A few days had gone by and the morning dawned with a knot of embarrassment and anxiety tightly wound in your chest. No matter how hard you tried, thoughts of Gojo refused to leave your mind. His presence lingered like a specter, reminding you of the awkward events from that specific night.
As you moved through your morning routine, the memory of Gojo’s intense reaction replayed in your mind. Why did he get so heated about the story involving the rain? What had happened to make him react so strongly?
With a frustrated groan, you tried to push these thoughts aside, hoping the busyness of work would distract you. But even after you arrived at the office and settled into your tasks, the questions continued to nag at you.
And no matter how hard you tried to focus on your work, his words echoed in your mind. “This relationship is nothing but a simple contractual exchange of money.” The sting of his harsh tone lingered, adding to the unease you felt.
As noon approached, you sought refuge in the cafeteria, hoping a quick lunch would clear your head. Lost in your thoughts, you navigated through the bustling crowd, barely aware of your surroundings. In a moment of distraction, you collided with someone, the force knocking your tray to the ground, food scattering everywhere.
“Oh no!” you gasped, a wave of panic sweeping over you as you realized the mess you had made.
Looking up, your heart sank even further as you saw Satoru Gojo standing before you, his pristine attire now adorned with splatters of food. Panic surged through you as you kept your head low, scared out of your mind that he would notice you.
“I-I’m so sorry, oh god—” you stammered, hands shaking as you scrambled for napkins to clean up the disaster. The cafeteria seemed to hold its breath, all eyes trained on the unfolding scene between you and the CEO.
Gojo, for his part, remained surprisingly calm as he looked down slightly to assess the mess on his clothes. “Don’t worry about it.”
The cafeteria buzzed with quiet whispers as they watched the scene unfold. His eyes lifted to meet yours, and a moment of silence hung heavy between you.
“You…” He started softly, confusion etched on his features as he scrutinized you. “Have we met before?” His voice was calm and curious.
“No!” You blurted out, your heart hammering in your chest. Without thinking, you bowed deeply, a rush of embarrassment flooding your cheeks. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” You repeated, barely able to meet his gaze as you continued to clean up the spilled food with trembling hands.
Once you were done you hastily gathered the dirty napkins and practically fled from the scene, cheeks burning with humiliation. As you retreated, the image of Gojo’s shocked and amused expression burned into your mind, leaving you to wonder how long the memory of this embarrassing encounter would haunt you.
“Suguru,” Gojo turned to look at his friend with a quizzical look, “who was that?”
“Pretty sure she works in the marketing department based on her employee badge.” Suguru replied calmly.
“Did you catch her name?” Gojo inquired further, his interest piqued.
“Unfortunately, I did not, Satoru.”
Gojo’s gaze drifted back towards the direction you had hurriedly departed. His expression was thoughtful, as if he was trying to recall something. After a moment, he sighed softly and nodded.
“Hm, alright then.”
As evening settled, you decided to clear your mind with a brisk walk around your neighborhood. You replayed the day’s events in your mind, the encounter with Gojo looming over you, making you cringe inwardly. Your phone buzzed, breaking your train of thought. A text from Gojo popped up on the screen.
Archaeopteryx: “My grandfather asked to meet you again. I’ll pick you up tomorrow. 12 p.m.”
The message brought a mixture of apprehension and curiosity. You paused mid-walk, glancing around at the familiar surroundings now tinged with the soft hues of twilight. The invitation to meet Gojo’s grandfather again was unexpected, yet not entirely surprising given the circumstances of your fabricated relationship.
You narrow your eyes slightly, noticing a familiar figure emerging from an apartment complex up ahead. It was Nanami, his presence eliciting a small smile from you. You hadn’t seen him since his last visit at the bakery, and a part of you felt a rush of warmth at the sight of him.
However, your smile faltered as you watched Nanami lean in to kiss a woman standing by the door. Hana. The realization hit you like a sudden gust of wind, chilling you to the core. They are back together.
Shock and confusion washed over you, blending with a sharp pang of devastation. You stood frozen in place as Nanami and Hana exchanged affectionate gestures and laughter.
Hana’s voice interrupted your thoughts, pulling you back to the present. “[name]! It's been a while!” She greeted you warmly as she and Nanami approached you, her arm linked around his.
“I-It’s good to see you too,” you replied, trying to maintain a natural demeanor despite the unease creeping into your thoughts. “How have you been? I hope your trip to Korea has been pleasant.”
A wide smile spreads across her face, “It’s been amazing, thank you! The food, the sights—everything’s been incredible,” she gushed, her enthusiasm almost infectious. “Oh, and thank you so much for the cake by the way, you always make them so delicious!” She beamed at you appreciatively, her words sincere despite the underlying tension you felt.
“It’s no problem. I’m glad you enjoyed it,” you replied softly, your gaze briefly flickering towards Nanami before returning to Hana. “I-I should get going, I have um.. Work tomorrow.”
As you bid them farewell, their cheerful chatter fading into the air, you resumed your walk home, the encounter leaving a bitter taste in your mouth. The familiar route back to your apartment seemed longer tonight, each step echoing in the quietness of the night. Thoughts raced through your mind, the unexpected sight of Nanami and Hana together reopening wounds you thought had healed.
Tears welled up in your eyes as your movements came to a stop, a whirlwind of emotions swirling inside you. Your hand instinctively covered your mouth, trying to stifle the sobs that threatened to escape. The pain of seeing him with someone else was unbearable, a stark reminder of the unspoken feelings you had harbored for him.
The suffocating silence got cut off by the insistent ringing of your phone as Gojo’s contact name flashed on the screen. You hesitated, fingers trembling, debating whether to answer or not. But before you could make a decision, in your haste to cancel the call, you accidentally dropped the phone. The sound of it hitting the pavement was like the final crack in a dam holding back your emotions. Tears started rolling down your cheeks uncontrollably as you sank down to your knees, overwhelmed by a flood of heartache and loneliness.
Each tear that fell felt like a betrayal of your composure, a raw exposure of the love you could never voice. The ache in your chest was unbearable, a physical manifestation of all the suppressed longing and hope.
“I didn’t think it would hurt so much,” you murmured in between your sobs, your voice trembling with anguish, “god, it hurts so much.”
In that moment of profound vulnerability, with your heart and your pain laid bare, you felt utterly alone.
Unbeknownst to you, the call had connected, with Gojo on the other end, hearing every broken sobs and muffled cries. Gojo’s expression softened as he listened, his usual confidence faltering in the face of your raw devastation. He hesitated, uncertain of how to intervene or if he should intervene at all. The vulnerability in your voice tugged at something deep within him, a compassion he hadn’t expected to feel so strongly.
After a long moment of silence, Gojo sighed quietly to himself. And with a heavy heart, he made a difficult decision, hesitantly ending the call.
The morning arrived with the soft rays of the sun filtering through your curtains, casting a muted glow across the room. You stirred awake as the events of the previous evening flooded your mind once more. With a sigh, you pushed aside the lingering emotions, focusing instead on the day ahead. Gojo’s text about meeting his grandfather echoed in your thoughts, urging you to prepare despite the weight on your heart. Without hesitation you start your morning routine, moving through the motions of showering and dressing.
Once you were done you plop down in front of your vanity, hesitantly glancing at your reflection in the mirror, noticing the puffiness and redness around your eyes.
“Shit.” You muttered under your breath, “Looks like I’ll need extra makeup today.”
Without giving it much thought, you rummage through your makeup drawer, hoping to conceal the evidence of your intense crying. As you sift through the array of cosmetics, your fingers brush against something unexpected—a small, unassuming envelope nestled among the lipsticks and eyeliners. Your heart skips a beat as you recognize it instantly: the envelope Nanami had given you days ago, containing tickets to a concert.
You picked up the envelope with a mix of sadness and curiosity, turning it over in your hands. As you did, a rush of realization washed over you—the date of the concert was today. For a second the thought of inviting Gojo crossed your mind, but you dismissed it immediately, knowing he would likely decline.
“Forget it,” you murmured, slipping the envelope into your bag. “I could just ask Rin.”
A while later you stood outside, waiting for Gojo to arrive, dressed in your usual disguise—elegantly dressed with a long, styled wig that framed your face. The morning breeze played with the loose strands as you glanced through your phone absentmindedly. Your body stiffened once your gaze fell upon the recent call log with Gojo from last night. Confusion knitted your brows; you don’t recall making that call.
A flicker of panic surged through you as realization dawned.
“Oh, god. Did he hear that?!”
The thought made your chest tighten with anxiety, and you frantically scrolled through your phone, hoping there were no messages or voicemails left behind.
Just then, you spotted Gojo’s car approaching in the distance. With a deep breath, you composed yourself, tucking away your phone and putting on a polite smile as he drew near.
“Good morning,” he greeted surprisingly warmly, his eyes briefly scanning your appearance with approval. “You look lovely today.”
“T-Thank you.” You bowed quickly before getting inside the car.
As you settled into the passenger seat, silence enveloped you, the rhythm of the road beneath the wheels matched the tempo of your racing thoughts. Finally, unable to contain the question any longer, you turned slightly towards him, your voice tentative yet determined.
“Did... Did you call me yesterday?” You began, your words breaking the tense silence. “I-I had no idea, but I saw that I had a call with you last night.”
