Some stuff about Usagi in my AU! (Feel free to ask me more, this is just kinda random stuff from my notes)

Mastapost

- His home dimension is the Prison Dimension (see this post for more info)

- His parents died shortly after he was born, and he lived with his Aunt until he was around 10?? (Side note, it really bugged me his aunt never got named, so she’s called Rin now :D)

- After Rin died, he was trained by Mifune

- When the Krang left, he and his friends (Mariko and Kenichi) started to hatch a plan to escape because they figured the Krang would open a larger portal for the Technodrome

- When they inevitably did, the three started running to escape, but Kenichi got injured and in the end, Usagi was the only one who got through.

- He got a very quick introduction to gravity, and an even quicker one to dislocating his shoulder

- He went through right as Donnie was piloting the Krang ship back through and made the spur of the moment decision to jump to a nearby car

- That car was Shinigami’s. Yes Shini is in this AU. (you can’t stop me! I NEED MY WITCH CHARACTERS!)

- He briefly stays with Shini, but Faustian bargains his way into the battle nexus under the alias White Rabbit (nice going dumbass)

- He gets rescued by Shini, who recruited Gentry and (accidentally) Sunita to help

- He now works at Hueso’s with Sunita and lives in witch town with Gentry!

- Leosagi EVENTUALLY becomes a thing, but I’ve recently realised how much I like writing slow burn so… sorry?

- He gets a cloaking brooch from Gentry after they become friends (still need to draw that design lol)

- He sleeps with plushies (but only two) - one is from Leo and the other is from Sunita

- The one from Sunita is a giant one of himself she got him as a joke (battle nexus merch wahoo)

- He’s really caring and a little naive, but if you betray him, he. Will. Hate. You.

- Desperately needs a hug but doesn't know it and refuses to ask for one

- Doesn’t usually feel strong emotions, but when he does, he FEELS.

- Gets teleportation sickness, much to Leo’s dismay

- He doesn’t have any innate mystic ability, as he’s neither a Yokai, mutant or witch, and Mariko drained the kast of his mana while they were trying to heal Kenichi.

- Has chronic nightmares

- Gets a motorbike liscense at some point

- ADORES Gentry’s chickens (she has chickens by the way)

- Really likes Frozen and knows the lyrics to Let It Go by heart

- This kind of led him down the pipeline of musicals - bonds with Donnie over this

- Can’t make the voices go away

- Has really bad road rage after he gets his motorbike liscense

- Crashed a lawn mower into Gentry’s fence, making them have to keep the chickens down the side of the house

- Can walk in massive high heels

- So smart, but so, so dumb

- Is still learning to say no

- Roommates with Gentry - couch surfed between the hidden city and Shinigami

- Sometimes goes into musical mode and hums under his breath or sings in the shower

- Associates ninjas with the monsters created by the Krang - that’s what the people at the labour camp called the transformed people.

- Remember the plushies? The one from Leo is a stuffed bear that he won Usagi at a carnival in the hidden city.

- Leo made him chose a surname and he literally just googled “famous samurai” so now he’s Usagi Miyomoto (his first choice was Usagi Hamato but Leo interpreted that as a proposal and freaked a little)

- He fiddles with Leo’s mask a lot because it reminds him of Rin’s bandanna

- Only realised how touch starved he was after he started dating Leo

- Fell in love with 80s music and media after Leo introduced him to it (not as big a fan of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu, but still watches them)

- Mikey said that if Usagi didn’t “treat Leo right,” he’d beat the shit out of him and use his rabbit pelt as a floor mat, so Usagi’s a little scared of him

- Leo calls Usagi ‘Yuichi’ (which means kind one)

I posted too soon.... I will say that hearing VAs you recognise enjoy is pretty awesome

1. Shrangi-la frontier

This is really funny. It took me ages to start watching it, but there's something charming about these virtual reality gamers who play things their own way. This one is actiony and funny!

2. My daughter left the nest and returned an s-rank adventurer

I love this! It started because belgrieve's VA is Junichi Sawara (Aomine) but this is a seriously nice show! Lots offamily love, still waiting for Bel to Show Them All... but I look forward to this one each week!

3. S2 Ancient Magus Bride

S1 is... slow. It's got a lot of interesting stuff, but it's def slow. Season 2? A great opening song AND its pretty action packed. It's set at uni which is cool - so many are not! And it's a delightful spiderweb of plots.

4. Campfire cooking in another world with my absurd school is yes, another isekai, but it's about cooking and a dude with his overpowered familiars. It helps that daichi's VA voices Fel, but it's slice of life with a teensy bit of drama and lots of humour.

