“Be nice.” You stopped walking when you got closer to the table. “Are you hungry?” You asked. The SHIELD agent was gone, thankfully. But you wanted to spend more time with Yelena before the hoard of questions. The Russian picked up on your hesitation.
“I haven’t eaten all day.” Yelena confessed. You gave her a look that caused Yelena to cringe. “I was an anxious mess from the idea of seeing you.” Well that’s adorable. You gave her a quick kiss on the check and led her to the buffet. There was a line but you didn’t care. “So,” Yelena said, after a pass of silence. “How have you been?” She asked, handing you a plate.
“I’ve been okay,” You answered, piling food on your plate. You didn’t realize how hungry you were either. “I think being home helped a lot. Especially since I missed so much of my siblings growing up because I hated being home.” Yelena nodded, grabbing a spoonful of mac and cheese. You laughed silently, shaking your head. “How about you? How have you been?” Yelena tensed up and you feared you overstepped.
“I’m going to therapy.” You almost dropped your food in shock. “Close your mouth or you’ll eat a fly.”
“Sorry.” You were stunned to say the least. “That’s great. I’m proud of you.” Yelena shrugged, adding hot sauce to her food.
“I should have gone when we got back.” She said, “Sam helped me find one and I start in the new year.” You were proud of her. It took a lot of strength to admit you needed help. “I want to be better for you so this will work.” You nodded.
“Go for yourself too.” You said. “Don’t do it for others.”
“I am. I promise I am.” Instead of walking back to the table, Yelena grabbed your free hand and led you to the bar. You sat down at empty seats and ordered drinks. “Can I ask you something?” You nodded, a mouth full of food. “Who was the girl sitting next to you?” You took a sip of your drink. You wondered when she was going to bring her up, noticing the hint of jealousy in her voice.
“A SHIELD agent, to be honest I don’t remember her name.” That made Yelena smile. “She came up to me and just started talking and touching me.” Anger flashed in the Russian’s eyes. You grabbed her free hand. “It’s fine. Apparently what happened to us in Russia is the talk of the town with the new agents.” Yelena squeezed your hand. “I’m okay, Lena. I promise.” Yelena nodded, kissing the back of your hand. You ate your food in silence, enjoying the way Yelena held your hand and her thumb moved back and forth. The bartender refilled your glasses and collected the empty plates.
“Ready to go back?” Yelena asked. You sighed, nodding. You couldn’t hide forever. You stood up and walked back to the table. Kate was sitting over there now talking with your father. You sat back down in your seat and Yelena sat in the now empty one. No one batted an eye or made a comment but you did see your dad smile and wink at you. You noticed Yelena visibly relaxed next to you when your mom began to speak with her. You smiled, feeling happier and freer than ever. This was your family.
*
Yelena didn’t know how to describe this feeling in her chest. Her hand never left yours as you both carried on your own conversations. Your voice, laughter, and smile made Yelena feel as if she was floating. She was worried that your parents were going to say something and they did in their own way. Clint gave her a look that spoke loud and clear - don’t hurt her again. Yelena nodded. Laura asked how she was doing and how working as an Avenger was treating her. It felt nice to be surrounded by everyone again. “Excuse me everyone,” Sam said, standing up and straightening his tie. “Duty calls.” Bucky rolled his eyes.
“You are giving a speech not saving someone from a burning building.” Bucky said. Sam gasped in mock offense, clutching his chest.
“You wound me good sir.” Sam joked, the table laughed at their interaction as Bucky slapped his boyfriend playfully.
“Better you than me.” Steve mumbled, the comment didn’t go on deaf ears.
“Not missing the spotlight, Rogers?” Clint asked, grasping his hand on the super soldier’s shoulder. Steve shook his head.
“Getting too old for it.” Natasha’s laugh was the loudest at the table.
“See a fossil. We should pack you up and send you to the Smithsonian.” Yelena shook her head as Steve’s cheeks turned pink.
“You know what Romanoff -” Steve’s threat was cut off by a microphone turning on as the billionaire took the stage. Sam gave the table a salute and ran off, quickly moving to the stairs of the stage.
“Hello everyone,” Tony’s voice boomed through the lobby. “I do hope you are enjoying yourself. As the man who signs the cheek after this I have to make sure my money was well spent.” The billionaire’s joke got a few laughs.
“Please,” Natasha said, rolling her eyes. “You’d throw a party every day till the new year without hearing our opinion.” Yelena chuckled, shaking her head. It was nice seeing this side of her sister, openly joking around with her friends. It was another piece of evidence that they were free. Tony shook his head.
“She’s not wrong. But,” he clapped his hands together. “I am not one for speeches. I’ll leave it to that guy.” He pointed to Sam, who waved. “I do want to say how thankful I am for all of us to be able to be together again. When the holidays came around in 2018, I didn’t think we’d get a chance to celebrate together again.” A heavy silence filled the lobby and you gave Yelena’s hand a tight squeeze, leaning into her. She wrapped her arms arounds you. “We’ve been through a lot together and I wouldn’t want to go through with anyone else. So before I get more emotional please help me welcome to the stage Sam Wilson.” Everyone clapped as Captain America walked up the stage and gave a quick hug to Tony.
“I’ll keep this short because I know the night is still young and we are here to celebrate with one another and get drunk, not listen to me talk.” Yelena felt you chuckle. “I’d first like to thank Tony for signing the check and Pepper who actually planned this party.” Tony flipped Sam off as Pepper smacked him on the chest. “And all of the workers that have to deal with us.” Sam sighed, looking around the room. “When Tony asked if I wanted to speak at the Christmas party, I was hesitant. How was I supposed to write a speech that conveyed the emotions of an entire room? Do I focus on what and who’ve we lost or do I talk about how we are walking towards a better future?” Sam shrugged. “Even as I stand in front of you, I’m still unsure and I think that is okay. I’m unsure what to talk about. I’m unsure what tomorrow is going to bring me. I’m unsure what is waiting for me as soon as I walk off this stage.
