Octopath Traveler II for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Windows now available - Gematsu

Publisher Square Enix and developer ACQUIRE have released Octopath Traveler II for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Microsoft Store for $59.99. A bundle containing both Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II is also available for $74.99. Both games are also available via Xbox Game Pass.

Octopath Traveler II first launched for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on February 24, 2024.

A while ago I discovered a Youtuber named The Winterer who does a lot of art drawing based videos on various things like Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss and Undertale/Deltarune to name a few examples, but she does do her own things from time to time.

It is here I discovered 2 of her OCs named Horace and Roxie, a married cockroach couple that are also criminals. 

Here are a few facts about them that I found while watching her videos.

Horace

• Is a hissing cockroach • Asexual • Sounds like Oogie Boogie

Roxie

• Is a American cockroach • Bisexual • Has a soft singing voice

A fact they both share is that they both love each other very much and just as much love their twin sons Ronald and Reginald.

I like Horace and Roxie as they seem to have a Roger Rabbit X Jessica Rabbit like relationship, which The Winterer actually joked about in this video:www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWblxy…

I also like them cause it is rare to see criminals/villains/antagonist/etc. be in happy romantic relationships, and even rarer to seem them happily married, and when it happens they turn out to be pretty adorable like the Monarchs from the Venture Bros for example.

I hope to see more art of these 2 in the future, and maybe we can see more than just pics one day. The Winterer has talked about an idea for a series called “Travel Bugs” which would be about seeing various kinds of bugs live their lives in certain areas and during certain time periods. Though admittedly it sounds interesting I’m not that in love with the premise as from what I’ve seen/heard about shows like that, they tend to not spend as much time on certain characters since they don’t stay in one area/one time period for long. When I was trying to figure out what the “Travel Bugs” series was going to be like I thought up some possibilities, and I think I got something that I think could still give The Winterer what she wants to do but still makes it possible for her bug characters to be common characters, and even the chance to interact with each other.

Maybe if this post does well, I'll do another post going over those ideas I thought up, as by now people should know that I like to post about the most random things.

Things to Do Before You Die : Take a Helicopter Tour

There are many ways to take to the skies in Yara - seems no one needs a pilot license nowadays. If you are feeling bold but not bold enough to fly by yourself, you can take a short but worth it Helicopter Tour off the coast of Conuco in El Este. The tour will take you along the Sombra River, over the village of Maldito, over to Schaub Pass and off the coast.

Pick up is at Carbonell Farm - It's a coconut farm - South East of Concepción. Your pilot's name is Calixto Alba. He's a former FND pilot but he'll tell you all about it. At the end of the tour, the pilot can either take you back to the farm or you can parachute down to a ship below. Your call, but remember, in life, you only regret the things you haven't done. Happy flying!

book review || Well Traveled by Jen DeLuca

video review ||  I Don't Know if That's a Good Thing -- February Wrap Up || 10 books!  

Oof. This was such a letdown. My enjoyment of this series had been going up with every new book, but this one didn’t really feel like a romance book, as the whole focus was more on Lulu taking a break from the stress and expectations of her job, finding peace with herself, and a new happiness. I really liked that story, but it wasn’t a romance. It felt as though DeLuca was trying to ride that line that Emily Henry often does, but didn’t put nearly enough focus on the romance for it to be successful.

With how this started, I was assuming it was going to be a slow burn, but then in the middle, when Lulu was getting jealous of all these women Dex had previously slept with, I could see exactly what would happen and VIOLA, I was right. They have quite a stereotypical argument in the rain that turns into a professing of feelings and making out. I’d have been all over this… if I actually felt any real chemistry between Dex and Lulu. Prior to this point, most of their interactions are bad flirting and a little banter, so when Dex confesses that his favorite moment of the day is talking with her, I was so confused because we haven’t seen them discuss anything of importance or any real depth.

Speaking of depth, Lulu was a well-developed character and I was completely convinced by her. Dex? Not so much. He was very 1-D in comparison to the other heroes of the series. Sure, he’s a bad boy player who’s trying to reform, but that doesn’t make him interesting, since there are plenty of those heroes out there. Not to mention, the part about him never being taken seriously and trying to change that was equally as underwhelming. I didn’t care about his character, his growth, or really, his relationship with Lulu.

Sure, there was a bit more spice in this one than in previous books, but spice doesn’t equal romance. The ending was cute though, I’ll give it that, and I loved seeing more of couples from the previous books, plus the renaissance faire atmosphere was as strong as ever. Yet, this was still such a letdown.
