Pros of writing gay relationships:
- gay
Cons of writing gay relationships:
- they both have THE SAME FCKIN PRONOUNS SO I CONSTANTLY HAVE TO NAME BOTH CHARACTERS BECAUSE OTHERWISE IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL WHO’S DOING WHAT OR WHO’S SPEAKING WHO WILL SAVE ME FROM THIS HELL

How to Write Deaf Characters - From a real Deaf person’s perspective
Hello readers and writers alike, I would like to point out something that has been so glaringly annoying to me and other Deaf/HoH people so that we can end all these misconceptions. People who write for Deaf!Readers should know a few things before starting their imagines, fanfictions, blurbs - anything. It is not anyone’s fault for not knowing these things, most hearing people are not aware of the Deaf community or Deaf culture so here I am, a Deaf person who is majoring in Deaf Studies and Culture, coming here to tell you a few things to know when writing for a Deaf!Reader
(Remember this is my experience as a Deaf/HoH person and it may differ from person to person but this is what I learned/have slight annoyances within writing)
Deaf and Hard of Hearing is a culture. Yes, most people consider it a disability but IT IS NOT SOMETHING WE ARE ASHAMED OF! Please stop writing fics/imagines about Deaf!Reader being ashamed of not being able to hear or getting hearing aids to impress their SO. It’s completely wrong and just annoying. We are proud of our Deafness and we don’t want to be fixed.
DO NOT USE THE TERM ‘HEARING IMPAIRED’! This is basically a slur word. It was widely used in the ’90s but now it’s considered a derogatory term. Just use Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Or ‘deaf’ if the person is medically deaf and not culturally Deaf. (see next point)
Deaf and ‘deaf’ are different. Deaf is a cultural term for people who are born Deaf and raised in the community. The term ‘deaf’ is used in the medical field or used to describe someone who has hearing loss that does not associate with the Deaf Community. Usually, a hearing person who has become deaf later on.
Sign language is not a worldwide language. There are different types of language within sign language. ASL is for American and Canada. BSL is for Britain. So if you’re writing a story that takes place in a country that is not America or Canada, do not say ASL.
ASL does not = English. Same for every other language. ASL is its own language with grammar rules and semantics. It does not directly translate to English. So if you’re writing ASL most likely write in GLOSS or write it as you would write a hearing character. (Sentance: I want to go to the mall and buy a dress. GLOSS: I WANT WANT GO TO MALL I. ME BUY DRESS ME )
Deafness is on a spectrum. There is a legal threshold that someone must pass to be considered legally Deaf. Some Deaf people can hear more than others. I can hear high pitched noises sometimes. I know someone who can hear voices but can not hear what they are saying. Both of us are Deaf and we both cross that threshold. So when writing your Deaf!Character make sure to set a bar of what they can and can not hear.
Hearing Aids do not cure anyone’s deafness. It only helps hear some sounds and maybe hear if people are talking. Not what they are saying although it can help with that depending on how far they are on the Deaf scale.
Cochlear Implants are very controversial in the Deaf Community so if you’re going to write about them do your research!!! They are also not a cure for Deafness, just an aid.
Deaf people are not masters at lipreading! Even the best lip readers can only make sense of 30% of what is being said. I’ve been lip reading for years and I still only understand a little bit of what is being said. So no, your character is not going to miraculously know what’s going on from lip reading.
DO NOT have your characters yell at your Deaf characters. DOES NOT MATTER HOW LOUD YOU ARE! We can not hear you. Neither can your character. Have your other hearing characters speak normally. That’s the best way to lip read if they must.
Most Deaf people are born from hearing parents. It’s really rare for a whole entire family to be Deaf (Although I’ve met some and it’s super cool). But your character is probably born to hearing parents.
ALSO, the majority of hearing families with Deaf children do NOT learn ASL. It sucks but it’s true. Only about 30-40% of families learn sign for their Deaf family members. So keep it in mind,
So this is my list for now! I may add to it the more I think about things but this is basics I think everyone should know. If I forgot some then feel free to add! (as long as you are knowledgeable about the topic please). If you have questions please message me! Or if you need someone to proofread your Deaf!Imagines then I almost here for that. So happy writings everyone!

I Love Him
Pairing: Wolfstar
Type: Just fluff!
Word count: 849
Warnings: None
Summary: Sirius is in love. Now all that’s left to do is tell Moony.
I love him. I’m in love with him. Holy shit. I’m in love with Remus Lupin. The pair started dating about four and a half months ago. Probably the best four and a half months of his live. Every single day he got to spend with Remus was amazing. He learned more about him every day. Moony just got him in a way that nobody else ever had. All of this, and more, lead him to realizing that after less than five months, he’d fallen desperately in live with his best friend.