Gojo glanced at you briefly, his expression thoughtful. “Yeah, I did,” he replied gently, his eyes briefly meeting yours before returning to the road. “I called to talk about our plans for today. But I hung up because I couldn’t hear anything.”
Relief washed over you momentarily, grateful for his straightforward answer. “Oh, I see,” you murmured, your gaze drifting out the window. “Sorry about that.”
“Don’t worry about it.”
As you stared out the window, lost in thought, Gojo stole another glance at you, a flicker of concern in his eyes. He had heard more than just silence on the other end of the line last night—he had heard the vulnerability in your voice, the rawness of emotion that you hadn’t meant for him to witness.
Yet, he chose not to mention it. Instead, he focused on driving, his mind racing with unspoken thoughts and emotions.
“Ah, Miss Mei,” Gojo’s grandfather greeted warmly as you entered the grand mansion. “I’ve heard from Satoru that you have quite a fondness for steamed buns,” he continued, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he regarded you kindly.
A blush crept up your cheeks at the unexpected mention of such a trivial detail. “Oh, um, yes,” you replied with a small smile, grateful for the lighthearted turn in conversation. “I do enjoy them.”
“Well then, I must take you to a little place in Kamakura,” Gojo’s grandfather said with a genuine smile, “They make the most exquisite steamed buns you’ll ever taste. It’s a family favorite.”
“Grandfather, Kamakura is far away from here—”
“Hush, boy. I was talking to her.” He shot his grandson a sharp glare before turning to you with a warm smile, “now if you’ll excuse me.”
Gojo’s grandfather walked away to prepare himself for the trip, leaving you and Gojo momentarily alone.
“So,” you began tentatively, turning towards Gojo with a curious expression, “you remembered that?”
Gojo paused for a moment, his gaze thoughtful. “Oh, um,” he started, attempting to sound casual, “of course. You kept rambling about them during that one meeting.”
“I only mentioned it once during that meeting.”
Gojo’s usual composed demeanor faltered as you pointed out the discrepancy in his explanation. He paused, his gaze drifting away momentarily as he searched for the right words. But before he could explain himself further, the elderly man came back, interrupting the moment between you.
“Now, shall we go?”
As you stood outside the quaint restaurant in Kamakura that sold the renowned steamed buns, Gojo’s grandfather wasted no time in engaging the owner in a cheerful conversation. His enthusiasm was infectious as he exchanged pleasantries and shared anecdotes.
The bustling street around you hummed with activity, locals and tourists alike weaving through the narrow lanes lined with shops and stalls. You turned towards Gojo with a curious expression, breaking the comfortable silence between you.
“We really went all the way to Kamakura for steamed buns?” you asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
Gojo chuckled softly, a hint of amusement in his eyes. “When my grandfather has a favorite, he’ll go to great lengths for it,” he replied with a small smirk, glancing over at his grandfather fondly. “And it’s not just about the steamed buns, it’s about the memories associated with this place.”
You looked at him, struck by the sincerity in his words. It was clear that this outing meant more to him than simply enjoying a local delicacy. Before you could respond, Gojo’s phone suddenly rang, interrupting the moment. He glanced at the screen briefly before excusing himself with an apologetic smile and stepping aside to take the call. You watched him go, feeling a pang of disappointment at the abrupt disruption.
Meanwhile, Gojo’s grandfather noticed the lull in conversation and turned his attention back to you. “Come, Miss Mei,” he beckoned warmly, gesturing towards the restaurant. “Let’s not keep the steamed buns waiting.”
With a nod, you followed him inside the cozy space, the aroma of freshly steamed buns enveloping you as you entered. The owner greeted you warmly, offering a selection of their finest buns. You thanked him graciously, choosing a few varieties to sample, eager to experience the flavors that had captivated Gojo’s family for generations.
As you savored the delicious steamed buns in the company of Gojo’s grandfather, a comfortable silence settled between you. After a while, he cleared his throat, his expression thoughtful.
“I must apologize, Miss Mei,” he began earnestly, his voice tinged with regret. “For the way I acted during our first meeting. It was... abrupt, and I realize now that I may have come across as imposing.”
You blinked in surprise at his unexpected apology, touched by his sincerity. “Oh, no,” you replied quickly, shaking your head. “It’s quite alright, really. I understand.”
“And I want to thank you.”
Surprised, you looked up from your food, meeting his warm gaze with curiosity. “Thank me?” you echoed, unsure of what he meant.
He nodded slowly, a small smile playing on his lips. “For making Satoru happy,” he explained sincerely. “I can see it, you know. He cares deeply for you. So please take good care of him.”
You felt your cheeks warm at his unexpected words, a warm and fluttery feeling stirring in your stomach. “O-Of course.” You replied softly, nodding in affirmation.
As you glanced out the window at Gojo, with a gentle smile forming on your lips, you became momentarily distracted. Unbeknownst to you, your hand brushed against your bag, causing it to slip from your lap and tumble to the ground. The sudden crash startled you, and your heart skipped a beat as your belongings spilled out onto the floor.
Embarrassment washed over you as you hastily knelt down to gather your things, fingers trembling slightly as you reached for your scattered items. You managed to grab your phone and a few loose items, but as you hastily gathered them, your wallet that held your ID card slipped from your fingers and slid across the floor.
Before you could react, Gojo’s grandfather was already beside you, his movements swift yet gentle as he helped collect your belongings. His kind eyes met yours briefly, offering reassurance amidst your flustered state. In your haste, you snatched up your wallet, fearing he might catch a glimpse of your true identity. However, as he reached down to retrieve a stray item, his hand brushed against the envelope Nanami had given you earlier. His curiosity piqued, he picked it up and examined it briefly. His eyes widened slightly as he noticed the tickets inside, neatly tucked away.
Gojo came in suddenly with a composed expression, his phone call apparently resolved. “Sorry to interrupt, but we should head back to Tokyo. I have some business to attend to.” He announced, his tone carrying a sense of urgency.
His grandfather, still holding the envelope with the concert tickets, frowned slightly. “Business to attend to?” he chided gently, his voice laced with a hint of disapproval. “You never seem to have time for the simpler things that Miss Mei can’t even ask you about things like this.”
Gojo’s eyes widened in confusion. “What did I—” he paused for a moment, knowing that arguing with the old man would be futile, “what are those?”
“They’re concert tickets.” The elder man responded in a matter-of-fact kind of tone, waving it in front of Gojo’s face, “seeing as how they’re for today, she must’ve bought them to go with you. Right, Miss Mei?”
Caught off guard, you blinked rapidly, trying to keep up with the unexpected turn of events.
“Um, well, I...” you stammered, searching for words as Gojo's grandfather fixed you with an expectant look.
“What?” Gojo interjected, confusion etching on his features.
“Stupid, boy. We need to get going now!” His grandfather commanded, slapping the tickets into Gojo’s hand with a forceful gesture before he started making his way towards the car. “Come on, let’s go.”
You finally arrived at the concert venue, the bustling energy of the crowd filled the air with excitement. The driver pulled the car to a stop at the curb as the elderly man turned to face you both as you and Gojo stepped out of the vehicle.
“Have fun, you two,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument. “Now, go!”
Gojo, ever the dutiful grandson, attempted to protest. “Grandfather, you really didn’t have to drop us off here. We could have—”
“Nonsense!” his grandfather interrupted, waving a dismissive hand. “You think I’m stupid, boy? If I hadn’t done this, you’d have found some excuse to sneak off to work.”
Gojo opened his mouth to retort but then closed it, realizing the truth in his grandfather’s words.
“I want to see the two of you head inside.” His grandfather mused, waving his hand to urge you both along.
Gojo sighed, a hint of resignation spreading across his features. “Alright, alright.” He conceded, turning towards the concert entrance.
You quickly bowed to Gojo’s grandfather, a gesture of gratitude and respect. “Thank you, sir,” you said sincerely, before hurrying to catch up with Gojo. “Let’s just go in and then come back right out when he’s gone.” You whispered to Gojo, turning to take a quick glance back at the car.
To your surprise, the car was still there, parked at the curb. Gojo’s grandfather was watching you both intently, a knowing smile on his face. He waved his hands once more, urging you further inside.
Gojo glanced back as well and let out a small groan. “He’s not going to leave until he’s sure we’re staying,” he said, shaking his head. “Just give up.”
As you and Gojo made your way deeper into the venue, you could still feel the eyes of his grandfather on you, ensuring you followed through with the plan. Finally, you found your seats, settling in as the lights began to dim and the first notes of music filled the air.
Gojo leaned closer to you, his voice barely audible over the excited murmurs of the crowd. “Looks like we’re committed now,” he said, a rare and genuine smile spreading across his face.
You let out a small, nervous chuckle as you nodded to his words.
As the concert progressed, the artist on the stage suddenly pauses between the songs, a bright smile spreading across their face.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” they began, their voice amplified through the speakers, “tonight we have something very special planned. We’re going to take some song requests along with their special stories.”
The crowd murmured with excitement as the artist pulled out a small stack of papers from a box. “We’ve received so many wonderful stories, and I’m so thrilled to share one with you now,” the artist continued, unfolding a paper and beginning to read.
