the polite young thing that sat quietly against her sister's back racked with the idea that she would one day call forth her sister's attention. she seemed relucent enough to ask for why her youngest lamb found herself bawing with their own little horns dipping down. she collected her sister's jewelry and slid it on her arms, and hair. memorized by the way it shined in the light. her hands raising to place against mabil's face in playful mannerisms.
" you look devious, sister! " she complimented well enough. studying what little mischief crept on her sister mabil's young face.
the youthful mabil would blush and press her hands into a small handled mirror. pressing it close to her face, " it's quite lovely, Amelinanus !! " Mabilloy mused. her noise raising in a goaty fashion. before she turned to the open bedroom door, " it appears we've been found !! we must hurry before father catches us in mother's room again ! " giggling gracefully enough.
I just saw one of your fave games is What remains of Edith Finch and I’m so happy! I feel like its a lesser known game but i loved playing through it. I’m so happy to know more than just my small friend group know about this game!
Sorry this isn’t a question. Also want to say that you’re art is amazing and the development of the designs is so interesting to see. Also the way you draw intimate scenes have so much emotion to them. I love the Aj and rarity kissing comic so much, you can just feel their love for each other ;w;
Thank you so much!
I highly, highly, highly recommend What Remains of Edith Finch to anyone interested in narrative game experiences/"walking simulators." It's one of those games that was handcrafted with nothing but love. Every room you explore is just... real. The way the light flows in and makes the colors of the living room, the kitchen, the bedrooms glow. Playing the game is like walking through your childhood home as an adult and seeing how the dust clings to everything you once touched. Also genius-level gameplay mechanics, ones that can make you completely empathetic with the character you're embodying or feel completely complacent in their tragedy. It's really not fair to call it a walking simulator because it's so much more and so much smarter than that.Everyone talks about the fish one.
The theme of death and memory and storytelling and the burden of invisible trauma and self-fulfilling prophecies is so affecting too. The ending made me cry.
ARE YOU READY FOR A VAGUELY ALPHA FLIGT ART DUMP!!!
My beautiful wife....

Anyway thanks bye... Sorry for the art dump xoxoxo
so the obvious answer is all too well. but i think the more interesting thing is what makes a song a quintessential taylor swift song? and in my head there’s two main contenders
fireflies: there’s this concept in my head that i call a “fireflies”, named after the owl city song, where basically everyone on earth privately goes through something, thinks they’re alone in it, and the down the line it’s revealed that the experience is universal. and taylor is fucking exceptional at catching fireflies— finding little hyper specific moments that are universal in their specificity. its not unique to her— it’s something all art strives for to some degree, and country music especially is built on building a scene out of small details— but man is she just. fucking good at it. the obvious example here is all too well, with him keeping her scarf, but the black dog and cornelia street are also amazing examples.
memories: its one of the most fascinating things to track in taylor’s career. there’s the obvious songs about her losing her relationships (all too well is another great example), and the songs about morning her childhood (the best day, seven, never grow up, would’ve could’ve should’ve to a lesser degree, etc), but i think the most interesting example is wildest dreams. in and of itself, it’s not a cliche in her work, but it is the end point of obsessing over building narratives out of your past: you end up seeing the present as your futures past. like. idk it’s just such a culmination of memory as a theme to beg someone who hasn’t even broken up with you to remember you fondly. it’s also what she started her career doing! just please think of me fondly when you hear my favorite song!!
there’s other mini-themes that pop up all the time— secrecy and public opinion, love as something reckless, love as knowledge of a person. and then there’s more structural stuff that’s peppered through her work— taking a common phrase and twisting it, taking the first line/early part of the song and bringing it back at the end of the song (another demonstration of memory, in a way). but in terms of what makes a taylor swift song A Taylor Swift Song, it’s fireflies and memories
Hi Sarah! I would like your thoughts on Sprite making eye contact and keeping it as he bent low to tie this mans shoe. :)
Oh, I have lots of thoughts—most of which would probably get me shadow banned if I said them out loud. But I will try to keep this professional...
First is truly the gift that keeps on giving. His face hides nothing. Sprite decides that the middle of volleyball practice is the perfect time to simulate a blow job and we get to watch First realize he is definitely not straight enough for this in three parts.