“How do I tell him, Prongs?” He’d confided in his best friend about all of this. Honestly, he wasn’t sure how to deal with any of this. “What do you mean? Just tell him.” James didn’t really get why this was a big deal. They were dating after all. This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Anyone who saw them together would be able to tell the boys were head over heels for one another. Why should he keep this a secret? “I don’t know.” Sirius panicked. “Is it too soon? I mean, we’ve only been dating for four months. What if he doesn’t feel the same way?” Sirius was pacing back in forth in front of James. “Well,” Prongs reasoned “you’ve been friends since we were all eleven. So, technically, you’ve had a lot longer than five months to develop your feelings for him.” Prongs had never seen Sirius so worked up about anything in his entire life. Typically, Padfoot was a relaxed, and laidback person. “Also,” He continued, “What’s the worst that’s going to happen if you tell him?” “I don’t know. He may feel uncomfortable about this whole thing and want to break up with me.” Deep down Sirius knew that Moony wouldn’t break up with him for this. However, reason wasn’t taking up much space in his brain right now. Worry and self-doubt had the reigns. “Padfoot. Breath. Both you and I know that Moony likes you too much to break up with you. So just tell him. Put yourself out of your own misery.” Right when he said that, like magic, Moony walked through the portrait hole and into the conference room. The second Moony came to sit down, James stood up and made an excuse to leave. Something about having to go clean their room. Bullshit. Before he left though, he made sure to give Padfoot deliberate eye contact. He was trying to communicate through his eyes that Sirius needed to sack up and tell Remus how he really felt. “Hey Moons, can I talk to you about something?” His voice was almost as shaky as his hands. “Sure Pads,” He smiles, his eyes shining with concern. It wasn’t hard to tell that something was off with his typically smooth and confidant boyfriend. “What’s going on?” “Umm… there’s something I-uh wanted to talk to you about.” He took a deep breath in. “Of course, Pads. Anything. You know that.” Now Remus was a bit worried. He didn’t know what was going on, but it must be something big for him to react this way. “Okay, so… I know we haven’t really been dating all that long. These past few months though, have been the best of my life.” As nervous as he was to be saying all of this, there was a sense of excitement about telling Remus. “That’s all been because of you, Moony. You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met. I’m so glad that you even ever agreed to go out with me. I just- I wanted to tell you that I’m in love with you.” There it was. He said it. Moony’s eyes went wide with surprise. “You… You love me?” He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Sirius loved him. “Yeah. I do. I love you Remus. I know that it’s really soon, but I’ve never met anyone like you. You’re brilliant, and kind, and dead sexy. I-I just figured I should tell you. I hope this doesn’t freak you out too much. But- “He was cut off by Remus springing forward to kiss his rambling boyfriend. “I love you too.” He whispered against Padfoot’s lips. “You love me?” In all honesty, he’d never really imagined that Moony would say it back. Every time he pictured this. He’d really only ever imagined negative outcomes. “Of course I love you Sirius. You are the best thing in my life. I couldn’t picture my life without my stupid, reckless, amazing and ‘dead sexy’ boyfriend.” Those words cause a low chuckle to emerge from Sirius’ lips. He pressed their foreheads together and bit his lip. “Well the. Would you want to go upstairs and… celebrate?” A wicked smile crossed Sirius’s lips. “Yes. Please. Let’s go.” There was an urgency to Moony’s voice. But then he remembered something. “Shit. What about Prongs.” He’d gone up there a bit ago to give the boy’s their privacy. “I think he’ll be willing to leave once he knows what we’re up to.” Sirius smirked and grabbed his love’s hand to lead him upstairs.

Beyond Fixing
Pairing: Wolfstar
Type: Angst, fluff
Word count: 800
Warnings: Broken relationship
Summary: Their relationship has been hurting for a long time. Are they too broken to be fixed?
“What happened to us Moony?” Remus and Sirius were sat on opposite ends of the couch, each holing their own mugs of coffee.
The pair had lived together since they left school. At first, they’d been great. They were happy, in love, and incredibly optimistic about life. About the world in general.
Work as an Auror made Sirius harder and more closed off. Remus’ job made him tired. Working with kids all day, as well as dealing with the other professors treating him like the student they all knew him as, years ago. It took a toll on them. They stopped spending time together. Stopped really needing to.
They realized that life on their own was harder than they ever expected. There was a lot of stress they hadn’t expected, a lot of acrimony they weren’t ready for. It hurt their relationship.
