Today is April 10th and you know what that means- it’s once again time to celebrate one of the best little reptiles on the planet. April 10th is considered Gopher tortoise day!
The gopher tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus) is a keystone species and such a special gift to our ecosystems. I’ll be posting some of my favorite torts today in appreciation.
If you happen to live or own land in an area where this species is native, I recommend looking into how you can make your property safe for this gentle tortoise. You can even apply for a sign that declares your land as gopher tortoise friendly! I will definitely be doing this if I’m ever lucky enough to have a yard.

Things the Biden-Harris Administration Did This Week #32
August 30-September 6 2024.
President Biden announced $7.3 billion in clean energy investment for rural communities. This marks the largest investment in rural electrification since the New Deal. The money will go to 16 rural electric cooperatives across 23 states Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Together they will be able to generate 10 gigawatts of clean energy, enough to power 5 million households about 20% of America's rural population. This clean energy will reduce greenhouse emissions by 43.7 million tons a year, equivalent to removing more than 10 million cars off the road every year.
The Biden-Harris Administration announced a historic 10th offshore wind project. The latest project approved for the Atlantic coast of Maryland will generate 2,200 megawatts of clean, reliable renewable energy to power 770,000 homes. All together the 10 offshore wind projects approved by the Biden-Harris Administration will generation 15 gigawatts, enough to power 5.25 million homes. This is half way to the Administration's goal of 30 gigawatts of clean offshore wind power by 2030.
President Biden signed an Executive Order aimed at supporting and expanding unions. Called the "Good Jobs EO" the order will direct all federal agencies to take steps to recognize unions, to not interfere with the formation of unions and reach labor agreements on federally supported projects. It also directs agencies to prioritize equal pay and pay transparency, support projects that offer workers benefits like child care, health insurance, paid leave, and retirement benefits. It will also push workforce development and workplace safety.
The Department of Transportation announced $1 billion to make local roads safer. The money will go to 354 local communities across America to improve roadway safety and prevent deaths and serious injuries. This is part of the National Roadway Safety Strategy launched in 2022, since then traffic fatalities have decreased for 9 straight quarters. Since 2022 the program has supported projects in 1,400 communities effecting 75% of all Americans.
The Department of Energy announced $430 million to support America's aging hydropower. Hydropower currently accounts for nearly 27% of renewable electricity generation in the United States. However many of our dams were built during the New Deal for a national average of 79 years old. The money will go to 293 projects across 33 states. These updates will improve energy generation, workplace safety, and have a positive environmental impact on local fish and wildlife.
The EPA announced $300 million to help support tribal nations, and US territories cut climate pollution and boost green energy. The money will support projects by 33 tribes, and the Island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. EPA Administer Michael S. Regan announced the funds along side Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland in Arizona to highlight one of the projects. A project that will bring electricity for the first time to 900 homes on the Hopi Reservation.
The Biden-Harris Administration is investing $179 million in literacy. This investment in the Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant is the largest in history. Studies have shown that the 3rd grade is a key moment in a students literacy development, the CLSD is designed to help support states research, develop, and implement evidence-based literacy interventions to help students achieve key literacy milestones.
The US government secured the release of 135 political prisoners from Nicaragua. Nicaragua's dictator President Daniel Ortega has jailed large numbers of citizens since protests against his rule broke out in 2018. In February 2023 the US secured the release of over 200 political prisoners. Human rights orgs have documented torture and sexual abuse in Ortega's prisons.
The Justice Department announced the disruption of a major effort by Russia to interfere with the 2024 US Elections. Russian propaganda network, RT, deployed $10 million to Tenet Media to help spread Russian propaganda and help sway the election in favor of Trump and the Republicans as well as disrupting American society. Tenet Media employs many well known conservative on-line personalities such as Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, Lauren Southern, Dave Rubin, Tayler Hansen and Matt Christiansen.
Vice-President Harris outlined her plan for Small Businesses at a campaign stop in New Hampshire. Harris wants to expand from $5,000 to $50,000 tax incentives for startup expenses. This would help start 25 million new small business over four years.

Good News - July 15-21
Like these weekly compilations? Tip me at $kaybarr1735! (Or check out my new(ly repurposed) Patreon!)
1. Thai tiger numbers swell as prey populations stabilize in western forests
Tumblr media
“The tiger population density in a series of protected areas in western Thailand has more than doubled over the past two decades, according to new survey data. […] The most recent year of surveys, which concluded in November 2023, photographed 94 individual tigers, up from 75 individuals in the previous year, and from fewer than 40 in 2007. […] A total of 291 individual tigers older than 1 year were recorded, as well as 67 cubs younger than 1 year.”
2. Work starts to rewild former cattle farm
Tumblr media
“Ecologists have started work to turn a former livestock farm into a nature reserve [… which] will become a "mosaic of habitats" for insects, birds and mammals. [… R]ewilding farmland could benefit food security locally by encouraging pollinators, improving soil health and soaking up flood water. [… “N]ature restoration doesn't preclude food production. We want to address [food security] by using nature-based solutions."”
3. Harnessing ‘invisible forests in plain view’ to reforest the world
Tumblr media
“[… T]he degraded land contained numerous such stumps with intact root systems capable of regenerating themselves, plus millions of tree seeds hidden in the soil, which farmers could simply encourage to grow and reforest the landscape[….] Today, the technique of letting trees resprout and protecting their growth from livestock and wildlife [… has] massive potential to help tackle biodiversity loss and food insecurity through resilient agroforestry systems. [… The UN’s] reported solution includes investing in land restoration, “nature-positive” food production, and rewilding, which could return between $7 and $30 for every dollar spent.”
4. California bars school districts from outing LGBTQ+ kids to their parents
Tumblr media
“Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the SAFETY Act today – a bill that prohibits the forced outing of transgender and gay students, making California the first state to explicitly prohibit school districts from doing so. […] Matt Adams, a head of department at a West London state school, told PinkNews at the time: “Teachers and schools do not have all the information about every child’s home environment and instead of supporting a pupil to be themselves in school, we could be putting them at risk of harm.””
5. 85% of new electricity built in 2023 came from renewables
Tumblr media
“Electricity supplied by renewables, like hydropower, solar, and wind, has increased gradually over the past few decades — but rapidly in recent years. [… C]lean energy now makes up around 43 percent of global electricity capacity. In terms of generation — the actual power produced by energy sources — renewables were responsible for 30 percent of electricity production last year. […] Along with the rise of renewable sources has come a slowdown in construction of non-renewable power plants as well as a move to decommission more fossil fuel facilities.”
6. Deadly cobra bites to "drastically reduce" as scientists discover new antivenom
Tumblr media
“After successful human trials, the snake venom antidote could be rolled out relatively quickly to become a "cheap, safe and effective drug for treating cobra bites" and saving lives around the globe, say scientists. Scientists have found that a commonly used blood thinner known as heparin can be repurposed as an inexpensive antidote for cobra venom. […] Using CRISPR gene-editing technology […] they successfully repurposed heparin, proving that the common blood thinner can stop the necrosis caused by cobra bites.”
7. FruitFlow: a new citizen science initiative unlocks orchard secrets
Tumblr media
“"FruitWatch" has significantly refined phenological models by integrating extensive citizen-sourced data, which spans a wider geographical area than traditional methods. These enhanced models offer growers precise, location-specific predictions, essential for optimizing agricultural planning and interventions. […] By improving the accuracy of phenological models, farmers can better align their operations with natural biological cycles, enhancing both yield and quality.”
8. July 4th Means Freedom for Humpback Whale Near Valdez, Alaska
Tumblr media
“The NOAA Fisheries Alaska Marine Mammal Stranding Hotline received numerous reports late afternoon on July 3. A young humpback whale was entangled in the middle of the Port of Valdez[….] “The success of this mission was due to the support of the community, as they were the foundation of the effort,” said Moran. [… Members of the community] were able to fill the critical role of acting as first responders to a marine mammal emergency. “Calling in these reports is extremely valuable as it allows us to respond when safe and appropriate, and also helps us gain information on various threats affecting the animals,” said Lyman.”
9. Elephants Receive First of Its Kind Vaccine
Tumblr media
“Elephant endotheliotropic herpesvirus is the leading cause of death for Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) born in facilities in North America and also causes calf deaths in the wild in Asia. A 40-year-old female received the new mRNA vaccine, which is expected to help the animal boost immunity[….]”
10. Conservation partners and Indigenous communities working together to restore forests in Guatemala
Tumblr media
“The K’iche have successfully managed their natural resources for centuries using their traditional governing body and ancestral knowledge. As a result, Totonicapán is home to Guatemala’s largest remaining stand of conifer forest. […] EcoLogic has spearheaded a large-scale forest restoration project at Totonicapán, where 13 greenhouses now hold about 16,000 plants apiece, including native cypresses, pines, firs, and alders. […] The process begins each November when community members gather seeds. These seeds then go into planters that include upcycled coconut fibers and mycorrhizal fungi, which help kickstart fertilization. When the plantings reach about 12 inches, they’re ready for distribution.”

Ghost girl | prologue
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sully family x Albino na'vi!fem (for the moment)
Warning: All the characters are aged up 20’s, disaster, injured, death, neytiri being the mom we all need.
Note:I had this draft written, and it was taking dust. So I'm posting it, so you can read it and tell me what you think. You can see that I haven't paired the reader with any of the characters, and I think it's my first writing that the reader is not human. So I would like to know if you like it, and if so, who would you like to be Y/N's partner?
AVATAR MASTERLIST | Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5(final)
Tumblr media
You felt short of breath, the more you ran. A wave of fire was coming towards you. Holding your newborn baby in your arms. Turning to see your village being burned. You had to run, you had to get your baby to safety. The great trees that were once cold, were ablaze with flames. Climbing up a hill, fighting with your feet stuck in the snow. Resting a little, seeing how everyone was gone. The ships of those humans had destroyed everything.
Their ships were moving away, leaving a desert of fire in the snow. You can feel someone touching your chest, bringing you out of your shock. Your baby touches your chest, starting to cry. You hug him tighter, trying to find some consolation. Your family, your people…they were all dead. Two attacks in less than 6 months, just for a piece of land, just for having that damn mineral. Tears welled up in your eyes, you were heartbroken. It was all over…you were alone. You stood for a moment, analyzing the situation. You could still hear the sound of falling trees, the burning snow and the horrible smell of death. You had several wounds on your hands and legs. But they were not as worrying as the open wound on your right thigh.
You had tried to bandage it, before running out of your family's hut, as it burned. But it was barely covered. Groaning in pain, you sit down in the snow. You had to think about what you were going to do, you were alone. You had no home…those demons had taken everything from you. Holding your baby, closer. Kissing his hair. "Easy…easy" you speak. You had to get shelter, and fast. From your chest hung a beautiful green stone that your mother gave you minutes after you lost track of it. She had told you that there was a jungle clan, the Omaticaya. That they could help me, that it was the safest place. Taking the stone in your hand, to now take a look at the opposite side of the landscape.
You were from the clan of the icy mountains, the trip was going to be hard and dangerous. You were not a hunter, or an explorer. You were simply a girl who had lost everything. But you had no choice, rising from the ground. Bowing in respect. "Eywa…take care of my village, my people…take them with you. Promise them that we will meet again. I promise" you make the 'i see you' sign. Taking a last look at what was once your home, and leaving for the unknown.
The jungle was quieter than usual, the wildlife could be heard sounding. That's what neytiri thought as she walked in search of an animal. She had gone out to hunt alone. She had to clear her head, and spend time alone like the old days. Playing and touching some flowers, when out of nowhere he hears a small whimper. Her whole body freezes, raising her ears to listen better. That noise was not coming from an animal. She stayed silent, waiting to hear it again. A few minutes later, she heard the soft whimper again, someone was in danger. She was confused, it could be a human calling for help. Or a wounded na'vi. She didn't want to risk it if it was a human, she only socialized with the humans on the base, far from that nothing. But something told her she had to go see what was going on. Taking a deep breath, she walked slowly to where those whimpers were heard.
Peering carefully through the bushes, her eyes widen. When she sees a na,vi leaning against a tree. But that was not what was impressive, what had caught her attention. It was the color of this woman's skin, you had snow-white skin. Just like your hair, the stripes that adorned your skin were almost a blue that faded into your skin. Neytiri stood watching, she had never seen anything like this in her life. She was in a state of shock, it wasn't until she heard a whimper coming from the girl's arms. Neytiri looked down, seeing how she was holding the baby. But the grip was lazy, watching as the girl tried to move her arm, but it was too weak. Neytiri decided to approach carefully.
Neytiri holds her bow close to her, still being suspicious. Just to get close enough, to make you look up. Neytitiri felt her chest tighten when she could see how young the girl was. According to her she had to be the same age as her children. She let go of her bow, noticing that there was no weapon on any part of your body. But that you were injured, with burns.
You lift your gaze, looking at the woman. She was strange to your eyes, just as she was the first time you had seen a jungle na'vi. Looking down again, you were so exhausted. You had no strength to go on, your thigh wound was serious. And you had barely eaten in two days. You watch as the woman kneels down in front of you. "Who are you?" says neytiri. Trying to sound calm. "I…my name is Y/N te noeä pauzu'itan" you pause to catch your breath. "I am from the clan of the mountains of…cold" you speak, in a low tone. Neytiri moves closer to you, now all had some coherence. Her mother had told her something about these clans.
"What happened…why aren't you in your lands?" neytiri speaks, daring to touch a piece of your hair. Her maternal instinct, not allowing her not to help you. "They…they killed everything…everyone" you speak. "They?" asks neytiri. "The demons" you speak, neytiri hearing this word, tightens her bow. Closing her eyes, in response. Neytiri moves closer, looking at your wounded skin. And notices the large wound on your thigh. "We must heal it…I'll take you to the village" she speaks, watching as you awkwardly raise your arm. "No…I can't" you pick up your baby as best you can. Bringing him closer to neytiri. "Please…take care of my son. I can't" you are on the verge of fainting. "No…I won't leave you here" says Neytiri.
"I will die…I just want him to be okay…take care of him for me" your voice is very low. Neytiri notices how your hands are shaking, taking the baby in her arms. Watching as yours fall to your sides. "Thank you" you speak, smiling weakly. "I'm not going to leave you here" neytiri orders, getting up to think better. She had to plan something…in a matter of minutes neytiri created a sort of bundle, so she could hang the baby on her chest. Coming up to bend his back in front of you, taking your weak arms. Climbing you on her back, holding you tightly. She knew you could barely breathe, how weak you felt. Neytiri knew that if she left you, you would die in a couple of hours.
Starting her way back to the village. She walked as fast as she could, she had a baby crying. While carrying a girl on his back. She could have ignored her, but no…she could not. Getting closer to the village, taking faster steps. "We're close" neytiri says, waving your hand a little, hearing a 'mmm' in response. Good, you were alive. Entering the village, seeing how everyone was shocked by the scene, while neytiri walked fast to the hut where her mo'at mother was working. "Help, mother!!!" neytiri shouts, near the hut. Mo'at comes out quickly. To see how her daughter was carrying, what looked like a dead body. "This one" speaks mo'at.
"No…she's really hurt," says neytiri, watching as her mother begins to help her take the girl in her arms. Mo'at holds you on her arms, rushing to take you inside to treat your wounds. "I found her alone in the forest…she told me that her village was attacked by the sky people" says neytiri, she was scared. She tried to get there as fast as she could. Watching as her mother, began to examine your body. " She is from the clan of the cold mountains," says Mo'at. Mo'at finds the largest wound, and removes the dirty cloth. "I need to clean and treat this wound. I need the help of more people. Tell kiri to come" mo'at orders his daughter. Neytiri runs out of the hut.
She had the little baby on her chest, who had already calmed down, but she could hear some whimpering " calm down, we are taking care of your mother," Neytiri cuddles him, as she arrives to her hut. Kiri was with her sister tuk, talking to her father. They all see how neytiri enters in a hurry, she was agitated and you could see how worried she was. "kiri honey…come!!! Mo'at needs us" says Neytiri, Kiri without thinking about it gets up and accompanies her mother. "baby what's wrong?" shouts jake, from his seat. Noticing how neytiri ignores him and continues on her way to her mother's hut. Upon arriving, neytiri could see how mo'at had already started with everything, placing some medicinal pastes on the girl's skin. Kiri is surprised to see you, she has never seen someone like you before, but she doesn't ask too many questions. She feels her mother handing her something in her arms.
Kiri looks down, and sees a baby. Just like the girl they were healing. "Kiri hold the baby" says neytiri, approaching her mother. "Mom…will she be okay?" asks neytiri, she sees how your breathing is vague. But you are alive. "Yes…she's weak and I have to monitor that wound. But look" mo'at points to the large wound on your thigh. "I already put medicine in it…I need you to go get these herbs. I will make a drink to bring her vitality back" mo'at says, watching as neytiri ascends with her face, getting up to get everything her mother asked for. Mo'at watches as kiri is cooing to the baby, and began to wonder what such a young girl was doing alone with a baby. She could see that the baby was only a month old. Looking carefully at the girl's body, observing how on her neck hangs a green rock. Holding it in her hand, she had seen that rock somewhere.
After a rather agitated afternoon, neytiri was sitting next to her mother. Holding the baby, and kiri was next to the girl. "So what are we going to do with him?" asks Kiri. "I think it will be best if you take care of him…for tonight. She is very weak, I will take care of her" says mo'at, arranging a few pieces of white hair. Neytiri reaches over and caresses the girl's cheek. "Kiri…come let's go to the house" speaks neytiri. Kiri gets up, following her mother. Just as they were about to leave. "Neytiri…later I will come by your hut" says mo'at. Neytiri ascends, and leaves the hut. Looking at the baby in her arms.
Arriving at the hut, she finds to her surprise that everyone in the Sully family was there. Tuk is still small, so she runs to her mother. She hadn't seen her all day, but stops when she notices what her mom is carrying in her arms. "Is that a baby?" the little girl asks. Neytiri smiles, "Yes…and it's very small." neytiri walks over to where jake is. "A baby? where did you get that?" the man is scared and worried. Neytiri sits down next to him, moving the piece of cloth covering the baby a little. Revealing a totally white baby, his eyelashes, hair…everything. This causes everyone in the family to move closer. Including the two youngest men in the family. "That's…what is it?" asks lo'ak. Touching the baby's tiny foot. "I found a girl." Neytiri pauses, telling her family everything that happened. "Those bastards" jake says, the demons were just destroying…he was thinking to himself.
"I'm taking care of him…until she's okay" neytiri says. "but" she pauses…as some tears streamed down her face. "She is so young…I think she is the same age as you" neytiri looks at neteyam. The boy just looks at the baby that his mother holds on her chest. "and she's alone…I couldn't leave her there alone. She offered me her baby…she told me to keep him. Assuming she was going to die." says neytiri. Jake hugs her, and kisses her on the hundred. "You did the right thing my love…you're great. I bet that girl will be grateful" Jake speaks. At that same moment, everyone hears mo'at enter the hut.
"How is she?" asks Neytiri quickly. "She is stable…but she is very sleepy. I was able to give her the drink…she looks better" says mo'at. Kiri puts her hand to her chest, sighing in relief. " Mom…where did that girl come from?" neytiri asks, watching as mo'at sits in the familiar circle.
" The clan of the cold mountains…one of the most ancient clans. Great warriors and hunters. Their white skin, perfect for being invisible in their territory. Prepared to withstand brutal cold. Ghosts in white. They are not like all na'vis. separating in the far reaches of the mountains, to maintain their lineage. They carry a beautiful magic in their being… they are the favorites of eywa." mo'at spoke, watching as everyone listened to her intently. "Your father and I met them… making a pact of peace. They cared for us and we cared for them. But we never had another close call…not until now." Mo'at pulls from his pocket a stone. "This was given as a sign of peace…she had it around her neck. I guess she came for help" there was a silence in the room.
"She told me there was no one left" neytiri holds the baby tightly. Remembering how hundreds of her clan were wiped out, how their home tree was destroyed. And now they had to live in these caves in hiding. "I imagine the worst has happened…but we have to wait for her to tell us everything" mo'at speaks, reaching up to caress the baby's cheek. "Where is her family? Where is her mate?" mo'at asks. Neytiri falls silent, she too had many questions…but for the moment she was going to take care of the two of you. Until she could figure everything out.