“We can’t change the past even though it’s human or God or Guardian nature, even when we now have the ability to go back into time because we don’t know how it will affect the now. Even though a small green stone gives us the ability to see into the future, should we look? I guess what I am trying to get at is, we can only focus and live in the now. We have to treasure the time we have with the people we love and not worry about what’s going to happen a week, a month, a year from now.” He smiled. “And as I look around this room and remember all the good, the bad, and the ugly memories I have with everyone of you; I can’t help but feel grateful to be a part of this beautiful family. Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays.”
*
After Sam’s speech, you found yourself in the sitting area with the ‘Young Avengers’ as Tony and Sam liked to call them - they were training to take over the Avenger mantle. You and Yelena were sitting together - her legs laid across you and your hand was playing with the rings on her fingers. To be honest, you weren’t listening to the conversation around you. You knew they were playing an intense game of ‘would you rather?’ “So,” Shuri said, stopping the game. “When are you going to join us Y/n?” The question directed at you snapped out of your thoughts.
“I’m sorry?” You questioned. “Like the game - I rather not debate on who I think is better in bed with people I grew up with.” You cringed. Kate and Yelena laughed. Shuri rolled her eyes and smiled. You didn’t like the smile.
“No, I mean the Young Avengers.” Oh. Oh. It wasn’t the first time someone asked if you were going to follow in your father’s footsteps and you knew it wasn’t going to be the last. Yelena sat up, noticing the shift in the conversation.
“You are kind of a badass.” Kamala added.
“And I bet you could give better hero speeches than Peter.” Cassie mumbled, the comment caused Peter to throw a small pillow at her. You smiled with a shrug.
“I don’t think I’ll be joining you guys. Never really thought about being an Avenger.” You chuckled. “Besides I may give my old man a heart attack if I join the team and I can’t risk that.” They laughed and they went back to the game besides Yelena, who kept her eyes on you. You gave her a smile and nodded. It was true. You never wanted to be an Avenger as you’ve seen the pain that comes with the title. From being at the tower when Ultron first attacked, seeing the team beaten and broken after their fight with Maximoff twins, holding it together when you learned your father was kidnapped and controlled by Loki, and the battle with Thanos and his children. But you were special, unique, and had abilities that most people would love to have. Was it selfish of you to not use them to help make the world a better place? You weren’t sure.
*
Yelena knew Shuri’s question affected you more than you were willing to show to the group. The DJ faded out the current song and an instrumental version of ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’ began to play. She watched a few couples move to the dance floor - Clint and Laura, Wanda and Natasha, Tony and Pepper, and even Kate and America. Yelena set her drink on the side table and stood up, holding out her hand. “Dance with me?” You looked at her hand with a smile and took it. Yelena found a more private spot on the dance floor and put her hands on your hips and you put your arms around her neck. “Do you want to talk about what happened back there?” Yelena asked. You sighed, biting the inside of your check.
“Do you think I should be an Avenger?” Yelena was startled by the question. Before she could answer you continued, “I understand why you joined when we first got back, even though it was unhealthy.” You joked. Yelena rolled her eyes. “But it makes sense for me to become one, you know? My parents were both SHIELD agents and my dad was an Avenger. Natasha helped raise me. I mean all of this,” You gestured around the Avenger lobby. “Has been my entire life. Fury has asked me to join the team every time he sees me. Am I wasting -” Yelena connected her lips with yours. You let out a surprise squeak but soon kissed her back. She pulled away. “Did you just kiss me so I’d stop rambling?” You asked.
“Yes.” You laughed, shaking your head.
“Rude.”
“I’m not going to tell you what to do.” Yelena started. “I’ll support you if you decide to join the team or if you don’t.” You nodded. “Join because you want to join, not because that is what others think you should do.” Yelena twirled you in a circle and brought you back in her arms. You giggled. “I don’t need to change the world. I’d make the moon shine just for you. If you feel like the night is falling I want to be the one you're calling.” You played with the baby hairs at the base of her neck, sending a shiver down Yelena’s spine.
“You are someone, somebody to me.” You whispered. “I don’t want to lose you again.”
“You won’t,” Yelena promised. “You won’t. I’m not going anywhere.” Yelena was unsure of the future with her being involved with the Avengers and unknown threats still lurking. Even if the sun started to set and the sky went cold, she could make her way home to you.
*
Christmas Morning - Plaza Hotel
You woke up to the feeling of fingers running through your hair. You groaned and opened your eyes, blinking away sleep. “Merry Christmas, zolotse.” Yelena said, looking down at you. You looked up at the Russian. Her braid was messy from sleep and her sleep shirt was handing off her shoulder. You missed this, falling asleep with Yelena in your arms.
“Merry Christmas, sweetheart.” You gave her a brief kiss. “I have something to give you.”
“You got me a present?” Yelena questioned.
“Yes and no.” You rolled over and opened the drawer of the nightstand, pulling out a white envelope. You sat up before handing it to her. She took the envelope with shaky hands. Steadying herself, she opened it and pulled out a key.
“Is this?” She asked. You nodded.
“The apartment is still in my name,” You sighed. “I’m not sure what tomorrow is going to bring me and like Sam said, I’m okay with it. But I do know I want you to be there by my side.” Yelena closed her hand around the key. “When I figure it out, do you want to move back in with me?” You asked.
“Yes.” She answered without hesitation. You smiled.
“Cool.” You nodded.
“Cool.” She repeated. You laughed, closing the gap between you two. Before your lips touched, banning on your door caused both of you to jump back.