“I bought tickets for today’s show and gave them to a close friend of mine. We’ve been good friends for seven years now and she’s always been there for me through thick and thin, from consoling me with drinks when my girlfriend broke up with me to celebrating every small victory. She doesn’t have a boyfriend yet, but I’m hoping that she’ll find someone special soon and maybe attend the concert together. Please play her favorite song tonight; it means a lot to her.
And to top it off, she bakes the most incredible bread at her bakery, which I absolutely love getting from her.”
As the artist read aloud the heartfelt story from the paper, your heart sank. The words struck a chord deep within you, resonating with a painful familiarity. Nanami’s thoughtful gesture was unmistakable, and it was about you—his words echoing in your mind, reminding you of the unspoken feelings you harbored for him.
A whirlwind of emotions swept through you—panic, sadness, and longing. You felt a lump form in your throat as the artist continued, mentioning details that only Nanami would know—your role in comforting him, your bakery, and your shared moments of support and friendship.
The artist suddenly announces the row and seat number associated with the story, the spotlights suddenly shining on you, confirming to everyone that the heartfelt story was about you. You glanced around nervously, suddenly feeling exposed and vulnerable in the midst of the crowd. Nanami’s face flashed in your mind, imagining his gentle smile as he wrote those words, oblivious to the depth of your feelings for him.
“You came with a gentleman today!” the artist beamed upon seeing you and Gojo together.
“I-I— no he’s not—” you stammered, trying to protest, but the artist continued.
“I guess your friend’s wish came true! I’m sure he’ll be happy. Congratulations to his friend of seven years.”
As the song began to play, chosen especially for you, the music seemed to surround you with its bittersweet melody. You dared a quick glance at Gojo, who was watching you with concern, unaware of the turmoil within you. You wanted to disappear, to escape this moment of emotional reckoning that Nanami had unwittingly triggered.
Memories flooded your mind like a relentless wave. You couldn’t help but reminisce about all the times you had spent with Nanami—starting from high school when you first began harboring feelings for him. You remembered the moments of laughter, inside jokes that only the two of you understood, the way he listened intently to your rambles about your dreams and fears, the comfort of his presence during challenging times, the late-night conversations that lingered in your heart long after they had ended. Each memory stung with the ache of unrequited love.
The weight of Nanami’s gesture at the concert, his heartfelt words read aloud to the world, intensified the flood of emotions within you. Tears welled up in your eyes, feeling exposed and vulnerable.
Gojo glanced at you from the corner of his eye. His expression remained outwardly composed, a mask of nonchalance that could barely conceal the worry that started to etch into his features.
Without a word, he subtly retrieved a handkerchief from his pocket and extended it towards you. It was a small act, yet it conveyed his understanding of your emotional turmoil, showing you a depth of concern and compassion that spoke volumes.
You slowly accepted the handkerchief with a grateful nod, dabbing at your tears as discreetly as you could manage.
Once the concert was done you found yourself walking with Gojo in the quiet streets of Tokyo, the lingering emotions from the evening weighed heavily on you.
Gojo glanced at you quickly, his expression still composed but with a subtle shift of concern beginning to show. The silence stretched between you until he finally spoke, his voice soft against the backdrop of the city’s murmurs.
“Do you cry easily?” he asked, his tone gentle yet probing. “You bawled yesterday too.” He continued casually.
Your breath caught in your throat at his words, realizing he had indeed heard you cry. Heat rose to your cheeks as the feeling of embarrassment washed through you.
“B-But you said you didn’t hear—”
“It seemed like you didn’t want me to know, so..”
The admission hung in the air between you as you walked on in silence once more, each step carrying the weight of unspoken thoughts and emotions.
“Thank you… For today. For everything.” You began softly, “for pretending that you didn’t notice that I cried yesterday. And for coming to the concert with me, which I could’ve gone to all by myself.”
“Not only that,” Gojo started, taking a quick glance at you, “I almost looked like a really pitiful person when you cried like that at the concert.”
“W-What?”
Gojo chuckled lightly. “I overheard someone saying that I was just a replacement for your friend.”
Your heart sank at his words, guilt washing over you. “I-I’m sorry.”
He shook his head, offering you a reassuring smile. “Don’t apologize,” he said firmly, his tone gentle but firm. “I mean, it’s not like I’m your real boyfriend anyway.”
His words caught you off guard, a mix of relief and confusion washing over you. It’s true that he’s not your real boyfriend, but why did his words make you feel… Sad?
“I know.” You replied softly, averting your gaze from his.
“Did you have a crush on him for seven years?” He asked suddenly, his curiosity evident in his tone.
“Was it that obvious?” you replied with a wry smile, feeling a twinge of embarrassment at the thought of how transparent your feelings might have been.
Gojo chuckled softly, a sound that carried both amusement and sympathy. “Maybe a little,” he admitted, glancing at you with a knowing look. “Besides, anyone with eyes would’ve figured that out seeing how much you cried over his words.”
“Yeah, I guess I wasn’t exactly subtle.” You replied with a sheepish smile.
“Well, at least you got some closure, right?” Gojo said with a reassuring nod.
You nodded back, a small, hopeful smile forming on your lips. “Yeah, I’m just going to accept that I just got rejected,” you admitted with a light chuckle. “Besides, the friend of mine ended up getting back together with his ex-girlfriend.”
Gojo watched you silently, a contemplative look on his face as he processed your words.
“But I don’t regret it, though,” you said with a knowing smile, “I was really happy for those seven years.”
His expression softened, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
“Someone like you who can’t tolerate wasting time, can’t understand that, right?” you teased lightly, nudging him playfully.
A small frown slowly spread across his face. “It’s not always that way.”
“Hmm?”
“There are some things where you see results quickly,” He began, his voice taking on a serious note, “and others where you have to risk losses and stay committed for the long run. So, it’s hard to judge the value of something solely based on how much time it takes.”
You let out a small laugh, causing Gojo to turn to you with a surprised look on his face.
“That’s a weird way to comfort someone, you know?” you chuckled, shaking your head in amusement. “It’s funny that you compare things to your job even in situations like this.”
Gojo scratched his head sheepishly, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. “Yeah, I guess I’m not really used to comforting people.” He admitted with a wry smile. “I tend to approach things from a practical angle.”
“Don’t worry, it was comforting enough,” you reassured him sincerely, your laughter fading into a warm smile. “Thank you.”
After a moment of comfortable silence, broken only by the soft sounds of the evening around you, you felt a twinge of guilt nagging at you. Clearing your throat softly, you turned slightly towards Gojo.
“Um, Gojo, I wanted to apologize,” you began hesitantly, “for telling that story to your grandfather during the dinner. I was feeling a bit down so I overdid things a bit so it wouldn’t be obvious… I think that’s why I said some things I shouldn’t have said.”
Gojo looked at you with surprise, his expression softening. “It’s okay,” he responded gently, shaking his head slightly. “I should apologize too. I was being a bit too sensitive about it.”
As the night deepened and the streets grew quieter around you, Gojo slowed his pace until the two of you came to a gentle stop beneath a canopy of trees. A comfortable silence enveloped you, allowing the cold breeze of the evening to soothe the edges of today’s emotions.
You stole a glance at Gojo, noticing the mix of contemplation and calm in his expression as he gazed thoughtfully into the distance. His features, illuminated by the gentle glow of the street lamps and moonlight, appeared serene yet striking. In that quiet moment, you couldn’t help but admire him— how he looked, the way he stood close to you, it all stirred emotions you couldn’t quite explain.
Quickly pulling yourself out of your thoughts, you turned your attention to the surroundings, taking in the serene atmosphere of the neighborhood.
“Where are we right now?” You asked softly, breaking the silence with a gentle inquiry.
“I don’t know,” Gojo’s eyebrows quirked up at your question, a hint of amusement in his voice. “I was just following you.”
“But I was following you.”

Dating app
Long time no writing!!!!
Aaron Hotchner X G.N. Reader
The BAU team was quietly doing paperwork. From time to time, Reid or Morgan went to the kitchen to refill their coffee cup, and Prentiss yawned and stretched. While supporting your chin, you flicked your fingers as drily watched photos of 'potential date partners'. Of course, at first, you were reluctant to sign up for a dating app, especially what you live for; you had the right to be cautious about meeting a stranger from an app. But you didn't want loneliness to become your life partner. Your finger halted in the air, and you forced yourself not to scream or jump out from your chair in surprise.
You stared at the photo on the app. Then you looked back at your boss' office. Hotch was in his dark office, looking down at his desk with only the lamp on.
You looked at the photo and the name.
It was Hotch.
You quickly observed other photos. Then you realised something was off. All 5 photos were taken from a distance. Not too far, but still, there were no selfies or face-close distance photos. Even if it was Hotch, if he signed up for the dating app, he would've at least tried to take a selfie, wouldn't he? Maybe an imposter?
You tapped your desk and then looked around. Thankfully, your friends were occupied with their own stuff, and they weren't interested in what you were doing.
Should I?
You looked back at the Hotch's office again. Would Hotch really sign up for a dating app? One way to find out. Hotch would probably leave his office to grab you if it was really him. After all, your photos and name were on the profile anyway.
'Hello, handsome.'
You messaged him. You didn't know how long he or an imposter would take to reply. Besides, you were regretting writing 'handsome'.
