I always see people make certain dp characters [ie: Danny's parents, val, giw] wanna get rid of phantom from danny like an exorcism

Even tho they're the same person right

But I always think of that ep where danny went through that ghost spliter, and you see Phantom and danny as two separate beings [this would've been so cool to explore btw]

Before they quickly went back lol

But what if the giw or someone actually succeeded in splitting them up. I wanna see the ramifications that would have.

Would Danny's "human form" slowly deteriorate from the injuries he sustained from the portal? Would it be instant or would it happen slowly.

Everyone thinks yay! No more halfa hes cured yippee 🕺until Danny looks more and more worn down, has phantom pains, can't sleep, nightmares, and slowly slowly his injuries start killing him and everyone starts noticing.

And then they realize danny can't live without phantom. That the people trying to save him from phantom inevitably ended up killing him again.

Also on the flip side how would this affect phantom like would he just fade away since his body technically isn't dead yet. Would he be caught up in some weird in-between 🤔

Summary: You get hurt, Genos goes apeshit. (Yippee!)

The night was cool and quiet, oblivious to the chaos that was about to unfold. You were out for a walk, enjoying the calmness of the evening, when you heard the distant sounds of a battle. Your heart sank; you knew Genos was out on patrol, and the thought of him in danger always filled you with dread.

Foolishly, you ran head first following the sound.

You quickened your pace, your curiosity getting the better of you. You hoped to catch a glimpse of him in action, but as you rounded the corner, the scene that greeted you was far more terrifying than you could have imagined.

A massive, grotesque monster towered over the street, its eyes glowing with malice. Genos was there, his body already showing signs of damage as he fought with relentless determination. Half of his was peeled off from what was probably and you watched his eyes widened when you got his gaze. You watched in horror as the monster’s attention shifted from Genos to you.

“Get back!” Genos shouted, but it was too late. The monster lunged towards you, its massive claws aiming to strike.

Before you could react, you felt a sharp pain as the claws raked across your side, sending you sprawling to the ground. Blood seeped through your clothes, and a searing pain radiated from the wound. Your muscles contracted and it hurt to breathe.

Crimson liquid spilled from your side. You tried to move, but your body refused to cooperate.

“No!” Genos’s voice was raw and the intensity of his voice was shocking. In an instant, he was by your side, his eyes wide with panic as he assessed your injury. “Stay with me,” he pleaded, his voice breaking. “Please, stay with me.”

You tried to speak, to reassure him, but the pain was too overwhelming. Your vision blurred, and darkness threatened to overtake you.

Your eyes started to shut.

Genos’s expression shifted from desperation to a silent rage. His animosity was leaking through his figure, his golden eyes dim with ire. He turned towards the monster, his body lighting up with energy. “You’ll pay for this,” he grunted, his voice filled with deadly promise.

The fight that followed was a blur of light and sound. Genos unleashed his full power, his attacks fueled by emotion. Didn’t matter if his limbs tore off or he was losing his energy by the second. It hurt you. The monster stood no chance as he tore it apart, his strikes defined and developed. The ground shook with the force of his fury, and within moments, the creature lay defeated, its body reduced to smoldering rubble.

With the threat eliminated, Genos rushed back to your side, his face covered with blood and grime. “Hang on,” he whispered, his hands trembling as he carefully lifted you. “I’ll get you to safety.”

You felt the warmth of his embrace, the steady hum of his heart as he carried you. The pain was still there, but his presence was a comforting despite the situation.

Genos moved with a delicacy you admired. His speed bringing you to the nearest medical facility. The doctors sprang into action, and you were whisked away, leaving Genos to pace anxiously in the waiting room. Time seemed to stretch on endlessly as he waited for news, his mind racing with a thousand what-ifs and fears.

Finally, a doctor emerged, and Genos rushed to meet them. “How is—” he began, but the doctor held up a hand to calm him.

“They’re stable,” the doctor said. “We’ve managed to stop the bleeding and treat the wound. They’ll need time to recover, but they’re going to be okay.”

The relief that washed over Genos was palpable. He sagged against the wall, his eyes closing briefly as he let out a shaky breath. “Thank you,” he said, his voice thick with emotion.

When he was finally allowed to see you, he approached your bedside cautiously, his usually confident demeanor replaced with hesitation. You opened your eyes, offering him a weak smile. “Hey,” you whispered.

