Imagine, if you will:
Yuu/MC and Grim were a last-minute addition to the group, so Rollo didn't know to prepare attire for them for the ball, right?
Imagine, as Mozus Trein tirelessly works on assisting with the clean-up of the prior night's incident, something tugs at his heart. Fleur City is special to him. He met his precious wife here and brought his daughters to topsy-turvy fest countless times, dressed up like royalty to freely enjoy the festivities. He recalls the joy in their eyes as they danced in gorgeously embroidered fabrics like the ones his students currently adorned.
Well... all of his students except for Yuu/MC.
The dead roots and rubble from the chaos have finally been cleared out. His back aches and he hasn't slept since the morning he and his students arrived. Daylight has just broken. Shops in the town will be opening for business if their owners were fortunate enough to not be overrun by firelotuses.
Mozus Trein, instead of heading to his own room for some much needed rest, knocks on Yuu/MC's door.
"It won't do to have a student representing NRC left out of the festivities," he says. "Come along. We are going to find you a fine dress/suit for the ball."
He may be no fairy godmother, but he is a good teacher.
------
Note: I know that Grim got his little costume right off the bat in the event but I really love the idea of an absolutely exhausted Trein after everything being like "Fatherly instincts kicking in... must send child to the ball!!!" It's too perfect of a setup okay??? But I know it's more likely that they went shopping as soon as they went off for the field work in town. I just want my Yuu Is Cinderella Moment.

Malleus: I don't know what to do with this information.

"Goodness, aren't you just the most handsome boy!"
You coo at the purring bundle of fluff sprawled out at your feet, rolling happily amongst the leaves that have settled on the cobblestone pathway up to Ramshackle. Your fingers thread through a black-furred tummy, nearly caught by the playful cat that wriggles excitedly each time he catches you on your way home.
Your companion, who you were about to set off on a walk with, is slightly less pleased. He says nothing, but his lips are pulled into a pout. Tsunotarou seems to be more focused on you than the cat you're showering with affection. Something unfamiliar tugs at his chest. A childlike envy that a prince ought to be ashamed of having.
But something just felt wrong with your words. More specifically, the subject to which they were directed.
The heir to Briar Valley is cautious to reign in his emotions. That doesn't stop the light drizzle that begins to pour. You, ever-observant, are broken from your trance with the playful cat and look up to him. Your smile falters from worry- then quirks back into place as you snicker, noting the turn of his lips.
"Tsunotarou- are you jealous?"
"No."
Thunder booms. You can't help but laught at how silly the situation is, and the charm of your delight- no matter it's direction at him- makes Tsunotarou's chest flutter. He thinks to protest, insisting you not tease him, but thinks he'd be sad if you stopped, too.
"Sorry, I know I'm supposed to be spending time with you right now. Shall we get going?" Your consideration warms his heart. His tantrumous moods never last long when you're involved. Your company melts any dissatisfaction or distress he has away like his own fiery breath melts ice cream in his mouth. The delight thereafter is similar as well. Better, maybe. Definitely.
"You have done nothing wrong," he answers, smooth and cordial, relieved that you've given him a way out of the question so easily. The sun shower is over in moments as steady conversation settles in.
A troublesome little cat trails along behind, not quite ready to give up his source of affection to a dragon.

Hear me out: Malleus would adore the human tradition of wedding cakes.
I'm talking the special couple's cake that you take a slice from, then freeze the rest for the many years to come. Annual events have been growing on him since you became a key part of them. Malleus is always excited for the anniversary date when you cut another slice to share. It's a celebration of your togetherness, your eternal love. The reminder that the solitude and longing he once was consumed by has been put to rest and replaced with joyous days by your side.
Sweet memories to hold dear to his heart- and sweets at the end of a fork, which he always insists on holding while you take a bite. He loves that pouty blush and your half-hearted protests as you remind him that you can hold it yourself, indulging him anyways.
You always do.