“You better have clothes on!” Copper said. You groaned, blushing. Yelena chuckled, shaking her head. Gods, you wanted to kill your older brother sometimes. “We do.” You called out to your brother. The door swung open and Nathaniel came running in, jumping onto your bed, and crawled onto your lap.
“Get up! Get up!” He said, grabbing you by the shoulders and shaking you. Yelena and your other siblings laughed at the youngest Barton’s actions. Lila and Cooper joined him on the bed. “Santa came last night! We have presents to open!”
“Alright, alright, I’m going.” You chuckled, pushing him off of you. He landed between you and Yelena with a groan.
“Dad is having a meltdown because we are on a ‘time crunch’.” Litla said, adding the air quotes. You rolled your eyes.
“He needs to learn how to relax.” Yelena said.
“I heard that, Belova.” Your dad yelled. “Now hurry up, breakfast is getting cold.” The mention of food got everyone out of bed. You glanced at Yelena as she attached the key to one of her necklaces and put it on. Your heart fluttered as you followed your siblings to the living room area of the hotel suite. The Christmass tree that was bare the night before had colorful presents around it. You, Yelena, and your parents were running on very little sleep to set everything up. But it was worth it seeing the excitement in your siblings' faces. Nathaniel ran over to the presents and looked over the presents.
“Lena!” He said, pointing. “You have presents too.”
“I have presents.” She said, slowly.
“Eat then presents.” Laura said, with a smile. She handed Yelena a plate of food. “Merry Christmas.” You gave the Russian’s hand a squeeze, noticing she was getting a little overwhelmed.
“Merry Christmas.” She said, finding her voice. Your family sat around the tree. Your dad kept having to stop Nathaniel from opening the presents too early while your mom went over the plan for the day - presents hare, meeting up with Natasha and Wanda, then back to the tower. It was going to be a busy and tiring day but you were grateful for your family.
He was wrong. You were somebody to a lot of people. A daughter. A sister. A friend. A niece. A girlfriend. He didn’t win. He was locked away in a cell while you were free. “What’s got you smiling like that?” Yelena whispered to you. You looked at her.
“Just happy.” She kissed your forehead.
“Me too, zolotse. Me too.”
The End.
_
Just like that the main story of The Adventure of Y/n Barton and Yelena Belova has come to an end! I want to thank everyone who took time out of their day to read this story; which started has a little one shot evolved into a 6 part series!
Now what is next? I do have three drabbles planned for this AU; the talk between Y/n and Clint, how Y/n and Yelena met, and a cute moment where Y/n helps Yelena through a nightmare! However, we learned a lot about this AU with these last two parts so if you want me to go into specifics please let me know! I have some ideas floating around but would love to see what you guys are interested in!
Thank you! Your support means the world to me!

You sit behind the glass door trying to glance inside and see if your favorite baker is working this morning. Several minutes pass and customers look at you weirdly when they try to get inside the store but lowkey you are grateful for them because it means if there's a rush she must have to get in the front as well.
There is, the blonde woman is coming to the front holding a big tray filled with cookies and you squeal when you see her. Trying to cover your mouth and your sound with your hand accidentally falling on the floor and tripping inside the bushes.
"Miss, are you okay?" One of the customers, an old man comes out to your air followed by the cute baker who still wore her apron and tilted her head as she saw you.
"Y/N, right? Are you alright?"
Together they help you get up and you babble tons of thank yous together, excusing yourself for slipping, blaming it on the weather even though it hadn't rained for days now.
"Oh, perhaps is it a concussion? Did you hit your head?" The old man asks you looking at you with concern and Yelena is narrowing her eyebrows together. You just happen to show up way too often, and her co-workers had told you that you had been inquiring about her and when she wasn't in, you'd just leave. Your plan today was to finally ask her out but looks like today was already failing you.
"No, I'm fine. I'm fine. Really, it's no problem, I'll just head home, yeah, that's what I should do." You mumble looking at yourself and fixing your jacket. The embarrassment was getting too much for you to handle.
"Cookie for your troubles?" Her voice startled you, her deep foreign accent heavy on her tongue.
"You know, came here for cookies, bad to leave without."
You slowly nod your head and the old man holds the door for you so you can both walk inside. She goes behind the counter and fixes a box.
"You like chocolate chip?"
"Yes." You nod looking at her. She puts a couple inside the box with a scoop.
"Dark chocolate?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Oat?"
"Of course."
"Snickerdoodle?"
"Not really."
"Bad cinnamon. Alright, mocha?"
"Yes."
"Macadamia?"
"My favorite."
"Interesting taste you got."
She wraps the box up with a ribbon and hands it to you with a smile.
"All good."
"I should pay-"
"No, no need." She cuts you off and scoffs. "Come back, today at six pm. Tell me why you slipped?"
You look at her with a shock on your face. Has she seen right through you?
"Say yes." She looks at you. "It's the kind thing to do."
"Ah yes, yes. I'll come, yes. Goodbye, yes." You shake your head before jolting your whole body rushing to the door, hitting your head on the way to the glass door, and then immediately running off to the street. Truly an embarrassing day.
Yelena stays and stares at your figure hoping you'd make it alive.

lacy, oh lacy... || y. belova
I had the realization the other day while listening to Oliva Rodrigo that Natasha was Yelena's Lacy, and I made this. It's fairly harsh towards Natasha, which is obviously not my feelings, just attempting to show what I think Yelena's perspective was. This is set over the course of the Black Widow movie 🖤
Words: 700ish
Warnings: angst, regret, mentions of death, jealousy, grief, mentions of revenge, vague references to the trauma of the red room. this is sad lol

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pain and suffering is every day and we are both still a trained killer. Except I’m not the one that’s on the cover of a magazine. I'm not the killer that little girls call their hero.
Yelena hated Natasha. She hated her beauty. She hated her success. She envied her freedom. Her stomach churned at her sister's naivety. That ridiculous belief that they could somehow make up for the horrors, that Yelena would ever truly be free.