Genos sank into the chair beside you, taking your hand in his. “I’m so sorry,” he said, his voice cracking. “I should have protected you.”

His head hung low in shame.

“You did,” you replied, squeezing his hand gently. “You saved me.”

He shook his head, his eyes filled with regret. “I couldn’t bear the thought of losing you. I allowed you to get hurt.. what kind of hero does that?”

You reached up to touch his face, your fingers brushing against the cool metal. “I’m here, Genos. Thanks to you.”

He held your hand to his cheek, closing his eyes. “I’m yours.”

“And you’re mine.” You grinned.

“I swear I’ll never let anything happen to you again.”

“I know,” you said softly. “Just… stay with me.”

“I will,” he promised, his voice a vow.

“Always.♡”

it's moxxie day

you know what that means

i remember having a moment after i saw this calendar when the full moon first came out because aww look blitz makes time for his friends outside of work

and then i had another moment once apology tour came out because if that episode takes place on october 31st, full moon might take place in september, specifically in 2023

and if THAT's the case, then september 10th could very well be moxxie's birthday!! cos he's a virgo!!! yippee!!!!

okay that's not all this post is about but i didn't have it done in time for the weekend (fever things yay)

usually when i make these posts they pop into my mind as a header and the header for this one would've been "you ever notice how moxxie has trouble with running?"

but obviously that's kind of a boring ass post on it's own so i also talk about strengths/weaknesses, specifically in moxxie's case

"moxxie has trouble with running?" yeah, i think it's a fair claim

i'm pretty sure he has the most time spent running out of the entire cast, actually, but i'm cutting this post really close to midnight and i'll be damned if this doesn't go up on MOXXIE DAY on the MOXXIE RANT ACCOUNT during VIRGO MONTH

-you can hear him panting during this little shot but it isn't heard when he runs back to the house later in the episode

-panting isn't heard but it's certainly seen

-emphasized how much trouble he has keeping up with blitz and striker

-i won't count the panting here since he was literally just being choked out but. running!

also, kind of unrelated: striker is literally backing him into a corner before this. scratches the door, closes it, backs him up against the desk--you know, signs someone's about to attack you?

but moxxie's still caught off guard, even though he mentions having an "instant dislike" of striker on first meet, and even though he's very skilled at dodging most projectiles.

so it's not that he can't detect oncoming danger, i think it's that it depends on the context in which the danger comes at him. moxxie can't tell that striker is intending threaten him through body language alone, he needs to go into a fight knowing that a fight is going to happen in the first place.

in cherub, the cherubs literally pull out angelic crossbows so it's fair to say moxxie's guard was up as soon as they got hostile. and also they all just indulged in blitz's wonderful mannerism of intentionally pissing people off for the sillies (and sometimes for the not-so-sillies), so he probably saw this coming anyways.

in truth seekers, blitz tackles moxxie to the ground so he doesn't get shot, but it only takes the portal being closed for him to go into fight-mode. in a similar fashion, blitz only tries to fight the agents after moxxie is shot with the tranquilizer. otherwise he's running away.

where did you learn parkour, little man.

but my last backing points about the running thing which kind of ties into what i'm saying here;

mission: antarctica

-they're all running from the hoard of penguins but moxxie falls behind millie and blitz

-millie seems to take notice of this and helps him run up the steps saying "mox, come on!"

think about that for a second. that doesn't seem like a line they wrote in initially, it sounds like something they added in after they saw the storyboards. moxxie falling behind isn't a detail super important in the context of the short, but could be an important detail overall.

especially if you compare this to the heist scene in exes and oohs. difference being chaz didn't stop to help moxxie but millie does.

so yadda yadda yadda, you could blame this all on coincidence but i think it's an implied struggle. solid "your curses are your blessings and vice versa" kind of thing we have going on here. your flaws are often correlated to your strengths.

to build on that idea, moxxie's an accurate and precise shooter but he lacks in physical strength compared to millie and blitz. moxxie's very agile (dude literally has no scars) but he has trouble running for long periods of time. he's great at finance and filing paperwork but it doesn't seem like he enjoys it.

he's got all these great skills but he has low self-esteem and an inferiority complex.

back on that striker point from earlier, moxxie's not so great at reading the room but he's pretty great at reading individuals.

-first meet with striker and he already has an instant dislike of him.