5. Yuri on ice

I love this show. I know it's really popular but it's so nice having a bl where they are just in love? There's no angst (about that at least), and i love the opening song.

6. Heaven officials blessing s1, its donghua rather than anime, and the version on crunchy roll has the chinese VAs.

The opening song is STUNNING. Absolutely stunning

It's full of gorgeous art, and it's a gentle live story. I asked a feiend for recs and they said this one is not angst filled... and there is something gorgeous about it. It's got a really gentle feel to it and I'm still lookimg for more not to angsty stuff xD theres also so much fanart....

7. Tsukimitchi moonlit fantasy

Another Isekai! Boy is called in by a goddess who decides he is too ugly and dumps him. I know... it doesn't sound like much, but I love an underdog and this one finished in a place where I reaaaaly want a second season!

8. Snow white notes

I love stories where people get their groove back. and the group obsession with something superspecific (you'll see that again in Tsurune. And in all sports anime). In this case, the shamizan, a traditional musical instrument. I picked this up, not expecting much, and I was charmed.

9. Midnight occult civil service

Where yokai live all around tokyo, and are managed by the midnight occult covil service. But no one can talk to them. until the new guy. And we get more understanding, but its not all smooth sailing... I like this sort of thing. To me the last 2 or 3 eps arent part of the main story and they didn't leave me feeling good, so even though the idea of them is great, I say end on a happier note.

10. Case study of Vanitas

I know this is well known... but it's one I overlooked for a long time. Sometimes you need a good vampire story. i think it was in this that i realised tobio's VA is in EVERYTHING

I have some anime recommendations.

I have STRUGGLED this year to find things to watch. I don't particularly like romance - it saps the storyline - and I like action/comedy. It's why I've always had a taste for sports anime.

So... this is just a starting point for the lost souls who are just after something, and don't know where to start. This is in no particular order, although prob related to how recently I watched it...

1. The Apothecary Diary

Set in a land in the far east, Maomao is sold to the back palace. From there she solves mysteries.

This is honestly such a great show! Intrigue, engaging characters, and you could absolutely read Maomao as aroace. This was a stand out.

I also love the opening song. Very Shakira-esque.

2. Another stand out was Death Mount, Death Play

I'm not a fan of super violence, so I almost didn't make it past ep 1... but I ADORED this show. The main character is amazing, the shark in the credits is so cute, the story is many faceted, and I seriously adored it! highly reccomend.

3. I wasn't expecting to enjoy God of High School.

Now, it absolutely does feel like it needs a second season, but it ended in a way that felt okay too... it is based on aKorean wrbcomic, but has japanes va's. It's an over powered fighting anime, with mystery powers and a very likable main character. It's got super baddies to hate, and it does edge into too violent for my taste, but still sat down and watched my way through it xD

4. Ah... my beloved sports anime. I'm gonna add Haikyuu! And Kuroko no Basket here. I mean... both are fandoms I write for xD

Haikyuu!! Is great as there are no real bad guys, and lots of growth all round.

Kuroko is basically magical high school boys who play high school basketball, but same thing: lots of character growth, lots of friendship.

One thing I love is how the boys cry? I mean that in a they are disappointed when they lose and aren't told to suck it up. I always appreciate that!

5. It's been hard to avoid isekai animes, and some of them are less than engaging, it is true. But some? Some are delightful!

5a So, I got reincarnated as a slime is one of my faves.

It's just... nice? Satisfying? It doesn't reaaaaally push any boundaries (although I love almost everything about the final arc). There's so many loveable characters, and it's alot of fun. It helps I've always loved slimes, so this overpowered one isno exception.

5b why Raeliana ended up at the dukes mansion is, yes a romance.

But its also fun. Our protagonist is reincarnated into a gane, as a character that they know will die. And they don't want to die! And so... this isthat story.

5c. This lead me down the reincarnated in a game pathway, and I came across My next life as a villainess: all roads lead to doom

You know those really dumb lovable characters? Well, I love Catarina. She is charming with a harem comorised if almost everyone she grew up with, and there's just something so delightful! I laughed outloud as much as i groaned at this one!

Older ones I reccomend:

Natsume's Book of friends

Slice of life about a boy who can see spirits. Definitely leans towards melancholy, but really leans into found family

2. Black Clover

Look. Get past Asta screaming in the first 20 eps and you've got some enjoyable action. The characterisation is

To piggy back on the Leo fluffy headcanons. Can we get some Leo with the Rise gang too?