It was easy to ignore at first, thinking they were simply stressed, or going through a rough patch. They’d get through it. Soon though, it wasn’t just a rough patch. They would go a day, or even sometimes two without really talking to one another. The traits they fell in love with became the characteristics grating on the other’s nerve.
Sirius’ joking and youthful nature became childish and immature. Remus’ intense focus made Padfoot feel ignored. His shy and quiet nature quickly became boring.
Now it’d been almost six years, and instead of sitting together on the couch and cuddling into each other, like they would’ve a few years ago, they sat on opposite ends.
When Sirius looked over at the man he married, he felt a surge of sadness, loneliness, and regret. He missed Moony. He missed them, and the way they used to be. He missed feeling giddy over seeing his boyfriend. He missed the passion they once shared. They were stuck in a rut. Their routine locked them in a box. They did the same things every day. Nothing changed and soon their romance had staled.
He shut off the television and turned to Remus. “What happened to us Moony? We’re not the same as we used to be. I miss you Remus. I want to fix this.” The way Remus was looking at him, wide-eyed and vulnerable, made Sirius’ heart ache.
“I...I don’t know how... how we let it get this far.” He seemed a little lost for words at the entire conversation.
“I think it’s been happening for a long time Rem. I love you, and I always will, but our relationship has been deteriorating. I don’t want us to fall apart. I need you Remus. Can we fix this? Us?” He wrapped his arms around his torso, trying to comfort himself.
“I love you too Sirius. I want to fix us, but what if we’ve already let it go on for too long? What if we can’t get back to where we used to be?” There was fear in his voice.
This was something he worried about too. Were they too broken to be fixed? He couldn’t stand the idea that he and Remus might not be together. Just the thought broke something inside him. He couldn’t imagine who he’d be, or where he’d be if he didn’t have Remus in his life.
Remus was the person who had gotten him through the hardest parts of his life. Remus helped him feel better about himself and helped him get through a time in his life where he couldn’t feel safe in his own home.
“We have to get through this Rem. You’re the most important person in my life.” The tears started falling from his beautiful grey eyes. “I don’t know what I would do without you in my life. You are everything to me Moony.” Right now, he needed to be close to him. He needed to feel Remus against him. Moony’s skin on his. He crawled over and curled into his side, like he used to before all of this started. “I need you too Sirius. You’re the only man I have ever loved, and you’re the strongest person I’ve ever known. You have been here for me through everything.” Moony wrapped his arms around his husband, burring his face into Padfoot’s hair. “We can fix it. We will fix us Sirius.”
Tonight was the first night in a long time that the two had felt connected. They finally started to feel like they belonged again. They could work out, and they would stay together. They finally felt that they would be happy again.
“I love you Remus.” Sirius murmured as be began to fall asleep in his husband’s arms.
“I love you too Sirius.”
They stayed on the couch that night, wrapped up in each other’s arms, peacefully falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the other’s heartbeat.

I Don’t Deserve You
Pairing: Wolfstar
Type: Fluff, a little bit of angst
Word count: 2764
Warnings: None
Summary: Remus realizes he is in love with his best friend and everything spirals from there.
Remus usually didn’t have a problem getting through a book. They were typically exceptionally easy for him to sink into.
He liked to imagine these stories were his real life. In these fictional worlds he wasn’t a hideous monster, he was a soldier off to fight for his country. He wasn’t a slave to the full moon, he was a swash-buckling pirate. He wasn’t covered in ugly scars, he was a handsome prince. When Remus sunk into a story he wasn’t a monster, or ugly or unlovable. He was heroic and strong. He always won, and he was always loved.
Usually Remus Lupin didn’t like his life or who he was. There was little he would keep the same. He loved his friends and he loved being a wizard and Hogwarts in general, but those were pretty much the only things. He could always find some new facet of his being that he would change, but his friends and his school were always something he could count on. They were his constants.
That’s why he was so completely shocked by this new turn of events.
The Marauders were sitting in the library, trying to finish up their potions assignment. Or, at least Moony was. The other three were goofing off and intermittently getting a bit of work done here and there.
Padfoot was sitting across from his, teasing Wormtail about some girl he fancied in the year above them. He said something funny, Remus didn’t even know what, but as they all sat there laughing, he looked up and over to Sirius, and it hit him. The thought was so sudden that he abruptly stooped laughing at paled.
‘I love him.’
The feelings were so raw and overwhelming that he didn’t know what to do. He could hardly think.
He stood up suddenly, causing the other three boys to look up, stunned.