Hi! Could I please request a 911 fic, please? Reader is Buck and Maddie’s little sister and is dating Eddie. She goes for a hike and falls, maybe just like a broken leg and concussion... but she has to call 911 and is freaking out a little and Maddie does her best to calm her down til the 118 gets there. Then lots of fluff with the guys. Maybe they show up at her apartment the next day to help her out with things and binge some tv with her. Thank you in advance!

summary: request
eddie diaz x buckley!reader
a/n: tysm for the request, hope you enjoy 💗
y/n thought it was common sense to not disturb the wildlife in the trail. there were signs everywhere, you had to be blind to miss them. blind or stupid, at least. she also knew that the group of teenage girls had ignored the sign, trying to run after the deer and scare them away.
it was her one day off. it wasn’t a huge day to go to the hiking paths, so she went when it wasn’t busy. however, the mob of juveniles came across like they were the only people to exist, shoving anyone and anything out of their way. y/n had fallen victim in their path of destruction. she had been firmly distracted on the panicked deer, being able to outrun their pictures and harassment.
stupidly, her food stumbled on a pit, twisting her ankle as she fell down the rocky hill. she felt the massive rock jab her head, leaving a pitchy ringing in her ears. the fall had turned her leg in ways that it shouldn’t turn. finally, after what felt like minutes of falling, she landed on her back on the dusty floor of the woods. she lay there panting for a few moments, hoping someone would have seen her fall, but there wasn’t anyone but the excited shouting of the girls. she basically had no other choice but to fish her phone out of her pocket. she was so discombobulated and facing pain that she could only manage to type the three numbers.
“9-1-1, what is your emergency?” the voice of y/n’s older sister came through the phone, making y/n’s heart race in relief.
“maddie! oh, jesus,” she groans. “so, funny story, i just fell on my hike and i bashed my head on a rock, and then my leg did a weird thing and now it hurts like a bitch so i don’t r-“
“y/n?” she could tell the panicked voice of her sister. “wha- ok, first, tell me what trail you’re on.”
“i’m on the northeast trail at brush canyon,” y/n informs, despite the throbbing ache in her skull.
“alright, i’m sending units to you now, but stay on the phone with me?”
“i will. god, those girls were just running like maniacs an-“
“hey, hey, calm down, y/n. you’re going to be fine, just don’t get too riled up, yeah? police and rescue are 3 minutes away from your location now.”
“thank you, maddie,” y/n says into the phone, starting to calm down and grow more tired.
“of course, that’s why i’m here. the police should pull up in a minute, i love you,”
“i love you too, maddie,” maddie hangs up the phone, leaving her to buck and eddie now. they came to check the safety of the trail after hearing about the pits, and the concerns of people tripping and tumbling down the hills. when buck saw his little sister on the ground, his heart stopped.
“y/n?” he shouted, sliding down the hill and next to y/n’s body.
“heyyy, buck,” she says, being given pain medicine by chimney. “oh, i fell by the way.”
“eddie!” he yells, calling for her boyfriend as he walks down to see her too.
“what the hell happened?” he asks, completely alarmed by her state on the ground. “hey, are you ok?”
“splendid. not the best hike, but i’ll just leave a bad review. and someone tell those bitches to stop running after the deer!”
“alright, she’s fine,” buck laughs, getting his sisters personality back as they lift her onto the stretcher. bobby allows buck and eddie to travel with her to the hospital, as her eyes close in the back.
“i’m not sleeping, i’m just resting my eyes.”
“y/n, you probably should sleep,” buck tells her.
“yeah, baby, you hit your head pretty good,” eddie adds. he smiles at y/n’s scrunched eyebrows and shut eyes as she just continues to fall asleep one minutes later.
the doctors had confirmed that she did fracture her patella, and would be limited in movement for a few weeks. she had a light concussion from the impact on her head, but she’d heal perfectly fine. it wasn’t really anything to worry about.
she returned back to her apartment with maddie, helping her carry her things back in with the crutches. “thanks, maddie.”
“don’t thank me, just please be careful now,” she begs. “i don’t want you to push yourself like evan did and get all worked up.”
“i’m fine, maddie, i swear.”
“ok,” she concludes. “i have to go to work, but if you need anything in the world, call me or buck or eddie and i’m sure someone will help you. are you sure you don’t need anything?”
“maddie, get out of my apartment and go to work. i am fine!”
“alright, i love you. i’ll see you soon,” she says, shutting the door behind her as y/n sits on the couch, leaning her new crutches against it. she finally gets settled watching some old random reruns from tlc, getting invested in it when she realizes that she has to eat something with her new medicine. she tries to figure out something, when she hears an abrupt knock on her door. she limps over with her crutches, revealing a grinning buck and eddie by her door with a bag of food.
“we come with food!” buck smiles. “your favorite! cheesecake factory!”
“you guys did not have to do this,” she says, letting them come in and placing a kiss on eddie’s lips.
“well, we wanted you to have anything you need,” eddie tells her.
“i appreciate, i really do.”
“good, so what do you need done?” eddie asks. y/n thinks about what she could get away with, and manages to make them clean her entire kitchen. they did it willingly, so it’s nothing but a win for her.
“perfect! now, come eat with me and watch this show i found,” she beams, crutching over to the couch and placing the bag of food in front of her on the coffee table.
“what are we watching?” buck asks, starting to crack open his takeout box.
“i’m not really sure, some guy making cakes in new jersey,” she presses the volume as the voice of the man comes through the speakers. she sits back with her plate of food, looking at her two favorite boys in the world.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It has to be a trap, there’s no way he would have left the door unlatched like that, right?
You must have stared at the door for at least an hour, waiting for Leon to walk back through and praise you for being his ‘good girl,’ but he never did. You mull over your options.
If it is a trap, the worst that will happen is he puts you in the timeout room, you know he won’t rough you up too horribly because he wouldn’t risk you miscarrying, right? If it wasn’t a trap, if he actually did accidently leave that door unlatched, this was your perfect opportunity to finally escape, especially now that you have a good idea of where you are.
You decide it’s worth risking, so you start to get a plan in your head. You go into the bedroom closet and find an old looking backpack and start packing supplies: a few bottles of water, some granola bars, bug spray and band aids. You find your sneakers and pick out a loose t-shirt and a pair of your jeans and put them on; you need to be as comfortable as you possibly could, you have no clue how long you’ll be hiking for. You realize it wouldn’t be a bad idea to find something to defend yourself with, not just from Leon if he happens to catch you but from the wildlife: black bears, coyotes and god knows what else.
You approach the front door, opening it hesitantly and poking your head out. You look around, trying to see if you see any sign of Leon out here, waiting for you. To your surprise, he’s nowhere to be found. Feeling confident that he’s definitely not here, you step out and follow the trail to the shed, hoping that you could find something in there to defend yourself with. Upon getting to the shed, you found the door was locked. You step back, giving the door a few fierce kicks before it breaks off its hinges, slamming to the floor, dispelling a cloud of dust as it lands.
You step in and immediately start looking around, eventually stumbling upon a collection of guns that Leon has displayed on a wall. You grab a smaller handgun along with a box of 9mm ammunition. You put the ammo in your backpack and you tuck the gun into your waistband after making sure the safety was on. As you start to walk out, you spot a red canister. You walk over to it, picking it up and realizing it was full of gasoline. That gave you an idea.
Taking the canister with you, you go back into the house and stomp into the timeout room. You open the cap to the canister and start pouring the gas all over the bed until it's empty. You go into the kitchen and start opening drawers until you find a pack of matches which, thankfully, had one match left. You go back into the timeout room, staring down at the single match in the palm of your hand, tears forming in your eyes.
When you light the match, you can burn away this nightmare.
You light the match, holding it in front of you for a moment before tossing it onto the bed. The force of the fire bursting to life knocks you off your feet, but you quickly regain your composure and run out the front door. Once outside, you stop and turn around. It doesn’t take long for the fire to spread to other parts of the house. Taking a huge sigh of relief, you turn back around, looking up at the sky to find the sun. You discern which direction you think South is in and begin walking. You have a long journey ahead of you to freedom.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
The meeting with President Graham lasted for far too long, in Leon’s opinion. He sat at the oval shaped table, chair leaned back and his arms crossed, looking unamused. It was him, a handful of other agents tasked with combating bioterrorism, the President and the newly appointed Secretary of Defense; he recalls that the dark haired man, an agent like him, sitting across from him is named Patrick.
Leon half listens as the Secretary of Defense goes on about the investigation of former Defense Secretary Wilson; the government was still trying to track him down but so far, all efforts to find the man were unsuccessful. Leon thought back to that incident a year ago and Jason’s words:
“I will show everyone what fear is. Then, then it will spread.”
Leon suddenly can see your face, the fear in your eyes as you look at him. Leon’s heart ached for you; as soon as this meeting was over, he was going straight home to you, to show you how much he loved you. After about another half hour, the President dismisses everyone. Leon couldn’t get out of his chair fast enough, however, Patrick soon stops him in the hallway.
“Hey! How’s it going at that house you got? How’s your girlfriend doing?” Patrick asks, his voice full of excitement; he is always starstruck by Leon.
“It’s good, she’s good,” Leon says flatly as he pulls out his phone to check it.
A series of notifications, from about two hours ago, made his heart sink: Motion Detected: Front Door. Motion Detected: Shed Door.
Fire Detected.
Leon’s eyes widen, he opens up an app on his phone to check the camera feeds, but he finds that all the cameras are offline except for the shed.
“I hate to cut this short, Pat, but there’s an emergency at my house. I have to go. Tell the President I’m sorry and give him my regards.”
Leon bolts out of the building, running to his Jeep and climbing inside. He peels out of the parking lot, his heart racing as he pushes his Jeep as hard and as fast as it could go. He gets back to the house in record time, only to find it engulfed in flames; it is a complete loss. He parks his Jeep, standing in front of his burning home and collapsing to his knees. He lets out the most agonizing cry out, tears threatening to pour down the sides of his face as he slams his fists into the ground. It’s not the house he’s upset about, no. That can be replaced. What destroyed him was that you were gone, again.
He takes deep, trembling breaths before he stands back up, he sees something out of the corner of his eye that gives him hope: footprints. They tracked about South-Southwest, deep into the forest. He walks back over to his Jeep, grabbing some supplies out of it and begins following the trail.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
The night was the worst. You couldn’t sleep. Every snap of a tree branch startled you awake, thinking that Leon had finally found you. You didn’t dare start a fire or anything in fear it would draw his attention to you. You imagine he’s back home by now and found the house burned down and is now looking for you. Just as the sun starts to break through the trees, you immediately set out, trying to stay on a Southern track as best as you possibly could.
You keep your eyes on your feet, nimbly navigating the rocks and tree roots that jutted out of the ground. You thankfully were an experienced hiker; this came naturally to you. At the same time, you kept your ears open, being attentive to every sound you heard in the forest. You have no idea how much time has passed, but you see the sun hanging high in the sky, beating down on you. You stop under a large pine tree to take a break, leaning against it as you take off your backpack, taking a granola bar out to have a quick bite to eat.
That’s when you hear a sound that chills you straight to your core; your name being called. The voice echoes through the forest. There’s no mistaking it; it is Leon. You’re shocked that he managed to track you down that quickly. Are you really surprised though? He’s a government agent; he’s used to this kind of work. With each call, you can hear his voice get closer and closer, so you run. You sling your backpack back over your shoulders, running as fast as your legs can take you.
Suddenly, you stop in your tracks, sliding until your feet stop at the edge of a large ravine. You look down, wide eyed, at the raging river in the gully below. You look around, spotting a tree that lay across the ravine. It’s risky, but it’s your only way across. You approach the tree, stepping up onto it and carefully balancing yourself across. You try not to look down, but you happen to glance down, the drop making you dizzy. You almost lose your balance, but you quickly correct yourself and manage to get yourself across. You step off the fallen tree, letting out a heavy sigh when you hear your name called again, this time, from directly across the ravine.
You spin around and to your horror, you see Leon on the other side, approaching the fallen tree to cross to get to you. You pull out the pistol from your waistband, turning off the safety and pointing the gun at him.
“Don’t come any closer!”
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
“It won’t end,” Leon hears Jason’s words once again echo in his mind as he watches you pull the gun on him, your eyes wide in terror, “you are here. You are a witness to this fear. And now you will help it spread.”
Leon closes his eyes, taking a deep breath as he steps onto the fallen tree to cross the ravine.
So much for that…
“Sweetheart,” Leon opens his eyes and starts taking a few steps forward onto the fallen tree, “listen, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
“I said… don’t come any closer!” you shout, tears welling up in your eyes as your finger hovers over the trigger.
“Baby, please!” Leon pleads, continuing to advance across the tree, “I promise I’m not mad at you. I’m not mad about the house, ok? I’ll buy us a new one. We can go back to Boston or D.C. or anywhere you want! Just you and me… and our baby…”
“I’m not going anywhere with you…”
“Babe,” a wicked smile starts to cross his lips as he continues to step forward, now in the middle of the makeshift bridge, “that’s where you’re wrong. You have my baby growing inside you, you’re tied to me forever…”
“SHUT UP!” You scream, pulling the trigger.
Leon watches as the bullet strikes just in front of his feet, splintering the wood from the old, rotten tree. He carefully continues to step forward. He watches you pull the trigger again, this time a sharp pain going through his right shoulder as the bullet finds its mark. He growls, reaching over with his left hand, gripping his shoulder; it quickly is covered in his own blood.
“You’re going to stop where you are, turn around and go back to where you came from. We are done.” you say, still pointing the gun at him.
“No we’re not,” Leon says, continuing to approach, “I am not losing you… I am not losing my baby.”
You fire at him again, the bullet once again going into the tree. Leon looks down, letting out a low chuckle as he looks back up at you, taking another step forward. However, with this next step, he hears the tree start to give under his weight. He attempts to leap forward, but the tree gives way before he’s able to and the last thing he remembers is your face staring down at him as he falls into the ravine.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
You watch as the tree snaps and Leon falls into the ravine; into the white rapids of the river below. You stare down at the river, dumbfounded, your eyes searching the rapids for him, but you don’t see him. You fall to your knees and break down crying. You probably just killed Leon. The horror of having potentially murdered Leon gives way to a huge wave of relief, the nightmare was truly over. You must have stayed there for over an hour, staring into the river, waiting for Leon to surface.
But he never did.
The sun starts to set, so you decide to set back off, heading south once more. Once it gets dark, you find a safe spot to set up camp, feeling safe enough to set up a fire to keep yourself warm. You stare into the fire, your body trembling from your ordeal. You still can’t believe you probably killed Leon, you can’t believe that your nightmare is over. That you’re free.
Several days go by; while you were sometimes startled by random sounds in the forest, your trek through the forest was uneventful. It had downpoured at one point, completely soaking you, your clothes and your shoes. You had run out of granola bars and water and you quickly were becoming dehydrated. One night, you settle down to get some sleep; however, you could hear sounds that immediately caught your attention.
Laughter. The laughter of several people
You immediately get up, grabbing your backpack to head towards the sound. After a few minutes of walking, you see a campfire and break into a sprint, bolting into a small clearing where you find a small group of people gathered around the fire. You stand there for a moment, looking at all of them. You must have been a sorry sight, your clothes dirty and wet, your hair greasy, soaked, matted and stuck to your face. You feel tears well up in your eyes as a wave of relief wash over you.
You finally speak, your voice barely a whisper, “please… help me…”
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
The following days went by in a blur, the group, which you found out was a group of college students, helped you out of Baxter State Park and immediately contacted Fish and Game, who in turn contacted the police after you recounted what had happened to you. You were rushed to the hospital, where you were put on an IV for your dehydration. They were able to confirm that you were, in fact, pregnant, much to your dismay, but you weren’t going to worry about that right now.
Police had come in to interview you as you stayed in the hospital to recover from your ordeal, you told them as much as you possibly could about what happened to you, however, not once do you mention Leon’s name.
Why are you protecting him? you ask yourself, he’s dead, it doesn’t matter now.
But deep down you knew if you told them that an elite government agent had done this to you, they wouldn’t have believed you. One day, you overhear a couple cops talking outside of your hospital room, saying how they didn’t find a body in the ravine that you pointed out on a map of Baxter State Park. You try not to let fear overtake you; you could have been mistaken where the ravine was. You saw him fall, there was no way he survived that fall.
A couple days later, you were released from the hospital and were greeted by your parents, who were so happy to see you. They drive you back to D.C., and you pass out, sleeping the majority of the way there. The following days go by peacefully, as you acclimate back to a semi normal life. You then start to talk to your parents about what you’re going to do with the child growing inside you, it’s starting to sound like adoption was the best option. However, your own body made that decision for you.
You wake up one morning to severe abdominal pain; you cry out, grasping your lower stomach as you sit up and toss the blankets off you. What you see is horrifying. Your bed and your pajama bottoms are soaked in your blood; you scream a blood curdling scream. Your mom comes rushing in to see what’s going on and immediately calls 911 upon seeing the blood. You’re rushed to the hospital, where you’re told you have miscarried. As you lay in the hospital bed, you can’t help but feel relieved. The last thing you would ever want was to bring a child into this world who was conceived under such horrible circumstances.
The doctors suspect it was due to the sheer amount of stress you had been under and the dehydration. You don’t doubt it. You can’t help but think about how horrified Leon would have been if he were here. Thankfully for you, he wasn’t. Once you are released from the hospital, you start the agonizing journey to heal yourself and to find yourself again after what you had gone through.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Three years later, Northern California…
You and your new found girlfriends drive down Route 1 in one of the girls’ convertible. You all joke and laugh as the wind flows through your hair; you couldn’t be happier. Your ordeal seemed so far away, especially since you decided to move West, as far away from the East coast as you could possibly go. You needed a fresh start. Neither of these girls knew what you had gone through. Someday, you would tell them, but not today. Today was for happiness and friendship. The girls’ names are Jill and ironically, Rebecca. You had met them at a bar one night and they welcomed you into their friendship with open arms.
Jill is driving and she pulls over in a scenic stop area so that you all could watch the sunset over the Pacific ocean. You all get out of the car and lean up against it, facing the ocean. You all talk amongst yourselves, paying no mind to the motorcycle that had pulled into the scenic stop along with you. After a few minutes, Jill stops, looking over at the motorcycle that’s parked over on the other side of the scenic stop.
She elbows you, “look at that handsome stud.”
You lean forward and crane your neck to see who Jill is talking about and your heart sinks. It’s a tall, blonde haired man leaning against a black, Ducati motorcycle. He wore a black leather jacket with white, horizontal stripes on the sleeves, black jeans and black boots.
He looks just like Leon.
You take deep breaths to calm yourself down and close your eyes, hugging yourself.
It’s not Leon, Leon’s dead, you watched him die. You’re safe.
You open your eyes to see the man staring right at you, you can tell he has brilliant blue eyes, just like Leon’s. He winks at you before climbing onto his motorcycle and starting the engine. Much to your relief, he drives off, getting back on Route 1. You let out a sigh, leaning back up against the car to stare back out into the Pacific ocean.
“He was quite the looker, wasn’t he?” Jill asks, elbowing you again and smirking at you.
Your eyes remain fixed on the ocean, your face blank and emotionless.
“Yeah… I guess he was…”

