Who ur fav character?
Like...in general or overall? 🤨
😳That's a mighty tall ask when there's so many wonderful and awesome characters of various types and features and genres. 🫢
I have so many favs for differing and similar reasoning...
Well it's a good thing I'm somewhat prepared!
My default answer of favorite character goes to Inuyasha from InuYasha. I don't care how long and hard the fellow cast characters, the fandom, and even some casuals try to slander him. That man is the bestest Boi!!
And every single one of the so called friends and allies are beyond damn lucky that he grew up so well adjusted morally and is ACTUALLY pretty fucking mellow about how they always come for him hostilely despite everything because they'd be dead or worse otherwise in my opinion.
But that could just be me still.
If you want a live action character then my default is Harry Potter I guess. Grew up reading the books, watching the movies, and Harry is a very interesting individual to me.
Tumblr media
I put some examples/explanations in the tags til I ran out of room lol.
#i don't get notified#i don't know if i answered this before or if its just another similar ask I've answered#anon ask#hopefully didn’t answer too late#it doesn't show me the dates i get these asks#my fav character#ive got soooooo many tho!#i default to inuyasha in times such as this#inuyasha is bae#kagome is luckier than a leprechaun that he entertained her contradicting foolishness#kagome is also lucky that he wasn’t 'eye for an eye' petty with her#kagome is DEFINITELY lucky he didn’t see her as an enemy to kill bcuz of those slave beads she keeps on him#shippo is lucky that Inuyasha isn’t like almost any other person of that period who would've just killed him 4being a nuisance or easy prey#sango lucky Inuyasha didn’t reciprocate her wanted death match over a misunderstanding#sango is lucky that Inuyasha didn't “deal with her” for the betrayal attempts#miroku is lucky Inuyasha didn’t kill him for almost succeeding in sucking him in the wind tunnel#Miroku is lucky that Inuyasha didn’t maim or kill him for stealing his jewel shards#Miroku is lucky Inuyasha didn’t maim or kill him for being perceived as an assaulter or possible rapist#Koga is honestly just lucky that Inuyasha didn’t continue to just kill him even with Kagome’s constant interference#Kaede and the villagers are also lucky#Honestly these people are lucky that he's not at all what they try to make him out to be or worse with how they bad mouth him or attack him#because he could be#but most ppl in the fandom aren't ready to talk about that bcuz it would mean acknowledging just how flawed the others are- including Kagome#please don't misunderstand and think i believe Inuyasha’s flawless#the only flawless thing about that man is his looks 🥵 lololol#i love Inuyasha because of his flaws and complexities and nuances#he's just never fully appreciated properly and often misrepresented through...incorrect gossip basically#biggest point of contention near everyone sees as fact: Inuyasha is a 2timer due to Kikyo and Kagome#that is blatantly incorrect because he was single until near the very end of final act#kagome catching feelings for a friend whose not open to recpricating those feelings don't make him a cheater

Chaos in Their Bones
Tumblr media
Ongoing Series
Synopsis: All your life you’d listened to your friend, Usopp spin wild tales about pirates and adventure. Pirates weren’t a thing that came often to Syrup Village, but one straw hat pirate and his crew changed all that the day they arrived. Now, you aren’t so sure if your sleepy little village was always pirate-free or if no one had been paying attention.
Pairing: Roronoa Zoro x Reader
Genre: friends to lovers, frienemies to lovers, slow burn (I hope y’all like aching) eventual smut
Words: 5k+
A/N: I told myself I wasn’t going to do this, so naturally I did it anyway. This is the first chapter in a planned series with a reader insert following the events of the OPLA universe. I sincerely hope that this is a story you all love as this is my first initial time writing for one of my beloved anime. But let’s be real, after seeing Mackenyu play Zoro (my fav) I knew I was going to be whipped from the start. The reader will go by “Doc” in this story at times, and later a nickname by Zoro himself.  As always, I hope you enjoy this. Much love, Jenn. Also, thank you @thegreatesttttttttt for indulging me.

The ringing of the bell thundered through the sky above. An upcoming warning of four words that would echo through the street's moments later.
“The pirates are coming!”
You could practically hear the rest of the town groan with a sigh. Their annoyance stunk up the streets as Usopp sounded the imaginary alarm as he usually did every day around this time. Maybe it was because you considered Usopp a friend that his tall tales and wild imagination didn’t bother you.
Instead, a sly smile tilted your lips as you continued to grind the seeds deep into the mortar. Mr. Edison’s gruff voice from outside your window reminded Usopp for the millionth time that he needed to stop as he sprinted past.
“What is that boy going on about?” Naan huffed.
You sent a quick glance behind your shoulder at the older woman who was currently folding the recently washed linens. All of them are used with a purpose to either staunch bloody wounds or for the simple purpose of relieving colds. Naan’s linens, like her home, were used for a multitude of healing services, with the only payment she accepted was that of the kindness of others around her.
“You already know, Naan,” you replied, your smile evident in your words. “It’s the usual afternoon reminder to stay on your toes.”
A deep chuckle came from behind you followed by the soft cough that came after.
“These toes can’t do very much standing. So, maybe tell your friend to give me a day of rest soon.”
“Usopp has done this every day for seven years. I don’t think anything anyone will ever say will make him stop.”
Even if you could get Usopp to stop, you wouldn’t be the one to make him. You weren’t sure how many people in town knew who his father was - or that he’d been a pirate. A father by suggestion, Usopp’s wild imagination could only recall small things from the stories his mother had been willing to share, and from those stories, even greater ones grew.
While everyone else may have found Usopp’s stories as an ever-present headache you knew they held a deeper meaning. They were the only thing he knew of a man he never got to know.
The sound of chair legs creaking across the floor cut you out of your thoughts. Just in time from the looks of the seed putty you’d created. A heavy thud on the boards informed you Naan grabbed her cane and the heavier shuffling of her feet that she was heading in your direction.
“What are you so intently making over here, child?”
Settling down the pestle, you reached over your workstation to grab a pot. You were going to need to fetch some water to bring everything to a bowl before you strained it into a jar.
“Water. I need to go get some water,” you murmured as you brought the pot down in front of you.
“Am I talking to myself?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, Naan. Did you say something?”
This time you did dare to look at her. Her deep-set wrinkles set impossibly deeper as she regarded your work from over your shoulder.
“Oh, I only asked what you were making that was stinking up my kitchen.”
Your eyes flew open wide as you took a deep breath in. You were sure the only thing you’d put in that maybe - maybe - smelled was the slippery elm, but you hadn’t even steeped it in the water yet. Naan must have read your panic before it began to stitch your brow together. Your eyes still helplessly peeled to the job in front of you instead of the chuckling woman behind you.
“It’s fine, child. I’m just teasing you.”
All your panic rushed out in a huff of air as your body finally turned to greet her. Your eyes instantly took in the very tired look of hers.
“You should get some rest, Naan.”
The two of you knew you meant well. You would never try and make Naan feel older than she already felt, except you didn’t give a damn about her feelings when you could easily spot the sweat on her upper lip. The way her body leaned more into the cane that supported her. She batted your concern away with a swat of her free hand. As if it would be enough to make whatever fear that gripped at your heart magically disappear.
“Don’t patronize me. I’m fine.”
“You are not fine. You're wheezing with every breath now-“
“I said I’m fine. Leave me alone and start worrying about whatever it is you’re making.”
“Well,  if you would stop interrupting me, maybe I could finish it!”
The irritation in your voice wasn’t hard to miss. Naan heard it too no doubt with the way her brow cocked as if begging you to repeat it.
The silence stretched uncomfortably between you. Naan wouldn’t even look at you - probably too scared to see your eyes pleading, full of worry for her to just go lay down.
Why must you always be so stubborn?
The question sat on your tongue and made your words form like molasses. You weren’t a child anymore. So, it begged the question of why you were still afraid to speak to her like an adult. It didn’t matter if what you said hurt her old feelings. Not when the thought of her not being around made your chest begin to spread wide like an aching chasm.
“You never did say what you were making.”
You pressed your tongue against your cheek while you debated if it would be worth it to try and argue with her. Of course, you were always the first one to relent and push it under the metaphorical rug.
“It’s a gift for Miss Kaya. Usopp told me her cough hadn’t changed and asked if I would make something for her.”
“Hmm,” Naan hummed in thought. “That boy is strange, but he is kind.”
“Not as strange as Kaya having an unknown illness the last few years and never seeking any aid from the town's doctor,” you grumbled.
Naan’s hand lightly clasped your shoulder in comfort - comfort you didn’t want to accept. Not only were thoughts of Naan being sick plaguing every ounce of free space in your brain but now so was Kaya. You’d only met her once when you were younger with Usopp and after her parents died that odd butler, Klahadore, kept her under strict observation.
In all the years you’d been with Naan, learning everything she could teach about healing, you’d found it odd that the staff never came to ask for help. You couldn’t recall a time when Sham or Buchi ever came down requesting any tonics or medicines from Naan, or for her to come with them to examine Kaya in the first place.