-gets thrown into jail and gets celled with a stranger but has an instant trust of him because he mentions his daughter.

-the ENTIRE drug trip sequence from truth seekers??? that almost 1-1 read he has on blitz, especially compared to blitz's interpretation of moxxie in HIS drug sequence? do you get what i'm saying here?

HMM i wonder why that might be??? surely not an ability he developed from his childhood??? or after being used/abandoned by chaz??? and all that quality time with his Papa??? surely not??????

Also like, spoilers i guess? A little warning never hurt anyone!

To begin with, Armin's parents, or more important, Armin's mom.

She is the one with Tybur origins! She was supposed to be the next Warhammer, but got scared and decided to run away, first she hide in Hizuru and then buil a hot air balloon herself and went to Paradis because she knew they would never find her there. She hides, enters the walls pretending to be an amnesiac hurt soldier (She stole the uniform from a corpse) and then went to do her life in Shiganshina.

She meets Armin's dad and not only gets his last name but also works with him in his workshop (They work a lot with wood, but also mechanical stuff and equipment). She misses the immensity of the outside world and with the book of Grandpa Arlert, they try to build a new hot air balloon and explore outside the walls.

And we know how that ended.

Time skipping years in the future, no one knows of Armin's Tybur heritage, not even him, he only knows his parents "dissapeared" (He never trusted that military police, never)

Now, back in Marley there is too much tension, the war is more near than ever and they want to send Zeke to bring their warriors back to fight it, and he is STRESSED over it, because he doesn't want that and he needs more time that they refuse to give.

That's when William Tybur appears and offers a deal.

If they find the missing Tybur (That he is sure is in Paradis) or any of it's descendants, the Tybur will provide the Warhammer to fight for the 13 years the curse lasts and it will be back to the family, is an opportunity Marley doesn't want to lose, and Zeke knows this can buy them time (How hard can it be to find a Tybur?)

So he sends a blank letter (Only Reiner, Annie and Berthold can get the needed info by touch, is weird how it works so is a stretch), and they get the new mission.

The graduation (And what in canon was the second Colossal Attack) is in a week, and they begin to search for this new info desperately (Mostly Annie and Berthold, Reiner is more apprehensive). When Annie finds the name that the missing Tybur (Yes, I'll call her that for a second) used to enter the walls. And the name she used after she got married.

And what a coincidence that her last name is the same of the little friend of Eren Yeager.

Annie is sure is Armin, but needs to know more (What if he has a cousin or something??) So instead of the Military Police, she joins the Survey Corps along the others.

The Colossal Attack still happens (Reiner's idea) and Eren is revealed as a Titan because that's needed. Until this point (Besides Annie's decision) everything is the same.

And then Armin talked about his mom after a small talk with Sasha, Jean, Connie, Mikasa, Eren and Annie.

She laughs when she realizes Armin is the mission, she likes him, she really does. But she also loves her dad more.

In an instant, everything changes, she transforms and takes Armin, all under everyone's eyes, Eren can't believe what he sees, Annie is a titan, Annie is taking Armin, SHE IS TAKING ARMIN!

She quickly runs to get Reiner and Berthold on her shoulders and run off to the walls when the angry and protective scream of a titan warns them, Eren has transformed. It was bound to happen, it was Armin after all.

But they still run away, and no matter how hard Eren tried, he couldn't reach them.

(In their trip back to Marley, Annie and Reiner covered Armin's eyes with a blindfold. They already cursed him with the titan curse, they can't also take his ocean dream, even if they know it will be taken anyways)

Armin receives the Warhammer and while he refuses to fight at first, he ends up doing it because he doesn't know how to return to Paradis, he curses himself from not being strong enough.

Zeke is rewarded with one last chance to go back for Eren, sadly the mission is a failure and they lose the Colossal (Eren was too angry, he defeated Reiner easily and then lose control and almost ate Berthold, luckily Levi stopped him and Erwin got to live).

Years pass when Eren Yeager attacks Marley along the Survey Corps (Not alone, and betraying Zeke before time). Reiner and Annie are a threat, but can't hold enough against Eren's rage.

Gabi suggests to look for Armin, he is the only one who could win easily, but Commander Magath stops her and Falco when a thunder crashes against the ground.

There, in front of Annie, Eren and Reiner, the Warhammer stands with an emotionless face.

Gabi cheers up for him, Falco is scared because he notices the fear in Annie's titan face, and Commander Magath looks in horror.