A/N: This series has been quite the journey for me. Not only did it kick start my return to Tumblr, it connected me with some truly wonderful people in the Leon Kennedy/Resident Evil fandom. I've made beautiful friends because of this series and I am so incredibly grateful. If this series was a movie, I always imagined The Summit by Spiritbox to be the "ending credits" song.
Thank you to everyone who has joined me on this journey, I appreciate every single one of you who have supported my work on here. Love you all!

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife confirmed that a female fisher, a mammal that was collected as roadkill in Ashtabula County in February 2023, was pregnant. Although that fisher did not successfully give birth, the results are a sign that fishers are returning to Ohio.
A fisher is a forest-dwelling carnivorous mammal in the weasel family. Fishers were extirpated from Ohio in the mid-1800s. In 2013, Ohio’s first modern-day fisher sighting was confirmed. Since then, there have been 40 confirmed fisher observations across nine northeast Ohio counties (Ashtabula, Columbiana, Geauga, Trumbull, Mahoning, Lake, Jefferson, Harrison, and Tuscarawas). Two-thirds of those sightings occurred in the last three years. Fishers are moving westward from established populations in Pennsylvania and naturally coming back to Ohio.
Fishers, such as the one here on a trail camera, have been confirmed in nine northeast Ohio counties through verified sightings. The fisher is a medium-sized mammal related to river otters and weasels.

Good morning love! I am SO excited for this event and you're prolly gonna hate me, but I'm all in for the angst right now (damn hormones!) so let's go with song selection of Burning House by Cam, with the one and only Billy Russo.
PS: my son's birthday is Sept 29th too!! <3
Hello my love!! Thank you SO much for following me, reading my fics and being such a kind friend to me, I appreciate you! ♥️ And happy early birthday to your son as well! ♥️
So I listened to the song on repeat one morning while getting ready for work and I had to dry my eyes a few times trying to put my makeup on. You really did go for the angst for billy, didn’t you! I hope you like what I did here and did justice to your ask. I’ll link the song at the end. And you know I could never ever hate you 😘
I know the song is called Burning House but the ocean also inspired this one.

Pairing: Billy Russo x F! Reader
Warnings: Angst, a lot of it, crying, death (in a way)
Word Count: 1.2K-ish
Summary: Your reoccurring dream haunts you every night. Maybe you said some things you shouldn’t have and wonder if you’ve made a mistake.
As always, thank you for reading!  I appreciate it so much and comments, reblogs are welcome and encouraged. Don’t be shy to tell me your favorite part. 💕💕 💕
The world was silent except for the lapping of the miniature waves as they calmly knocked against your body. There was a sense of peace to it yet eerie and unknown. The lack of sound encompassed everything, there were no cries for help, no erratic splashing, and no signs of rescue or wreckage from a boat.
It was just you…all alone.
There weren’t any stars to decorate the night sky, just like on all the other nights you had this dream. It was just a blanket of navy, the sky blended seamlessly down into the ocean with a silvery claw of a moon directly above you.
It was the only light against the darkness which wasn’t much.
But there wasn’t anything for miles, in any direction. No land, no light, and not a soul in sight.
These dreams, or more accurately, nightmares, had no real beginning, all you could recall was that as soon as your eyes opened inside the dream, you couldn’t breathe, you were struggling underwater and had to quickly swim to the surface before you ran out of air.
Once you reached the surface, you inhaled sharply to catch your breath, and frantically looked around for something or someone to hold on to but there wasn’t anything or anyone. There was only a vast space with nothing on the horizon from what you could see of it.
The weight of your clothing made it difficult to keep your head above water as you did your best to rotate your legs like an eggbeater, pushing the water underneath your bottom so your head would remain on top of the water.
The lack of wind created more silence which you didn’t know was possible and that’s when the fear and panic set in. Which direction were you supposed to swim in? Toward land? You didn’t see any!
The water chilled you to the bone which made your muscles tight like thick rubber bands and afraid to use them in fear they may snap in half. And who knows what lurked beneath your feet? It could be wildlife or rip currents…you shuddered to think.
But you had to at least TRY to save yourself.
The highly flavored taste of salt was in the air, not just in the water as it splashed against your lips. Gliding on your side, you forcefully pushed the water away from you, propelling you forward and hoping you were headed in the right direction.
After swimming for awhile, you could hear a faint call for help ahead of you. Was there someone else that was stranded and trying to get to safety? Or was your hearing deceiving you?
The faded ethereal glow of the crescent moon gave you some light and in the distance you could see a figure waving his hands in the air, the white shirt he was wearing made it easier to see him.
The man looked familiar and as you swam closer, you realized why. The handsome face, short well-groomed beard, with eyes and hair that matched the late night sky…it was the man you once loved, and his name was Billy Russo.
Your on again, off again relationship with Billy had become too much for you to handle and it was you who ended it this time but you said some things to him that were out of line and that he didn’t deserve.
But you couldn’t take them back, those words were hurtful and no apology in the world could make you move on and forget about them as if nothing happened.
You did it for selfish reasons, to make yourself feel better, and convinced yourself that it was the best thing for you to do. But in the aftermath, you regretted it, wondered if there could have been a better way to handle it, and you had been lost ever since.
Lost in your dreams of a dark, wide open ocean with no direction of where to go or anyone to help you get home.
But there he was, calling out to you for help, and you thought you could make peace and apologize in your dreams by saving him. But while you were free to try and swim to shore, he was confined to stay there…forever.
His ankle was chained to a weight that went straight to the ocean floor and no matter how hard you tried, there was no way for you to get it off and free him.
“Save yourself, sweet girl.” Said Billy, calmly.
His words slipped into your heart like a piece of broken glass, the ache in your chest would be permanent, and you’d never forgive yourself for it if you left him to die alone.
Billy had been alone for his entire life. He didn’t have family or friends except for the Castle family. He would tell you all the time that he didn’t need relationships or want them. “They make you weak.” He would say.
He kept coming back to you, though.
But his constant mood swings and fits of jealousy kept giving you whiplash and you finally had enough.
“You don’t give anyone a reason to love you. You don’t love anyone except yourself and that’s why you’ll probably die alone. You have to deserve to be loved.” You had said.
You were angry and you didn’t mean it but you couldn’t take it back. His physical wounds from his childhood and from war had faded, still visible but faded.
Those awful words you had hissed cut him more deeply than any bullet ever could and they weren’t true. When bones are broken, they heal stronger than they were before but a broken heart never quite heals the same. The pieces never fit exactly as they had before.
Your dreams were a way you could be with him, make everything right, and to make sure he wouldn’t die alone. They were a way you could fix it all.
Telling him to save his strength was useless, he would use his energy to kiss you and tell you he loved you and you reciprocated, using all of your energy to do the same.
Both of you were incredibly stubborn.
“I won’t leave you, Billy.” You would tell him. “Ever again.”
You and Billy fought tirelessly to try and stay above water but eventually, your strength was going to give out, the muscles in your arms and legs burned like white hot fire and felt like they had been shredded to pieces rendering you unable to keep yourself up.
You couldn’t hold on any longer, but at least you were together when the ocean finally opened up and swallowed you whole.
That’s when you would wake up, still confused, still lost, and still not knowing what to do. It made you sob every single time.
These chilling dreams would continue night after night until you fixed what was broken. Was it possible to fix it? Or was it too late? Would he forgive you? COULD he forgive you?
There was only one way to find out.
I've been sleepwalking
Been wandering all night
Trying to take what’s lost and broken
And make it right
I've been sleepwalking
Too close to the fire
But it's the only place that I can hold you tight
In this burning house