“Moony, are you alright?” It was Peter who asked, but it was Sirius who locked eyes with him, asking the same question silently.
“I’m going to the bathroom.” He quickly collected his things and left.
He escaped as quickly as possible, trying to gulp down as much air as he could manage.
How was this possible? How could he be in love with his best friend? How did he let this happen? Why was he so surprised by this? Don’t people usually know when they’re falling in love with someone before it happens? Regardless, it was true. The more he thought about it, the more he could confirm it was true. He was in love with Sirius Black.
Everything about Padfoot enthralled Remus. His sense of humor, his wit, his sarcasm, and sass. The way the boy loved so fiercely and his loyalty to his chosen family never failed to awe Remus. Sirius was almost completely fearless, but even when he was afraid, he never let that stop him or hold him back in any way. Sirius thrived from the challenge.
Then, there were his eyes. They were a deep, endless grey. It was incredibly easy to get lost in them They held so much intrigue and mystery. His hair was beautiful. Deep black, and incredibly soft. The more he thought about Sirius’ hair, the more it drove him mad. The way it flowed down his strong shoulders could hypnotize anyone, but when he tied it up in a knot on the top of his head, exposing his long pale neck, left Remus feeling breathless even at the mere thought.
He needed to stop this now. This wasn’t going to help anything. This was a bad ides. This was a disaster waiting to happen. Nothing good could come from his. Nobody could know. This was just another thing he would change if he could. This was going to make life a hell of a lot more difficult.
Moony sat on this secret for weeks. It was torture. Every day he fell more in love with Sirius. A joke he would tell or the way his eyebrows creased and tongue poked out when he was concentrating, or the way he talked so passionately about quidditch. All of it made a warmth spread in his chest, quickly followed by a feeling of immense guilt and anxiety. He shouldn’t be feeling this way. Not about Sirius. Not about his best friend.
His secret was making it hard for him to concentrate on anything. His homework was suffering, he hadn’t finished a book in weeks, and sometimes it was even hard for him to eat. All this guilt and anxiety was ruining his appetite.
Currently they were out by the Black Lake. Padfoot was marching away from Prongs and Wormtail and right towards Remus. He was shaking his head and laughing, causing his hair to fall over his face, and made Moony’s breath catch in his throat. Quickly, he looked away and tried to refocus on the book he was reading. He’d been trying to read this for days now, but couldn’t seem to get more than 50 pages in.
Moony could feel the boy’s eyes on him, burning a hole into the side of his head. He wished Sirius would look away. His staring was making Remus blush. “Moony, is everything alright with you?” He asked abruptly.
This inquiry caused Moony’s head to shoot ip with wide eyes and a gapping mouth.
“What are you talking about? Everything’s fine. I’m okay. Why do you ask?” These questions would’ve been normal if he hadn’t asked them so quickly or so defensively. But he did, and it caused Sirius to sit up, concern written on his face.
“Moony, honestly, what’s wrong? You’ve been distant and quiet, and I’m pretty sure you’ve been trying to read that same book for a week now. That’s not like you. Are you feeling okay? The moon isn’t for another week and a half.” His distressed tone made Moony smile a little bit. He was the sweetest, kindest person in the world.
“No. I’m really fine Pads. It’s just stress. Finals and everything.” He played it off and tried to find his spot in the book.
“Don’t bullshit me Remus. This isn’t just your pre-final stress frenzy. This doesn’t have anything to do with finals or tests, or the full moon. I’ve missed you these past few weeks Moony. Please tell me what’s wrong. Maybe I can help.” His tone was concerned and upset. His eyes held fear, and it broke Remus’ heart.
“I...I wish I could Pads, but... I just really can’t.” He shut his book and stood up to leave.
He walked halfway across the lawn before he heard Sirius calling his name. He didn’t turn around. He couldn’t turn around. If he did, and saw Sirius calling his name and running after him, his heart would melt and he would confess everything. So he kept walking.
He was about to ascend the staircase to Gryffindor tower when a hand pulled on his shoulder, slowing him to a stop.
“Remus, please stop.” He was panting from running all the way from the lake. “Remus, we need to talk.” This couldn’t happen. Remus wasn’t ready for this to happen. He didn’t want to loose his best mate.
“Sirius, I told you. I’m fine. I’m handling it. Please, just let it go.” He breathed out, turning his bak and walking up the stairs.
“You know I can’t do that Moons. I know there is something wrong. I can’t just let you sit here and suffer. I can help. I want to help Remus.” he argued, following after his friend.