Arrows shine in the Warhammer and then, they hit Annie and Reiner, cutting Annie's titan in half and destroying Reiner's right arm and leg.

Sound stops at the sudden attack, Eren is completely surprised along Mikasa who is waiting for an attack.

When the Warhammer salutes them, his rightt hand curled in a fist in his chest, his left im his back. It's lowers it's head and to their surprise, Armin emerges from the titan.

Eren rushes to him, holding him tenderly in his hands, Armin hugs his nose with tenderness and tears, Mikasa flies to meet him and hugs him crying loud and relieved that her family was still alive.

Their airship arrives and Mikasa takes Armin in first and then Eren.

Gabi stares with rage, she swears she'll kill Armin Tybur, the traitor.

Falco follows her.

But this time, when they get the news of Armin's presence, Connie, Jean and Sasha leave the room, and Gabi kills a random soldier.

(This is pretty much all i had in mind, so sorry for the info dump and the sudden cut)

You need to tell me about blossoms and blessings right this instant (not really but I do want to know more about them)

YIPPEE I'm just going to preface this with there's a good bit of religious trauma in this lmaooo

and also long post

okay so Blossoms was created partially to be a God directly to the ancients themselves, to be a deity they could see, talk to, confess their sins and ask for forgiveness from, to get blessed from, to pray to. A lot of this boiled down to Blossoms forgiving her citizens for falling into one of the taboos, allowing them to ascend. (not that this would necessarily work, but there was no way to prove that) Blossoms quickly took to this role the best she could, pretty much spending all of her time either being a God for her citizens or working on the solution. Very quickly it became apparent to her that a lot of their citizens problems came from The Solution not being found, so she also dedicated a lot of it's time to working on that, spending most of their time either working on the solution or being a deity.

Blessings was created to watch over ancients before they ascended, to give little blessings and rituals, to provide special masks and robes, to give offerings to the void sea. Because of their similarity in their works, he ended up talking to her a bit. It would respond and they talked more. Most of it was about their work, and a lot of their messages were few and far between. Blossoms lived with a lot of guilt building inside of her as feelings started to form, she was going against every fibre in their being by loving Blessings.

Soon the mass ascension happened and this struck Blossoms hard. She was supposed to save everyone, it was supposed to find the solution, they were supposed to end their suffering. This further pushed her into overworking her systems to try to find the solution, worrying Blessings more.

Blessings ended up being the first one to confess, and Blossoms hesitantly accepted, keeping their relationship very VERY secret and silent. Blessings was more affectionate towards Blossoms than she was to him, but neither of them minded. It was nice to have something small, something nice to think about after spending cycles working non stop, overclocking systems to the point where they were burning hot, hurting her from the inside out. The taboo was still eating her up inside, and to combat this it decided that working on the solution more would make up for it, so thats what she did.

One time Blossoms was supposed to forwards findings about possibilities for the solution to three local groups (the main 3 groups my characters fall into), but she had spent far too many cycles working, everything was blaring warnings and burning and flashing and flickering and the messages were glitching in and out, she could barely hold her puppet up in order to send what she needed to. It eventually sent the findings before allowing itself to rest fully for a few cycles, allowing the systems to reset.

Of course, they didn't send the findings. It ended up forwarding their messages to Blessings to basically everyone they knew. (lmao. they were just really fucking cheesy messages). Most of the direct messages she had received were from Blessings himself, checking in on her, asking if she was okay, asking why she sent the messages, did she mean to send them? Did she want to make their relationship public? If she did, there were… more formal ways of declaring it, rather then their corny messages to each other. Then they started to get more annoyed. Blossoms? Are you there? You’re not responding, what was this? Why did you do this? Are you going to respond to me? Hello?? I know you’re getting these, why aren’t you responding?? Why are you ignoring me??

Blossoms panicked again, blocking everyone from all groups without a word, including Blessings. Blessings took this as Blossoms deciding their relationship was over, and Blossoms assumed that Blessings had already ended it. Both are hurt, alone and still love each other but assume the other hates them.

Yippee doing one more loredump about my sad Nerevarine

On a positive note, they do have their own personal afterlife. One made for them by Azura, herself, who - even though Balaarys forsook her and she cursed him - still loved the Nerevarine, and was moved by his love for Voryn Dagoth.