She was not naive. She understood the truth of who they were. What Natasha suggested - what she seemed to believe - was impossible. Yelena lived with it every day; was haunted by that truth every day. She was convinced that nothing could ever make up for it, nothing. So why bother pretendending they were anything else?
And yet here was her sister- No, she thought, not her sister, because Natasha didn’t want that. Didn’t want her.
She despised her own jealousy. She shuddered at her own worship of the older widow. Her misplaced faith in the false god she had begged to rescue her.
But most of all, Yelena hated the love Natasha was met with everywhere her feet fell. That somehow, against the odds, everyone forgot who the two women really were.
No, she stoped herself again because, no, they didn’t forget who she was, they only forgot her would-be-sister, their precious “Black Widow.”
Yelena’s stomach tied in knots over everyone who loved her sister, the adoration that followed her like puppies. The family- the family she loved so much.
Why were the two of them so different? Why was she hated, pushed aside, forgotten- and yet Natasha had her own statue. Her face on a cereal box. A barbie, of all things. It would be laughable if it weren’t so horrible. Little girls cosplaying the effects of her abduction, her torture. Children playing at assasins, while her childhood had been ripped away.
And Natasha seemed to thrive on it, she had accepted it. Wasn’t she just the best thing to ever exist? Yelena scoffed.
Everything Yelena did, all the horrors she shut out, every time she broke control, every time she saved a life, every time she resisted; was poisoned by the knowledge that she could never live up to… to that.
Her heart twisted at her abandonment. Why had the Avenger never come back for her? Was she not worthy of avenging; her pain not as deep as the others? Or was Natasha really just that much better? So perfect that it covered over all the blood she’d spilled.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yelena sat at Natasha's grave, every Saturday for three months. Her head rested on the hand gripping the top of her sister’s headstone.
And she apologized. Again, and again, she wept and she cried over the years wasted believing her sister; her Natasha, had abandoned her. Had left her to fend for herself. Had left her for the hero worship. For her fancy new family that must have been worth more than those precious few months in Ohio.
She apologized for making Natasha the villain in her story. She apologized for everything that had made her resent the woman she had far too little time with. She spoke to the empty space Natahsha had left, wishing for a last embrace, something to hold on to. I'm not doing well.
Her sister was angel dust and she was alone. Again.
Natasha never abandoned her. Even now, she hadn't left. She has been stolen. Ripped away, right as Yelena had learned she was loved by the sister she'd loathed and the sister she'd worshiped for so long.
No more dreaming of a perfect Natasha coming back for her, folding her into that coveted family. No more hope. She couldn't even be mad at her any longer. And she tried, it would have been easier than this; this all-consuming sadness. But she couldn’t. She couldn't hate Natasha.
And with this realization came another. That there was one person she could hate. One man that could pay for all those years of pain and longing and jealousy and profound loneliness. The man who had stolen that time, not only from her, but for himself.
No one would survive splitting the widows.
No one.

The other side
Summary: Natasha is battling aliens in New York City when she ends up falling through a portal. Can she find her way home?
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters.
————————
The Avengers were on a mission in the streets of New York City. A new alien threat had invaded the city. They weren’t sure how they’d gotten there. That is, until a portal opened.
Natasha Romanoff, who had been charging at one of the aliens ended up tumbling through it. She hadn’t even seen it before ending up on the other side.
Hastily, she turned around, but there wasn’t a portal in sight. Luckily her training with the Red Room could come in handy in this situation.
First thing’s first, she needed to blend into the crowd. Then she needed to find out where she was, so that she could find her way back home.
But before she could even do anything she tested her comm’s. “Cap? Stark? Does anyone copy?” The silence that followed confirmed her suspicions.
She looked around her. The city she was in looked kind of like New York with it’s skyscrapers and people hurriedly walking around with their heads down.
“At least it won’t be too hard to blend in,” Natasha muttered to herself. She quickly got a change of clothes and stuffed her missionsuit in a backpack.
After that, she tried to find out where she was. The buildings definitely weren’t familiar. She was happy to learn that the people here were American, so she couldn’t be too far from home.
She ended up at a news stand and asked for the local paper. “The Star City Star,” she read at the top. She frowned. It’d looked like a big city, but she’d never heard of it.
She sighed and looked through the paper. She stopped on an article about local vigilantes that kept the city safe. Natasha kept that in mind in case she couldn’t find a way home by herself.
Quickly, she found out that nobody hear knew of New York City. Maybe she was farther from home then she thought.
It was starting to get dark when Nat decided to look for a place to sleep. Not knowing where to go, she got up on the rooftop. Her past made her stick to the shadows.
She stopped as up ahead she saw an archer looking down at the city. The woman pulled her bow back and pointed it down at a target. Nat snuck closer to see the target and saw a child hidden in the background.
Her eyes widened as she hurriedly ran to the archer taking her by surprise and causing her to miss her shot. The two started to fight, but the young woman was unmatched to Natasha’s skills.
The redhead didn’t let her guard down after knocking her out though. This kind of person rarely worked alone. Just as expected another young woman jumped out of the shadows a second later.
This one matched her skills better. The two fought for a long time. Nat pulled out all of her best moves, but the blonde came back with hers. Eventually, the two ended up knocking eachother over at the same time.
“Nice skills,” the blonde told her from her place on the floor.
“Thanks,” Nat responded incredulously, as she got back into a fighting stance.
“You knocked my friend out,” the blonde said as she got to her feet.
Nat narrowed her eyes. “She was going to hit a young child hidden in the back.” She pointed to the little girl still hidden down on the street.
“Oh,” was all the blonde said. “She was targeting the men. They’re an alien threat.”