I wasn’t aware they were waitstaff and doctors.
You knew these thoughts would only dampen your mood until it turned completely sour. You just couldn’t stop the runaway train that was your thoughts from slipping back into questioning everything with the universe never giving you any new answers.
“How many times have I told you, child, we can’t make people get help. They have to seek it themselves and that- that is when the real healing begins.”
You were already bitter and that bitterness responded to Naan’s words in the form of an eye roll. One you were lucky the older woman didn’t see.
“It’s just not right.”
“Right or not, it’s not our place to go butting in.”
She stood behind you for a few more minutes waiting for a reply you didn’t give. You were done talking. Done trying to get her to understand that she was sick too and that all those years of molding words and actions to help others were what drove you to help her. To help Kaya. Only Usopp seemed to notice that something in her grand home wasn’t right.
Frustration drew tight across your chest causing your hands to seek support against the counter. For a split second, you imagined yourself splitting open and becoming two separate people. One being the doctor Naan trained you to be and the other something less controlled. Someone who was tired of listening but never being heard.
You listened as Naan began to retreat back to her table where the rest of the linens waited to be folded. You listened as another terrible cough violently shook itself free from her lungs as you focused on your work.
If you couldn’t help Naan you were just going to settle for helping Miss Kaya. Once you finished making Usopp’s requested medicine you were going to be sure he delivered it to her.
It was time a doctor paid a visit.
————
The shipyard.
Of course, Usopp was going to be here. Why you hadn't thought to come here first felt like a mystery all on its own.
In all the years you’d known him, Usopp’s routine hardly ever changed. He usually performed his usual pirate ritual just before he started his day in the shipyard. He was hired to care for and clean all of the ships housed within, however, and upon no real surprise to you, Usopp cleaned and polished the Going Merry daily.
So, it didn’t surprise you to find him already on the ship. What did surprise you were the three people standing with him steps away from the Going Merry, herself.
You didn’t feel alarmed in any way. Usopp was good with people - he enjoyed talking to anyone willing to listen. The man with the straw hat, who was grinning wildly in the direction of Usopp and then to his friends, seemed happy to listen. He was giving Usopp his full attention and whatever your friend was saying was exactly what Straw Hat wanted to hear.
The other two people beside him, however, didn’t seem to share in the excitement. Sure, the pretty woman with the orange hair was giving all the perfect signaling queues of a smile and nod to make it believable that she was interested in anything Usopp had to say. Did she probably care about whatever was being said? Probably not, but at least she didn’t look as sour as the moss-hair-colored guy-
Holy shit
Your feet stopped working. Your knees seemed to refuse to bend, to make any movement forward for the last few feet to close the distance to the group. For what reason? There had to be a perfectly good reason-
Nope. Thoughts gone. Head empty.
That was the best way to describe what was currently happening as your eyes stayed glued to the three-sword-wielding swordsman standing next to the woman.
Three swords? You wondered. Where does the other one go?
Maybe you would ask him if you ever summed up the courage to do just that. If you could just get your legs to function again.
In all the time you’d lived on Shell Island you were more than positive you’d never seen someone that looked close to him. Especially someone carrying around three swords or standing with so much purpose. Even as your eyes took him in you could tell he was pretending to be relaxed, but after years of mending bodies, you noticed the tightness between his shoulder blades. The ease he tried to display with a hand resting on the hilt of the sword wasn’t actually resting. Even relaxed, this man was ready to unsheathe those blades and use them at a moment's notice.
While the idea made you consider him a great swordsman, your heart also ached at the thought of feeling trapped and weary of others' intentions.
Your thoughts would’ve continued to run wild as you embarrassingly gawked at this stranger and his friends. All of that was ruined, however, when Usopp caught a glimpse of you between orange and green hair.
“Doc!”
Usopp’s excitement translated to a crazy arm wave and immediately caused all three of his newfound friends to face you. God, this meant you had to get your legs working. You had to physically move closer. You could do that. No problem.
Taking in a deep breath, you allowed a genuine smile to raise your lips in welcome. Luckily, your feet didn’t betray you as you moved the last few feet. You made a mental note as you got closer that the straw hat was meeting your smile with his own, while the other two regarded you with lackluster enthusiasm.
Great. They were the grumpy types of people.
“There you are Usopp,” you began cheerfully. “I’ve been looking all over for you.”
“You know, Usopp?” Asked straw hat.
You felt your brow crease in question as your smile wilted at the corners.
“I would hope so. We’ve known each other since we’ve lived here.”
“Impressive,” mumbled the woman.
Okay, maybe she wasn’t as friendly as you originally thought, but she was still definitely friendlier than moss hair. Who currently felt like he was drilling holes into your chest.
“Ugh, Doc I was just going to take these guys to visit, Kaya,” Usopp interjected.
He was still smiling - always smiling. His eyes darted to the three new faces before landing back at you.
“Why would you take them to see, Kaya?”
“She owns the shipyard and we-“Straw hat interjected, “Are in need of a ship. That beautiful ship behind us, to be exact.”
You glanced behind him to the Going Merry. Kaya’s family ship.
You shot Usopp a questioning glance that you weren’t surprised to see him ignore. He was up to something there was no doubting that. The issue was you weren’t sure what angle he was trying to play.
“Good luck with that.”
You did mean it. You didn’t think he was going to get it no matter how good-natured he seemed. That was still a family memory you weren’t sure Kaya would be willing to part with.
“Thanks!”
“Doc, before I take them over there do you by chance have what I asked for?”
You patted your satchel for good measure before you replied, “That’s why I was looking for you. I have it right here.”
Usopp took a step towards you, his hand outstretched in waiting for you to deposit the bottle. When you didn’t comply with his request he shot you a look of worry.
“You do have it right?”
“Yes, Usopp I told you I did. I just want to come with you to check on her myself.”
A look of worry dimmed the mirth in his eyes for one second. If you didn’t know what to look for you would have missed it entirely. You knew he’d been asking you for months to sneak in with him to visit Kaya. His own suspicions began to outweigh the doubt that plagued his heart with every heavy decision that needed to be made.
Deep down, Usopp knew if you were finally going to answer his request of sneaking in with him, it must be serious. A concept Usopp himself purposely tried to run from often.
“Wait, you’re a doctor? That is so cool!”
You needed to learn Straw Hat’s name because he was growing on you fast.
“I’m no-“
“She’s actually one of the best doctors in the whole East Blue,” Usopp beamed. “She’s cured this small village of at least two possible plague outbreaks twice already.”
You were willing to bet your eyes were the size of saucers. There was no way any of them would believe that kind of nonsense. There was absolutely no way-
“Wow, now that is really impressive! Sounds just like somebody who should be a part of my crew-“
“No!”
“We are not a crew!”
The absolute verbal whiplash you just experienced left your head reeling to pick up on every conversation. Straw Hat was practically turning into pure sunshine in front of you, while the other two were glaring like you’d sprouted three heads.
Geez, what a tough crowd.
“Ok, wait what?”
“It’s nothing he doesn’t mean anything by it,” the woman replied, a tight smile thinning out her lips.
“We don’t need someone pretending to play medicine woman to join us.”
Your eyes narrowed in on the now green-haired monster. He met your cold glance with his own. Whoever - whatever - he experienced in his life meant he didn’t find you the least bit threatening. He regarded you like an annoyance and you found yourself wondering why the universe made all the grumpy ones the most attractive.
If his lips pouted any harder he was going to have to rent a kissing booth.
“For your information, I’m not a pretend doctor.”
Whatever he was going to reply with was cut off by Straw hat who quickly pointed at himself. “I’m Luffy, and these are my companions Nami and Zoro.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Luffy,” you beamed letting them know your name in response. “But most people just refer to me as Doc because of Usopp.”
Nami clapped her hands together to bring you both back to the matter at hand. Kaya’s medicine. Their boat.
“Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, can we get going? We really should stop by and pay her a visit.”
“Oh yeah! Come on guys, I can show you the fastest way there.”
Usopp tossed down his rag and skipped backward to the crate where his own satchel sat.
“Great! If you guys will kindly follow me this way I can show you something really awesome.”
You wanted to smack some sense into him. Usopp always wanted to be liked - for people to spend time with him and enjoy it. Besides Kaya and you who humored him with his opulent imagination and ability to spin fables like cotton candy. These people, Luffy excluded, did not deserve his endearing desire for friendship. They were both giving off major chip on their shoulder vibes and you vowed to become an even bigger pain in the ass if they were unnecessarily rude to him.
They didn’t wait to know if you were joining them or even behind them. They all moved forward to follow Usopp, who was spit-firing a conversation at Luffy who easily seemed to match it with his own charisma. Nami and Zoro trudged behind them both and you brought up the rear.
You’d hoped at some point Luffy or Usopp would drag you into the conversation. Anything that would keep your wandering eyes from constantly burrowing holes between Zoro’s sculpted shoulders. If you didn’t locate some form of self-control soon, you were positive your brain would be sent spinning into a tangent about how martial arts training with weapons was a godsend. So, looking at your feet for the next few miles would have to suffice.