(Spoilers for Twisted Wonderland Chapter 7-53/54)
Imagine...
You stand before Malleus Draconia, consumed by blot and seething as you and Silver denounce his domain of endless, beautiful dreams.
His sneer prickles like static. You're ready for the worst, for the consequences of his angry, petulant power trip, but then- he laughs. A familiar sound that you would easily be lost in if not for the mirthless tone and pitch-black ink crowning his brow. You ground yourself against the ache in your chest.
“As the king of this peaceful eternity I should quash any rebellion outright. However," the tainted prince lingers, his gaze heavy and leering as it fixates upon only you.
"For you, Child of Man, I’ll play along with this hero act."
Something wistful and mischevious sparks in his eyes. Malleus had felt quite jealous at how each overblot brought you much closer to the others. How wonderful, then, that you awakened from your eternal dream to share this with him.
Except he would not lose to you like the others.
You shudder and realize your goosebumps aren't from his gaze. The charged air grows with the green light that gathers around him.
“Well then, Child of Man… come for me if you dare."

TWST Headcannons/Idea:
Despite the rivalry between NRC and RSA, the NRC Mystery Shack is tight-knit business partners with the RSA's own little on-campus store.
While at Sam's Mystery Shack you might catch a glimpse of strange shadows stocking shelves and whispering things to the owner, you'll notice the owner of the Lost Boys Shack has no shadow…
The RSA Lost Boys Shack, known for providing jobs to students on campus who find their pockets on the empty side, is run by a young looking guy named Pan who is often mistaken for a student himself.
Pan is pretty infamous on campus. While both RSA and NRC employ diurnal fae, it's very odd to see a diurnal fairy- especially a tinker fairy- so attached to a nocturnal fairy! The two seem to chat often without the use of a translation bell.
The tinker fairy, fondly known as "Bell" on campus, is a valuable asset to the Lost Boys Shack in assuring great discounts for high-quality products. Pan's Lost Boys will go into town and collect broken goods from stores to re-sell after Bell repairs them to be good as new- or sometimes even better! Some of these items stay at RSA's store for sale. Others show up at their business partner's location shortly after a certain pointy-eared shadow shows up…
Bell does far more than just fix things. She has a more spunky, stubborn attitude than most diurnal fae and isn't afraid to pull a few strings to get a few unusual goods from the faelands for Pan. You won't see pixie dust on display but it sells for a pretty penny. Rumors have been floating around that the next fairy Gala is taking place in the botanical garden of NRC... so it wouldn't hurt to have some pixie dust in stock for Sam, right?

Briar Valley Lore HC:
The powerful aura of the Draconias isn't the only reason people fear them. The Draconias have a habit of letting rumors go uninterrupted, more interested in simply seeing what happens. Allowing such things to remain without punishment simply because they're interesting is a trait shared by the royal family members.
As a result, you get a few tales like this:
Queen Malefica, grandmother of the heir apparent and future king of the abyss, spins and weaves a banner that reaches back to the end of time. It records the fate of all in Briar Valley, both that which has passed and that which is to come. If you cross the queen, she will weave you an ill fate.
Reality:
Malefica, at some point in her youth, started weaving a temperature blanket and has not stopped since. Thanks to her powerful magic, she can keep it going even when she is busy with other matters. Its color shifts across the day to show what temperatures occurred at the same time in the past. Sometimes, you can see very dramatic shifts in color when a Draconia threw a fit that changed the weather, or when something good happened that blew away all chill and storm.
But really- it's just a temperature blanket.
She adores the story her loyal subjects have made, though. She doesn't want to spoil the fun. ;)

Scuse me, are requests open??
Yes, they are! I'm not likely to write all of them, as I'm an ass disaster with poor time management skills, but you're welcome to fill my ask box with requests!

Malleus's favorite food is ice cream and his least favorite is a whole cake.
Imagine... giving him a whole mini ice cream cake.
Just to watch his face scrunch in displeasure and confusion as he tries to assess why his favorite person would give him his least favorite thing, brows furrowing harder when you grin and encourage him to take a bite. His eyes shoot wide as the cold treat tingles and melts on his tongue into a burst of sweet flavor. He laughs as he realizes your cheeky, mischevious little intentions- you've duped him with a dessert paradox!
He's called you bold plenty of times, he supposes, but you never cease to surprise him. Few have the courage to play a prank on a dragon... he'll add this to the endless list of things he adores about you.

