With any luck, I should be in Indianapolis for Gencon by now :-)  *fingers crossed*  To celebrate my Nerdcation, here are pics of my “Geek Flair” jacket, with the patches curated and re-sewn. There’s a big empty space on the back, but all the better for adding new patches later :-). Some of which I may try to make myself, like the Ace-flag heart and the Urban Threads logo. There was also lots of fabric-puckering previously, and adding patches to the ends of sleeves is bad if you want to roll them up in the summer, so it’s also much comfier to wear after edits. Yay for army surplus. I had to crop it because it’s a “men’s work shirt” and men don’t have hips like mine, but it actually suits my figure better that way. I plan to wear this every day of con, so if you see it, that’s probably me innit, lol. This is just a great project in general, I recommend it for any of my fellow geeky sewcialists :-)

Hey friends! Do you like supporting small businesses? Do you like high fantasy shows that subvert all kinds of tropes? Do you like D&D settings with awesome storylines? Do you like creatively-mouthed bards, hilarious orcs, clueless villans and female ors and dwarves? Then you should check out JourneyQuest! You can watch it for free on Amazon Prime, and if you enjoy seasons 1-3, which run a total of about 4 hours, then you should check out their kickstarter for the 4th season! Maybe kick a couple bucks their way.

This company is close to my heart; before I played my first game of D&D, my friends had me watch The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. I laughed so hard, I cried. I highly recommend checking them out, even if you can't contribute monetarily!

My #1 post of 2022

So, I worked a bunch on this website and while I’m sure many geocities veterans could do better I worked hard on it dangit.

The Shattered Compass itself is a streaming show coming to the zombieorpheus twitch on like, Monday. I know the guy who’s running it - obvs or I wouldn’t have made him a website - and it promises to be a good time. Bunch of people from an improv troupe getting together to have a good time, with costumes and characters. Plus they set it up so the audience can troll them, because what is life without a little spice.

I had a point, but I forgot it. Oh well.

JourneyQuest Season 4, and why it’s good.

Uhhhh, it’s about a dyslexic wizard, an undead cleric, a thick headed warrior who kills everything, and an elf who’s all about that destiny and mystery.

Plus there are orcs who are adorable, and there’s a Bard. 

It’s almost worth watching for the Bard and Orc alone, but there’s more. Oh so more.

And they will continue to be more if anyone has a pretty penny to spare and send the love to this group on their last few hours of the kickstarter.

It seems pretty late to support them, but trust me, there’s been more surprises to us this year than this one. So if you got the financial means to do so, please consider this as a worthwhile investment to both the community and to the Fantasy genre as a whole.