It was strange how the world between poverty and the rich was such an overwhelming force. The farther you ventured out past the town and into the privacy of the landscape that kept Kaya’s family home hidden, it was a wonder that anyone would know it was there.
There were endless strawberry fields that farmers planted on one side and potatoes on the other. Dozens of workers tended to their growth with their hard work and sweat until a wall of bamboo cut off any view. All you could see was an endless path swallowed in bamboo branches making the path more foreboding than you thought necessary.
When you finally came in through the front gates, their iron and mortar was a welcomed sight. The one thing that wasn’t was that stupid Well you’d grown to hate ever since you almost fell in looking over the side as a child.
“I’ve never seen a house this big before.”
Luffy’s admission sent your eyes up from your feet to the large garden entrance. And that damned well that sat like a mockery in the middle of the walkway to the front.
“It’s impressive, right? Kaya’s given me an open invitation to stop by anytime I want.”
Your eyes darted over to Usopp who was practically skipping with excitement as he and Luffy made their way over to the well. You wanted him to look at you, but you knew he wouldn’t. If he did, Usopp would only find you looking at him - full of questions - with a look calling him a liar. You would never want him to feel bad. It was never your intention, however, it was going to be more embarrassing if you all got caught and thrown out on your ass than just being honest.
“Wow. That’s pretty awesome,” Luffy breathed. His face was full of wonder as he continued to take in the large space. “All of this is just for one person?”
“Well…she lives here with a few other staff.”
“Yeah. A bunch of asshole staff,” you grumbled under your breath.
By the way, Luffy and Usopp were hanging over the side of the well - ick - neither of them had heard you. Unfortunately, your fellow rear buddies did.
“You don’t seem to be a fan of the staff?” Nami ventured.
You eyed her carefully. She came off friendly enough, but she wasn’t giving anything else away. The small smile on her lips wasn’t reaching her eyes. Instead, they were calculating and waiting for you to give her any information you were willing or unwilling to give.
Nami was incredibly smart and equally dangerous because of it.
“They do a lot of suspicious things,” you replied slowly, unsure of how much sharing was too much.
“I’m sure butlers don’t come harboring life-threatening secrets,” Zoro countered.
His hand shoved in a pocket while the other still rested on the sword. He regarded you the way adults do children making up fairytales. The way the townspeople looked at Usopp like a silly child always crying wolf. They both thought you were being silly, and you wish you could say their disregard didn’t make your chest cave in just a bit, but you never were a good liar.
“No, maybe butlers don’t,” you countered, “but people do.”
When neither of them showed signs of continuing on with the conversation you started forward following Usopp and Luffy. You didn’t care about whatever conversation Zoro or Nami were having behind you. They could’ve been discussing robbing the place blind for all you could care about.
You were worried more about the people than the objects inside.
“If you have an invitation, why are we going through the back way?”
Just tell them, Usopp.
“Oh, well I never go through the front entrance. This is more of a VIP entrance.”
“This guy is full of shit.”
“Yeah, but if he gets us inside who cares.”
Why was Luffy the only member of this merry band of misfits who weren’t incredibly grumpy?
“Usopp,” you called out to him in a warning.
He gave you a glance over his shoulder before he made his way over the giant lily pads without a reply.
Little shit, you thought as you realized he was very much choosing to ignore your existence. Did you blame him? Not really. You couldn’t remember the last time anyone had humored him this long and you were debating on if you should be the one to crush his newfound hopes and dreams.
Fortunately for you, you weren’t going to have to be the bad guy in that scenario. One already seemed to exist.
Just as Usopp reached the second lily pad, you knew something was wrong. The hiccup of an, “Oh,” that came out of him registering as panic. He was already turning back to stop Luffy from coming closer, almost begging him to go to another entrance - an extra special one - when he was interrupted by a knife plunging into the lily pad between his feet.
A very sharp knife. One you knew could’ve easily severed flesh or nicked an artery. Your blood boiled as you pushed past Luffy, your eyes darting wildly as Buchi stalked towards Usopp who stuttered past a greeting.
“What the hell are you doing here, Usopp?” He snapped as his hands lurched in to grasp the leather of Usopp’s top. “You know you aren’t welcome here.”
“I know nothing of the sort. I came to give Kaya an extra-special gift.”
You practically glided past the last lily pad when a sharp hiss cut the air. You didn’t necessarily need to look to see if it was Sham. You knew it was. She stood just off the first step from where they’d been disemboweling the hog, mop at the ready, and her teeth bared directly at you.
“He’s brought the doctor,” she hissed.
Buchi finally seemed to register your presence from behind Usopp and bared his own teeth in warning.
“You are definitely not welcome here.”
“A rather odd thing to say to a healer when your mistress seems to be suffering a mysterious illness.”
“An illness we are more than capable of handling.”
“I find that highly doubtful.”
With his hands still holding onto Usopp, Buchi leaned forward to growl - literally growl - in your face like a rabid dog. You wanted to poke him in the eye and were incredibly tempted to do so when a soft voice cut through the tension.
“Usopp! What a wonderful surprise!”
Everyone’s attention shifted as Kaya made her entrance on the arm of Klahadore. You took a step back and away from the two just so Usopp could twist himself free and walk towards the waiting mistress of the estate.
“I wouldn’t miss today of all days. Happy birthday, Kaya.”
“You remembered.”
My god, she was practically swooning and Usopp was eating it up.
“I could never forget.”
This feels awkward.
They acted like they didn’t have a captive audience watching them look at each other like two lovestruck teenagers.
It wasn’t hard to notice how Kaya beamed at him or how that attention brought happiness to Usopp. For as long as you can remember, even as children, Usopp always liked her. Sure, he would play it off as if they were just friends. There was no way she could see him that way, but when Kaya’s parents passed away three years ago what was between them seemed to change. Their feelings became something saturated in an understanding of loss. Usopp knew what Kaya needed because it was something he himself had never truly received.
So, did it bother you that she actually hadn’t greeted you yet? Not really. What did bother you, however, was the way Klahadore’s eyes slithered over to you. It made you feel like you were going to be sick.
“Usopp. Did you bring the doctor with you?”
Please, let me crawl into a hole and die.
There was something off about Klahadore. It wasn’t just because he made your skin want to completely crawl off your body. It was the way he sounded every alarm bell in your brain. The way your heart speeds up triggering the fight or flight response that was ingrained in your body's defense system. The way he continued to look at you as if you were a bug that needed to be squashed, only drove the feeling home.
“Oh, yeah. Kaya, I had Doc make you something for your cough. I figured it might be worth a try.”
God, he looked so happy. He was completely oblivious to how Klahadore seemed ready to smite you both where you stood.
You closed your eyes, taking in a deep breath. Maybe when you opened them he wouldn’t be staring daggers into your face.
Nope. No such luck.
“Oh, that is so incredibly sweet,” Kaya beamed.
Klahadore slowly set his hand out in front of him. The cold obsidian of his eyes never left your face as he spoke. “Please hand over whatever tonic you’ve acquired for Miss Kaya.”
You weren’t aware your hand was already in the satchel. Your fingers wrapped protectively tight against the cool glass of the bottle as you continued to stare at one another.
“Hand it over. Please.”
“No-“
Usopp’s hand on your shoulder stopped you cold. Your teeth ground tightly to stop your next words. You didn’t want to hand that asshole anything. Not when Kaya looked so damn pale.
Something is wrong.
The thought wormed its way into your brain until it gnawed at all other thoughts until it consumed every available spot. It was all you could think as your eyes continued to look over her frail frame.
Naan taught you that as a doctor, and as a healer, it was your job to fight for your patients. To always do what you could and what was best for their care. Was giving the medicine you made for Kaya to Klahadore best for her care.
No. No, it sure as shit didn’t feel like it.
Maybe that was why it felt like such a betrayal to take the medicine from your bag and drop it inside his gloved hand. You watched as his disgusting white fingers wrapped around the gray bottle and brought it up to rest closely to his chest.
“Now, Usopp we’ve had this discussion about coming here unannounced - and this time with a doctor.”
“Nonsense, Klahadore,” Kaya interjected. “They are my friends. What a sweet gesture it was, Doc to try and make me something. Usopp, did you come to tell me more stories about your adventures?”
“I can do you one better. I brought some of my crew.”
With a sweep of his arm, Usopp introduced Luffy, Nami, and Zoro who registered this gesture with sheer disbelief. Well, disbelief would be putting it mildly.
“Is he talking about us?”
Luffy sounded as confused as you felt.
“I’m sorry, but we do not have any room for any extra guests tonight, I’m afraid.”
“Oh please, Klahadore couldn’t they at least stay for dinner? It is my birthday.”
You hated how Kaya had to beg to have company that wasn’t her staff. You could vaguely remember the butler who was in charge before Klahadore had arrived. Mr. Thorburr had been an absolute delight and genuinely seemed to care about Kaya and her family’s wellbeing. If he was still in charge, you were positive he would’ve believed in letting Kaya outside to enjoy the garden or have friends stop by, even unannounced, to visit.