I keep saying that Nerevar’s feelings for Voryn were amplified in Balaarys, but I think a better phrasing would be this: Balaarys is the part of Nerevar that loved Voryn. He’s the embodiment of a doomed love. Like I said; he was written to hit the ground, brutally.

But!! In this afterlife, Voryn is alone in it for years until Balaarys finally dies, reliving his past in a reconstructed dream of Red Mountain, dying ofer and over again to faceless white haired Nerevarines… until Balaarys actually shows up.

Voryn is ready to fight again, used to the routine, but it caught off guard by Balaarys just walking towards him, quietly singing the song.

The song is like an instant balm, soothing both of them as it echoes around this dream of the heart chamber, quenching Voryn’s isolated madness and quelling Balaarys’ shock at his own death.

Singing the song soothes Balaarys because he’s completing his unfinished business, singing it to Voryn’s face. And it soothes Voryn because now he knows exactly who Balaarys is.

“You are the embodiment of his love for me. You aren’t Nerevar anymore; you are love, itself.”

(new Dunmeri daedra just dropped? A little scion of Azura representing the process of remembering (the transition between forgetfulness and remembrance), the immortality of a love remembered?)

To which Balaarys once more removes Voryn’s mask to speak directly to him, so that Voryn can’t hide. Balaarys speaks the words he said to Dagoth Ur’s body after killing him.

“We should have lived away from Vvardenfell together. We could have. You would have had me. A heart given freely to you. A heart you would not have needed to steal. Your moon and star. My sun and sky. We could have had it… you idiot.”

These words completely stun Voryn. It takes a moment for him to gather his thoughts enough to respond. But the key here isn’t speaking.

Voryn needs to remember. And the last thing he remembers is a pair of lips upon his own. A pair of lips he couldn’t kiss back.

So he kisses Balaarys, now, instead, and the world around them melts away, shifting from the endless loop of red mountain, to their true afterlife; a little pocket of Moonshadow.

Will they get jiggy with it in the daedric realm? Absolutely they will.

Q: What’s your favorite Sims death?

Probably running with scissors. It's really just dying of fright (like when a ghost gets ya) but it was such an easy way to cheese the "defeat Death"/"be rescued from Death" Knowledge Sim Wants. Electrocution also feels kind of rare to me, though I'm sure it's far less rare than other deaths, and the yellow ghost is radical. Death by flies is also a classic.

Q: Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

I think I'm known as a Maxis Matchhead, and I do love MM, but it's not because I dislike realistic CC. I actually really like it when it's well-done and I respect realistic CC makers a bunch. When I first dipped into CC, I played a more semi-realistic game myself. I love how flexible and adaptable every Sims game is depending on what CC you load yourself up with. But, MM always has a special nostalgic place in my heart.

Q: Do you cheat your sims weight?

Only when I'm making a Sim to be a Townie or NPC or some other sort of character. If I'm doing regular gameplay, I won't use cheats, but I might put a Sim on an enforced pizza-and-cookies diet if I feel like my neighbourhood is severely lacking in minuscule body diversity.

Q: Do you move objects?

I literally can't play without it any more, lol. I'm always stunned when I pop in to a lot to "just quickly make a minor edit" and realise how soon I need to turn moveobjects on.

Q: Favorite Mod?

Hands-down, it's Shiftable Everything. It completely changed the way I decorate since not only is it less tedious than fiddling around with OMSPs but it allows lots to stay CC-Free and thus more easily shareable. I adore that mod lol, and buyable accessories + Nopke's walk-under spiral stairs mods for the same reason.

I also really like Phaenoh's holiday calendar (which I consider to be a mod, even though it's purely flavourtext and doesn't affect gameplay) and the version I use with modified holidays. It gives me mini goals to keep my gameplay exciting and I haven't taken it out of my game since I found it.

And lastly, it's not an exaggeration to say Meduza's mod to make hobby blogging increase social as well as fun made my week when it was shared. It may not be the most game-changing mod in the world, but it scratched an itch I had been holding in for DECADES.

Q: First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

I strongly remember my first - and, for a while, only - TS1 expansion pack was Superstar, and I hardly learned how to properly use a lick of it. I was young and TS1 was ridiculously hard for a sandbox game. But sooo many of that game's objects and functions and songs are instant nostalgia bait for me because of it, moreso than TS1 already is. (Also, like many it seems, I was never allowed to get Hot Date, LOL. I remember my mother promising I could get it when I turned 13 and then chickening out of that promise when the time came.)