You covered your head in the white hood and left the building from the back part. The path already engraved in your brain from how many times you’ve escaped the fort that held your dad and his lackey monkeys.
You see, it’s been years since your grandfather destroyed the country and turned into something you could only imagine seeing in dystopian movies. He cut the connection to any other country, he destroyed basically every sign of vegetation and wildlife he could encounter. All because he could and he was an evil man. Ever since, your family is the one ruling whatever was left and the people that survived. But for everyone’s safety - and your own enjoyment - nobody knew who the family of the ruler was. When your grandfather was the ruler, your grandmother, as well as your dad and his siblings, were forced to be inside the fort. No one could leave or enter. It was a way of protecting not only the family but not giving the enemies the knowledge and power to enter the weak spot. Not that your grandfather cared, he was the one to kill his only daughter after he found out she escaped the building.
Your dad, on the other hand, cared a lot about your mother and your younger brother. You? Just a mistake. Women couldn’t rule, so he didn’t give a single fuck about you, which was great. For you.
You don’t care about your life, what was the point of it? You just want to live the day as if it was last, because it can be. You found your aunt’s diary when you were around twelve years old, and became obsessed with the idea of escaping the fort. So since then you’ve been doing it. And you’re already an adult.
It was during one of your night escapades that you met the group of rebels that was planning on dethroning your father. To say you were thrilled to go against your father but also be part of something was an understatement.
The leader was this tall, handsome, and alluring man. His voice was sultry, low, almost like he was always whispering even when he was screaming all kinds of filthy words against your family. You caught yourself going there more often than not, as if you were hypnotized by the man.
Over the course of the months you've been going there, a lot of the members of the rebellion tried to know more about you, to pry into your life and story but you just push them off by saying you’ve been living alone ever since your family abandoned you. Some of the days you don’t even go home knowing that they were following you, so you just sleep at the abandoned mall.
You were quite a mystery in that group, but a good addition none the less, your ideas always turned out to be good and helpful since you’ve known your dad your entire life and the inside knowledge helped, not that they knew it was inside knowledge anyways.
But that didn’t go unnoticed by the leader himself. He was as intrigued as everyone else by you, even his finest men couldn’t find anything about you. You weren’t registered in the country’s births for the year you said you were born or a couple of years before and after. You were a ghost. And Seonghwa wanted to know who you were.
So when you arrived at the meet spot that night and didn’t find anyone you got scared. Were you trickered? Did they find out about your origins? Were you going to be executed?
“Hello? Is anyone here?” You asked, your voice almost echoing in the empty place. “Wooyoung? San? Mingi?” You called for some of the rebels you’ve talked the most but still no one replied. You got up at the improvised stage that usually Seonghwa spoke and started to play as him. “These dirty motherfuckers want nothing but to destroy us. They don’t give a fuck about us the poor. They just want to sell that disgusting powder food of them” you said as you were talking to the rebels. “They are nothing but the scumbag of humanity. They just want money and power. The ruler doesn't even care about his family. Why would he care about us?”
“How do you know he has a family?” The familiar sultry voice scared you, your body turning to the side where the sound came from, finding a relaxed Seonghwa, his arms crossed on top of his chest as his tall figure leaned against one of the pillars that held the place up.
“Don’t you think he has a family?” You asked, trying not to sound too caught up by his presence and his questions. Was he testing you? “After all, when he assumed no one knew that he existed, what stops him from doing the same?”
“You have a point, miss yn” he walked towards you, stopping in front of the stage, arms crossing again. You walked towards him and sat on the edge of the stage, staying almost face to face with him, your feet wiggling in the air. “You are a rare figure, do you know that?”
You tilted your head genuinely curious at the man. “How so?”
“You appeared out of nowhere in our group, you have no family, no place to live and no register in the country’s systems. Who are you?"
“I’m not registered?” That was new to you. But it made sense, your dad wouldn’t risk putting you or your brother in the registers, it would be too easy to track you down. He denied. “So you went after me huh?” You smirked at the man, who simply put his hands into the pockets of his pants. “Are you that interested in me, leader?” He rolled his eyes at your question. .
Was he interested in you? Sure, you were an intriguing being, a lone wolf in this messed up place you called home, smart, smarter than most of his men. Combined. And to say he didn’t find you attractive was a lie. The way you swayed your hips when walking or how your flesh was squeezed whenever you hugged some of the others when celebrating a plan that worked. The way you smiled or laughed at some of the jokes that were cracked to break the ice of the seriousness that they were dealing with. Or how your ass looked so squeezable and spankabe whenever you bend down to grab something. He was indeed interested in you, in both your story and your body.
“I guess I’d be interested in a ghost if I’ve seen one as well” you answered yourself after his silence.
“Are you telling me you’re dead and just a soul wandering around?” You smiled at him, he wasn’t usually playful, always so serious, so seeing him being slightly funny with you made your pride swell and give you a confidence boost.
“That’s exactly what I’m saying. I'm a mirage. You imagined it all” he chuckled at the way you swayed your arms.
“If you’re a ghost how can I touch you?” He smirked at you, taking two steps closer, but still not touching you.
“Can you, sir?” You challenged him, hands resting on your sides and holding the weight of your upper body, legs slightly open and relaxed on the edge of the wooden stage.
He felt like a winner, you were biting his bait just like he wanted. Little did he know that you knew the game he was playing and you were more than excited to play with him.
Seonghwa took another step, this time staying in between your legs, and gently laid his right hand on your knee. “See? I can definitely touch you” you chuckled.
“That’s what you call touch?” You got yourself up and grabbed both his hands, laying on your thighs. He instinctively squeezed them, making you smirk. “See? Like that is better” your fingertips slowly went up his arms and you could see his hairs shiver with the touch. “Have you touched someone else before?”
“Many times” he answered proudly. Men… always the same. “Have you ever been touched?” You smiled remembering your escapades with your dad’s soldiers. They were dumb but at least did whatever you told them to. You nodded.
Seonghwa finally took his hands out of your thighs and grabbed your waist, squeezing the flesh and bringing you flush against his body. You could feel his semi-hard cock under his pants and wondered if he got even bigger when hard. The thought made you bite your lips, which didn’t go unnoticed by the man that rubbed your lower lip with his calloused thumb, the tip teasing to enter your mouth for you to suck but never did.
“And have they ever made you cum?” You chuckled at his question.
You leaned over his ear and let a breathe out, tickling his ear before speaking “Bold of you to assume I’d even let someone leave before making me cum at least twice”
“Is that a challenge?”
“Does it sounds like one for you?” you kept looking at each other, the intensity of it making you burn inside, you were sure your wetness was passing through the thin materials of your pants.
His long fingers went under your hoodie, feeling your warm skin shiver with his touch, the tips squeezing the skin, pretty sure the indents of his nails would be a mark for tomorrow. You instinctively sighed at the feeling and his reaction was just to chuckle at your desperation. “Before we start I just need you to tell me one thing” you nodded, eyes never leaving his. “Are you sure you want to do this?” You nodded again. “I need words, princess”
“Yes, I want to” you bit your lip again, consent never felt so hot.
Seonghwa replaced your teeth with his, biting your lower lip before sucking it and starting to kiss you. You expected him to be hushed, to kiss you with desperation but no. He was soft, gentle, kind, it was such a nice contrast to his chapped lips. And a big contrast to how needy you were. His hand kept massaging your skin under your hoodie, squeezing and bringing you even closer to him. Your legs wrapped up on his waist, your core rubbing slightly with the now even bigger tent in his pants. A little whine left your lips as soon as he disconnected your lips to attack your jaw and neck.
“Can you feel it, baby? What you have done to me” he grinded on you and you felt your pussy squeeze on nothing. God, you felt so ridiculously horny for this man. His voice in your ear was like a feather, slightly touching you but still making you shiver from head to toe. If it was sultry normally, now, full of lust, was even more velvety. He kept lowering his kisses and love bites, marking your neck and chest, you definitely would have a hard time hiding it from your parents. Not that they even cared. But a little care never killed anyone.
Seonghwa stopped his ministrations and moved away from you a little so he could grab the hem of your hoodie and pull off of you, leaving your bare breats exposed to him. If once you had any ounce of self-doubt or shame it went out of the window with the way he growled before attacking one your breasts, kissing it, sucking it, biting it. His teeth grazing your niple and biting a bit harder so he could pull a little before letting it go, the stinging sensation only adding to your experience as you threw your head back and let a low moan leave your lips.
He stopped his ministrations on your chest so he could pull your face close to his again, foreheads touching and eyes staring at each other “I wanna hear you moan, I don’t want you holding your sounds like you did just now” he bit your ear, making you shiver before adding “I want everyone that passes through here to be able to know that I’m fucking you good” you nodded, eyes meeting again. “Such a good girl you are, aren’t you?” you eagerly nodded again.
You’re never the one to submit, always used to boss around the men you’d fuck, making them beg for you to touch them and making them eat you out until you came. But Seonghwa was different, there was something about him that made you a puppy around him, eager to do what he says, to be and do good for him, to impress him, make him like you. It could be your daddy issues speaking louder but you couldn’t care less, all you wanted was for this man to destroy you.
He stroked your hair, hand slowly sliding to your neck, holding it on the sides without applying any pressure. “So why don’t you be a good girl for me and get on your kness?” you could feel like a cold snake going down your body, taking shivers wherever it touched with the way he talked to you. You left the stage and kneeled in front of him, his tall figure hovering over you and you couldn’t feel smaller. He ran the tip of his fingers on your face and hair and you closes your eyes enjoying the touch. “Now put that smart mouth of yours to some use, eh? Suck me” you were dazed, your body reacting by instinct as you pulled his pants and underwear together, his penis finally getting free of the confiments of the fabric and hanging hard in front of you.
Never in your right state of mind you’d think a dick was pretty, but Seonghwa’s was a sight to be seen. He was on the bigger size and it was thick. You saliveted imagining his girth splitting you open when he fucked you and your legs stinctively rubbed together and you could hear a little chuckle that came out of the man’s mouth when you did. You finally grabbed the member in your hands, excited with how big it looked in your hands, and took a squeeze. You licked his slit, the salty tasty of his precum touching your tongue before your started licking it’s sides slowly trying to wet the length. While one your hands stood on its base, holding a bit tight, the other went to massage his balls as you kept licking it stroke by stroke like a popsicle. Seonghwa grabbed a handful of your hair and guided your mouth to finally suck him, which you gladly did. You started to bob your head, each time trying to fit more in your mouth. When the tip hit the back of your throat it was the first time he moaned a bit louder, grabbing your head again and looking down at you, that looked up with the most innocent eyes you could convey.
“I really wanna fuck your mouth, princess” you nodded, holding his tights and looking at him one more time as a confirmation. He grabbed your head by your hair, holding you im place before starting to move his hips slowly, but as soon as he heard the filthy sounds of your mouth on his dick and the spit falling to the sides of it he lost and started to fuck your mouth fully. You tried to breathe through the nose your mouth was too busy gagging on him, his tip hitting the back of your throat repeatedly. “Fuck! You’re so hot like this” he managed to say through his grunts, right hand caressing your face softly as he cleaned the tears that started to fall. “Just a little bit more, princess. I wanna cum in your mouth and I wanna see you swallow it all like a good girl” you nodded freneticaly, holowing your cheeks a bit more as he kept using your mouth like his personal fleshlight.
As his grunts and moans and whispers of princess started to fall more repeatedly from his mouth you could feel your pussy starting to pulse as well, his moans were so hot and you were the one causing them, you couldn’t help but be extremely turned on by the ego boost. Not only that, but anyone could walk at any minute and see you devouring his cock. With a few more thrusts Seonghwa finally came in your mouth, a bit of his semen falling out of your mouth and landing on your chest. You swallowed the thick liquid and showed your empty mouth to him proudly. “Such a good girl for me. If you keep like that I might reward you” you smiled at him, eyes hazy from pleasure.
He pulled you on your feet and started to lick his own mess on your boobs. “Fuck, Hwa” you managed to moan. The scene alone was too hot for you, he was cleaning his own cum and your spit from your chest. He was filthy. In all the good ways.
The man got on his knees and took the rest of clothes you had, his hands squeezing the skin of your legs and going up to your mons pubis, caressing the soft skin and eye-fucking you. “Now here’s how we gonna do, you’re gonna rest your back on the edge of the stage, open your legs and put one of them on my shoulder” you did as he told you to, anticipating what was about to come. He smirked at you before without any warning or preparation attack your clit with licks. You almost fell from the sensation but your leg on his shoulder held you in place. His mouth kept working wonders on you, from his thick lips sucking you, to his long tongue licking you up and down, spreading his saliva and your wetness all over your vulva. Your hands held the edge of the wooden stage, knuckles turning white from how hard you were holding not to fall. “You taste heavenly, yn. I could eat you out all day” you don’t know how he managed to speak but you were too turned on to care, the coil in your stomach starting to grow as he kept his ministrations. “Now I understand why the men gave you at least two orgasms, I could give you so much more just by tasting this delicious pussy of yours” his hoarse voice mixed with his dirty words made you moan louder, one of the hands finally leaving the stage to hold on his hair, pushing him closer to your core.
He started to enter the tip on his tongue inside your vagina and you lost, finally coming without a warning on his face, moaning his name like a prayer but he didn’t stopped. He moved his tongue to your clit again and finally inserted two fingers inside you. You lost your balance almost falling on top of him with the sudden intrusion added to your sensitivity post orgasm. “Se.. Seonghwa… More, please”
“More what, princess? Tell me what you need” the vibrations of his words on your clit and the rapid pace of his fingers send you over the edge instantly, your second orgasm threatening to explode.
“Dick.. I need your dick, please” your head hung back as he darkly chuckled and started going faster with his fingers. Your mouth opened but almost no sound left, you were already completely fucked out and he had even fucked you properly yet.
“Cum again for me, baby. Cum again and then I’ll give you my cock” you nodded rapidly, a string of ‘please’ leaving your lips as he added a third finger and you finally came again, this time stronger, your legs finally giving out on his shoulders but thankfully he was there to hold you. He gently placed you on top of the stage, getting inbetween your legs and wiping the sweat out of your forehead. “Are you sure you still can take my cock, princess? You seem tired already” you denied with your head, hands circling around his neck as you kissed him.
The kiss was once again calm and gentle, like your mouths were meeting each other again after many years and cherishing the sensations of the other. You sighed against his lips and brought your body closer to his, chest flushed against each other and warmth irradiating from both bodies. He deepened the kiss, invading your mouth with his tongue as his arms held you flush in your place by your lower back. You two made out hapilly for a while until your bodies started to grow impacient and horny again.
Without separating your mouths, he guided the tip of his member into you, slowly entering your vagina. You moaned against his mouth, face scrunching with the sudden intrusion. You were right, his girth was gonna rip you. The man didn’t say a word, but you could see by his smirk that he was feeling himself with the way you almost didn’t take his cock, stretching you open just for him to ruin you for the next men that even though of getting near you. Not that just his mouth alone hadn’t done the job.
When he felt your walls pulsating around him, he started to move slowly, being careful to not going too fast to quickly otherwise he wouldn’t last long just by the way you were squeezing him inside you. “Breath deeply, princess. Look at you, taking my cock so well” you nodded, fingers holding his shoulders. “Are you cock drunk already? I barely fucked you and you are already cock drunk for me?” you nodded again, a whine leaving your lips as he started to quicken his pace a little. “I want you to remember today, baby. I want you to remember my cock everytime you’re going to fuck those stupid men again”
“Hwa…” you moaned, head hanging low and resting on his shoulders. “I want you, only you to fuck me, please…” you choked on a moan as he sudenly started to piston inside you, his arms holding your legs open even wider, the lewd noise of skin slapping echoing through the empty room as he fucked you into oblivion. “I’m… close…”
“I can feel it, princess, me too, cum for me so I can fill you up” you threw yourself back, lower body falling almost with a thud and arched your back. With a few more thrust and dirty words by the man, you came undone on his cock, almost no sound coming out of your mouth as he kept fucking you even faster before stopping by a halt and letting his seed paint your walls.
His body fell on top of yours, his weight comfortably reminding you that you were alive and everything was real. The following silence making you feel comforted, at home, like you never felt before. Not even at the meetings. Maybe it was the warmth of his cum and softening cock inside you, but you never felt so full, physically and emotionally. And that scared you.
After a few more minutes of you both getting your energy back, he finally came out of you, a whine leaving your lips at the sudden emptiness and wave of cold air that hit your body. He grabbed a cloth from God knows where and cleaned yours and his mess, before handing your clothes for you to put back. Even with jelly legs you managed to finish the task.
He pushed you against his chest by your lower back, a smirk on his lips before he spoke “I hope that from now on you don’t fuck that stupid soldiers of your father again”.
“I won- Wait what?” you blinked at your scared expression, like a deer caught in headlight. “You always knew?” he nodded. “I…”
“What? You thought we were too dumb to know that? You came out of nowhere, no registration, clothes made with fabric that nobody under here has access, always glowy and healthy”
“So why didn’t you guys killed me?” you asked genuinely dumbstruck. So all his talk about you being intriguing was a lie? The sex was a lie too?
“Because you are much more worthy alive than dead, at least for us”
“So you were using me this whole time?” he nodded.
“Yes but not so much” you tilted your head in confusion. “You see, we dind’t know who or what you were until your first plan, your informations were very valuable to us, but until that day, you were just another rebelion” you looked at your feet, not knowing how to feel after all. Seonghwa grabbed your chin with the tip of his fingers, making you look at him. “Might I ask why you decided to rebel against your father?”
“He’s not my father, at least he doesn’t consider me his daughter and don’t consider him my father, I’m a woman, I can’t rule after him” you sighed and kept going. “Not that I want anyways, I hate this place and I hate this system, I wanna know the world, I wanna know different places, different people, I want to leave this country that lives like we are stuck eternally in the past. I hate my grandfather for doing this and hate my dad even more for still doing this. Those selfish bastards. I hope they rot in-” he cut your rant with a kiss and just then you realized how angry, sad and desperate you were, tears spilling down your cheeks as you finally allowed yourself to be weak and vulnerable. He held your face between his hands and looked into your eyes, foreheads touching each other.
“Let’s make a deal, you, me and the rest of the group are gonna dethrone your father with your help from the inside and when that happens, I’ll take you to meet the world, ok?” you nodded. “But you gotta promise one thing first”
“What?”
“Just fuck me from now on”
“Oh that it’s a promise I am more than glad to keep”.