Nat nodded. “I know. I followed them here.” She looked at the blonde and narrowed her eyes. “I’ll tell you what. I’ll help you neutralise the threat, if you help me get back home.”
The blonde raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the other woman. “Deal!” She said. “I’m Sara Lance, also known as the white canary.”

“I mean, I don’t even know what I did wrong.” You cried, sniffling as tears continued to roam across your face. Yelena used a small tissue to wipe them away, frowning as she took in your hopeless state. You looked so down - so sad, she wanted to do anything she could to help you.
“I know, I know. You didn’t do anything, he was a complete dick who didn’t deserve you.” You nodded, chuckling at her words. You leaned your head on her shoulder, apologizing for the wetness that stained her sleeve. She shushed you quickly, running her fingers through your hair as you continued to listen to her praising statements, a grin threatening to take over as a result.
“You’re so, so perfect, love, he just didn’t see that. I mean, you’re so beautiful, and not to mention how sweet and caring you are - you always take care of me when I’m all sick and mean.” She hummed at the thought of your soup she had the pleasure of eating when she was unwell.
“Anyone, and I mean anyone, would be more than happy to be with you.” You looked up at her through tired eyes, you and your now ex-boyfriend had been up most of the night arguing, you were bound to be restless the next day.
“You mean it?”
“I mean it. I mean every word.” You didn’t happen to notice the small proximity shared between the two of you until her breath panned against your face, your lips mere inches from touching. You titled your head slightly, leaning in as you closed the distance, resting your hand on her chest as you sunk into the feeling of her mouth on yours. She cupped your cheeks, brushing her tongue over your lips as you granted access. She moaned, bringing a hand down your body and to your waist, leading you closer to her. There was a small separation, and you took your chance to wrap your leg around her hips, placing your arms around her neck as your fingers drew small circles on her back.
The two of you only separated for air, yet you were instantly on each other once again. She explored your mouth with pleasure, basking in the soft skin you allowed her to view. She teased the bottom of your shirt, waiting for your approval before removing it, her eyes soon being blessed with the sight of your perky breasts.
“No bra?” She asked, breath heaving and short.
“I prefer going without.” You countered, shuddering when her mouth found a place on your nipples. You placed your hand on the back of her head, mumbling your appreciation between stutters.
“Fuck, Yelena,” You started. “W..we shouldn’t be doing this.” You suddenly recalled the reasoning as to why you were here. The man that just left you was still at your shared apartment, most likely gathering his items, while you sat in your friend's lap with her kisses exfoliating your body.
“Shh, I don’t want you to think, Y/N.” Her body fell on top of yours, her eyes heavy as she looked down at you.
“Your boyfriend is such a fucking pussy, let’s see what he’s missing out on.” You gasped as a needle came in contact with your skin, your body instantly falling limp as you struggled to keep awake.
“Shh, it’s okay, I’m going to make you feel so good.” Your ex was lucky to make it out alive, and now she wasn’t going to waste this opportunity. Once you awoke, she’d be sure to keep you safe in her hold, even if you tried to deny it. Because at the end of the day, she knew you wanted it just as bad as she did.

A few years ago you took the opportunity to join the Avengers. You went on missions with them and after a while you became very close to the other Avengers. When Natasha introduced Yelena to you a year ago, you immediately got along with her. After a few months, you and Yelena became very good friends, but you also started to have feelings for her. Just like Yelena did for you.
But you both decided to keep your feelings a secret from each other until you suddenly confessed your feelings on the following day:
It’s been a while since you’ve seen and talked to Yelena. Because you had a crush on her you wanted to put some distance between the two of you but this wasn’t easy because you started missing her a lot.
That day you went to the compound for a meeting with the other Avengers. You got there on time and as you walked towards the elevator you saw Yelena go in as well.
“Please wait for me!” You yelled and Yelena turned around and started smiling when she saw you.
“Only if you hurry up!” She yelled back, making you laugh. You walked to Yelena. After greeting each other, she pressed the button for the floor where the meeting would take place. Silence began to grow between the two of you and you didn’t know what to say. You got nervous and looked around, and when you saw the buttons of the elevator you suddenly got an idea. You looked at Yelena with a smile. She noticed your smile and started to chuckle.
“What got you smiling like that?” She asked curiously.
“What do you think would happen if I clicked all the buttons?”
“I’m not sure, but I don’t think that would be a good idea.” Yelena said.
“But I think it would be interesting and fun to see what happens.” You said excitedly.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Y/N.” Yelena warned you again, but you were already standing next to the buttons and started clicking all of them. It looked funny how all the buttons started to light up, but then suddenly the elevator stopped, the light went out and you flinched.
“I told you this isn’t a good idea.” Yelena said annoyed, but when the light came back on, she saw a scared and panicked look on your face. You were so nervous and started clicking the button, hoping that the door would open. You were so nervous that you didn’t even hear Yelena say your name.
“Oh, noo noo. This can’t happen.”
“Shit, I’m stuck…I’m stuck in an elevator.” Out of nervousness you started playing with your hands. Yelena moved closer to you and gently placed her hand on yours to make you stop. She smiled at you and gently moved her thumb over your hands. You began to calm down and took deep breaths with her.
“Hey, it’s okay, you’re not alone.” Yelena said after a while.
“Shit, you’re right. I’m stuck with you…the person I have a crush on.” You suddenly confessed out of panic. You quickly pulled your hand away from Yelena and covered your mouth.
“What did you just say?” Yelena asked.
“Oh no, I didn’t want you to find it out like that.”
“So, you really have a crush on me?” Yelena asked with a grin and you got nervous again.
“Yeah, now you know my secret.” You confessed and Yelena came closer to you. So, that there were only a few inches between the two of you.
“What would you say if I told you that I have feelings for you too?” Yelena asked and you began to blush.
“You do?” You asked quietly and Yelena nodded. You started to smile, and Yelena took the last step between the two of you.