Your body winced as you nearly jumped out from your chair as soon as you saw 'read' appear on the chat.
'Hi, there.'
You tilted your head curiously.
As if Hotch didn't know you. You looked at the office, and you blinked. Hotch was looking at his phone now. What the hell?
'What do you like to do during free time?'
If you were drinking, you would've been spitting at the message. You looked back at the office, and Hotch was indeed typing something on his phone.
Was it really Hotch?
-----------------------------
You texted the dating app Hotch for some time, and you weren't sure if it was really Hotch or not. You just wanted to grab him and ask him. The dating app Hotch didn't seem to know about you, and Hotch behaved as if nothing happened at the office and during cases. Your friends could sense something was happening, and you were agitated. They asked, and you just told them you were fine. If Rossi or Morgan find out, they will ask Hotch directly, showing him the texts you've been having with the dating app Hotch. If it were really Aaron, it would embarrass him, and you wanted to spare that for Aaron.
Shoot, when did I start to think of him as Aaron?
You banged your head on your desk. The dating app Hotch insisted on calling him Aaron. You shook your head against the desk and could feel your friends' eyes staring at you. But you didn't care. You needed to know if the dating app Hotch was real Hotch or not.
"A trouble in paradise?"
You rolled your eyes at Morgan's comment. You turned off your phone screen before Morgan could come and look into it.
"I wish," you scoffed. You sat up straight and crossed your arms behind your head. "Just a puzzle."
Reid silently came to your side in his chair at the mention of a puzzle.
"Not that kind of puzzle," you chuckled.
"Relationship, huh?" Prentiss grinned with her pen in her mouth.
"Maybe?" You replied with a mysterious smile. "Too early to tell, I think."
"But you'll tell us when it's the time?" Morgan asked. "Penelope will love to hear about your story."
----------------------------
'Aaron, it's been two weeks we've been texting.'
'Don't you think we should meet and have lunch or something?'
'My bad. I should've asked first. Let's have lunch. I'll tell you after checking my schedule.'
'Nice. I'll be waiting to hear from you!'
You looked at the screen.
Finally, the time to check if the guy is really A… Hotch or an imposter has come.
-------------------------------
You were there first. The dating app Hotch told you where he booked the restaurant, which was in his name. You were playing with a black straw in the water glass while a block of ice was in your mouth, rolling over your tongue.
"L/N?" A dumbfounded voice called you in surprise.
You looked up, and it was Hotch. It was really Hotch. The real Aaron Hotchner, the boss of yours, the leader of the BAU of the FBI. He was staring at you with his mouth ajar. Your mouth was also hung open. You didn't realise the water from the ice was flowing over, which looked like drooling. As soon as you realised the cold feeling on your chin, you quickly cleaned it with the tissue.
"You are real Hotch." You pointed a finger at him.
Hotch made a funny face, then laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
It was your time to make a funny face. Then you took your phone out and showed him the texts you've been having on the dating app.
"You've been texting me…?"
Hotch snatched your phone and read the text for a minute. Then you saw the realisation in his eyes.
"So it was you they set me up with."
"Who?"
"My son and sister-in-law." Hotch returned the phone to you and sat in front of you. "If they set me up with you, they must have liked the text you were sending."
You opened your mouth and closed it several times.
"Sorry about this," Hotch smiled bashfully.
You weren't about to say you asked for a date to check if he was real or not.
"But you knew it was me with the photo but still asked for a date?"
"You not gonna reject now, would you?" You asked.
"Of course not," Hotch smiled softly. "How we got here doesn't matter. We're here for a date lunch, aren't we?"
You could feel blood flushing your cheeks.
"We aren't here as colleagues. Relax," Hotch smiled.
"Then can I call you Aaron?" You asked bashfully.
"You were doing it on the app."
"But it wasn't real you."
Hotch blinked at you and laughed. He looked like a different person. He was so relaxed and smiling more.
"Of course you can. If you still want to continue this, I'm open to it."
"Really?"
It felt like he had read your mind, but it didn't matter. You wanted to get to know Aaron.
"Because I'm not gonna say no, Aaron," you grinned like an idiot.
"F/N, I'm looking forward to it." Aaron mirrored your grin.
++++
"Dad!"
"Aaron!"
Aaron rubbed the back of his head as he was called by his son and sister-in-law.
"Dad, you need to go here!" Jack shoved a phone in front of his dad's face.
Aaron read the screen. It was an address of a restaurant.
"A restaurant?"
"We made a reservation in your name. Go there by 1pm on Thursday, please," Jessica informed Aaron while checking her wallet.
Aaron stared at Jack's unbelievable aunt. Only Jessica can make a request sound like an order.
"Who are you setting me with?"
Jack just grinned at his father.

How I feel about Buddie...
You guys have been warned, this is a long post.
I've always liked 911 and was a casual viewer but never got involved in the fandom or anything. Of course I knew about Buddie, but I personally never saw it. Buck and Eddie have always acted like best friends and do stuff best friends do. I have never seen any scene that could be interpreted as romantic, except maybe for the "you want to go for the title" scene. But to me it wasn't enough to ship them, especially since it was the only scenes in their hundreds of scenes together that could be seen as romantic.
Tumblr media
That being said, I've always thought the ship was cute, and I understand it because who doesn't like a good friends to lovers storyline?
I just never got involved in the fandom because their behavior reminded me of the Stucky and Destiel fandom, which were chaotic experiences for me. Some people just don't know how to handle non canon ships and act entitled, complain to the showrunners and harrass the cast. I've always tried to avoid fandoms like that, but wasn't against the idea of Buddie as a ship.
The 911 Lone Star crossover episode for me was the confirmation that Buck was into men. To me, it was obvious they confirmed he was into men but hadn't set up a storyline yet. So naturally I thought... if they set up a storyline it will be with Eddie. There was no doubt it my mind.
So fast forward, a few years, I wasn't really watching season 7 and then I see all the fuss from Buddie shippers I follow, and it makes me watch the sneak peek video from 7x04 and I'm like....For sure Buck is being jealous right? (it was the scene where Eddie interrupted Tommy giving Buck a tour)
So I decided to watch the episode convinced this was going to be the episode where they confirmed Buddie, but I was also very cautious because Buddie shippers had cried wolf too many times before.
So I was careful, but I was also convinced that this was it: "Buck was going to get jealous of Eddie hanging out with Tommy and then confess his feelings or the other way around".
And that's actually what was happening until the end of the episode, we saw Buck get jealous, and most of us assumed he was being jealous about Eddie.
We didn't figure out until the end of the episode that it was all about Tommy.
And that's the beauty of that episode because you think you're watching something when in fact you're watching something else and when you rewatch some scenes you understand it, and that plot twist was written so beautifully.
So we have Buck and Tommy have a heart to heart in Buck's kitchen and they kiss. And what a kiss... the kiss itself was Nice but the look Buck gave Tommy after the kiss was breathtaking.
From that moment on, I was rooting for them.
But I still had Buddie at the back of my mind because I was thinking, what if this is all temporary and they're planning to break them up to set up a buddie storyline? So I shipped it but didn't want to get my hopes up.
This feeling got bigger when I started watching 7x05 and I saw the way their first date ended. I thought... this is it, we might not see Tommy again, what a shame. But then Buck talked to Maddie about his date and confessed it was with Tommy. And Maddie asked: "so tell me about the hot pilot", and I thought this isn't how they'd talk about a character we never see again. But I didn't know for sure.
Maybe they were setting up a Buck x Eddie storyline....
I changed my mind when I saw Buck's coming out scene to Eddie, the scene was beautiful and at that point I still was thinking Buddie was a possibility. But one line made me think that Buddie wasn't happening: "I can't stop thinking about him".
Tumblr media
No writer would put a line like that and have Oliver say it like that with that look, if they were thinking Buck and Eddie would have a romantic scene in the future. And if you do write that, you would get a jealous reaction from the other character, not a "You should call Tommy".
And then I was conforted in my feelings when the writers doubled down and had Buck invite Tommy to Maddie's wedding. Buck could have just apologized and asked Tommy on antoher date, but no, he invited him to his sister's wedding.
There has been absolutely no hint of a romantic relationship between Buck and Eddie throughout the season. There has never been a sign of jealousy from Buck or Eddie's side when they were dating Tommy, Marisol. If they had been setting up that storyline, the writers would put some hints here and there. Instead, they shared meaningful scenes like best friends do.
I never had anything againdt Buddie as a ship, I was even open to it, but all the times I thought Buddie was going to happen, it was because of the fandom, not because of something I saw in the saw...To me Buddie is and will stay a fanon ship.
TL:DR: I don't hate the ship, I find it cute but the behavior of some shippers has made me want to stay away from the fandom. And when I thought Buddie might be happening, the writers showed us they had long term plans for Bucktommy.

okay okay. so reader and eddie like each other but its a secret from the other and eddie bullies her lightly (cos he doesnt know how to deal with emotions) and shes super insecure cos she has like no friends and stuff and he went prom dress shopping with chrissy and saw reader there and teased her about the dress she picked and she got sad and cried at home then its prom and eddie's rejected everyone cos hes waiting for reader to show up and finally confess but shes nowhere to be found so he goes to her house with flowers or smth and he finds her crying and he comforts her and has her put her dress on and they kiss
IM SORRY IF THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!!
but thank you SO MUCH ash your writing is literally amazing it always has me in my feels <333 thank you for bringing so much happiness (and angst LMAO) to my feed!!

