hi, lovely, i hope you're doing well and taking care of yourself. so, i was reading through your aria montgomery post and something caught my attention. specifically the section about your "tools" and i noticed you mentioned deep burgundy highlighters. since burgundy is one of my favorite colors, i was wondering if you possibly had any recommendations? if not, that is perfectly okay and i'll keep searching on my own. anyway, i really enjoyed the post and hopefully you might post another aria post (if you ever feel like it) as she is my favorite liar🤍

omg thank you so much for your sweet message about my aria montgomery post! i'm so happy you enjoyed it and that you noticed the burgundy highlighter mention.

for burgundy highlighters, i have a few absolute favorites that give me those perfect deep aria vibes:

• tombow dual brush pen in "wine" (992) - literally the perfect deep burgundy that doesn't bleed through pages

• zebra mildliner in "wine" - a bit more muted but so gorgeous for subtle highlighting

• stabilo boss original in "cherry red" - slightly brighter but can be perfect when you use it lightly

• muji gel ink pen in "burgundy" - for when you want fine line highlighting or notes

• pilot frixion light in "wine red" - erasable and perfect for tentative notes

i actually use the tombow one the most when i'm doing my aria-inspired study sessions! they just give that perfect moody academic vibe that matches her character so well.

and yes!! i'm definitely planning another aria post soon focusing on her literary influences + how to incorporate them into your own aesthetic. she's such an underrated liar and deserves all the love.

Monthly Ranking Full Listings

In honour of March being the 10 Year Fiction Witch Anniversary! I decided that as I had all the information for the character view rankings, I would put together the full, complete character ranking by total views. I did my best to get everyone in. I am pretty confident I missed a couple. I think I missed Harry Beltik and Gregory Cromwell, but I did my best. Plus, of course, characters like Kemen, who have yet to have their fics released, are not included cause they have no views yet. This is done of the total view numbers on the Wattpad books (Just cause they are the easiest to track vs. Tumblr or Archive), This is my current Wattpad, so the numbers aren't accounting the old shut down accounts cause, of course, I do not have access to such information. But I did my best. It is amazingly interesting to me to see who is where in this ranking. The HOTD characters have all done so well, even though I've been writing them for a short time. And, of course, the newest characters are mostly near the bottom. But... you know, when Oliver and Tyler have one fic each vs Benny's 200... it kinda makes sense why they are so separated. I would love for you guys to comment the number of your fave character on the ranking! If you have the time!

how to have a writer aesthetic

Tea or coffee stains will happen without asking permission, just give it time. Broken pencils, disorganized notebooks, vascular pieces of deceased extraterrestrial lifeforms, and vials filled with the blood of your enemies are great as far as mere essentials go. I might also add the suggestion of a corkboard of apologetic letters to murdered characters justifying their deaths.