Maybe you can do Snow White for the fairytale thing where the hunter reader is walking in a forest and trips on one of the dwarfs and accidentally kisses Snow White which makes Snow White think they are their true love
The forest was a mystical place.
Anyone with functioning eyes and a boundary with reality would agree. As the sole human resident of the land, you have bore witness to a plentiful share of oddities, but nothing could ever prepare you for what was to come the day after. Mermaids and winged creatures. Giants and fairy folk no bigger than your palm. You developed a tolerance to these beings, but all paled in comparison to the utter headache you gained that fateful day.
The day had begun with you scouring the forest floor for stray branches. A good source of kindling for fires, and keeping out trespassers with varying warning signs and contraptions. With your eyes in the dirt, the events unfolding around you go unnoticed until its too late. Twisted, gnarled trees with hides the color of burnt lumber shooting upright and flourish with a radiant, pinkish glow. The sudden abundant growth of flowers and wildlife. Two harrowing signs of what you were soon to come across.
You start to realize as a squirrel runs by your foot. Narrowly avoiding stepping on the rodent's tail by a hard, you watch the rodent carry the flower in its mouth up a tree and drop down onto a glass container in the middle of the field. It drops the plant over the slumbering face in the coffin and joins the rest of the animals in mourning for the lost soul. As literal tears fall from their eyes you step back - looking for an exit that's already gone. You were not prepared for this.
Every now and again there existed those who didn't heed the warnings. A young woman on her way to her grandmother's. Children abandoned by their parents and taken in by a witch. The forest centered around these individuals and made their lives something out of a picture book. You've experienced this before and they're nothing short of living through a nightmare. You can't return home until their stories are over and sometimes that can take up to years. You never age, but you feel every waking moment to this day.
Who knows how long this time will take? The time isn't a major factor, but you rather not waste a second in this hell. If you wanted to leave on your own accord, you had to do things yourself.
You walk over to the coffin. A young person rests within. Their skin is as pale as fresh snow, rose kissed cheeks the only drop of color to their frozen face. They wear commoner clothing, but the crown tucked into their hair and necklace around their neck tell a different tale. There's a strange lump in their throat, flexing with every minor breath they take. Their lips hang open with the ragged draw of air they suck in, airways clearly blocked.
The forest animals tear into the safety of the trees as you toss your axe aside and shove the lid off the coffin. You drag the unconscious figure onto the forest floor and bend them forward, patting their back with pressured blows that increase in force as they spit and wheeze. When that doesn't work, you get behind and wrap your arms around their chest - thrusting upwards with your forearms. The blockage flies out with the fourth push, the stranger limp in your arms as their breathing controls to a stedy flow. Their eyes flutter open with the most doe like expressions as a faint smile creeps onto their face.
"My love?..."
You shove them off you and try to stand, but they ground you to the floor with surprising strength. Their cold hands grip at your face, moving stray strands of hair and wiping at the dirt that coated your skin. It's never been more clear to you how callused your hands have grown until their porcelain flesh comes into contact with your own.
"I knew you'd come for me... As the apple's curse took hold I didn't fear for a single moment because I knew you'd be there."
You shove their hands away as they ghost over a scar beneath your right eye. "Listen, I'm glad you're okay, but I'm not your lover."
"Oh, but you are! My family always told me true love's kiss is the only-"
"I didn't kiss you. You were choking on something and I got it out. This should be over soon so I should be going."
You try to get up again - this time their nails stop you.
"It may not have been a kiss, but there still is a contention between us. I feel it. It was fate that led you to me... Don't throw our chance at true happiness away."
"I told you- I'm not interested!" In an attempt to distance yourself from their claws, you reach for your weapon that was no longer in the vicinity. A short man with pointy ears wields your axe instead. The tool is bigger than his whole body, but he handles it well with the help of another. There's about seven of them in total. When they notice your puzzled stare, they point it at you.
"What are you doing with our Snow?"
"I'm not doing a thing. I'm trying to get home."
The formerly unconscious individual deem as Snow pins you in a chokehold to their chest. "Everyone! My spouse has found me. Like the stories go, true love's embrace has healed me. With their aid I will be able to return home and take the throne from my step mother, and we will bring a new era of peace to all."
The dwarfs break out in cheer which you quickly shoot down. "I am not who you think I am. I'm sure your real prince or... princess is on their way as we speak."
Snow gasps. "Oh no. I think the curse has been transferred over to them! We must return home as soon as possible and get them rested. I fear they might hurt themselves if they are unbound..."
The dwarfs pick up on their message with ease. The near dozen creatures work together to tie you by your wrists and ankles. Their sheer number and Snow's arm around your neck makes it an easier task. As more fuel to the fire, they kiss you when you are completely unable to defend yourself - giggling as thei cohorts pick you up.
"Don't worry, my love. True love's kiss will make you all better. No matter how many it takes."

Things Biden and the Democrats did, this week #14
April 12-19 2024
The Department of Commerce announced a deal with Samsung to help bring advanced semiconductor manufacturing and research and development to Texas. The deal will bring 45 billion dollars of investment to Texas to help build a research center in Taylor Texas and expand Samsung's Austin, Texas, semiconductor facility. The Biden Administration estimates this will create 21,000 new jobs. Since 1990 America has fallen from making nearly 40% of the world's semiconductor to just over 10% in 2020.
The Department of Energy announced it granted New York State $158 million to help support people making their homes more energy efficient. This is the first payment out of a $8.8 billion dollar program with 11 other states having already applied. The program will rebate Americans for improvements on their homes to lower energy usage. Americans could get as much as $8,000 off for installing a heat pump, as well as for improvements in insulation, wiring, and electrical panel. The program is expected to help save Americans $1 billion in electoral costs, and help create 50,000 new jobs.
The Department of Education began the formal process to make President Biden's new Student Loan Debt relief plan a reality. The Department published the first set of draft rules for the program. The rules will face 30 days of public comment before a second draft can be released. The Administration hopes the process can be finished by the Fall to bring debt relief to 30 million Americans, and totally eliminate the debt of 4 million former students. The Administration has already wiped out the debt of 4.3 million borrowers so far.
The Department of Agriculture announced a $1 billion dollar collaboration with USAID to buy American grown foods combat global hunger. Most of the money will go to traditional shelf stable goods distributed by USAID, like wheat, rice, sorghum, lentils, chickpeas, dry peas, vegetable oil, cornmeal, navy beans, pinto beans and kidney beans, while $50 million will go to a pilot program to see if USAID can expand what it normally gives to new products. The food aid will help feed people in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Haiti, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Yemen.
The Department of the Interior announced it's expanding four national wildlife refuges to protect 1.13 million wildlife habitat. The refuges are in New Mexico, North Carolina, and two in Texas. The Department also signed an order protecting parts of the Placitas area. The land is considered sacred by the Pueblos peoples of the area who have long lobbied for his protection. Security Deb Haaland the first Native American to serve as Interior Secretary and a Pueblo herself signed the order in her native New Mexico.
The Department of Labor announced new work place safety regulations about the safe amount of silica dust mine workers can be exposed to. The dust is known to cause scaring in the lungs often called black lung. It's estimated that the new regulations will save over 1,000 lives a year. The United Mine Workers have long fought for these changes and applauded the Biden Administration's actions.
The Biden Administration announced its progress in closing the racial wealth gap in America. Under President Biden the level of Black Unemployment is the lowest its ever been since it started being tracked in the 1970s, and the gap between white and black unemployment is the smallest its ever been as well. Black wealth is up 60% over where it was in 2019. The share of black owned businesses doubled between 2019 and 2022. New black businesses are being created at the fastest rate in 30 years. The Administration in 2021 Interagency Task Force to combat unfair house appraisals. Black homeowners regularly have their homes undervalued compared to whites who own comparable property. Since the Taskforce started the likelihood of such a gap has dropped by 40% and even disappeared in some states. 2023 represented a record breaking $76.2 billion in federal contracts going to small business owned by members of minority communities. This was 12% of federal contracts and the President aims to make it 15% for 2025.
The EPA announced (just now as I write this) that it plans to add PFAS, known as forever chemicals, to the Superfund law. This would require manufacturers to pay to clean up two PFAS, perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid. This move to force manufacturers to cover the costs of PFAS clean up comes after last week's new rule on drinking water which will remove PFAS from the nation's drinking water.
Bonus:
President Biden met a Senior named Bob in Pennsylvania who is personally benefiting from The President's capping the price of insulin for Seniors at $35, and Biden let Bob know about a cap on prosecution drug payments for seniors that will cut Bob's drug bills by more than half.

Suddenly came up with two "Special Case Phemomena" related to Home Safety Hotline!
-Hobb Mothers/Sires
Tumblr media
-On rare occassions, a Boggart may find an individual suitable to copulate with in order to produce well-suited Hobb offspring. Though this unity is near impossible, the few reported incidents known to the Fae have been similar in the following aspects:
-the Mother/Sire is usually Fae. Human only in near-impossible scenarios that involve the human demonstrating extreme kindness and care to Hobb kind. As many Fae have a natural bond with the supernatural by birth, it is assumed this is why Fae are more likely to be chosen.
-The Mother/Sire has positive relations with other supernatural entities such as Gnomes, Sprites, and Spriggans. Overall a respectful and careful individual. If one shows kindness to various entities, this further proves their care for Hobbs.
-The Mother/Sire is able to withstand the power and strength that is a Boggart, surviving the process of fornicating. Not much has ever been willingly stated by the Boggart's partner as to how the coupling works, its secrecy important.
Sprigflunkey:
Tumblr media
-Individuals that disrespect the territory and boundaries of a spriggan may become parasitized by Sprig Vines and, instead of succumbing to their death by a Sprig Tree, deform into a Sprigflunkey instead. There are a couple of factors that lead to the likelihood of becoming Sprigflunkey, such as:
-Excessive abuse towards wildlife. Those who take part in violence and slaughter of woodland animals, especially those that waste much, are, in the eyes of a Spriggan, fitting to serve their dues.
-Blatant mistreatment and damage of flora. Stripping bark from trees, chopping down trees and bushes that sustain wildlife, ripping apart flowers, and releasing invasive species of any kind invoke much anger from Spriggans.
-Disrespecting the Spriggan directly when the opportunity arises. Sometimes, more straightforward Spriggans may appear in front of certain individuals. This is considered a hard-earned gift, or even a blessing, by the Fae. Though if the target (usually human) attempts combat or stands up as an equal or superior to the Spriggan, this rudeness shows as a perfect sign that the fool deserves a lifetime of enslavement and servitude.
-If a Spriggan has made itself known to you, through your ignorance or as a gift, make sure to respect it as you would any benevolent diety. Bow to it, and/or state your apologies or gratitude. Planting seeds, feeding wildlife, or caring for flora and fauna in other manners, further improve your chances of staying alive and sentient.