Part 1: Full Body Chills
Part 2: "No, honey, not here!"
Part 3: "Welp, this might as well happen..." (with a heaping side of "Please god don't get a boner.")
What I'm really curious about, though, is whether Sprite is doing all of this on purpose. Because I don't think he is! Like I truly don't think he realizes the power he has over First at all. He's perfectly happy to just be besties with him god bless his soul.
But honestly, my favorite part of the entire episode was the way First melted when Sprite called him his most special-est boy 🥹 I love me a man with daddy issues and a praise kink.
Wondering if Messmer was just the only one to help/sympathize with Marika on the shattering of the elden ring. His relation to snakes, fire, etc, could just be that he turned himself into a living weapon taking parts of all of the enemies of the Erd Tree he could find. Momma's boy headcanon tbh.
until the DLC is fully out and confirms otherwise, i'll stubbornly cling to the mommy's boy theory fr fr 😭😭
with Fromsoft's track record of portraying motherhood (*stare at Bloodborne*) i simply refuse to believe they made the Mom™ in Marika and won't expand on her further or won't have a kid that is just...insane over her. prayer circle for that theory to be supported in canon because i have ART to DRAW if true !
eckhart and emerleigh finally got to moonrise towers and got Extremely Necessary Evil Disguises for the infiltration. no, neither of them remember how easily they were able to infiltrate the goblin camp without said disguises.
lae'zel just doesn't appreciate good fashion sense. gods.
Just wanted to pop in and say that your art is so cool!! It's so-- SHAPES!! And I especially like how you draw McCoy, he's a favorite of mine and he has such a specific set of facial features that seems so hard to simplify, and yet you manage so well! And there's something I really love about your poses and compositions too, they're so very dynamic and/or evocative even when characters are just standing. Aaa so much to say--
I also saw your last ask, and as someone who was also intimidated by the sheer amount of content there is like you, just know that if you get invested you kinda just forget about it. I got into TNG first and that series alone looked like an enormous task to finish. Before I knew it I finished it and went on to watch DS9, and I already can't wait to see more.
In general my tip is to go with the flow and see it as a hobby rather than something to achieve, because nobody is forcing you to watch EVERYTHING there is. You get there when you'll get there, y'know! It's a show about silly space people, have fun with it! (but with all the fan art you're drawing, I'm sure you already are hehe)
ANYWAY SORRY FOR THE BARRAGE OF TEXT THIS AIN'T EVEN AN ASK BUT UHHH BUH-BYE
THANKS i just. like shapes and points and lines.. i just think they’re neat…… i really like drawing mccoy hes got such a specific posture haha i will definitely be posting. more of him lmao
im on tng s2 right now and i definitely never push myself to watch things i don’t want to watch (except angel (1999) because. i like spike) but i do take my time with watching things so itll be a good while until i’m on the next series.. it did take me uhhh years to finally finish tos but the dam really broke on that in december so. here we are
So if Husk is a trans man, and his kid Violet is from when he was alive ... was he the one who gave birth to her? And does that mean that he wasn't out as a trans man at the time? And that his partner was a man?
He was in fact the one to give birth to her yes, but no one knew he was trans; he kept it hidden and bounced from place to place before anyone could start to question him 💀 he was on his own when Violet was born (terrible idea but he didn't want to risk being outed by going to a hospital)
Omg the partner thing is interesting; they split before husk realised there was a baby in the picture, and the partner never knew. Until me and albo accidentally made a whole arc of said partner wanting to get redeemed at the hotel cause they're also in hell, and now it's a whole thing because a big part of why they split was due to transphobia from the partner but since landing in hell they've realised a lot of that was actually internalised because they are also trans and it is a wholeass arc of this au now LOL
Narinder as a dad would simultaneously be both "Kids are indestructible, they got rubber bones. Throw em off the roof for landing-on-thy-feet practice? Sure why not, theres a matress at the bottom they'll be fine, walking it off builds character, Shamura raised me and I turned out fine." and "These are my precious vunerable tiny darlings, my little meow meows, my kibby cats, and I will protect them with my entire being. The worlds cruel and unjust and if you even look at my baby shittens I will vaporize you to dust with my rage alone." And these are both true at once and can flicker on and off at any second.