*Le Gasp* But of course my dear-!!! Fluffy headcanons of 12 Leo with the Rise gang let's go-!!!!!

12 Leo will do little things to encourage Rise Leo and help him feel like he's worthy of something. 12 Leo being the mom he is dotes on his younger counterpart, making sure to give him praises and reassurances that 12 Leo loves Rise Leo just the way he is and that the reason why he's friends with the red eared slider is because of the younger turtle's personality. They'll often times watch movies together as well.

12 Leo is always looking forward to seeing Rise Donnie's newest creations and is often times in awe of his inventions much like how he is with 12 Donnie's. Rise Donnie literally soaks up the praise and validation that he receives from the older turtle. 12 Leo has also dubbed Rise Donnie as Dee and they'll often be referred to as the Lee and Dee duo. Rise Donnie also likes to show 12 Leo new types of music and have him listen to them with him.

12 Leo will often times spoil Rise Mikey and indulge him in his need for hugs and affection. 12 Leo is all too happy to give the box turtle these things. And when Rise Mikey's baking or cooking something he'll always have 12 Leo be his first taste tester. Rise Mikey will also make 12 Leo little doodles and give them to him much like a kid does with their parents. (He hangs them up on the fridge next to 12 Mikey's drawings).

12 Leo even though he gets embarrassed will often times be randomly picked up and carried around by Rise Raph, especially when he's looking tired or dead on his feet. Rise Raph does this mainly on autopilot from doing this to his own little brothers. Rise Raph will also let 12 Leo sit on the back of his shell whenever he needs to take a quick rest due to his knee.

12 Leo and Rise April like to play video games together. Rise April is more than happy to show 12 Leo the newest games and play with him. 12 Leo enjoys these moments and is always bound to have a blast with her. Rise April will also rub 12 Leo's shell whenever he's stressed making him turn into a puddle of relaxation. She's the only one to figure it out, out of the Rise group and guards this little secret viciously.

12 Leo and Rise Cassandra will train together. Rise Cassandra is always constantly wanting to learn new ways to fight and 12 Leo who had taught his own group as well the Rise boys his techniques made the foot recruit determined to learn those moves as well. 12 Leo enjoys teaching her and is impressed by her fiery desire for learning the art of fighting.

Rise Draxum and 12 Leo will surprisingly just sit together quietly and talk about things while exchanging questions. Rise Draxum will take down notes of 12 Leo's past injuries and do a bit of research in the ways of yokai medicine to at least attempt at making the blue turtle more comfortable. (Though if questioned he will deny it).

12 Leo and Rise Splinter do exercises for injuries such as his knee and Rise Splinter's back that's always giving him trouble. Rise Splinter will always have tips and tricks for 12 Leo's injury and how to make it easier to bare. 12 Leo uses these techniques quite a lot.

And surprise addition-!!!

12 Leo and Rise Casey Jr will have moments where they just talk about things that are bothering them. 12 Leo is easy to talk to and with his quiet and kind aura and gentle mothering ways, it helps Rise Casey Jr feel more at ease with everything. In some ways the quiet older turtle reminds him of his Sensei from his time, what with his wisdom and endless patience. Before Rise Casey Jr realizes it he'll end up talking about something rather traumatic and 12 Leo is always willing to quietly listen and offer silent comfort.

Hi! A little request or brainrot here! I love everything that is considered paranormal idk why, the fact that maybe science can't have an answer to everything is just fascinating to me.

What about more of tfp autobots having strange encounters with paranormal stuff, like wendigos, fairies, fauns, mermaids. Good creatures like fairies that try to guide them and help them from affar, bad evil ones that try to cause harm

Random scenarios where idk they're looking for something in specific in the forest, but they fell like they're being watched everytime they're in that forest, and they can't find what they're looking for or any traces of it, so when they come back the kids tells them that many forests have "owners" or creatures that protects them, so they have to make an offering, and ask for permission to enter, after that they didn't had a problem to find this object or mine etc.

In other forest they are just taking a walk at night when they see many people dancing around a bonfire, but these people was strange, they had horns, tail and goat like legs, there was music flute and tambourine,  in one blink of their optics, everything was gone, like the bonfire was never there, just silence, probably fauns.

More creepy encounters, hearing the voices of the kids calling them from a distance, they try to follow them but after a while they noticed they've been gone for hours and they're way too deep in the forest, then they realize the kids stayed in the base. The conclusion, a wendigo tried to get them lost.

