Fanfic idea  - Red string of fate au

Prompt: Dazai does not want to share

Actual idea- 

So I love red string of fate au's, they are always fun and whimsical but also so ripe for tragedy. 

And lately I had the thought of my own version of the au. 

Essentially in this au everyone has someone they are connected to through their red string of fate. 

The relationship can be platonic or romantic it just depends on how the two individuals react to each other. 

The catch is that Dazai is the only one who can see these string’s because of his ability “No Longer Human”. 

Dazai has seen enough red strings in his life time to understand the rules of the string and that once a string is cut a new string can never take its place. 

His original soulmate was Odasaku (who was his platonic soulmate). 

So as you can imagine once Dazai’s red string shriveled up and died so did his hopes for his future happiness. 

(Cause ya know its Dazai) 

Cue several years later and he meets Atsushi. 

Everything goes the same way in cannon except for one thing in this au. 

Atsushi already has a red string and it’s connected to someone somewhere in the world. 

But Dazai watches in fascination as a new string emerges from his own hand and attaches onto Atsushi’s other hand. 

For a few seconds he’s mentally freaking out since this goes against everything he’s ever observed! How the hell did he attach himself onto this random homeless orphan?!

He’s surprised, confused, but most of all (after processing this new information) delighted! Cause he’s got another chance at happiness! 

So of course he tries his best to make sure Atsushi and his relationship is great. 

He doesn’t want to replace Odasaku so platonic soulmate is a no go. 

But that is not a problem because Atsushi is cute, funny, entertaining, and he loves how Atsushi doesn’t take his shit but always surprises him with his sincerity and unshakable faith in him.

So yea Dazai is extremely happy with his new soulmate. 

Which makes Dazai question who is Atsushi’s original soulmate!?

In my head there can only be two options for Atsushi’s original soul mate.

The option that makes sense:

Akutagawa- cause you know this makes sense in cannon. Like Dazai see’s how Atsushi’s red string connects to him and is right off the bat trying to nip any romantic feelings in the bud. So Dazai tries to set up their rivalry so they can develop a more platonic relationship. 

Just ya know Dazai is purposely manipulating the situation in his favor cause like hell is he gonna share Atsushi with Akutagawa in any romantic sense. 

Then there is the second option and personally the one I love most because it’s hilarious. 

Chuuya- I imagine that at some point Dazai tries to follow Atsushi’s original string of fate and is horrified to find Chuuya at the end of it.

Because you know in his own head it makes sense that fate would F him over like that to give him Atsushi but have Atsushi be somehow connected to the guy he hates most in the world. 

XD 

For a moment I can imagine Dazai losing his composure and just gagging when he see’s Chuuya at the end of the Atsushi’s string and Chuuya wondering WTF is going on with Dazai. 

So of course going forward Dazai tries his absolute best to prevent Chuuya and Atsushi from meeting each other. 

Cause he doesn’t want to share with Chuuya in any capacity.

Dazai already lost one soulmate and he is a selfish bastard, so he is perfectly fine with stealing Atsushi away from the slug.

Except there is one problem. Dazai has a habit of glaring at both Atsushi and Chuuya’s hands where their string connects. 

Atsushi is confused and asks Dazai about it, but Dazai just plays it off before flirting with him. 

(Usually by kissing the hand where his string is attached to Atsushi)

But Chuuya, Chuuya fucking clocks it because he knows Dazai and  his abilities. 

He knows that Dazai can see people’s red strings cause he’s used it in the mafia, hell he told Chuuya outright that he has his own string which is proof enough for the demon prodigy that Chuuya is human.

it does get annoying if they keep saying postal 4 is ass because the game is still in development and while i admit postal 4's storyline is shit i dont think it deserves to be treated like it. the devs work so hard to make more games in the franchise and saying this as someone who has previously worked on a game final year project i understand how fucking tedious it is. im not a bootlicker or anything i just wishhhhhh people appreciate the devs' dedication to bring us more postal stuff yknow.

about the hatred game i dunno i never played it, but cmon, its still coming from those who have worked tirelessly for the game. sure its all up to each n everyone's taste if they like it or not but at least it was inspired from postal 1997 n they put their heart into making it. not every game is 100% unique n original. they have inspirations.

You haven't really interacted with to many people yet besides asking for a few directions here and there from a few teachers or students.