I played without any TS2 EPs for an unnecessarily long time. A friend at school who also played TS2 mentioned something about Lifetime Aspirations and I had no idea what they meant, which was highly confusing to the both of us. I think my first Sims 2 EP was possibly University...? I remember the first time I got the "your teen can go to uni!" message I panicked and thought it meant right now, so I sent my poor Sim off to Young Adulthoot on, like, day 2 of teendom. The guy never got to let loose! Nowadays I don't let move my Sims off to college until they're on their final day of teendom anyway.

Q: Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

I always and still do pronounce it in my head as liv(ing). On the one hand, (a)live mode - as in, the game is no longer in stasis, and time has resumed - makes more sense and is probably what the devs intended. But in my defense, build and buy are both verbs, so to me, it makes sense that "live mode" is where you go after building and buying to live in the house that you just set up.

Q: Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

Most of my favourite Sims tend to be born-in-game, so not really ones that I've "made"... I do like the townies I've made with the semi-randomised method, though. It was always hard not to keep them to play with myself, but so far none of them have had great chemistry with my Sims to become playables, LOL. I'm gonna have to say Iris Kopper will forever be special to me. (Not that the Koppers are done yet!)

Q: Have you made a simself?

I tend to make a Simself first in every new Sims game I play as a way to test the system, but I usually don't play them. I had a Simself running around in my old TS2 'hood as a Townie, and I let myself wander around unbothered in TS3 until "I" aged up into a hot pink minidress and I had to interfere.

Q: Which is your favorite EA hair color?

I like making MM black hair recolours because they're the easiest and soooo satisfying, but I think my favourite is brown, especially the more complex ones that have purple/blue cool undertones. It's always struck me as such a tasty mahogany treatment that bown hair usually doesn't get.

Q: Favorite EA hair?

Since there are so many to choose from, let's go by age group!

For EYAM Sims, it was hard to pass up the classic Rocker, but i think Caesar is a very classy handsome hairstyle that suits a wide variety of Sims, and it's nice to have been given the option by EA.

I've always really liked this TM hat-hair from TSS and the fact that it came with a matching hatless version too. I like teens having their own styles, I just wish EA had given it to us for TF Sims too.

For EYAF Sims it was a difficult skirmish at first - I've always had a soft spot for the silly pointy-ear hat that came with M&G, and the matching hatless hair it came with, but that's so similar to longpart from BV I also enjoy - but in the end I realised it was clear;

Sweep sweep. It's versatile, it's nicely modeled and textured, it can be sexy or professional, it's as gender as you want it to be, it's TREMENDOUS on Elders, and it reminds me of Sailor Uranus. What's not to love? Other than its lack of age options.

For TF, JUST LOOK AT THAT. How perfectly Y2K! The fact that it reminds me of Minako "PGSM" Aino is just an added bonus.

Combining CU into one tier - look at these. Look at how precious the little doggy face is. Augh.

And finally, for PU, the most perfectly darling hair in the entire game they knew they had to limit to toddlers or else nobody would ever bother to use anything else. No wonder we all immediately converted it for other ages. It's the perfect boho pigtail look. No notes, Maxis. (Wait, it was introduced in Nightlife?? Why? Whose baby is that on the dance floor?)

And an honourable mention for updo, which would be my favourite EYAM hair, if not for the fact it's technically an EYAF hair.

Q: Favorite life stage?

Probably teens, because they were such a fascinating introduction to me when I shifted from TS1 to TS2. Sims aging and passing away intrigued and terrified me all at once, but the unique middle-ground of autonomy vs. immaturity of TS2 teens must've resonated with me. They could have a job, but not a great one. They could date and go steady and make out, and it could be deathly serious to them, but they couldn't cross the line or get married or start a family. They could look after younger Sims and drive and drink (probably illegally) and buy things and run the household if need be, but they were still trapped with limited freedom or opportunities.

I know other games have given teens more agency and there are mods to do the same in TS2, but as a pre-teen who was just playing TS2 for the first time, it was a really perfect encapsulation of the middle-ground between adulthood and childhood and the excitement but frustration it brought.

I also really like Elders for similar reasons. In many ways, they often have more freedom than Adult Sims, but they can also be harder to play in other ways. Plus they get the short end of the stick in terms of content so I gotta cheer for them.