Remember when arcee and optimus went to the artic I think and almost die? They had to go back for a different reason, but from a distance they saw something looking at them from affar, it looked like it was a human, but this creature was in the water and it was as big as them or even more, just its torso and head out, because of the blizzard, they didn't see its features, it was like it didn't had eyes, nose, hair or a mouth, eventually it went back to the water, they made a note to stay away from the water, arcee made some research and surprise apparently it was a ningen.

Maybe other more "paranormal" stuff like haunted places where many tragic events had place, like abandoned villages that were scenarios of witch hunts and many innocents were executed. Hearing people, mainly women asking for mercy, or screaming they're innocent. But these villages were abandoned many decades ago.

Ratchet was very skeptical about many things, but after being in contact with this, he became more open and actually a little scared of whats outside his understanding

I feel this, anon. I'm actually looking to explore more of these concepts in my works on AO3. The supernatural, paranormal, and mythos and legends. What if those were real, or held some truths?

I'm really digging the thought that such beings were also interested in the Cybertronian artifacts. It would be such an interesting play with "Unicron-is-Earth" subplot, especially since it could be argued that the Fair folk, yokai, demonic entities, and so on are more in-tuned with the Unmaker, so it also raises the question of humanity's role among such beings as well.

I mean, the ghost stories and undead superstitions? The widespread tales of animal brides/grooms? The strange feeling in liminal spaces?

There's a lot to work with here.

Speaking about YW AU’s, I also made my own story when I was 13-14 years old (so like 4-5 years ago) and its name is « Yo-Kai Watch V ».

It takes place 5 years after the main story’s events. We follow Keita, Inaho (keep in mind that they are 15-16 years old in it) and their friends in their supernatural shenanigans and with their agency. Other watchers will join their adventures, such as Hibiki Ryusei, a girl who owns a « Astra Model » Yo-Kai Watch, and our protagonists will also their own.

There is also a new mechanic I thought of, and it was the « Wish Forms », which needs a « Meteor Medal » to be added on certain Yo-Kais to ascend to this mode.

The story is structured into a prologue (which happens 2 years before YWV and counts as a YW music note rewrite), and epilogue and four main arcs between them.

YWV first arc : As the shooting stars falls

YWV first main arc : Dedtime Arc

YWV second main arc : Ghoulfather Arc

YWV final main arc : Kraken Arc

I just thought that it would be nice to see YW leaning into the Shonen-like genre and a hint of emotions within it, when Nate was still the protagonist.

And if you’re wandering, YWV isn’t a bridge to Shadowside, more like it’s own thing, filled with my self-indulgences.

This is extremely interesting to read ! This AU seems to be very thorough and complete.

I really like the fact that you aged up Keita and Inaho, it will lead to more mature themes and morals, like what it means to grow up, the new perspectives maturity can bring to their role of Watcher, and the view and opinion they have on the different antagonists they will encounter could change, as they start to better understand them.

This new character, Hibiki Ryusei, could bring a lot to the table too. Her Yokai Watch is intriguing as well, how did she obtain it ? Did Steve Jaws release this new model in continuity to the Model U ? Or maybe she inherited it from a family member or a yokai ?

How are the "Wish forms" and "Meteor Medals" working, exactly ? The concept of "Wish form" reminds me a lot of the Dream Link of Nate's Yokai Watch U and the "Dream Link" introduced in the third movie, could it be centered around the same mechanic ? "Meteor medals" are very interesting too, meteors can be associated with a lot of things in the Yokai Watch universe. One of them being the meteors falling during Enma's summoning, could there be a link between these two ? The Meteor medals could be powered by the energy of Enma, allowing yokai to transform ?

I can just imagine a gorgeous summoning and transformation similar to the Godsides in Forever Friends, but maybe I am looking too far- '^^

I also love to see every antagonists of the three games have their own arc. I am very curious about their placement in the story and how you are going to portray each of them. I am sure it is extremely well done, they have a lot of potential and all get a chance to shine !

Perhaps each antagonist will reveal a usefull lore element that will all connect at the end for the final battle, and reveal a plot-twist ? Could The Ghoulfather, McKracken and Dedtime all be working together to dominate the human world ?

I agree that a more Shonen-oriented Yokai Watch series could be very refreshing, with a more mature Nate, a new Watcher to bring some new content, and Inaho as the funny sidekick to balance the whole show. There could be a lot more variety of themes discussed in it, as well as more risks to be taken in terms of content.

But anyway, I can't say it enough, this AU is amazing ! Honestly if is was to become official, I would definitely watch it on TV everyday ! XD I just hope this long post with dozens of questions didn't annoy you too much, I apologize in advance '^^