One day he was just gone and slowly the only staff that was left were these three assholes. It all felt awfully convenient or maybe you were just being petty because you disliked them.
The way Klahadore looked at her made your stomach turn.
“Anything for you, Miss Kaya.”
You wondered if he choked a little over each word as they traveled up his throat.
“Great!” Luffy shouted. “When do we eat?”
“You don’t. Not dressed like that. You will change and bathe before dinner. No exceptions.”
Everyone was willing to accept the invitation. The premise of a bath seemed enough to make Nami practically skip forward to be led inside by Sham. Your feet, however, refused to move. Usopp, Luffy, and Nami practically took the small stairs up to the patio in one giant leap. Your earlier dread from the day was back and something dark borrowed its way into your chest.
Something is wrong.
You were about to turn tail and run when you noticed Zoro stop at the edge of the stairs. His body turned slightly to eye Klahadore one last time before he turned to follow after his crew. It was small and barely lasted a second, but it was enough.
Zoro noticed something wasn’t right either and maybe, just maybe, he’d be the one to believe you. All you had to do was join him inside the house to talk to him. No biggie.
Taking in a deep breath you finally moved to follow behind Kaya and Klahadore. Your eyes intently following a particular green-haired swordsman and wondering how you were going to get him alone.
The showers seemed like a great place to start.

Hey gurl✨ I’m in my wife era rn so maybe some Shisui and/or Tobirama husband/jealous husband hcs?🫣 I loooovee your writing and tbh your thoughts are my thoughts so no pressure😩 If you not feeling it feel free to ignore me babe🧚🏻‍♀️
YOU HAVE FED ME SO GOOD MISS GIRL! under the cut for length
shisui
this isn't too relevant but I have to include it. it's too cute. I definitely see shisui getting married pretty young, like early 20s. if he finds his person he's going for it. probably gets a lot of shit for it from his family, but he doesn't care
loooong honeymoon period. in part because they're still a young couple but also... shisui is just a really devoted husband. he loves the married life. insists on kissing her goodbye every morning, eating together every night, stuff like that
LOVES DECORATING THEIR HOUSE are u kidding me. let's say they get a kinda shitty place right after they get married, and put a tonne of work into doing it up. he gets so into painting, building the furniture, even starts up a little herb garden in their kitchen
finds so many ways to drop his wife into conversation lol. he's down bad even after the honeymoon period ends, so he wants to show her off. his FAV is when she swings by his workplace to bring him his 'forgotten' lunch. he turns around to the rest of the guys like. yeah. that's my WIFE. isn't she hot.
very much a believer in keeping the romance alive. he wants to keep making the effort with her until the day he dies. veryyyy good at remembering anniversaries, scheduling regular date nights, etc. always makes sure she has fresh flowers in the house
obviously it isn't all perfect though. especially while they're young (and presumably both still active, high-ranking shinobi) their schedules keep them apart a lot. and this hits shisui really hard tbh. he hates coming back to an empty home after a long mission, knowing he might not even see his wife before he has to leave again
work is probably where most of their arguments stem from, actually. I don't see it being a regular thing, but it's easy for resentment to build in those kinds of situations. shisui is very torn between his love for his village, and his love for his wife, and the fact he can't prioritise both. thankfully shisui is a good communicator so they make things work.
in terms of jealousy... I don't see it being a common thing. maybe before they get married he tends towards it a bit more, but once she's his wife, why would he worry? she's his entire world and he knows she loves him just as much
the only way I rly see him getting jealous at all is if they're going through a bit of a rough patch for the reasons mentioned above. maybe they haven't seen each other in weeks, and they both get back from a mission on the same day. and there's some kind of event/function that evening that they have to attend
so they barely have a chance to acknowledge each other, before they're pulled apart again by the crowd. so if shisui sees some random guy getting a little too close and flirty with her, he gets more annoyed than he'd like to admit
even then though.. he's not necessarily jealous as much as he is upset. like goddamn just let this poor man have his beloved wife to himself for a night. in this situation he's more likely to behave more rashly than usual, and he might just make some excuses and take her home lol. he gets a little bit pouty until she gives him some attention
overall, though, he's very chill. he trusts her implicitly, and expects the same from her. they need to have a very honest, respectful relationship if he's going to wife her up
god okay and in old age they're so cute together. I bet they have a bunch of kids (probably accidentally tbh lol) so then they end up with a whole squadron of grandchildren. he's that fun grandpa who sneaks them sweets when the parents aren't looking. all the grandbabies want to sleep over at their house. and they LOVE it.
to sum up: very good husband. very relaxed, communicates well, makes her feel loved every day. why did he have to die I want to throw myself off a bridge.
tobirama
first of all. good job to this woman. wrangling tobirama into marriage is not an easy job. he's so fucking ANNOYING. it probably takes him years to confess he even has feelings for her, let alone ask for her hand in marriage
but once he gets there. it's pretty cute. he doesn't really act very differently for the most part - he'd already decided his heart belonged to her well before they married, and wholly committed. so his behaviour doesn't change much, and there isn't much of a honeymoon period. sorry. he's like marriage is just a contractual agreement why would it change anything between us
he does make a few little indulgences though. he gets this smug little look every time he introduces her as his wife. he's actually just a lot more prone to 'showing her off' in general, and more likely to show some physical affection in public. for tobirama that's maybe a peck on the cheek lol. but it's progress
he's definitely a lot.... gentler?idk. with her once they're married as well. he makes an effort to be more patient and less snippy, and shows his appreciation for her in a lot of quiet little ways. for example, he'll be sure to leave work on time no matter how busy it is if he knows she's putting a lot of effort into dinner that night. or if she spends a second too long looking at a new dress in the store, he's buying it for her
on that note. tobirama is such a provider once they're married. he does have that traditional idea of providing for his wife. he'll probably ask her if she wants to become a stay at home wife tbh. if she says yes, he still expects her to get out in the community of course. he'd love if she did volunteering work, maybe at the hospital or with kids or something. but he's also equally happy for her to keep working. power couple vibes very strong
they have a nice, quiet little house away from the village where no one bothers then and they loooove it. especially tobirama, his wife and their home are his sanctuary. everyone else gtfo
other than that, not much is really different from before their marriage. they probably actually lead quite independent lives, to the point where people don't even know they're married until tobirama drops it into conversation a few months later. they're very private and lowkey.
unfortunately for her, tobirama's paranoia also persists. he's a bit delulu sometimes lol and she knows this going in. but it does inevitably cause some issues, especially if she's headstrong (which is definitely the type of woman he ends up with)
he trusts his wife more than anything. he would never doubt her for a second. but other men? the enemy. not to be trusted. they're all dogs. it drives him absolutely batshit crazy to watch them ogling her, or god forbid trying to flirt with her. which is actually kinda common bc they're such a lowkey couple, so people assume she's single
tobirama isn't one to make a scene per se, but this definitely leads to a few awkward situations in public, and she probably ends up embarrassed a few times. and there's 10000% arguments behind closed doors. I don't see either of them being good with this lol. he acts like she's his political enemy he's ridiculous
but because he loves her so much, and he actually really wants to put work into the longevity of their marriage, he'll come around. he's a lot softer and more willing to compromise when it comes to her. but she can't point that out because he's mortified
over time, he chills out a lot more. they're one of those couples that just get stronger and better with time. they grow a lot together, and although they probably continue to disagree a lot throughout their marriage, it's always in a way that leaves their relationship stronger. and he only gets softer for her. people (hashirama) even start to point out how devoted he is and he can't even deny it. cute
overall a kind of difficult husband, because he is an exceptionally difficult man, but my god he loves her so much. he would do anything to make her happy.

Hello everyone! My name is Toby, I’m a beginner writer and love to make shit uber realistic for readers. Here’s all the info about my stuff!
——————————————————————————
Key:
Ships
Notices
Warnings
Fandoms
Baseline importance
——————————————————————————
So far I have three fanfics, a fourth is on the way.
All of my fics will be linked down below! They are wips, so please be patient. Each has their own schedule so make sure to read!
All fanfics will have nsfw, and I don’t mean the basic “stick penis in hole” shit. I mean detailed, loving, and non vanilla nsfw.
——————————————————————————
TROLLS:
The first one is my all time fav: Fliff! It goes into Floyd’s trauma, his healing, and realistic dynamics between the characters. This fanfic will be updated twice a week, it used to be updated every day but that’s not survivable long term for me ^^
The second one is Breek! Creek is in no way infantilized in this fanfic. I look at things in a psychological aspect and make damn well sure he’s not babygirlified. This fic goes into Creek’s trauma, Branch’s trauma, allll the trauma, a bunch of healing, and a little bit of angst. It’s updated whenever I feel, but it won’t be abandoned or rarely touched!
The third one is John Dory x Reader! In this it talks about JD’s trauma, some headcanons of his diagnostics, and a bunch of intimate stuff and heart to heart stuff. He is not glamorized in this fic, instead he’s recovering and in therapy. He also has a smallll teeny weeny alcohol issue, but he’s in therapy for that as well! The reader is a trans male, fat L if you can’t handle that. <3 It’s updated whenever I feel just like the Breek fic, but it won’t be abandoned or rarely touched!