[Alpha!Tzuyu x Alpha!Sana]
Their weeklong getaway had been nothing short of perfection. Away in the woods, Sana and Tzuyu enjoyed the privacy and quality time that came with staying in a small cottage near one of the most scenic lakes in the area.
But the morning they were due to drive back home, Tzuyu awoke early. As she blinked, coming out of her sleep haze, she knew she was in trouble. Her rut was early– she could feel its onset, and it was going to hit in full force soon.
She woke Sana, who immediately took in the other Alpha’s strengthened scent as she sat up in bed.
“Oh wow,” Sana murmured, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. “Do you…want me to…?” she glanced down at the morning wood in Tzuyu’s boxers, a playful smile forming on her lips.
Tzuyu groaned. “Yes, but no.” Sana watched as the taller Alpha got up and started getting ready. “Maybe if we get on the road fast enough, we can make it home before I…” Tzuyu trailed off, looking down at her own body.
Sana pouted. “What’s the rush? We don’t have to check out for a few hours,” she said. “We could probably stay and-”
“I- I can’t do ‘probably’,” Tzuyu said, soft but firm. “Besides, we’re both Alphas. We can’t afford to have both of us in a rut in public.”
That got Sana’s attention, and she quickly got up to start packing her things. As much as she wanted to take care of Tzuyu now, she knew the younger Alpha was right.
With her rut on its way, Tzuyu was not only a ticking time bomb for herself, but for Sana too. Any other Omegas they came into contact with, be it at a gas station or restaurant on the way home, would be all over Tzuyu within minutes once they smelled her. And if she accidentally triggered Sana’s rut and both of them were only thinking with their dicks…it was just too risky.
A short while later, their bags were packed and they left their lakeside oasis. Their first stops were to grab coffees to go and fill up on gas, and then they hit the road.
The first several miles were quieter than normal. Sana could not only smell Tzuyu’s increasing arousal, she could sense her nervousness about being far from the safety of home during such a vulnerable time. Normally the pair would be settling in at Tzuyu’s place for the intensity of the first forty eight hours of her rut, but they were still multiple postal codes away from being able to do that.
Tzuyu was trying very hard to keep her thoughts on anything but her pretty Alpha partner and the growing erection in her pants, but as time went by, it became increasingly difficult.
All of the Taiwanese Alpha’s senses were heightened. When Sana casually flipped her hair from one shoulder to the other, her scent hit Tzuyu like a pile of bricks.
Sana’s scent was comforting and alluring. It was a combination that normally was welcomed, but had suddenly become nerve-wracking given the circumstances.
Everything in her told her to just keep looking out the window, but Tzuyu couldn’t help herself. She peeked over at Sana.
She looks even prettier now than she did this morning, Tzuyu thought. But then again, Sana always looked extra enticing when Tzuyu was rutting. An Alpha/Alpha pair wasn’t very common to come by, but Tzuyu wouldn’t trade Sana for any Omega in the world. Her eyes wandered over Sana without shame now: her big, pretty eyes, her cute nose, her delicate hands and the way they casually held the steering wheel. Those hands would look much better, Tzuyu thought,  if they were working their way up and down the length of–
“Tzu? You okay?” Sana’s sweet voice interrupted her thoughts.
“Hm? Oh, y-yeah,” Tzuyu replied quickly, adjusting her position so she was facing her window instead of Sana.
“But– how much farther?” Tzuyu asked. She was scanning the sky desperately for unique shapes in the clouds, or any signs of wildlife in the fields outside her window.
One time, Sana, Tzuyu and a few friends of theirs had driven along a similar route for a healing weekend away. Sana and the others teased Tzuyu, trying to convince her that marshmallows grew in the fields they drove past. Her older friends loved to tease her, she was too cute to resist. Tzuyu normally smiled when looking back on that memory, but in this moment, she just felt restless.
“We’re like 90 minutes out,” Sana said, glancing at their GPS. She reached to give Tzuyu’s thigh a reassuring squeeze, but then thought better of it. “You can keep eye fucking me if it helps,” she said, a proud smile on her face as she flipped her hair teasingly.
Tzuyu blushed. “Sana!”
Sana giggled, giving Tzuyu’s knee a gentle pat while never taking her eyes off the road. “I mean it,” she said. “I like it when you look at me like that.”
Tzuyu swallowed thickly. Her Alpha instincts were really starting to push their way to the front of her mind now. All Sana had done was pat her leg, and yet her cock twitched, making her squirm.
Sana inhaled deeply from her side of the car, lightly drumming her fingers on the steering wheel. “But before you go back to eyeing me,” she cleared her throat quickly, “I think I’m gonna need to roll down a window…or two.”
Filthy thoughts flooded Tzuyu’s brain when she heard that, and this time, she entertained them. Nothing was more satisfactory than turning another Alpha on, especially one as stunning as Sana. Tzuyu couldn’t help herself. She glanced down at Sana’s lap and immediately bit her lip. Seeing a light imprint from Sana’s hardening cock beneath her skirt made Tzuyu’s cock throb.
The windows were down now, but even with more air flowing to disperse some of Tzuyu’s powerful scent, the two still shifted uncomfortably as they continued the drive.
Sana didn’t know how the other Alpha was holding it together so well. They were so different in that regard: Tzuyu constantly wrestled and fought against her most animalistic Alpha urges, while Sana openly embraced hers. Sana hated taking suppressants, only taking them when absolutely necessary, whereas Tzuyu preferred to be on them most of the time, only allowing herself to rut three or four times a year. Tzuyu was more than happy to be Sana’s personal stress and rut reliever, but Sana secretly relished the rare occasions when Tzuyu came completely undone, desperate to spill herself into Sana again and again.
“Can we pull over somewhere?”
It was Sana, not Tzuyu, who couldn’t stand it any longer (although Tzuyu had been trying to work up the courage to ask the same question for the last five minutes).
Tzuyu nodded eagerly, and Sana handed her phone to Tzuyu to change their route.
“Remember that cute park reserve we stumbled upon when we were looking for a spot to eat lunch on the way up here?” Sana asked.
It was all the information Tzuyu needed to reroute them.
The park was mostly deserted when they pulled up. Threatening gray clouds in the distance had kept the majority of folks away for the day.
Tzuyu’s heart raced as they parked. She was uncomfortably warm and her painfully hard cock was leaking precum, but she still couldn’t believe she was so desperate to cum that she was willing to allow Sana to pull over so they could fuck outside.
As soon as Sana locked the SUV, she took Tzuyu by the hand and started leading her.
“C’mere, away from the picnic area,” she said softly.
They went further and further into the woods, away from the main trails, but the more Tzuyu’s heart raced, the more excited she got. And the more excited she got, the harder her cock throbbed. Her patience finally ran out.
“Sana,” she said hoarsely, stopping in her tracks. Sana turned, but before she could say anything, Tzuyu gently pressed the shorter Alpha up against a tree and kissed her.
Sana let out a soft moan against Tzuyu’s lips, deepening the kiss and reaching for Tzuyu’s hands to place them on her waist. The young Alpha’s scent was intoxicatingly strong now, but Sana hesitated for a moment, remembering where they were.
“Are you sure?” she asked softly.
Tzuyu half groaned, half growled as her hands wandered beneath Sana’s shirt.
“I can’t wait anymore,” Tzuyu said, rubbing herself against the other Alpha. “Need you now.” She tilted her head, pressing a kiss against Sana’s neck.
Sana could only hum in response, reaching for Tzuyu’s pants to free her cock as Tzuyu removed her jacket, too warm to need it anymore.
“Wait, I think I can put that to good use,” Sana purred, gently nudging Tzuyu’s bomber jacket closer to her so she could sink down onto it as she got on her knees.
Tzuyu moaned at the sheer sight of Sana on her knees for her, giving her length a few quick pumps in her hand before letting Sana move in.
Sana’s first few kitten licks were as torturous as they were pleasurable. Tzuyu leaned back against a tree, trying not to selfishly thrust into Sana’s eager mouth.
Sana’s mouth was warm and wet, and the way her tongue swirled around Tzuyu’s tip made the tall Alpha whine. Just as Sana started to take Tzuyu’s full length down her throat, she felt Tzuyu’s cock twitch. Her mouth was suddenly filled with cum. Sana gagged a little, unprepared for Tzuyu’s first load so soon. She swallowed as much as she could, but some spilled out of her mouth. As Tzuyu slid her cock out, Sana’s lips made a light pop sound, her lips wet with drool and cum.
Despite having just cum,Tzuyu was still rock hard. Her refractory period was nearly nonexistent now that she was fully rutting and her cock was finally being serviced.
“Fuck,” Tzuyu murmured, watching the mixture of wetness drip from Sana’s lips.
She gently took Sana’s face in her hand and tapped her mouth to get her to open up again.
Sana eagerly took Tzuyu back into her mouth, enjoying the feeling of Tzuyu becoming a bit harsher this time as she held Sana’s head still so she could thrust into her throat.
The older girl let out a muffled moan as she sucked Tzuyu off. As Sana got her throat stretched, she dipped a hand beneath her skirt, unable to ignore her own aching cock.
Watching Sana’s hand slowly stroke her own cock while continuing to blow her was too much for Tzuyu. The rutting Alpha couldn’t hold back even if she tried. Before she knew it, she was coming again, spilling into Sana’s throat with a grunt. Overwhelmed with pleasure, Tzuyu brought the older girl’s mouth to the base of her cock before releasing her.
Sana gasped lightly when she could finally come up for air, tears at the corners of her eyes. As she caught her breath, the older girl glanced around their surroundings. Sensing no passerby near them, she gave Tzuyu a devilish smile and stood. “C’mere baby,” she husked, drawing Tzuyu closer to her. “Fill me up, I know you need to.”
Sana’s words alone nearly made Tzuyu’s knees buckle. She pulled Sana in to kiss her as one hand warmed up Sana’s ass. In her other hand, Tzuyu held her cock, still wet from Sana’s mouth. While they kissed, the only other sounds in the woods were from the two Alphas running their palms over their leaking cockheads, the quiet sound of slick adding to the soundtrack of nature sounds surrounding them.
Both Alphas had to stifle moans as Tzuyu finally slid into Sana, stuffing her to the brim.
Needing more, Tzuyu flipped Sana’s skirt up and gripped her waist, gently pulling her back over her thick cock as she bottomed out inside of her.
Sana whimpered, struggling to stay upright. To make her more comfortable, Tzuyu rearranged the two of them so Sana was against the tree and would have something to hold onto as Tzuyu started to pound her.
The repetitive sound of skin on skin mixed with the Alphas’ light panting quickly filled the air. If anyone was nearby, the sounds would be unmistakable for anything other than a rough outdoor breeding.
“F-fuck,” Sana whispered, her head tilting back a bit as Tzuyu had her way with her. Tzuyu snaked one hand up Sana’s body, eventually wrapping her fingers lightly over the other Alpha’s neck. Her other hand still held tightly onto Sana’s hip so she could keep her steady while pounding her.
Fucking outdoors wasn’t something Tzuyu would normally go for even in her wildest dreams, but now she couldn’t be bothered by the threat of being seen. Sana’s tight hole felt too good around her aching cock to stop. Her primal urge to breed the Alpha was stronger than her own self consciousness.
“Tzu-ah!-Tzuyu,” Sana moaned. She released her own cock from her hand as Tzuyu continued to pound her. “G-gonna come..”
Tzuyu growled lowly, removing her hand from Sana’s throat so she could hold both of Sana’s hands behind her back. She knew her girlfriend was capable of coming without being touched, and sure enough, a few thrusts later, Sana let out a cry as ropes of cum began to spill from her cock.
Tzuyu’s jacket was ruined with Sana’s cum now, but she didn’t care in the slightest. She pressed herself against Sana, thrusting into her a few more times before coming too, letting out a moan as she emptied herself into Sana.
“Look at you,” Sana cooed, catching her breath. That was Tzuyu’s third load, but she knew they wouldn’t be able to leave just yet. “So desperate to cum, aren’t you?”
“You feel too good,” Tzuyu said breathlessly, her cock still buried in Sana’s ass. She thrust slowly into the Alpha, pushing her cum deeper inside. “Need more,” she murmured.
“Take what you need, baby,” Sana said, and Tzuyu ran with it.
Tzuyu backed up a bit, her cock still inside of Sana. Gently, she forced Sana to bend over more and nudged her legs further apart.
It was a beautiful angle from Tzuyu’s perspective. The Alpha took off again, desperate to breed Sana again.
One more load soon turned into two. Sana was near ruined now, barely able to keep upright even with the support of surrounding trees and boulders whenever they switched positions. She whimpered as Tzuyu panted in her ear, about to turn two loads into three.
With a particularly powerful thrust, Tzuyu slipped her knot inside of Sana, making the older girl cry out and whine.
“Knot me,” Sana begged, tears threatening to fall, “Please Tzuyu, I-, oh fuck-”
“S-Sana..!” Tzuyu’s eyes screwed shut as she came, giving Sana exactly what she wanted and knotting her. Both of them cried out and Sana came again as she felt Tzuyu empty herself inside of her once again.
While Sana caught her breath, Tzuyu leaned in, feeling extra possessive suddenly now that she’d knotted her Alpha. She lapped up Sana’s tears from her cheek and then moved lower to scent her around her neck.
Sana practically purred with delight. Rutting Tzuyu was sexy, and protective, post-knot Tzuyu was just as irresistible.
Now that she temporarily had her wits about her again, Tzuyu couldn’t believe she had just knotted her girlfriend outside. Normally it took a while for Tzuyu to be able to pull out of Sana after knotting, but this time she didn’t have to wait long, possibly due to being a bit anxious about her surroundings.
She helped Sana put herself back together, feeling renewed admiration for the olderJapanese girl.
When they were sure the coast was clear, they went back onto the main trails and made their way back to the car, holding hands the whole way.
“Think you’ll be okay for the rest of the trip?” Sana asked, pressing herself up against Tzuyu, who was leaning on the passenger side door.
Tzuyu smiled, pulling Sana close to kiss her forehead. “Yes,” she said. “But you’re mine again as soon as we get home.”