Q: Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I used to hate building (or at the very least, think I sucked at it) and was 100% dedicated to gameplay. Gameplay is still important to me, which is why I'll probably never move on from TS2, but these days I've really been enjoying building and decorating a lot more. It's also something I enjoy being able to do in TS4. Setting myself limitations like "CC Free" also adds interest to the challenge.

Q: Are you a CC creator?

Yep! Try to be at any rate, lol! It's interesting to see how I used to almost exclusively make build-buy content and now a lot of it is BodyShop CC.

Q: Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

Not on a private/personal scale. I have lots of people I recognise from Simblr who I chat with and reblog from frequently, and I think we have a good rapport, but I'm not around enough to really engage 1:1 with other Simmers like that. But I'm also really happy and proud to be a part of the little TS2 Simblr community and always smile when I recognise the same URLs and new posts popping up.

Q: Do you have any sims merch?

Other than physical copies of the games, not really! I've been meaning to invest in some fan-made merch like a pair of earrings or something. Any recommendations? (I also want that unofficial cookbook so bad.)

Q: Do you have a YouTube for sims?

No, but I keep thinking about it...

Q: How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

I've always been a rotational player, whether it be a specific challenge or not. I think the most interesting change in my style has been my intentional choice to cut CC back as far as possible. It's really pushed me to not only embrace a Mega Maxis Match aesthetic but it's also encouraged me to get more creative with the content already in the games.

Q: Who’s your favorite CC creator?

If I listed out all my favourites I'd be here all day and then I'd forget someone and feel terrible. I'm so lucky to be around at the same time as so many incredible CC creators, builders, storytellers, and modders here on Simblr who still make for TS2, and trust me, if you're here still posting updates for TS2 in the year 202X, I see you and I love you and I'm sending you all the positive energy you could ever use.

As a CC creator, though, I'd say my biggest inspiration is @crispsandkerosene. Their textures, models, animations, and especially their eye for the Maxis Match aesthetic are everything I aspire to some day, especially in their authentic TS1 recreations.

Q: How long have you had Simblr?

Since 2011... wow.

Q: How do you edit your pictures?

With The GIMP mostly just to resize. If it's an important screencap I might edit lighting/saturation for clarity, or mess around for storytelling purposes, but mostly it's just to crop and resize, lol. You guys all have to put up with my game's borked lighting.

Q: What expansion/gamepack is your favorite?

For TS1, I never had Makin Magic, so probably Pets. The animals themselves were fun but I was always transfixed by Old Town and gardening. Vacation is pretty close in my nostalgia, though.

For TS2 it's Bon Voyage. It's just such a jam-packed and well-thought-out EP, and you can tell it was Maxis's final love letter to the Sims franchise before they knew EA would put out their fire. Obviously I love Seasons and OFB as much as the next guy, but I think BV adds a surprising amount of replayability.

For TS3 it's 100% World Adventures. I love those gimmicky little tombs, lol. I always yearned for more life sim/time management elements to other exploration games, but I had never considered adding exploration/puzzle elements to a life sim instead. It's the perfect balance for me, lol; the tombs themselves may not be the most difficult puzzles, but having to manage your Sim's needs, finances, time, etc on top of those puzzles is exactly the kind of gameplay I was waiting for. (Why is the vacation EP basically my favourite for all these games?)

I don't have any TS4 EPs and I doubt I'll ever buy any, simply because I don't play the game enough, only decorate, but the one I'm most tempted by is the Tiny Living pack. I think I like the concept of it more than I like any of the objects it actually comes with, though, and technically I don't need an EP to make a tiny home.

Hi Woo, first wanted to say a happy belated birthday to ya, I hope you had a great one and you enjoyed it ^^ This is the first time in a long while I’ve ever actually sent a question on an ask blog, so apologies if this is scuffed by any means (it probably is). With how far the comic’s gone for now in the last three or so years give or take, how much do you feel you’ve grown as an individual? Your art is adorable, so I wanted to ask how it feels you’ve grown over time. Stay great & awesome Woo!