The fics are interconnected, so if you see a ship or lore that’s in one of them, assume it’ll be mentioned or involved in the other!
——————————————————————————
CREEPYPASTA:
I am currently working on ideas for a rework of a Jeff x reader fic I read. It had a really nice plot but the execution was absolutely horrendous + it was abandoned. I’ll type more info as I update!

And with that…
!!Release the hounds!!
———————————————————
TROLLS:
Summary:
Floyd is forced into therapy after Branch takes him to his annual checkup since he's staying with him.
Branch's reason for sending him being that he notices Floyd's facade of "being fine" and totally not traumatized even toward a doctor. This leads to him sitting in therapy, which in turn gives him homework. Whats the first assignment you ask?
Making friends besides your brothers and Poppy.
Who better than Barb, the queen of rock, as a starting point??
Summary:
It was the last few weeks of fall, Branch heading to the forest to get the final harvest for the season. There were rumors of an animal lurking around the farm, he didn't realize that that animal was a familiar face.
Summary:
You're a metal/rock troll starting a new life in Pop Village. During one of your bonding activities with Branch, you notice a large creature in the meadow.
Why not pay the owner a visit??

re: my thoughts on laios’s sexuality (long post ahead lol)
let me start this post with this. first, this contains a lot of references to the new adventurer’s bible world guide book released last february. i can read japanese, but i’m sure they’re translated somewhere. general spoiler warning in case. also… i am ESL, so sorry for any grammar errors
second, if you’re on the team that insists laios doesn’t care about humans enough to form relationships, either read the manga again or at the very least read this thread.
last, please don’t chime in with your acearo headcanons on this post. there’s already a majority of posts here that insist laios is acearo and that anything else is impossible. i don’t like it the same way i don’t like when someone declares they hc marcille as bisexual to a poster who reads her as lesbian. i already have enough people here who declare he’s ace on my own art. at least people on twitter of all places don’t do this sort of thing to me. nothing in this manga is canon, you can headcanon anything i won’t get mad if you hc him as bi or something. just. don’t be weird on my post.
okay. trust me, i love women, and i love the idea of making my favs women lovers but the idea of laios being gay really appeals to me because of his background. this isn’t fueled by yaoi since i don’t even ship the only m/m relationship i bring up here, i just think it adds a nice layer to his disconnect with his own humanity
i do think laios has a very abstract relationship with his sexuality for a multitude of reasons. he grew up in a very conservative backwater village. he has a hard time recognizing his own feelings towards others just as much as vice versa. i don’t really care for the “laios is a monsterfucker” agenda people are pushing but i do think he’d engage in sexual thoughts in his own weird way, i won’t deny his deviantart fetish shit
as an autistic person myself, i relate to how he’d prioritize his special interest over social interactions. after all, he was fixated on monster food so he’s distracted from dark thoughts. he’s not an actual glutton
Tumblr media
he’s shy around women, but i don’t think it’s out of attraction. i just think it’s because he’s awkward and doesn’t want to be seen as a threat. there’s a couple of times when, out of armor, he deliberately tries to make himself look smaller and nonthreatening.
he didn’t show any interest towards ashivia (the hubby hunter girl marcille replaced) and just humored her because she wouldn’t leave him alone. his other party members thought he was giving her special treatment so he had to tell her he “doesnt want to give her special treatment anymore”(even though he never did), so she left
Tumblr media
ashivia did her best to butter herself up to laios and he didn’t care, but laios thought shuro was his bestest friend in the whole world because he was too much of a pushover to reject him. ironically… what ashivia did to him parallels what he was doing to shuro
also… yeah sorry i keep bringing up that one comic of laios saying if he were falin he’d marry shuro and then begging him to take him back to his country, or that comic of laios wondering why he doesn’t like him(and then the first two questions he asks the magic mirror was what if he or shuro were women). i don’t even ship them! but it’s not a reach to assume that he likes men because of this, even if it’s kinda played like a joke(after all,a lot of people like chilshi even though their ‘shippy’ interaction was played as a joke)
of course, given the setting, i don’t think knows he’s gay, he wouldn’t have the vocabulary to label himself. i do want to dance around with the idea of him forcibly confronting his own sexuality after years of yaad pressuring him to produce heirs lol. laios might not be cishet but he’s a king so he rdgaf about that right now. i’m open to him having female consorts for political reasons, but i don’t think he’s into women, is all.
before anyone brings up his succubus… god forbid an author makes hetbait. a part of the plot twist was that not-marcille wasn’t the only succubus enticing laios, his other party members were copied too. she was the only one who approached him. also… succubi aren’t always inherently romantic. once it realized marcille didn’t work, it switched to appeal to his desire to be a monster.

˒ ⏤ 𝐃𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐢 𝐎𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐮 ;
• ⮑ i feel like, he would love doing chores with you. Like chore dates /hj
• ⮑ like he’s in the kitchen, washing the dishes with you. While he dulled the dirty plates, and made a pile of plates. You rinsed the plates and the piles. He found it fun to do chores with you, he loved it.
• ⮑ he seems like the person who hates chores or duties, however he isn’t. Sometimes he could be lazy to do it, when he isn’t in a mood. He def listen to music while doing it.
• ⮑ he will probably play with the foam from the dishwashing liquid, and put some froth on your nose, for a laugh.
• ⮑ i think, while he scrubing the dirt of the dishes, at the same time he would, he puts some music to enjoy their moments together. (It’s song about sucide) he propose to sang the song, with him. How could you refuse, this guy who was such a tease to you
9/10, it’s pretty cute that he’s helping you with chores, without getting bored.
˒ ⏤ 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐮𝐲𝐚 ;
• ⮑ bikes dates, like he’s showing you his fav place at midnight.
• ⮑ like he’s taking to the countryside, late at night after a long day at work. You’re holding his waist, tightly as you sat on the behind him. As he start the cycle and began to move it forward slowly. The breezing air was going through your long/short.
• ⮑ The warmness of your held, making him smile slightly. Sometimes, on middle of the road, he would ask you if you’re doing okay, or wondering if you’re asleep.
• ⮑ he loves taking you to his favorite place, the landscape is always so beautiful. He does that, with a grin on his face he also does that after a stressful day.
• ⮑ the countryside is mostly a village is often a place where traditional ways of life are still practiced or, has rustic charm, with its thatched-roof cottages and winding streets. It’s so lovely, the ancient woods, which were still used to build houses, the trees and bushes which surrounded several villages. Lights illuminated their view, to better see the landscape. The stars shone brightly, and the moon was reflected by the sun.
10/10 it’s makes me feel sleepy, if someone does that to me, specially if i had a hard day.
𝐅𝐲𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐞𝐯𝐬𝐤𝐲 ;
If you’re a musician/violonist ;
• ⮑ you loved, music, and syncs melody and so does Fyodor.
• ⮑ don’t you think a violinist and a cellist, are the most perfect duo for each other ?
• ⮑ To calm down after a hard day, or you just want to relax with your partner. The music filling in the room, they didn’t need the lyrics, the intrusment was already perfect.
• ⮑ While you play violin, he plays cello with you, creating the most beautiful and elegant melody. The song was relaxing to both of your ears.
• ⮑ A harmonious, and tuneful melodious sound filled the room, Fyodor’s eyes was closed, enjoying the melody you made, with him. You and Fyodor were having fun, no matter what melodious music he started playing, you could follow him, or recognize the music without any problem. Once the music stopped, Fyodor opened his eyes again, looking at you and curve his lips into a grin. Fyodor had noticed, but not you. Nikolai and Sigma were in the same room, they were curious to hear such synchronized music. Nikolai was amused, as he clapped his hands, quickly, whereas Sigma clapped softly, while glaring at the excited clown.
idk what to rate him, i don’t even play instruments

ballroom extravaganza
author's note. my dudes ir might be my fav banner i’ve ever did!!
summary. he’s one step closer to you on the ballroom extravaganza
word count. 1563
warnings, genre. royal/medieval-ish vibes? kinda angsty if u look at it :) ;; lower class!dk, royal-ish!y/n, alcohol consumption
Tumblr media
the room was beautifully decorated. good ornaments everywhere: candlesticks, long curtains falling onto the wooden floor like waterfalls, the chandeliers. the railings and cornices on the ceiling shone with a goldish glint too; even the champagne in his glass reflected with it.
seokmin examined the dresses and suits of people surrounding him, all of them wearing the most exquisite and elegant clothing. after all such a ball was an opportunity to shine. he wasn’t any different – black smoking adorning his body, the brown hair on his head styled with gel.
nevertheless, he felt uneasy; he knew he didn’t belong here. no matter the clothes he was wearing or if his hairstyle was fashionable, it was all a cover. seokmin’s heart pounded with anxiety that eventually someone will discover that he’s a simple man from the lower class.