Prom Dress
Tumblr media
Eddie never had a good hand on his emotions, he never learned how to express what he felt correctly. All he saw growing up was expressing emotions through anger. His dad was never around to tell him about girls and his mom was never there to teach him how a girl wants to be treated. So he went with what came naturally, except he barely ever felt real feelings towards a girl.
Until he met Y/N
Eddie was popular, it was easy to have girls on his arm and in his bed. But he didn't have feelings for them, so it was easy sweet talk and then they wouldn't talk again. But it was like his brain froze when he was in Y/N's presence. His sweet talk was out the door as he stuttered out something to say, and it was always a comment that sent her over the edge. He just didn't know that.
Y/N was a very alone person. She wasn't the best at making friends, making peace with being her own friend. She was insecure, never telling a boy how she felt because she knew it would go the exact way she thought it would. And when she realized her heart raced when Eddie walked in the halls, she knew that one would never happen.
Plus she has a good damn feeling he hated her guts. He added fire to the hell she lived in but there was something about him that she wanted. She allowed herself to be his punching bag because she felt alive when his eyes were on her. He was practically the only person that talked to her, and she didn't want to give that up.
Because at the end of the day, she had Eddie Munson's attention.
~~~
Eddie groaned as Chrissy picked up another dress to try on. He looked at his watch, annoyed that they had been in the same shop for two hours.
"At this point, Jason won't care what you pick. Can we please go?" Eddie moaned, his head thrown back as he sat on the uncomfortable chairs.
"You're fine. I have two more dresses and then we'll leave!" Chrissy sighed, going into the changing room.
Eddie moved his head back and looked around the store. He blinked a few times when he saw someone familiar. He stood up and slowly walked closer, squinting his eyes as a girl walked away from the register with a puffy pink dress.
"Y/N?"
She froze as she recognized the voice. Already on edge as she turned out. Panic in her eyes as she met his brown ones.
"Hi Eddie," she said, a small smile as she greeted him politely.
"Is that your prom dress?" He asked, his eyes looking over her shoulder as she held it.
"Yeah," she said quietly
"So you are going to prom? What? Alone?" He scoffed, a mocking chuckle left his mouth and Y/N shifted on her feet uncomfortably.
"Um, I don't know yet. Depends if someone asks" She shrugged
Eddie felt his body burn, a sense of discomfort thinking of someone asking her. Some guy takes her, takes pictures, and spins her on the dance floor. Someone she would have gotten dressed up for. He wasn't sure why the thought made him so damn angry. But the good news for him, he knew how to express anger.
"Ask you? You know that's not going to happen" he argued, his eyes dark as he stared down at her. "And while you are wearing that? A puffy pink dress, you think you are some fairytale princess? That dress looks like it's for a five-year-old old" He teased, but it wasn't his usual tease. This time it felt like every word he said sliced through her.
The one dress that fit her like a glove. The one dress that made every problem wash away. A dress where for once she felt beautiful.
She didn't say anything, just turned around and walked out of the store.
She cried as she raced to her car, harshly throwing the dress in the backseat. She cried the whole way home, feeling helpless in this world. She wasn't sure why it felt like everything was always up against her.
~~~
It was the night of the prom, and Y/N ignored the dress that hung up in her closet.
She bought it a week ago, a week since Eddie ruined the one bit of confidence she had left.
She wanted to return it, but the store wouldn't take it. So now she was stuck with a reminder that she would never be the gorgeous girl who walked into prom and changed everyone's perspective of her. She would still be that loser everyone laughed about.
So she stayed home. Her parents weren't too involved with her life, out on vacation as she sat on the couch. She watched romantic movies, crying as she stuffed her mouth with chocolate ice cream.
~
Eddie checked his watch for the tenth time of the night. The loud music overwhelmed him as he kept his eyes on the door.
"Want to dance?" A girl from the cheerleading squad asked.
"No thanks. I'm waiting for someone" he said with a tight smile, then moved his eyes back to the door
The prom started two hours ago, and she still wasn't there.
He turned down about ten dances before he took matters into his own hands.
He grabbed his keys from his pocket and hit the road. The flowers he bought sat in his passenger seat, guess he was going to drive them to her instead.
He pulled up to her driveway, letting out a nervous breath as he got out. He fixed his suit, patted down his hair, and gripped the flowers. He knocked on the door, stepping back as he waited for it to open.
"Eddie?" She was surprised, her body mostly covered by the door. Some sort of protection for herself.
He looked up and frowned. Her eyes were red and her cheeks were wet. And she wasn't anywhere near dressed up for prom. Her hair was down, but no makeup on her face.
"Hey, can I come in?" He asked
"Why?" She asked, covering her body even more with the door
"Why didn't you come to prom?"
She was surprised he even noticed. But she was more curious as to why it mattered to him.
"Didn't want to go. Is that all?" She snapped. It was enough that he could torture her at school and outside of school. But at her own house is where she drew the line.
"Um, uh, these are for you," he said shyly, not used to her face looking so annoyed and a snap in her tone.
She eyed the flowers as he held them out for her. She opened the door wider to grab them. They were truly beautiful and it was the first time she ever received flowers.
"Oh um thank you, Eddie," she said, smelling the flowers
"Can I come in? Maybe we can talk?" He asked, he twiddled his fingers as he waited for her to reply
"Uh sure but don't you have like a date or something?" She asked
"No, I was waiting for you," he said honestly, for once just saying what he felt instead of turning it into a joke.
She didn't know what to say so she opened the door and let him step inside.
She walked to the kitchen and got a vase for the flowers. He followed without asking.
"So why were you waiting for me? Was a big bucket of red paint gonna fall over me?" She asked, watching as the water filled the clear vase.
"No, why would I do that?" He asked, his head turned like a confused puppy
She laughed to herself bitterly
"Because you make my life hell" She looked at him like it was obvious. Softly placing the flowers on the kitchen table.
"I don't mean to, I'm sorry" his eyes looked sincere but she wasn't sure what trap he was waiting for.
"Then why do you do it?" She asked, her arms crossed as she angrily looked at him. Maybe this was her chance to finally stick up for herself and tell him to shove everything up his ass.
"Because I like you, and I wasn't sure how to show that" he explained, a small blush formed on his face as he muttered the words.
Y/N stood frozen as she stared at him like he had two heads.
Eddie confessed he liked her?
What kind of prank was this?
"Which I can see now I did in every wrong way possible. I'm sorry for everything, I didn't know I was upsetting you."
She sighed as the apology lifted some weight off her body. It felt nice to finally be apologized to.
"Thank you for apologizing," she said, a small smile on her face
"Thank you for allowing me to," he said, a shy smile on his face
They stared at each other, neither knowing what the next move should be.
"Can I uh see your dress? I saw it in the store but didn't get to see what it looked like on you" he asked, his eyes moving to the floor
"Are you going to make fun of me?" She asked, her arms crossed. Her protection shield is back up.
"No!" He shook his head dramatically, "I know my horrible take on flirting was more hurtful. So I will keep my mouth shut" he said
"That was flirting? God, you are horrible" she joked, loving the way the air shifted into something lighthearted. He laughed with her and agreed.
She led him to her room, allowing him to sit on the bed as she went into the bathroom to change.
She slipped on the pink dress, looking at herself in the mirror. That same rush of confidence filled her body. It was like the dress was magical and healed every broken part of her. She tried to reach the back zipper but couldn't get it. Her face was already on fire as she realized what she had to do.
She walked into the room, Eddie looked up from his hands and his mouth dropped. His eyes skimmed over her dress, the way it hugged her body perfectly.
"Could you zip me up?" She asked, turning around as she tried to keep her breathing normal.
He coughed and stood up. Wiping his sweaty palms on his suit pants. His fingers danced down her spine, making her shiver. He reached the zipper and slowly pulled it up, her skin disappearing under the fabric.
The room felt thick as she slowly turned around. The ghost of his fingers was still on her back.
"You look breathtaking," he said, his voice a quiet whisper as he looked into her eyes
She gulped when his eyes dropped down to her lips. Then he was slowly leaning in.
His hand moved up to hold her cheek, and his eyes moved up to her eyes to check for a sign of rejection. But her eyes were zoned in on his lips.
He smirked as he noticed, slowly leaning in until his lips pressed perfectly against hers.
She wasn't sure where to put her hands so she softly placed them on his chest. Her head turned as he deepened the kiss.
She felt like he kept chasing her lips, sucking away her breath as she gripped his suit in her fingers.
Her body buzzed with electricity. His lips and hands were softer than she thought they would be. His kiss was gentle and slow. Her stomach fluttered and her head spun.
He held back his moans as he slipped his tongue in her mouth. Her lips were soft and warm. Her hands on his chest made his heart race and his face flush. He tried his best to not get carried away, not wanting to scare her. His free hand slipped to her back as he pushed her further against him. He never felt this way ever when he kissed a girl.
She pulled back when she felt like she couldn't breathe. She took a huge puff of air into her lungs as they kept their faces close.
Panting against each other as they looked into each other's eyes.