It appears on several lists of must-see places before you die, usually accompanied by a beautiful picture of the sprawling park—one with towering, gunmetal batholiths and rugged, snow-capped peaks on either side of the frame, almost perfectly mirrored. They plummet into a vertiginous drop down to a lush valley of vivid Scheele’s green below.
Through the unfathomable gap of these primordial mountains, nestled in the thick of the valley, is a white line of the rushing river that bleeds into what makes this place an absolute must:
The roaring waterfalls, the gorgeous fjords.
When you click on the pictures, the magnitude of just how massive this land is, and just how big those gorges are makes it all seem so empyrean. As if the land itself touches the heavens in places, disappearing into the sky. Swallowed by the aether.
It's dizzying.
And entirely remote.
Save for a visitor centre close to one of the bigger falls, this place is far removed from civilisation. A protected land hidden like a glimmering gem in the privacy of the wilderness. It's the sort of place where novices are well-forewarned about the dangers of testing their mettle against a basin of nature that sees less than one hundred people traversing the rugged landscape a year.
You only have yourself to rely on out here, someone writes. It's not for the faint of heart.
Simply put: it's perfect.
Cheap, too. You follow the instructions, requesting a weekend pass in the northern backcountry. Permits approved, credit card accepted. A map is emailed off along with an itinerary of what to bring, what to do (and what not to do—no scents, nothing that isn’t bear-repellent approved, no firearms without pre-approval from park services; same with fishing and hunting), and where to go. Signing in and out is mandatory lest they have to launch a massive, and expensive, search and rescue for you.
It’s all a little overwhelming (beware of wild animals, do not engage with them, do not feed them; do not leave trash in the outback; do not swim in the rapids and be wary of the vicious undercurrent in the river; do not go where you are not prepared to be) and the laundry list of what not to do seems bigger than you’re prepared for. Trepidation sinks in.
And then, as if in mockery of your unease, an email pops up in your inbox—
you're in bear country now, it warns, and then proceeds to tell you how to defend yourself against an attack—defensive and predatory—and to always, always, report any sightings you see to the park rangers. Immediately. Instantly. Without hesitation. Anything. Everything. Footprints, feces. It could save someone else's life.
It’s daunting. you are your own protection, it adds, vicious and cold. Cruel. We share the responsibility, but you are the one who carries the biggest burden. Be smart, be prepared, and be cautious.
They send three emails about safety, and advise that you attend a two-hour-long park seminar when you arrive on your first day to warn you about the dangers within the valley, the wildlife and rugged mountains, the steep ravines, and the treacherous rivers.
The man leading the seminar is dismissive during it, derisive. The park is open to the public, the ranger mumbles, gruff and unkind. His eyes skewer into the meagre rucksack on your back, and the outfit you picked—trousers, a thermal long-sleeve, and hiking boots the sales associate assured you that you would grow into, and huffs, adding: and it’s up to said public to decide if it can survive in here; we post signs and warnings and make all of the dangers as accessible as we can, as apparent as we can, but once you sign in, and head out, you are on your own.
But in none of these pamphlets, in this abrupt dressing down of your limited experience and their ambivalence on whether or not you can take care of yourself, does anyone ever tell you about the real danger hidden in these woods:
man.
Or rather, a man.
There's something unmatched about the wilderness, about the innate sense of self-reliance that seems to exude from within, this precocious sense of isolation and inner dependence. Out here, so far away from rescue or civilisation (about seven clicks in the opposite direction, give or take a few additional hours just maneuvering around jagged rock cliffs and steep canyons), you only have yourself for guidance, for salvation.
Maybe that's part of the reason why it draws you in so much. This idea of alienation. Of loneliness.
You are as safe as mother nature permits. As the grit in your bones allows. Flash flooding, intense storms. Whiteouts. Avalanches from the highest peaks in the distance. Surges in the river below. Currents. And—
Bears. Wolves. Wolverines. Bison. Moose. Coyote.
The list of hazards always seems to exceed the majesty of the world around you—haphazard cliffs, towering batholiths, roaring rivers—but only marginally. It's always worth it when you're there. In the heart of it all, staring down at the ink-black water below a massive fjord. The cut of limestone. Water slicing through the valley. It's ancient, primordial. And standing in the basin of its grandeur, a meagre slip of time in the palms of unfathomable aeons, the dangers balance out. Risk, reward.
This one, though, is probably the loneliest place you've ever been.
As you stand outside the visitors centre, the park looming large and untamed before you, there's a prickling sense of unease that permeates the air. A fine mist of worry draping over your shoulders. The park is—
Unfathomable.
The ledger they had you sign in on boasts five names in the last three years. A quick flip through the aged pages is just as barren. Empty.
“Not the most isolated or remote, no,” one of the wardens says, eyes creasing against the harsh glare of the sun. He offered to accompany you into the park, and you'd eagerly taken him up on the offer. Not quite ready to be on your own. “That's probably higher up. Quttinirpaaq, maybe? Heard from some buddies up there that they had no visitors last year. We do pretty well. About one thousand a year? Usually filmmakers and the like. Adventurous types. Gets kinda lonely up here. Ain't no Banff, that's for sure.”
You felt that isolation when he'd reached the cut-off heading toward South Nahanni, and waved you along. Sage advice following him as he walked, hand on his holstered gun.
“Keep yer wits about ya. Strange things happen in these parks, ya know?”
Strange things, indeed.
It starts with a noise.
The rustle in the tussock concealed between heavy, darkened spruce. Snap of twigs underfoot. A shallow grunt when you're clamoring up the steep incline cradling the mouth of a still lake. Footfalls echoing through the valley when you rest in the lush green grass, peeling an apple to satiate the meagre appetite you've dredged up on your climb to get to this spot.
It can all be chalked up to the wilderness. Sound, you know, is a mirage in a place like this. Deceitful. Screams that sound like it's right next to you are just the trawling echoes of wind whistling in a canyon. It isn't anything to be immediately worried about. This space is vast. Open. You'd see someone if they were there.
An animal, maybe.
But that thought does little to quell your sudden nerves. Or abate the spike of anxiety that rivets down your spine.
It feels like you're being watched.
This unease lingers as you pack your apple core inside your travelling pack. Nothing left behind, you remember, and pretend that's the only reason for the quick survey you take of the area. Just in case. Just in case—
Nothing.
Just a sprawling valley, an endless sea of green, crawling up jagged monoliths. In the distance, a thunderous plume of fog curls over the sawtooth peaks. Their heads lifted to the heavens as if scenting the looming danger congealing in the distance. Thick gunmetal clouds brew over the mountains. A sudden swell sweeps through the valley, shaking the tussock. Cold enough that your teeth chatter.
They warned you of an oncoming storm.

