Welcome back! A little content warning: Chapter 9 will be one of the heavier chapters regarding topics. My husband and I discussed this a lot, and came to the conclusion that I shouldn't edit out the darker themes of his book since this is still something so many LGBTQ people struggle with. On tapas I can use the content warning system, but here on tumblr I’ll just put my content warning info page in front of the pages in question. That being said, we don't want to wallow in "gay suffering" and Gay Bomb is at heart a hopeful story - my husband has an amazing ability to let comedy outweigh the tradegy. The Academy IS a safe space, for all its problems, it's just that it will take a little longer for some of the boys to realize it. + picnic date with jonas’ fireflies + battered old car shenanigans + amusement park hijinks  + prank video miniseries + camping + drive up to makeout ridge + one-upping eachother with gift giving + singin !! + bike & skateboard tricks + bonus ; patching eachother up when one inevitably falls + diy-ing clothes  + i feel like they’d have a lot of plants , so getting & naming plants + also they’d absolutely have a dog so also adopting a dog + more roadkill pets + mitch kicking ass at carnival games coz he’s special & jonas bugging him to not do it , but also not saying no to the plushys he’s offered + jonas singing at the birds in the morning , mitch screeching + blanket nest ,,, idk how else to explain + the ever-essential Boyfriend Hoodie + mitch constantly breaking his phone so jonas gets him a nokia + he manages to break that one too + matching tattoos ??? coz mitch would 100% be trying to act cool whilst freaking out and jonas would just be like ‘do you want to hold my hand’ + one cookie two bastards except they both try to steal the cookie via more and more absurd and elaborate means ; think chip n dale , donald duck , looney tunes , etc + live show , jonas ends up in the mosh pit and refuses to get out until it’s ended + jonas just wearing rings n necklaces occasionally n mitch noticing n suddenly pieces of jewelry just start mysteriously showing up + jonas dyes his hair

So I am starting a webcomic. And it's going to be meta af. It's about a young adult that has no idea what they wanna do with their life. Also they have worked at fast food and various other retail stores. But never seem to get ahead in a world with massive inflation problems and many social issues as it edges towards ww3 and repeat of the dirty 30s. Anyhoo, here is the rough for the first panel.

It’s been two years since I started posting Gay Bomb on Tapas.io!

Gay Bomb is an adaptation of my husband @toon-pirate‘s young adult novel of the same name. The webcomic started out as a drawing exercise before I took on a bigger project, but it soon developed into a huge project of its own.

It’s been a wonderful couple of years, and I’m looking forward to finishing the story!