Like she said, it was a magical dress.

how do you envision billy and stu’s bedrooms? cause every scene in my head it’s completely different to how it was in the last and i need to have the same thought whenever a scene comes across in one of their bedrooms
Tumblr media
^^Alright so I have actually drawn Billy's room! this is the background of a piece that will be on my patreon once i feel like i have enough content to actually launch it. I wouldn't say this is exactly canon, I started working on it before I started writing Debaser and there's some stuff i would switch up, like some of the movie posters. There's also the non-canon Maureen VHS which they obv don't have because they didn't film that. But yeah this is a basic idea of what Billy's room looks like to me.
As best as I can tell this is the bedroom they shot as Stu's room.
Tumblr media
^^As you can see it has a ridiculous number of doors, and we know the door to the attic is behind the camera because that's where Sidney goes during the chase. We also know the two doors on the left side lead into the hallway, again because of the chase scene. The door on the right I'm going to guess leads into a bathroom, because another door leading to the hallway or into another room would be sheer insanity. This one bedroom has four fucking doors and none of them seem to lead to a closet.
Tumblr media
^^^From the movie we can see more of the right side of the room. There appears to be a fireplace mantel, likely bricked off and not functional. Stu is using it as a shelf, it looks like there's some tapes and maybe a trophy there. We can also see his TV and some posters on the wall- someone has made a post where they identified these posters but I can't find it rn (thank you tumblr's broken search function). If anyone knows the post I'm talking about please feel free to link it!
Tumblr media
^^^There's also at least three things that look like they could be one of Billy's flannels in this room. We never see Stu wearing blue or plaid in the movie and imo from his costuming it doesn't seem like his style so this detail is pretty funny to me. Billy is just leaving his repetitive wardrobe all over Stu's room. Gee I wonder why.
So that's basically Stu's room in the movie. The way I see it in Debaser is a little bit different, but in many ways the same. First big difference: a maximum of three doors. One to the hall, one to the bathroom and one to the attic storage space. Two doors to the hallway just feels homophobic. Another difference is that I imagine his TV somewhere at the foot of the bed, just makes for a much more comfortable watching experience.
I also imagine him with a lot more on the walls.
Tumblr media
^^^Chip Sutphin's (also a Matthew lillard character) room from Serial Mom is a good example with all the Fangoria posters and stuff. Imo Stu is definitely reading fangoria.
(Unrelated side note can I just say i can’t see Chip's girlfriend Birdie without seeing pre-transition Billy. The Blue plaid, the short brown hair, the horror obsession) ⬇️
Tumblr media
Like, this is Chips girlfriend and best friend. This movie came out in 1994. I can't. ⬇️
Tumblr media
Ok, side note adjourned, back to Stu's bedroom.
Overall I see it as a lot more packed and messy than Billy's. There's more on the walls and more on the floor. I also think he's got a big ass shelf of tapes and video games, and probably some leftover action figures from when he was a kid. I think he kept more of his childhood stuff like that than Billy did. He doesn't play with his action figures anymore obv, but he hasn't thrown them out.
So yeah, that's sort of an idea what their rooms look like in my mind! I do plan on drawing Stu's room at some point but these kinds of detailed room drawings take me so much time, I'm not sure exactly when that will happen.
Edit: Ps you can read what’s written in the notebook in Billys room, please do

Hello this is still the “ex” anon lol. I want to say I’m glad y’all are enjoying the tea lol, but this will be my last post before someone jumps me lol. I’m deleting Tumblr after this post, so I won’t be responding to anymore questions.
Can someone explain to me why both jim and Ellen don’t want Jack being out in the public? That’s just something I don’t get
- they want to make sure people know he’s taking his recovery very seriously since ppl were giving him shit about his playing while injured. Plus they want the focus to be on their future Norris winner.
ignore the stupid ass wording but did this actually happen between ellen and sammy because sideline times we don’t know if they’re reliable but you did say ellen isn’t a fan, have they gotten into arguments or ellen being harsh
- I just read the article and I can’t believe that got out lol. I didn’t think I was gonna speak on it but yeah it’s part of the reason they’re not on friendly terms. It’s a mix of Ellen finding out about the Luke thing (post skate), Sammy writing an email responding to a news outlet asking for details about their romance ( I’m not sure how Ellen specifically found out it was Sammy, but basically their PR team was sent the emails asked for further comment from Ellen and Ellen got pissed tf off) and the Zionist stuff, she’s not a fan favorite.
What have u heard them say could u give us a few examples of how they brag (about being Jewish)
- they just use it as a personality trait, like look at me I’m “ethnic” and different and cool. They also use it as an excuse to be rude sometimes. Like for example one time she was in class with her friends and they were doing a group project and they were really stand offish towards this girl and when confronted they claimed it was bc they were Jewish and Jewish ppl are standoffish. It’s stuff like that.
Does Sammy even feel guilty of cheating on Jack?? Like that would be the end for me and Do they move past it or does Jack hold her accountable I wonder if she gaslights considering the way she acts
- So I’m not 100% she’s ever cheated on him. One of their mutual friends told Jack she cheated on him at a party, but there wasn’t any proof and Sammy denied it so I think he just let it go. He’s definitely suspicious of her tho and she’s been known to cheat on boyfriends before. But I can’t confirm she did.
are they actually planning on moving in together if you do know anon?
- no there isn’t any plans, they’re not serious. I meant they’re together like bf/gf but they aren’t serious like moving in planning the future serious. Sorry for the confusion.
anon do you see them still staying together once the season starts and they aren’t long distance anymore?
- nope, I think Jack will be so focused on the season and having a great season he probably won’t have time for her. However I can’t predict the future.
What do they say during their fights?
- idk man, I’ve just heard yelling. I know there’s a good bit of jealousy that’s about it.
do you know if some of the boys check what their fans do for example tumblr/tiktok and more? I'm curious about it
- I know their team sometimes lurks here when the boys (mainly Jack) does something stupid. But the boys not so much. The boys normally avoid fandom stuff, but they do see twitter, instagram, and TikTok stuff.
What are sammys friends like? Are any of them nice? Idk I couldn’t be friends with someone like that even if they were nice to me
- they’re basically just like her, some are nicer than others, some are meaner than others.
How did jack and Sammy meet?
- They met through mutual friends at a party around August.
question for anon regarding this part: "Yes they are on here (i'm probably gonna get jumped lol). And yes they know people are watching, they love the attention."
is this something she'd openly admit to? how do you know? that's so embarrassing for her lol
- Because she makes jokes about it and shows it off. I probably should’ve mentioned this earlier but we have mutual friends so I know about a lot of convos she has regarding fandom stuff. Also I’ve seen many of her friends’ private stories on snap where she’ll mock different fandom stuff. She doesn’t do it around the boys, so idk if they’ve seen that or not. Idk who on snap they follow.
I’ve summarized EX ANON’s stories here and maybe both of you have crossed path… I need to know if you have more information from your cousin regarding Luke/Sammy/Jack saga? Because sideline times said, luke had a crush with sammy 😭 (“Curly & Confused has also lost his crush to his brother”)
- I know this isn’t for me, but I doubt Luke had a crush on her beyond thinking she was pretty. He was defo grossed out by her crazy behavior so that went away QUICK. But Luke is really guarded about his love life, so maybe there’s more, but I’m doubtful.
Thank you anon! Stay safe

“I thought he was vaccinated against everything,” Rory commented snidely, watching as Sam checked Tommy’s temperature.
“Yeah? You think I got a magic shot that keeps people from getting any kind of sickness, and I’m wasting it on chum like him?” Sam snapped back, pulling the thermometer out and squinting to read it.
“One-oh-three. That’s not a good sign. At 104, your body temperature starts to denature the proteins in your brain. You know what that means, dipshit?”
Rory bristled, but Michelle put a hand on his shoulder.
“It means you start to cook.” Michelle’s voice was soft but serious, his dark brown eyes trained on Tommy. He sighed and tucked a short loc behind his ear. He had a pacifying effect on Rory, which was much appreciated with them all crammed inside Tommy’s little room.
Tommy was laying on the bed, shivering even as sweat beaded on his forehead. He clutched his thin bedsheet in his hands like it was a lifeline. Or at least, with one hand, and the fingers poking out of his cast on the other.
“So… can you give him an antibiotic or something?” Rory tried.
“Maybe you could use some chicken soup,” Caius murmured to Tommy. He was sitting on the bed by Tommy’s knees, and he smoothed the sheets over him with gentle hands.
Sam was digging in his pockets, pulling out a random assortment of pills, pocket change, and lint. He set them on the sheet over Tommy’s stomach until he had a little pile from his various pockets. Rory scoffed, but let it go with a low mutter of “whatever” when Michelle gave him a look.
Sam gathered a couple of red pills from his pile, as well as selecting three big white tablets.
“These will knock it out. If he isn’t significantly improved by tomorrow, I can try a different set.”
“What does he have?” Caius asked, picking the bits of lint out of the pile and flicking them off of the bed.
“It’s probably the same bug everyone has been getting lately. Could’ve picked it up from a client, or one of you. Regardless, he’ll be right as rain in a matter of days.”
Sam was very nonchalant about it, but Caius continued to fidget. Sam swiped the unused pills back into his pockets and sighed.