“Is it okay if I kiss you?” She asked softly and all you could do was nod, which made Yelena chuckle.
“Are you sure?” She asked again.
“I’m so sure.” You said, making her smile. Yelena placed her hand on your cheek and smiled at you. You couldn’t wait for her to kiss you any longer, so you pulled her closer and kisser her. You could feel Yelena begin to smile as your lips touched hers. The kiss started gently but then became more passionate. You enjoyed the kiss so much that you completely forgot where you were until suddenly a sound was to hear and the elevator door opened. Yelena and you quickly let go of each other and looked at the elevator door where Natasha was standing, grinning at the two of you. She just looked at the two of you, nodded at you, then turned around and walked away. You looked at Yelena and you both started to laugh.
“That was so weird.” You said after you stopped laughing.
“Yeah, it was.” Yelena said and you looked at the clock on your phone.
“We missed the meeting.” You confirmed.
“Would you like to have a coffee somewhere?” Yelena asked and you started to smile.
“Sure” you said and walked back into the elevator. Yelena pressed the button in the elevator, but this time you stayed by her side and held her hand instead of pressing all the buttons.
You went to a coffee shop not far away from here and enjoyed the evening together. Later that day, Natasha told you everything important from the meeting and that she is really happy for both of you. Exactly like you and Yelena are. You still can’t believe that Yelena feels the same way about you, but it also makes you so happy.

grief will make you do crazy things. it will electrify the elegant, flower-stem neurons in the amygdala of your brain, will pluck them like an instrument. in ancient rome, grief made men twirl in their thin, leather sandals and pirouette until their feet bled; in india, it walked widows onto pyres waiting for fire. the persians gave the bodies of their deceased beloveds to dogs; the egyptians buried them with their servants. grief will make you laugh at the funeral, weep over the cereal bowl; it will buzz your feet until they start dancing in the middle of the night. it’s grief that inspires the unlikeliest of bedfellows. it will convince you, tugging at the hem of your ragged cotton robe — the one you’ve had since your father bought it for you in latakia when you were fifteen, the one that will always smell hazily of summer — that the building is on fire, the world is on fire, and you’ll only find water in one place: a city as far away from here as you can imagine. grief will pack your bag, quit your job, buy a white dress. it will make you say yes.

scandalous.
he knew his thoughts were everything but pure.
scandalous.
he knew his thoughts should only pertain to his own husband and the life they’d built together.
scandalous
but… he couldn’t. he couldn’t keep his eyes from the widow. couldn’t keep his thoughts from wandering; forming indecent images and scenarios.
his thighs pressed inwards at the situations created by his imagination. each one a different position, different pose; exploring each other’s bodies, igniting new passion into one another.
“haa— hah! [n—name]…!” he’d moan into your chest, dragging his fingers down your back in such a crude, indecent manner.
you’d groan into his neck, inhaling the fresh scent of his shower, the fruity scent still lingering from the perfume he spent seventy dollars on. just for you.
you’d press yourself deeper into him, embedding your tip into his womb. “ahh!” a high-pitched yelp. he would put his hand on your v-line, trying to stop your movements.
you’d only go harder, dismissing his mindless mumbles of “ngh!! t—too… too de—ep! s—sl—slow d..d—down!!”
he would know.
you would know.
his husband would know.
everyone would know.
that he wanted it. just how you gave it to him; slow, deep, mind-breaking stokes that left him breathless at every thrust.
“you wanted this, right? watched me from your widow. rubbing yourself to my form, hoping I’d come and sweep you away from your husband.”
he’d choke on his words, clawing at you for any sort of support. his eyes would roll backwards, an orgasm rippling between the two of you, staining your chests in a sticky white substance.
“Gi—“
you’d move your fingers to his chest, lifting his legs to his shoulders in the process. your fingers would slid along his abs, soaking up his spewed semen and bringing it to his—
“Giyuu”
—mouth, forcing him to taste his own—
“Giyuu!”
—seed. he’d moan around your fingers, the salty taste of himself pushing him over—
“GIYUU!!”
Giyuu pulled back from the sink, dropping the cup he held in his hand, shattering it.
his husband stood across the short kitchen distance with a briefcase in hand. he adjusted his tie, tugging on the fabric to adhere to his neck.
“Giyuu, where was your mind? I’ve been calling your name for five minutes.” the man chuckled
Giyuu smiled, glancing back to the window before snapping his vision back to his husband. “J…just thinking of our anniversary.”
his husband hummed, closing the buttons of his suit. “anniversary?” he chuckled, burning a hole into Giyuu’s chest. “our anniversary was two months ago.”
Giyuu glanced at the calendar on his refrigerator, looking at the heart over today’s date.
His husband followed the look, panic rushing through his body. “Uh—uhm I mean, I, I was thinking of your birthday..!”
‘my birthday was two days ago.’ he thought
Giyuu looked back to the window, no longer seeing the picture of his fantasies. ‘where’d [name] go?’
his husband came behind him, palming his ass and resting his chin on Giyuu’s shoulder, disregarding his obvious discomfort. “are you mad at me?” his husband moaned into his ear, harshly rubbing his front against Giyuu’s back.
Giyuu remained silent, earning a harsh thrust “oh, I’m sorry Giyuu, I’ve just been so busy. but, I promise, when I get back, we’ll celebrate all you want.”
“Get back? where are you going?” Giyuu asked softly, not surprised by his husband’s actions.
“I have a business meeting with Rengoku. It’ll last a week. I’m sorry!”
Giyuu nodded, moving away from the man to pick up a banana from the table. “Well, you better go now, I forgive you.”
his husband smiled, placing a quick peck on his forehead. “I swear, I’ll make it up to you when I get back.”
Giyuu nodded, undoing his apron to take a shower.