the champagne turned bitter in his mouth as he tried to drink his thoughts away. the taste of such exclusive alcohol made him realize it’s probably the first and last time he’s drinking it.
then he came to a conclusion that he’d rather be tonight.
seokmin made up his mind (rather seungkwan, his younger assistant, knocked some sense into his head… quite literally, with his fists) and decided to confess to you.
because truth be told, he knew you two wouldn’t form a relationship even in his wildest dreams. seokmin was a very regular lower class teacher from the countryside and you; oh, you. you were the daughter of a rich landlord who held an important role in the local government.
the sudden realization hit him like gust of cold wind and yet again he felt strange in this place, where everything was huge, expensive and out of his world.
seokmin felt grateful he could even look at it or at you.
he met you through jihoon, a musical genius who once was passing by seokmin’s village and heard him singing. that’s when they met – jihoon was amazed by his voice and singing abilities, nagging him to train. he offered to do it for free at the beginning since he knew that seokmin can barely afford new shoes.
soon enough jihoon took his pupil to his musical studio in the capital. pianos, guitars, flutes… even a harp! it all made seokmin speechless. but it didn’t leave him as half as flattered in comparison with your meeting.
the delicate sound of the harp filled the room, seokmin holding his breath. he watched mesmerised how one of jihoon’s students moved his fingers and ever-so-gently nudged the strings.
jihoon’s brows were knitted as he nodded, listening carefully. as a teacher, he was terrifying. as a private person… he was scary. but despite the cold mask, seokmin saw through him and noticed a pure, gold heart. he got here somehow in the first place, no?
suddenly, there was a sound of door slamming open which halted the peaceful atmosphere. jihoon let out a sigh and looked up, seokmin’s gaze following his. then, he saw you.
your face was so beautiful that he genuinely thought like he was hallucinating. the e/c eyes sparkling with excitement and a huge smile painting on your lips, h/c hair flowing elegantly on your arms. your dress was pretty too; even from the first glance anyone could tell you’re rich. the pinks and whites contrasting together, creating a princess aura–
“jihoonah, you bastard! why didn’t you tell me you’re back in town, you little rodent?!” you whined and seokmin’s eyes widened in shock. well, he didn’t expect - and met, so far - any girl behaving like that here.
jihoon stood up and walked up to you, placing a tender kiss on the back of your hand.
“ugh, can you not? we’ve talked about this before” you whined and the man just giggled.
“y/n, this is seokmin. seokmin, this is miss y/n. normally, she isn’t behaving like a spoiled brat but apparently she only does around me. now… joshua, did i tell you to stop playing?” the last question cut through air like a sharp knife. joshua, jihoon's student, quickly returned to play the harp. seokmin used this moment to steal a few more glances at you, visibly whipped.
“hello” you said shyly, realizing just now that jihoon isn’t alone. seokmin stands up and bows gently.
“it’s my pleasure to meet you” he grinned and it was so contagious that you couldn’t help but smile too.
“now, seokmin. remember when i said there’s a purpose for your presence here? you’ll be y/n’s new singing teacher. i will leave because of the upcoming opera in paris and miss y/n has to have a teacher. even though you’re not that professional, you do have a natural talent” jihoon announced, your eyes widening in shock.
“you’re… leaving?” you asked.
“me… a teacher?” seokmin muttered, flabbergasted.
suddenly the crowd had come to a halt, his eyes meeting yours across the ballroom. he smiled and you excused the person who was talking to you, approaching him.
looking beautiful, as always, his heart sped up. the puffy beige dress was elegant yet nothing too fancy to make you stand out. however, seokmin thought that you were the prettiest here; looking like royalty.
“min!” you grinned and bowed gently. all words and thoughts unexpectedly disappeared from his brain, vanishing into thin air.
“y/n… miss y/n” he stuttered out, palms staring to her sweaty. you sent him a reassuring smile.
“you must feel so… overwhelmed. you look nervous. and handsome too, by the way. let’s get some air, teacher” you put your hands together; even your posture being graceful as if you were a carved marble statue.
“no, no. i’m fine. i wanted to talk to you about one concern that… has been on my mind” seokmin finally managed to word out something. your brows furrowed ever so gently and you nodded.
“i see. i, too, have an announcement to share” a quiet mumble left your lips, almost getting lost in the rustle of the room.
now it was his turn to frown. you seemed rather upset.
“go first, please” you gestured with your head. he saw jihoon coming towards you.
“let’s go to the dance floor, i see a predator approaching” you giggled and before jihoon (the predator in question) could open his mouth, you snatched seokmin’s hand and landed in the middle of the dance floor.
“i shouldn’t… dance with you. what will people say?” he mumbled, putting his hand on your hip gently as if we was afraid that he’ll hurt you.
“i couldn’t care less, min. we’re friends. what was it you wanted to say?” you asked, looking at him through your eyelashes. he took a deep breath, hoping you didn’t feel how clammy his hands got.
“y/n, i think… no, i’m certain. i’m certain that i like you more than a friend” seokmin answered. if you were surprised, you didn’t let it show.
just swaying to the rhythm of music (that was slowly building up), you let the words sink in your mind. then he noticed your gaze wandering around the room, stopping upon a certain point.
“i- i know we wouldn’t work out but i just- i’ve been mesmerized by you ever since you bursted into jihoon’s classroom door and i can’t… can’t stop thinking about you” he breathed out, trying to save the situation.
the music tempo sped up a bit, you looked him in the eye.
“seokmin, you’re a really cute guy. perfect, if you think about it. caring, loves to work with kids, patient. and… it’s not- it’s not even about you being from the countryside” you smiled softly and when the music came to a climax, making the pairs come to a halt – and so did his heart too upon hearing your next words “jihoon proposed to me”
the world stopped. seokmin felt his smile disappear, air flowing out of his lungs. ringing in his ears got as annoying as a mosquito buzzing around his ear.
“he got filthy rich after the opera display in paris. my dad forced me to agree so… we’ll announce it today, hence the ball. and then…” you gulped, fingers drumming against his arms.
“then what?” he choked out. his heart just got crashed into millions of pieces that he will never be able to put together.
“then we’ll get married in paris and stay there. jihoon signed a contract with the theatre” you added quietly. staring at you, seokmin felt weak.
you know all the words to the play
but alliI wanted was you to stay
your time is running thin
'cause i'm falling through the cracks under your floor
“seokmin, i’m sorry but… i can’t say no” you said, voice cracking. it was getting hard to breathe but he managed to pull the best smile he coulf.
“i understand. you’re a part of me… now you’ll just be apart from me. but… it’s fine. good luck in the new chapter of your life” he hummed, heart aching so painfully he thought he’s dying.
he let you go, stepping aside.
you're one step closer to me
on the ballroom extravaganza
i know you won't find me anymore
i triеd to reach for you once more
seokmin walked away, deciding to leave the room. he only heard jihoon walking up to you. feeling your gaze burning through his back, he made a mental promise to not turn back.
but thе world came crashing to the ground.

Hey you, I'm here for Wolfstar raising harry recommendations 🤗
Hello!! I'm also going to tag @imsiriuslyreading because I know Lana was also looking for some recs!
This is by no means a comprehensive list, but these are some of my very favs:
Wolfstar Raising Harry
Ten Reasons (To Go To Michigan) by @greyeyedmonster-18 (I also love these two unrelated wolfstar raising harry microfics by the same author) — This is a Sirius raising Harry and meeting recently divorced Remus (who happens to be a writer) on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A must read! that's the art of getting by by sarewolf — Remus becomes Harry's guardian and they move to a muggle village in the middle of nowhere. Eventually, Sirius is freed and comes to stay with them, but can they get back what they once had? Honestly, majorly obsessed with this one, but watch out for the angst! Stealing Harry by copperbadge — In an alternate universe where Sirius Black never went to Azkaban, Harry divides his life between the Dursleys' house and Mr. Black's bookshop -- until Sirius realises what the Dursleys are doing to him, and takes him away from their care. This series is fucking amazing and actually spans several of the books!! Mr Mouse by TracingPatterns (which continues in their wolfstar raising harry series) — A lovely little piece in which a young Harry learns about grief.
Like Real People Do by third_crow (part of the coffee shop au series) — Sirius raising Harry, when he starts falling for local barista Remus Lupin. This is also a beautiful story about what it's like to live with epilepsy and I am extremely obsessed with this series. The Things I Did by Lolo_row — canon compliant, Remus gets custody of Harry and works to get Sirius out of Azkaban. A bit of angst, but tasty! the dogfather au by hollimichele — Harry was raised by his adoptive muggle family, when one day a big black dog shows up. His parents just thinks he's a stray, and Padfoot becomes the family pet (to keep an eye on Harry, and protect him from Voldemort). Eventually this morphs into Remus also coming into the picture.