“He’s got a cold. Maybe a cool bath or shower, nothing hot until that temperature goes down. Chicken soup, sure, lots of garlic. Fruit juice if he’s allowed it, get some vitamin C. Take it easy, lots of rest, all the normal stuff.”
“Okay,” Caius affirmed, pulling loose threads from a small rip in the bedsheet.
“All good then?” Michelle asked. He and Rory were itching to leave - Tommy was Caius’s business to mind, after all.
“Yeah, all good,” Sam told them, and they shuffled out with mumbled goodbyes.
Caius hadn’t met Sam’s eyes since he got here.
“It was bound to happen, you know, at some point. It’ll probably happen again, but it’s fine.”
Caius nodded.
Sam sighed and put a tentative hand on his shoulder.
“You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I know,” Caius snapped, finally taking his eyes off of Tommy to give Sam a withering look, but it seemed to break his spell.
Okay, clearly the crazy train was full steam ahead today. Caius was a lot less concerned a week ago when he dragged Tommy into the lab by the wrist he’d shattered.
“Oooooookay, well, have fun with sicko here then. Let me know if he dies,” he joked lamely. Tommy pulled the sheet over his face, and Caius chuckled in spite of himself.
After Sam left, Caius locked the door behind him. Not that his patient was going anywhere fast, but he wanted privacy. Tommy whined when Caius pulled the sheet away, but was too weak to argue when he coaxed him to sit up.
“Open.”
Tommy’s mouth dropped open. Caius slipped him the red pills.
“Head back.”
He tipped the glass of water to his mouth, and Tommy drank. Hesitantly at first, and then eagerly, until Caius pulled it away.
“Couple more pills, then you can have some lemonade.”
The white pills weren’t coated, and they left a faint white chalk on Caius’s fingers. Tommy grimaced at the bitter taste, and Caius pressed the glass to his mouth again quickly.
“Swallow, swallow.” He’d heard you could massage a person’s neck to make them swallow, but he wasn’t sure how. He wrapped his hand around Tommy’s throat, but he did not squeeze, just felt the fragile bones under his fingers as they flexed.
“Good boy,” he murmured, and brushed Tommy’s hair away from his forehead. It felt incredibly warm.
One degree away from cooking his brain. Right.
“Let’s get you a nice cold bath, hm?”
Tommy had to keep his cast dry, so he sat in the bath with his injured arm dangling over the side. He shivered as the tub slowly filled around him, but still downed the cold lemonade Caius gave him without hesitation. Caius also brought down two of his washcloths, dunking them in the water and laying one on his forehead. The other one went over his belly, which made Tommy cringe, and he moved to pull it off. He grabbed for it with his bad hand on instinct, and got distracted looking at his cast. He looked between his two arms, and his brow furrowed with concern.
“Is my skin turning yellow?”
Caius looked him over. He looked flushed, but not yellow.
“No. You have a fever, you’re just seeing things.”
“Oh.”
Tommy was quiet and still. His eyes drooped and he quickly started to nod off, even in the cold tub.
It was so rare to see him relaxed like this. Caius usually only saw it when he was unconscious, or at the very least, heavily drugged. Tommy wasn’t trying to shield himself or hide or cower. Caius relished the effect that he had on the boy, but there was a simple pleasure here in a more relaxed, companionable silence.
Tommy startled awake with a gasp.
“Breathe, honey.”
Tommy groaned and tried to sit up a bit, but he started to prop himself up with his broken arm without thinking. He yelped and yanked his hand back immediately, making him fall back the slight distance he had gained. The bath water splashed, and Caius sighed.
Tommy cradled his broken arm against his chest, keening quietly to himself and grimacing as the pain flared intensely. He folded his legs closer to his chest and anxiously bounced them while he waited for the pain to ease. Caius dangled his arm into the tub, drawing idle patterns in the water with his fingers. After a few minutes he pulled his hand out, flicking thne water off of his fingers onto Tommy with a shy smile. He peeled the washcloth off of his forehead and replaced it with the back of his hand. He felt a little cooler, but still quite warm. Caius ran the washcloth under the cold tap again, and Tommy winced weakly when he laid it back on his head. He let the cold tap run a while longer, drawing his patterns in the rising water.
Either the pain had passed, or Tommy had wiped himself out. He slowly relaxed limp in the tub, his legs settling to the bottom and his arms resting heavily on the sides of the bath. He trembled slightly as the icy water slowly climbed his body, but he was too tired to curl up again.
“Did you call me ‘honey’?”
Caius murmured back without looking up, watching his hand idly playing in the water just above Tommy’s submerged thigh.
“I don’t know, I just feel like babying you right now.”
Caius was surprised by his own sudden honesty, but it felt good to say. He doubted Tommy would remember much of this anyways, and he felt oddly comforted by it. He felt silly for getting so shy about Tommy all of the sudden.
Tommy was quiet for a moment before swallowing.
“Does that mean you’ll sign my cast?”
Caius looked up at that. Tommy was breathing shallowly, but he met Caius’s gaze with a soft expression.
“My mom told me that the more people you get to sign your cast, the better it’ll heal.”
Caius chewed his lip for a moment, mulling it over. He reluctantly left Tommy to go find a marker. He passed by the kitchen and stopped to dig in a cupboard for Michelle’s candy stash. He found a nice bar of dark chocolate, each broad square filled with a liquid raspberry center. He’d go into town in a day or two, he’d have to remember to pick something up to replace it.
When he returned to Tommy, the bath was starting to fill too high. He turned it off, but found Tommy asleep. He had lost the flush in his cheeks, and was starting to look quite pale. He woke him up with a square of chocolate pressed to his pale lips.
“I think you need some sugar. Chocolate is good for the soul.”
Tommy opened his eyes blurrily, confused. He licked his dry lips and accepted the chocolate, biting down slowly, careful not to bite Caius’s fingertips. Well…careful not to bite him hard, anyways. Once he swallowed it, Caius pushed his fingers past his lips again just to feel along his teeth with the tips of his fingers. Tommy didn’t resist, just tolerated it without the energy to care. When he was satisfied, he wiped his hand on Tommy’s cheek before grabbing a square for himself. He bit it in half before pulling it away, holding it up to look at the chocolate cross-section.
It had a thin dark chocolate shell, but inside there was a sweet raspberry filling dyed bright red. He flattened it between his fingers, and the filling bulged around the cracks in the chocolate as he crushed it. He brought it to Tommy, who opened his mouth expectantly, but he just rubbed the raspberry cream on Tommy’s lips. He flicked off a few bits of the chocolate and spread it with his finger, painting it on like a messy lipstick. He wiped his finger clean on Tommy’s cheek, and took a look at his work.
Tommy was very pale now, a bluish tinge to the shadows on his skin. The bright pop of color painted on his lips made his lips look plump and swollen. He’d left a little smudge of rouge on the apple of his cheek.
Tommy was struggling to stay awake, his eyes fluttering back open.
“How - how long are you going to keep me?”
Caius considered the question for a moment, cracking a crooked grin.
“Why would I let you go?”
Tommy stared at the bathtub faucet, slowly dripping into the water.
“I mean… what’s the plan? I’m just going to be here for - for our whole lives? I’m going to turn thirty here? Fourty-five? Are you going to come home to me when you cash out your 401k?”
Caius pressed his hand down on Tommy’s casted wrist, holding him still as he started to write his name on the cast in black marker. Tommy sucked a breath in and jolted when his wrist was touched.
“Are we gonna…grow old together? Be old men in rocking chairs on the porch? What will the neighbors think…”
Caius chuckled, drawing a heart around his initials before adding an arrow.
“Yeah, I guess we will. The neighbors can think what they want.”
Tommy grew very quiet. His face was difficult to read, no clear emotion that Caius could find. After a surprisingly long several minutes, he spoke.
“That’s… my whole life. This is my life now? Until I die?”
Caius started drawing a tiny sketch of Tommy in the bathtub on his cast.
“Sooner or later.”
Tommy winced.
“Am I going to – are you gonna kill me?”
“No,” Caius reassured him with a hand on his chest.
“-Not unless I have to.”
Tommy’s breathing was growing quicker, his ribs rising and falling under bruised skin.
“How many of – how many of…us…have you killed?
Caius pressed his lips together and made a disapproving noise.
“You’re only our second. But, yes, the last guy didn’t make it.”
A small worried look passed his face, but then he took a deep breath and relaxed.
“What happened?”
Caius offered another piece of chocolate to his lips. When he didn’t open immediately, Caius chided him, until he hesitantly accepted it. Caius popped himself another piece, taking his time to enjoy it before considering answering.
“We went to this church in the hills. There was this hot-shot cardinal who wanted a private lesson on crucifixion.”
Caius flicked the metal peg below the bathtub faucet and the water began to drain out with a gurgle. He turned the hot tap on, letting it pour in even as the water started to chug down the drain. He gently wiped Tommy’s face with the washcloth, eyeing the pink that had already returned to his cheeks, before dropping it crumpled on his chest.
“He paid extra so he could really take his time. Once he nailed him up there, the last you was trapped for hours. I was… I didn’t know enough about it until it was too late. I thought they’d eventually die up there by dehydration, or exposure, so a day of it sounded mostly harmless.”