You just barly made it to your history class (is that the class they were in i dont remember 😭) just before the bell and sat down in the only empty seat left in class, which just happend to be next to a loud blond boy that never seems to stop smiling from the handful of times you've seen him in the halls or your other classes

You haven't had much of a chance to talk to him or anyone really since your still learning English so you mostly kept to yourself since you arrived

The boys grin seemed to widen when you walked over to the empty desk and just as you sat down he was suddenly right up next to you making you jump slightly, you were just about to say somthing but he beats you to it still grinning like a phyco

"Hi! I'm aiden! I've never seen you before, you new?"

You nod slightly still shocked from his sudden closeness before speaking

He seemed to notice your accent very quickly and his eyes seemed to light up with excitement

Just watched the Sonic 3 movie and here are my 17 cents

Alrighty, to start, I wanna say that I loved the movie. The fight scenes were awesome and I could DEF tell that Jim Carrey had fun in his role xD

However, I will say that there were several moments that made me audibly cringe. There was many a cringe

I don't understand how Sonic is able to breathe in space. Even when he has his power taken away from him, he is still perfectly capable of breathing and having a whole heart to heart with Shadow on the moon. I could chalk it up to it being that Mobians can breathe in space, but Tails can't breathe in space. He had to hold his breathe and passed out from the lack of oxygen. Also the fact that Sonic has nearly drowned before, but has no problem breathing in space really bothers me

The vibe between Gerald and Ivo was... almost sexual?? In a way??? There were a couple scenes where I thought they might kiss. It was really weird, some of the moments they had

Also I feel really bad for Stone. All he wanted was to be gay and he never got to

The end credit scene. Twas cool. However, I was expecting Rouge. I'm hoping Rouge is in the next one.

Another thing: Amy's design. THEY FUCKED IT UP. Metal Sonic looks awesome but THEY FUCKED UP HER DESIGN. Idk wtf is up with her little fur spike things on the front of her head, but it just reminds me of Asta from Black Clover. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited she's in, but I hope they tweak her design

Also they just cut off a chunk of the moon and they're gonna act like there's no consequences???

I'm gonna pretend Shadow learned how to skate because of Maria cuz it's FUCKIN ADORABLE.

Also THEY DID THE THING THEY DID THE THING THEY DID THE THING! In the beginning, team Sonic did the stack thing from Sonic heroes

Another thing I wanna point out: When Super Sonic was fighting Shadow, plain Shadow was able to literally punch the Super out of Super Sonic, but Super Sonic wasn't able to punch the Super out of Super Shadow. Didn't get that :/ If plain Shadow can do it, why tf can't Super Sonic???

Both Gerald and Ivo breaking the fourth wall was hilarious xDD

Ima be honest, I was kinda disappointed with Keanu Reeves' voice acting for Shadow. Every time Keanu spoke, it sounded like he was using his head voice, which made all his speaking lines sound kinda low effort and forced

I REALLY hope we get Super Tails soon, cuz I wanna see the little cape. Also he'd be unstoppable and I wanna see how the movie will handle that

But yea, overall, twas very nice. Some inconsistencies and inaccuracies, but if you're not a die hard fan, you won't even notice. Even with the flaws, I still really enjoyed it. I've always been a big Shadow fan, so it was really nice seeing him in action on the big screen

the words im translating as "throbbing story" was originally "binbin monogatari" in jp. this is a very specific reference to the name of a long running tv series called the "binbin series". the most popular show in the series was called "teacher binbin monogatari". ive never watched any of these, but my understanding is that the shows/dramas themselves were very touching and heart throbbing, hence the name.

HOWEVER, YOU SEE, if someone were to hear the title and not know anything about the series, they might go "wtf", because "binbin" is also like saying, "muh dick is hard". (maybe teddie should be saying, "my nose is hard".)

so teddie's character is a toddler shadow that looks like a retro-future kewpie doll cartoon bear, is voiced by japanese bugs bunny, references the jp version of bugs's "whats up doc?" line, is nicknamed after a perverted bear character from manga/anime, and has lines like "i'm going to [word for girls hitting on guys] the girls" and "my nose is hard". lol.

(btw, this reference was confirmed to be a reference in hashino's pclub p4 interview. hashino also mentions he tried to make the jokes seem really old school, so it's possible he wrote this himself?)