“Why not?” He shouted in frustration. “Padfoot, what don’t you understand? I can’t tell you!” Why couldn’t he just drop it?
“Moony, you can tell me anything. I’d never judge you or be a dick about it. I’m here for you Remus. Is this about classes? A professor? Another student? Is someone harassing you?” He guessed.
“No, it’s nothing like that Pads. It’s nothing at all. Forget this. It’s not even a big deal. This is being blown way out of proportion.” They were at the portrait and he was getting beyond frustrated with this conversation.
“Runespoors.” He said to the Fat Lady. The portrait swung open, allowing the boys to enter.
“Don’t be like that Moony. If it’s bothering you, then it’s not ‘no big deal’.” They were at the stairs to the rooms now.
“Look Sirius. I’ve got homework to do. If it becomes something I can’t handle, I promise I’ll tell you. Okay?” Without another word he stomped up to their room. Alone.
If their relationship felt strained before, it felt practically nonexistent now. They’d barely spoken a word to each other in days. It was killing them both.
Every time either walked into a room their eyes met. Sirius was still worried and the concern was always prevalent on his face. Remus missed him. Not only in an ‘I’m in love with you and want to be near you’ type of way. He missed his best friend. He missed hanging out with Sirius, James, and Peter.
He didn’t feel comfortable around his friends anymore. He felt like he was lying to them. He couldn’t look them in the eyes. The guilt was overwhelming. This secret was ruining his life.
Remus was alone in thier room. The other three were in detention for a prank, that for once, Moony hadn’t helped plan. He was avoiding Padfoot and the others as much as possible.
He was finally working on finishing the book he was reading, not really paying attention to anything going on around him. He didn’t notice when Sirius walked in, and he didn’t notice when Sirius stood there, watching them.
Sirius had missed Remus these past few weeks. He had no idea what had been going on with him, and no idea why he was shutting everyone out.
Sirius had always known he felt something for Moony. Something different that friendship. Something more than friendship. This time apart had really solidified these feelings.
He realized that he couldn’t stand being apart from Moony like this. He wasn’t used to his. He was used to always sitting next to Remus. Always looking to him first to see if he’d laughed at his joke. Always finding some way to touch him, feel him against his skin.
He missed his smile, his laugh, his warmth. He missed Moony. He hadn’t seen him in months, and it’d been torture.
Sirius waited a minute to watch the boy read. This was one of his favorite things about Remus. The way he sunk into a story. The way it consumed him. He got so completely invested in the story and it was beautiful. He was so concentrated on it, and everything around him disappeared.
After a minute he cleared his throat, alerting the boy to his presence.
Moony looked up and took in the boy before turning back to his page.
“I thought you had detention. Whaat are you doing here? Where are Prongs and Wormtail?” HIs voice was calm, but his words were desperate.
“I got done early. They’re still cleaning cauldrons for Slughorn.” To that Remus didn’t reply at all. Just nodded.
“Moony. Do you remember telling em that you’d finally talk about what was going on if you couldn’t handle it anymore?” He shut his eyes and let out a big sigh.
“Pads, I’m oaky. Nothing’s changed.” He said this, but clutched his book harder.
“What if I’m not?” That got Moony’s attention. “Moony, I miss you. You haven’t actually talked to me in a long time. You have completely shut me out and I can’t do this anymore.” He shoved his hands into his hair in frustration.
“I’m sorry Padfoot. I didn’t... I didn’t realize this was hurting you I didn’t ever mean to hurt you. That’s n-not.” His voice broke. “I never meant to do that.” His skin began to get blotchy, and he was on the verge of tears.
“I know you didn’t mean to Re. I just hate this. I hate that you feel like you can’t talk to me. What can I do to make you get that. What can I do to make you get that I am here for you? I care about you Remus.” He moved to go sit on his own bed.
They were only about four feet apart, but it felt like miles.
“I know all that Sirius. I know, I just... I can’t tell you because it would hurt us Sirius. It would ruin us.” He couldn’t help the tears sliding down his cheeks.
“Moony.” He cooed, climbing off his bed and over to Remus’. “Moony, nothing is going to ruin us.” He grabbed Remus’ jaw and wiped the tears off his cheeks. “We’re us.” The feeling of warmth spread relief throughout his body. It grounded him. Cleared his foggy thoughts.
“Moony... he stared into the boy’s eyes for a second before continuing. “Moony, I think I have feelings for you. I think he might be in love with you.” The confusion on Remus’ face filled Padfoot with fear.
This was a bad idea. He thought... maybe telling him would help. Maybe he’d know that he could tell him anything and they’d be okay. The confusion was a bad sign though.