A large building loomed over the street, its windows black and empty. The darkness outside was all-encompassing, the kind that seeps into your bones and fills you with a deep sense of dread. The wind howled like a wounded animal, rattling the windows in their frames and sending shivers down the spines of anyone brave enough to venture out. The streetlights flickered sporadically, casting an eerie glow over the empty sidewalks. There was no sign of life, no sound except the wail of the wind. It was a ghost town, a place where nightmares come to life. And for Y/N, it was hell.
Y/N stumbled into her old cramped bedroom, her heart hammering in her chest. She locked the door behind her, feeling a fleeting sense of safety. But the feeling was fleeting indeed, as the dark room seemed to close in on her. The vintage wallpaper, once vibrant and lively, now peeled and faded, hung like a veil of sadness around the room. The creaky floorboards groaned in protest beneath her feet, as if they too shared her burden.
She let out a ragged sigh and collapsed onto her bed, her limbs feeling heavy and uncooperative. The mattress, worn and lumpy, offered no comfort, and she winced as fresh pain shot up from the bruises on her arms and legs. Her eyes, swollen and red from tears, took in her surroundings: the small desk and chair, both rickety and unsteady, pushed up against one wall; a dresser with a chipped mirror in the opposite corner; and the twin-sized bed with a faded floral bedspread, now more depressing than cheerful. The room was still and quiet, save for her ragged breaths that echoed off the walls. It felt like a prison, and she was the only inmate.
Soft eyes slowly opened to the sight of an unfamiliar space, filled with nature and elegant wildlife. The plush bed she lied in was covered with a down comforter and fluffy pillows, the area's furnishings exuding a timeless charm. A vintage dresser with an ornate mirror stood high, while a side table held a delicate antique lamp that cast a warm glow that seemed to produce a warm barrier of protection despite its irrelevancy,  the sunlight covering the wooded area with a blanket of warmth. She could recognize these items as her own, however they seemed to look brighter. They looked as if she had just gotten them. As she sat up, Y/N felt a soft breeze settle against her skin, rustling the trees--almost like a nurturing embrace from mother nature.
She looked out into the forest beyond, where the trees stood tall and majestic, their leaves a riot of colors in shades of green, red, orange, and gold. The forest was kind of quiet, yet alive with the soft sounds of chirping birds and other forms of wildlife. There was an atmosphere of mystery and enchantment within this queer place. She looked around, noticing she wasn't in her bedroom, or even in a building. Her bed, the dresser and the table were placed in the middle of a plethora of trees in which surrounded her, a long, endless pathway splitting feet away. Curious, the young woman pulled the covers over her side, kicking her legs over the bed as she further took in her surroundings.
She shivered as she stood up, the lace at the bottom of her nightgown flowing with the breeze that swept over her body. She took a deep breath, the scent of damp earth and crisp leaves filling her lungs. The forest seemed to stretch out endlessly, the trees towering over her like sentinels. The ground was soft beneath her feet, the fallen leaves cushioning her every step. She wondered how she'd gotten here, and why she was in the middle of a forest. The last thing she remembered was falling asleep in her own bed, her father's voice echoing in her mind. Here she is now, surrounded by the beauty of nature. She felt a sense of calm wash over her, a feeling she hadn't experienced in a long time. In this moment, a blurry cloud filled her mind. All she knew were the sights before her.
As she looked around, she noticed something strange. Moving along the brown trail, she began to see dolls. These dolls hung by thread, some even from rope with a tight loop around their necks, creating a noose. They were a mixture of old and new, ranging from simple cloth dolls to elaborate porcelain ones. The closer she looked, the more she realized that some of the dolls had an uncanny resemblance to her. Most were in one piece, while there were also random doll parts such as heads and legs, swinging with the wind.
She continued, the dolls on the branches seeming to multiply as she walked further. Some of them were cracked and broken, their once beautiful, fresh features now twisted and corrupted. The air grew colder, and the sky turned from a calming blue to a deep, foreboding red. The trees themselves began to ooze from their trunks, a mysterious liquid easing into the forest floor. This liquid was rich and thick, possessing a deep shade of red, matching the sky. Y/N could feel her heart sink as that calming feeling dissolved, replaced with a painful twist in her stomach.
The dolls seemed to come alive, their heads turning to watch her as she passed by. Their once happy faces twisted into expressions of anger and disgust, their eyes seeming to follow her every move. The path became more treacherous, the ground uneven and full of roots and rocks. Y/N stumbled, her foot catching on a branch and sending her tumbling to the ground. As she picked herself up, she noticed a doll lying on the ground next to her. It was cracked and its eyes were closed. Its skin was pale and its hair was tangled, a familiar red liquid oozing from the creases of its broken cheeks. She rushed away from it, stumbling as she made her way deeper into the infinite amounts of trees.
Y/N felt like she had been wandering for hours, the path ahead of her only seeming to stretch further. The forest grew darker as she pressed on, the sky overhead seeming to darken its hue. The once tranquil sounds of nature had been silenced. It was quiet. Too quiet.
She stumbled upon a clearing, the ground beneath her feet soft and spongy. She looked around, noticing that the trees here were different from the rest, their bark gnarled and twisted. As she stepped forward, a voice suddenly spoke from the shadows, causing her to jump in surprise.
"Who are you? What brings you to my domain?"
The voice boomed, deep and menacing. Y/N looked around frantically, trying to locate the source of the voice. She saw a large wolf-like animal standing before her, its coat a deep red with a black mane and tail. Its glossy white eyes glinted in the dim light, and its sharp teeth were bared in a grin that sent shivers down her spine. The dog took a step forward, its powerful muscles rippling under its sleek fur. Y/N couldn't help but feel both confused and unsettled by the sight of the creature. It was like no other canine she had ever seen, and the way it spoke only added to her confusion
"I-...I appear to be lost," she stammered, her heart pounding in her chest.
The dog stepped closer, its eyes seeming to glow in the darkness as it revealed itself further from within the trees. "Lost, you say?" it hissed, its breath hot against her face. "Perhaps I can help you find your way."
Y/N took a step back, unsure of whether to trust this hound. But with no other option and a clouded mind, she nodded.
The hound turned around and began to walk, its massive form barely making a sound as it moved through the forest. Y/N hesitantly followed, her senses on high alert as the silence around them grew deafening. The once beautiful trees now looked twisted and gnarled, their branches stretching out like long fingers. The ground was littered with fallen leaves and broken twigs, and the red hue of the sky made the forest appear even darker.
As they walked, Y/N couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. Every now and then, the hound would pause, as if sensing something that she could neither see nor hear. She shuddered, feeling as if the forest was closing in around her.
Her head was spinning, and the scent of blood grew stronger, overwhelming her senses. She felt her stomach churn, and a wave of dizziness washed over her. Something felt terribly wrong about this place. Just then, the hound stopped in his tracks. He turned his head, and Y/N watched as he silently dissolved away into a mist. The mist surrounded her, and she was left standing alone in the darkness. She couldn't see her own hands in front of her face, and the smell of blood was suffocating. The mist, thick and ethereal, stretched out before her, obscuring her vision like the veil of a widow.
"Hell- Hello?" She croaked in a small voice, seeking out for her new friend. Where could he have gone?
She pressed on, eventually giving up. Determined to find her way out., time seemed to blur as she walked, her senses stuffed with cotton. After what felt like forever, she began to notice the mist was starting to clear. In time, she found herself deeper in the dim-lit forest. The sun, barely visible through the dense canopy of towering trees, cast fragmented rays of light that danced upon the forest floor. The air was heavy with the earthy scent of rain, hinting at the recent downpour that had bathed the woods.
As Y/N ventured deeper, the bark of the trees became darker and more weathered. Their branches reached out like gnarled fingers, seemingly whispering secrets to one another. Shadows played tricks on her eyes, making it difficult to discern the true path ahead. Despite the sickening feeling inside, Y/N's building fight or flight sent her forward. She yearned for the warmth of sunlight on her skin, or better yet, to find herself entangled in the covers of her thick blanket in her own bed. The mist persisted, swirling around her like a cloak, but she refused to be once again consumed by it again.
A sense of relief washed over her as she found herself in the presence of this quieter, more secluded part of the forest. The soft filtered sunlight offered a flickering respite from the shadows. The air was gentle and easy on the senses, scents of rainwater and fresh grass replacing the stomach-churning scent of blood. It felt familiar, comforting. But as moments turned into minutes, a growing unease crept back into Y/N's consciousness. It started as a prickling sensation at the nape of her neck, an instinctual warning. She strained her ears, trying to decipher any peculiar sounds within the natural symphony of the forest.
Suddenly, a faint snap shattered the growing atmosphere of ease. Y/N's head snapped in the direction of the noise, gasping involuntarily. Her eyes darted through the dimly lit surroundings, searching for the source, but all she saw were dancing shadows and swaying branches. It was as if the forest itself played tricks on her, taunting her, keeping its secrets hidden from view. A shiver raced down her spine, casting a chill in the air. The forest, of which was peaceful and quiet, now seemed to become more ever twisted than before. Y/N quickened her pace, fear fueling her steps. She refused to be consumed by fear or doubt. All she wanted was to get home.
She pressed forward, her eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger. She knew she had to keep going, as the answers she sought lay somewhere within the heart of the trees. A darkness loomed in her mind, urging her to turn back, but she refused. Guided by a glimmer of hope that rested deep within her trauma-trenched soul, she ventured deeper, making sure to follow each step of the path that only seemed to stretch further and further, edging her with the chance of safely finding her way.
The world around Y/N felt as though it had ceased to exist beyond the immediate circle of shadows and rustling leaves. Every nerve ending tingled with an acute awareness of impending ruin. As she strained her senses to decipher the source of the sounds, she felt herself submerged in overwhelming dread. It was an inexplicable dread, one that didn't just linger in the air but seeped into her flesh and clawed its way into her core. Then there was a smell. The stench intensified—a putrid mixture of decay and coppery undertones—coiling around her like a serpent.
Feeling sick to her stomach, Y/N couldn't bear to move. Her mind raced with fearful thoughts. Was it a wild animal? Was it a corpse?
A twig snapped with a crisp sound, closer this time. Y/N's heart lurched into her throat, rendering speech and movement impossible. The forest seemed to hold its breath, the silence now an unbearable weight pressing on her shoulders. She strained to pinpoint the origin of the noises, but the darkness thwarted her efforts, rendering everything beyond a few feet an empty abyss. Each and every second felt like an eternity, as if time itself had chosen this moment to stretch and distort. Her breaths came in shallow gasps, the cold air burning her lungs. The once comforting rustle of leaves became a taunting chant, mocking her. Daring her to move.
Summoning every ounce of energy and courage she could possibly find, Y/N willed herself to move, to break free from the shackles fear had locked on her fragile limbs. But her limbs felt heavy, unresponsive, as if held by an unseen force. The forest seemed to converge upon her, the trees closing ranks, confining her within them. Desperation clawed at her chest as she fought against the panic threatening to consume her entirely. She had to escape, had to find a way out before whatever lurked in the never ending darkness closed in on her. But with each passing moment, the forest's malevolence seemed to intensify, never ceasing to remind her she wasn't alone.
She slowly brings her leg to push forward, taking a step. She slowly rested her foot upon the dirt trail, like a child sneaking into the kitchen to find their way to the cookie jar. With a shallow exhale, she pushes her body forward, gently resting her other foot beside her left. Although tense, she seemed to relax, convincing herself if she were quiet, she wouldn't startle whatever it was that had desired to make itself known. In the thick shroud of the oppressive darkness, just before she was about to take another step, a queer and haunting clicking noise pierced through the silence, sending shivers down Y/N's spine. It was a sound that liquidated explanation—a disconcerting blend of a whine and the creak of an old, rusted door. The unsettling cry echoed around her, the trees seeming to tremble in fear.
She kept still. Nothing. She then took a few hesitant steps forward, her pulse thundering in her ears, each beat she felt in her flesh. But as her foot grazed the forest floor, convinced she would make it out, a sudden, heart-wrenching cry shattered that hope. It was a mournful sound, tinged with an unbearable sadness that clawed at the deepest parts of her soul (not to mention her ear drums). The cry seemed to emanate from the same entity, the trees now beginning to literally shake in shared anguish of the young woman.
Y/N's steps faltered, her breath hitching in her throat. Despite her fear, she felt a surge of empathy flood through her—a strange connection to the mournful sound from what could have been an injured animal. Her heart ached, entwined with the dread that held her. As if in response, the darkness seemed to coalesce, thickening around her. The forest itself seemed to draw even closer, pressing in on her from all sides.
She strained to discern any movement. But the more she strained herself, the more the shadows seemed to morph and shift, concealing whatever lurked just beyond her line of sight. Time seemed to warp and twist, elongating the moments into an eternity of psychological torture. The air around her crackled with an otherworldly tension, growing bitter and cold. Her every muscle tensed, ready to bolt at the slightest provocation. Yet, she found herself stuck by some force, held captive by an invisible barrier.
The cry echoed once more, only this time, it was closer. It was as though the injured creature sought solace in her presence.
She wanted so badly to run. A foreboding sensation crept up her spine, adding on to the building tension, causing her muscles to tense, locking themselves up so tight it was nearly painful. Her eyes widened in alarm, the adrenaline urging her to move, to flee. Yet, her strength allowed her only to do the bare minimum—a cautious, subtle glance, an attempt to discern the source of her dread without confronting it head on.
Slowly, her gaze shifted, almost sidelong, toward the space behind her. She dared not make direct eye contact, fearing whatever it was that lurked from behind. Her heart pounded furiously, echoing in her ears like a funeral drum, while her throat ran dry. The air was freezing by now. She felt as if she could get frostbite, feeling nips on her fingers and her bare toes, rendering her limbs tremulous and her breaths shallow. The clicking sound persisted, as the creature crept in from behind her.
An ache spread within her skull as she tried to catch a glimpse of what it was, only met with moving twig-like parts, what she could only assume to be arms. Her vision was obscured, offering mere glimpses of disjointed blotches. She discerned the unsettling silhouette of blotchy limbs, strange colors melded together. The creature's form appeared surreal, an amalgamation of beige tainted with splotches of crimson that resembled dried blood, twisted in abstract patterns across its strange horror-novel-esque frame.
Her breath hitched as she briefly caught sight of its torso—a bony structure, taut around its ribs, adorned with protruding spikes that seemed to glisten in the faint dim source of light. The sight sent her fear into overdrive, a primal instinct warning her of imminent danger. And then, she thought she saw its face—or what could pass for one. Black voids for eyes seemed to peer into the depths of her own, unnerving in their emptiness, devoid of any emotion or life. A hole of a mouth gaped open, revealing jagged, serrated teeth that protruded like sharp daggers.
In the shifting darkness, her gaze traced what she could only assume were its arms—twig-like appendages that moved sinuously. They were twisted and unnaturally long. The creature appeared to be tall, taller than her, and for its arms, hooked at the very edge where its hand would be, to touch the ground, she realized this was no wild animal. Y/N's mind reeled at the sight, grappling with the horrifying reality that stood before her—she was in a nightmare. She was in hell.
In her mind she screamed at herself to run before it was too late. Yet she still couldn't. Her bones felt fragile, as if the weight of her fear could shatter them into a million shards. She stood, transfixed by terror, caught between the compulsion to confront the creature and the overwhelming urge to book it. Straining her senses, specifically her sight and her hearing, caused her physical damage as she snapped her gaze back ahead, shutting her eyes tightly.
Suddenly, her ears began to ring. It numbed the back of her eyeballs while also sending a sharp pain through them. Instinctively, Y/N throws her hands up to her ears in attempts to blocking out the noise. She's unsure of whether or not that was the extra push she needed, but regardless, she found herself running. Her joints were unlocked, each movement swift and fluid. She just kept running, running through the dark, the tips of her fingernails digging into the sides of her head. She could feel herself scratching her hair follicles, digging into her skin as her faced scrunched in agony. She didn't dare open her eyes just yet, allowing her legs to carry her wherever they ended up.
In a sudden burst of light, a flash erupted from the depths of the forest. The light filtered through her eyelids, nearly blinding her as they shot open. She could feel herself stumble back, completely caught off guard. She stood there, head darting around the area. She found her footing light and her breath heavy, heart racing as she tried to process it all at once. It was as if the world around her transformed, and she found herself in a clearing bathed in filtered sunlight. The forest gave way to a serene oasis, where the gentle sounds of rustling leaves and distant birdsong filled the air. Y/N took a moment to absorb her surroundings, her senses recalibrating to this sudden peace. The trees, though still towering and ancient, now seemed to share a quiet wisdom rather than wicked darkness and sheer terror. The ground beneath her feet felt soft and mossy, inviting her into a haven of comfort and warmth.
Every ounce of unease and fear slowly but surely began to melt away as she calmly strolled through. All of this was too much—all she wanted was to go home. Perhaps it's this way?
It was fairly uneventful, her journey. She would take occasional twists and turns, following the path etched into the dirt that was awfully gentle on the skin of her bare feet. In this strange contrast to the previous forest, Y/N wandered along the winding paths, enveloped in its atmosphere of charm. The vintage allure of the surroundings added a familiar home-like touch to the scene. Oil-lit street lamps cast a warm, golden glow, illuminating the path as if guiding her through a bygone memory. The air was filled with fluttering butterflies, their vibrant wings painting the air with kaleidoscopic hues.
As she ventured deeper, she was swarmed with curious sights that felt oddly enchanting. Hanging delicately from branches were dolls, but not suspended by rope around their necks as she had seen before. Instead, they dangled by slender pastel and rich-colored ribbons tied around their wrists, and sum even by the cuffs of their blouses and shirts, their porcelain faces serene yet haunting in their stillness.
Elegant decorations adorned the foliage, ornate carvings and nostalgic old trinkets nestled amidst the tapestry. It felt like a stroll through a forgotten memory, deep within the core of her mind, where time stood still.
However, as she tip-toed further along the trail, the ambiance began to shift once more. The air dropped, becoming cooler, and the light dimmed ever so slightly as if a cloud had passed over the sun. A peculiar sensation settled over her, a feeling that she wasn't alone. It wasn't all that threatening, however. Strange noises began to merge within the symphony of the forest. Heavy footsteps echoed in the distance, accompanied by laughter that seemed to reverberate from somewhere unseen. Intrigued, while also apprehensive, Y/N couldn't resist the urge to investigate.
The noises grew closer, drawing her towards the edge of the path where it abruptly ended. Peering around the corner, she encountered an inexplicable sight—a fuzzy distortion, as if the fabric of reality blurred before her eyes. Through the haze and the surrealistic feeling she felt brewing inside of her, she captured glimpses of an odd scene—a pair of dark pants, knives glinting in a faint light. She strained her senses, having recovered from earlier, picking up what she could only discern into screams. They were faint and muffled, though, before she could hear something more. A low, infernal growl, or was it a groan? It settled into her ears, bringing a physical sense of warmth over her, however it wasn't anything positive.
Splashes of crimson caught her attention, vivid against the strange blurry backdrop. Then, from the distorted void, something popped itself forward, its head emerging through the blurry portal, locking eyes with hers. Y/N gasped, her breath catching in her throat.
Without a second thought, she turned and fled, her heart pounding in terror. She ran aimlessly, jumping over twigs and large rocks, completely disregarding the rest of the trail that seemed to go in many directions until, by sheer chance or fate, she nearly ran into a rusted brown door reminiscent of the one in her bedroom. It rested, open just a crack. Without hesitation, she yanked the doorknob back and leaped through, the metallic clang echoing behind her as she slammed it shut.
She had practically jumped into the open space, and her body went rigid, her muscles tensing on impact. But instead of the anticipated collision with a harsh surface, she found herself sinking into something soft, almost cushion-like. Confusion began to cloud her fear as her hands met the padded interior of what seemed to be a room. Her movements were sluggish, almost as if she were submerged in water, every action a struggle against unseen resistance. Crawling on hands and knees, she blinked repeatedly, allowing her eyes to adjust to the dim, eerie glow that emanated from the sparse lighting in the room.
A solitary window perched high above caught her attention, moonbeams casting soft shadows across the room. The faint glow of moonlight offered her some kind of comfort. At least she wasn't in a ditch somewhere. The light, guiding her unsteady steps towards the distant window, felt kind of warm compared to the awfully cold air that nipped at her skin. Disoriented and off-balance, she stumbled, her senses still reeling from the transition.
As she approached the window, her hands brushed against the padded walls, seeking stability. She raised her gaze, fixating on the distant glimmer of the moonlight filtering through the solitary window.
Fumbling and uncertain, she traced the contours of the walls with her hands, feeling the padded surface in an attempt to ground herself. But before she could fully process her surroundings, a sound—a shuffle, perhaps footsteps—outside the door snapped her attention away. Her breath hitched as she stared at the door, her heart thundering in her chest. The faint glimmer of light danced across the space as a slider on the door moved, revealing only a pair of eyes peering in at her. They glinted with curiosity, holding her gaze in a silent exchange.
Y/N's mind raced with questions, her mouth parting as if to speak, yet no words came. A chill crept down her spine as a surge of apprehension washed over her. Her hand involuntarily pressed against the padded wall, seeking a false sense of security as she struggled to comprehend the oddity of her situation.
Y/N watches intently as the person on the other side of the door turns the knob, the hinges creaking as it swings open. A blinding light spills into the room, causing Y/N to instinctively avert her gaze and squint against the sudden brightness. Slowly, her eyes adjust to the illumination, allowing her to steal a side glance at the figure that stood just at the doorway.
Recognition flickers across Y/N's mind as she discerns the person before her—a woman with fair skin and ginger hair elegantly tied up with swept, fluffy parted bangs. Despite the strangeness of the situation, she notes the woman's attire—a surgeon's uniform—with a mask loosely hanging under her chin. However, the most startling detail catches Y/N off guard—the absence of the woman's eyes. Instead, there's an unnerving expanse of smooth, featureless skin where her eyes should have been.
Confusion mingles with disbelief in Y/N's thoughts. She blinks repeatedly, hoping to dispel this surreal image that feels like a figment of her imagination. Her mind races with questions, her mouth opening as if to voice her bewilderment, yet still, she was silent.
Desperately seeking some form of reassurance, her hand instinctively presses against the padded wall behind her, though it offers no comfort against the unsettling reality she's confronted with. In a state of disbelief and growing unease, Y/N froze. Her eyes were wide, eyebrows high. She felt so cold, despite the warmth that spilled into the room from the other side. The woman's plump, glossy pink lips held a cigarette. She seemed confused, arms crossed as she leaned on her hip. A dent formed in which her eyebrows were meant to be, as if she was contemplating how this stranger got here.
For an eternal moment that feels suspended in time, Y/N remains frozen, unable to process the nightmarish sight before her. Yet, as she blinks, a sudden change unfolds. The woman, initially standing at the door, now leans in, her hands extending around the doorframe as her body seems to elongate. Her foot juts forward as if ready to step inside, but something is different.
The woman looms taller, her head protruding into the room, and a ghastly grin spreads across her face, her jaw extended to an inhumane rate. Y/N's horrified gaze fixates on a single, glistening eyeball resting upon the woman's tongue. The eye seems to fixate directly on Y/N, the same tint of amber from the slider on the door. Unable to contain her ever-growing (and never ending, it seems) fear, Y/N chokes up, her breath catching in her throat, a primal instinct compelling her to scream. But before the scream could tear from her throat, the woman, now twisting her body with a series of bone-cracking sounds, begins to crawl into the padded room. Her movements contort unnaturally as if defying the laws of physics, each bone-crunching twist amplifying the discomfort building in the atmosphere.
The cigarette that dangled from the woman's lips moments ago falls, landing on the padded floor. Strangely, it doesn't extinguish upon impact but continues to burn, creating a sizzling sound against the padded surface. The acrid scent of burning material adds to the sensory overload of the scene before the innocent woman, feeling herself begin to slip from the fingers of reality. If, that's what you could call this.
As the woman morphs further, her form distorts into something incomprehensible. The room seems to warp around her, shadows elongating and contorting with her every movement. The mask that rested underneath her chin disintegrated, along with her fair skin that seemed to burn away in Swiss-cheese like patterns until patches of the meat and muscle became apparent, her skin just barely hanging on. Her hair seemed to thin and fall out, while the cap dissolved, the faint sound of cracking bones intermingles with a low, guttural growl emanating from the creature, now towering over Y/N, its jaw hanging for its eye to continue to stare down upon her.
It drew nearer, emitting a stomach-churning odor of decaying flesh and bone and blood that overwhelmed her senses. Tears welled in her eyes, her brows and lip quivering as she recoiled, attempting to move as far back as possible while the creature advanced. In the depths of its mouth, its eye swiveled around, a soft clicking resonating through its towering form. Y/N's fingers dug into the wall behind her, desperately seeking something to hold onto.
"N—No. . ." A feeble protest escaped her parched throat, the words torn from her with the anguish of a thousand blades slicing through her vocal cords.
"NO!" A shriek tore from her throat, a mix of revulsion and fury contorting her face as she glared up at the creature.
Sliding down the wall in a final attempt to escape, she scrambled to the corner of the room. Only upon huddling up into the corner and snapping her gaze toward where the creature would have been did she realize that it was gone. The overpowering stench that had made her wanna hurl had dissipated, leaving a heavy silence in the air.
Reluctantly, Y/N lowered her gaze, turning her attention to the woman by the door. Standing with arms at her sides, instead of moving forward, she was stepping back. Her wide amber eyes shook with fear, her cigarette burnt to the butt, a small mound of ashes on the cold floor beneath. Her skin remained intact, her entire form unaltered. If anything, she seemed just as terrified as Y/N. Before Y/N could comprehend what just had happened, the woman forcefully shut the door, the lock clicking into place. Breathing heavily, Y/N was left in her confusion. She squeezed her eyes shut, the sounds of heavy footsteps and soft creaking floorboards settling into her ears, the light fading away, dominated by the darkness.

For a while, the world remained distant, her mind a jumble of fragmented thoughts and sensations before it all began to slip away. She felt herself floating, while she began to feel her limbs spread underneath a warm, familiar fabric. The creaking of the floorboards continued, accompanied by the gentle click of an opening door. Then, a soft breath caressed her ear, and a delicate touch brushed against a strand of her hair. She froze, every muscle tensing as a gentle hand continued, tenderly stroking her hair. As the fingers trailed down the strand, Y/N remained motionless, her body unresponsive. A voice, momentarily unfamiliar, deep and paternal, settled through her eardrums like melted butter.
"It's time for your medicine, my dear," the man's voice resonated softly, hardly above a whisper.