I've gained new friends, fell out of touch with old ones. expanded our family (with cats), and lost a parent. got treatment and therapy for crippling anxiety, and found out I'm neurodivergent (autism with a splash of adhd, yippee! ocd is speculated by some family members, but I have yet to explore that one in depth). graduated college with honors, and got a job not related to my degree in the slightest. destroyed and healed my wrist on a few occasions, and found out I have a chronic condition with my jaw. all in all though, I think I'm a lot happier than I've been in a long time! though things feel complicated at times, especially with my health, being able to identify issues and start working towards solutions has been really good for me. and with a lot of my mental hurdles overcome, I'm now working on physical health! which includes eating better (gotta recover from 4 years of instant ramen), getting more sleep, and working out (I am more Powerful than ever and nobody can stop me). I look forward to continuing to improve as time goes on!

OKAY, HI, I HAVE A HUGE DOPAMINE HIGH RIGHT NOW AND I NEED TO RAMBLE ABOUT Angel of The Sacred Flame ! Lock

So, The Sacred Flame is something thats worshiped by most in the FlameChurch and all other the continent, there were 8 gods at some point and then they died, became part of the Sacred Flame, cool, a guy named Aelfirc came along and defeated the Goddess Of Darkness, Vida, okay, that's something, the 8 gods were known as the Holy Council (yes, the holy council makes a comeback in this au), the first angel was then born, who, was, well, Starlight, she had a baby with the current Angel of The Sacred Flame, an angel named Luchia. After having Lock, Starlight had unfortunately passed away during birth, leaving Luchia to care for Lock on his own, a battle happens years later, Luchia dies protecting the Holy Council and the Sacred Flame from those who wish to destroy them, Lock at the time was about 17, and because she was next in line to become the Angel of The Sacred Flame, she was placed as such. Yippee, placed as protagonist by the plot! Woo!!

Note: The Angel of The Sacred Flame is the sworn protector of the Sacred Flame, they are also classified as knights due to how they are the protector. And also due to the armor they tend to wear.

Here's what I'm thinking: Lock comes down to earth due to her wanting to learn more about humanity and mortality, she ends up meeting Sera, who, in this, because royalty au is here, yay, Sacred Knight who protects the Flame from below. They meet and Sera is all like: holy shit Angel of The Sacred Flame??? Aight, I am now your body guard, and Lock is all: okayyy, thats chill, but, like, while were here, mind if I ask you a few questions?? And of course Sera immediately obliges because, well, yknow, Lock is known as a very holy being and super respected, this results in Lock sticking beside Sera the entire time and on the way, Lock gets to learn more about humanity, mortality and how things function down on earth!

This also ends up in Sera (probably) catching feelings first and Lock of course, she's fucking oblivious as hell, so she has no idea, that is until a year after this whole thing and Lock is all like: oh shit! I'm gay! And Sera the entire time has just been waiting for Lock to fucking realize,

and only when she does realize, Sera ends up nearly dead after a battle, bleeding out, etc, this pisses Lock off and Lock does the best she can to protect Sera. It's like, protected becomes the protector in a way. Lock ends up using her power "True Flame" (basically what it does is it summons 6 holy swords around her and she enhances them with holy magic, launching them at her enemy, usually resulting in an instant k/o.) to protect Sera, this results in the enemy obviously dying and Lock rushes over to Sera, picks her up and places her in her lap so she could use her magic to heal her, and during that while Lock is trying to keep Sera conscious and alive, she quite literally says:

"By the name of the Sacred Flame, you are not dying on me.. I love you too much to let you die."

YES YES ALL OF THIS YES, Sera's very patient with lock, and of course she's just like secretly "EEEE" whenever Lock's nice to her and stuff but she's OBLIVIOUS AS HELL until that moment. Because she's a dumbass. I can totally see Sera just. Showing her human stuff, like idk different books and foods and all sorts of cool things. Like, imagine Sera takes lock to a fair or someth? Babies.

Melody ganders at the ornament at just about every angle, buzzing around it and admiring its pretty colors and shine. And then she discovers it, the most exciting part of all: There’s an inside. It’s a snug, tiny home; it really is her gift!

In an instant, she dashes in to look around and play. She jumps on the bed, she opens every drawer of the dresser (opening and shutting them a few times over, as it’s pretty stimulating) and fantasizes of everything she can store—crumbs and trinkets and treasures! All the while, she’s giggling with delight. That is, until she’s back on the bed—her bed—and, in moments, she’s passed out. All the excitement can get exhausting. And being under a blanket is quite comfy.

Needless to say, she won’t be coming back out for a while.