“oh! I called [name] over to fix the sink, he should be over later.”
Giyuu stopped his movements, feeling heat rush to his face. “ok, love you.”
as fast as his husband had entered the kitchen, he was gone, leaving with only a distracted “mhm.”
Giyuu continued to his room, removing the rest of his clothing to begin his showering process. he pulled a basket from under his sink labeled ‘[name]’ and continued on his way, reliving his fantasy from earlier.
he felt a smile etch its way onto his face, burning into his features
“I’ll see [name] soon…

This Is What You Deserve (Daemon x Reader)
Tumblr media
Look man you don't choose when the smut will come to you, it just does. This was requested by anon and @ladystrongofharrenhall which I feel the need to apologise cause it like barely is what you requested, if you feel like you don’t like it please let me know and we can figure out something else for me to write for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“The dowager lady of Harrenhall, (y/n) Strong with her son and heir Arryan Strong”
The man introduced the lady dressed in all black that stood before the iron throne with a toddler holding her hand that was dressed in deep blue, a spitting image of his father, soft curls fell directly on his face and eyes that had stolen the color right out of the deep sea.
The lady bowed before the king that had invited her to court after the incident that had occurred in Harrenhall, within the night she had lost her husband and good father, both of them gave their lives to save her and her son, now she was in kings landing for the first time since her wedding.
“My king, it is very thoughtful of you to invite me to your court”
“Nonsense, your husband was one of the most trusted men within the gold cloaks and his father was a good friend of mine, last time I saw you you were dressed in all white”
“A lot has changed since then I am afraid”
“Indeed, I grief for the loss you have suffered, I summoned you to offer you a place in my court, under my protection, your born family has been an ally since the beginning, your son will be my cupbearer and will receive the same education as every noble boy and you can live within the castle as the queens' companion”
“Your honor me, your grace, it gladdens my heart that you thought of us amongst the countless matters that demand the kings' attention”
(Y/n) had learned from a very young age that a lady was to act a certain way, she had just lost the earth from underneath her feet, left with a son in her arms and a scandal on her back that she had to shield him from, she could feel every pair of eyes on her back, all of them like crows that waited for a sign of weakness, she would not give them that satisfaction, not today, not ever.
“The servants will lead you to your chamber, I believe your travel is quite long”
“Indeed, thank you, my king”
“My king”
Sweet Arryans voice was heard as he bowed in unison with his mother, a boy of 4 years of age, he was (y/n)s sun and moon, anything and everything she did she did it to make sure his future is secured and his present time is as happy as it could be amongst the chaos.
-
“My boy”
“Mother!”
Little Arryan ran to his mother and hugged her as tightly as his little arms could although he could not completely wrap them around (y/n)s hips since this was the height that he was.
(Y/n) scooped up her son to check for any injuries or some type of harm, (y/n) had attempted to stay calm and calculated in front of the court, however, imagine her surprise when she left her little boy with Baela and Rhaena to play together and when she came back Baela told her that their father Daemon had taken Arryan up on Caraxes.
“You looked tiny from up there”
“I did, didn’t I? Let’s go inside now”
“You are welcome, I am sure that was a moment the child will never forget”
(Y/n) was fuming, Daemon had approached her a few morrows ago to offer his condolences, being a widower himself he could indenting the struggle and pressure she was under, at the time she faintly smiled and curtsied to thank him.
Now (y/n)s eyes threw a dagger and her lips were a thin line, how dare he so arrogantly demand a thank you for putting her child in danger? Arryan wasn't a Targaryen, nor was he a kin to Daemon, the possibility of Caraxes to harm the child was huge.
“Baela, take Arryan inside, I shall be with you in a moment”
Her voice grew cold, and the surroundings were resembling of a cloud closing in and overshadowing the sun, like a warning of a strong that gathered around Daemon's head who seemed clueless of the warning signs that he is daughters picked up so easily that got them almost running away from themselves
“Have you lost your mind?”
“Excuse me?”
“Who gave you the authority to take my son up on that beast with you?”
“You should feel flattered, he is one of the few people that get to say that they have gone up on a dragon”
“I know that your family likes to frown down upon us from your mighty dragons but listen to me well, my son is the future lord of Harrenhall and the carries my born name of Featherdall, we were the biggest army Aegon the conqueror had on his side when he took over the seven kingdoms, so the next time you even think of coming around me and my son with your high and mighty attitude I would advise you to think how well would it go for you if you angered the house that put you up on that throne, got it?”
Daemon was stunned, he just stared at the lady that stood before him with her breath heavy and audible enough for everyone to feel her fury, she wasn’t a dragon but Daemon swore he could see fire in her hues, no one had dared to speak to the rogue prince this way, still there she was, commanding him and keeping her head up high, not an ounce of doubt or fear in sight.
“Yes, my lady”
“That’s what I thought”
-
“Alright my love, let me tuck you in”
“Momma, can I go up to the dragon again?”
“I am not sure sweetling, the prince is a busy man”
“But he said he will find time whenever I want”
“Did you like the dragon that much?”
“Uh-huh, you said Papa is up in the sky, I wanted for him to see me better”
(Y/n) was speechless, tears welling up in her eyes at the doting explanation her son had given her, she could detect the joy the little boy had experienced that day, she had not seen him this happy since Harwin was alive.
“Go to bed now, I will ask Prince Daemon on the morrow”
“Thank you, momma, goodnight”
“Goodnight my love”
Regret took over her body and soul like poison, she lost composure and talked back to a royal, she did not even take a minute to think of how did Arryan end up on the dragon, (y/n) had switched to defense mode the moment she saw the humongous animal land and did not care of anything else besides that her child could have been harmed.
Daemon could not find sleep, he tossed and turned for hours but his mind was occupied with playing (y/n)s speech over again instead of leaving him to rest, she was fuming however there was something in the way she looked at him, at the trembling tone of her voice that Daemon could empathize with… grief.