Wolfstar Raising Teddy
the mayors of simpleton by @fruityindividual — Divorced wolfstar are co-parenting a very mischievious Teddy who is not about to let his dads stay divorced!! Honestly this fic is so funny, so heartfelt, so fucking lovely. It also features the most beautiful portrayal of a blind character that I ever seen. A must read! Of Memories and Milk Thievery by @mayescapade — Divorced wolfstar raising Teddy again! Wolfstar have been co-parents for years and they wont stop terrorizing/pranking one another. An Infinte Ocean by orphan_account — Single dad Remus. Remus Lupin knows two things--working and caring for his son, Teddy. When his babysitter sets up crowdfunding so Teddy can go swim with the sea turtles at the local animal rescue, Remus doesn't realise how completely their life is going to change. Especially when he meets Sirius Black, the weekend merman in the aquatic show, and someone who might convince him of love at first sight. Honestly a lovely piece, and it also features the Potter clan.
Other (raising both teddy and harry, wolfstar girldads)
Let's Play Pretend by MsAlexWP — My current obsession!! I can't tell you how many times I've read this. Single parent Remus and single parent Sirius meet at a play date and end up pretend dating so that the old women in Sirius' building (who basically stalk him) will stop trying to set him up. Neither of them can date at the moment, so what could possibly go wrong?? Ultimate comfort fic. Of Quiet Hearts And Thundering Dreams by TracingPatterns — This is single parent Sirius and single parent Remus, both having moved to a small village and meeting at Harry & Teddy's school. A Cup of Sugar by MsAlexWP — Again, they are both single parents. Harry Potter is recovering from surgery and facing the worst summer ever until a guy with the same crutches as Harry moves in across the street with his son. So lovely!! Hide-and-Seek by onehundredflamingos — Wolfstar girldads raising their adoptive daughter Cassie, who is also a werewolf. This is the story of her first transformation. It's soooo sweet! @industrations has done a bunch of wolfstar and Cassie art, which you should absolutely go and cry over!

— from avatar 2 : the way of the water (spoiler free!!)
˚。 𖠗 as a sweet gesture, you offered to dry neteyam’s hair after a long journey in the sea. in the end, your kindness was rewarded with a salty kiss.
contents. f! reader, the reader is matkayina + eldest child of ronal and tonowari, mentions of matkayina features to describe the reader, no use of y/n, mild profanity, friends → lovers, descriptive kissing scene, all fluff + wc. 2.0k
notes. i loved avatar 2 and developed the fattest crush on lo’ak and neteyam, so i had to come in clutch and write a fanfic of my fav sully ! this is also my first ever fanfic that i’ve ever published, i got too excited to post so it isn’t fully proofread, but i really hope you guys enjoy <3
Tumblr media
The sun was setting up for its rest. The glistening rocks were engulfed by the salty water, leaving residues of foam like the sea had left its mark on the land. Orange reflected off the waves— a beautiful sight to see. Though the ocean was a serene sanctuary for the Matkayina people, you had also come accustomed to its down sides. The tangy smell of ocean life clung stubbornly into the locks of your hair as you rose from the depths of an aquatic galore. In an effort to clean yourself, you ringed out the salty water that was nestled in your hair— causing a gush of water to fall beside you.
“Shit,” you cursed to yourself, shaking off the droplets that shedded from your greenish skin.
Not long before, the others had caught up with you, witnessing the disgusted features that permeated into your usual neutral face. Ao’nung couldn’t help but crack a smile, leaning over to whisper a joke to Rotxo— who suppressed a laugh. Your blue eyes suddenly shifted towards your troublesome siblings, rendering them completely silent and stiff. Now it was Tsireya’s turn to laugh, graciously walking over to your struggling form and running her delicate fingers through your salty locks.
“Big sister, you seem as if you hate the sea,” Tsireya teased as she latched more firmly onto your hair, more water spilling out. “Though you are our village’s best swimmer.”
Glancing towards your other side, you see the newcomers studying your frustrated movements and seemingly, anticipating your response. They noticed your blue eyes staring at them. The younger one, Lo’ak, shuffled a bit in the water and averted his eyes onto the boring sand beneath his feet to the orange clouds that casted above him. His older brother Neteyam, didn’t seize away from your gaze. Instead, he sneakily elbowed his brother from his poor attempt to act uninterested— earning an annoyed groan from Lo’ak. His eyes still on you throughout the whole scene. You couldn’t help but snicker a bit, deciding it’s best to give out some information about yourself to feed the curiosity of your new friends, especially for Neteyam.
“I do not hate the sea Tsireya,” You noted the perk of Neteyam’s pointed ears when you said that. “The water weighs down on your hair throughout the day and… the smell never goes away.”
Your words seemed to have sparked something within them, prompting the others to smell their own hair. From today’s adventure through the mounds of aquatic life, this would inevitably leave a strong scent of fish must— meaning smelly skin and hair. The forest people were expressive with their distaste. Lo’ak was the first to gag loudly, not used to the familiarity of the ocean. Neteyam, out of respect for the ocean, didn’t utter a word but the slight grimace that formed on his face said it all. Your siblings, very much used to the ocean, simply nodded in agreement, leaving everybody to ring out their own hair as more salty water was being released back into the ocean.
Neteyam silently dried out his dark braids away from the others. His movements were mediocre and it seemed as if his struggling efforts did nothing to solve his problem. Neteyam noticed your stare when his intense yellow eyes locked onto yours. It felt like the world stopped for a moment as if the both of you were silently communicating with one another. Then the sound of splashing waves became more distracting, forcing the both of you to return to your senses. Neteyam suddenly danced his long fingers through the air, signing to you. It seems that the sign language lessons you taught were actually helping the forest people.
Can you help me please? His lips moved along with his silent words, trying to memorize the language.
You shyly grinned towards him, signing back in response as you dragged your strong legs across the shallow waves. The soft sand beneath your feet tickled as you became closer to Neteyam’s presence. It strangely felt warm and welcoming. Finally, you stood beside the taller male, having to look up slightly in order to directly meet his eyes again. Intently, Neteyam looked down at you with a foreign softness— something you never saw from him before. It left you feeling a bit flustered.
“May I?” You faintly spoke, gesturing towards his neatly braided locks, reaching out slightly but hesitating to get any closer.
Neteyam only nodded, turning over to give you a clear view of his glistening back and completely soaked hair. Your eyes couldn’t help but admire his toned muscles, showing the remnants of his hard work and dedication as a warrior. His queue floated against the waves— you weren’t sure whether or not to dry that also but for now, you left it alone. Like Tsireya’s delicate fingers, you glided your own against his tight braids, pressing them until the squelch of water was heard. Neteyam hummed in satisfaction, though with his back facing you, his expression was completely unreadable. You repeated this motion for a few more seconds, the sounds of chatter and each other’s breathing filled the silence between you two.
“Thank you for helping me,” Neteyam was the first to speak up, his voice much more calm from his previous stern tone towards his brother Lo’ak.
“Of course, and I've seen that your sign language has improved from our last lesson,” There was a smile on your face as you recalled the fond memories of your one-on-one lessons.
You remember when Neteyam would struggle to form his words together without an awkward pause in between. How his fingers never bent properly that would completely change the meaning of its words. At times, you had to step in and tangle your soft fingers into his much rougher ones, articulating the correct words without having to verbally explain it again. Now, Neteyam could form small sentences a lot more fluently and it made you swell up with pride.
“It's because you’re a good mentor,” His voice lowered a bit as he said that, hints of teasing but also genuine gratitude.
You smirked a bit as you looked up towards where his eyes would be, wishing he was facing you. What did his face look like right now? Smug? Maybe even timid?
“Well I'm glad you’re learning our ways,” You replied in a neutral tone, trying to keep your composure as the upcoming successor as the tsahík of your village.
Twisting his braids in one swift motion, a surge of water fell against his stripped back— his hair completely rid of the rank odor and heaviness of the ocean water. Gently tapping his shoulder, Neteyam turned to face you. You swore his ears perked up a bit when he gazed at your lips for a second. Out of old habit, you fiddled with the colorful pearls and shimmering shells of your tiny garment. His features were similar to his mother’s, long dark lashes and a perfectly sculpted face. Neteyam’s eyes never shied away from you, regarding you with utter confidence but also a hint of uncertainty.
He slowly shifted closer and asked, “Maybe next time you could teach me how to swim as fast as you?”
To close the distance even more, you stepped closer to him, burying the sand over your feet in anticipation for what’s to come from Neteyam’s bold request. The water reflected the purple and blue blotches from the night sky, specks of silver shined brightly matched Neteyam’s white freckles. From the relentless teasing from the others, to the undeniable tension between you and the forest-born Na’vi— you wanted to finally take the initiative without waiting around.
“What if we make it a date as well?” Your voice was like silk to Neteyam, it made him shudder a bit.
Neteyam always dripped of composure and confidence. But when it came to you, he couldn’t help but feel like his trained limbs turned into a pool of putty. There was an alluring aura that you emitted. The way you held your head high in tough situations to the way you can make anybody laugh until they ran out of breath. You were also as skilled as him— maybe even more from all the adventurous stories you would share with him when you came by his marui. He was also one to stray away from anything distracting, whether it be Lo’ak and Spider bringing up the topic of girls or Kiri mentioning that someday he will meet his lifetime mate. All distractions, he told himself that. Now, in this moment on the calming shore, with you covered in the prettiest seashells and holding a gorgeous smile on your green face— Neteyam realizes that he needs to loosen up a little. A date sounded nice, especially with you.
