Your word is your bond. Period. Keeping your word is the difference between people trusting you and distrusting you, the difference between retaining quality clients and not being able to keep any great clients to save your life. It's a difference and having close and trusting relationship with your family and friends, and in being suspicious, guarded and not letting anyone get close to you, therefore being secretly lonely and anxious. I know because I've been there on all sides of the fence, and I can tell you that keeping your word to yourself is very powerful in your path. And once you learn this, your whole life changes and opportunities open up. If you say that you are going to do something, then do it whether, that be a word that you keep to yourself, or your word that you keep to others, it's really important that you trust yourself to do as you say you were going to do. If you say you're going to go to the gym in the morning, go to the gym, dammit. You will feel so much better once you do. If you say that you're going to eat healthy, then hold yourself accountable and eat healthy. If you say you'll to walk your dogs in the evening, walk the poor things. I recently had a challenging experience with a photographer, and the lesson I tried to get across to him was this very simple sentence that how you do anything is how you do everything. And that by keeping your word to yourself and to others, you are sending a subliminal message to your brain and two other people that you can not only be trusted to do what you say you're going to do, but you can be trusted with your work. That you can also be trusted with keeping something confident, what you can be trusted with being where you say you were going to be when you say you are going to be there, and you can be trusted to be dependable and to do a great job. Your word is everything, especially when keeping it to yourself. Because at the end of the day, you are the one who looks at yourself in the mirror and you are the one that counts. You are the one who matters the most.