The only reason Remus looked confused was because he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Was this happening? Was this real?
“You...you love me?” Even saying those words brought a smile to his face.
“I...uh...yeah. I do. I love you Remus. I love you, and I need you to know that nothing you could tell me is going to change that. Nothing could make me stop loving you.” Remus’ hands moved up to hold Siruis’
“You really want to know?” His grey eyes were honest and hopeful. It made something warm bloom in his stomach.
He nodded, giving Remus the go-ahead to share what’d been going on. Mentally preparing himself to hear it.
“Well, there’s this guy. I’ve know him for a really long time. Recently I realized that I’m hopelessly in love with him. I am really good friends with him and it killed me think that I could ruin our relationship by telling him that. So, instead I distanced myself. That made everything worse.” Sirius was grinning from ear-to-ear after hearing this confession. “It killed me to be away from him and I couldn’t handle it, but I kept telling him that I could. But he, the absolute genius he is, confronted me. He told me he loved me too. So, that’s what I’ve been going through.” He interlinked their fingers, kissing them one by one.
“Well, thank you for finally telling me. I actually think this is something I can help with. Aren’t you lucky?” He smirked and gave Remus a cheeky wink.
“Well, that’d be great. What did you have in mind?”
“Well, this bloke, whoever he is, seems like the brilliant, devilishly handsome type. I think you should tell him how you feel. How could he not love you back? Both boy’s hearts were beating fast.
“Well, in that case... Sirius Black, I am in love with you. You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever met, and everything about you drives me mad.” The second he finished his sentence, Sirius jumped on him, kissing him passionately.
After a second, Remus pulled away. He was grinning, but when he looked down at the book he’d been reading his smile faltered.
“Sirius. I’m not... I don’t deserve you.” That took Sirius by surprise.
“What does that even mean Moony? How the hell are you not good enough for me?” His tone was even a little defensive.
“It means that I’m not good enough for you. You are amazing, and beautiful, and smart, and funny, and strong, and brave. I’m.. I’m not. You deserve someone who is more than me. More than a monster.” He couldn’t look Padfoot in the eyes as he said it. He didn’t want this to be true. He wanted to be worthy of Sirius, but he couldn’t fool himself.
“Remus...” He grabbed the boy’s jaw and pulled his face up so they met each other’s eyes. “Remus, you are not a monster. You are strong and amazing. I wouldn’t be anything without you Remus. You have made me who I am. You are everything to me Moony. I love you. You are worth everything.” He pressed a soft kiss to the boys lips. Tears streamed down both their faces now.
“I love you.” Remus mumbled against Sirius’s lips.
“I love you too, Remus.”

Summary: Remus has had enough of Sirius’ teasing, and decides to teach him a lesson.
“I hate watching them.” Sirius mumbled grumpily at breakfast, as he tore viciously into a piece of toast. “They’re too cute. It’s actually making me sick.” As he said this though, he couldn’t take his eyes off of Lily and James. They were sitting a few places down the long table.
The pair were holding hands and staring longingly into each other’s eyes. They were giggling to one another, and Sirius would bet money that if he looked under the table, they would be playing footsie.
“You know what the solution is, right?” Moony smirked down at the paper he was editing.
“Gross them out just as much.” Sirius replied at the same time Remus said.
“Stop watching them.” Padfoot’s response made Moony’s head whip us in surprise.
The look of shock on Moony’s face made Sirius laugh loudly. That look was the entire reason he made the joke. Well, it was only partly a joke.
Sirius did that a lot. Joke about dating, kissing, flirting, etc. He only did it because of how flustered Remus got. He would stumble, and blush furiously, and even stutter every time the other boy made these comments. It was really adorable.
Sirius had talked about being with Remus all the time. He talked about Moony being cute, and adorable, and how he’d make a good boyfriend. But it was always in a joking tone. It never felt completely sincere. Every time he talked about it though, Moony felt longing. Wanting. He really did like Sirius, and he was sick of the games.
That night in the common room, after a lot of psyching himself up, he walked over to where his friends were sitting. Instead of sitting in the empty spot he would’ve usually occupied, he took up a spot right in Sirius’ lap.
The look of shock on the boy’s face rivaled Remus’ that morning. The other’s face held curiosity and amusement.
Moony started up a conversation, dragging the attention away from the current display of PDA.
His friends quickly moved on from the boys, hardly even noticing them anymore. At this point they were used to the two boy’s flirtatious behavior.
“What are you doing?” Sirius whispered in his friend’s ear. Moony had never done anything like this before. Padfoot was typically the bold one. Moony had never been one to reciprocate.