“Mostly harmless,” Tommy echoed back hollowly. He stared into space, off into the distance far beyond the walls of this room. He was still in a stupor from his sickness, Caius could tell because he wasn’t panicking.
He gently petted Tommy’s hair away from his face and started to comb through it, stroking each strand before winding the curls back in around his fingers. He had refused to cut Tommy’s hair since they brought him back to the house, and it was starting to get long.
“He said he was dying. I didn’t believe him, he’d said it before. When he went quiet we just thought it was shock. The cardinal had this fucking bull whip, and he was unbelievably accurate with it.”
He pushed the drain back in. Tommy had drawn up his knees to try to avoid the scalding water, and he was blushed red where the hot water cupped his body.
“That’s why you must only call for me if you are dying. I have to trust you to tell me. But if you always say that you cannot take it, then I won’t know to listen to you when I need to.”
He cupped Tommy’s face and guided him to meet his eyes. Tommy had a hard time focusing, but once he did, Caius gave him a firm nod and released him.
“The thing about crucifixion, it’s a sneaky killer. I read about it later, at the time I didn’t know what had happened. Something about your arms being pinned above your head causing the lungs to slowly fill with liquid. He had just had pneumonia, I thought he was healed enough. I think that’s why it happened so fast. He drowned inside of his body. He was fine, and then he was quiet, and then he was just gone. He was already starting to cool when we took him down.”
Tommy was staring at the ceiling. Caius could see the realization slowly, slowly dawning in his eyes.
“It’s okay, I’ll take care of you.”
Tommy’s eyes unfocused again, the hot bath fanning his fever. It eased him back into a docile mood, and when Caius put a hand to his cheek, he nuzzled into it. His face felt warm, but the meds would kick in soon, no brain boiling tonight.
He let the water drain out and left Tommy in the emptying tub. He didn’t lock the door behind him before heading to the kitchen, thinking about his favorite recipe for chicken noodle soup.

Jazz's "Apology Tour" ramble
Episode was trash, let's go.
First off, the whole "Fuck Blitzo" party is so stupid to me, like you're telling me this 30-something year old man had intimate relationships with ALL these demons and HE was the sole thing that ruined ALL of them?
And how did Verosika even find out about Stolas? Like I know Ozzie's happened, but how'd she hear about their "breakup" (they weren't together but whatever, show)?
Why the FUCK does Verosika care about Stolas being an uwu sad victim of mean old Blitzo aside from everyone being written to want to huff Stolas' sad boi farts?
Why is no one trying to kill Stolas like in Loo Loo Land, like suddenly we're just cool with the oppressive racist now (who am I kidding, the rank system doesn't exist anymore unless the "meanie supremacist" characters bring it up I guess)?
Don't think I'm trying to be "Blitzo's#1Bitch69" or anything, but Season 2 is just so gross in how they've written him. Either he's the big bully meanie for hating his abuser, or they've had him commit the most out of pocket atrocities (like possibly SAing Stolas since he was technically drunk or the circus incident or the shit he pulled with Verosika because what the fuck kinda trauma makes you steal someone credit card for horse riding lessons???) that they just gloss over because fuck having Blitzo actually progress normally or Stolas taking actual responsibility for his own actions, let's just speed through everything so it's back to Stolitz City, don't think about the implications. I just can't stand itttt, I still like and pity Blitz to an extent but his writing is killing meeee
Stolas, stop whimpering about being wanted YOU HAVE A KID WHO HAS STILL NOT APPEARED SINCE SEEING STARS WHERE IS SHE?
Am I really hearing that people are hating the dude flirting with Stolas like come on yall STOLITZ IS NOT OFFICIAL YET CHILL
I've honestly started skipping through episodes, like I can't fucking listen to "WAHHHHH BLITZO I WANT YOU TO WANT ME" for the millionth time, I wish this episode could've just been Blitzo and Verosika facing their issues or something I just don't wanna see this owl loser act like a victim anymoreeee
Man really said "when have I ever been condescending?" SEASON ONE???? How about every time you grab his face and call him out of his name and watch him be shot at while demanding he come over one a month? Oh, but when Blitz starts doing it back it's "Oh I'm uncomfortable ooOoOoo stop it Blitz hnnghhh I don't like it :C :C :C", like whatever man.
The Striker comment was dumb and wrong but that's because Stolas is dumb and wrong
Honestly I feel like I'm repeating the same points I and others have made in the past so all imma say is, I hope Octavia and Stella are enjoying their off-screen and better written adventures together. I'm gonna draw some AU stuff now to give my eyes something better to look at.
OH I forgot to talk about Verosika, uh, she was there? I honestly think she should just get over herself at this point, idk when she and Blitz broke up but what the fuck is it about this clown that she was so enamored over where she's this hurt? I can get being mad about her credit card and Blitz being a lazy partner but if that's the case, I fail to see how they got to a point where she got his name tatted on her arm. Idk it's weird
The Mayweather shit or whatever her name is was pointless and made no sense, like "I want you to kill this woman who made me attempt to kill her and myself but now we're dating" like? Hey Vivzie if yall can callback to that why can't yall call back to Stolas being a creep huh?
EDIT: They really made that fuckass "it's hell" excuse canon, huh? Like, it doesn't even make sense in the context of Blitz saying that, like people say "it's hell" because Biblically speaking, it's where those who truly oppose God in order to live a life of wickedness go as just punishment. Blitz the equivalent of a regular guy in Hell unlike the Hazbin characters, he shouldn't understand that there's a better alternative to Hell because he's not human and never had any opportunity to learn about Heaven or God (unless it's just in their DNA or something idk who knows with this show)

It's been said before, it will be said again, but it's still worth saying: the fact that art centering on straight romance is allowed to just be bad, but art with queer romance in it always has to be indicative of A Serious Problem With the Way We Tell Queer Stories makes being a queer person making queer art deeply stressful

I know this is just a silly bad quality random screencap of a screencap that I found on facebook lol, BUT it's a succinct enough image to easily describe the concept in a quick/accessible way hopefully :
Tumblr media
-
(and of course, feel free to elaborate in tags, etc.! (especially elaborating about other senses as well.. can you "hear" in your mind just as well as you can "see"? taste? etc.) It's an interesting topic to me, as someone who's like a 4.5 at MOST lol. I'm curious what option will be the most common :0c )
#tumblr polls#hrmm... a little poll perhaps.. about a subject I find interesting.. since this image came across my facebook today#still really not feeling that well. no longer shaking violently and such but I still feel weird and weak much more than usual#They did say my markers for like infection or inflammation were elevated but that they werent sure of the cause so hopefully#it's nothing too serious. they did also say a lot of different things can cause that thing to be higher than normal but didn't go into spec#fics of what. maybe some of them are relatively benign or something. I still havent felt much back to normal since#I got really sick that one time though. I feel fine on and off but then little bouts of feeling weird and sick happen. hrmmm#ANYWAY.. looking for small ways to be productive. such as little doodles on evil ipad or editing game videos#or posting polls or cat pictures or some other like not very labor intensive things#I WISH I COULD FOCUS on writing HHRGGhh... I need to finish my game.. it would be so freeing.. a project that's been looming#over my head for like 5 years even though througouht that 5yrs I've probably spent a total of 3 months working on it lo.. ANYWAY#I still partially really cannot beleive that people CAN see stuff in their heads. There's always part of me that's thinking like. well mayb#e everyone DOES see the same exact thing but we just describe/conceptualize it so differently that we think we're talking about#different things when we're really not. But I have been assured by people I've talked to about it that they can GENUINELY really see#stuff in their heads like as vivid as an actual picture in real life or something. And the other senses are neat too. Like for exmaple I#can hear in my head much better than I can see imagery. I still CANNOT hear vividly like as if I were listening to actual music out loud..#but I think it's developed more than my sight. AND interesting how this varies the creative process. a friend I was talking to on the phone#said they write by literally just watching stuff play before them like a movie. where my process is COMPLETELY different. AND that affects#the content/what details we focus on as well as our individual styles of writing have differences that can be traced back to that.. hrmm

i’ve seen a lot of people wondering what they “should do” in terms of stuff like fanfiction/fanart and their enjoyment of dsmp, and you have gotta take a step back man. we are on like day 3 of learning that wilbur soot’s a piece of shit and most decisions you make/thoughts you have are going to be heavily based on emotional responses, which is very fair, but most of these decisions do not need to be made right now. most of these thoughts are just going to send you spiraling.
it feels like the end of the world, it feels like everything you love is ruined, but at the end of the day a shitty guy made something you love and now you still have that love. this has unfortunately been happening since the beginning of time. i remember when the dream situation happened, i thought i would never be able to write about dsmp again, especially not about his character. i got through a lot of that time period by writing a fic where cdrm was not involved whatsoever which helped me not spiral from thinking about the character to the guy. two months afterward, i drafted up an idea for a story where cdrm was the main character and have not looked back.
shit like this takes time and you don’t need to make every single decision in every single aspect of your life that this guy touched right this second. you’re stressing yourself out about things that ultimately don’t really matter right now. focus on yourself, your safety and comfort, and if you can, sharing what shelby talked about in her stream in the hopes of helping out other people who were/are abused and what those signs can be. everything is new and shitty, give yourself time to breathe.