Headcannon: the Queendom of Roses
Names and surnames in the Queendom of Roses are often based on card numbers and suits. During the time of the Queen of Hearts many card soldiers took on surnames related to their suit or rank as a form of prestige.
While this was intended to create a long-lived legacy based on one's loyalty to the throne, it turns out a lot of people had the same idea and weren't very original. Hence, variations of Spade, Diamond, Heart, and Club/Clover are common.
Other surnames, like Trappola, are more rare. Generals in the Queen of Hearts' army would earn a surname if they were victorious in a battle of note. Once the Queen had decided what to name the battle in the history books, she'd bestow it as a surname to the general of note. Participating soldiers of note may receive variations or shorter versions of the surname.
Often, surnames earned by war also become the name of popular card games, in honor of the card soldiers.
First names such as Ace, Deuce, Trey and Cater are all very common in the Queendom of Roses, like an equivalent to John, James, William, etc. As such, Riddle is actually an uncommon name.
Have any name headcannons of your own? Feel free to add them to the post!

Imagine a meet-cute with Azul where you've forged his signatures on MANY contracts in your favor (hey, restoring Ramshackle is expensive and you NEED SHELTER). You two meet in-person for the first time when he comes to accuse you of stealing HIS identity after months of your schemes. He's pissed, but also impressed. Azul Ashengrotto is a diligent and paranoid cautious merman, and he wants to know how the hell you outwitted him.

-Convo with a Yuu who doesn't like eating-
Malleus: Love, I do understand that you're not overly fond of eating, but perhaps you should eat more if only for the sake of your health. Look at your wrists: skin and bones. I might accidentally snap you in half if you continue like this.
Yuu: Please snap me in half.
Malleus: ... Perhaps you should learn to say things at their appropriate time and place, as well.

A sneak peak of what is to come:
I've been speaking with an archeology-obsessed family member to assist me in world building for my Twst fics. Specifically, for the history of magical creatures, how they've evolved, and their ecology in the distant past.
This is mostly dragon-focused because 1) I am obsessed with Malleus and want to make a long-ass fanfiction one day for him specifically and 2) my family member is particularly obsessed with lizards.
I hope y'all look forward to what we end up making!

I've seen sooooo many fics where Malleus is courting y/n and gives them his "greatest treasure" or the "heart of his treasury" as a courting thing, and it's always some fabulous expensive jewelry or glamorous gem of a family heirloom.
But y'all.
We all know his most prized possession is Gao-Gao Dragon.
---
Imagine Malleus Draconia earnestly gazing into your eyes as he presses his prized tamagotchi into your palm. Your hands cradle the little device. His own lithe fingers wrap around them.
"He is yours to care for."
Youre breathless. And bewildered. Once you've discovered air again, your gaze seeks Malleus's for answers. You find only a soft verdant in his eyes. Springtime, and hope, and blossoming things. Affection like a birds song and warmth like down feathers. A world you could waltz in forever.
It is clear this gaze is meant only for you.
"Why?" You think you know.
"It is Briar Valley tradition," he begins. The tenderness in his voice makes your heart swoop.
"To vie for the affection of one whose love and affection we ardently seek with a gift." Malleus's lips curl into a smile. His thin slitted eyes narrow to teasing half-lidded pleasure at the growing red on your cheeks. Earnest as he means this to be, he cannot help but be tempted by your bashful nature. "One's most precious belonging, to be precise. For that is the only thing that comes close to the heart of one's most beloved."
Your heart thrums too loudly to think and you pull Gao-Gao against your chest.
"He'll miss you, you know. I doubt I can care for him as well as you always have," you admit. "We'll have to schedule plenty of play-dates with...?" Come to think of it, you can't recall if Malleus ever gave a name to Gao-Gao's friend. He had always called it just that.
It appears he hadn't, because there's a pause and a solemn hum as Malleus thinks.
"Roaring Drago," he decides.
"That's practically the same thing!" You laugh in fond protest. Malleus feigns a pout in return.
"I quite like it though."
He can't hold it for long before a smile breaks through his guise. Silence settles between you both- comfortable, but a little shy- until you feel soft lips pressed against your forehead.
"My dearest beloved," he near-whispers against your skin, "I vow to bring you all of the happiness in the world, as you have brought me."