“You said this morning that you wanted to make them as grossed out as you were.” He grabbed Padfoot’s hand, threading the boy’s finger through his own.
“Do you want me to stop?” He dropped the playful tone. If Sirius wasn’t okay with this, he would stop.
“N-no. It’s okay.” As much as Padfoot hoked about his feelings for his friend, they were incredibly real. Being this close to Moony was practically intoxicating. He really did not want him to move.
They continued talking to their friends, or rather, Remus was. Sirius was occupied by the feeling of Moony’s soft fingers tracing shapes onto his collarbone.
They sat like that the rest of the night. Once everyone started to work on their course work, Remus turned his attention onto Padfoot.
“So, do you think it’s working?” He asked, pressing his forehead to Sirius’.
“What?” It was hard to focus on anything other than where Remus’ skin was touching his.
“James and Lily.” He clarified. “Do you think they’re grossed out yet?” Sirius glanced over at the two. They were sitting right against each other. They weren’t holding hands, but the backs of their hands were resting together. They weren’t paying attention to anyone other than themselves. Sirius was starting to understand the feeling.
“Um... I don’t think so. Doesn’t look like they are paying too much attention to anything.” Sirius got it now. Nothing else was important, other than Remus. Everything else was blocked out. Why would he even want to focus on anything else.
“Maybe we should up the ante then.” At first this was a game. He wanted to teach Pads a lesson, but now it was all he could do not to give into his impulses and kiss the boy right here and now. Instead though, he only nuzzled his nose into the boy’s neck.
Sirius shut his eyes and stretched his neck out, giving Moony more space. This boy would be the death of him.
“Are they watching now?” Moony whispered against his neck. The trickle of hot breath caused Padfoot to let out a hiss of breath.
“Who cares?” He was done trying to hold back his reaction to Moony.
Sirius grabbed the boy’s hand in his once more and threaded his other hand through Moony’s curly brown hair.
Remus turned his head to lock eyes with Sirius. There was no more teasing in the boy’s eyes. They were both sincere now. Neither were joking anymore. They both wanted to be here. They both wanted each other.
All the other people in the room faded away. The only two important people in the room were Remus Lupin and Sirius Black.
“Kiss me.” Before Sirius could even think about it, the words were out of his mouth.
The surprise so familiar to Remus’ face was back in full force now.
“You... you want me to ki-”
“Kiss me Remus.” His words were a statement, but his tone was a question. His face was pleading. He wanted this so badly.
Remus’ hand fell softly to Sirius’ jaw, and their lips finally fell together. Their lips brushed together slowly, longingly. The kiss was full of passion, and years of need.
As they finally pulled apart, Sirius whispered slowly
“I think they noticed now.” Both boy’s eyes shifted to their friends.
Their faces were full of shock, their eyes were wide and mouths gaping.
“Yeah, I think they got the message.” He chuckled, and let their foreheads fall together once more.

Power couple
Peter X Reader
Warnings: None
Fluff
Word count: 371
Summary: You’re hanging out with Peter and debating how good of a superhero you’d be
“Peter, do you think I’d make a good superhero?” You were hanging off the end of Peter’s bed, playing with his web-shooters.
“You’d be a funny superhero.” He smiled at you while working on his chemistry homework.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You sat up, giving him your most intimidating glare.
“It means that you’re the most clumsy, person I’ve ever met. You’re also too cute to be at all intimidating. You’d make a good comic relief superhero, but I’m not sure you’d have Thor shaking in his boots.” You gaped at him in offense.
“You’re supposed to, as my boyfriend, support me unconditionally! You’re supposed to say I’d make a kick-ass superhero!” You lectured him.
“Look babe, if it makes you feel better, even I’m mostly comic relief. Also, being cute is definitely not a bad thing!” He gave you one of his cutest, goofy, teeth-exposing grin.
“No Peter, you’re a bad-ass too! We are both super intimidating, and just because you’re adorable and funny doesn’t make you any less kick-ass. And, if you’re kick-ass, that means I can be just as kick-ass.” You swung your head back, so it was hanging off the bed again. “We should become a power couple, and beat all the evil villains.” You ranted a bit delirious from all the blood starting to rush to your head.
“Sounds good sweetheart.” He laughed, humoring you. “What would be your superpower?” He pulled his attention back to his homework.
“I don’t know! Do any of you do mind control or anything like that? That could be interesting.”
“Wanda deals with that a little. She can like alter people’s realities and stuff.” He didn’t look up from his paper.