It was almost like the Gods had orchestrated it, leaving them restless and wandering in the gardens with the encounter that had a sour taste in their mouths.
Daemon was the one that noticed her figure sitting down on the bench, a silk cape covering her as her hair was down instead of a tight undo like it was in the morning, he chose to remain silent as he approached slowly and sat next to her, (y/n) did not turn to look at the prince, something told her exactly whom it was.
“I am sorry, I should have not talked to you that way, it was entirely inappropriate”
“You were defending your child, I should have asked permission to take him with me. I understand why you lost your temper”
“Sometimes I dream of putting him in a bubble, to keep him from… harm”
Her voice cracked once more, at that little word so many emotions were hidden, love, fear, anger, confusion, Daemon looked at her side profile while the moonlight caressed her cheeks, the difference of expression between the lady he met in daylight was tremendous, she had lived every day in agony but painted a smile for her son, now he could see the true cracks.
“Why did you come back to kings Landing? Harrenhal might have been better?”
“The king summoned us, Harwin and I had never presented our son to the court, now I had to make sure he was established as the future lord of the house strong”
“Did you love him? Harwin”
“Deeply, he treated me with kindness and respect”
“I don’t know how much respect did he show to your wedlock, especially with all the whispers that surrounded his name”
“Harwin was a wonderful man, I lost three children before we had Arryan, my father told him that he would understand if Harwin wished to leave our marriage, still he stood by me and loved me”
“Is that what love is to you? A man sticking at your side while he has other children”
“I will not let you taint my dead husbands' name, I have already apologized why are you trying to get me riled up again?”
“I’m not”
(Y/n) scoffed at Daemon's protest and got up so she can get some distance from him, her back was now facing him and Daemon realized he was pressing down on a wound that was still tender, it was not his place to question their marriage since he has two on his back.
“I just, you are a young lady you certainly deserve more than the bare minimum?”
“Bare minimum? Are you even aware of what most women have to put up with when it comes to their husbands? Beatings, embarrassment, constant pregnancies, bastards, public belittling, Harwin treated me with care, he was sweet and offered me much more than any woman could ever wish for”
“He fucked Rhaenyra”
The harsh slap against Daemon's cheek was heard loudly around the garden, even (y/n) was taken back by her action, she did not understand why he kept pressuring her, like a knife that he had stabbed her with and now he kept twisting it around, Harwin was nowhere near perfect but there was a level of understanding between them, he kept her away from the dramatics and carefree enough, why was Daemon kept nitpicking at her?
Daemon's eyes grew wide, it stung but it did not hurt him, was most shocking, they both gawked at one another waiting for someone to do or say something, maybe it was (y/n)s sudden rush of emotion that compelled him to do the same or just him being compulsive, whatever it was that took over it was strong enough to push her against the nearest wall and plant the most passionate kiss (y/n) had ever experienced, at first she froze still the heat that radiated from his hands as they roamed her body and the strength his kiss held sweetened the moment and she closed her eyes, in a way one would say she surrendered.
“This is what you deserve”
Daemon growled as the kisses went down from her lips to the nape of her neck, Harwin was a sweet lover, his touch was soft, and (y/n) was taken care of, however (y/n) could see that it lacked in passion, he did not yearn for her, it was just another way to show her that he loved her.
“We could get caught”
“Not if you are quiet”
That would have been a piece of wonderful advice had he not made it so difficult by thrusting intensely, she whimpered from pleasure while her nails dug deep into his skin and drew blood, she even bit her lip to the point of bleeding to prevent herself from letting the whole keep know how much she was enjoying this, she had never felt what it was like to be craved, wanted, needed even, Harwin loved her still his body did not weaken at the sight of her nakedness nor did his hues darkened during their sacred bedding.
Daemon's eyes were as dark as the deep waters of the ocean, his grip on her waist was ironlike, and his body collided with hers while she hoisted up her leg to his waist for more access and comfortability, the match was resembling the concept of throwing fire to gasoline.
“Please Daemon”
“You sound so pretty when you beg”
Both of them were out of breath but kept pushing, their bodies acted like they knew each other for years, that this was a normal day for them, they instinctively were conscious of how the other liked to be touched, kissed, gazed upon, it was addicting, it was (y/n)s first time of feeling like the queen of the world and Daemons first time that he wanted to over-perform, to fill every need and tend to her every desire.
“Hush”
He shushed her when a yield escaped her lips as she reached her end, he kissed her once more as she moaned in his mouth, his pace slowed and both of their bodies relaxed when they rode the pleasure at the very last wave of it.
“Do you now understand what I meant when I said that you were getting the bare minimum?”
Daemon whispered in her ear before he left a kiss on her cheek, her face glowing and wet from droplets.
“Yes”
“You are burning up”
(Y/n) was sweating profusely, although Daemon wanted to take a good look at her, to remember the moment that a faint smile decorated her lips as she grew tired but her body was relaxed as it was used to the very bit of its powers, Daemon softly blew some air at the side of her neck to cool her, though all it did was compel her body to grow goosebumps and shake.
“Stop, it tickles, you are no better either, you are a sweaty mess”
“The sweat of a champion, anyone that would even glance at you would see how content you are”
“And you are not? You are still inside of me”
“I must admit, it is like a nice warm hug”
(Y/n) pushed him off at the cheeky comparison making him giggle, she fixed her dress to hide most of the damage while Daemon pulled his trousers up and buttoned up the shirt with the few buttons that were left since (y/n) had ripped it open.
“We must go”
“I will collect Arryan on the morrow after I break my fast”
“And who told you you could do that?”
“No one, I assumed I get privileges when you were holding on to me for dear life whilst I-“
“Alright alright, I will see you on the morrow”
