I was cutting onions the other day, and it started stinging my eyes so much. It hurt SO BAD!! My eyes were watering so much making it very difficult to see. I quickly had to rush to the bathroom to wipe my eyes hoping that it would ease the stingingness. After wiping some tears, I caught my reflection. Through my squinting eyes, I saw my bodies reaction to the evil onions. The sight of my puffy face, irritated eyes, and my snot filled nose made me realize something. I realized that I could feel, that I was alive, and that I didn’t feel numb or empty. Heck! I was making a salad! Life is so beautiful.

✨Mental Health Day Reflection✨ It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted on here. For that, I apologize, but I’ve been busy improving my mental standpoint and social confidence. I was once afraid of everyone, including myself, hiding away inside my room and having no motivation for anything. I became desperate for release of anxiety, pain, sadness. Then I sought out help, and I’m now nearly 100% better. I’m self-confident, am back in public school, and have a multitude of friends who support me through anything. I couldn’t be more grateful to all of those who assisted in my mental health journey. To those suffering, just know that it DOES get better, as I am living proof. I used to want to go to sleep and never wake up, now I can’t wake for what the next day holds. Getting a good night’s sleep is very important to ensuring we enjoy good mental health. When we don’t get good sleep, it can contribute to a range of problems including depression and anxiety. However for some it can sometimes feel hard to achieve amid the pressures of daily life. To help, i have come up with these top tips on how to get a good night’s sleep. Keeping a routine is key, If you’re finding it difficult to get to sleep, don't just lie there worrying. Get up for a while and get a drink (no sugar or caffeine, remember!) try reading for a little while and go back to bed when you’re feeling a bit sleepier. Keeping a sleep diary to make a note of what the conditions were when you went to bed the night before can be useful for letting you look back and see what has and what hasn’t worked for you. It also helps you to see how your sleep varies from night to night, and might help you note patterns in your sleeping. Look at us! We three authors-I’m with Ashley Smith and Bacchiere Alta at the blog-to-book workshop today. The reason why I write is so that people may come to know that hope is always real no matter the situation for a better life.