“Sounds like a deal,” Neteyam dipped his head a bit, regarding you with a boyish grin.
His white fangs were in full display, making your heart swell in joy. Without second thought, you pressed a soft kiss against his warm cheek, catching Neteyam completely off guard.
“Then I’ll see you tomorrow then,” You sweetly whispered against his cheek, brushing your hand against the kiss mark as you turned towards the village.
But before you could take another strong stride, a powerful tug on your wrist forced you to be tucked into the warmth of Neteyam’s chest— your face squished against his striated skin. He pulled you away and with quivering lips, he leaned down to press a tender kiss onto your own balmy ones. Instantly, you melted into his mouth, wrapping your arms around his small waist to bring him closer. Neteyam’s large hand was nestled into the locks of your hair, pressing your face even more closer. His lips tasted like the ocean, salty and bitter. Both of your lips shyly moved in sync with one another, slightly sloppy due to both of your inexperience. You and Neteyam pulled away at the same time, slightly panting from the lack of oxygen. Neteyam rested his forehead against yours, the smile he had before never left his face.
“Hey, don’t leave without me,” His voice sounded so gentle and his breath felt nice against your face. “I’ll walk you back to your marui, okay?”
Still a little dazed from the kiss, you nodded in reply. Neteyam pulled away and held out his warm hand, which you gladly took. He led the both of you out the shore, back to the village that was still full of life and lit with colorful lanterns. You found the others lounging by the wooden pier, covered in fluffy fabric that helped dry out their wet hair and damp skin. Tsireya waved at the both of you, two pieces of fabric clutched in her hand, seemingly for you and Neteyam. Your younger brothers and Lo’ak regarded the both of you with sly smiles and kissy faces, laughter bubbled within the group that ultimately earned them a complaint from a nearby family resting in their marui.
“Skxawngs,” Neteyam shakes his head in annoyance, but there was a small smile that crept onto his face.
You could only chuckle at their childlike behavior, squeezing Neteyam’s hand a little more tighter as you guided him towards the pier— making sure both of your younger siblings don’t stir any more trouble before you could finally return back home.
“Next time, you’ll dry my hair,” A gust of the nightly wind adorned your beautiful locks of hair, somehow he couldn’t wait to help you with that offer.
“Of course,” His heart began to pump even faster. Neteyam never felt genuinely happy ever since his family took refuge in Awa’altu, but he did now.
A much larger crowd had formed around the pier, breaking the grossly romantic trance between the two of you. Still hand-in-hand, you guys rushed through the swarm of tall bodies to retrieve your younger siblings, lecturing them on the way home. Neteyam sighed in contempt. He hoped they wouldn’t ruin his date with you.

neteyam/lo'ak love triangle headcanons x reader
Tumblr media
warnings: a bit angsty but also super fluffy requested by anon <3 ↳ "hiiii luv, I honestly wanna live out my dream vicariously though my oc, could I pretty please request love triangle headcanons between neteyam and lo'ak and the oc. like both brothers are infatuated by the oc and try to win her over (fav trope)"
i'm back with your regularly scheduled sully boy content. i changed it from being an oc fic to being a reader insert so everyone can read! i hope y'all enjoy these <3
‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵
you were a child of tonowari and ronal - beloved by your village and devoted to protecting and serving your people - but you despised the pressure to be the perfect child
the pressure made you act out sometimes, craving freedom from the perfect image that suffocated you. you made mistakes, tried not to be the disappointment. you were clever and quick on your feet to recover from your mistakes. you could throw a huge celebration to honor your people, and then burn the village down. it was like you were both… perfect but always two steps behind
you felt like no one understood you. no one really.. until these two omatikaya boys showed up on the foot of your village beach. they were respectful, grateful that your family allowed them to stay
neteyam, the awkward and charming one, eldest to toruk makto. a true warrior, doted on by his parents, the next olo'eyktan to the forest clan
lo’ak, the charismatic and humorous secondborn son. striving to be like his older brother, but can never escape trouble
and you, being a mix of both. maybe that’s why you were all so drawn to each other in the beginning
lo’ak would try to impress you by being a fast learner, which would always come back to bite him in the ass, like almost drowning because he was so determined to get your praise and really listened to you and what you were teaching him, and as he improved he catching your attention
but you and neteyam were not friends at first. always trying to prove who was the better fighter, bickering any time you spoke to eachother, always having to fight with him about leaving your skxawng brother and his friends for picking on his sister
and that drew you closer to lo’ak. you both understood eachother - the want for freedom, the feeling of never being good enough, always being at the wrong place at the wrong time. you cold confide in him, and he could confide in you. you finally had found someone who had your back
the more time you spent with lo’ak, the more your feelings grew for him. he defended you, wouldn’t hesitate to punch someone out for you, always made you laugh when you were sad or comforted you when you were hurt. he was always there, and he wouldn’t be leaving soon
and then the skypeople first attacked. you were being held hostage by the RDA as bait to get jake sully to come out to pay for how he wronged them
neteyam had come to save you, lo’ak, tsireya and tuk from the warship
and because you were so keen on never leaving lo’ak, you ran head first into the warship to help him find his friend spider
they were shooting at you, and as you were jumping off of the ship, neteyam had shielded you from the bullets
he had been shot, but it wasn’t fatal. just landed right in his arm
when you returned to the village, you stayed in their home to help tend to his wounds because you felt like it was your fault he had been wounded
you were changing neteyam’s bandages when you noticed how he looked at you. his cheeks rosy and his lips slightly parted and his breathing sped up
he thought you were so beautiful. he never truly knew why you were so against each other, but he would always admire you from afar. the girl who loved her island, the sea, her people, the animals. you were a natural born leader and he was so astonished by how similar the both of you were
you would be lying if you didn’t admit he had always been in the back of your mind
the passion in your fighting, the lingering touches, the lack of hesitation when it came to protecting each other in battle
he wanted you to be his tsahik one day. he thought you both would be great leaders together
and you best believe lo’ak definitely picked up on the way y’all were eyeing each other up
he felt so betrayed, and of course began resenting his brother for taking something else away from him
since then neteyam had been more chivalrous. always holding out his hand for you to hold on to when getting down or to help you get up from sitting, offering his shawl when it got too cold on your weekly walks on the beach
really wondered why he was never good enough for everyone. he thought he really had a chance at something with you
you avoided neteyam for a bit to try to escape your feelings, went to find lo’ak
eventually you found him by three brother rocks playing with payakan
you didn’t understand why neither of them wanted nothing to do with you - you had always been there to swim and play with them in the water and now they were recoiling away from you
“lo’ak, please tell me what’s wrong! i don’t understand!”
“just leave me alone!”
“no! not until you tell me what’s happened!”
“why don’t you run back to neteyam, huh? i’m sure he’ll help you understand,”
and there it was. inside you could deny your feelings all you want but you couldn’t lie to him and tell him there was nothing there.
“but i’m here with you. i have no need to go back,” you tried to tell him but he would just push you away more and tell you he wanted nothing to do with you
and of course, you were heartbroken. went back to the village, your grief instilling a strong will to be the perfect child and try to ignore lo’ak and all of the trouble he was getting into
you ended up spending more time with neteyam doing your duty to the village - they were his people now too and he needed to show his parents and yours what a great leader he would be
he stopped you on the beach one night as you were walking - just taking a small break from all of the pressure and the spotlight of being the perfect children
he confessed to you there, pouring his heart out to you entirely hoping you would accept him and his love and how he would take care of you and make sure you knew how loved you were
he was so vulnerable. but deep in your heart you knew you couldn’t do that to lo’ak
you grabbed both of his hands firmly, and gently placed your forehead against his.
eye closed, voice cracking - “i love you too. more than words can describe. but i cannot do this,”
“it’s lo’ak, isn’t it?”
you nodded softly, trying not to burst into tears
he told you he understood, but he didn’t. all he could do was let you go
so you ran to lo’ak, ready to confess your feelings for him and tell him how much you missed him
and that’s when you saw him with tsireya. giggling and holding hands by a fire on the beach
you ran as far as you could the other way, finally letting those tears flow
from the corner of his eye lo’ak could see you fleeing. it took every bone in his body to stop him from running after you
besides, he had tsireya now. in his mind, you broke his heart. with her he could repair it and be happy.
you could’ve run back to neteyam, but it was too fresh to try to mend now. he would go find someone else to try to forget you as well and now you were back to where you began
you had lost them both. the relationships you had with your two best friends were crumbling right in your hands and you felt as though you couldn’t fix it. and that destroyed you.

I have this headcanon, that Sukuna, who is built like a tank honestly, whenever he has a longer pause of not ravaging villages and or if he‘s just not busy with anything, he‘ll become a bit chubby on his abdomen. You know his fav hobby is eating, too, so… yeah. I‘m pretty sure he‘d get a dad bod after a while 😆
