Danny stares up up up at the being cooing down at him, a mass of eyes and tendrils and whatever else twisting in and out of portals, shattering to sand and reforming, buckling into a smaller shape and expanding in an ever moving form. This was not what he was expecting when Clockwork offered to introduce him to Chaos, but maybe he shouldn’t be so surprised. 

Bonus DPxDC crossover: Clockwork introduced his lil baby ghostling to his old friend Chaos so they can set up playdates between their two kids. Klarion and Teekl are now being spotted with a white-haired boy and a green puppy that can go giant and monstrous like Teekle, to Young Justice’s (And the league’s) concern

Okay so here’s my pitch for the season 3 cold open-

We open to a close up of Stede’s face, he’s clearly concentrating, he’s sweating a little, and covered in blood. It’s pretty clear as we pan out to a shoulder shot that he just killed someone. He looks very sexy about it.

We switch to a close up of Ed’s face, sweaty, clearly has just been fucked. Maybe his top button is done up wrong. Who knows.

The shot pans out and we start hearing their conversation. They are outside the inn, digging up Izzy (stick with me)- they’re talking about how silly they feel for just now realizing this is the problem- OF COURSE Izzy has been so mad, they didn’t bury him with his ring! How silly of them! And they didn’t even notice until someone tried to rob them and Stede killed the robber (and they fucked about it). THAT must be why Izzy won’t stop haunting them. They tuck the ring into his breast pocket and start to rebury him.

Next shot- we find out that they think Izzy has been haunting them because of a the ~weird happenings~ at the Inn. The haunting does not stop after they bury the ring. This part of the episode starts very creepy, real horror movie vibes. However, we find out through the course of the episode that what they think is a haunting is just two whim prone chuckleheads with no experience running an Inn.

“All of the produce mysteriously went bad!” - Stede, whose experience with food preparation is putting marmalade on toast just left them too close to the fire and the heat did what it does to produce.

“The room keys keep going missing!” Nope. Ed simply cannot remember where he put them.

“The desk bell keeps ringing at night but there is no one there!” It’s buttons the seagull fucking with them.

They both think they’re responsible for the haunting and having a crisis about it. Idk, dealers choice about what they feel guilty about.

They are losing their fucking shit over this haunting. Maybe Izzy shows up once or twice in a Badminton style memory ghost.

We pan back to The Revenge. It’s a total parallel to what happened with the red suit.

They also think they are being haunted by Izzy.

The word “twat” keeps appearing carved into random places aboard the ship. Frenchie’s peanut allergy is back full swing. They keep sailing into storms by accident. Etc

They set sail for the Inn, desperate to ask Ed to control the ghost of his dead best friend or burn the body, anything to get rid of this fucking ghost.

It’s Jim fucking with them and dumb luck. (Except for the storm thing, it’s just impossible for anyone to read the weather as well as Ed)

They all meet up at the Inn, and now we have a Scooby Doo style episode where the ghost was the friendship and character growth we made along the way.

And then for an extra layer of comedy, maybe at the end of the season we see Izzy’s ghost just sort of old man loitering around the ship because he didn’t want to leave what I am affectionately deeming his kids.

Tubbo’s memory came in flashes. He could only remember bits of the past, flashes of a woman with dark hair teaching him how to do magic. It was shocking to remember them now, in the heat of the moment. In the middle of this battle. “Wait,” he called out. 

Pac froze as his sword ran through another monster. “What?” 

While focused on Tubbo's words, a monster crept up behind Pac which Fit quickly chopped in half. “Pay attention!” 

“Sorry,” Pac said, twirling with a laugh to attack another mob. There were so many. 

Tubbo fell to his knees in the dirt. Something in his chest was compelling him, leading his fingers to trail the lines in the dirt. 

“What are you doing?” Fit called. 

Tubbk didn't respond, just let his subconscious continue to lead his finger into symbols that he didn't recognize. A low chant fell from his lips, a language he didn't recognize. Pac froze, stared back at Tubbo while Fit continued to fight ruthlessly. 

Tubbo finished speaking and raised his dagger to the top of his wrist, avoiding any major blood vessels. His blood dripped down onto the strange spell he made and a blast of energy exploded over the surrounding area. 

Pac and Fit both stumbled with the shake of the quake as the mob of monsters fell to their knees at the same time and split open. 

Pac's mouth fell open as the blood of them all spilled out into the grass at their feet. “Did you just…” 

Tubbo sat back on his heels with a laugh. “It worked!” 

“What the fuck was that Tubbo?” Fit asked, coming over to kneel beside the boy. 

Pac joined, kneeling in the dirt with a long stripe of cloth in his hand. He easily wrapped it round Tubbo's wound. 

“A spell,” Tubbo explained. “I don't know how I knew it to be honest. But there was something in my brain that knew it.” 

“Are you a witch?” Pac asked curiously. 

Tubbo cocked his head to the side. “I might be. I think. Not sure.” 

“That's cool,” Pac said with a soft breath and sparkling eyes. 

“Really?” Tubbo asked with a small smile. 

“Yes!” Pac exclaimed before pressing a kiss you his cheek, nervous eyes glancing at Fit. 

Tubbo flushed while Fit chuckled to himself. 

“Very cool,” Fit said, agreeing with Pac before in the most shocking of events, following suit and pressing a kiss to Tubbo's other cheek. 

Tubbo's face flushed deeper. “Okay, doing that more often then.” 

They both laughed at him but it was soft not mocking. 

“Definitely,” Pac agreed.

near as i can tell the sequence of events on social media with gwitch recently is:

-magazine interview where suletta’s va openly states suletta and miorine are a married couple at the end of the show (confirming what the text already made extremely obvious with the rings, them cuddling, and eri calling miorine “sister in law”)

-(btw ever since the show ended the writer okuchi has been on twitter liking sulemio art and tweets where people thanked him for the gay representation)

-this interview causes sulemio to trend on twitter. apparently a lot of people on the jp side still felt it was ambiguous until this explicit statement (lol this really is jp korrasami)

-a week? a few days? later, the digital version of that magazine interview is released and kana’s statement on sulemio being married… has been conspicuously edited out. 

-this causes uproar and backlash on social media

- today the official gwitch twitter released a weak statement of appeasement trying to play both sides and say the relationship is “up to interpretation”

typical homophobic executives meddling and stepping on the work of all the artists that made the show. its so dumb, but i cant say im surprised. ive had some criticisms of gwitch’s queer rep, like how miorine says gay romance is normal in this future yet we never see any other explicit gay pairings, or how the show spent a lot of season 2 keeping the girls separated from each other. but its obvious now the kind of restrictions the anime’s team were operating under when you have suits like this at the top. clearly they had to fight hard to get as much as we did. it sucks, but it doesnt really change my feelings on the show. its over now and the dumb old men at the top cant really change the text of the show even if they want to.