“Okay, what about invisibility. I could do some invisible bad guy butt-kicking!” You punched your fists in the air
“Sounds good y/n. ‘Spiderman and the Invisible butt-kicker!’ The crime-fighting power couple. It sounds good, I like it!” He chuckled, checking the periodic table in front of him.
“It does sound good!” You knew he was joking, so you pushed the joke. “We’ll make history! The best couple ever! There will be books, comics, movies, and even docu-series all about us. How we fought evil and fell in love!”

Friday Night Phone Call
Tom Holland fluff
TomxReader
Word count: 928
Warnings: None
Summary: Tom’s off shooting for the next Spiderman movie, and can’t come to date night. The two of you have a phone date instead.
It was Friday night. Date night. Well, it would be date night it Tom were in town, but he had left to start shooting Spiderman on Monday. He wouldn’t be back for a few months.
At 7:00 the phone rang. The second you heard the vibration coming from the kitchen counter, you ran to answer it, hoping it was the man you loved. You immediately picked up the phone and answered it without a second thought. You’d been waiting for this all night.
“Tom! Come back home, I miss you too much.” You even put on a jumper he’d left here in order to feel closer to him.
“I wish I could love. I miss you too. How’d your day go? What’d you do?” This was something you loved about Tom. He’d always ask about how you ere doing before talking about himself, and his infinitely more fascinating day. He really wanted to know how you ere. He wouldn’t even answer questions about himself until you talked about your day. He needed to know how you were.
“It was fine. Normal. It just feels really weird that you’re not here though. It’s going to be hard getting used to doing nothing on Friday nights.” You curled up even further into his jumper.
“Don’t get used to it babe. I’ll be back before you know it. I’ll come visit, and if you want, I can fly you down here. We can even have phone dates every Friday night. It’ll be almost like it used to be.” Hearing his voice was comforting, but something was wrong. His tone was sad, and he sounded overly tired.
“Tom, what’s wrong? How are you doing? Is work going okay?”
“Yeah... it’s all fine. I love doing this job. I’m so lucky I get to do this. It just feels really lonely here without you. It’s been a really long day, and I just really need a hug from you.” His voice cracked a little as he said it, and your heart cracked right along with it.
“Can you facetime? I’d really like to see your face.” This was so hard. How could you do this? It’d only been four days and you’re already physically aching from how much you missed him. How could you do months more of this>
Your phone buzzed with a facetime request from him, and your heart burst with relief when you finally saw his familiar face.
“Tom.” Your voice broke as you said his name, and you couldn’t help the tears that fell from your eyes.
“Don’t cry love. It’s okay, I’ll see you really soon.” As he said that, he looked about as relieved as you did. It was like a weight had been lifted off him.
“I’m sorry babe.” You wiped your eyes, ridding your face of tears. “I just really missed your face.”
“Is that my jumper?” He raised his eyebrows, amusement lining his features.
“Technically, yes. It’s yours. However, you left it here, so I’m using it. It’s warm and it smells like you. It’s like a constant hug from you. So, until it stops smelling like you, I’m going to keep it. Maybe even after that.” You wrapped your arms tightly around yourself.
“Just let me know if that one loses its smell. I’ll get you a different one.” He smiled, already feeling better. Getting to talk to you and see your face has been the best part of his day. You were always the best part of his day. Your personality, your smile, your sense of humor. Everything about you was absolutely perfect for Tom.
“So, what’ve you been working on? How’s good ‘ole Peter Parker doing?” You loved hearing about Tom’s job. He got to do something so incredible every day. He was also so talented, and every single time you saw him act, you were in awe at how good he was at his job.
“Peter’s still Peter. They don’t really tell me much about what I”m working on though. They’re worried about me spoiling the movie. I don’t blame them though. I’m really bad at secrets.” He chuckled.
“Oh, come on! You don’t give yourself enough credit. You’re not that bad at keeping secrets.” You tried to boost his ego, but what he was saying was true.
Tom didn’t say anything for a few moments. All he did was stare at you, hearts in his eyes.
“I love you so much, you have no idea.” His voice was soft, almost a whisper.
“I think I have some idea. I love you too.” Your eyes matched his.
“I’m going to marry you someday.” He said it because it was so undeniably true. He felt it down to his core, and he couldn’t not say it.
“Is that a proposal Tom Holland?” You giggled. “Next time you ask that, I’d prefer you to be here in person.” He laughed loudly at your joke, glad you didn’t freak out and that you took it with a bit of levity. “I’d say yes though. When you ask, I will say yes. I want to marry you too Tom.” You’ve never meant anything more.
